Upon her return to Ponyville, Applejack learns Big Macintosh crossdressed at the Sisterhooves Social to help his little sister Apple Bloom. Obviously, Applejack knows Mac's behavior doesn't mean he has gender issues. If anything, it just shows how much he cares for his little sister.

However, something else happened while Applejack was away that can't be so easily dismissed.

Then things take a turn for the worse; Spike gets burned and sent to the hospital, and Twilight goes into a rage for weeks on end. Years later when Twilight remembers the incident, a image burned into her mind melds with a more recent one: eyes flashing from normal to green and slitted, and she stumbles onto something that shakes her foundation.

For some this is merely an occurrence, a mundane event, a routine that isn't surprising at all to witness. Others consider it's the most beautiful event in the world.

Both sides are true of course, for you see the meaning of life is not something that you can discover. It's something you choose yourself.
