So this Bronycon thing... · 8:31pm Jul 1st, 2016
I'll admit, when one of my friends first jokingly asked if I was coming to Bronycon, my first reaction was to sarcastically decline.
Being as I am Australian, it is just the teensiest bit (read: Approximately 1/3 the circumference of the earth) bit out of the way.
However, after thinking about it a bit, and realising that I had been vaguely planning to visit the 'mericas for a while and meet a bunch of the strange folk who I've been talking with for the past decade or so, I realised that the stars did sort of align for it. I had the money, I had the vacation days saved up, and it would mean I'd be able to hang out with like six folks at once instead of having to seperately visit six states.
So as I write this, I am stateside, visiting some of my friends and enjoying the wonders thereof (It's amazing how many little things there are that just freak you the hell out in an otherwise perfectly home-like environment) and will be attending Bronycon! I'll admit I'm often not huge on cons and such, but I'll manage.
I'll probably gravitate towards whatever fanfiction-related section I can find, and will be happy to chat with anyone. :) And if enough people jab me about the fact that I haven't written anything in the year since I posted the list of "Things I might actually be able to write now!", who knows, I might be able to actually get my act in gear and start writing again.
Hoping to meet a bunch of fellow readers and authors alike out there! Just look for the big heavyset redhead in a blue shirt that probably doesn't look like Brony paraphenalia at first glance. =D (And that should narrow things down to a mere 10% of the attendees...)
I suppose theres a chance we might meet up SOMEwhere along the way, not sure where, though,,,
*taps chin*
Aw well, its pretty exciting, nonetheless, eh? Hope you're having fun stateside~
I'm going to be there! I look forward to meeting you.
You my friend, want Quills and Sofas. Where allll the cool kids hang out. n_n
Guys, help me convince Taranth to stop being straight; this visit is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to do gay stuff with him and somehow he's resisting my unmatchable charm
That weekend was nothing short of magical.
