The battle has ended and now Spark needs to find a new mare to be his...who will it be?
After his heated rivalry with Pokeblox, Hackalot Spark has to find somepony new. The thing is, he's too sad about losing Fluttershy. With the help of His friends he decides to find the new mare of his dreams...Question is, will he be able to, or will the memories of Fluttershy haunt him for the rest of his life?
Note: In "The Rivalry" it was read in a third person POV, now it's back to first person like in book 1. Now to the story.
Evolution
After the insanity that was being on the moon for a month or two I finally made it home. It felt great to see everything was where it was when I left. Nothing stolen, nothing moved, everything was exactly where it was in the first place. Heading down to my living room I thought about what Luna had told me...I can't give up on love just yet! There's always the option of finding somepony new...there's a crap-ton of mares in Equestria that I could land...I just gotta try. I finally headed to my bed to take a good nights rest and to find the next mare of my dreams.
The next day I woke up to find out that everything about me had changed! My personality stayed the same,but my looks had changed! I had a different hair style, my wings were different, heck I even got the Google Developers Group logo as my cutie mark! What I thought to myself was "What happened last night?!". After checking out my security cameras I had noticed that a big flash was in my bedroom as I was sleeping. "The big flash...was from me..." I said thinking about what I was going to do next. How did this even happen, how were ponies going to recognize me, why do I look different? I don't feel different! I felt like what a pokemon felt after it had evolved (or at least in my imagination). Anyway I decided to head to the arcade to open up shop. To my surprise there were people having a vigil-like event for my banishment. How I was going to explain to them that I returned was beyond me. I only opened up the back door only to find Princess Celestia tell me about what Luna had said to me."Never give up on Love Hackalot...because one day, love can find you." She said flying away toward her castle in Canterlot.
After opening my front door people were asking me who I was and how I was able to open the lock on my arcade door. I told them that I was Hackalot Spark, the same guy that was banished a while ago, to my surprise nopony believed me. I had to find some way to prove it to them. So I did, by telling everypony what happened between me, fluttershy, and pokeblox. After that insanity they finally believed me and gave me all sorts of hugs. I felt loved once again and they also complimented on my new look. This was just the beginning, as the entire mane 6 saw me and welcomed me back with open arms. Even fluttershy apologized for what happened! "Look I'm really sorry about what happened between you and pokeblox I-" Fluttershy said. "It's ok fluttershy I understand" I said to her with a smile...even though inside I felt horrible. Now that I think about it, I feel a lot more confident about myself, more mature, smarter, stronger, ok maybe not that last one but nonetheless! I thank the Princesses for giving me another chance. This is going to truly be...an awakening.
After a few days things were starting to feel normal again. The kids from Mrs. Cherilee's class were playing, Mrs. Cherilee was liking my new look, everything was going great! I felt like there was life injected into my blood stream. Then the most awesome thing happens...Cadance and Shining Armor visit my arcade! My Arcade! I rushed to the door to greet them. "Hey Armor, Cadance! Welcome to the arcade! What are you guys doing here?!" I said with so much excitement I couldn't contain myself. "We heard about your little talk with Princess Luna and we wanted to see if we could help." Armor told me. "Thank Celestia! Finally I get some help with my "Little" Love problem! Hopefully things won't go bad like last time" I said with some confidence. I explained to them my past relationships and how they all went to hell. Let's face it guys like me aren't real cassinovas when it comes to the opposite gender.
"So let me get this straight, your past relationships included you doing homework for some mare, being used because another mare wanted a colt jealous, AND the Fluttershy incident? Is that correct?" She asked me. "Yep all there. Oh there was this one time a mare asked me out on a dare...I said yes like the IDIOT I am." I said. She really looked as if she was puzzled. She explained to me how this might be a bit of a challenge considering my past relationships, my looks, my personality, all that and I told her that I want a mare that will love me FOR ME. She understood and got to work. She called every mare she knew that would make great potential dates, and Shining Armor called all his friends to give me ideas and even help me out with my wardrobe! This was great because now I have an even better shot at finding the mare of my dreams. Let's just see though how far this takes me and if Princess Cadance will have to use her "Love Magic" to make a mare love me. Believe me I want a mare to love me...but as I stated before, I want a mare to love me...FOR ME. Not just because of "Love Magic".
"Ok Hackalot I got all the friends I knew to help you out and they said..you have no chance. I'm sorry if that hurts you but that's what they said. It's definitely not what I believe" Cadance told me. "I tried my friends and they said they'd be more than welcome to help you out Hackalot. They're already on their way here now!" Shining Armor told me. "Thanks guys...at least 1/2 of the plan worked.." I said. So Cadance couldn't get the help of her friends...what was I supposed to do get mad at her? She told me that she will do EVERYTHING in her power to help me as much she could. It felt great having the support of both Cadance and Armor in my time of need. Thank Celestia for great friends like these.
After Shining Armor told me about his friends going to help me out, Cadance left and went back to Canterlot. Thankfully though I had Shining Armor on my side and hopefully things would be better this time around considering my last attempt at finding love here in Ponyville...Yes I'm talking about the fluttershy incident. Anyway we decided to head out to a local event that was happening in SugarCube Corner. I think it was a Speed Date with Cupcakes event, or something like that. There were cupcakes at every table and there were a ton of single mares at the event...heck one of them was Ms. Cherillee herself! "Ms.Cherillee what are you doing here" I asked. "Well you see, things can get a bit boring here in Ponyville...honestly I need a colt to keep me company is all" she replied. I thought to myself "Is she here just to friendzone some unlucky colt?".
Pinkie Pie came into the room to assign where everypony was going to sit and how the event would work. "Ok Hackalot remember: confidence, smile, and try not to touch any nerd subjects" Shining Armor told me. "Dude have you looked at me? The glasses give away the fact that I'm a nerd! Don't even have me take them off because I will not be able to see" I said. Armor understood and I was on my way.
I sat at the first table where I met this nice Mare named Derpy, although she was VERY cute...all she could talk about was muffins! Now don't get me wrong I LOVE muffins especially Chocolate Chip, but I don't eat them EVERY HOUR OF EVERY DAY. I was later nexted by Derpy for not talking about muffins enough. Next was Lyra Heartstrings, surprisingly she was real nice and even told me how she wondered what it would like to be a human. I told her I knew a human that would be perfect for her. I moved on to the next table and noticed that sitting right in front of me was Pinkie Pie herself!
"Um...Pinkie Pie...why are you at this table" I asked. "Because silly, I'm looking for a date myself! Believe me I've been thinking about what it would be like to fall in love, have a coltfriend, or even get married! Oh My Gosh wouldn't that be awesome if I got married? That would be so great -" Time ran out before Pinkie could finish her sentence so I moved on. After a while the dates started to move by quickly...mostly because I was nexted by so many mares it wasn't even funny.
After all was said and done Pinkie Pie announced the matches. "Ok we got Big Mac with Lyra, The Doctor and Derpy, Me and Hackalot." She kept reading off the names but I still had those 2 names stuck in my head...Mine and Pinkie's. I've heard a lot about Pinkie Pie...she's cute, fun, and cuddly...but don't piss her off. She will litterally turn your insides into ingredients for her famous cupcakes. Just the thought made my body quiver. Nonetheless Pinkie came up and hugged me and told me how we're going to have so much fun together. "Can't wait to see what we're going to do next! See you soon" she said hopping back to the kitchen of SugarCube Corner. "Yeah...can't wait to see what we do either" I said with a scared look on my face. My mind could only think of one thing at the moment..."Oh Celestia Why".
After the whole "Speed date" thing I decided to head home for the night. Thinking about what was to become of me I decided to do some research. I looked on my Chromebook for anything involving Pinkie Pie and the results were shocking.
She was shown more as a crazy, bloodthirsty psycho than as her happy go lucky self...Dear Celestia. What was I going to do on our first date, which by the way is scheduled for next week. Who would I get? Pinkie the sweet, cheery, awesome, party mare I know...or Pinkamena, her evil half, the psycho one, the cupcake making one? Ugh...This is ridiculous. I need help.
I decided to call up my cousin Saberspark. He and I are real close because we're both very smart when it comes to technology. The only thing is...he's employed, I'm the boss of my own empire. "Hey Saber? It's Hackalot. Just wanted to see if you could call me back. I need your help" was the message I left on his voicemail machine. He must be busy with EFR. No doubt they do an amazing job and all...but where is a cousin when you need him?
While I sat at my desk and contemplated my fate I got a phone call. "Hello?" I answered. To my surprise it was Pinkie Pie, saying she wanted to come over to my house because she brought cupcakes for the both of us to eat. "Um....Sure come to the arcade and I'll let you in" I said to her. She said ok and hung up. That was it...my fate was sealed. Celestia knows what's going to happen as far as this date is concerned but let me tell you, if she goes Pinkamena on me I'm calling the Royal Guard, Princess Celestia, or both.
Now I have the urge to break some sort of "4th wall". Hey reader? Can you help me? Tell me in the comments what I should do if or when Pinkie Pie becomes Pinkamena. Should I run? Should I call somepony? Tell me! Anything would be great.
As I waited for Pinkie Pie to get to my house I decided to read the comments that people left me on FimFiction.net. I found some crazy ones on there. One really caught my eye:
"If she goes Pinkamena, hit her on the head with a Gamecube. What else is the handle on the back used for?"
It was sent in by somepony named Joy Stick...hmm sounds like somepony would want to take care of the arcade should I pass away Celestia forbid.
I heard my door bell go off and I looked at my security camera; it was her, Pinkie Pie, at the front door of the arcade. "Come on in" I said in the intercom as I opened the arcade doors. "Hackalot...oh Hackalot where are you" she asked looking around. "Do me a favor and stand in the middle of the room" I said preparing the trap door and the landing cushion. "Okie Dokie Lokie! I wonder what's going to happen" she said standing in the middle of the room with the cupcakes. I opened all the trap doors in the house including the one in the arcade and I could hear her falling all the way in the bedroom while I got myself ready. After I was ready she was already on floor 50, "only 5 floors to go" I thought to myself. She entered the living room landing on the cushion with the cupcakes intact no problem. "Welcome to my house Pinkie. Make yourself at home!" I said showing her my living room. Her eyes were filled with amazement, she couldn't believe that she was underground in somepony's house. "I've been to a library house, a cottage house, a fashion store house, a cloud house, a farm house, but never an UNDERGROUND house! This is amazing" she said with excitement.
"Glad you approve, go ahead and sit on the couch, I'll take the cupcakes" I suggested. She told me that it wasn't necessary because during the fall her cupcakes cooled down. We began to eat the cupcakes and started to talk about our interests and how she makes real good cupcakes. "It's a VERY special recipe...something I can't tell you" she said to me while getting another cupcake. "I bet it's very special" I said however I knew what that "very special recipe" was. Thanks to a link somepony sent me I found out that Pinkie would take the insides of her victims and use them as ingredients for her cupcakes. I didn't want to tell her about what the source said so I kept it to myself.
"So Hackalot...have you ever fallen in love before" she asked me. "Yes. You already know about it because you helped" I said to her. "Oh Right! The Fluttershy Incident. Ponies still talk about it you know that" she asked me. "Yeah I know...Ever since that it's been much harder for me to find a mare considering my hellish past" I told her almost tearing up. "Believe me Hackalot it's ok. I think you'll find the perfect mare. She might even be in this very room..." She said to me with a flirty look in her eye. "You really like me" I asked. "Are you kidding? I kinda had a crush on you since the first day I met you...but after you were chasing after Fluttershy I decided not to stop you" she said to me swinging her hooves on the couch.
To think that I hit the jackpot would be an understatement. I really felt a passion toward her that was like no other. I had found her...the mare of my dreams, and I plan on keeping her for as long as I live!
After Pinkie Pie had left my house I decided I'd prepare for game night tonight! This week's theme was First Person Shooters, which was Luna's favorite and specialty. Heading down to the Basement, which was inspired by the Training Stage from Street Fighter 4, I thought to myself how I was going to keep Pinkie Pie. I don't want her to leave me, but I'm not good with mares. By the way if you're reading this and you HAVEN'T read book one...GO READ IT and then come back and you'll understand. Anyway I made it to the basement with all of my gaming equipment on hand. My Xbox 360, PS3, and some games like Halo, Call of Duty, and my personal favorite...Battlefield...3.
After setting up I called my friends and Princess Luna to tell them that Game Night was ready. In Rainbow Dash like fashion they came to my door and I let them in. Later I dropped them all the way to the basement which was 100 floors down. Yes I know my house is huge I get it. Believe me you won't even want to know what kinds of floors I have. They landed safely here in the basement and we were ready to rock. I activated my overhead wifi apparatus which was a bunch of wifi routers on the ceiling of the basement all connected to one system, mine.
Luna was excited, she really loves her First Person Shooters and who can blame her. However I'm a more Fighting Game player myself. I love Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, Marvel VS Capcom, Tekken, all that stuff. That's what I play and I respect others if they have a difference of opinions. Nonetheless game night started and everything went well. Heck even Luna won our little Halo tournament and beat Shining Armor in the final round! It was amazing, and the best part was after all was said and done...I got a call from my cousin Saberspark! "Hello? Cousin Saber? you there" I asked on the phone. "Yeah man! Sorry I didn't get to answer when you called earlier, I just got your message man what's up" He asked. I told him about my situation with Pinkie Pie and how she confessed her love to me. "Wow man! That's awesome that Pinkie Pie said she loved you! You gotta capitalize! Show her how much you love her...I'll tell you something, she is a huge fan of EFR! You want me to play a song for her and say you requested it" he asked me. "That would be awesome! Thanks a lot cousin" I said with a huge smile on my face.
"Alright man I'll see what I can do ok" he asked. "Sure thing Saber! Take it easy and tell your boss to be good otherwise you're working for me" I told him. See, Saber and I made a deal that if he lost his job at EFR that he would automatically have a job with me. I am a nice boss I am!

Another day in ponyville. The sun is shining bright today as the pegasi in cloudsdale are hard at work controlling the weather. Seems like a normal day right? Wrong. Today is my 19th Birthday. That's right! This little tech-nerd ain't so little anymore! I was so excited to see what was going to happen today...then I get some sort of weird note on my front door. It said "Don't come to Sugarcube corner until 2pm this afternoon. Momma got a surprise for you! Hearts, Pinkie Pie". Oh sweet Celestia this just might be the Best Birthday Ever! I was already on my way to the store to pick up some groceries for the house when I was stopped by...ugh...The Great and Powerful Trixie...she gave me a birthday wish, which was odd considering she's never like that...ever. I said thank you and went on my way, when I was stopped again by Mayor Mare who also gave me a birthday wish. How nice that I'm getting a birthday wish from the mayor of ponyville herself! I managed to get all my groceries and head back to my house when I had noticed a huge card was being taken to Sugarcube corner. "Hmm...That's not for me is it?" I thought. Nonetheless I headed down to my house and restocked my fridge with Mountain Dew, Ramen Noodles, and a personal favorite of mine...Japanese Mochi balls! They are my kryptonite.
It was 1:30pm when I realized I had to be at Sugarcube Corner at 2! I got my stuff and headed out the door as fast as I could when I kept on getting stopped by other ponies wanting to wish me happy birthday. I said thank you and ran as fast as I could to Sugarcube corner. Busting through the door I made it in time, no sign of Pinkie Pie..or the Cakes and their kids...odd. "Hello" I shouted "Anypony here?" I later saw a note that had said "To Hackalot: Follow the birthday candles for your surprise". I noticed there was no signature, yet I could recognize the handwriting. I immediately noticed the candles on the floor and decided to follow them not knowing what was going to be at the end. The trail stopped at a dark room, and I've known from playing Slender, and watching horror previews...that you NEVER go in a dark room. Being stupid, and because I was curious I went into the dark room. All of a sudden a little light came on with a cupcake shining on it...flashbacks started to enter my head...could this be? I thought to myself "No..she couldn't". Then I noticed a little note next to the cupcake...The words read "Party Time". I read the words aloud and then the dark room lit with Pinkie Pie and a big Birthday Card to, who else, me. However my attention was immediately turned toward Pinkie as she was eating a cupcake VERY seductively...she signaled me to come to her and we proceeded to do some things that I can not go into detail without giving this fic a NSFW rating. Nonetheless I gotta admit...Best...Birthday...EVER!!
(Note: I decided to write this chapter early because I knew you guys were getting anxious and I was getting bored, so there)
A few weeks after my *ahem* birthday fun, I received a phone call from the mayor of Cloudsdale. He told me that they were prepared to make a deal with me and allow a Sparkade (That's the name of the arcade) to be built in Cloudsdale. They even told me that they had Princess Celestia put a spell on the machines to make sure that they weren't going to fall through the clouds, because you know how things without wings are. Knowing what I had to do I got my suit, tie, and briefcase filled with my important documents and last night's dinner, and went to Cloudsdale to strike a deal.
On the way up I ran into Princess Celestia who looked mega-pissed at me. "Why in Equestria were you not at the Royal Wedding" she asked very sternly. "Because I had important things rather than go to a wedding. You know how my love life has been! I don't want some lucky bastard like Shining Armor rubbing that in!" I told her. "What ever happened to Pinkie Pie" she asked. "Oh her? She left me because she didn't want to be "Exclusive". Crazy I know." I told her. She nodded her head and left for her castle, I wondered what she was going to do but that's for another chapter.
I had arrived in Cloudsdale and met with some Realtors and Investors wanting to strike a deal with them to have a Sparkade in Cloudsdale. They were really fancy, yet surprisingly they don't live in Canterlot. We had talked about how I would be building a Sparkade in Cloudsdale and how things would be run. For instance I would be running the whole show in my headquarters in Ponyville, while I hire a General Manager for the Cloudsdale location. It worked in the Canterlot Location, and it's still running really well! We struck a deal and we went our separate ways, while the construction team was already working on the Sparkade Cloudsdale location.
When I got back home I noticed I received a voicemail from somepony. Odd, I rarely get voicemail, let alone from somepony! I had played the message and it was from Princess Celestia! She told me to meet her in the Canterlot Castle as soon as possible. Without hesitation I got dressed and made my way there. To my surprise I didn't know Celestia had my number, then I realized my number was in the yellow pages. How stupid I must be feeling right now.
When I made it to the castle she had told me all that she had seen from my success and what I have failed in as a alicorn. I know that for some stupid reason Alicorns aren't really that popular and/or loved by some. But frankly I didn't care, I loved the way I was. She had asked me if I remembered my parents and I said yes, although that fateful night of the fire still haunts me to this day. Celestia had told me that it was virtually impossible for a pegasi mare and a work stallion to have Alicorn colt.
"What do you mean? That my parents aren't really my parents" I asked. "Unfortunately yes...that's because..." she said looking away from me. "Because what Princess? I have a right to know" I said with anxiety. "The truth is Hackalot, you were born from royalty. Meaning that...you came...from me" She told me looking dead into my eyes.
After hearing that Celestia was my actual mom I was shocked. Questions started to go through my head, why did Celestia give me up, what is going to happen now, will I become the first Prince of Equestria, and the all important question...did I leave the oven on at home? "So you mean to tell me that you're my actual mother? Why didn't you tell me this before?!" I asked. "Because I wanted to see how you would do in this world. Let's face it, not a lot of good things happen in Ponyville" she said. "Well now you know, I'm a successful business owner, the Sparkade Franchise is going to Cloudsdale thanks to you, and if that wasn't enough I'm now on the top 100 most richest stallions in Equestria!" I said happily. "Well I'm glad to hear it, I apologize for not telling you sooner, and in case you were wondering Prince Blueblood is next in line after Luna should I pass, but after him it's you" she told me.
To think that should Blueblood pass at the throne that it would be mine! The respect I would get and the love I would give, it would be amazing! "Celestia I got to ask, who's my real dad" I asked. "Well Hack, there's a reason why I'm called "Molestia"" she told me with a wink. The three words that came to my mind were "Oh...Celestia....Why....". She really lived up to her name apparently. "One more thing Hackalot, keep this between us ok" she asked. "I can do it...mom" I told her as I gave her a hug and then went on my way home.
The Next Day
The next day I got a call from Shining Armor, he told me about how he found out that Pinkie left me and how he was pissed at the fact that he couldn't help me out. Apparently, he got stuck in the doghouse because he forgot his and Cadances wedding anniversary and didn't get her anything, thus causing her to flip the buck out and that was the end of it. They're still together, just Shining Armor is sleeping on the couch tonight. However he wasn't going to leave me in the dark, turns out while we were in football together (See Sparks Fly: Prequel) he had a little black notebook filled with mares phone numbers. He sent them to me via derpymail and I was ready with a fresh batch of muffins. I set the muffins out on near the mail chute and waited patiently for them to come.
Three and a half hours later
Derpy had arrived with the package all intact, I gave her the muffins and she went on her way. I opened the package to find the little black notebook and what I saw was surprising...
After opening the box and revealing its contents I had found the little black book Shining Armor had sent me. I had opened it and found the contents of the book to be surprising. I had found numbers to almost every mare in Equestria, including Ms. Cherilee, Mayor Mare (ugh), The Great and Powerful Trixie (even more ugh), and even more shocking...Princess Cadance's number wasn't in there at all! I was surprised and I had to get to the bottom of it.
I called up shining armor to see what the buck was going on in his little black book, he never told me about it when we were teammates in Football. "Hackalot, remember when I was single? Every chance I got I had the black book with me, you just never saw it and I never told you; and as far as Princess Cadance is concerned, I gave up on the book after I met her." he told me. Wow, to think that he was this popular, or just that much of a player...I'll let you make the call reader.
After reading the little black book I decided to put it away and save it for a later date, or when I'm really desperate. I later logged on to my Chromebook and checked my email, and what I received was shocking. I received an email from investors in Cloudsdale, they say that they have caught me in some sort of sex scandal with Pinkie Pie and demanded that I answer to these allegations or they will back out of investing in the Sparkade franchise. I couldn't believe it, I had to check the papers. So without delay I got my morning Foal Free Press and what I saw was stunning... the headline read:
Local Arcade Owner caught in Scandal with Pinkie Pie
I couldn't believe she would do such a thing, and much to my despair she is wanting to sue me for 1/2 my net worth or 1.2 million bits. What am I going to do...?

Local Newspaper Article: Local Arcade Owner Found Dead
Just 3 weeks after the announcement of an alleged sex scandal with Pinkie Pie, 19 year old arcade owner extraordinaire Hackalot Spark has been found dead in his Sparkade office in Ponyville. The cause of death was by poisoning, meaning someone had poisoned Hackalot's favorite mid-day drink Sugar Free Rockstar Energy. The whereabouts of his killer are unknown be we do have clues to who this killer is. When asked to comment Princess Celestia had this to say:
I can't believe somepony would do something like this...usually I wouldn't do anything and let you take care of this, but this is much different...expect consequences...LUNAR consequences.
The visitation for Hackalot Spark will be at the Ponyville Funeral Home this saturday, led by former high school football star and current husband to Princess Cadance, Shining Armor. There is already a vigil up at the doors of the arcade. Please come by and make your respects.
It appears that we may have a lead onto who Hackalot's murderer may be. After the Royal Guard had searched the entire Arcade in all 3 locations, the Royal Guard had found a note that had read:
There is no way that a nerd like you will ever take the throne of Equestria, I will make sure of it. Sincerely, sangre azul
The Royal Guard could not determine who's name that was because they didn't take spanish in high school. We will keep you posted.
With everything that has been happening in all of Equestria, with Hackalot dead, some "sangre azul" dude on the loose, and the Royal Guard getting involved...it's best that we call this book COMPLETE and move on...so get ready for...
