It only housed fire, and the ashes of history. The love of her life was dead, and her only friend at that moment was the pounding rain, working hard to extinguish the destructive blaze, too little too late.

What happened was that I wrote this at about two in the morning with no game plan and no editors or proofreaders. I also did this in one sitting. I did not, nor will I ever edit this myself. (My eyes still hurt.)

The prompt for this fic was "Lyra makes pudding at 4 AM," requested by Vargras.

Lyra's public performances continue to fail to draw the crowds she needs to kickstart her career. It takes the love and care of a certain earth pony to snap her out of her rut once more.
