The Icebucket Challenge / AHoC Update

What's this? No youtube link to a video of me being drenched? Well, sorry that I don't have the recording equipment. So I thought for a while on how I could still do the challenge, and the answer is pretty simple, and I think worthwhile, perhaps even more so than getting drenched in water. (Not that I think it's a bad thing to do the challenge mind you, not at all.)

I wrote a story: Sweetie Belle's Squabble With Icy Buckets

It uses my Scion of Chaos Sweetie Belle and has her take the ice-bucket challenge. I used this as an excuse to write a bit of descriptive prose and play around with magic. Read it if you want a small slice of life set after An Emerald Treasure, but before A Heart of Change.

Also, thanks to Biker Dash for challenging me, and to Sir Barton as well. I now challenge anyone who reads my silly contribution to the challenge to write a story of their own, perhaps of one of your characters taking the icebucket challenge, and share it with me if you do. I'd love to read it.

Also, for those waiting for the next AHoC chapter, I was going to finish it up today, but I got distracted with this little project, but be sure that it is on its way. Tomorrow I shall finish it off and go over it until I'm ready for my editors to see it. Thanks for your patience and enthusiasm, I know it's been a long time, even I'm thinking 'When's it going to come out, already? Geez, this author should hurry up and learn to write faster!' Seriously, I enjoy the story as much as you, so you know I'll never stop working on it until it is done.

"Scoot, have you got the the bucket ready?"

"Yeah, but are you sure this isn't cheating?"

"Oh, hush. Let's do it."

Scootaloo shrugged, removed the amulet from around her neck, submerged it in the bucket for a moment, then pulled it out.

"Are you sure you aren't going to do this too?"

Scootaloo raised an eyebrow as she dried off the amulet with a towel. "Take a bath?"

Thanks! My first thought on reading your post before I noticed the time frame was that Sweetie Belle doing the challenge right now would be pretty difficult, and I didn't feel like letting it go...
