An introspective, and other reminders

Today, I spent several hours shopping around for—and successfully haggled $7 off the price of—a cosplay of a campy, purple sea serpent. A cosplay, mind you, which I'm excited to wear next week while mingling with 4,000 strangers. And I plan to spend the rest of the evening reviewing and commenting upon fan-fiction about magical technicolor equines.

I've just realized that I've become my mother.

Anyway! Last time I'll harass you about this, but the Cutting Ties /fic/ Write-Off is still underway. A lot of these fics are extremely impressive, especially considering they were written in just 72 hours. The voting is still open until Mon, 2 July, 00:00 UTC. You do need to read at least half (15) of the fics for your votes to count, but really, they're impressive enough that this shouldn't be a problem. Click here to read the stories, as well as for instructions on how to vote. Still can't say which one is mine, but I'm eager to clean it up and send it EqD's way.

And yes, you heard me right in the first paragraph. I will be in attendance at BronyCon next weekend, cosplaying as Steven Magnet no less. I'm really looking forward to meeting a ton of bronies, and putting names with faces. If you see me, be sure to tell me "hello", and "when's the next chapter going to be ready", and "go back to your room and get back to work".
