It's late at night, and Trixie is busy enjoying her dinner. While being right in the middle of her meal, she is also expressing her love for herself through the use of a mirror. Little does she know, Twilight's watching from the bushes, and Trixie has foolishly left her window hanging wide open.

It's just a day after Trixie's show where she preformed the trick only the Great Hoofdini did before her, diving into the mouth of a manticore and making her first friend in one Starlight Glimmer. But oddly enough, she hasn't gone back on the road for another town, another show. In fact, she's stayed in town a bit longer and when Twilight comes around to investigate she has one particular thing to say that'll leave the Princess of Friendship shocked and confused about her own feelings for the showmare, with her student caught up in the middle of it all...

One day Trixie shows up at Twilight's door. She has decided to atone for her misdeeds through an ancient Unicorn tradition-becoming Twilight's slave.

A week after transferring to Canterlot High, Twilight meets Trixie and immediately develops a crush. However, even after overcoming some of her social anxiety with the help of her new friends, the shy girl still struggles with confessing her feelings to the magician, let alone pursuing them.

Will Twilight be able to get together with the girl of her dreams?

Although Twilight's been a Princess for well over a year, she can't help but think she isn't ready or even worthy of such a political position. Just because she's punctual with her work and very educated when it comes to magic and friendship, she still cracks under pressure and feels as if she isn't worthy of such a position. Luckily, she has a loyal marefriend who's more than willing to prove her wrong.

Ambivalence befalls Trixie soon after her proposal to Twilight Sparkle. Such thoughts and feelings run circles in her head with no answers in sight, and Twilight's plans for the day may only come to worsen her mental struggle.

After "Magical Duel", Trixie returned to Ponyvile and has had countless duels with her rival, Twilight, but after a time, Trixie decides that she and Twilight should stop pretending to fight and let their hidden feelings out, letting their love blossom so that they can live happily in each others embrace.

Twilight was not aware of any of these feelings.
