After a misunderstanding leads to a vicious fight at Flight Camp that leaves them both in the hospital, Cloud Kicker wanted absolutely nothing to do with Rainbow Dash. However, Rainbow refuses to let a single incident destroy their friendship, and has been writing Cloud Kicker letters ever since that horrible day. For more than two years Cloud Kicker has been throwing the letter into the trash unopened, but what will happen when she finally reads one? Can their friendship possibly be salvaged?

Those are ex-Sergeant Applejack’s thoughts when she buys a fyre-flye class transport ship. For those ponies who have lost the war that unified all worlds under one benevolent tyrant, there doesn’t seem to be anywhere else to go but up. With Applejack as captain, the scavenger crew of Sereinity travels the fringes of the ‘verse, “salvaging” and selling whatever they can.

Until recently, Sereinity was able to pass under the radar of the watchful Harmony Alliance. Now, though, a certain new passenger will make that impossible.

A short trip to Canterlot with Rainbow Dash and Applejack is the perfect opportunity for Twilight to test out her new long-distance Teleportation spell. But a nasty cold dashes the hopes of a quick trip, and makes the spell disappear in smoke: instead of arriving in Canterlot, the three find themselves in the nearby Everfree Forest, and discover that their location is not the only thing that went wrong.

While Rainbow has exchanged her wings and tail for a straw blond tail, Applejack has acquired a rainbow tail as well as a pair of strong, blue wings.

While Twilight attempts to find a spell to return the body parts to their rightful owners, the others must attempt to deal with this situation... and with their changing feelings.
