Discord has lived for quite a long time. Centuries as a ruler, a millennium as a rock, years as a reformed draconequus, it all gets very tiring. A nap is exactly what he needs. But when you live forever, time loses its meaning, years pass in the blink of an eye, mortals come and go like mayflies. And that's fine.
After all, any being that is truly important will live forever. Discord would never associate with anything less.

After a long, and particularly difficult day, you finally settle down for a quiet evening, when you discover a letter on your night stand, from Luna.

When a filly version of herself appears in the middle of the library, Twilight must figure out what happened. She must figure out what it means. But most importantly? She has to comfort the last person she thought she would ever have to.

Herself.

All while dealing with her own shattering reality.

Applejack is at the mercy of this unknown source as she is pulled to carousel boutique to seal her fate with Rarity in one sweet simple kiss.

Sunset Shimmer started cutting soon after the Fall Formal, guilty for what she had done. Then she never stopped, the habit sticking with her. Then Pinkie and Fluttershy find out and ask her to stop.

Equestria has lasted for many a millennia, but as it's existence draws to a close, one inhabitant is left to keep vigil over a long empty world.
