After a surprise attack along her favourite patrol route, Princess Luna crashlands into the Everfree Forest, battered and broken. Outside the walls of the sanctuary of the strange pony that rescued her, the dangerous denizens of the Everfree lurk. Forced to remain in hiding while her sister secretly investigates, how will she cope under the mysterious canopy of the Everfree and without the luxury of her castle?

There is a thin line between a princess and a wild forest pony, thinner than a zap apple stem. Now it's up to Luna not to cross it.

Starlight and Trixie, as part of their duties as staff of the School of Friendship, traveled outside Equestria for a recruitment drive. However, their trip to Mount Aris was waylaid by a problem with the railway. Still wanting to make good time, Starlight decided they should hoof it through the wilderness south of Equestria.

Just south of the MacIntosh Hills, the two find a vast forest before them. With every step inside, the canopy above grows thicker and thicker. They may never see the sun again.

This story is a sequel to All That We Become: A Single Step

The wedding between Cadence And Shining Armor is perhaps one of the most bittersweet moments in recent Equestrian history. A famous union of true love between Princess and Captain of the Royal Guard, tarnished forever by the insidious treachery and assault of one of Equestria's most infamous villains. Even so, time has seen love conquer the bleak moments of the event and the villain of the story on the path to reformation; time though has not healed the deep wound left by the event which is something Celestia is hoping to see done. Chrysalis and Cadence come face to face, with family at their sides, in an effort to both move on.

This story is a sequel to Eyes in the Abyss

"Redemption in a long way gone. Not a road found, but earned."

Once, she was a powerful queen. Feared by all, loved by none. Refined through years of violence and bloodshed, she had become one of the few beings in history to have challenged the royal sisters and survive. Empires had fallen before her. Ages had come and passed without touching her regal beauty. She had been magnificent.

Chrysalis was no longer that queen.

Now, she bowed and scraped before pony commoners by day, and endured the moon princess' torture by night. Such is her burden. Such was the price of weakness. But the nightmares only grow worse, and in time she came to suspect that they were something much more sinister than Equestrian punishment.

With the princess Luna's help, she finally turns to face the demons that have pursued her for so long.

A Silent Canterlot awaits...

Princess Celestia sets out to reform Queen Chrysalis. Easier said than done.

I've done too much dark and serious stuff with Chrysalis. It's time to have some fun with her playful, snarky side.

Princess Luna, growing evermore aware that Equestria has come under attack in recent days by a seemingly invisible foe, decides to petition Princess Twilight Sparkle to allow her to found an organisation in order to combat the threat.

And so begins the strange tale of the Nightmare Knights, Equestria's newest reformed team of villains, as they bring peace, justice, order and security to the world--one ghastly ghoul at a time.

You might be afraid of ghosts. But they ain't.

*Warning: This story is in the process of major rewrites. These rewrites will be released on a separate story when they are finished and marked as Version 2. The rewrites do shift a great deal of the story, leaving only the rough frame of the chapters intact. Because of this, this story is to be considered non-canon to the sequels, but will be kept around for those who wish to compare the two or want to see an alternate take on the story. I apologize for any inconvenience, and hope all you perspective readers out there will continue to enjoy this work for what it is.*

It’s not easy being Queen. Especially not if you’re the Changeling Queen. It’s even harder and more frustrating when some peasant convinces all your subjects to abandon you and instead become some colourful butterfly/deer thingies.

But hey, that’s just how it is. Times are changing, and Chrysalis will have to adapt to the inevitable, whether she wants to or not.

And with that I mean she really, really, really doesn’t want to.

Lesson one: Food.
