Little Deceptions - audio reading and translation · 2:54pm Sep 3rd, 2016
So, full disclosure here - I'm an idiot.
This was given to me months ago (well, more than one month ago) and I had really thought I'd actually written a post about it. I remember writing a post about it. But either I never finished it, or just forgot to hit that 'post blog entry' button, or something messed up or whatever, but a piece of wonderful work has gone entirely unrecognised for far too long.
So, with great thanks and apologies in turn to ABagOVicodin, I would like to present his fantastic reading of Little Deceptions:
For anyone who'd like to get through this but prefers their horsewords applied via the ear than the eye. Or just wants to experience it anew! It's certainly an experience to listen to your own work read by another - I heartily recommend it :)
There's also nothing like hearing something spoken out loud to make you realise just how often you repeat words or find things you'd say "Man I should've phrased that differently..."
So I'd like to thank ABagOVicodin (Which I just realised as I was writing this that I'd been writing as ABagOfVicodin and had to frantically go back and change throughout the post) once again for the opportunity, and hope some other folks can enjoy it!
Similarly but far more delayed in gratification, I'd like to thank Keranis who almost exactly a bloody year ago took it upon himself to translate Little Deceptions into Czech. So if anyone would like to read it, it is on display as Drobné klamy, which I will not even pretend to know how to pronounce.
I'm not entirely certain exactly how much traffic I'm likely to give a Czech translation from an english blog that's only really provided to folks who've already marked the story, but Keranis deserves some recognition, and here it is.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to run off before my editor (or anyone else) spots me and starts asking where the next story update is. Ciao!
