A little thought for all of you.

I've been reading a lot of fiction lately. And I've come across some truly great stories. Also some truly horrible ones. But I don't care about those. There are a few gems I thought I should share with you, so here you go:

For those Vinyl/Octavia bros out there.

An Octavia/Vinyl fic at it's best, Watch and Learn is written by the devilish and talented Bonejingle. This story will hit you in every fucking feel you've ever had. I look forward to every Saturday he updates on, because I HAVE to know what happens next. It's a fucking roller coaster.

Then there's My Little Investigations: The Silent Dirge. It's also kind of a shipping fic, and follows some of the cannon set forth by The Vinyl Scratch, that classic and legendary radio show featuring our two favorite musicians. It's got adventure, mystique, and some good storytelling. A great premise that so far has delivered well.

While not really a shipping fic, House Arrest is a neat little story about Vinyl being stuck at home with no communication thanks to a rather POed Octavia. It's just getting started, but it has a lot of potential.

Yet another not-really-a-shipfic, Colgate Takes Acid is rather self-explanatory, dealing with our two heroines trying to wrangle a rather tripped-out dentist pony. It hasn't updated in a while, but what little there is of it is worth your time.

There are a few others much more widely known, like From Scratch, Syncopation, Accidental Harmony and it's sequel Harmony Redux, and the deliciously VERY NSFW Musical Relations and ITS sequel, Way to the Top.

If you're an avid Octavinyl fan as I am, go read through these. Very worth your time, attention, and emotions.

For anything NOT Octavinyl:

The Longest Day is an interesting take on the very start of the series, where instead of Nightmare Moon, we get a rather normal, if pissed off, Princess Luna. The writing is good and it has, again, great potential. It's just getting started, and was updated recently, so there's very likely more to come.

He Gave Her a Rose is a Caramel/Roseluck oneshot that is absolutely moving and beautiful. My god.

Sombra Makes Coffee. Sombra is now a barista. Fluttershy stalks him. Hilarity ensues.

Everfree is horror and adventure done correctly, set in the Skyfall universe. You don't need to read Skyfall to understand this fic, but you should go read them anyway.

Firedance is a Spitfire/Derpy ship. I KNOW. It's AMAZING.

Some of these stories I plug because they're amazing. Actually, all of them I do that. But the majority of these are amazingly under appreciated, and I can understand putting your heart into something and not getting anything out of it.
