Chrysalis, the Changeling Queen, has been fighting a bloody, stalemated war against a desperate rebellion that has pushed her sights to conquest abroad. Her sights have fallen on Equestria and she has schemed for months to execute a swift and decisive strike in Canterlot, which would leave Equestria leaderless and too disorganized to defend itself. She and her Changelings would feed off of the ponies of Equestria to gain power and finally crush that rebellion.
Were she to succeed, it could mean the end of Equestria, and the rise of a new world order under the rule of a desperate tyrant. Were she to succeed, even darker events would lie ahead.

This is a story that begins as an alternate universe rewrite of "A Canterlot Wedding" in which Chrysalis's plan is completely revised to fit her deceptive nature, and it progresses to dealing with the aftermath of a successful invasion. Inspired by Dr Wolf's YouTube video "Rewriting A Canterlot Wedding."

Ponyville is the last place that this Changeling expected to end up, but here she is. Double-Take lives a life under the guise of a pony named "Starlight Silver," a pony the she befriended years ago. It was Starlight who gave Double-Take a chance to hide as a normal pony and live a semi-normal life: an act of kindness that Double-Take cherishes every day that she wakes up to go to work.
But all things have an end, sooner or later. There is something looming on the horizon and it involves the Changelings... including the so-called "Abandoned" that have rejected Queen Chrysalis.
Can Double-Take overcome the challenges that lie ahead? Or will she be reveled to Equestria and be forced to flee from her past once again?

Hey everypony, this is my first MLP fan fiction. I want to thank everypony who's decided to read and I hope that you all keep following the story. A word of warning, though; updates will usually be slow-going. On another note, I accept and encourage constructive criticism and corrections about spelling, grammar, continuity (because I am flawed and I rewrite constantly) whenever they appear (so long as ponies are polite about it). Okay, I'll stop with the "pony" thing. No use in overusing it. Anyway, I hope you all enjoy it. Or hate it. Whatever you want, really. This is just for fun, anyway.
