I'm trying to write pre-Luna Eclipsed Luna.
why did they have to give her a pseudo-Elizabethan dialect
it's torturous trying to write it
"We have heard that thou are in the midst of a trade dispute?”
IS THAT CORRECT? IT DOESN'T LOOK CORRECT. WHAT IS MY LIFE BECOME THAT I'M TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW A CARTOON HORSE PRINCESS USED TO SPEAK BEFORE SHE SPOKE IN THE SHOW
*goes back to listening to Five Iron Frenzy in his cave*
thou are? thou art? i dunno? In my most recent story, I just had her slip into the royal we to impress for official stuff. Made it easier for informal dialogue to ignore it.
it's actually not bad here. I have a small knack for Elizabethan, and one of my fellow ponyfic writers is rather masterful at it himself. Would you like us to lend a hoof?
If you need assistance, I will be happy to give it. I've done a lot of research into EME since Luna Eclipsed came out.
"We hath heard that thou art in the midst of a trade dispute."
Just a few changes and you'll be golden.
(At least I fucking think so. )

Thanks for the offers. I may take them--but only once I'm done. This fic is maybe 25% through, and I haven't even planned out the entire thing yet.
