    10 Years

    10 Long Years...
    A whole decade

What a long time to write and center around something (and too long to get back around to it)

    1 Plague

    10 years
    2 degrees
Many, many vacations and road trips
    Groomsman in 4 weddings

    33 years old

And now engaged and getting married myself

I've grown up into a near-middle aged man with ya'll

And it's time to stop keeping ya'll waiting

I'm Terrible At Keeping Promises...Also, An Ugly Truth About Me

Ugh...I really suck at this whole keeping promises thing. But I'm going to try to shed some light on why and how things went so awry the past few years. What's changed since I stopped cranking out over 50k words a month from 2012-14ish:

For one, I graduated in May 2013, diving head-first into the realm business-first small, and now corporate level.

So...Yeah. · 2:58am Sep 8th, 2015

I've fallen behind badly on everything on this site due to personal and work issues (the latter of which most of you know and the former of which I don't care to go into. Suffice to say it's a relationship depression blindside thing and let's leave it at that) :twilightsheepish:

So, what HAVE I been up to since the last blog post back in...WTF, JUNE :ajbemused:

Let's see...

Summer at work was nuts (we hit new profit margins and stuff, so yay for that I suppose...still no serious writing, so boo) :raritycry:

Lost the video card in my laptop (well not literally LOST; it was still in there the entire time, it just took a crap...you know what I mean) :derpyderp2: Got it fixed though, so huzzah! (When are we gonna get that Luna emoticon, anyways?!)

Finally, as Totallynotabrony here can personally attest to as he saw it with his own eyes today, I broke my left index finger in a spring compressor a few weeks back, and have been wearing a splint/brace since then. As it was a crushing fracture, and I didn't opt for surgery, it's taken longer to heal than it normally would, leading to a severe lack of anything type-wise on this site since then (aside from the occasional short comment which I can make one-handed on my phone).
Fortunately, I'm powering through this blog with the help of Advil and ice, so I should be back in this thing soon! :pinkiehappy:

What else...oh yeah, derp. Met freaking TNAB today at Animefest in Dallas, along with his wife!
Pretty chill guy; we chatted about ponies, military stuff in stories, scenarios, the Legend of Bandit 8 (ask him about THAT crazy story :rainbowwild:), and random blethering consisting of silly story titles with loads of alliteration (something about the letter P-I forget, you ever forget? Yeah, me too :facehoof:), why the primates at the Dallas Zoo all looked like they were posing for some sort of calendar shoot (could have been the heat...also, could have just been my weird ass thinking that), and how the hell this isn't a run-on sentence yet. :ajbemused:

So, yeah, twas a good weekend (hope ya'll had a great Labor Day as well).

I'd like to extend a special thank you to everyone that's continued to support my writing despite the ever-widening gulf between now and the last story update (the wait will be worth it, I promise!!! :twilightsheepish:), as well as a super special thank-you to all those that have created fan-art for my stories, Blue Angel in particular.

And so with that all said, I'd like to make a request of you, dear readers:
I know that most of you that have made fan art for Blue Angel have sent it to, or showed it to me in the past, but alas, along with the video card fix, Best Buy somehow managed to bugger up a few things with some of my laptop's files, including the folder that all that fan-art was stored in :raritydespair:

Here's my proposal and request:
Please send me all fan art for Blue Angel you can find here on this blog post or in a PM (either your own or on behalf of someone else, with their source information included) and I will not only create a separate blog post folder thingy here to store all that art, but I pledge to use my exposure here on Fimfiction as a billboard of sorts for those artists, with links to their stuff and everything! :pinkiehappy:
I mean, think about it: how many people follow me and could see your stuff now?

Now before you go saying I've sold out or something, I swear this now: this isn't tied to any Patreon request (even though I've mentioned that in the past-I don't need the money with my new job anyways), I WILL NOT charge a cent or request anything besides a thank you for using my profile like this, AND I never will. And you can take that to the bank!

Ok, so not quite what I meant, but you know it's not a V-Pony blog without some sorta cheesy 80's clip :rainbowwild:

With THAT all said, here's to continued success, further writing, and even more awesome stuff, starting with these art pieces:

YOU WILL NOT HURT HER
By the awesome Quillin Words

You Coming Up, Flyboy?
Also by the awesome Quillin Words
Go check out his Deviant Art account here as well --------------> Umithemusicalpony

The next piece is by an author/artist here that needs no introduction (I kinda did that earlier), but suffice to say that he's a cool dude that's been one of my longest-standing supporters and readers here on Fimfiction:

Even so, here's his page here on Fimfiction again -----------------> Totallynotabrony
And go check out his DA page here ------------> Totallynotabronyfim

One last note: Since I've been so out of it, I've opened up my Feed all the way to 6 weeks ago, and... HOLY FAUST! :pinkiegasp:The Notifications!!! They're...they're!! :applejackconfused:

Nah, not THAT bad...it's over 5000 though (still pretty bad) :twilightsheepish:

So, basically, I'm going to mow through this thing over the next few days and if you see a comment from me that's weeks out of context...I beg of thee to cut me some slack! :twilightblush::heart:

PS: I'm still aiming to finish that Wingblade paper thing first, THEN update CMC Delta Airlines...THEN BA :rainbowdetermined2:

You're not dead. That's what counts. Longing makes the heart grow fonder, and all that.

Dude, you HAVE my friggin phone number... CALL me if you need to...
Or I'll friggin call you. That'll work too.

Well, look who's still kickin'.

Love that Flyboy art, the expression on Dash is just so much fun.

Yay! No dead :derpytongue2:

hmm, maybe you should watch this video. because im totally not being a dick.

Ouch about that finger of yours and hope that gets healed up ASAP.
And it really has been a while hasn't it? And while I'll normally quip that you should take your time, I do urge you to hurry it up a bit! It's been so long since I've read about the (mis)adventures of Volare and co. :raritydespair:

The wait is so agonizing you know! :fluttercry:

Well the important thing is that you're still around and you do what you can so do that thing you can do and get things done on those stuff and wat not.

*uses best Steve Irwin voice*

What we have here is the rare V-pony. Not much is known about him except that he does lots of work and likes ponies.
I'm gonna poke him with a stick.

Croikey! He's angry! He's angry!

I broke my left index finger in a spring compressor a few weeks back

Well, that explains why you were more distracted than you expected to be. :derpytongue2: Oh well, feel free to poke me on Skype whenever, things are a bit busier over here than usual but I should be able to make time to chat.

I was just looking at Blue Angel yesterday, silently suffering due to the lack of updates, and then you go ahead and do this :pinkiehappy:

Also, hand injuries are the worst, it hurts like the dickens and you lose a lot of functionality. I'm sorry that happened to you :fluttercry:

3377196
I am really hoping that v-pony is smart enough to not use one of those POS style compressors, and if so he is super lucky to only receive a broken finger.
ok any way glade to here from you v-pony and super happy to here you are planning on resume righting when you can.
Harts Fire
PS do not forget about TeamSpeak it is starting to receive traffic and it a vary easy way for authors , editors and fan to chat.

There we be, and with art as well. This bodes well for all.

The wait is SO going to be worth it in the end too.

3377196 3377574 Nah, we've got one of these puppies:
shop.advanceautoparts.com/wcsstore/CVCatalogAssetStore/N3492/large/28031756_spx_otc6585_pri_larg.jpg
The coil spring just bound up on one of the claws and when I pulled on it, it let go and bounced backwards up into the machine, mashing my finger between the top of the strut and the back of the machine :twilightoops:

3377117 Heh, I'm not in THAT bad a shape, man. But thanks all the same

3377343 :rainbowlaugh:

3377686 that is a good one but I guess I am spoiled I have used the hydrologic one in the past with the full cage around it.
but the garage I worked for worked on heavy trucks and trailers.

If by "bugger up" they deleted the folders a photo recovery software would be able to save most of them (I use Recuva, good freeware). But if they went full on massacre and replaced the hard drive and missed some data well, :raritycry:

3378813 I think that's what they did, because other things have been moved around too :trixieshiftright:
Oh well, I'll track the pics down one way or another :twilightsheepish:

3378944 stuff like that reminds me why I went back to using a desktop. If a part dies, I'LL be the one fixing it, since I don't have to deal with things being soldered or glued down like in a laptop. Just velcro and zip ties :rainbowdetermined2:

Also if I break anything too badly (like oh, say, a hard drive), I know exactly who to blame :derpytongue2
