The Harmony Games: a competition of gladitorial combat meant to promote harmony and friendship between the clans of Equestria. The idea that combat can promote friendship is idiotic to Twilight, like friendship itself. She doesn't have time to be playing children's games; there's a serious threat predicted and she has to find it before something catastrophic happens. How can 'friendship' possibly be of any use?

As Twilight Sparkle investigates, she uncovers rumors that the Shadow Blade cult who did the bidding of The Nightmare back during the Dark Times, are back in force. And they have a plan.

So yeah, it is in the same universe but doesn't require any reading to understand this story. Takes place after Beyond My Grave: Nightlight.

Edit: I don't know how this story got so popular. I wrote this in 4 hours with little thought at all. Though it wasn't featured, (sadly) it was on the popular page for 3 days and got the most views in a short amount of time than any of my other stories. So thanks for that.

When her team is revealed to be a rather famous set of siblings, it looks like poor Spike will be her slave for a week!
