Sonic tries to go faster than he ever has but ends up accidentally traveling to a new world and he meets new friends and enemies along the way
(Contains spoilers for G5) Sonic is his name and speed is his game he decides to try and go faster than he's ever gone before but when he does, He accidentally travels to equestria where he meets sunny and Izzy, together they travel across equestria to try and bring back magic as well as reunite all of pony kind.
(side note I will do my best to keep everyone in the story as accurate as possible. This will be mostly based on the film MLP a new generation and Eggman will not be apart of the story along with sonic’s friends just keep that in mind)
Sonic loves to do a lot of things like going on adventures, hanging out with friends or running extremely fast but on this particular day he wasn’t really satisfied with his run so he decided to try and go faster than he ever could he got into a running stance and with a smirk he then blasted off he managed to go extremely quick flying through green hill over and over again he felt so alive.
Sonic decide to finally pick up the speed going slowly faster a few minutes have passed and he had ran around green hill over 300 times and was getting closer to his goal he began to notice the blue aura slowly turning white and all of a sudden a giant bright light exploded around sonic and he was nowhere to be seen only leaving behind electricity

Sonic eventually woke up he slowly opened his eyes. but when he did what he saw was what look like a horse with a horn with a blue mane with what looks to be a bracelet around its hoof they both locked eyes before the unicorn finally talked and said with an upbeat happy voice
Sonic stood up to fully examine the unicorn that stands in front of him after what felt like an eternity sonic finally decide to speak. ¨Hello¨ he gave off a very curious gaze toward the unicorn
¨I´ve never seen anything like you before, what are you suppose to be¨ Izzy said in a cheerful tone.
¨I´m Sonic, Sonic the hedgehog and I have no idea where I am¨ he stated with a look of confusion
¨Well you are in Equestria, a magical place that no longer has magic¨ Izzy said
¨Never heard of this place and what do you mean no longer has magic¨ he asked with a confused tone
¨Well we did have it but that was many many moons ago it just left all of a sudden at least that´s what I was told¨ she said
¨That´s strange, but you know what I´ll come along and help you¨ sonic said with confidence.
¨Really you mean it¨ She asked with joy
¨I always keep my word¨ she happily jumped around for a few seconds before she calmed down.
¨What are you exactly doing out here all by yourself Izzy¨
¨I was on my way to Maretime Bay because years ago I found a lantern and inside was a message that said I had friends in Maretime Bay.¨ She then proceeded to pull out a note from the back of her mane showing the message.
¨You know Izzy, I can be your friend¨ She then smiled with glee and wrapped her hooves around sonic which he then returned back to her.
They finally broke away from the hug and got back on their feet/hooves. ¨Well what do you say Izzy you ready to proceed to Maretime Bay.¨ Izzy then nodded and together they started to walk toward the town, along the way Izzy got curious about who Sonic is and decided to ask some questions
¨So where did you come from Sonic and how did you get here?¨ Sonic then turned to Izzy and began to explain
¨Well I come from a place called Mobius and it is a great place to visit. Lot´s of paths to take, tons of loops to run on and great friends to top it off.¨ Izzy was very intrigued and was all the more curious to know more about him
¨And I believe I got here because I tried to run faster than I´ve ever gone, and then everything turned white, and that´s how I got here from what I remember.¨ Izzy was beyond speechless to here this and decided to ask sonic another question.
¨So how fast can you go?¨
¨Faster than the speed of sound, you want to see?¨ Izzy then nodded her head at a rapid pace, with a smirk on his face he then ran around Izzy 10 times in less than 1 second before stopping.
Izzy was beyond impressed her jaw fell to the floor with a surprised expression, she then smiled widely
¨Oh my stars you are fast i´m so happy I could just explode.¨ Sonic gave a chuckle, with Izzy chuckling as well, after finally calming down they both shared smiles before continuing toward Maretime Bay. Izzy then explained most things about her
¨My special talent is to be able to craft objects with anything that I need like jellybeans¨ Sonic then pictured one of his friends.
¨You remind me of a friend who is really good at making machines¨ Izzy smiled and they proceeded to continue forth toward the town.
A few minutes later
They eventually saw the town up ahead and looked at each other with smiles and proceeded toward the town with excitement, while walking Izzy told Sonic about how all pony kinds didn´t get along with one another and treated each other as enemies (specifically Pegasi).
Sonic seem shocked after hearing this but decided to speak up and lighten the mood, ¨You know Izzy maybe there could be a way to unite all pony kinds again¨ he said with confidence Izzy gave of another curious look.
¨Well who knows, but right now we must head to Maretime Bay¨ Izzy then nodded in agreement and they continued toward the town. When they finally reached the entrance they came across two earth ponies, who looked at them with fear before running off screaming their heads off ¨Well that was weird¨ Sonic stated
¨Ooh they must be playing a game¨
¨I´m not so sure Izzy¨ he said with concern. They then saw more Ponies screaming and running from them, Sonic took note of one specific earth pony on the ground a few feet in front of them she appeared to have Apricot body color, her mane was Magenta and Purple, her eyes were Emerald green and her cutie mark was a large pink star with a blue trail and two smaller pink stars she also seemed to have a saddle bag with a giant star on it with 5 little stars around it there were also three pin badges one of them showing the same star on the bag but it was colored a dark pink with a purple background, the second one showed three butterflies colored pink with a yellow background and finally a storm cloud with rainbow lightning with a blue background.
The earth pony finally turned to look up at what was in front of her only for her to gasp at what she saw. A unicorn and a blue creature standing in front of her staring at her, the unicorn finally leaned forward and spoke to her.
¨Hi new friend my names Izzy¨ The earth pony finally stood up and didn´t break eye contact with Izzy, before finally being able to speak again.
¨U-Unicorn!¨ Everyone started running in fear again while screaming, some of the ponies ran into buildings and locked them while pulling down blinds, others jumped into sewer lids, while everyone else tripped over and fell onto the ground, Sonic took note of everything that was going on around him he acknowledged how scared the ponies were being, before anything else happend sonic mumbled to himself the only he could think of.
¨Well this is stupid if i´ve ever seen it.¨ before glancing back towards the earth pony that was still staring at both him and Izzy with a shocked expression and a smile.
The morning sun shined brightly on the lighthouse that was near the outskirts of Maretime Bay, inside of the lighthouse lived an Earth Pony Mare named Sunny Starscout who was about to begin her greatest adventure yet.
Sunny was almost ready to leave the house but before she did she decided to take one more look at a photo of what appeared to be a blue stallion with glasses and a wooden pendant that was in the shape of a star.
“Today's the day, Dad. I actually have a plan this time. Wish me luck!” she then proceeded to exit the lighthouse and close the door before reopening it so she could fix the picture frame before closing the door once more.

She began making her way toward Canterlogic but then she was stopped by someone she knew personally from her childhood.
“Aha! There you are, Sunny. just the pony I was expecting.”
“Morning, Sheriff Hitch. I see you brought the whole squad along again” Hitch looked down to see two seagulls and a crab to find out that they are standing right next to him at his service.
“What is it with me and critters? it’s like they are attracted to me or something. Come on guys give Hitch a little space” The three critters took one step back before Hitch and sunny resumed talking to each other.
“So what’s up?” Sunny asked
“Oh, please like you don’t know at all. Today is the annual presentation at Canterlogic” he explained with sarcasm.
“Hey I’m headed there right now” Sunny said with enthusiasm. But she was stopped once more by Hitch.
“Uh no your not because I know you’ve come up with hairbrained scheme to sabotage it, and if you think your gonna simply walk on throu-“
“Hey Hitch” she said in a singsong voice.
“No” He replied
“Come on” Just then two other ponies walked by.
“Good morning sheriff Hitch” Hitch then quickly responded back to them.
“Morning, Mayflower, Dahlia. Sunny, I'm on duty.” He said with a hint of annoyance. She then gestured her hoof upwards holding it out for Hitch to which he groaned and began to do their hoofshake.
“Up high, down low, hitch it to a post! Flip it sunny-side up and on a piece of toast!”
“Okay?” Then a red stallion came up to them and was wheezing really heavily after trying to catch Sunny.
“I did what you asked for, Hitch. She never left my side, not even once.” He explained while still wheezing.
“Oh hey Sprout. You okay? You seem kind of wheezy”
“That’s deputy Sprout to you” Sunny then once more tried to head toward Canterlogic before Hitch chased after her.
“Hey! W-Wait up! I'm not finished! Sunny! Sunny, we both know how this goes. Every year you try to sneak in, and every year I stop you.” he explained.
“Look, you have nothing to worry about. I'll just go into the factory, deliver my smoothies— “ but she was then interrupted by Sprout.
“Uh-uh! You can't even step a hoof in there! My mom had you banned!”
“But I” she tried to protest but was stopped by Hitch.
“I'm asking you as your friend, Sunny, not as sheriff. Just please try not to pull any stunts today” he begged
“Okay, Okay. I’ll try.” She responded
“Thank you. Now, give your delivery to Sprout and go home” but before he could watch Sunny leave someone dropped some paper onto the floor causing Hitch to react.
“Hey, hey! That's a violation of Code 33!” he then ran of after the pony, to which sunny tried to go back to Canterlogic only to be stopped by Sprout.
“Buh-bye” he then began laughing as Sunny gave him her smoothie cart before she skated away from him but while sprout wasn’t looking Sunny came back and had a little plan.
After that the show began and all went well so far they showed of a couple of new inventions like a hat that lets you see the sky or anti unicorn hats even a balloon pack which didn’t look useful at all, that was until Sunny came up onto the stage and tried to convince everyone that they should befriend both Unicorns and Pegasi but it ended up not working and she left Canterlogic in defeat.
Later on Sunny was packing up her smoothies while Hitch was lecturing her on what she did.
“Do you have any idea how many bylaws you broke in there?!” Hitch asked furiously
“I’m sure your about to tell me” Sunny retorted
“Actually, for once I can't! Because there's so many! I tried to warn you. I can't keep associating with some pony who breaks every rule and causes chaos wherever she goes. I'm the sheriff!”
“Exactly! Other ponies look up to you! You can help!“ Sunny exclaimed
“The law is the law, Sunny, and I'm here to uphold it and keep everypony safe.” Hitch said calmly
“Aha! You just said "everypony". That includes Pegasi and unicorns”
“Come on, Sunny, what did you think was gonna happen? You give a little speech and what? Everypony just magically welcomes unicorns and Pegasi into Maretime Bay? You keep saying there's nothing to be afraid of. Well, then, prove it.” Sunny tried to think of something to say but couldn’t find the words to do so.
“All of that pony unity stuff was just a foal's bedtime story made up by your dad. Like it or not, this is the way it is and always will be. I'm the last real friend you got in this town. You really want to lose me, too?” Hitch then started to walk away while Sunny just looked down in disappointment, she then saw two Foals running after each other until they saw a picture of a bad Pegasi. Before one of them pretended to be a Pegasus chasing after the other Foal. Sunny after seeing this sat down on the nearby bench and looked up to the sky.
“I wish you were here, dad.” After a moment of silence hoofsteps came fast as a Stallion came behind Sunny, panting before screaming and running of, this caught Sunny’s attention as she looked right before hearing more hoofsteps from a mare who was also screaming. This caused Sunny to get curious as she turned to where the ponies where running from.
“What the?” More and more ponies came running towards her panicking she then tried to figure out what was going on.
“What's going on? What's happening? Ugh!” She then knocked over before slowly looking upwards once more before she gasped at what she saw.
“Hi new friend! My name’s Izzy!” She exclaimed. Sunny couldn’t believe it but it was true there was a unicorn standing in front of her with a happy face she couldn’t take her eyes of it she then finally had the ability to speak once more.
“U-U-Unicorn!” This caused all of the ponies around to scream in terror and run away some of them decided to hide or get as far away as possible this caused Izzy to get curious.
“Ooh, is everypony playing hide-and-seek? I see you!“
“ Ah! It’s a unicorn” the stallion then jumped into the sea. Hitch then stepped out of the station with Sprout and began wondering what was going on.
“Hey, what's going on?” He then looked around and saw a unicorn standing there which caused him to gasp.
“Unicorn attaaaaaaaack!” Sprout after seeing this ran into a wall to which he fell to the ground. Hitch then proceeded to hit a button which turned on the alarm.
“This is not a drill! I repeat, this is not! A! Drill!” He then proceeded to run toward the unicorns location to try and capture it but along the way he saw a foal on the ground helpless which caused him to react.
“A Vulnerable young pony!” He then jumped over some objects before grabbing the goal and giving it to a random mare.”
“Gotcha! Your son is safe now ma’am”
“This isn’t my kid” the mare responded to which Hitch yelled back to her.
“Your welcome!” He then proceeded to give out orders.
“Man the Splat-a-pult! Activate the unicorn trap! Pick up that litter!” Then a bunch of squares with red circles and X’s popped up out of the ground everywhere which caused Sunny to gasp she then looked over at Izzy who was walking toward the sea not realizing that a trap was awaiting her.
“Wow! Is that the sea? I've never seen the sea!” Before Sunny could do anything a blue blur came toward the unicorn and brought her back to Sunny, who was in shock of what she saw next.
“Whew! That was close Izzy” Sunny could see what it was a Blue biped Hedgehog with red shoes, gold buckles, white gloves and a smirk to top it of. Sonic took notice of her surprised look before speaking once more.
“ listen we don’t have time to talk, you and Izzy will run down that alleyway and try and escape I’ll take of the traps they have set up… good, good” that was all he said before he motioned for them to move.
Sunny began running with Izzy while Sonic was keeping close by to ensure their safety.
I’ve gotta get you out of here!”
“Earth ponies are serious about games” Izzy said while giggling .
“They’re not playing! They’re terrified! This caused Izzy to react.
“Oh no! Of what?” She asked.
“You! You're a unicorn! Earth ponies hate unicorns!” Sunny explained.
“Really? That seems a little harsh.” when they were about to leave the alleyway a green ball of splat fell in front of them, as they looked around the corner they saw two splat-a-pults firing at them Sonic then got an idea of what to do.
“Listen you two run out when I go over to those machines and disable them that will give you two a chance to escape” Sunny was curious as to how he was going to do it but she trusted him, she then asked him a question.
“Wait before you go can I at least get your name?” Sonic looked at her before smiling.
“My name is Sonic! Sonic the hedgehog!” That was all he said before he ran out to take care of the splat-a-pults this allowed Sunny and Izzy to run and escape. Sunny was amazed at how fast Sonic was moving and within the ten seconds of her and Izzy running to safety she saw Sonic take care of the splat-a-pults before he took of up a building whilst following them.
After that they made a full circle around Maretime Bay before hopping around the traps that were on the ground sunny quickly traversed around them while Izzy continued hopping whilst humming to herself. Sunny kept running forward until she realized that Izzy was walking toward the theatre before she could do anything Izzy started speak.
“Ooh, I haven’t seen this one yet.” But Izzy didn’t realise that there was a trap on the ground where she was and she ended up being caught, Sonic was watching this from afar and began thinking of a plan.

Hitch then came running around the corner before seeing that the unicorn was trapped, he then smiled with confidence.
“All right, citizens, calm down. The threat has been neutralized. The unicorn has been captured. You may now cheer.” The citizens began cheering at the unicorns successful capture, until all of the traps activated with nothing in them this caused everyone to be confused as they took in their surroundings. Hitch was the most confused and began panicking a little bit before his thoughts were interrupted by a new voice.
“Whew! That was A lot of fun you know triggering all the traps and such, but I have to say one thing your traps are worst than eggheads traps!” Everyone looked In the direction of the voice to see a blue biped standing there with a confident smirk on his face.
Hitch then had the chance to speak once more this time trying to threaten this thing.
“Hey! How dare you come into our home, who and what are you” Hitch said while walking slowly toward this new figure. Sonic decided to have fun and zipped over to Hitch with one arm on Hitch’s back with the same confident smile.
“Oh you know a blue hedgehog who has to say that the unicorn will be leaving right now!” he then ran back over to the trap and hit the red button on it which released Izzy.
Everyone began running and screaming again to which the trio decided to leave Maretime Bay and to go back to Sunny’s house.
“Bye, it was nice meeting you all!” was all that Izzy said before she and others left. Hitch was beyond shocked and in disbelief about what just happened but he was then snapped back to reality before continuing with his goal.
“Deputy, to the lighthouse!” Hitch demanded, Sprout then got himself into a trap before speaking.
“Oh, no! I appear to be trapped!” Hitch became annoyed before finally muttering to himself.
Sunny, Izzy and Sonic were all running to the lighthouse to try and keep away from Hitch and Sprout, once they reached the door Sunny pulled it open and both Sonic and Izzy ran in with smiles on their faces, while Sunny quickly came inside and closed the door which caused the picture on the side to tilt.
Sunny quickly ran back to the picture and fixed it, before running back to her living room and quickly closing all the blinds in the house. After she closed the last one she looked at both Izzy and Sonic who stared at her with the same smiles they have been carrying all the way to her home.
Izzy got curious and proceeded toward Sunny “Do earth ponies also like staring contests? Hmmmmmm” she got close to Sunny’s face before blinking “Ah! You win I blinked!”
Izzy walked of toward a telescope while Sunny was still in utter shock of what she was seeing, Sonic began looking around to and was slightly taken aback from how nice the lighthouse was.
“You know this is a really nice place.” Sonic complimented Sunny finally had the ability to speak once more “There’s a Unicorn and Blue Hedgehog in my house. This is so cool!” She exclaimed happily before she took in account of what had happened minutes prior.
“Oh wait it’s bad. Very, very bad. What have I done?” Sunny was stressing out but Sonic looked at her and began to reassure her. “Hey relax it’s not so bad.”
Izzy then spoke up while looking through the telescope “Woah I’ve never seen an earth pony before… we look exactly the same, except for this of course” Izzy said while pointing at her horn.
She moved over to Sunny who quickly hopped down “Woah! Hey! Careful where you point that thing.” Sunny asked while pushing Izzy’s horn away this caused Izzy to react a little bit.
“Why?” Izzy asked curiously. This was followed up with Sunny’s answer.
“Well.. I uh.. um. Sorta don’t want to get zapped by a wayward laser beam. But of course you know that already.” She chuckled. “You’ve probably been reading my mind this whole time.” She then got curious question. “Isn’t it supposed to glow, by the way? Or does it happen when you levitate stuff?” Sunny asked.
Izzy spoke nervously while chuckling “Well actually” but was then cut off by Sunny.
“Wait! Don’t answer that yet. Let me get my notebook!” As Sunny went to grab her notebook Sonic decided to head upstairs, as much as he would of love to continue to stand there and watch what would happen he just felt like exploring around the place.
Once he arrived, he came across Sunny’s bed which was a little bit of a mess but he took the time to look at his surroundings. One thing that caught his eye were the six pony figures that were on the shelf.
He came up to them and took a look at their features. There was a pink earth pony with puffy hair, an orange earth pony with a hat, a cyan Pegasus with rainbow hair, a yellow Pegasus with a pink mane, a white unicorn with a purple mane and finally what looked to be a mix of both a Pegasus and Unicorn pony who was lavender colour and had a mane with Pink and purple in it.
Sonic was wondering what these six ponies were like and if they truly did exist at some point. But something else also caught his attention. It was a lamp, with what looked to be a crystal inside of it, in the shape of a circle.
He took a look of it before turning it on to see pictures of all three pony kinds everywhere on the walls. Sonic was amazed at how these ponies are so advance to think of these creative items and how they were able make things such as traps.
But all of this amazement went away when he heard a voice come out of nowhere. “Sunny Starscout!” The feedback of the megaphone caused a loud noise which hurt Hitch’s ears.
Sonic quickly looked out the window to see the same two stallions from before, he quickly made his way downstairs to see Sunny looking out the window at Hitch and Sprout.
Hitch then replied a little bit after that. “Sunny Starscout, I know you’re in there with that unicorn and Creature! Come out with your hooves up and surrender!”
Sprout finally spoke up “Yeah you’re completely surrounded!” This was followed by an awkward silence before Hitch replied to what Sprout said.
“Will you let me do my job?” Before yelling back into the megaphone. “You are under arrest!”
Back inside Sunny began to panic a little bit while trying to figure out a plan. “This is bad. How sneaky are you two?” She asked both Izzy and Sonic.
Izzy responded “Uh, medium sneaky?” While Sonic replied with “I could get out of here without them noticing at all.”
Sunny responded happily “I can work with that. Okay, I’ll distract them” but Sonic quickly interjected with that statement. “Look I’ll provide a distraction while you two run as fast as you can.”
“What no, they want you didn’t you hear them?” Sunny asked Sonic. “Yes I know but trust me on this.” after a few seconds Sunny finally nodded while Izzy just smiled.
Sonic finally opened the door and walked out. When he did both Hitch and Sprout were in shock of seeing the same blue hedgehog from before, this made Hitch glare while Sprout cowered in fear.
“Well you know for this worlds version of the police, I can already tell what your planning.” Sonic quipped.
Sprout became terrified of Sonic and grabbed Hitch’s face. “He’s already reading our minds! quick, before he fry’s our brains!” He yelled.
Hitch was now focused on Sprout running away, that he didn’t notice Sunny and Izzy come out of the house and run off with Sonic towards the exit of Maretime Bay.
“W-what are you doing? Where are you going?” Hitch called to Sprout who replied.
“To get reinforcements!”
“We have reinforcements?” But when he finally turned around to look back at where Sonic was he saw that he was gone. “Huh? Oh, come on!” He shouted.
Meanwhile with Sonic, Sunny and Izzy.
“You don’t have any magic?” Sunny asked while panting.
To which responded “Nope.” This caused Sunny to stop running.
“No magic?” Sunny questioned once more still lost in thought
Sonic decided to speak up. “Well apparently they did have it ages ago, but then it suddenly disappeared and hasn’t been found in years.”
“Everypony thinks the pesky pegasi had something to do with it, but…” Izzy then took notice of how Sunny looked “Hey you look kind of woozy. Are you okay?”
“I am on the run with a unicorn who has no magic and a big blue hedgehog with shoes and gloves. What are we gonna do?” While Sunny was trying to think Izzy came up to her and started sniffing her face.
“What are you doing?”
“Why are you sniffing Sunny, Izzy?”
Izzy responded to both of their questions. “You don’t smell.” “Thanks. Wait what?” This caused much confusion between both Sunny and Sonic.
“I was told that all you earth ponies smelt like rotten sardines, but you do not. Hmm.” This caused Sunny to become curious of what Unicorns thought of ponies like herself.
“What else do Unicorns say about Earth ponies?” Izzy responded “Oh, just that you're lazy and not the brightest crystals in the forest.” Sunny then frowned at this.
“Charming.” she said sarcastically.
“Nope, just those three. So, what’s the plan?”
Sonic who had been silent for the most part had an idea pop into his head. “Hey you know how you said that the pegasi apparently stole your magic, right?” Izzy nodded.
“Well why don’t we go to the pegasi and try and figure out how their magic works.” Sunny understanding what he meant agreed with the idea while Izzy was not fully on board.
“Your right. Sonic, Izzy we’re going on a quest…to zephyr heights” She declared while opening her book. Which showed a map of Equestria.
“Uh, but the pegasi are bad news.” Izzy said with uncertainty. Sonic and Sunny both looked at her with confidence.
“Hey Izzy even though I just got here, all I can say is that we never know unless we try.” He stated with confidence.
“Earth ponies were wrong about Unicorns. They could welcome us with open wings.” Sunny said.
“But what if they don’t?” Izzy replied before running up a nearby cliff side and breaking out into song.

“Come on Sonic give it a shot!” Izzy exclaimed.
“Aw, what the heck. Might as well.” Sonic spoke aloud.

All three of them looked on at the big mountain ahead of them where zephyr heights is located. “Well you guys I think we should get some sleep because we’re gonna have a big day tomorrow.” Sonic suggested.
“Yeah your right Sonic.” Sunny said with new found tiredness. All three of them finally layed down on the ground and finally went to sleep, Sonic meanwhile was thinking about everything that’s happened today, and had a smile on his face awaiting Zephyr heights, before finally closing eyes.
After the fiasco that went down earlier that day Hitch and Sprout were inside the station figuring out what to do. Well mostly Hitch, Sprout was doing nothing but that´s beside the point, after talking about arresting Sunny Sprout quickly remembered about the visitor they met earlier.
“Hey Hitch what about that thing we saw before, what was it?” After thinking for a moment Hitch responded.
“That thing is not the main concern sure it helped Sunny but that won´t stop us from getting her.” Hitch exclaimed.
They talked a little bit more about what to do but when Hitch suggested they both go after Sunny, Sprout was too scared to do it and made up some excuses to try and not leave Maretime Bay. This caused Hitch to go by himself while leaving Sprout behind with instructions, to maintain the peace and keep everypony calm. Little did Hitch know that Sprout was not going to be all friendly anymore, before Hitch left Maretime Bay he had one more thought in his head. ‘What was that blue thing, why did it come here?’.
Location: Canyon
Sonic, Sunny and Izzy were all making their way toward zephyr heights after getting some much needed rest from yesterday. They were slowly making their way toward the top of the mountain and they were talking to each other about the situation.
“So Sonic how did you stop the splat-a-pults?” Sunny asked, to which the hedgehog smirked and replied.
“Simple I ran toward those machines and took em down by disabling those spinning wheels.” Sunny and Izzy were both amazed, “But how come you knew to do that?” Izzy questioned.
“Let’s just say between us three right now, I’ve taken care of things similar to those machine too many times to count.”
Both Sunny and Izzy shared a look of disbelief at how Sonic did something so unbelievable but he acted so casual about the whole thing, before Sunny could continue questioning Sonic, Izzy decided to speak up.
“You know not to freak you guys out or anything, but you do know that pegasi can steal your luminescence don’t you?” Both Sonic and Sunny were confused.
“Our lumi- what?” Both quickly exchanged glances at one another before listening to Izzy.
“Luminescence. You know your Sparkle” she looks at both and Sunny before replying
“yours is lavander and yours is Yellow.” Both Sunny and Sonic were confused and looked at themselves before Izzy resumed.
“And the happier you are, the brighter it shines!” before they could continue talking they heard something land above them, they now moved a lot more cautiously being aware that they might not be alone.
Something then swooped behind them causing them to look, it continued from above them until some rocks fell down near them causing the trio to run forward, they looked back to see a figure following them “Hurry guys!” Sonic exclaimed before they stopped at a wall.
Without wasting time Sonic started pushing his friends up before running up to the top himself, after reaching the top he saw Izzy make it while Sunny was still trying to make it, Sunny then looked behind her to see the figure still following them.
But she was so focused on the figure she almost didn’t realise she was slipping off the cliff. “Sunny!” Izzy shouted before Sonic ran up and grabbed Sunny by her hooves pulling her up to safety.
All three of them after a few moments sighed in relief before suddenly a Pegasus shot out from below revealing herself, both Sunny and Izzy screamed and hugged together with Sonic in between who had a very curious face.
The Pegasus them did some tricks climbing up some rocks before landing, afterwards she lifted up one hoof while looking at them with a stern expression. “A real Pegasus” Sunny said with awe “Nice landing” Sonic complimented.
All of a sudden the Pegasus realised what she was seeing in front of her. “Woah a Unicorn, Earth Pony and a Blue hedgehog together!” She exclaimed with surprise. “Finally someone got it!” Sonic said out loud.
Zipp was still in shock before smiling to herself “Well this day just got a whole lot more interesting.”
But then she heard hoofsteps coming towards them and saw two pegasi guards, she then jumped toward the edge of the cliff before looking at the group. “Don’t tell them you saw me.”
“Yes mam.” sonic quipped.
Zipp smiled before jumping down the cliff. “There’s no way we could we don’t even know your name.” Izzy yelled before smiling, she then turned toward both Sonic and Sunny
“she seems nice.” then they heard a scream and looked behind them to see the pegasi guards looking at them with nervous expressions.
“Thunder get it together!” the blue one said. “But, but that’s and earth pony.” the blue Pegasus then replied.
“Their harmless and have really tiny brains.” this caused Sunny to frown, they then turned their attention toward Izzy who was Smiling with her mouth opened wide.
“What do we do about that!” The green one asked “Well did you bring the shield?” “what shield?” This caused the blue Pegasus to look at her partner “Didn’t you read the guard guide!” she asked. “Yes!… okay no.” this caused a groan to come from the blue Pegasus.
“Fine I got this.” she said flaring her wings walking toward them.
“Wait, wait, wait, wait. You know it’s kinda of weird you’re walking towards us like that so I have a question?… are you a Racist?” Sonic asked.
“What no, I’m just a guard. What even are you?” Sonic then facepalmed “Here we go right back to sqaure one.”
Location: Zephyr Heights Elevator
They were now all in an elevator Izzy had tennis ball on her horn while Sonic and Sunny were just standing idly by waiting. “That’s creative” Izzy commented.
Sunny then began asking questions to one of the guards while Sonic decided to get his phone out and listen to some music on his own.
It was all interrupted when the blue Pegasus spoke “Hey, hey, hey, hey, don’t answer anything. They could be spies.”
After that happened Sonic then looked out the window with both Sunny and Izzy in tow looking outside admiring the view of the city then on one of the big screens a news channel started up.
“Good morning Zephyr Heights, it’s another beautiful day in the big city. Looks like warm breezes and clear skies, for tonight’s royal celebration!”
“Royal celebration? Ha! Talk about good timing!” Izzy exclaimed.
“Tonight’s royal bash for queen haven will be stunning, but the real jewel in the crown will be Princess Pipp’s performance.”
“Wow with a name like that she must have a song called Drip, Drip, Drip. Which will either make you think of something very naughty or a bad tribute act to Wet, Wet, Wet!” Sonic expressed with a chuckle getting a laugh out of both Sunny and Izzy and even a small chuckle from the guards.
“This just in, an exclusive vid from Pipp. For all you loyal fans out there in ZH” it then switched to a video. “What is up, everypony. Big shout-out to all my fans the Pipsqueaks.”
“At this rate she could write a novel and still be relevant.” Sonic quipped once again getting a laugh from his friends.
“So tonight’s the night, I can’t wait to debut my new song later. It has a very special place in my heart, but not as much as you guys! Ok, guys I love you lots. Got to go. Pipp, Pipp, hooray.”
The guards and Izzy yelled what Pipp said even Sonic said it as well for his own amusement.
They then arrived at the top and proceeded out the elevator. “Move it.” the guard demanded “You betcha.” Izzy replied they began moving forward, Sunny took note of all the pegasi not flying and began questioning it.
“Hey guys isn’t weird that no pony is flying?” Sunny asked.
“Now that you say it Sunny I’m starting to notice it as well.” The conversation was short lived as it was interrupted by their Unicorn friend. “They have a castle!” They looked upwards to see in fact that there was a huge castle in front of them.
Location: Zephyr Heights Castle
They entered through the doors to the throne room to see more guards marching while still be escorted by both the green and blue Pegasus. “Wow” Izzy awed
“You know for royalty I’m actually impressed.” Sonic praised.
“Now before our queen” the green Pegasus announced. Trumpets started playing causing the trio to look forward in curiosity, Sonic then leaned over to the green Pegasus and whispered to him
“You don’t get paid enough do you, because that was very good.” The guard looked at Sonic with a small smile before getting back into position.
Everything became silent as the guards kneeled down and the trumpets stopped playing, the trio looked toward the front to see a little fluffy, white dog with wings walk out in front.
This confused both Sunny and Sonic. “Your majesty!” Izzy exclaimed before kneeling making Sonic smile and Sunny confused. Then lights came on as the dog stood up and started barking upwards causing the group to look up and see 3 pegasi fly downwards.
The one on the left was Pipp who talked earlier on the big screen who was currently scrolling on her phone, the one in the middle had sunglasses on and was the mother from what they could tell, and on the right was the same Pegasus that they met when they first arrived.
Izzy, Sunny and Sonic all leaned over, Izzy waved at her “Hi new friend!” The Pegasus then looked at them before having a worried look and shaking her head at them this caused the group to zip their mouths and nod before returning to their normal spots.
“Guards, state your business, and please make it quick. We’re on a very tight schedule today.” She stated.
“Like that one rockstar game that everyone wants.” Sonic quipped while looking at the royals.
“Before the celebration, Cloudpuff needs his pedicure, Pipp needs to rehearse and I need to practise my laugh. AhHa Ha Ha Ha! Hm still not right.” The guards then spoke up.
“Your highness, we found these intruders in our territory.” The queen took her sunglasses off to then gasp at what she saw.
“An earth pony, a Unicorn and a Blue Porcupine in Zephyr Heights!” This caused Sonic to groan loudly
“We’re seriously doing this same stchick every time I go somewhere aren’t we.” Sonic said to himself.
“We have them under control, your highness” the blue Pegasus stated. “And we deployed the shield.” The green Pegasus stated.
“Is this an attack on the night of our royal celebration? Why are you here? Who sent you?” Sonic responded quickly.
“Okay listen chill out I know this looks bad but first, lay of the Drugs please, secondly we came here because we want to go sightseeing, and finally that laugh was kinda solid six out of ten for sure.” The queen smiled a little bit at the compliment but continued to stress.
“Nopony must know that they’re here.” But the sound of a phone broke the tension.
“Check it out Pippsqueaks, live from the castle. It’s a real Unicorn, Earth Pony and Blue Porcupine.”She turned the phone toward the group causing everyone to gasp.
“They are never gonna get it right are they.” Sonic said deadpanned.
“This is so not a filter.” Pipp continued. “Pipp! There’s nothing to fear. Those nasty little ponies and Porcupine have been captured your queen will protect you.” Sonic’s blood was boiling from them continually calling him something else.
“Shut it off” The queen ordered.
Sonic finally snapped “FOR THE LOVE OF YOUR MOTHER CAN YOU GET IT RIGHT FOR ONCE!!!” Sonic yelled angrily catching everyone off guard including Pipp.
Everyone in the room now looked at Sonic who was panting a bit after yelling so much he looked up to see all the eyes in the room looking at him “Sorry about that. But it’s really infuriating when you call me a different species.” Sonic explained.
Sunny finally decided to speak up “Excuse me, majesty. We only like to ask you a few questions about magic.” This caused the queen to snap toward the group’s direction.
“Guards! Please escort these ponies and porcupine to the dungeon, until I can question them properly. And confiscate the book.” Sonic then facepalmed loud enough for a small echo to travel across the room.
“What? No, no” Sunny protested but the guard took her journal. “But-but your majesty, I just wanted to ask you a few questions, please.” All pleas from her were met with the queen ignoring them. They were then being escorted to the dungeons.
“Did she just say dungeons?” Izzy asked rhetorically.
“Well this sucks” Sonic commented.
“What else could go wrong today?” Sunny asked herself.
Meanwhile
“It is I Sheriff Sprout.” Sprout exclaimed. “Sheriff? where’s Hitch?”
“We need a real Sheriff.”
“Tell us what’s going on!”
“Hitch would know what to do!”
A bunch of ponies were asking a bunch of questions about yesterday and of where Hitch is. Sprout tried to calm the tension but to no avail, worry started growing rapidly which then lead to some earth ponies mentioning the Unicorns coming back to attack.
“Actually, what if you’re all right? The Unicorns could come back, they could even bring the Pegasi, we are all in danger!” This caused everyone to gasp.
Sprout:Now, is not the time to be complacent We should do something

“Something is not right. We haven’t seen a single pony flying, except the royal family.” Sunny spoke aloud. She then noticed that both Sonic and Izzy weren’t really paying any attention to what she had said.
“Izzy, Sonic are you listening?” She looked back at them. Sonic was looking at Izzy with an amused face due to her sitting in a chair that was vibrating, she was also wearing cucumber slices on her eyes.
“This isn’t dungeony at all.” Izzy said to no one in particular. Sunny smiled at this and began to realise Izzy was right, there was a fountain in the middle of the room, a chandelier on the ceiling and a nice big bed with pink covers, ‘how could this be a dungeon’ Sunny thought to herself.
Sonic looked at Sunny with an amused smile before finally speaking “you know that we’ll be out of here soon right?” Sonic asked Sunny to which she replied. “Not really because we have no way out of this room and the whole place is highly secured, from what I can tell.”
Sonic quickly gave a small chuckle before lifting up his arm with his hand in the air. “Well then Alakazam.” Sonic stated before snapping his fingers.
“Hey! I’m sorry you three got locked up here, but I have to talk to you.” A new voice called to them, the trio turned toward the source of who talked. To see none other than the first Pegasus they had met ever since arriving at Zephyr Heights.
“Princess?” Sunny asked.
“Your majesticness. Y-your grateful highness.” Izzy continued stuttering until she was stopped by the Pegasus.
“Zipp. Just call me Zipp.” She added quickly reassuring Izzy.
“Ok, Zipp I’m Sunny, and these are my friends.” Sunny stated.
“Izzy Moonbow.” She said in a low voice.
“I’m Sonic, Sonic the Hedgehog.” Sonic said with a smirk plastered on his face once more.
“Sunny, Izzy, Sonic, I really need to ask you something important. About magic.” she whispered the last bit.
“That’s why we’re here. Maybe you can tell us how yours works? Izzy has no idea how the unicorns lost theirs. So we thought maybe-“ She was cut off by Zipp.
“Whoa, whoa, whoa, wait. Lost theirs? As in no magic?” She asked with curiosity, to which the trio shook their heads at Zipp causing realisation to come to her head.
“Well, that changes things. Listen, I might have some information that could help, but you need to tell me about this.” She then pulls out from her wing Sunny’s Journal.
“My journal thank you, Zipp. I thought I never see it again.” Sunny beamed with hope and new found trust toward the royal Pegasus.
“Yeah I can be pretty sneaky when I want to be.” Zipp replied with confidence.
“Like stealing cookies from the cookie jar.” Sonic quipped bringing a snicker from the group.
“So where did it come from?” Zipp asked refocusing on the task at hand.
“It was my father’s. Why?” Sunny asked a bit confused.
“That star…” Zipp couldn’t finish the thought as a fanfare, came from down the hall to reveal two guards, holding their phones out with trumpet symbols on the screens.
The guards rolled down a red carpet for Princess Pipp, who began making her way down toward the main group but stopped when she saw Zipp.
“Zipp what are you doing here? Mom said to stay away.” She said with a sneer causing Zipp to smirk.
“Right. Then why are you here? Zipp asked with slight sarcasm.
“For the content.” Pipp scoffed while pulling her phone out.
Sonic decided to finally speak up. “Hey princess. I have to ask you a few questions if that’s ok with you?” Pipp responded without a care in the world. “Go ahead.” Sonic smirked.
“Okay so my first question is do you know your animal species? And two why isn’t anyone flying?” The second question is what caught Pipp off guard she became very nervous and turned toward the group to respond.
“Everypony knows that only royals can fly, of course.” Pipp said while still being nervous, Sonic caught on to her nervous look but decided to not say anything.
“What?!” Both Sunny and Izzy responded.
“I know, it’s not fair, but that’s just the way it is. If there was some way we could teach the citizens to fly, you know we would do it in a wing-beat. Right Zipp?” Pipp looked at her sister waiting for an anwser.
“Yeah. In a wing-beat.” Zipp replied with sarcasm and a deadpanned expression. While Sunny and Izzy looked at each other Sonic had a small scowl on his face aimed towards Pipp. He had been thinking in his head about how she never understood what it’s like for life to not be fair.
His expression went unnoticed by almost everyone except for Zipp who was little concerned for why he was doing it.
Suddenly Pipp’s phone started buzzing causing her to quickly grab it from her wing. “Oh dress rehersals. Gotta go. And so should you.” She said while whispering to Zipp the last part.
“Me-me-me!” She said in a singsong voice before trotting back down the hall. “Red feather, Yellow feather, Red feather, Yellow feather…” she continued down until she was gone causing Zipp to look back at the group.
“I have to show you something.” She explained, before she put her hoof on a scanner and opened up the cell. “You coming or what?” Zipp called, causing Sunny to follow. Sonic quickly stopped Izzy and pointed at the fruit bowl with a grin, which caused her to giggle before replacing the tennis ball with an orange by swapping them. They then proceeded to follow Zipp and Sunny.
Location: Canyon
Out in the canyon there were two bunnies casually roaming around, before a hoof came up and revealed Hitch who had been climbing, the bunnies ran away in fear before coming back to see Hitch.
Hitch then gasped at something he saw. “Litter.” He then quickly corrected himself when he saw it was one of Sunny’s stickers “I mean a clue.” He looked around for a little bit before finding a stick with a blue string on it. “Hmm. Unicorn hair.” He proceeded forward before finding something on the ground again, he picked up the newly found feather and licked it. “Peagasi.” He then quickly put his head on the floor to find some tracks. “Tracks gone cold.” He whispered.
“Sunny, Sunny, Sunny, Sunny. You think you’ve escaped? Well think again.” He began before continuing his speech. “I will not eat, I will not sleep… Well maybe a quick nap and a snack if I can’t find you in the next few hours. But after that, nothing will stop me!” He finished with pride and a smile.
Then there was some cheering causing Hitch to look at the dozens of bunnies clapping theirs ears together. “Oh, thank you. Thank you. No, no. You’re to kind. Also…” he continued his speech with an encore, most of the bunnies stopped cheering to listen except for one who was them shushed by another bunny.
“I’ll follow you wherever you go. Whether harshest deserts, the coldest tundras, no trail to dangerous, no clue too small.” He continued to trail off while the clouds behind him slowly disappeared causing the bunnies to start getting his attention.
“The past matters not! It’s justice…” he then noticed the bunnies getting his attention causing him to groan after they ruined his in depth speech.
“Oh, what? What?” He asked a little annoyed. The bunnies then pointed their ears behind causing Hitch to turn around and look at the mugshots of Sunny, Izzy and Sonic.
Sunny looked unhappy, Izzy had a big grin and Sonic made a funny face. Hitch smiled with confidence. “Gotcha.”
Location: Zephyr Heights Station
A metal grate slid open revealing the group of ponies and hedgehog looking down at the room below, Zipp jumped down and landed before looking back up at the group. “Watch your step.” Both Sunny and Izzy jumped down to where Zipp was while Sonic landed in while tucked into a ball making his fall a lot softer.
“That’s a nice trick you have there Sonic.” Zipp complimented.
“Thanks.” Sonic responded with a smile. But behind it was the same scowl he had worn when looking at Pipp. Zipp could still see it was there but decided not to question it for now.
Zipp then pushed down a lever which caused the platform they were on to descend in a big room, this caused Sunny, Izzy and Sonic to look on in awe at the place they were at.
“Where are we?” Sunny asked still in awe of the place.
“It’s amazing, right? I’m pretty sure it was some sort of station, for when earth ponies and unicorns used to visit Zephyr Heights.” Zipp explained.
Sunny walked over toward a portrait of Maretime Bay and put her hoof on it removing some of the dust. “It’s like everypony just forgot.” Sunny guessed.
She then looked upwards to see a picture of a forest known as Bridlewood which showed one pony of each kind. “This is proof. All ponykinds did use to be friends! My dad was right.” Sunny exclaimed while looking at Izzy.
The sight brought a smile to Sonic’s face seeing just how peaceful and quiet this world is, this made feel a little sad though as he thought back to when he was young and had to stop Dr. Eggman from taking over the world for the first time, and ever since then he never had peace in his life and ever since Eggman’s most recent scheme of causing the Metal Virus he had just about enough of Eggman but decided to not do anything to him. This only made Sonic more irritated at Pipp who took her peace in life for granted and caused him slightly growl to himself.
Sunny and Izzy looked at Sonic and noticed his new look of sadness and irritation that clouded him, this confused them both and made them concerned for how Sonic was feeling at that moment.
Before they could do that, they noticed Zipp who was looking at another portrait, this time on some pegasi that wore blue suits with yellow stripes around their heads, with some headgear covering their eyes.
The group walked toward Zipp to which Sunny commented. “Must be really weird, being the only pegasi that can fly.” Zipp sighed in disappointment of how she really hated not telling them the truth about herself and her family, but she finally let it go.
“The truth is, we can’t fly either. We’ve been faking it.” Zipp admitted finally not having to deal with the guilt she had inside of her. The group sans Sonic gasped at the revelation of the royal family not being able to fly, while Sonic was not too shocked as he could see through Pipp’s lies the moment he asked that question from before.
“Faking it? But-But how?” Sunny asked with shock evident in her voice.
“You’d be surprised what some wires and good lighting will do. But I’m just so tired of living that ridiculous lie. That’s why I come down here-to get away from all of that.” She explained getting the guilt of her chest before continuing. “And… Well to do this.” Zipp ran and jumped onto a lever which caused a fan to turn on, she spread her wings open which lifted her upwards into the air she then flew backwards doing a flip before flying back toward the room.
Sunny, Izzy and Sonic watched happily seeing Zipp having fun with her flight. “Now that’s what I call fun!” Sonic exclaimed with excitement.
Zipp then smiled with happiness filling her to the core. “Her sparkle is so bright right now!” Izzy commented.
Zipp flew back down to the ground and looked at the group. “But that’s not why I brought you down here. This is what I wanted to show you.” Zipp pointed upwards to reveal a big purple star with five miniature stars surrounding it on a stained glass making the group stare in awe once more.
“Oh, my stars.” Sunny said before looking at her journal to see the exact same Star on the cover. “This was made a long, long time ago, when we still had magic.” Zipp explained.
“It’s beautiful!” Izzy commented. Sunny looked around the stained glass before seeing a Pegasus on the stained glass with a crystal above it that was shaped to look like wings. “What is that?” Sunny asked full of curiosity.
“That’s the Pegasus crystal. It’s part of my mom’s crown.” Zipp explained. Sonic stepped forward and looked at the opposite side noticing a unicorn in a similar position as the Pegasus but above it there was nothing but broken glass.
“Hmm. Where is the unicorn crystal?” Sonic asked both himself and Zipp, he got no response and decided to look around and found some of the sun’s light bouncing off something that was hidden under some material, he made his way over and pull the material off to reveal what looked to be another crystal this time shaped to be like a unicorns horn.
He grabbed it and walked back toward the others who were watching him with curiosity and wonder, he then put it on the ground and slid it toward the reflection of the Pegasus crystal from the sun, he then connected it together with realisation hitting him and the others like a bullet train.
“Look!” Sonic pointed out to them.
“They fit?” Izzy questioned with surprise.
“These two crystals belong together. United.” Sonic explained with Optimism giving him a conclusion to their current predicament.
“So what are you saying?” Zipp asked a bit confused. Sonic then ran forward and looked up at the stained glass before looking back at the group.
“Maybe you lost your magic because the crystals were separated!” Sonic answered.
“So if we put them back together…” Izzy started.
“Magic will return.” Zipp continued.
“And all three ponykinds will get along again!” Sunny concluded.
“Exactly!” Sonic stated. Both Izzy and Zipp cheered until Zipp realised something. “But what about the unicorn crystal?” She asked with worry but Izzy put her worries to rest.
“Well if your looking for crystals. We’ve got, like, a gazillion of them back in Bridlewood.” Izzy explained calming Zipp down.
“Then that’s where we go next. After we get the Pegasus crystal from your mom, of course.” Sonic stated.
“Ooh that’ll be tricky. She never takes her crown off.” Zipp explained causing Sonic to think of all the things she does with her crown on her head the entire time, which made him feel uncomfortable.
“For a someone like your mom who doesn’t respect us three and allows this stuff to happen she does a pretty good job at keeping her crown safe.” Sonic complimented.
“So what do we do?” Sunny asked.
“I got it! Pipp’s performing at tonight’s royal celebration. All eyes will be on her, especially my mom’s. She’ll be distracted. So we just need to swap the real crown with a fake.” Zipp explained with confidence that beamed brightly around her.
“Ooh, I can make a decoy! But I will need a box of macaroni, a tube of glue, 14 gooey bunnies and three jellybeans. Oh, and glitter. Lots of glitter.” Izzy exclaimed with confidence brewing off her as well.
Before Zipp could explain anything else, her along with Sunny and Izzy felt a huge gust of wind go by them. They looked around them to find Sonic was gone but as soon as they blinked they felt the wind go by them again, they turned towards where it went only to find Sonic with a few bags with all of the supplies they needed.
This shocked the three ponies but mostly Zipp, Sonic looked at them with a smirk. “Don’t worry guys, we’ve got everything we need.” Sonic said calmly.
The three ponies continued to stare for a few more second before finally returning to normal and walking over to Sonic. “How did you do that!?” Zipp asked Sonic with shock flooding her voice.
“That’s just what life gives you excitement, fun and adventure.” Sonic stated with high optimism.
“We’ll that’s good, but now we need to talk about the plan of what to do.” Zipp told them, they huddled up and allowed Zipp to explain the plan.
After discussing the plan they all nodded before finally making their way toward the platform they had arrived in minutes earlier, but Sonic stopped and looked back out at the scenery that was on the other side of glass still acknowledging the peace that was emanating from the clear blue sky.
He smiled with warmth filling his heart but he then frowned at the thought of Pipp who had been taking her peaceful fake life for granted, it caused him to growl once more this time it was heard by Zipp who quickly told Sunny and Izzy to meet her at the platform, they did so while Zipp slowly walked towards Sonic who had his arms crossed.
After a few seconds she finally spoke up. “Hey, are you okay?” She asked with concern, the blue hedgehog looked back at her and then replied. “Not really and it’s nothing to do with you… it’s mostly to do with Pipp.” He stated with slight irritation.
Zipp was a little surprised before continuing to talk to him. “What’s wrong with my sister?” She asked with a little concern, this caused Sonic to sigh and continue to explain. “It’s just that she seems to love living this fake, peaceful life she has and doesn’t care about how anyone else feels.”
He paused for a moment looking at Zipp’s surprised face before he progressed with his words. “With her living this way, she’ll never understand how some other creatures or ponies live their lives for example me who has to stop an arch nemesis almost every other week, at first I really enjoyed it cause it gave me excitement. But after his most recent scheme of causing an apocalypse it scarred me. I wanted to stop him permanently by locking him away for good. But I just couldn’t do it and I let him go free, he hasn’t attacked in awhile but I fear that whatever he does next will be worst.” Sonic explained to Zipp who had been paying close attention to what he had been talking about.
“This is my problem with Pipp right now she takes her peaceful life for granted and doesn’t have a second thought about what could happen if something went horribly wrong, you understand where I’m coming from right? Sonic finished while asking Zipp.
“Yeah… I see what you mean. Is there anything else you would like to talk about?” Sonic looked at her with a small smile before answering her question.
“I’ll tell you some more later. Right now we have a heist to pull off!” Sonic exclaimed with his optimism returning, Zipp smiled at Sonic not being upset.
Sonic looked back at Zipp before saying one last thing for the moment. “Thank you Zipp.” He said with a smile.
“Zipp smiled back at him. “Your welcome, Sonic.” The two of them looked toward the platform and jogged to it rejoining with Sunny and Izzy. Before the platform got to its height Sonic has one last thought in his head. ‘I do hope Pipp soon changes how she acts with her life cause eventually she’ll learn, one or another.’ The thought repeated in his mind.
They eventually reached the top and made their exit to get ready to execute the plan.
Hours had passed since the group had come up with the plan, but now was the time to take action, they were all in elevator ready to execute the plan but the Elevator was moving a bit slow giving the group the chance to talk to each other.
Zipp smiled with confidence. “Alright are you guys ready!”
“Yeah!” The rest of the group yelled.
“Y know you could make a leader to a team right?” Sonic told Zipp who smiled at him in return. “Yeah you are correct there, Sonic but I’d rather take orders from somepony else.” Sonic flashed a smile toward the group, before realising they were near the top.
“Okay this is the bit where it get’s serious!” Sonic thought out loud, making the others nod in agreement.
They finally reached the top and prepared to move out. “Let’s hope this works.” Sunny whispered. The doors opened allowing Zipp to walk down the path, a bunch of other pegasi were asking Zipp questions to which she ignored them and smirked while looking behind her.
Sunny, Izzy and Sonic poked their heads out and looked left and right to make sure that it was safe to sneak across, when they realised it was safe they quickly darted out toward the right.
They climbed on top of a statue and looked down to see some guards, they quickly got down behind a hedge and peeked around the corner to see Zipp walk inside. They then made it through past the guards to the Grand Hall, where they saw two guards standing by with one of them on their phone.
They quickly his under a table with accessories on top of it and quickly sneaked away from the guards, they ended following Zipp who opened a door to the backstage of the throne room, allowing the trio to quickly enter without being spotted.
Once they were behind the throne, they looked around the corner and noticed lot’s of pegasi around which made them nervous, Sonic decided to try and lighten up the mood. “This is going great so far.” Sunny and Izzy nodded at this.
“Well now we just gotta get that crown and we’re home free!” Izzy exclaimed with excitement, causing Sunny and Sonic to shush her. Now all they had to do was wait.
Location: Zephyr Heights Throne Room Balcony
Zipp looked down at the room below with slight concern of the plan going wrong but decided to not worry about it.
“I hear you payed our guests a little visit.” Queen Haven piped up, Zipp looked toward her mom with surprise.
“Pipp told you?” Zipp questioned which cause a slight chuckle to come from her mom. “Oh you know she tells me everything. I wish you’d tell me more, your going to be queen one day, you’ll wear this crown and trust me it’s heavier than it looks.” Haven explained with slight annoyance.
Zipp looked at her mother who was applying makeup and decided to come truthful. “Actually there is something I wanted to tell you. The unicorns don’t have any magic, I think it’s tide to why we can’t fly-“ but she was cut off.
“Zepherina! I don’t know what silly ideas that Unicorn put into your head, but we have a duty to protect our Citizens. Pegasi are happy enough knowing we royals can fly, why would you want to disrupt things?” Haven asked.
“Cause it’s a lie!” Zipp exclaimed with frustration.
Haven was still disappointed in Zipp. “It makes them feel safe, oh one day you’ll understand your sister does, oh here she is now!” She expressed with excitement.
“Mememe.” Pipp sung while hanging from her wires.
“Showtime!” Haven said in a singsong voice.
Location: Zephyr Heights Throne Room
The entire room went dark with the pegasi looking upwards stuck in awe, music started to play for everyone to hear. Haven and Zipp were lowered down for everyone to see.
“Remember to smile.” Haven said causing Zipp to groan, they ended up landing on their thrones with Zipp looking at her friends, who were hiding behind queen haven’s throne.
The group nodded to one another before Pipp finally started singing.
Pipp:
We got the Light, We’re coming in stronger, We’re in it together, If you want it It’s all inside your mind
Pipp was flying around the room with Pegasi looking in awe at the display.
we got the light, we won’t wait any longer, we’ll get it together, if you want you can paint the sky
The trio were trying hold each other up for support in order to get the crown, Sonic found the beat catchy and started tapping his foot in time with the song.

Sunny managed to change the queen’s crown with no problem, she looked at Zipp who looked back at her and they both nodded. The trio started sneaking away from the throne, without noticing the Cloudpuff who perked up.
Everytime I fall down, I pick it up like rebound, gotta get through somehow
The group made their way toward a set of doors and opened them. Which showed a guard on the phone telling someone to hang up, they closed door before hearing a whimper behind them.
They turned around to see Cloudpuff standing there, he then growled at them causing Sunny and Izzy to scream while Sonic looked slightly annoyed.
Sunny and Izzy ran while Sonic grabbed Cloudpuff and gently grabbed his muzzle.
We don’t fly like we used to, we take what we’ve been through, and we can feel brand-new, oh-hoo
Sonic continued to hold Cloudpuff but let him go because of some guards coming his way, Sonic quickly navigated his way toward where Sunny and Izzy went, only to find Cloudpuff had already taken the crystal.
I know I am a fighter, I feel the fire, I’m shining brighter, ooh-hoo-hoo
Sonic followed after Sunny and Izzy, while Hitch burst right through the door only to look up and see Pipp flying.

Hitch started shaking his flank to the song, before focusing back on his task of catching Sunny, meanwhile the trio chased after Cloudpuff but they then dashed behind a wall, after some guards moved in front of them.

Zipp looked down to see Cloudpuff with the crown in his mouth, she quickly moved down to take it. “Give it to me!” Demanded Zipp who took the crown but not the crystal.
if it doesn’t feel right, break it in with tie dye, and don’t you stop ‘til sunrise, we don’t fly like we use to, we take what we’ve been through, and we can feel brand-new, ooh-hoo-hoo
Zipp chased Cloudpuff while Pipp continued to sing, the group looked forward to see Hitch who looked towards them and started advancing, the trio looked around before moving backwards.
They ended up behind some curtains but looked to their side to see a Pegasus near a control panel who had terrified face, “Ah! It’s the prisoners!” he began running from Sunny and Izzy while Sonic went up to the control panel with interest.

Cloudpuff continued running with the crystal still in his mouth with Zipp still in tow, but she ended up getting blocked by another Pegasus. Cloudpuff then ran into a leg dropping the crystal.
He looked up to see Hitch who looked down in confusion, only to see an adorable face appear before him.
Sunny and Izzy managed to corner the Pegasus trying to calm him down, while Sonic looked at the control panel he needed to cause a distraction otherwise their whole plan would fail.
He then pressed down a button, which caused the lights in the throne room to flicker on and off causing confusion amongst everyone. “What the…” Pipp asked herself.
All of a sudden a light beamed down onto Hitch who stopped dead in his tracks, he looked around to see that all eyes were on him. He then started to try and sing Pipp’s song which went… well…
Hitch:Throwing up find a glove fly around, bup-bup-bup, doing stuff that I love, you’re like, “Why?” I’m like “what?”
Sunny, Izzy and the Pegasus looked at the screen with confusion, while Sonic has an amused face watching Hitch sing, Pipp continued to stare in confusion. “what is happening?”
Crisp and Dry, eat some mud, flowing up lovey dove…
Hitch continued to sing with Cloudpuff joining in with him, Sonic realised that this was not working all that well and began looking for a solution, he then pulled a lever on the controls which caused Pipp to start flying all over the place while screaming.
This caused Hitch and the rest of the Pegasi to look up in shock, while this was happening Zipp took the opportunity to take the crystal and make her way toward the others.
The Pegasus ran away while the group made their way out. “I got it!” Zipp exclaimed. Sunny grabbed the crystal and put it away in her saddlebag, “Let’s go!” Sonic chuckled.
They began making their way out before they heard a voice. “Freeze!” Hitch yelled from afar causing them to look toward him. “It’s the the prisoners!” A Pegasus blurted.
Pipp then came down and knocked Hitch’s fake wings off causing everyone to gasp. “Another earth pony!” Hitch quickly ran out of sight.
Pipp continued to zoom around before finally stopping, hanging upside down for all to see the wires, this caused a commotion to start.
“She’s a fake!” One exclaimed. “Fake!” Many more yelled which caused terror to fill Pipp’s face. Pictures were being taken as well.
Zipp looked back with a conflict going through her head, what was she supposed to do. “Zipp?” Pipp said loud enough for her sister to hear, before Zipp could do anything Sunny bumped into her.
“Zipp hurry!” Sunny exclaimed with worry, Zipp took one last look at Pipp before running off not noticing the crystal that was dropped on the floor, Sonic was following behind the group and noticed the crystal on the floor.
He grabbed it before looking up and calling out to the ponies. “Hey, guys you dropped this!” He quickly looked between the exit and the crystal before turning to look at Pipp, who was hanging there helpless.
He took another glance at the door before looking back at Pipp with a determined look. He may not like how Pipp acted with her Life, but in Sonic’s mind anyone deserves a second chance, even if they continually try to take over the world.
He put the Crystal into his quills, before running toward a wall to which he jumped and landed on the it, before blasting himself toward Pipp at high speeds, successfully grabbing her and landing where Queen Haven was sitting.
Everyone in the room was caught of guard, including Pipp and Queen Haven who stared in shock of the Blue Hedgehog who stood before them, the pegasi then began making their way toward the royals and Hegdehog yelling words like ‘fake’ and ‘liars’.
The three of them looked at the crowd coming toward them, Sonic was thinking of what to do but all of a sudden a bright light enveloped Sonic and the two royals.
They were then gone from sight making everyone look around in terror, Zoom and Thunder who watched the scene unfold looked at one another before Thunder decided to break the tension.
“That hedgehog was right, we’re definitely not getting paid enough for this job.” Zoom looked back at the crowd of pegasi before sighing.
Outside the throne room a bright light appeared and flashed before disappearing revealing Sonic, Pipp and Queen Haven, who were a little bit dazed from what happened.
After regaining their bearings the three looked around, seeing no guards anywhere in sight. They were most likely back in the throne room they had just escaped from.
Queen Haven then looked at the Blue Hedgehog with anger, and walked up to him before tapping him on the shoulder, he quickly turned to face her with a grin plastered on his face.
She took a deep breath before talking. “What did you do? Your suppose to be locked up, why did you ruin the celebration?” She complained still filled with anger. Sonic looked at her and Pipp before looking behind him making sure if any guards were nearby.
“Listen lady, We didn’t intend to ruin your special Celebration but, if you want anyone to blame give it to your dog.” Sonic lectured while grinning.
Pipp was left in shock before marching up to Sonic, grabbing him with her hooves and staring him dead in the eyes full of anger. “You rodent, you’ve ruined everything now everypony knows we can’t fly!” Sonic started chuckling.
“Well it’s not my fault you are terrible at lying, and secondly I could of left you both back there, but I didn’t cause you know why?” He questioned, causing both of them to look on with curious stares.
Sighing Sonic looked at them both. “It’s because I believe in second chances, and You can be redeemed if you play your cards right!” Sonic explained.
The moment was interrupted when the doors busted open revealing some of the guards who looked at the group. “Get them!” A guard blurted causing the others to charge.
The three escapees began running for their lives, hoping to get away.
Queen haven wanted to command them but knew it was futile, she quickly looked at Sonic and Pipp before filling herself with determination. “Although I don’t know you, I trust that you get my daughter to safety!” Pipp was shocked while Sonic was pleased that she was already turning over a new leaf.
Sonic grabbed Pipp’s forehoof and was ready to continue running before he was stopped. “One last thing before you go… who are you?” Haven asked while still running. Sonic smirked at her.
“Im Sonic, Sonic the Hedgehog!” He stated before running of with Pipp who yelped, Haven turned around and focused back on the guards who were getting closer, she had buy them time to escape, withtout hesitation she ran forward toward them. ‘Sonic, what an interesting name.’ She thought before finally colliding with the guards.
Sonic was running while holding Pipp’s hoof tightly to ensure she didn’t get left behind, Pipp didn’t know what to say about the Blue Hedgehog, she still was angry with him for what had happened earlier, but she didn’t say anything about it at that moment.
“Well, well, well, its starting to look like the rush hour!” Sonic chuckled with excitement, Pipp looked behind her to see guards following them with stern looks.
“They’re on our tail!” Pipp yelled with worry, she looked at Sonic who seemed to be enjoying the chase, making her more confused and frustrated with the Hedgehog. They then saw guards in front of them moving at a fast pace.
Pipp looked at Sonic with a terrified look, “Why aren’t you slowing down!” She cried with fear evident in her voice, Sonic looked back at her with the same smirk he’s been holding throughout the chase.
“Because what’s a good chase without excitement!” He exclaimed. Before Pipp knew it she was thrown up into the air, she began screaming at the top of her lungs, this caused all the guards to stop and watch with terror.
But Sonic quickly hopped over them and managed to catch Pipp before she landed, he began holding her bridal style moving quickly through the halls of the castle. He managed to keep his distance from the guards while holding the shaken up Pipp in his arms.
After a while they managed to get outside, but the guards were still hot on their trail, but were a good amount of distance away doing whatever they could to catch them both, Sonic ran along the path toward the elevator he gave Pipp a look of reassurance which made her smile a little bit.
Sonic looked back the elevator only to see some guards blocking it, causing him to stop he realised that they needed another escape option. “What can we do now they’ve blocked our exit!” Pipp blurted out, causing Sonic to assess their surroundings.
He then saw a tall building in the distance that was behind the elevator, which gave him an idea. He adjusted his grip on Pipp. “Listen I got an idea, but your gonna have to trust me okay!” Sonic explained causing Pipp to look at him in bewilderment.
“Why should I trust you?” Pipp scoffed, causing Sonic to groan. “You got a better idea?” Pipp looked around once more before realising she had no choice. “No.”
Sonic smirked and began readying himself for his plan. “You ready?” Pipp slowly nodded reluctantly, Sonic was ready to go for it. “Here we… GO!!!” He yelled before finally blasting forward at high speeds, Pipp was too stunned to say anything. Sonic firmly placed his feet on the ground and jumped above the guards onto the elevator, to which he then jumped from and went flying off the mountain.
Pipp was screaming the whole way as she never fallen from such a height before, Sonic filled with determination landed onto the building before running down it at high speed leaving a blue trail behind, Pipp had stopped screaming and just watched in awe of how fast they were moving.
Sonic then slowed down, to which he jumped from the wall of the building to another building that was in front of him, he began repeating his wall jumps until he landed firmly on the ground.

He put the very shaken Pipp down on the ground and began checking If they were safe, Pipp only looked forward unable to move from her position still dazed from what she had just experienced.
After a few more seconds of checking the area, Sonic looked back at Pipp with small smile glad that they made it out, Pipp finally snapped out of her frozen position and turned toward the hedgehog.
“What was that!” She complained with a hint of anger, Sonic started laughing catching Pipp off guard. “Why are you laughing about this, that wasn’t very funny!” She yelled.
Sonic stopped laughing and looked at her. “Listen, Princess I’ve done things like that before. Heck I’ve dealt with things crazier than this.” He explained, making Pipp even more confused and frustrated.
Sonic then remembered the others and began jogging down the alleys of the city streets, with Pipp following him. She was very annoyed with the hedgehog but kept her cool for the moment being.
Right now she needed to find her sister and give her a piece of her mind, they jogged for a few minutes before hearing what sounded like voices, they turned the corner to see Sunny, Izzy, Zipp and Hitch.
Pipp was only looking at Zipp with anger, while Sonic focused on everyone else. “Oh no, no, no, no. It’s not here!” Sunny cried with worry.
“Seriously!” Zipp mumbled, Izzy then perked up realising they were missing someone. “Wait. Where’s Sonic?!” She asked.
“Right here!” Sonic stated coming out of the shadows, startling the group as they turned to see the Blue Hedgehog approach them.
“Where did you go?” Sunny asked, to which Sonic grinned.
“Well to get this.” He grabbed the Pegasus crystal from his quills surprising everyone.
“Nice storage space you got there.” Zipp complimented.
Pipp finally stepped out, “Somepony needs to explain why that thing was so important that you had to ruin my whole show over it!” Pipp cried while pointing at the crystal.
“Trust me, it was worth it.” Zipp said amused while walking up to her sister, Pipp snapped back at her.
“You left me hanging there in the spotlight, now everypony knows we can’t fly. And I had to be saved by him.” She pointed at Sonic who was beyond annoyed at her treatment toward him.
Hitch who had been silent moved toward Sonic. “What is your main goal here?!” He asked with annoyance, to which Sonic smiled in amusement.
“To make the most of any adventure.” He chuckled.
All of a sudden the giant TV screen in the on the building outside the alley turned on. “This just in, the Blue Creature that was captured earlier has broken out and took the Queen Haven and Princess Pipp!” The Pegasus exclaimed, while showing footage of Sonic, Pipp and Haven disappearing in a bright light.
“How did you do that?” Zipp asked Sonic with curiosity filling her head. Sonic shrugged in response as he couldn’t put his finger on it, then All of a sudden Pipp’s phone buzzed.
She quickly got it out seeing a sight she never wanted to see. “A warrant is out for the arrest of the princesses.” It then switched to a clip of Queen Haven.
“Pipp! Zipp! Save yourselves!” Pipp started to freak out.
“What! This isn’t happening. This is so not happenin-” she was cut off by her sister.
“Pipp forget all of that. We think we can bring back magic but we need that crystal.” Zipp explained.
Pipp stared in disgust. “Have you lost your mind, we can’t trust them.” She pointed toward everyone else, Sonic having enough of her attitude stepped towards her.
“Will you just shut it for once! Look we’re sorry your performance got ruined! But that’s not an excuse to think bad of your sister or us! Plus I saved you from being arrested so what’s your excuse for not trusting us!” Sonic snapped, catching everyone of guard and making Pipp shrink down with tears threatening to leave her eyes.
Sonic’s face went from one of anger to one of remorse he didn’t mean to be so angry at her, he looked away from her and aimed his eyes toward the ground. “Sorry about that.”
He followed up his apology with one last question. “Is there a way out of here?”
Pipp who was staring at the hedgehog with fear quickly composed herself enough to anwser. “Y-yeah I know a way out, come on.” She answered before running off.
The rest of the group ran after her, while Hitch continued to stay where he has been the entire time. “What. Wait. You can’t just. But I’m the sheriff!” He whined.
Sonic looked at him before grabbing his hoof and dragging him along. “Sorry Donut Lord, but you ain’t sheriff in these parts.” He said with an accent.
Together they all ran to escape from the city, and began moving towards Bridlewood. Sonic had one last thought that came to his mind. ‘What was that teleportation that happened earlier, it couldn’t have been chaos control because I don’t have any of the chaos emeralds… oh well I worry about it later.’ He finished his thought before focusing on the path ahead.
Meanwhile back in Maretime Bay inside of Canterlogic a bunch of ponies were carrying equipment across the room building something, big.
Some ponies were hammering in nails others were moving carts filled with items even small cranes were being operated. An elevator then came down into the room with a mysterious silhouette standing there.
The doors finally opened revealing the pony supposedly breathing heavily, only for Sprout to walk out with a smoothie he was holding. He gave it to the mare next to him before continuing forward.
“Why aren’t you finished yet?” Sprout demanded.
“We’re working as fast as we can, but we’ve ran out of rivets.” The earth Pony informed.
“Riveting story.” Sprout joked while laughing before grabbing the collar of the earth pony.
“Just make it work, ok?” Sprout told him causing both earth ponies to run off.
“Sugar cube, I know your little top-secret project is important and all, but when do you think my workers can get back to making Canterlogic products?” Phyllis asked while approaching her son.
A pony then fell from the ceiling and landed between Sprout and Phyllis. “Back to work, Glitter Cupcake!” Sprout demanded.
“It is my factory, after all, dear.” Phyllis stated to which her son turned to face her.
“It’s my town, Mommy. Your son’s now Emperor of Maretime Bay.” Sprout proclaimed.
“Emperor?! But yesterday you were only sheriff.” Phyllis reminded him.
“Well, see how fast I’m climbing the ranks? This defence factory is going on offence, and it’s all thanks to your love an encouragement.” Sprout admitted, he then looked over towards another Pony.
“Break’s over, Bubblegum McGinty!” Sprout shouted. Phyllis then began realising that maybe this wasn’t a great idea.
“Oh dear.” She said before following after her son.
Location: Grassfield
Out in the middle of a grassfield, our group of heroes with Pipp now reluctantly joining them, are on their way to Bridlewood to find the unicorn crystal.
They came across a tree that had hundreds of pink leaves occupying its branches, Sonic looked on in amazement of the beautiful sight but still held a look of remorse, although he may find Pipp’s attitude toward him and the others bad.
He could not put the blame fully on her, this whole dividing ponies thing happened ages ago from what he could tell. He noticed Sunny, Izzy and Zipp all looking at the journal which had a map of Equestria.
“That’s the tree from the map, that means… it’s this way!” Sunny stated, before continuing down the path with Izzy, Zipp with Sonic following group behind them.
Hitch and Pipp were at the very back at the group, and were complaining about everything that has happened. “What am I doing here? Hoofing across daisy fields, looking for a magical crystal. That doesn’t even exist!” Hitch shouted.
“It was supposed to be my best show ever and now it’s over. I’m a criminal. And it’s all because. Of them” Pipp and Hitch said the last part at the same time.
“And that’s so not cool.” Pipp said with anger
“No it is not… did I just agree with a Pegasus?” Hitch asked himself, realising what he said. Sonic who had heard everything, slowed down keeping pace with the two ponies.
“Listen you two. I don’t like to be disrespectful to anyone but seriously get over it, just because something happens doesn’t mean that it can’t be changed. I mean just look at us, two Earth ponies, two Pegasi, one Unicorn and a Blue Hedgehog, traveling together. Who says history can’t be changed.” Sonic lectured the two ponies who looked at him with surprise.
Sonic then noticed something. “Oh by the way “sheriff”, your badge is missing.” Sonic mused, causing Hitch to freak out, he then pointed his hoof at Sonic. “You took it didn’t you?!” Hitch asked trying to be intimidating, to which Sonic burst into laughter.
“Yeah, that’s a good one sheriff and I thought Shadz had no humour.” Sonic chuckled while wiping a Tear from his eye, Izzy then came up to them.
“Y’know I did see a shiny badgey thing on the ground a few hours ago.” Izzy admitted. “Hours!” Hitch exclaimed. “We’ll maybe it’s for the best, between you and me buddy, that badge was creating an unhealthy power dynamic.” Izzy mumbled before dashed off singing a song.
Sonic chuckled at the sight with Pipp looking on with a slight smile. “She’s right y’know?” Sonic told before running ahead.
After walking for few more minutes they came across a bridge that was destroyed. “What are we gonna do?” Sunny asked looking at Izzy.
Sonic stepped forward. “I can help with that.” He then stretched his legs before lending his hand to Sunny who looked a little bit worried. “You’ll be fine.” Sonic assured her.
Sunny then put her hoof into his hand, he gripped it tightly before running with her and jumping across, they landed on the other side with Sunny falling onto the ground when Sonic let go of her hoof.
“Are you okay?” sonic asked worried that she might of gotten hurt, Sunny looked up and gave him a nod reassuring his worries. He then focused back on the others and jumped back across.
He did the process a few more times until it was finally Hitch’s turn, when he reached out for his hoof, Hitch scowled. “I’m not taking your whatever you call that!” Sonic was annoyed but quickly smirked.
“Okay… Catch guys!” Sonic shouted, before grabbing Hitch and throwing across to the other side, he was caught by Izzy and Sunny who fell down when he landed on them.
Sonic made one last leap across to the other side smiling at the group. “Is everyone alright?” He asked while picking up Sunny and Izzy. Everyone nodded except Hitch who was still getting back up.
“I would have you arrested on the spot if we were back in Maretime Bay!” Hitch screamed after getting back up glaring at the Hedgehog, who looked on with an are you serious look.
“But you didn’t want to take my hand, so I helped you, otherwise you would be back there by yourself.” Sonic stated with a deadpanned tone, getting a laugh from the others while hitch looked very annoyed.
“So how far from Bridlewood are we Izzy?” Sunny asked the purple Unicorn, “Not too far from here, but we may have to make camp.” Izzy said with excitement. The others looked up to see it was starting to get dark.
“Well let’s walk for a little bit and hopefully find a good enough spot to sleep for the night.” Sonic Spoke calmly, receiving nods from the others except Hitch.
When they began walking, Sonic’s ear twitched hearing what sounded like screaming. But he ignored and continued onward with the group.
Location: Campsite
After awhile the group found a perfect spot to camp for the night. They all managed gather materials for a fire, Sunny then clicked her hoof onto the materials igniting it before Zipp flapped her wings making the fire come alive.
Hitch on the other hand sat away from them, trying to make his own fire by rubbing a stick. Sonic who was sitting by the fire held a stick and drew something on the ground, catching the interest of the group.
Sonic looked over at Hitch amused at what he was doing, the others looked over as well with amused looks planted on their faces. “You need some backup, sheriff” Zipp asked. “No. Thank you, I’ve got it!” Hitch spat back, he then finally got a flame to ignite only for it to die out immediately.
“That was sad to watch. Come on don’t be a hero dude come get warm.” Hitch continued to be stubborn so Sonic had an idea.
“Hey Sunny go talk to him, cause he’s not willing to listen to rest of us.” Sonic requested to which Sunny nodded and walked over to the stubborn sheriff.
Sonic then focused back on his drawing and added the final touches, the others were talking to one another not noticing the sadness in Sonic’s eyes.
Eventually Sunny and Hitch came over to the fire and sat down with the group, Sunny was still optimistic along with most of the group. That’s when she looked over at sonic who looked upset about something.
“Hey Sonic why are you sad?” Sunny asked a little worried. Everyone else finally took notice of his sad expression, he looked up at all of them before pointing at the picture he had been drawing.
When everyone looked, it was drawing of a Fox with two tails. This made most of the group confused to which Sonic finally broke the silence. “This drawing is of my buddy Tails, he and I go way back and nowadays I see him as the little brother I never had… but now I’m here with no way of knowing if he’s okay.” Sonic explained with sadness plugging at his heartstrings.
Everyone was shocked by the new revelation. Most of the group thought that Sonic was always happy with himself here, but deep down he really misses his home and his friends. Even Hitch looked on with surprise, he had been suspicious of Sonic ever since they first met but now he wasn’t so sure.
Suddenly a wing wrapped around Sonic’s back, catching him by surprise he looked over to see Zipp was comforting him. “I may not know what your life is like, but just know that even if can’t go home we’ll always be here to support you.” Zipp said.
Sonic looked at Zipp, surprised that he had only just met her yesterday and she already considered him a friend, he looked around to see the others nod while Hitch did so, slowly. Sonic smiled at their support for him. “Thank you.” He whispered loud enough for everyone to hear.
He then looked at back at Sunny. “So what’s the next course of action captain.” He joked, getting a smile from her. “So I think we should set off at first light. Last stop Bridlewood.” Sunny then noticed Izzy looking sad. “What’s wrong Izzy?”
“It’s just that being with you ponies and Hedgehog has been the best thing that’s ever happened to me. I guess. I just don’t want our adventure to end.” Izzy explained while slightly getting happier.
“But Izzy, you’ll get your magic.” Sunny stated with optimism. Izzy smiled. Hitch then looked at both Sonic and Izzy. “Can I ask you both a question? Why did you come to Maretime Bay?” Hitch asked curious.
“I only came to help Izzy, plus I ended up here accidentally.” Sonic spoke truthfully. He then turned towards Izzy.
“I always wanted to visit, when I was a filly I found this pretty lantern. It had a message inside saying that I had friends in Maretime Bay.” Izzy explained pulling out the note from a few days earlier and showing it to the group.
Sunny’s ears perked up and she put on her biggest smile seen from the group. Sonic put two and two together almost instantly showing surprise on his face.
“It-it was you.” Izzy said, passing the note to Hitch who passed it to Sunny. “I made it with my dad. We always promised each other that someday we would prove that all ponies are meant to be friends… We do are part. Hoof to heart.” Sunny finished holding the note close to her chest. Everyone smiled at the words that had been spoken.
“Hey!” Hitch spoke up. “I want to do my part.” This ended up making Sunny smile even more. “What do we have to lose right?” He asked rhetorically causing the group to cheer.
“I have to admit a Unicorn forest does sound kind of magical.” He expressed with optimism for once. Pipp then a thought come into her mind.
“Y’know this whole adventure we’ve been on feels strange considering everything that’s happened so far.” Pipp giggled causing the others to giggle except for Sonic who was laughing.
Everyone turned towards him with Pipp being the most confused. “Why are you laughing Sonic?” She asked still confused. Sonic calmed down and looked at the group once more.
“Sorry it’s just that to me this isn’t all that strange.” Sonic said calming down from his laugh. Everyone was dumbfounded, “you’re joking right?” Pipp asked nervously.
Sonic now fully calmed down began to explain. “Well it’s no stranger than rescuing genies in magic books, or saving Aliens in an interstellar Amusement park.” This made everyone’s jaw drop, “Wow, he’s not lying.” Zipp spoke up.
“How would you know?!” Hitch asked desperately.
“It’s because he acted so normal about it, he didn’t flinch or stutter even once about it.” Sonic looked at Zipp with a smile thankful she believes him.
“I believe him.” Sunny spoke up, Izzy also nodded in agreement. Hitch and Pipp still weren’t convinced in the slightest, leading to them eventually settling in for the night. “Welp we better get some sleep.” Sonic requested to which the others nodded eventually most of them went to sleep.
Pipp though had a thought plaguing her mind throughout her attempts of sleep ‘I’m a Nopony’ she tried to ignore it as best as she could.
The thought kept coming at her for minutes if not hours on end, without giving her a break. Pipp finally gave up on trying to sleep, and walked a little bit away from the campsite unaware that someone else awoken from her hoofsteps.
Pipp continued towards the edge of the cliff near where Hitch tried to light a fire, she sat down overlooking the view of the land she had never seen in her life. Her thoughts were halted when she heard hoofsteps coming from behind, she was about to turn around until she was stopped by the voice of the figure.
“Couldn’t sleep either huh.” A male voice spoke, she turned around to see Sonic standing there looking at her with a neutral expression. “Go away, I don’t want to talk.” Pipp groaned looking away from him.
Sonic shook his head in response and walked closer. “Look, if there’s a problem I can help you. You just need to be open about it.” Sonic explained with sympathy.
Pipp turned her head back towards him before sighing. “Fine.” Sonic walked a little bit more until he was right next to her and sat down. “So why are you upset.” Pipp looked away from him not sure what to say.
“It’s just that I feel like I was a Jerk.” Pipp responded in an upset tone. “What do you mean?” Sonic asked confused.
“You see ever since I was little, I was never really into anything like sports or figuring out flight. Because my mom kept on trying to teach me about how I should never trust Earth Ponies, or Unicorns along with the faking our flight. And it took up so much of my early life that I lost my true self and ended up being one note.”
Sonic started feeling more sympathetic for the Pegasus with every word she said, taking the full weight of it all.
“It also made me a big jerk to Zipp who I do love as a sister, but due to how I was suppose to act I treated her and everypony else horribly. What kind of Pegasus does that make me… The only reason the Pipsqueaks even care for me is because I’m a royal… a Lousy, Worthless, Mistake of a Royal!” Pipp weeped, Tears spilling from her eyes.
Sonic was left in pure shock, she had been like this for so long holding in her emotions, and it was all because of the ponies becoming divided. Sonic took a deep breath before tapping Pipp on the shoulder.
“Pipp… look at me.” The Pegasus turned toward the Blue Hedgehog only to be engulfed by a hug.
“Don’t ever say that about yourself. It’s not your fault or even your mom’s, she only taught you those things cause her parents did the same, and also the fact she wanted to protect you. I might not be the best with family relationships, but there is always a chance to fix the mistakes you made… Even when it seems impossible.”
Pipp was taken aback from everything that had just happened. She had just been hugged by somepony who she knew little to nothing about and more specifically somepony she had been rude to ever since they met, yet he was here helping her.
Her face transformed from being shocked to being happy as she lifted her hooves and embraced the hedgehog as well. Tears continued to fall from her eyes but not nearly as much as before. “I’m sorry Sonic, for being a jerk to you.”
“No I should be the one apologising, because I accidentally ruined both yours and Zipps lives in Zephyr Heights, I needed to cause a distraction and I flipped the lever and it caused you to fly around like that.” Sonic admitted making Pipp gasp a bit before she put a hoof on his back.
“Hey. You didn’t mean to do it, we all do something we didn’t mean to do at some point one way or another.” Pipp assured causing the Blue Hedgehog to smile, they both sat in silence for a while before Pipp broke it.
“Was what you said before true? With the y’know Genies in magic books and saving Aliens?” Pipp asked with curiosity filling her head. Sonic nodded in response looking up at the moon that was shining brightly.
“You wouldn’t believe half the stuff My friends and I have done. Just so we could stop a guy who looks like an egg.” Sonic spoke while chuckling. Pipp smiled brightly having her fears and tears put to rest.
“Look, if you need help with anything that’s troubling you just let me know, and I’ll arrive in a flash.” Sonic requested, to which Pipp nodded. After a few more minutes of sitting in silence, they finally headed back to camp and began laying down, getting into comfortable positions.
Pipp had one last question to ask Sonic for the night. “Hey, who was this Shadz you mentioned earlier?” Sonic sat up and reminisced his past. “Well in short terms let’s just say he’s me but edgy.” Sonic whispered getting a giggle from Pipp.
“We better get some sleep, big day tomorrow. Night Pipp.” Sonic spoke quietly before closing his eyes. Pipp smiled to herself before resting herself on the ground. “Night Sonic.” She responded.
After a few minutes both of them were asleep snoring softly. Unaware that Zipp had woken up from their conversation, she found herself in disbelief of what just happened. But she knew that she couldn’t think about it right now, Eventually she fell asleep into the night as well, with one last thought appearing before everything went black. ‘Glad that those two made up, I believe I’ll have to as well soon enough.’
Sonic felt something bright hitting his face, he opened his eyes seeing the sun was rising slowly. He stood up and stretched his limbs, cracking them into place.
Afterwards he walked over to everyone else and awoke them from their slumbers, after a few minutes of them adjusting to the early morning they continued down the path towards Bridlewood.
Location: Outside Bridlewood
They eventually all reached the entrance, which had signs everywhere showing skulls, exclamation marks and even signs saying no Earth ponies or Pegasi. Most of the group had neutral expressions, while Sonic and Izzy had smiles.
“Come on! My place isn’t, far from here.” Izzy encouraged, Sonic began walking immediately while the others hesitated before obliging. They all walked through into a dark part of the woods, Izzy was ahead while the others followed closely behind.
Sonic whistled when looking around. “This is my kind of place.” The others gave him questioning looks, but continued to observe their surroundings.
They eventually look forward to see a house covered by the sun with the colours of the leaves popping brightly, “Welp, here we are guys.” Izzy announced before opening the door. “La Vila Izzy.” Everyone walked in and were in amazement of the sight they saw.
Location: Bridlewood Izzy’s House There was a painting of a unicorn made of random items, with an ice cream for its horn. Sunny found a spinning wheel that had spoons and dangling bottles, she activated it causing the spoons to hit the dangling bottles, which made a tune play.
Sonic was in the most shock from the fact, that ponies like Izzy could do this sort of thing. “Did you make all of this.” Sonic asked, Izzy looked at him with a smile.
“Yep. Uni-Cycling, isn’t it funky” Izzy asked. “It is gorgeous.” Pipp spoke in a singsong voice. “I also made friendship bracelets.” Everything froze for Sonic at the word ‘bracelet’. He remembered his old pal Chip and how he left his bracelet for him.
Unfortunately everything returned to normal speed. “Oh wait, wait, watch this, hold everything!” Yelled she ran off and grabbed a contraption of sorts.
“I never got to use this with actual friends!” Izzy exclaimed with excitement coursing through her voice. The built flower contraption opened up to reveal six small teacups, Sonic was very much impressed.
“Welp it’s official, this one pony is smarter than most of Twitter.” He commented, which was ignored by everyone else. “I so wished I had live-streamed that.” Pipp said with a smile.
“We don’t have time for that right now.” Sunny spoke up, causing disappointment to cross Izzy’s face. “If we’re gonna get the information we need on the unicorn crystal, we can’t stick out like sore hooves, We need to look like Unicorns.” Sunny explained causing Pipp to get excited.
“Yay makeovers, I love makeovers!” Zipp quickly replied nervously. “No, no this is not what I signed up for.” Sonic placed his hand on her shoulder, “don’t worry about it, the real problem is how are we gonna get me through the crowd?” This question caused them to think for a moment before a bright smile came onto Izzy’s face.
“Don’t worry, I’ll give you a horn to wear because most of the other Unicorns won’t notice you all too much due to how sad they’ve become.” Sonic’s eyes widened.
“That is the most insane idea I’ve ever heard… and I love it!” Sonic exclaimed. The others were shocked but didn’t say anything about it. “Okay then… so Izzy can you do it?” Sunny asked.
“A glow up.” Izzy placed her cup down. “Honey you came to right cottage.” she said while smiling.
Izzy: I thought Earth ponies were the pony ladder's bottom rung I heard that pegasi were brutes, you'd hate to be among You smell like fishes (you're vicious) I bet you eat your young Meet any one of you, the thing to do is run away
Izzy was wearing glasses, showing pictures of the Earth Ponies and Pegasi.
But although, I know we're all a bunch of different breeds Take away our wings and horns, and we're just frightened steeds So, let's put aside our differences just 'cause what we need's a win Oh-oh-oh
Izzy walked over to Sunny and Pipp who started dancing with her, Sonic even started tapping his foot to the beat.
Come on, rip out all the pages of your history books Just because we're undercover doesn't mean we're crooks When we walk, you through the crowd and give your brand-new looks a spin
Izzy then put her hoof around Zipp’s shoulder, before kicking a chair towards Hitch who sat in it, she then spun him around.
You're gonna fit right in This is a new low You're gonna fit right in It's never gonna work
She then put makeup on Hitch who frowned, before hopping out the chair.
Hitch: They taught us unicorns were super scary maniacs With horns like razors and tongues like tasers and teeth like tacks They take your hooves and then they grind them into midnight snacks The basic gist of it is unicorns are not okay
He then got grabbed by Sunny.
Sunny: Look, I know we're risking everything for this endeavor But look at us, we're brave and strong and weird and clever
Sunny danced around with Zipp, Pipp and Sonic who were spinning umbrellas.
'Cause we're running out of options and we're desperate to begin
Izzy began taking measurements of the group.
Izzy, Sunny and Hitch: You're gonna fit right in Ha-ha, if you say so You're gonna fit right in I know you will, now watch and learn
They all walked through the curtain.
Izzy: This is how a unicorn walks (walks) And this is how a unicorn talks (talks) This is how a unicorn hoops (hoops) This is how a unicorn Oops (geez, stop!)
They walked down some stairs, entered a showroom and even went to a basketball court and threw some balls before missing, thankfully Sonic caught them.
This is how a unicorn struts Oh, watch you shake your unicorn butts Now you're in the unicorn know (wow) Soon, you'll be a unicorn pro
Everyone sans Sonic began the following Actions before suddenly Izzy started rapping.
Oh, a unicorn horn makes a unicorn stride It's the more-head on your forehead, it's the source of your pride
She then pointed at Sonic who got the message and began rapping as well.
Sonic: Every unicorn who's born, has worn a horn that's unique So We’ll whip them up as we speak, you be lookin' très magnifique
They both continued rapping together.
Izzy and Sonic: And with those rocks in our pocket, we'll reap the reward And folks'll be floored, we'll strike a new chord Our magic restored
Sonic and Izzy were then joined by Sunny and Hitch who sung in unison.
Sunny, Izzy, Hitch and Sonic: Lately, all of Equestria has lost its heart But if we can help to find it, we should play our part If we fail, we'll go to prison But if not, we'll start to grin So, let's begin
Izzy opened a curtain and began finishing the song.
Izzy: This is how a unicorn walks This is how a unicorn talks Now you're looking unicorn strong This is how a unicorn ends this song

They were now ready to find that crystal with Hope beaming brightly inside of them. The others looked at Sonic who just had a fake Unicorn horn on his head making them giggle a little bit, even Sonic had to admit it was a little funny.
They saw the village up ahead and began making their move. Sonic quickly remembered Chip and began thinking about his last parting gift to him, he then stopped moving and put his hand into his quills.
After searching he found the bracelet, he happily put it on his wrist with the orb on it glowing green signifying Chip was still here with him. “Hey Sonic you coming or what?” Izzy asked, to which he replied.
“Coming.” He then ran to catch up with the others. Looking back at the bracelet he only could say one thing. “I miss you buddy, and I swear I’ll never take it off again.” With that said he focused back on the path ready to get the Unicorn crystal with his new friends.
They were all walking down the path towards the main town of Bridlewood, they still had a few minutes until arrival but until then they all had conversations with one another.
Zipp looked over at Pipp with a sad frown and decided this was the time to apologise, “Hey Pipp.” Pipp looked over at her older sister. “Yeah.” Zipp had a look of remorse before coming clean.
“Hey um, I heard you and Sonic talking last night and I’m sorry.” Zipp admitted, catching Pipp off guard. “Why are you sorry, I’m the one who was a jerk and I wasn’t like a sister to you.” Zipp saw the look of heartbreak on her young sister’s face.
“No what I mean is that I’m sorry, for not trying to help you. All I did was ignore you and I focused on dreams that were pretty much impossible, plus I left you behind back in the throne room.” Zipp explained, Pipp continued to stare at her sister before smiling.
“That’s all I needed to hear.” Pipp then launched herself at Zipp with teary eyes, with Zipp’s eyes widening before she smiled and hugged her sister back, everyone else watched the scene with smiles with Sonic smiling the most, happy they have reconciled.
Afterwards they all continued forward towards the town, Sunny caught eye of the bracelet on Sonic’s wrist, she walked closer to him. “Hey Sonic, what is that bracelet on your wrist?” This caught the attention of the others.
Sonic looked at Sunny before looking back at the bracelet, he sighed in disappointment before explaining to them about it. “You see this was a parting gift of a friend of mine, he and I had a great adventure but unfortunately he sacrificed himself in order to save me. And he gave me something to remeber him, ‘I’ll never forget you, I’ll be by your side always, a part of the earth you tread’.”
The group caught whim of Sonic’s sad tone causing Sunny to feel guilty. “I’m sorry Sonic, I didn’t know it was personal and-“ Sonic quickly put a finger on her mouth quieting her.
“It’s okay, I know none of you would hurt me on purpose, plus whenever I have this bracelet on I feel like he’s here with me.” Sunny and the others smiled, while Sonic smirked.
“So we gonna get this crystal or what?” The group cheered in unison before continuing down the path. A few minutes later they came across a bit of crystals, Izzy began running up to them. “Ta-da Crystals, Crystals, Crystals, Crystals!”
“She does know we’re looking for just the one, right?” Zipp joked. Izzy continued saying crystals until the town was revealed. They all began walking in noticing all of the depressed Unicorns.
One was getting hit in head by apples repeatedly. “Ow, Ow.” A few foals were playing with horseshoes while two other Unicorns spoke in a deadpanned tone. “Hey.” “Hey.” There were also three foals on a playground bored out of their minds.
“Well this is cheerful.” Hitch said sarcastically.
“These other unicorns seem so different than you.” Sunny pointed out, Izzy responded.
“Yeah, I get that a lot, my sparkle is a little to sparkly for Bridlewood.” Making Sonic grow a curious look.
“How can you tell which ones are magic?” Hitch asked, all of a sudden the foal on the swing perked up and pointed at Hitch. “Oooh, you said a bad word. Hurry before we get jinxed.” The other two foals stood up before doing a chant.
They stretched themselves backwards before making a raspberry noise, and then they jumped around while doing the chant. “Bing Bong, Bing Bong, Bing Bong, Bing Bong.” This caused confusion to go amongst the group.
“Okay I’m gonna need some context.” Zipp requested with the others nodding, “Unicorns are very superstitious, if a pony ever says a forbidden word we have to a ritual to ward off the jinxies.” Izzy whispered.
“Jinxies?” Pipp questioned.
“Bad luck.” Izzy continued.
“Forbidden words?” Hitch asked.
Izzy began listing them. “Magic, Wing, Feather… oh and Mayonnaise.” The others were very confused. “What’s wrong with mayonai-“ Hitch couldn’t finish as Izzy ran over and covered his mouth, with the other Unicorns perking up. After a few seconds the Unicorns went back to normal while Izzy let go of Hitch’s mouth.
“Come on there’s something I wanna show you.” Izzy told them while trotting down the path, the others followed while still being confused by the forbidden words.
They then saw a building up ahead. “the crystal tearoom?” Sunny asked to no one in particular. “There’s a pony inside who collects crystals, Maybe he can help us.” Izzy explained looking back at the group.
“That’s great Izzy, oh and Hitch.” Sunny leaned over towards the sheriff. “ I know, I know, no forbidden words.” They all made it inside with no problems.
Location: Crystal Tearoom Upon entering inside they saw a bunch of depressed unicorns, with one Unicorn up on a stage singing. “Earth pony jinx, something stinks, Pegasus neighs…”
They then found a certain Unicorn on a table by himself. “That’s the pony I was talking about.” Izzy whispered. Sunny nodded and walked in front of the Unicorn.
“So, word in the forest is you collect crystals.” Sunny spoke in a confident tone, causing the Unicorn to perk up. “Yes! I do, well I mean I did. I lost them all in a limbo contest with… Alphabittle!” The Unicorn explained upset.
Izzy immediately got worried. “Oh no.” Sonic perked up. “Who’s Alphabittle?” All of a sudden a bell rung catching the groups attention, they all turned to the counter.
“Times up, pass it over Jasper.” The Unicorn trying to complete the Rubik’s cube, gave up and gave it to Alphabitttle who then quickly completed it before plopping it back onto the counter.
“Guess that makes me the winner again, pay up.” Alphabittle demanded. The group watched the scene unfold with Sonic thinking in his mind. ‘Now I understand why my friends get so annoyed whenever I get cocky.’
The Unicorn gave away what he had and walked off, “you can always try winning it back.” The Unicorn continued to walk off. “Alright, suit yourself.” Alphabittle took his new prize and put it on a shelf before walking over to something else.
The group then caught eye of the Unicorn crystal, that was sitting on the top shelf. “There it is, I’ve got an idea maybe, I can beat Alphabittle at his own game.” Izzy looked at her friend.
“Alphabittle can smell fear.” Izzy said worriedly.
“Got it.” Sunny began walking over to the counter, while Izzy looked scared.
After a conversation between both Sunny and Alphabittle, the group saw Sunny use the Pegasus crystal as an offering. They then pulled her aside,
“um what are you doing?” Zipp asked with concern.
“Don’t worry, I could solve that cube puzzle in my sleep.” Sunny said with confidence.
“But if he wins, we lose both crystals.” Pipp pointed out.
“I think I should try it.” Sonic spoke up catching the group off guard.
“Are you sure?” Sunny asked in slight worry.
“Look I know for fact he’s got some trick up his sleeve so I’ll try and maybe he won’t do it. Plus I’ve completed enough Rubik’s cubes to win this.” Sonic spoke with his sprits high.
After a few moments they all came to an agreement. “Okay we’re trusting you Sonic.” Izzy spoke with worry.
“Izzy if your friend is finished stalling do we have a deal?” Alphabittle asked impatiently. “Yeah I’m ready.” Sonic spoke up catching the Unicorn off guard.
“And who might you be?” Alphabittle questioned.
“Who I am isn’t important, what is important is that I accept your challenge.” Sonic spoke in a calm voice.
After a few seconds of thinking Alphabittle agreed. “Okay, give it your best shot.” He then got the mixed Rubik’s cube and gave it to Sonic to complete.
“You have a minute to complete it, starting now!” Alphabittle announced.
Sonic was in shock that the disguise was working but decided to not focus on it, within a blink of an eye grabbed the Rubik’s cube, and mixed it around before placing back onto the counter.
“Done.” Sonic said, Alphabittle took a look at the Rubik’s cube, before his eyes widened and his mouth dropped to the floor. This ‘Unicorn’ finished the Puzzle in less than a second.
“B-B-But how is this possible, there’s no way you could of-“ but he was cut short by Sonic lifting his hand up quieting him, he then revealed his other hand which had the Unicorn crystal.
“A deals, a deal. Thanks for the game it was fun but now we gotta go.” Sonic said in a confident tone, before grabbing the both crystals. He walked back to the others who cheered in his victory, but Sunny’s horn accidentally flew off making all of the Unicorns turn towards the group, with angry glares.
The group realised they messed up with one thought clouding their minds. ‘Oh No’
The group knew that they had been caught, and there was no excuse they could use to talk their way out. “An Earth pony.” Alphabittle said in an intimidating tone.
“And Pegasi!” Zipp spoke up.
“And a Unicorn, which you knew already!” Izzy stated.
“And a Blue Hedgehog.” Sonic spoke in an almost similar tone to Alphabittle. Sunny stepped forth, “I know it doesn’t look like it, but we’re here to help.”
Alphabittle scowled. “Help? We don’t need help. Especially from ponies and Hedgehogs like you. Give me the crystal.”
Sonic’s face turned angry while looking Alphabittle, he stepped forth and pointed at him. “Listen here, Gandalf we won and honestly you’re not that scary, so don’t step any closer or I’ll say the forbidden words.” He warned causing fear to wash over the Unicorns.
“You wouldn’t.” Alphabittle spoke angrily, to which Sonic smirked.
“I would.”
“You wouldn’t.”
“I would.”
“You wouldn’t.”
“I would.”
“You wouldn’t.”
“I wouldn’t.”
“You would.”
“Thanks for the permission. Magic, Wing, Feather!… MAYONNAISE!!!” Sonic yelled.
All of the Unicorns froze before beginning to do the ritual. All of them were yelling Bing Bong, which gave the group a chance to escape. “Go, Go, Go!” Sonic directed, while putting the crystals into his quills.
Location: Bridlewood “Sorry about that! Uh thanks for the Tea!” Izzy called back to them, the sign fell in front of the door. “That was clever Sonic!” Sunny exclaimed.
“Eh it was nothing, but let’s get away before something bad happens!” Sonic said. They all ran for a few more seconds before seeing something move in the bushes ahead, causing them all to stop.
Queen Haven came out from the bushes. “Mom!” Both Zipp and Pipp said in unison before running to her. “Oh, my darlings! Thank hoofness!”
“You escaped!” Zipp said.
“How did you find us?” Pipp asked. The bushes rustled again revealing Cloudpuff, who jumped at Hitch knocking him down on the ground, with the badge in his mouth.
“Ah! My badge! Yes!” Hitch held the badge in victory. Queen Haven turned back to her daughters.
“Oh, I'm so glad I found my little fillies. Now, I know that if you just come back with me, we can explain everything. Spin the story, and they'll love us again. R-Right?” she said nervously. They all heard hoofsteps coming their way, revealing the angry Unicorns running towards them before stopping.
“Let us explain.” Sunny pleaded, only for a voice to interrupt. “There she is!” They all turned to see a bunch of guards from Zephyr Heights appear.
“Your criminal highness! Your coming with us!” Zoom ordered only for Thunder scream. “Ah! Unicorns!” He then threw the Tennis Ball at Alphabittle who had frown on his face, which went unchanged after it hit him.
“Give me back my crystals and leave Bridlewood!” Alphabittle demanded.
“Your crystals? That crystal belongs to me!” Haven spoke up.
“Not anymore, it doesn’t! I won it fair and square.” Alphabittle lied, to which Sonic snapped his head towards him. “What the what!” Alphabittle ignored him.
“Hah! I certainly doubt it! Unicorns are known to be cheaters!” Haven countered, Sonic’s blood was boiling once more even more so than back at Zephyr Heights.
“You Pegasi always thought you were better than us!” Alphabittle spat back, to which the guards and the other Unicorns got involved.
The arguing continued on with the groups getting closer ready to fight. “Surrender the crystal, or I’ll use my powers against you!” Alphabittle threatened.
“I’d like to see you try!” Haven responded. But Sonic had enough he was done being silent, it was going to become a full on fight soon. With a lift of his hand he swung it down, “ENOUGH!!!” Out of nowhere a red projectile landed in between the two parties, catching them all off guard. ‘Did I just… eh forget it.’
They all turned to Sonic who was breathing heavily, before looking back up. “That’s enough! I’m sick and tired of this, stupid nonsense! We’ve been trying to restore magic, while all of you have continued to fight! How come someone like me who isn’t even from this world, has managed to become friends with Two Earth Ponies, Two Pegasi and One Unicorn in three days while all of you haven’t in who knows how long!” Sonic pointed out, causing them to be dumbfounded.
“Bing-Bong!”
“Look if I know anything it’s that you can all become friends with one another, even if it seems impossible. Just look at us six.” He pointed at himself and the others who stood in shock.
“Did he just say, “Magic?” A random pony said.
“This is a trick.” Zoom guessed. Sonic smirked in return, “Lady if you knew what I’ve been through you would find bringing back Magic very possible.”
He then turned to Sunny and Izzy, grabbing the crystals from his quills, “You two want to do the honours.” Sonic asked to which they both nodded, he handed them both one crystal each.
They both stood up on a rock, and began slowly connecting the crystals together making everyone smile, but when they did connect nothing happened.
“Why didn’t it work, daddy?” The Unicorn foal asked. “Because it was all just make believe.” His father answered, before starting walk away along with the other Unicorns and Pegasi.
“We can try it again! Maybe… maybe w-we did it wrong somehow.” But the Unicorns and Pegasi still walked away. “Wait. Wait, don’t go Oh, come on. Work. Work! Please work! Come on!“ but it still didn’t work, Hitch walked over and put his hoof on her shoulder.
“Sunny. It's okay. You did everything you could.” he said. It didn’t do much to help Sunny. “I... I thought it would work. I was so, so sure of it.” Sunny got back up and began walking towards Alphabittle.
“What do we do now, Sunny?” Zipp asked in sadness. Sunny gave back the Unicorn crystal to Alphabittle, and walked over to Haven and gave back the Pegasus crystal. “I’m sorry for all the trouble I caused you.” She then began walking home.
“Sunny! we can’t give up!” Pipp spoke up making Sunny stop before turning around to face her friends. “I thought I could make a difference.” She looked at the sad Unicorn foal who looked back at her. “But everywhere I go, I just make things worse.” This made her friends look in disbelief.
“That’s not true. We’re all in this together, right?” Izzy turned to the others who agreed but Sunny still looked sad. “I’m so sorry I let you all down.” She turned to face Sonic who had a sad frown.
“I’m sorry Sonic, that we won’t be able to get you home.” Sunny then continued to walk away. Hitch sighed before walking after her, but he turned to face the group.
“I guess this is goodbye… friends.” He admitted.
“Better hurry sheriff.” Zipp said in a solemn tone, Hitch walked away with Sunny.
Sonic looked up at the sky with sadness not being able to see his friends again, sure he could try and do what he did before, and try to travel back but who knows where he could end up. He wasn’t going to take the risk, he then walked back over to the rock and sat down before looking at Chip’s bracelet with a sad smile.
“At least I’ll have someone by my side always.” He whispered. The others looked over, seeing him talk to the bracelet made their hearts melt. They walked over and sat down near him.
“Hey guys.” Sonic spoke in a sad tone.
“Hey before we go back to our homes, I like to ask one more thing.” Izzy asked.
“Sure, fire away.” Sonic insisted.
“Okay can you tell us what happened earlier with that thing you did? Secondly can you tell us some of the adventures you’ve had?” Izzy requested getting nods of agreement from both Zipp and Pipp. Sonic smiled, glad that he’s earned their trust now.
“I’m not really sure what happened earlier, but I can tell you my first few adventures.” After getting some nods he proceeded to tell the tale, keeping the Unicorn and Two Pegasi interested. There was the occasional question, to which he answered all that came to him.
After an hour of telling them his first four adventures their jaws dropped to the floor, “That was amazing.” Zipp said after being silent.
“No kidding.” Izzy voiced her opinion.
“That was fabulous.” Pipp said in a singsong voice.
“Yeah, and there’s plenty more I could tell but I think I said enough stories for one day.” Sonic admitted. But then he started laughing, “What’s so funny?” Izzy asked.
“Y’know it’s weird that the crystals didn’t work, I mean sure maybe it wasn’t supposed to work but I feel like there’s… something… missing.”Realisation hit him like a bullet train, ‘of course there are three ponies kinds. Unicorns, Pegasi and Earth Ponies meaning a crystal for each individual breed.’
He then stood up. “I know why the crystals didn’t work!” The three ponies became confused. “What do you mean?!” Zipp asked.
“You know how there was a crystal for both Unicorns and Pegasi!” Sonic asked receiving nods, only for their eyes to widen after realising what he meant.
“No way!” Izzy said, Sonic nodded. “Exactly, we need to head to Maretime Bay, asap!” He along with the three ponies ran past, Alphabittle and Haven.
“Where are you four going?!” Haven yelled, to which Sonic quickly yelled back at her. “We figured out what went wrong, now we’re gonna fix it.” They continued running back to Maretime Bay with the Guards and Unicorns following closely behind.
The group were making good progress on their way back to Maretime Bay, without noticing the Unicorns and Pegasi that were following closely behind. They noticed the Lighthouse in the distance before noticing fireworks, going off above Maretime Bay.
“What’s with the light show?!” Sonic asked out loud. The others watched in both amazement and worry, what could they be celebrating about. They all decided to walk to the lighthouse, mostly to catch their breath.
Sonic then looked ahead and noticed two figures running in their direction, he made out the looks and figured out that it was both Sunny and Hitch.
“Sunny!” Izzy yelled catching their attention, “What are you guys doing here?!” Sunny asked stopping in her tracks along with Hitch. The group stopped as well happy to see their two friends again.
“We don’t care what anypony says!” Izzy exclaimed.
“Yeah! We just wanna stay friends!” Zipp agreed with Pipp and Sonic nodding. “Pipp! Zipp!” They all turned to see the Haven, Alphabittle and the Unicorns and Pegasi running up to them.
“I know you're upset, darlings, my sweet little darlings, but it's time to go home now.” haven begged.
“Izzy Moonbow, you're gonna get us all jinxed! Come back to Bridlewood!” Alphabittle demanded.
“Excuse me! Do you see my mouth still moving? That means I'm still a-talking!” Haven retorted, Sonic facepalmed.
“Can you two just get a room, already.” Sunny then interrupted the conversation.
“You’re all in danger!” This caused confusion amongst everyone.
“I’m sorry, what?” Haven questioned, but then a horn blared making everyone look down the path, only to see a giant red machine moving towards them. It then stopped in front of all them sending dust everywhere.
A bunch of Earth Ponies marched next to the machine, only to gasp at seeing the Unicorns and Pegasi standing front of them. “Would you look at this? Our enemies delivered themselves to us!” Sprout announced.
“No, no, no, we're not here to fight, Mr. Big Robot Pony.” Queen Haven explained trying to calm the tension, but all words fell on deaf ears as Sprout ignored her.
“I do not accept your surrender! Load the Splat-a-pults!” He demanded, but the Earth Ponies ran away in fear. Sprout groaned to himself, “Why do I have to do everything myself?!” He began activating some sort of mechanism.
“We have to stop that thing!” Zipp declared.
“But how?” Izzy asked.
Sunny’s eyes widened, “With magic!” She then ran towards Alphabittle and Haven. “Quick! I need your crystals!” She asked, the two ponies gave her the said crystals before she turned to her friends.
“There’s a third crystal!” Sunny, Sonic, Izzy, Zipp and Pipp said in unison. “Jinx!” They all joked before running towards the Lighthouse.
Sprout saw this and began moving in on them. “Oh no you don’t!” He began moving towards the lighthouse, Sonic caught wind of this before looking at the others.
“You five, go and put the crystals together I’m gonna stop that thing!” Sonic ordered, the others nodded before running inside Sonic then turned around and faced towards the machine.
“Hey! Spaghetti and Meatball! Stop what you are doing, right now!” Sonic demanded, Sprout stopped his machine. “I will prevent magic from coming back, even if it means destroying the Lighthouse!” Sprout declared.
Sonic knew he wasn’t going to stop, he quickly got into a runner’s position before staring down Sprout with a glare. “You want to play!… then let’s play!” Sonic called to Sprout.
Sprout started laughing. “You think you can beat me! Hah! I’ll squash you first before I go for the lighthouse!” He started up the machine again, which led to Sonic moving his legs in place kicking up the dust below, with his feet becoming a figure eight shape, blue sparks started flying off Sonic’s shoes with them disappearing when they hit the ground.
Everyone was watching in surprise, wondering what was going to happen. Sonic and Sprout glared each other down, with Sonic ready to fight this tin can of a machine.
“Ready!” Sonic announced, which made Sprout charge forward. “GO!” Sonic charged forward and jumped into the air before Homing attacking the roof of the Machine, he then rebounded himself towards the ground before Spindashing. He then launched himself at the machine again and proceeded to hit it over, and over, and over, again and again. Repeating the process before returning to his original spot.
“Try all you want Sprout, it won’t work!” But Sprout was to stubborn. “And let them have magic never!” He then activated the Splat-a-pults but due to Sonic attacking the machine they were a lot more damaged and were on the verge of coming off, Sonics eyes widened along with everyone else’s.
“Sprout, turn off the machine the splat-a-pults are on the verge of flying off!” But it was too late, the screws holding the spinning wheels flew off and made contact with the Lighthouse, causing major damage.
Sonic gasped, and noticed the lighthouse was going to collapse any minute now due it starting to tilt, unfortunately Sprout was still too caught up in his plan. He began charging towards it only for a voice to appear.
“Sprout! Let’s put the toy away!” He turned to see his mom running next to the machine, “Mommy, please! I'm in the middle of something!” he growled.
“You come down from there right now!” she demanded.
“But, Mommy, I'm... in... chaaaaarge!” Sprout yelled, while putting his machine at max speed. Only for Phyllis to step in front of it. “I... said... STOP!” Sprout turned the machine away from his mom, but still crashed into the Lighthouse.
Sonic who watched the scene unfold, turned to see Hitch, Zipp and Pipp run out the front door to where he was, but Sunny and Izzy were still up there.
He looked up at the balcony before calling out to his two other Pony friends. “Sunny, Izzy quickly jump down!” They both appeared on the balcony, and looked scared of the height they were at.
“Okay, I’ll go first!” Izzy quickly jumped off the lighthouse. Sonic caught her and placed her down, Sunny was very hesitant and didn’t move for awhile.
“Sunny, I need you to jump. I promise I’ll catch you!” Sonic called to her. She hesitated for a second before complying, she jumped off the balcony and screamed in fear before Sonic jumped up and caught her.
After landing back on the ground the top of the lighthouse collapsed and smashed into the ground, causing dust to appear. After it cleared up they all saw the destruction of Sunny’s home.
Sonic placed her down carefully, while Sprout came out from the machine unscathed but walked towards the crowd quietly in fear. Sonic looked at Sunny with sad eyes. “What happened with the crystals?” Sonic asked, Sunny turned around to face him, “They didn’t work… but I understand now.” Sonic was confused but let her continue.
“It's not the crystals that need to be brought together. It's us. We can bring back everything that was lost, but it's up to us. We can stay separated by fear and distrust, or we can choose friendship. We can choose love. That's the true magic.” everyone watched in amazement, after hearing Sunny’s words. She stood in front of the now broken picture of herself and her dad. Hoping they would understand.
Haven walked up to her and proceeded to slowly push the left wood frame back into place, they looked at one another and smiled. Alphabittle then came up and did the same with the right frame, with Phyllis putting the top of the frame back into place.
They all looked at each other with smiles and gave Sunny and her friends smiles, which in turn made the group to look at each other with hope, shining brightly inside of them.
Light began shining out of the rubble along with movement, before long the crystals came out and began moving towards Sunny.
The crystals surrounded the young Earth Pony, who only stared in shock. “What?” The crystals spun around her quickly before she was raised into the air.
Everyone could only stare at the display in awe, wondering what was going to happen after a few more seconds, Glowing wings appeared on her back along with a horn appearing as well on her head, here mane even had a rainbow going through it.
She began flapping and smiled at the crystals that were still spinning around her, they then launched upwards into the sky before clicking together, creating a Rainbow ring that crossed the night sky and filled it with colour.
Back on the ground Izzy’s horn started glowing. “Woah!” Then Zipp and Pipp’s wings started glowing, they began flapping before levitating off the ground. They began flying around laughing in excitement. “We’re actually flying!” Pipp said out loud.
The orb on Chip’s bracelet turned became very bright, emanating a green aura which Sonic smiled at. He also felt his bond with Chip grew stronger.
Sonic looked over at Haven and Alphabittle who also got the same effects, he then looked up to Sunny slowly come back down. “Whoa! Sunny! Check you out!” Zipp blurted, they all landed back onto the ground and were more happy than ever before.
“What!” Hitch exclaimed in surprise.
“I can’t believe it!” Sunny said excited.
“Now that’s what I call, a glow up!” Izzy expressed. Pipp looked up in the distance and lifted her hoof, “Look!” They all turned to see the rainbow ring travel across the land.
Location: Bridlewood
The Unicorns were still depressed, but then their horns started to glow causing them to become happy, the unicorn foal on the swing hopped off and ran to his dad. “Daddy! Daddy! The magic is real!”
Even the crystals scattered throughout Bridlewood glowed with the return of magic.
Location: Zephyr Heights
Back in the city of Zephyr Heights, the Pegasi were flying about happily not caring about anything else and we’re having the best time of their lives.
Location: Maretime Bay
Sunny and Sonic stood together smiling at display, they noticed an earth pony chasing Cloudpuff happily along with Haven and Alphabittle, talking to one another in the distance.
Phyllis distracted Sprout and took off leaving him behind.
Sunny couldn’t have been more happy in her whole life, but something felt missing she couldn’t quite put her hoof on it. She then felt a presence near her, she turned around and saw none other than her Dad as a spirit, standing in front of her.
“I’m so proud of you Sunny.” He said with a smile, Sunny had tears of joy and quickly ran over and hugged her dad, although he was a spirit he could still be touched.
“I missed you so much!” She sobbed, causing him to hug her back tightly. He then looked up to Sonic smiling at him, “Thank you.” Was all he could say to the hedgehog who nodded in response.
Argyle let go of her daughter and put his hoof under her chin. “You will have to continue forward without me Sunny, but I’ll always be in your heart no matter what happens.” Sunny smiled happily before walking back to where Sonic is standing.
The others came over and saw Argyle, looking at them with smiles, he turned his attention to Sunny. “I love you dad.” Argyle nodded slowly.
“I love you too, My Little Pony.” He then closed his eyes before slowly disappearing, after a few more seconds he was gone. He may have left, but he wouldn’t be forgotten.
The group got together once more. “Was that your dad?” Pipp asked, to which Sunny nodded.
“I’m glad I got one last chance to see him again with all of you.” They all nodded looking at the rest of the ponies.
“Hey Sonic aren’t you gonna go home, now that we have magic?” Sunny asked, to which Sonic responded.
“Well I can’t really leave, my only way back right now could lead to me being somewhere else I’m not familiar with, so I’ll stay for awhile. Who knows maybe this might be what I’m looking for after all.” They all smiled at that, Hitch then walked over to Sunny.
“You did it Sunny.” Hitch congratulated.
“No! We did it! Together.” She bumped Hitch on the shoulder.
“Now we never have to be apart!” Izzy exclaimed happily while bouncing.
They put their hooves/hand together. “Hooves to Hearts!” They yelled in unison, they then saw an Earth Pony with balloons on his back land In front of them.
“Hey, guys. What did I miss.” He turned to face them.
Three young Ponies were walking together singing a song.
“Glowing up.”
“Kind of love.”
“We say “Hi” you say.”
“What!” They said in unison, the Pegasus turned to his two new friends.
“Race you to the bridge!” The Pegasus exclaimed.
“Oh! It’s on!” The Unicorn confidently said.
“No using your magic this time!” The Earth Pony called to them before running after them. The hoofprints she left behind started glowing on the outlines before disappearing.
Miles and miles away from Maretime Bay exist an abandoned town that is left to fall apart and be forgotten but there are some who are still here. To give life to the land.
”you girls felt that right?”
”Yeah it was Awesome!”
”It sure is.”
”I feel hopeful from whatever that was.”
”Yeah it was like BOOM!!!”
”What does this mean then?”
”It means that whoever caused that Rainboom are ready for the next step in their Journey.”
”Are you sure Sis.”
”I’m very sure Spike. Come on girls let’s go tell the others.”
