Sunny is just a normal pony. He has a pretty normal life and a pretty normal job, but when ponies start turning into zombies and the streets run red, his definition of normal morphs. He and a group of ponies, thrown together by chance, must now brave whatever lies ahead. This is their struggle for survival.

This is their story.

[Author's note]: This was my first story, and the beginning chapters are sort of a rough grind. I'm working to better them, but until then they're not as good as I'd like them to be.

Good morning, afternoon, night, or whenever you're reading this. My name is Edward, aka 'patient 42', and I am currently residing in an insane asylum.
Why?
I suppose it all started When the ruler of this place called Equestria tasked her personal student, Twilight Sparkle, to travel to Earth and study the human race.
Unfortunately for Twilight, when she teleported to our world she, well... she appeared in the middle of the road. Right in front of my car. Needless to say, this put a pretty big dent in her expedition. ...as well as my car's bumper.

Sounds crazy, right? But hey, maybe thats the reason why I'm in this cell.
Point is, The story I'm about to tell you is the tale of events sparked by that ill-fated night.

note: In this plane of existence, the franchise "My Little Pony" does not exist. In short; this is not, nor will it ever be, a 'brony meets pony' story.
Also, on a more recent note, I had this idea and began writing way back in S2, so this is in no way inspired by EqG. (also, its non-alicorn twilight)

Twilight wakes up in a strange room before suddenly seeing the events that transpired to bring her to the present. It all began with a simple letter from the Princess, telling her that the time was almost over for her study in friendship and that Twilight must soon return to Canterlot. Over time she talks to her friends about the situation as she learns to cope with the situation herself, developing an unexpected relationship along the way. But when Twilight returns to the capital, she'll discover a shocking secret about Equestria's past and her future. How will Twilight handle the truth and how will it effect her personal life? All Twilight knows is that a warm summer night's breeze has never felt so perfect.

Leaving the farm with no plans, no money and, worst of all, no baked goods, how does Pinky 'settle' into her new life of love, laughter and the eternal search for the perfect pastry?
