Then, when Pinkie Pie, the only other pony there, is separated from Rainbow Dash. it's up to her to find and rescue her from whatever might be waiting. Friendshipping. A storm of epic proportions sweeps over Equestria, leaving the ponies of Ponyville to try to piece their lives back together.

On paper, Lightning Streak has everything. A wonderful boyfriend, a healthy lifestyle with a body to match, and he's one of the fastest flyers in Equestria, as signified by the flight suit he proudly wears. But every day, he still pushes himself harder and harder, continuing to go to the very brink of his limits just so he can be good enough. Thunderlane worries about him, sure, and the other Wonderbolts don't have the same thought process for some reason. But that's not his problem, it's theirs. After all, only winners get rewards. Failures get nothing.

Sunset Shimmer receives a call from Rainbow Dash in the middle of the night. Rainbow Dash is lost and something feels wrong.

"Derpy..." He knew he needed to say something, but, well...Words had never really been Thunderlane's strong suit. Taking a quick moment to think on what would be the right thing, he hunched down next to her, resting his cheek on his own forelegs as he peered at her. "I'm glad you're not part a my family."

Her muffled sob was a very clear indication that that was decidedly not what she wanted to hear.
