Some Updates and Non-pony-related Things · 6:51am Mar 1st, 2014
I suppose it's been a while since I changed any kind of status here, so I've got an overall update for those of you people interested.
Since I'm taking twenty credits this semester at college, weeks have oscillated between busy and insanely busy, giving me relatively little time to devote to writing anything apart from material for my courses. Unfortunately, this means I haven't made any significant progress on the pony fic I've been intending to get at. I have about a third of it done, but that's actually in an altered form that I did for a fiction assignment last semester. Anyways, that story is still on the agenda for the future, but when is still up in the air. Fortunately, though, one of the courses that is making my workload so heavy is a senior creative writing course where I've been working on a novel based on a short story I wrote a year back about a fallen angel breaking into heaven in order to steal back his power. Right now it's very very much a work in progress, but it's one that I'm willing to share with anyone who is interested in either giving me feedback or just taking a look. (I'll edit in links to the current drafts of the chapters of the story when I sit down to do some edits tomorrow.)
They're all pretty short, and I'll probably put some chapters together in the finished product, but here they are.
Chapters:
Prologue
Chapter 1
Chapter 2
Chapter 3
ADDED:
Chapter 4
As for one of the other projects I've vaguely started, I have my recording setup for End of Ponies audio with me, but my current roommate doesn't believe in using headphones and actually recently purchased a new set of large speakers. I intend on using some campus space over spring break in a couple weeks to record at least the next couple chapters--ideally as much as the whole introductory arc since it'll be break and I want to--so we'll see how that goes. As much as I'm glad Prismic is working on his own recordings of it, I was the first one to try making EoP into a treat for more than the eyes, and to be completely honest, I need to give myself an excuse to just read it again.
So, fallen angels, ghost pony voices, and vanished librarians aside, I suppose I actually have a question for you people crazy enough to pay me any attention: Is there something that you want to see from me in the near future? Generally I'm just a presence on here for commenting on a few stories, editing, and staying in touch with the whole SATGF crew, but there really should be something more than a crazy--if hilarious--collaboration on here. I feel like adding something to the plate since I just finished midterms and there's a little less academic pressure for the next couple weeks. So, if there's something you want, let me know via comment on this blog.
I'd love to see you write something and post it here. Can't ever get enough horsewords, and I know you've got some ideas held up inside your head.
I have school to do tonight, but now I'm distracted by having something to read. Dang you =P
Dude, awesome! I was worried you had stopped working on the audiobook for good! Reading through that made me immeasurably excited It was you, after all, who set me on this path of insanity, and I would love to see yours continued as well =)
I second what Raz said, but I'd settle for those vocal horsewords ;)

I just recently got the idea for a short Scoot story that I'll put in my notebook and work on between novel chapters. It's a simple enough idea that it shouldn't take too long even for me to put out. Won't say anything else about it until a draft is done though.
