An infectious disease that brought back the dead ran rampant. Over three-fourths of the population have been lost to it. The military has been decimated. The government has crumbled. Their civilization has turned to shambles. But to them, it's not the end of the world. It's just another day in it.

Confronted with the worst nightmare imaginable, Celestia watches as the world burns and her bright cradle of life is extinguished. She is directly faced with her demons as she reflects and regrets her ignorant actions, which lead to the destruction of her planet.

This is the tale that starts with the end, and recalls the story behind the ultimate doom of Celestia and Equus, and how she could have prevented such tragedy.

It's been about ten years since Princess Celestia disappeared. Ten years since her disappearance changed Equestria forever. Ten years since nearly everyone became vampires.

But Twilight's not keeping anniversaries. Heck, she can barely remember her own birthday now. But that doesn't matter. She's had more important things to do, such as defending herself from the mindless vampires that attack her every night, and hunting them during the day, where she, as the only one not a vampire, has an advantage. She's killed ponies so often that she regards all the blood as a mild inconvenience. It's just the daily grind.

Or at least, it was until she left Canterlot. Her life there had become unsustainable, and so she took the train that ran through Canterlot to a small town far away on the edge of the Everfree forest- Ponyville.
There, things were different, as she discovered when she collapsed near the edge of the forest. A vampire took care of her, and that was just the start. A sequence of events leads to her making a momentous discovery:

Not all vampires are mindless. The denizens of Ponyville drink blood and sleep during the day, sure, but they're polite, friendly folk who befriend the refugee Twilight. She begins to integrate into the community, and her life seems to be looking up.

Of course, her blood-spattered past will not let her go that easily, and worse than vampires hide in the darkness. Twilight will have one last fight to keep her past from dragging her down and the future from overwhelming her. But she will fight. She has fought since she was a filly. She can win. She can hope.

After all, she is legend.

Naruto and Tirek: Two god-like entities that can change landscapes with their techniques. A battle between the two would be disastrous, for sure. With dire consequences, but necessary: Tirek had just defeated Twilight in this alternate universe, and now it is up to Naruto to save Equestria. Hopefully, this fight will be over quickly since Naruto is the type of ninja who hates talking and having flashbacks at the most inappropriate of times, am I right?

Fluttershy has an orgy of gore. But more important, the Cutie Mark Crusaders get new sweaters!

Immediately after her banishment, Sunset Shimmer is alone in a strange bipedal world, with no money and no home. A chance meeting gives her an unexpected opportunity, but she must take a great risk to seize that opportunity.

Twilight and Rainbow Dash decide to enjoy a quiet, romantic date before Nightmare Night, little do they know, their Nightmare Night will be starting early.

A thunder storm is brewing, and while everyone else is trying to seek shelter, a little girl awaits for her father in the playground. Oblivious to what fate has in store for her.

There is also another child who seeks warmth on this stormy day, and a man who comes to her aid. Only to run out of time trying to get to his daughter.
