Equestria's a big place. Big enough for history to forget about the little wars that raged across every mile of the wasteland. Wedged between New Appleloosa and Fillydelphia, Pinewood Valley is always drenched in bandit blood as gangs vie for territory, wealth, and power.

One bandit, a zebra named Phisa, has just been betrayed for the last time. She was close to the top, only for everything to come crashing down in a heartbeat. On the run and out for revenge, she must assemble her own rag-tag group of outcasts to fight back against her old allies and claim her place as the toughest, most feared bandit in the Pinewood.

A young filly in present day Ponyville is cursed with nightmares of post-apocalyptic Equestria. She finds herself influencing the course of future history in ways that she cannot understand. She must learn to balance her life at home with her life on the other side of the veil, and fight to preserve her own sanity, and her own innocence.

She discovers that such a task is only possible through the magic of friendship.

Pinkie tries to convince Twilight to eat some of her parchment. Apparently, paper tastes really good. Twilight's not so sure what to think.

When the war between the ponies and the zebras first broke out, the question on many pony’s minds was, “Where's Discord?” Surely someone with his kind of power could have won them the war instantly. Instead, he just disappeared without a trace. Then one day, when Celestia went out into her garden, the Draconequus finally reappears. However, what he has to say is not what Celestia was expecting at all: “I’m leaving.”

Braeburn never thought things would end up as they did, ever since he was forced to join the army against his will, it's been nothing but a complete rut for him for the past two years. Still, it's not all bad, his service is about to end, and he could have his old job back in Ironshod industries. Just one last mission to take care of, and everything should go back to normal.

Sure, the war with the Zebras was taking a turn with for the scary, but it's not that bad, ponies still lived their lives as best they could even with the war going on. After all, it's not like the Zebras would blow themselves up with everypony else right?

Oh, how wrong he was....
