One Neat Thing That I Did Get to Do Last Summer

During August of 2016, my friends and I visited South Korea. When I went there, there were three things in particular that I wanted to do: I wanted to get some good hiking in, I wanted to see some live Starcraft games, and I wanted to do some karaoke. It turns out I got to do all those things and more. If you want to see that Starcraft bit,

    I'm Back, After an Age

    Hey folks,

It sure has been quite a while since I was last on here. I just want to say that I am back to jump back into A Heart of Change and to bring it to its conclusion, and that's the gist of what this blog is about. If you want to hear a rambling story explaining my absence, by all means keep reading.

I Happened to Stumble Upon a Beautiful Treasure

So I just happened to click on the stats button for AHoC because I hadn't done that in quite a while, and suddenly I noticed that I had gotten a few hits from EqD since I had last looked, which I thought was quite strange. So I clicked on the link and ended up on this page which showed the results of an event that

Chapter 24 is Done and Going Through the Final Stages of Editing.

And I aim to publish it sometime tomorrow. Thank you for your considerable patience and continued readership. I'll definitely get the next chapter out in a more timely fashion. I am tentatively aiming to wrap this story up by sometime around August or so.

Now I'm going to go straight into planning and writing the next chapter.

    Cheers,

One Neat Thing That I Did Get to Do Last Summer · 3:33pm Jan 21st, 2017

During August of 2016, my friends and I visited South Korea. When I went there, there were three things in particular that I wanted to do: I wanted to get some good hiking in, I wanted to see some live Starcraft games, and I wanted to do some karaoke. It turns out I got to do all those things and more. If you want to see that Starcraft bit, Here's a video of it, just go 10:55 into the video and you will get to hear the commentators talk about the sign I drew up.

South Korea is a wonderful place with plenty of places to go hiking, and there was surprisingly a bit more of a language barrier than somewhere such as Tokyo, but it was still easy enough to get to the places that we wanted to go. They have a great subway system. Though if you do plan to go to Korea, I'll have you know that the three of my vegetarian friends had a really tough time trying to find good places to eat. They seem to have a great dairy industry though, and if you eat meat, you will probably love the food.

With numerous 'Chicken and Beer' stores, a surprising Japan-like population density, some ornate and intricately painted temples and palaces, countless unique cute mascot characters to represent every sort of storefront, and a very vibrant cultural renaissance of sorts where they have remade old historical building that had been burned down in the war; there is more to see and do in Korea than I could fit into a simple two week trip. I'm glad I got to go.

I would recommend it as a travel destination if you like to do a lot of hiking, some of the best hikes I have been on. Though prepare to be hangry or hupset (as my friends had described themselves) if you are vegetarian.

Traveling is a small passion of mine, so I am glad I could share this,

Well, that's great! Guess it's about time you guys did something like this, seeing as you love Starcraft. Say, do you know when Life gets out of jail? I don't know whether or not he'll make the deadline for GSL S3 this year...

As for your friends, didn't you warn them about the diet of Korea? The english casters have alluded to the state of the menu out there many a time. I'd think that a little foreknowledge would be more than sufficient to get you rolling.

4391143 Two of the three vegetarians had been there before, as such, they were prepared, but it was still tough on them. No idea about Life, but I've been cheering on Dark for the last couple of years, he's my favourite player at the moment, and he almost won WCS last year to boot. So close!

That's interesting to hear, and yeah, Dark was definitely a prominent player last year. Would've loved to see him and sOs in the Grand Final, but it never happened. Funny that the big blizzcon champ has actually started to struggle this early after the big win, though.

You got any changes to how much time you have to write and stuff since a year and a half ago? I don't think you even worked on Saturdays that long ago...

That shout out in the Starcraft video is really cool! I'd love to be able to go to South Korea one day.

(Also, welcome back, man )

How much were the tickets?
