Answers for the Changelings. · 11:02pm Apr 9th, 2015
Okay, so I've been reading comments and I thought I'd post this, rather than everyone individually.
One. The changelings will be Bug/Dark Types. The cover art that I made makes that perfectly clear. Though Chrysalis maaaay take a slightly different Type~
Two. Chrysalis's telepathic abilities. She doesn't possess a 'hivemind' since something like that has never been made canon. It's a fan-only concept and I've chosen not to use it. And besides, there are several cases of non-Psychic Type Pokemon using telepathy (A skill, not the passive Ability) Xerneas. Darkrai. Zoura. Lapras. Lucario. Shaymin. Arceus.... And that's just a few of the canon instances.
Three. As for actual moves and what they'll learn. I'm in the process of creating a stat sheet for them while trying to keep them not so overpowered. This will also include their passive Abilities as well.
Four. There are no plans yet to introduce many canon Pokemon characters. Eg. Ash Ketchum or Red. I have a villain in mind, and a Professor or two will make an appearance for oblivious reasons, but that's all I can say for now.
I hope this clears a few things up. I know that there are still many questions, but I can't answer them without spoilers. (And please don't ask, because I won't tell~)

Alright then, will they change into humans?
Not antromophing mind you, as in like that one Ditto episode. Back in Gen 1 I think. Too long, can't remember properly.
I feel like Psychic would have made much more sense than Dark given that they seem to do something with the mind in their feeding and the fact that Chrysalis very clearly fucked up Shining Armor's mind big time and brainwashed several ponies into helping her so that kind of stuff is part of their key defining features.
Is there any chance for some romance with chissy? How she'll react when she meets the Legendarys
for abilities I was maybe thinking Imposter, Illusion, or Infiltrator and maybe having Prankster or Swarm be hidden abilities.
2966120 - Well, it would depend on which method if transformation I go with. But transforming into humans has potential for shenanigans. So....
2966141 - You do raise some valid points, and there will be subtle differences between male and female changelings.
2966149 - Well there's no romance tag, and I have no plans for it...

Hm... Regarding moves..
Bug Buzz and Dark Pulse make sense as a whole, as the description for Dark Pulse is basically weaponized Negative emotions.
Screech/Growl, Eh.
Bite, Crunch, Ice/Thunder Fang are not bad options, while Fire seems a bad idea (Cause their bugs), and Megahorn should be obvious.
For Chrysalis... I would Keep Bug, but do a different subtype, such as Poison (Poisoning SA's Mind), Fairy (I'm a Pretty Buggy Princess), or possibly Psychic, due to her increased intellect compared to typical drones.

Whether it's ash or red that you write about, the other side's going to rage. Honestly, some people really hate Ash. And not many know about Pokemon Adventures (manga), it's a bit more realistic and darker than the anime.
Personally, the setting of Pokemon have much potential for hero and villains to rise, make your own if you ever need them.
