    Thinking of Dystopias...

...and ponies, and potential crossovers. The probability of me actually writing this (or anything for the site) is still rather low, but I somewhat randomly remembered one of the story ideas I'd been thinking about a while ago. Well, that led to me remembering a couple of the ideas I had, and looking back at my old blog posts reminded me of many more, but that's not important right now.

    Headcanon Contributors

So... this blog is for keeping track of what, specifically, the stories on my Headcanon Contributors shelf have contributed to my headcanon. Because sometimes, it is not something obvious. In theory, this is something I'll update as I add things to that shelf. In practice, who knows?

Fake It Till You Make It (S8E4)

This reaction is super late, I know. But I was so disappointed in The Maud Couple when it came out, that it took me a while to want to watch again. However, I loved this episode. Not sure how much of that is because Fluttershy is the character I relate to most, and how much is the episode quality.

    The Fair Folk

(A note before we begin: I tend to use the words fairy and faerie in slightly different ways, depending on which type of entity I mean. If I am talking about a relatively friendly, Disney-ified being, I use fairy. If I want to talk about a more mythical, more dangerous kind of being, I use faerie. It doesn't really matter, general opinion today seems to be that the

    Caught Up?

So I finally watched the Season 7 finale episodes last night. I'd have to rewatch it before attempting to give any opinion on quality, but I do very much appreciate the increased historical lore that this season has given us. For the moment, I am happy.

This post doesn't have much in the way of content, especially since I have been too busy to devote much time to pony stuff. That said, the Pillars of Old Equestria have re-sparked my interest in a certain crossover I would like to write. (The shortest plot summary I can think of being: The creation of Equestria through multiplayer gaming) The original cast was to be all the alicorns minus Twilight, plus a few villains and Starswirl. But.... the Pillars seem like a more interesting cast for this particular story. Now with that said, now I have to redo most of the research I had already done, since the different personalities involved require a different set of in-story/game Titles and thus a different set of available powers.

I also would love to have someone to bounce thoughts off of, and I don't think Boyfriend is the best target for it right now. Mostly because I'm a little embarrassed to try to explain it to him, despite him being the one to have introduced me to each of the things I want to combine in this hypothetical crossover.

Now, I'm going to do the safe thing and assume that nobody's going to be reading this except me and possibly my followers (which it still baffles me that I have, but that's another issue) - so the most likely course of action will end up being solitary research, and keeping a lookout for interesting fanon regarding the Pillars.
