Hello, everyone. If you follow "Worst Patient Ever," then you may have noticed the lack of any updates for the last two weeks. One or two people have asked me about that, and I thought it best to clear the air for all to see. Check below the break for a status update on "Worst Patient Ever" as well as news on a couple new stories in the works, one of which will be coming out very soon.
First and foremost, an update on "Worst Patient Ever." Originally, I planned on posting a chapter every week if possible and not have any delays like this, but life does tend to happen. I do apologize for the lack of recent updates, but the last two-three weeks have been quite hectic for me between covering for people at my many jobs, maintaining my social life, and, as of this last weekend, spending all of my time, money, and energy at the Calgary Comic & Entertainment Expo.
For those of you who haven't had an opportunity to hear him speak, Nathan Fillion is every bit the gem you think he is and every bit as charming and funny as you wish he was.
Also, after reviewing what was supposed to be the next chapter coming up, I noticed a significant something I wasn't pleased with. I want this story to be the best I can make it, so updates have been further delayed so that I may polish up this chapter. I will also be writing a new chapter, slated to be the next one coming out, which I am currently working on. There was something that I thought deserved more attention, so to make sure I'm doing "Worst Patient Ever" justice, I will be taking some time to tinker with things. I cannot guarantee an update this weekend, however, and the best I can do is promise to have the next two chapters out to you all as soon as I can without compromising anything.
Second, new stories!
Just a short while ago, a certain buttheaded changeling had a birthday! As a gift, I wrote him a story (part of why the Worst Patient Ever updates have been slow-coming as my attention's been focused elsewhere). This story is going through some pre-reading and editing now, but it will likely go live sometime next week. I don't want to spoil anything about it, but here's the cover art drawn by the ever-delightful Rossby Waves.
This is all you're getting out of me. Do we have any bets on the ship?
Lastly, the Patron Saint of RariLight has announced a contest for her most beloved of shipping pairs. After some back-and-forth, I will be entering this contest! You can expect a RariLight one-shot from me no later than May 27th.
If you are wise, you will answer her almighty quack.
Those are all the updates for now, folks! To recap, you can expect the next two chapters of "Worst Patient Ever" in the next coming weeks, depending on how much work lets me live, as well as a new story coming soon and a RariLight one-shot by the end of the month.
