Theirs but to do & die, Into the valley of Death Rode the six hundred.
At the moment, I'm writing the introductory paragraphs of the last two chapter of the Phase Two of Friends With Benefits. These two chapters will, I'm hoping, be published in tandem. My target range for these chapters is 20k words apiece. The reason for such a long set of chapters is A.) there is going to be a lot of action going on during these two chapters and B.) a massive info dump concerning the Terran Empire will be presented during these chapters, as well.
We'll delve deep into the mysteries of that antediluvian nation and why it fell, and we'll also delve into the new office Steven has been pushed into as one of the Pillars of the Empire. I'm hoping that if conditions remain stable, i should have these two seminal chapters up before the end of the month. And, to facilitate a clean, virtually flawless publication of these chapters, I'm currently opening up the floor for proofreaders, pre readers, and editors. (Nataniel, Hyrs, and MegaEmailman, I'm looking at you!) Anyone interested, send me a note, and I'll send you the link to the G-Doc containing the chapters as soon as I'm ready to present them. Pre-readers will only be able to comment, but proofreaders and editors can comment and edit as they see fit, but PLEASE, leave a comment about what you corrected, as well as your Fimfiction handle in the comment. I'd like to give credit where credit is due, you see.
After this, I'll be taking a small hiatus from FWB to work on my Vogonverse works, namely As Ye Sew, So Shall Ye Rip and Summer Grasses Are a Soldier's Dreams. I'm hoping that I'll be able to update those significantly, especially now that I have a more unified workspace to take notes and make outlines with. Let's all keep our fingers crossed.
Oh, and anybrony out there has an old laptop they aren't using and like to get rid, I'll gladly take it off your hands. I have in my possession some, shall we say, alternate Operating Systems, that would work well with a mobile device and make my workflow that much faster. ATM, I'm working with antiquated machines on community resources, so this limits the amount of time I can spend working on my stories. If worse comes to worse, i can always start up a Kickstater campaign for a new laptop or something, but I'd prefer to repurpose an older machine with what tools I have on hand.
That's all for now. Until next chapter, I am The Wolf Who Writes Prose!
Lupi sumus, faciemus manseris!
