Tempest Shadow has her orders - she has been assigned as the personal bodyguard of Princess Twilight at the Princess’ first Grand Galloping Gala. Of course, given the requirements of the position, Tempest is reasonably certain that the only reason she was given the job is because the Princess is engaged in one of her covert friendship lessons.

Still, she has to get a proper gown, and a plus-one. Fortunately, Rarity has a referral for where she can get both… if Tempest realizes what her options are.

Princess Celestia tires of constantly being surrounded by decorum, deference, and formality, and decides to take a day off from being Princess. But visiting Ponyville incognito is harder than she expects. Will she be able to fit in and make friends without blowing her cover?

What everygriff said about ponies was true, Gelfand mused—they were some terribly confused creatures! If it wasn't friendship this, it was forgiveness that. Gelfand didn't presume to understand any of it; but what he did understand, was to never look a gift horse with a guilty conscience in the mouth!

Though he had to admit, the more time he spent with this selfless enigma, the harder it was to watch as she wasted away in her bizarre pursuit of penance...

This story is a sequel to The Sun Also Rises

Sunset Shimmer, following the aftermath of the Fall Formal, finds herself with new friends and need of a new place to live. Each of her new friends find themselves offering her an extra bed, and as time passes, she finds herself getting to know them better. All the while, she reflects on her life and what led her to coming to the human world, and finds herself wondering where she'll go from there.

Other stories will be referenced within this one, credited on a chapter-by-chapter basis and done with the original authors' permissions.

In the aftermath of the Fall Formal, Sunset Shimmer has fallen. Her power in Canterlot High is gone, and she's been exposed for the monster that she is. With nowhere else to go and nothing she can do, she retreats to where she's hidden herself since arriving in the human world, a realm that links Canterlot High and Equestria. But she isn't the only one to know about this realm, on either side, and perhaps with a little help from her new friends and her old mentor, she can find it in her to rise again.

Rainbow Dash crashes and is tended to by a mysterious stranger. A mysterious stranger that is still watching over her but refuses to show themselves. That doesn't mean that Rainbow Dash is going to be content sitting and waiting for her wing to heal.
