Alpha Mike Foxtrot - Part I

So... I'm not dead--not literally anyway. I just kinda silently quit this whole thing. Why? Reasons I'm sure you've heard from everyone before and will only irritate you, so I'll spare you that. Suffice to say, I'm just not into it anymore. I like the writing aspect of it, but everything else became weird after I went to one of the cons. Despite what Wacka Flocka Flame said, shit's not gonna be

    Mass chapter posting.

I have a lot of completed chapters sitting around at the moment, four of which are for the new conspiracy story, one is for AHA, and one is for AHA's sequel.

I've decided to post whatever I have the week I reach 40k views on this account. Figure it's something worth celebrating.

Does anybody even read these any more?

Like honestly, I've been dead on this site for pretty much an entire year if not more. Still trying to decide if I should even bother working on my current story... Does anybody even still read fanfiction? My star list has 96 chapters awaiting me. My Read Later is 41 things I will likely never read.

You know what did it? One word.

    Trotcon.

Spelling of a certain alicorn's name

Alright... I'm not sure if I've ranted about this before, but I will always, until my dying day, come hell or high water, spell it Princess Cadence. Why? Because if the writers of the show decide to use a dictionary word for a character's name, they better damn well stick to the dictionary spelling. What is the basis for changing her name to Cadance? They've tipped the

Well... that sucked · 1:45am Nov 26th, 2012

I must confess that last episode did not meet up to my expectations, mostly for just one reason: Bab Seed. The voice acting sounded awful, and yes, I know they were trying to emulate a New Yorker accent, but they failed miserably. The only thing worse than the voice was the damn color scheme. Seriously? Sh*t brown coat with a something-between-magenta-and-pink mane? Come on, guys. First King Sombra with his god-modded OC look and now a filly who looks like she came fresh out of Pony Creator? They better get it right next week because this is the episode I've really been looking forward to.

EDIT: I will admit, the singing WAS awesome, and the CMC performed their roles perfectly, as did b*tch duo.

Agreed. My expectations definatelly fell flat on this one.

Well, I have seen a few negative comments by others about this and feel I should say that while didn't necessarily like Babs' voice either, we (the fandom) should keep in mind that it was probably comments like these by close-minded people (not accusing you of any such thing, just stating), that spurned the whole Derpy hate fiasco. :pinkiesad2: Even though I'd doubt the writers, if got enough of these complaints again, would change the whole recording of the episode with Babs' speaking parts. I mean, I liked Derpy originally, despite what others seemed to be thinking of writers using her as a way to make fun of retards or whatever. Never saw her as any such thing to begin with. And well, maybe her color scheme wasn't as interesting as most other ponies, but I mean, something to be said for simple look for a... farm girl? Even though she didn't really act/talk like one despite being AB's cousin, given the focus of the episode. Even though did have some flaws and wasn't among favorites like previous ones so far, I liked it, but that's just me. And at first, misinterpreted final line as saying you were looking forward to most recent one, not next one with Trixie being full of herself again, when she does what's planned. :twilightsheepish:

...it's been my favourite episode so far.:trollestia:

While I do find the Boston accent to be the most grating sound in existence, I do feel that the episode was a good example of fine story telling.

The episode featured a pony with bacon grease colour fur with a bacon mane, what's not to like?
The only thing that could have made this episode better is if there was a nutella themed pony.

I didn't care much for Babs's design either, but I loved that song. It was pretty catchy.

All your doing now is whining about nothing. You didn't like the episode because the New York accent wasn't perfect and a pony was ugly in your eyes. :facehoof:

1. New York doesn't exist in equestria, so for all I care the manehattan accent can be different then the manhattan accent.

2. Agreed, Sombra looked terrible at first look, but as for Babs, her color scheme was just fine. She was a normal looking pony, so what? Or would you rather have a dark blue OC with f*cking green stripes and a super power.

Now what you didn't whine about is story, you know, the part of the episode that really matters. The story was great, I quite liked this episode, as for the pinkie invasion: no. (It was fine until the mass murder based on whether you can look at paint or not occurred)

Why is everyone whining about the episodes this season? I became a Brony after season 2 ended but everyone seemed to love those episodes when I came in. Believe it or not, but so far this season is just as good as the other two! :pinkiegasp:

539282 I'm whining about how shitty that character was. Everything except her was very good. If somebody remade this episode with a better designed and voiced version of Babs, I'd absolutely love it. As it is, she kinda made the whole thing mediocre for me. And no, I would have expected a pale-yellow coat with a brown mane and tail or something to that effect (so she'd kinda resemble an actual seed). You may call that "normal," but to me it's just plain painful to watch. And god, her voice was like ear-sandpaper. It was way too low and the accent sounded... muddy. I'm no sure how to really describe it, only that everything about her made me want to lose my lunch. I mean, can you honestly say she's even half as aesthetically and vocally adorable as any of the three crusaders?

I became a Brony at the beginning of 2, and I can tell you that not every episode was exactly to my liking during that season either. So far, this season is pretty good, but that won't stop me pointing out that some guest characters should have been given a bit more attention in planning.

540018 I. Can't. Stop. Laughing. :rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh:
