Apologies

Hey, everyone.
Just an update (today's date: January 16th, 2014). I've, unfortunately, hit a few brick walls. First and foremost, cynicism. I try to be optimistic when I can, noticing the flaws and faults and darker things while pointing out the brighter aspects of the world, but recently, I've just been having a pessimistic streak. Not depression, just a lot of... pessimism. Second, a writer's block. I just don't have the energy, motivation, or creative spark to write all that much. In addition to school, this cuts down on productivity immensely. I dunno when I'll get another chapter out, but I'll try to keep you guys current. Finally, I was reading through Look Twice, my notes for the story, and my plans for how it's supposed to play out (which I've already deviated from partly, but I've been changing the plans to match) in an attempt to continue work on Chapter 5 (which I know is a big mistake), and I'm already starting to doubt myself. I don't like the Purge, its purpose in the narrative or its place in the timeline. I just want to edit it out of Chapter 3 and replace it with something else, eliminating it from the narrative altogether. A few other things don't sit well with me right now, either. I know I shouldn't doubt myself and I thank everyone for the support. I'm not canceling the project, but this does, unfortunately, mark the start of a hiatus.
Like I said, I'll try to keep everyone up-to-date. Until then, try to take it easy. And please stay positive. There's enough pessimism in the world already.
