Writing is hard · 1:37am May 20th, 2023
For many years now I have been writing Mordane and I think I am now qualified to say that writing is hard.
I don't think what people really think about though is why it's hard.
Bare with me. This is basically a public self meditation.
Really writing isn't about putting words to paper.
Back up. Writing literally IS putting words on paper.
What I'm actually saying is that writing is about the process not the product 🤔
But the quality of the product is the only measure of the writing we have.
Well. I guess I am saying that it's also effectiveness that matters. You can't produce a bad product or take forever to make it.
Then there is work and life.
I'd love to make writing my life but that is easier said than done.
Then there is the technical skill of writing.
Really I need to think on this more. My process needs improvement. It takes me too long to write

Well, at least it sounds like you write more than I do. Stupid job >< makes me too tired.
pff dont get too worked up writing longfics its pretty challenging considering how few there are so dont be down if you take "too long" to write you should take a long time to write (but not bad Mondays 4 years long lol jk), you have other stuff in your life and as far as i know this isnt a job for you, have your story on the backburner of your life so instead of feeling bad when you rushed out a chapter knowing that its subpar when instead you can take your time and have mountains less stress by thinking out what you need to type imo
Two hardest parts I’ve found are 1) making the time and doing it, and 2) getting the characters reloaded into my brain after an inevitable break period.
As long as you are satisfied with the product, then that’s all that really matters.
Well, as long as you're still here writing it, I'll probably still be here to eventually read it :)

Writing is a challenge. I love how much you've faced that challenge, and all the great stories that have formed from it.
Especially mordane. I will wait patiently and as long as needed for the story.

You should be using the plural form, not the possessive one.
My job is never done
Writing is indeed a complicated process. I've been writing for not a long time, but I already know what burnout is. But I do my best to improve, write more, and be able to find motivation when I don't feel like writing. But the hardest for me is to write uni papers. But each time I feel like not writing, I look for examples, and it helps. Last time this content and human trafficking essay samples provided there inspired me and helped me to write because I was struggling for a long time with that task. So I still need to learn how to write without long pauses.
