Every Time

Whenever I see a fic that establishes a crossover between MLP and a franchise that I absolutely love, and would probably harm myself and others to promote (i.e., Gurren Lagann, Doctor Who, Fallout, Warhammer 40k, Josie and the Pussycats...don't judge me, you Philistines), I get really excited. And then really depressed, and then just a sort of confused muddle of feels.

Because I know, deep down, that I'll read it. And when I do, nine times out of ten, I'll want to drink bleach afterwards.

Please stop butchering these poor characters, authors. Or at least do it quietly and in the dark; that's at least a courtesy that Jack the Ripper managed to uphold.

Jesus Christ himself is weeping over this. Don't make the Lord of Hosts cry, guys.

Nooooo.

I don't mind crossfics, and I like them a lot when they're done well; I probably have half a dozen Doctor Whooves fics favorited. It's just aggravating seeing them slaughtered by authors who don't care enough to take the time to write well.
