Twilight and Spike, siblings in all but blood, go adventuring together in Canterlot. They don't find what they are looking for, but they stumble onto something better.

Written in a universe where Spike acts more mature, and Twilight is slightly more adventurous. Both are young adults, though Spike is still considered a juvenile because 'dragon years'.

Twilight Sparkle has fulfilled her destiny and become the sole ruler of Equestria.

Unfortunately, at her first council meeting, she learns a terrible truth.

Equestria is a bit of a mess.

It's not been very long since the defeat of Tirek, Cozy Glow, and Chrysalis; Twilight Sparkle' grand coronation will soon come to pass; and Starlight Glimmer will finally become Headmare of the School of Friendship. After all that has happened, Starlight finally feels that she had adequately redeemed herself and can finally move on from her past misdeeds.

Unfortunately, there's a whole universe full of ponies that won't let things go so easily.

"Starlight Glimmer! Yer under ahrrest fer crimes against equinity!"

Tempest Shadow has her orders - she has been assigned as the personal bodyguard of Princess Twilight at the Princess’ first Grand Galloping Gala. Of course, given the requirements of the position, Tempest is reasonably certain that the only reason she was given the job is because the Princess is engaged in one of her covert friendship lessons.

Still, she has to get a proper gown, and a plus-one. Fortunately, Rarity has a referral for where she can get both… if Tempest realizes what her options are.

The Crystal Empire. An astonishing place up in Nort-Equestria, where crystal ponies live and give their belief to the crystal heart. The ruler is Queen Flurry Heart, her adopted son, Prince Pinto Cloud is the heir of the royal throne.

The date is not long before this year's Hearts Warming Eve Royal Ball. As a welcomed and so beloved tradition, many treats of far-away Equestrian land are served for the guests – including the juicy, gooey honey straight from Ponyville, a small town close to Canterlot.

Only the deliverer pony is the only update in the well-known system: Honeybuzz, the second mare child of Goldenjar, the owner of Ponyville Honeyfarm. The stallion gave his daughter the task to deliver the ordered quantity for the royal ball – however, a mystery coming to daylight messes up everything planned.

How did the Prince himself and a simple mare cross paths? Why does a long-forgotten royal affair pop up right before such event?
