After a long hard day of friendship lessons Twilight settles down with Spike to look through her old photo album. Starlight's reaction to one of the photos brings a shocking secret to light. Starlight is a mother, and she does not know to whom.

Twilight and her friends now want to help Starlight find her long lost foal, while trying to puzzle out just how a mother could not know her own foal. Starlight meanwhile is trying to decide whether to bury the past, or drag it all up once again. Both will be painful, but the question remains. Which one would hurt the least, for all involved?

Several truths are revealed, and motivations are uncovered. When everything is laid bare how will everyone react? Will Starlight's life be turned upside down, even in this time of change for the former villain?

Filly Pinkie has just come from her latest sensational party. Hyped up with energy she decides to go for a walk before going home, when she happens upon a scared pegasus huddled in a bush. She had fallen down from Cloudsdale earlier, as she had once before.

Pinkie Pie slowly gains Fluttershy's trust by being friendly and respecting her boundaries, and the two of them become fast friends. As Fluttershy falls asleep Pinkie keeps watch over her until her family can pick her up. Having never been too close to a pegasus, Pinkie gets a little TOO interested in the extra appendages.

Time Turner has a secret that he does his best to hide while keeping time and working on his mechanical wonders. He's not a bad pony. He hasn't broken any laws, at least, none formally written anywhere. His potential marefriend, Derpy "Muffins" Hooves does love to pry though...

After yet another threat from Equestria threatens the wellbeing of Canterlot High and its students, Principal Celestia invited Princess Twilight and Sunset Shimmer for a simple discussion on what to do.

Between a less-than-willful princess, a frustrated teenager, and the wizard that crashed said discussion, she will find herself wishing she had kept her mouth shut.

Sunset doesn't know what she expected from the snap decision to go back to the town where she was born. It certainly wasn't this.

People left and right knowing her name.

Somebody pretending to be somebody pretending to be her.

The apparent existence of a world of magic and unicorns.

And in the middle of everything, a girl who looks like her, sounds like her, and has stirred up a whole mess of trouble and drama just waiting for anyone who happens to be named "Sunset Shimmer".

This is an Anon-a-Miss story, which means that it takes the 2014 comic My Little Pony: Equestria Girls Holiday Special as it's jumping off point. As is generally the case, if I write this properly it should be self-contained and thus completely accessible to people who have never read laid eyes on the comic.

The idea behind this story is that the point of divergence from the comic is human-Sunset's arrival, and that is the whole of what has changed from the original premise. As a result you won't see many of the the things that have become common in the genre as a result of the influence of Dainn's version (the sirens showing up, things escalating severely, Gilda, so forth.)

Twilight Sparkle, a creature of unimaginable happenings, is well-known for her book on her research of myths. And with her being at her batteries end, decides to take one last adventure from her life, with the help of her faithful assistant, of course. He has a maiden he wishes to see no matter what happens, and makes a venture with Twilight to find her, even if his friend doesn't know. Twilight sees her research completely flawed. Wanna know how?

Princess Twilight has just ascended to her throne of friendship and is prepared to tackle her new duties, but Princess Celestia has something of grave importance for her to do first.

She wants her to meet her family.

We all have that one pony in our lives.
