I knew that Chapter 6 of The Line was my most popular chapter. It has been since about a week since publish.
As of writing this, it's 101 views away from tying Chapter 1 for most viewed chapter. The introduction to the story is on it's way to being eclipsed by a chapter that was almost cut.
I seriously debated whether or not to add that chapter as I didn't see it doing much for the story other than pointing out that James isn't such a nice person. Stating outright that he enjoys the pain he's causing Tirek. It's an action heavy chapter and that could also have something to do with it.
Ultimately my decision to add the chapter was part "Yay, action" and part "I should show James in a darker light."
There's clearly something more to that chapter in particular that has people coming back to it, or maybe starting with it (It's title is a little funny, and a reference to Boomstick from Death Battle.) And it's not the only action based chapter in the story. The others that come to mind being: 26; 37; and the last chapter
And it's not just about placing James in an unfavorable light. There's a whole mini arc about that.
Ultimately, this is just an interesting thing to pop up and I was just wondering aloud about it.
