Updates to Rarity and Pinkie Pie's story, Bronycon, and a new story. · 9:16pm Dec 5th, 2013
Well, here's an update for Rarity and Pinkie Pie. I've been in a slump after multiple disappointments recently, that I cannot deny. It will take me some time to get back out of this one I'm sure, and sorry for that fellas.
I'm not saying I'm in a rut or anything like that. Writing is just sort of a mood passed time, if you don't have the urge it's hard to do it. Here I am at the apex of my stories and I just am not writing them. I managed to do this chapter, yes, but it took several days. Not sure when the next updates will roll around. Though, the next Atl and Mlm are still getting worked on.
If anyone knows a shock therapy treatment to make people forget transgressions and want to write, by all means send it my way.
The New Story: The Mane Makes The Pony
This one is short, and silly, and I only wrote it to cheer up. I also do really want to find the time to write all of my one shot ideas, though. I don't exactly want to just stick to my established stuff and remain... a one trick pony?

Just a last, teasing sentence here, but Hoopy Mcgee and I are still talking over some collaborative ideas. Yes I know my plate's beyond full already... But I certainly think I could work on a story of that nature. It's not a promise, but forecasts look good for that possibility.
The thought of a collaboration between Merlos the Mad and Hoopy McGee makes me salivate.
I wouldn't mind if you wanted to write some silly one-shots for a while; It's infinitely better than nothing at all.
And I don't know what this "Hoopy" is, but it sounds like awesome.

I'm sure I would just feel ashamed. Trust me, I'm well aware most have it far worse than me, and that just makes me feel worse.
Oh yes, for getting in the mood, I suggest guzzling a bottle of Reisling Auslesse while watching the best of Season 2.
This will have the following effects:
#1 You'll be both slobbering drunk and zooming around like mad on a sugar high.
#2 German powers will take over your mind and make you feel as though you are of the Master Race.
#3 Pinkie Pie will notice your insanity and start blathering on randomly in your thoughts.
#4 Stories will happen! Thought you may not remember writing them later.

Me, I have to just drop writing altogether, not even think about it. In time, my muse comes back. (A lot of time, if the 6 month hiatus on Last was any indication.) But there are other ways. Forcing yourself to write, anything, even if it's absolute drivel, sometimes gets the gears turning again.
Or copious amounts of alcohol.
