I have it. #TeamFennekin
I've been waiting for this thing ever since it was announced, and holy shit does it live up to expectations. Graphics are great, new Pokemon are awesome, and they've patched up a bunch of things that have been problems in the past. Besides some frame rate issues, I can't find much to gripe about.
So yeah. I'm just really excited about this. Time to go catch em all.

WHY IS EVERYONE FREAKING OUT ABOUT POKEMON?!!
Is Fennekin the new Grass starter?

The new one comes out today!
1414756 I know, but still.
I'm sorry, I'm going to need a source of the awesomeness of the new Pokemon. The last couple games have had shitty, shitty, shitty lame Pokemon.
Edit: What the fuck? Fairy Type? When!? What!? Huh!?
1414804 if you want a Pokemon with a really solid design, check out Pangoro. There's also a Cthulhu Pokemon, but I forget what it's called.
To be fair, there have been some terrible Pokemon, but there's been some great ones too. Chandelure from Gen V is one of my favorites in the whole series.
1414756 Fennekin is the fire starter and becomes fire/psychic, which I think has some great possibilities.
1414760 Because Pokemon is awesome.
1414804 Also, Fairy type adds some awesome new dimensions to the game, including giving Dragon types a new weakness. It mixes up the formula quite a bit, and in my opinion is a very welcome addition to the franchise.
1414986 Black and white had too many damned monkeys. And I'm SO glad they don't have another fire/fighting this time

At some point, Pokemon succumbs to YuGiOh Syndrome, where you just start making random objects on your desk into Pokemon. "Do we have a stapler Pokemon yet? No? Boom, there you go."
1415151 It's been like that since the beginning though. Magnemite is a magnet. Voltorb is a Poke Ball. Muk is a pile of ooze. There's like a dozen birds in generation 1. And at least when they do this, they make the concept interesting. Again, Chandelure. It's a chandelier, yeah, but its design and typing are great, plus its concept of luring things to the netherworld with its flames is brilliant.
Hey whats up? How are you doing?
1418421 Doing good sir, yourself?
1419555 Pretty well, thanks! How's your writing these days?
1420627 virtually nonexistent, but that's okay. I have other priorities and I'm going to write when the time feels right.
