When one becomes corrupted by darkness they feel they need to drag someone else down with them. Sombra does exactlly this when he returns to the Crystal empire and chooses the member of the mane six he think would fit best to rule by his side

Rainbow Dash isn't your ordinary pegasus. She has a secret ability that ponies thought only unicorns and alicorns could posses. Magic! Not magic like Twilight's though, Rainbow's is stronger. And it's dark magic.

Sorry I suck at descriptions

So I had a weird dream where I saw Rainbow Dash ruling the Crystal Empire like Sombra did and thought, "Hey would it make a cool story if Rainbow Dash was secretly King Sombra's daughter and had a stronger version of his abilities?" So here it is! Not too harsh in the comments please, this is just an experimental story to see where it goes. Helpful advice is always welcome though!

Sombra and Rainbow Dash took over the Crystal Empire, Equestria now finds itself at war. Then after the first major battle Sombra makes an unexpected move, a peace treaty. But what will it mean for the future of both nations.

A/N: Even though the cover art is bad ass it's not what Rainbow will be wearing in the story. Also certain events won't happen like Twilight becoming a princess as it took all the elements to make her into an alicorn.

How did this happen. King Sombra has returned and taken over the Crystal Empire, the elements bearers are divided, and Equestria is at war. To understand the end we must start at the beginning, and it all started when Rainbow Dash preformed her first sonic rainboom.

A tale of evil, deceit and betrayal.

Icarus, the mayor of Cloudsdale, threatens to shroud Equestria in a thick fog, so thick that it blots out the sun. What does this mean? Why is it so important to fill Equestria with fog? And what part does Rainbow Dash play in his plans?

These are the thoughts that are running through Twilight's mind after Rainbow leaves for Cloudsdale in search of answers. But in Cloudsdale, all is not as it seems - and when Rainbow returns, her friends are in for a nasty shock.

This story is a sequel to Little Choices

In the aftermath of the fall of Canterlot, Princess Rainbow Dash and her friends have found themselves in the newly restored Crystal Empire, seeking a power that they can use to push back Queen Chrysalis and save Equestria. But with the history of the Empire shrouded in darkness, finding this power will prove a challenge.

To make matters worse, a shadowy presence lurks at the edges of the Empire, and the Changeling Swarm will only take so long to discover where the last remaining princess has gone. The pressure is mounting, and even though she feels she isn't cut out for this, Rainbow Dash must step up to her station and lead her friends, and the Empire, to save Equestria... or lose everything she holds dear.

Never thought I would write a story that necessitates this, but beware the spoilers in the comments!

Rainbow Dash is the hero of the town. She has saved many ponies, and she is very, very proud! But what happens when...

Another hero emerges?

Dash soon learns that this new hero, "Mare Do Well" is really her friends, and this upsets her. Could they really have betrayed her like that?

Rainbow Dash is pregnant, but hasn't told any of her friends. As the months progress and it becomes more obvious, she can't keep it a secret forever...can she?

After a flying accident, Rainbow Dash dies, and once she gets a taste of the afterlife, she becomes rather happy she did. But her mournful friends want to bring her back to life. Will rainbow dash be able to fly freely forever or will she have to take on the annoying roles of everyday life-before-death again.
