A++ Would pony again.
It's not... 100% flawless, there's one or two questionable decisions and some kind of forced dialogue, but seriously TOP SHELF two-parter. Up there with "The Return Of Harmony." I mean the ultimate character arc might have been a tad forced but there's so much other character STUFF that goes into the episode that it almost doesn't matter how the "lesson"-esque moment functions because there's already been some pretty hardcore learnin' going on all up in here.
But yeah, add this one to the pile of "Episodes Meghan McCarthy wrote that are really really good."
(Not that it has answered all of my questions about Princess Twi being a thing but I suppose a season premiere was never going to because they're, by definition, not like every other episode of the show. It was encouraging, anyway.)
Edit: Also I neglected to mention (minorest of spoilers) that TWILIGHT'S TELEPORT SPELL PRESERVES MOMENTUM I AM VINDICATED MUHAHAHAHAHAH!
