I didn't know this was a thing I wanted till I saw it.
Listeners, the Princess of the Night has been spotted by locals in their dreams. It appears each time she is rapidly digging a hole in the ground. One citizen reported seeing pony sized hole before being banished from sleep. A day later, the pony was observed wandering the town at midnight, screaming incoherently. After the matter was brought to her attention, Luna dismissed such claims as fanciful dreaming. She later stated that she was definitely not relapsing into Nightmare Moon. And that disposing of a pony's essence in the dream of another rarely ever has side effects.
This is becoming a REALLY creepy radio show...

Thanks! So far the only things I feel I've really pulled from the show itself are the references to the Park and the Library, as well as a handful of characters (Old Woman Josie, Carlos). I wanted to get a couple of things that Night Vale listeners were already familiar with, and then I can spend more time working on the things that make Ponyville unique rather than Night Vale. Things like the Walker in the woods or Sea Silt's ongoing campaign against Twilight Sparkle.
Hopefully after a few chapters, I'll have struck a solid balance between the iconic places and characters of Night Vale and the more specific problems and events only found in Ponyville. There will also be underlying stories that take place throughout several chapters, such as Ditzy Doo's current predicament. And yes. Sea Silt x Lyra is my OTP. She has such a wonderful mane.

I started out thinking I'd cast Twi in the Apache Tracker/Steve Carlsburg slot, but I think I might take it a bit further now. There may actually be reasons that Sea Silt doesn't trust Twilight. Then again, remember that Cecil's not always the most reliable narrator, and neither is Sea Silt.
