Twilight's power, along with that of Celestia, Luna, and Cadance, has been claimed by Tirek. Drunk on power, the demon-centaur is unleashing destruction upon Equestria, his reign of terror just beginning.

But there is hope. A crystalline chest, a gift from the Tree of Harmony, able to be opened by six keys. Keys which Twilight has now claimed the last of. All they can do is hope, hope that whatever is contained inside the chest is enough to stop Tirek.

And then something goes wrong ...

The headhunters came, saved the day, and then they left. But in their wake they not only left a pile of Covenant bodies – they left Princess Twilight Sparkle with a spark of wonder. An interest in the galaxy that surrounded her little home planet; an interest in the lurking dangers and the magnificent wonders of the universe.

Unfortunately it seems some of the danger and wonder is coming to visit Equis. So it’s time for the bookish shut in to throw herself into the galaxy to find the warriors who would help her defend her home.

Marko and Ishmir are polar opposites. But that’s what makes the Spartans so good together. So good in fact they can take on a whole Covenant space station and win.

Unfortunately extraction didn’t go too well, and the headhunters find themselves stranded on an unexplored planet. Can Ishmir keep the peace with the locals and get the Spartans home; or will Marko cause an interstellar incident?

My money’s on the latter.

Twilight Sparkle is many things, but above all else, she is a friend. Her most recent acquaintance is, however, a most unusual sort.

Never before has Equestria played host to a traitor space marine of the Adeptus Astartes.

As an armor-bound soul with a body burned to naught but ash and dust, how will this former being of war fit into the love and harmony of the pony domains?

Surprisingly well, all things considered.

The immaterium is an unpredictable and fickle aspect of reality, and "impossible" ceases to be a valid term when it is involved.

As such, when Twilight witnesses a fantastical cosmic event occur above Equestria, she immediately investigates. What she finds is nothing short of one of the most dangerous artifacts to ever make its way to the relatively peaceful realm of ponies: a blackened suit of massive armor, marked by the ouroboros.
