I made this account to read and to give the gifts of "Ideas", not to lead. Also I'm Canadian and a Warhammer fan, that is all. Also feel free to ask me anything.

Story Idea List PT 3 (Don't mind this unless you want to) · 1:00am Jan 10th, 2017

Making a log of all my ideas here, so I don't forget. My notebook got wrecked after a "something" so I decided to keep the ideas online here as a way to keep track of my Ideas and I'm using this as a pseudo-notebook.
If you want one of these ideas, feel free to pm me or something. Most of these can be found posted by me in the HIE forums.

Penal Legion in Equestria

Equestria is in great and mortal danger (demonic invasion, ancient evil, foreign powers), and in a Unspecified amount of time they will be loose. One that the parents of the princess has faced and barely won but only by using a ancient and experimental arcane ritual which summoned a legion of bipedal beings. After a tense showoff, the legion agreed to fight for them in their time of need.

Using the summoned army, the (Roman) technology they bring and along with whats left of their forces. They fought a extremely Pyrrhic victory, in which the summoned army was wiped out but not before they finished banishing/sealing the threat away. Whatever was left of their weapons and knowledge incorporated into their society so that their sacrifices will never be forgotten.

However, they enemy returns and in greater numbers and strength.

Now the princess begin to start the ritual to perhaps once again summon these heroic legions that fought to the death for a place that was not theirs.

Meanwhile in an alternate Earth, A Human government has finished a very long and bloody war with their neighbor and are now pondering on how to deal with their only surviving penal legion (Cannon fodder). A Legion that has been battle-hardened and bonded by blood, ranks filled with their malcontents ( a couple convicted criminals, political dissidents, intellectuals, cowards, disgraced officers, those with overdue library books and etc) and also the fact that they promised "freedom" to those who fought and survived the war (Thinking that they weren't even suppose to survive this long).

So they then decided to kill two birds with one stone and give them the "freedom" in a different way. They decided to drop them in the middle of nowhere with all of their outdated weaponry, supplies (expired foods and stuff they wouldn't even give or use), vehicles and whatever they didn't want ; told them to prepare for a final enemy counterattack and once they were relived they would go "Free". Once the legion was settled, they dropped a "experimental" weapon they never had a chance to use on enemy top of them and recorded the results for future research. However just before it exploded on the panicking legion, they disappeared.

Now in Equestria, just as the ritual was finished and expecting to perhaps see a familiar legion to the ones they've seen long ago. They were instead shown the sight of a entire disorganized army of men in mismatched uniform, carrying a variety of unfamiliar weapons and with most of them screaming and panicking.

Skip a bit later, the princesses find out that instead of a legion of Noble beings, they literally got the "worst" soldiers possible of these "Humans". However they must make do with what they have, but the leaders of the "Legion" (Those who survived the longest or haven't been shot in the back yet by their "Friends" for being pricks) senses the weakness and while thankful that they were saved. Their not going to fight for free or cheap.

Skip a bit later after some very tense negotiations, it works out well enough. The intellectuals, political dissidents and etc work on modernizing the ponies infrastructure and tech; the cowards and officers work on improving the ponies armed forces and to fight "Dirty". The Criminals working on getting intelligence, smuggling what they need from other nations and whatever penal legion criminals do. Basically the legion splits up to help build up and modernize the ponies for war. With every member contributing what they know or can do to their area of expertise.

Buddhist Temple in Equestria

A group of Buddhist monks and their disciples end their pilgrimage at a ancient mountain or forest temple, and begin to clean up the place.

Shortly after arriving to their destination, they catch someone/something break into the artifact room and tries to make off with a Buddhist reliquary.

The monks fight back trying to repel the trespasser and reclaim their relics, despite their best efforts during the fight the artifact breaks and it knocks everyone (except the trespasser who is swearing in a ancient dialect and disappears) out and sends them to Equestria.

Skip forward a bit, ponies find the Temple (Thanks to a loud boom when they arrived, and the fact that a giant stone Buddha carved in the mountain or in the middle of the temple is rather hard to hide from the air)

Ponies meet the monks, monks meet the ponies. Ponies find the monks harmless, thanks to thier beliefs and religion at first till they see what they can do.

The monks later find out that some of the things they were able to do with either with great meditation or training, are somehow multiplied or enhanced here. Things for example like normally smashing thru bricks, well now they can smash thru boulders unharmed, the ability to increase their body heat slightly higher then normal by "g Tum-mo", they now burst into flames and are somehow unhurt or unfazed. Lift yourself with one finger, they no longer need to use the finger to lift and they levitate instead.

Their relics now also have strange abilities or powers, associated with their origins.
Meanwhile the "trespasser" is planning to get his hands on the relics for some nefarious reason.

Twilight as normal goes insanse or loco, as she can not sense any magic from these "Monks" or their relics despite the fact that their doing the impossible.

Morons at the gate

So a Human king has a very important event or ceremonies, one that might increase his political power and prestige for his family and realm for untold generations.

It gets ruined accidentally by a group of well-trained Morons with good intentions in his royal guard. Wanting to kill the lot of them for this, but is unable to due the fact that they are now to well-known and popular to kill.

He stumbles upon a recent letter in his studies, while trying to find a solution. Reading it, he finds that it is from a ancient dying order of warrior-monks. Whose job is to protect their isolated fort in the mountains and to ensure that the giant enchanted metal gate, which the fort is built around is forever sealed (The reasons why have been lost to the order, due to the passage of time and damaged records but they still "stress" that it must never be opened and guess it might be a evil presence or something unholy).

The letter states that he is receiving this letter due to a freak accident that finally wiped out what little remains of the order and that this is a will from the last dying member requesting that he sends men to take their place.

The king, not believing in the gate but seeing a solution to his problems; convinces the Morons that due to their "Success" he is sending (banishing) them on a honorable and essential mission to protect a gate which "hammering" it into them must be protected and never "opened", Lest a great evil be unleashed. He then gives them supplies, materials to set them up and proceeds to kick them out of the palace and towards their new "Home".

Skip forward some time, The Morons makes the fort in the middle of nowhere their home away from home. However, one of them stumbles upon a well-hidden and very old vault of the order and finds a weird glowy orb which he proceeds to drop. This sends them and their entire fort to Equestria and soon ponies arrive to investigate. (you would investigate too, if their was a giant mountain appearing out of nowhere)

Due to their new location and that fact that theirs talking ponies now, the morons are dismayed but they remember what their "beloved" king told them and that is too protect the fort and ensure the gate is never opened under any circumstances. The ponies on the other hand are a "curious" lot and soon arrive at the misunderstanding that the morons are a ancient order of dedicated Warrior-monks (Which their not and the morons are unaware the Ponies arrived at this conclusion), due to the fact that they haven't cleaned up the presence of the order (Due to the fact that it looks nice and brings the room together).

God-less Humanity

Every race on the planet has either a god, god-like or immortal being of great power either leading or guiding their relative species; and is thus lead by their loving head-god known as "Harmony".

Their is how ever one exception to this and that exception is Humanity, whose lands are located far off in the middle of nowhere from every other species and is generally really out of the way of everyone.

Humanity is seen or given a bad reputation by the other species, thanks to their leaders/ gods (except the Head god "Harmony") spreading rumors that the Humans are god-less because they were untrustworthy, unworthy or incredibly violent, that the Humans had a god but it refused to be associated with them and left.

Humanity, on the other hand barely cares about this since they were far away from everyone and generally isolated (except for the occasional trader or "Missionary" wanting to save them by conversion).

So one day, "Harmony" sends out a letter to the leader of every species from the proud Griffons to the Harmonious Ponies and up to the Changelings (including the Humans) summoning them for a important meeting.

This eventually ends up with every race mocking and insulting the Human emissaries for even being there, till "Harmony" shows up and just announces that she is "Leaving" (for some reason) and is leaving six "Artifacts" (Cookie for who gets this) behind for protection.

Most of the attendees and other races (except the Humans, who were off in the corner playing cards, since they only came as a courtesy), expect her to give them to the ponies and the princess since they were made in her Image (or some thing like that).

However, everyone soon bursts into outrage (except the Humans who were shocked), when she decides to leave it in the care of Humans despite the protest of everyone else (including the Humans) with the princesses being the loudest.

The reason she gives it to the Humans is not because of pity or spite but rather they were the "best" choice as they were not being lead by a god or following the agenda of one. (the concept of giving power to someone who doesn't want it in the first place or even crave power).

This throws Humanity into the "limelight", as every other race seeks to gain the artifacts or Humanity for their own use, ends or political games. Despite the Humans best efforts to get rid of it, it always seems to backfire on them and dig them in deeper.

Forgotten Humanity

Humanity in our universe is a very old space-faring race and despite all our great advancements and technology. We have never truly conquered death. This becomes even more noticeable to all of Humanity, when they find out that our universe is quickly reaching a point where it's gonna die and leave a void.

However Humanity with nowhere left to go eventually finds a way to extend what little time they have left, while avoiding death at the same time. The Human race converts themselves into a race of AI/ Machine spirits kind of deal, though they will forever leave their mortal bodies but in return achieve a sort of immortality.

Then continuing to live their lives in servers located on their fleets of advanced city ships, where they would control the passage of time. (where a second in real life can be a day in the server, a day into years and years into millennia).

This soon creates a newer generation of "Human" as those born "digitally" or were too young to remember life before, don't know what it is to actually be Human and instead embrace a more logic-based route. The older generations trying to teach them with little to no success ( Like trying to explain to a man born blind what color is) or forgetting it also due to the passage of time.

Skip forward a bit, The universe is finally ending and all of "Humanity" decides to see this moment before their deaths. Leaves their servers and controls/taking/possessing over any and every piece of the ship, from the ship sensors all the way to the robots that protect and maintain it, crowding into every inch and waiting for the moment.

All watching as the universe goes dark and dies.... then a bright light and a pulse appears and then they and the rest of the city ships with them find themselves somewhere different.

This is where my notes goes into two possible ideas.

The First idea is that they meet a space-faring Equestria that's been forced to fight/engage against a very aggressive enemy that has them beat technologically and number wise (one where if the Humans were to get involved will still be a very tough fight for them). They meet the ponies who are in a fight for their lives and losing, battle stops when the "Humans" appear and despite some of them wanting to not get involved due to "Logic". They are forced to join the ponies after they get attacked, move on a bit and they win that fight and the ponies meet the "Humans" and thinks them to be machines (which they are in a sense), but eventually find out that Humanity was once organic but is now a race of AIs/ Machine-spirits and a little bit lacking in the emotions department since they didn't need it for "Millennia". Eventually through many trials and events, along with the help of the Equestirans. The "Humans" learn what does it truly mean to be "Human" once again (emotions, self-sacrifice and all that Jazz).

The second Idea is for bunch of short stories, where Humanity on their ships ends up near a modern Equestria and confused/excited at what may be perhaps the first contact with a sentient race in their entire history gets very curious. They send of their people who then enters/hides in the modern devices or electric infrastructure (Internet or some equivalent) of the ponies. The Human who follows these ponies are not supposed to expose themselves, but thru a series of events or a need to interfere for their or the ponies safety exposes them. They eventually learn what they forgot from the ponies they meet, and the experiences they both go thru together. (Same as the idea on top)

Honorable and Criminal Humanity
Humanity a few centuries ago once ruled vast kingdom in a very distant island. A Kingdom that prized Honour, wisdom, peace and nobility and was ruled by Immortal King. Prospering and flourishing till "something" came, seemingly unstoppable and destroying any and all that lay in it's way.

The greatest generals and leaders of the kingdom sallied forth and issued a rallying cry to fight this threat to their home, followed by the mightiest and most skilled warriors, countless volunteers from all walks of life willing to give life and soul, mighty human heroes and villains joined together and the mystical mages of the Imperial colleges. Everyone armed with the best weaponry, the most arcane of magics, new radical and experimental technology (Gunpowder, or something like that).

As they left the to battle this foe, they were soon never heard from again. The only sign that they failed was when "They" came a week later at the Capital and tore it down. The King then rallied the remnants of his people and lead them to battle. However "they" were countless and weeks later whats left of the guard and volunteers fought on to stall the Horde. The remaining refugees fleeing towards the ports. As death was fast approaching, The King decided to send them off in the boats, while he stayed behind and sacrificed himself in a explosion by destroying a ancient artifact. This explosion would soon devastate and shatter their homeland.

The refugees from a far distance on their boats, could only watch their kings sacrifice and their homeland sinking beneath the waves. Soon leaving for newer lands to call home.

Few centuries later, Equestria is facing this "threat". Their distant and powerful neighbors are going silent, but refugees from their lands arriving on Equestrian soil bear the grim news that they are fighting and failing, slowly being pushed back. The princesses begin to prepare for this inevitable invasion and to provide assistance to their neighbor but they know that they will not win and are instead only buying time.

They soon realize that they should try to seek the one race that has fought "them" and survived (Although barely), while to get the location of their ancient homeland for any clues to defeat this foe. They must seek the alliance and aid of the Humans.

However they have fallen very far from their original routes, instead of the Honorable warriors, scholars and artisans they once were. The refugees became thieves, smugglers and mercenaries. Prizing gold over honor, deceit over truth.

Honorable and Criminal Humanity: Story notes (Rough)

Info on "New" Humans: After their status as refugees, they have tried to seek homes on the lands of the other "NonHuman" kingdoms but have been generally refused and without aid due to the fears of "Them". Soon they decided to settle on series of undiscovered small Islands.

They soon find that their home is in a key locations for the international trade and in desperate times, the once Honorable Humans have resorted to becoming smugglers, mercs and thieves for coin to support their people. Eventually forgetting their heritage due to necessity.

Info on "Them"; Countless and without mercy, they destroy and devour the land leaving only death and remains behind. almost nothing is known about them.

The princesses arrange a meeting with the Human leadershoping to plead their case and perhaps gain a alliance and assistance on their quest to find the Human homeland. The few others are (Candance, Shining and a couple others) are dismayed or disturbed by this since they now the "modern" reputation of the Humans, but are unaware of their more honorable past (being pushed back far in the modern literature, with only a few scholar types aware of this). However, the ones besides them (Luna, Twilight and etc) are eager hoping to meet them once again, or have read up on the legends and feats of the Humans.

Skip forward a bit and they come to the new Human port capital, (Think Tortuga with more of a slightly clean feel, but still a hive of debauchery and general crime "NO SLAVES") Twilight and a few others (Luna) is generally disturbed by the violence and the complete opposite of what the books say about them.

Skip forward and after a very tense negotiations (with Luna shocked at how the "lord" (Think lord vetinari) is eager to jump at them desire for help, like a shark sensing blood), the "lord" agrees to full support to them in return for coin and supplies, since their forces will be focusing on fighting this threat to provide for their "economy". He accepts the offer of finding and exploring the homelands of the Humans (wanting to recover any treasures and valuable knowledge left behind) promising to send the best of their best. He doesn't, he sends them the best of the worst in Human society. He sends a thief with skewed view of honor, a somewhat 'noble" mercenary band, a old smuggler with morals and more interested in reading (all of which he blackmailed or tricked into going to get rid of them) (These are the main characters besides the "others" and they are friends).

Skip forward a bit, The main six and others (other ponies or characters) meet up on the smugglers ship, they get to know them and their not so bad.

Go forward a bit after a few harrowing events and a battle with rouge human pirates (this does not paint a good impression with the ponies, as the Humans execute them without mercy and very much looted the ship down to its plank). They arrive at whats left of the Human homeland and docks at a long-dead port village.

The ponies looking around they see that the land is dead, nothing grows or even lives and the air is stale then they look at the Humans and are dismayed that all of them (except the smuggler with his morals) are "searching" the dead bodies and buildings.

Ponies are very disturbed by this but the Humans say that "The dead don't need this", confrontations ensue and get heated up between both of them due to different beliefs.

The Merc leader finds a ripped apart skeleton in tattered armor, in what looks like a fierce battle in a room and picks up a ancient map alongside a sword that seems to be in almost new condition. The thief stumbles upon a royal chest with a strange ring, he wears it cause it looks fancy, the smuggler finds a strange ornate metal staff and some tattered books in the crate he's sitting on and seeing that theirs no-one dead on it takes it and uses the staff as walking stick.

After a debate and inspecting the map, they find that their best bet would be to head to the capital.

Meanwhile, Human forces have joined up with the Equestiran forces and are doing their utmost with their "Tentative" allies to fight back against "Them". With their Thieves laying traps and scouting, the Mercs fighting with fire and flames, the Human alchemists mixing powerful explosives and concoctions, the smugglers delivering needed supplies and reinforcements. They win a few battles but nonetheless it's becoming a bloody stalemate, where we push and they push.

However even tough, they are fighting together. They still don't trust the Humans and likewise but it is still improving with a few bumps here and their.

Back to our main point. On their Journey to the capital, the ponies see what was once a beautiful place, but now see death, ruin and the remains of last stands by desperate families and soldiers everywhere. Thinking that if they don't stop this, this would be what would a happen to their homes.

Someway on their journey they come across remnants of "Them".

They fight but the ponies are hesitant to kill, this results in one of the mercs soldiers getting killed. The Human leader breaks his old sword, and desperate to save his men pulls out his new "one", it starts glowing and he cuts thru whats left of "Them" ending the battle.

One of the ponies is shocked that someone got killed for them, the leader and the other Humans take the time to bury the dead (when almost everyone else would just loot and leave the body) The sword is glowing unbeknownst to anyone.

This part of the note is soaked, but anyways the thief and smuggler go thru more events on their journey to the capital and the leader loses a few more of his men. These events would slowly evolve the thief and smuggler into more like their ancestors in the past. as the items they recover begin to "open" in a sense. The ring allowing a field of protection, while the book and staff helps the Smuggler use magic, once lost to Humans allowing him to become the first mage in centuries.

Jump to the capital, the ponies, researchers and Humans are going thru the ruins and it paints a grim picture. The capital was protected by defenses and magic more powerful then anything that currently exits but it still fell in a matter of days. A few days later, a large number of "Them" shows up and outnumbered they all fall back to the main palace and activates whats left of the defenses, sealing "Them" out but keeping everyone in without supplies.

They explore the Palace and our main Human character stumbles upon a a hidden chamber, just as they were about to tell everyone and explore it. "Them" brakes through the defenses and everyone flees to the chamber and it closes behind them. Looking in they find a corpse sitting in the middle of the large chamber, dressed in royal armor and with a dignified atmosphere.

They found the remains of the "King" and a recording left by him. The king left behind a recording of himself on a ancient piece of magical-tech secrets long lost and activating it is his last confession and he tells of 'Them".

"Them" was actually not a natural force but pieces of his "Brother" who was supposed to have been slain together in combat with the "darkness" and lost ages ago, way before the Humans even organized themselves into tribes. When he died he took the "foe" with him, but was unaware that the foe survived and for centuries they fused and growing into a sort of organism that wants to devour all life to feed itself (Think of a giant body buried in the earth, dormant but it's producing large amounts of "Them" like antibodies but loose on life) .

The king finding out about this, sent all of his forces towards the where it lay, hoping to destroy the Heart of it and ends it once and for all.

However, "Them" aware that it will never win against the forces sent, enticed a "general" to betrayal with promises of riches and power.

Leading the forces into a trap, "them" sealed them all into a dormant lifelike state (Maybe glass, crystal or stone), using their energy to feed it self to produce more of "Them". The traitor general was then betrayed and slain.

Jump a bit forward, before the king lead his people to flee on the boats. He splits his into 4 parts with his power, A staff, a ring and a sword and his crown (which has the majority). He hides the first two and gifts the sword to his remaining champion to buy time for the refugees. He destroys the crown the last moments and purges "them" from the island but devastating and killing any who remained on the island in the process. With his last bit of strength he teleported to the Chamber and began to make his final confession and details on how to kill this being.

Everyone is shocked by this revelation and the Humans realize they are currently in possession the three parts of the kings power. They find a secret exit and proceed to flee back to the coast, "Them" at the heels.

Jump forward a bit and they make it to a port near Equestira, they leave everyone else behind and Twilight teleports anyone important and the three human characters to the palace to report on the situation.

It soon turns grim as even though the Human forces have helped, they still are being beaten back and have been bloodied well.

It gets even darker when refugees from the new Human capital arrives in Equestria and it's revealed that "Them" had it's influences on the Human lord from the very beginning. Telling him to send the Human forces to fight them on the mainland, While gathering info on "allied" forces and weakening/exposing the humans to attack, wiping the capital and everyone out in a surprise attack.

It is soon revealed that the only Humans left are the forces fighting on the mainland and the refugees who managed to escape the slaughter. Now that the rear is exposed, they now that them losing the war is now in great possibility. So they must plan a pre-emptive strike to destroy the Heart of "Them", soon they realize that they have little forces available for the offensive and what they have are already weakened.

Till one of the main Human characters realize one of the facts the "king" said that they do have a army, a well trained and powerful army and that it's been sealed by "Them" and located quite near where their needed.

Everyone thinks its suicide but the Humans makes a speech or something and they decide they might as well give it a shot.

Skip forward a bit, they decide to send a small party to slip through and they break the seal using the three "artifacts". Now with the strength of the golden age army (after convincing them to help end this evil and to protect whats left of Humanity) and with a bit of tension (They find out that their descendants have literally abandoned their path, but can't entirely blame them for this due to their situation).

This leads them to attacking "Them" at their main base beating and defeating them at first but they can't hold on forever. Human main characters and the Ponies, head to the "Heart" and turns out that it's slowly awaking after centuries of slumber.

Key fight between awaken "Evil" and everyone, their losing in a extremely brutal fight but they combine their artifacts together along with the Elements at the last moment and it summons the spirit of the "King" and alongside the Elements of Harmony defeats/purify the Evil and all of the "Thems" from existence. This at the end results in everyone and the "king" seeing the spirit of his brother and together they move on but not before wishing his people luck in their future endeavors.

Skip forward a bit, The war is over but the Humans have been devastated to near extinction level.

However, the three Human characters are seen to be chosen by their deceased "king" to lead by the Humans. They bring whats left of their people back to their ancient homeland to perhaps rebuild what was once theirs and to guide whats left of their people to their original path. This begins a more peaceful age and a new slate for the Humans, ponies and whatever races that fought in the war.
