Randomly decided to make a new story today · 8:16am Dec 12th, 2012
So, I was thinking about this little idea I had, and the urge to start writing became too great to resist. The premise of my story is that Celestia and Luna are actually mortal unicorns who have cast themselves as monarchs to ensure Equestria's continued survival. Twilight is confronted by Princess Celestia and told that she is to become the next Celestia (supposedly there have been many over the centuries and the origins of the monarchy were in an effort to unite the tribes). Basically, anything involving deities in the show is actually just a facade to keep the public afraid and united.
Here's the style. The entire story is actually written in the form of Twilight's last memoir written in her prison cell as she is to be executed for treason along with the other elements. That story is then framed inside Pick's (OC) story as he's reading this in the same cell Twi originally occupied.
Obviously there are a lot of kinks to work out, and I'm trying to explain this at 3AM, so give me some cred. I think this'll be fun, though. I don't think I can actually describe my excitement regarding this. /)^3^(\
I must say I like the idea. Sounds badass. Do it.
601887 Yeah, I'm getting tired of shipping () I figured this would be a good change of pace.
Sounds like a good idea, I would give a whirl.
601893 Anything with world building is awesome. And this is such an interesting take on the world and very original. I can't wait to read it. A change of pace is always a welcome one too. I have ideas for another story that doesn't involve shipping but I want to finish FdLN first. So many ideas so little time... Glad to hear of something original that sounds actually good though.
601899 You and I are just going to have to do a collab at some point. It's inevitable.
601899 Also, that could put a new twist on NMM too. I could say that "Luna" was actually trying to remove the monarchy and that's why she was "banished" (actually killed).
Alt-uni has such an open landscape
I'm reminded of the psuedoplot in 120 Days of Blueblood.
602001 Never read it.
601904 I'd be down. But hey on the note of your idea, there was that one shot in the first Discord episode where the animators forgot to put Celestia's wings on there. Maybe it was a clue...
