Scootaloony Episode Stuff · 5:54pm Dec 8th, 2012
Well, this episode was sure interesting. Here's a list I made of some of the things we've learned from it. Naturally, if you haven't seen it yet you may not want to read this blog. I had fun with the episode; it was great for a few laughs. Sweetie Belle is just as manipulative as Rarity is.
- Scootaloo doesn't have a big sister.
- No one other than Rainbow Dash is willing to take her under their wing. (No family? Orphan living on Ponyville's streets?)
- Scootaloo has the same insecurities as RD.
- Princess Luna has the power to visit dreams. She's a real life night mare.
- Luna knows Scootaloo by name and chose to visit her dreams.
- Rainbow Dash snores.
- Scootaloo thinks Luna is awesome.
- Always carry a rusty horseshoe to ward off crazy old mares.
- Scootaloo can't fly without assistance. 100% confirmed.
- Nothing has contradicted The End of Ponies Scootaloo backstory entirely yet.
- "Face your fears!"
- Rainbow waterfalls.
- More stuff I could come up with if I watched the episode again.
What kind of other things did you notice? Did the episode live up to the adorableness quota?
M-maybe when she gets bigger, she'll be able to fly? ... Please?
If she is a permanently ground-bound poni, then I'm voting that for End of Ponies, just like how her being that last pony gave her the ability to use magic, since she's Entropa's Avatar/Imbued with the Spirit of Ponykind/whatever, she gains the ability to fly.
My love for RD and Scoots was fullfilled today beyond what I could have hoped for I was worried about EOP canon with this one, but it had nothing that seemed to conflict, and almost seemed to enforce it in a few areas. It doesn't seem to address her lack of an ability to fly as an impairment, but rather Pound Cake simply being an oversight on the whole age to learn to fly thing. She'll get that some day, I have no doubt :3
One that you forgot though:
- Rainbow Dash can kick through trees, furthering her awesomeness ;)
587880 Yeah I didn't get a perma ground bound feeling off this either. just that right now she's not a great flyer, nothing to say that could change. I know Faust's original plan was she would be a perma cripple but I think that's too dark for this show to be likely.
As for the orphan thing she could just have really busy parents. I kinda feel like people using this episode to justify their ideas that Scoots is an orphan are overreaching things. *shrugs*
Also that Sweetie Belle's special talent may not be singing and should clearly be in weight lifting
