Mac what are you doing (spoilers for Just for Sidekicks...somewhat) · 8:41pm Jan 26th, 2013
Mac if they see you with her
That ending was a jok

In all seriousness I totally missed Screw Loose in this scene. Damn these background priorities of mine.
Also Carrot Top having a thing for unicorns is canon.
On another side note, what's the status of the technological growth of machinery in Equestria now?
I could be wrong, but I think that's a unicorn we've seen Carrot Top with before, in The Last Roundup.
754693 She's been with plenty of unicorns before, but you're right. She was with Pokey Pierce at DT's Cutecinera, Ponet in Sweet and Elite, and then this guy, twice.
Also I prefer the headfanon that he's Dinky's father, hence why she's with him more than other guys before. Chicks dig a father figure.
Carrot Top was sitting next to Written Script on the train once or somesuch. I guess they're a canon couple now, though I think she was with somepony else in "Hearts and Hooves Day," so this might just be Carrot Top in her usual role as Interchangeable Background Character.
Also . . . although I somewhat like interpreting the ambiguous ending of "Hearts and Hooves Day" as indicating that Big Mac and Cheerilee are giving it a shot, I don't think walking next to each other down the street is an indication of much of anything.
758122 You can't deny however that it wasn't a coincidence.
Still, as much fun as it is to ship, I hope they keep it ambiguous. I've been on Derpibooru, and the anti-shippers are just as bad as the obsessive Fluttermac shippers. So aside from preserving my own ships, I hope it doesn't receive anymore hints.

In my early days, I toyed with some MacDash, and I liked building love triangles around Spike, but the shipping in this fandom is so overboard, and so contrary to the spirit of the show, which proposes itself as a lengthy meditation on platonic friendship for small children, that I've shifted toward the rabid anti-shipper camp myself, even if I am not yet completely rabid about it.
No, I agree it's not a coincidence that Mac and Cheerilee are walking next to each other. They are, as Cheerilee says, "good friends." They clearly enjoy each other's company, whether or not their mutual admiration is romantic.
Incidentally, a friend earlier pointed me to an image from a coloring book depicting Mac and Cheerilee giving each other goo-goo eyes while standing at the rail on the caboose of the Friendship Express. So CheeriMac makes it to some products whether or not it is canon per se.
