After Sunset’s and Metal’s defeat, a few weeks has passed and no students forgiven Sunset after the Formal Fall and the times she treated everyone, except Applejack, Pinkie, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Fluttershy, Cream & Cheese, Shadow (kinda), Rouge, and the Chaotix.
Shortly after, 3 new students showed up to CHS and as Sunset, Cream & Cheese show them around, that day was the “Battle of the Bands” and something was off about them after the students began arguing with each other and both principals acted really strange, so Sunset grab her book given to her by Celestia and asked her for help.
While Twilight was on her adventure, she was given a book that was glowing purple and it was Sunset asking for help so she, Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, and Spike go back to the other dimension to save their friends.
“Hey man. Remember how crazy this year Fall Formal was!” Bulk Biceps asked Flash Sentry.
“Well not much?” Flash admitted as he rubbed the back of his head and chuckled. “A raging she-demon and a metal dragon was not what I was expecting in a hundred years!” Flash responded as the two walked into the school building.
Inside the school, students in different groups chattered in the hallway and some students were walking towards the gym and in the gym, students were painting banners and creating unique designs. Applebloom, Scootaloo, and Sweetie Belle were painting on their banners, but Sweetie’s paintbrush was taken by Sunset Shimmer.
“Can I help?” She asked
“No thanks, we’re good.” Applebloom responded
“The three of us already got this.” Scootaloo added, making Sunset upset.
“So can I have my paintbrush back?” Sweetie Belle asked as Sunset quickly gave it back.
“Hey Sunset! Over here!” two voices called to her and it was both Pinkie Pie and Charmy waving at her and alongside with them are Applejack, Rarity, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Cream & Cheese, Rouge, and the Chaotix.
Sunset shyly smile at them and walked towards them, but everyone gave her mean looks at her, but they didn’t say anything to her, making her feel even worse for what she did.
“I wasn’t expecting everyone to be her...” Sunset signed as she crossed her arms.
“Why wouldn’t they be here? Today the “Battle of the Bands”!” Rainbow told Sunset
“Quite the eye-catching advertisement, if I do say so myself.” Rarity said as she and Pinkie were holding their banner.
“And I used frosting instead of paste.” Pinkie added.
“It does?” Fluttershy asked as she was sniffing the banner, only for Pinkie to put it in her face and when she moved it away from Fluttershy, her entire face was covered in frosting.
“Hey Fluttershy?” Rouge asked. “There’s a little bit of frosting on your face there.”
Fluttershy got a tiny bit of frosting from her face and wiped it off, then asked, “Did I get it?” Rouge playfully giggled as Cheese helped get the frosting off of her.
“Good afternoon, students.” Principal Celestia said to the students. “I just wanted to tell you all how pleased I am that so many of you are going to participate in the first ever Canterlot High School Musical Showcase!” The principal added as they cheered. “This is a wonderful opportunity to raise money for all our after-school programs here at CHS. So keep working on those signs and posters. I think it's going to be one of the most exciting events we've had at CHS since the Fall Formal.” Celestia finished.
The students didn’t cheer, but they instead glare at Sunset Shimmer from the previous Fall Formal incident, causing her to hid in her knees as the other looked concerned.
Meanwhile in the band room, they were practicing their instruments, except Sunset as she sat down and felt horrible.
“Ugh! I am never gonna live that down.” Sunset said.
“Well you did broke us apart from each other.” Ray replied as he pat Sunset on the back.
“And turned into a raging she-demon.” Fluttershy added.
“And tried to turn everyone here into teenage zombies for your own personal army and take over a different dimension.” Pinkie also added.
“Oh, darling, you have us, and we've forgiven you for your past... *ahem* booboos.” Rarity responded to Sunset, but she was still upset about herself.
“Not Shadow though.” Sunset told Rarity. “He’s the one more upset at me, I just wish I could make it up to him.”
“Shadow is hard to talk to consider how distant he is to others.” Espio told Sunset.
“I know him longer than anyone else and even though he might hide it, he has a soft spot and he will forgive you, it’ll just take a for him to realize.” Rouge responded.
“Now let’s start rehearsal everyone.” Vector said as they began.
While they were practicing, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie, Fluttershy, Rarity, and Applejack suddenly grew pony ears and tails, causing the others looked both shocked and amazed as they continued rehearsal, but after they got finished, the pony ears and tails suddenly vanished as Sunset was a bit confused to why it happened just now.
“That was super cool!” Charmy
“How did you girls did that?!” Mighty asked the five of them.
“I don’t know, but they looked super cool on us!” Rainbow replied.
“But didn’t Twilight took the magic back with her crown back to Equestria?” Applejack asked and shortly after, Flash was knocking on the doors.
“Sorry if I’m interrupting your rehearsal, but it sounds amazing and you guys have knocked it out of the park.” Flash said.
“Thanks Flash!” Charmy replied as he flew up to Flash to give him a high five.
“Uh, we're getting there. Rarity and Rouge’s still coming in a little late on the second verse, and Applejack's bass solo could use a little work.” Rainbow told Flash as Applejack frowned at her. “Plus Cream and Cheese’s back up lines are a bit too quiet for anyone to hear, but we’re getting there.” Dash added.
“Uh, I don't suppose any of our friends from, uh... out of town might come? Uh, it being a special charity event and all.” Flash asked.
“Hate to break it to ya’, but I don’t think Twilight, Sonic and the other aren’t coming back anytime soon.” Rouge responded.
Flash nervously chuckled and said, “Oh, yeah. Okay. I just, you know, thought I'd ask. Uh, k-keep on rockin' it.” he said as he was about to leave, then turned around and asked them another question. “So is Shadow joining your band?”
“Nope!” Rainbow simply answered. “That guy’s never around for things like this and I’ll doubt he’ll even join.” Rainbow crossed her arms as Flash left the room.
“Looks like Flash’s falling for someone.” Mighty said, but Espio got his attention and looked at Sunset direction and after what he said, Mighty quickly apologized.
“It's okay. Flash is a great guy and all, but I never really liked-him liked him. I was just using him to become more popular.” Sunset replied. “Ugh! The old me really was just awful, wasn't she?” The other agreed that her old self was awful.
“But the important thing is that you've turned yourself around.” Applejack said to Sunset.
“Thanks, Applejack, but I'm not sure everyone else at CHS feels the same way.” Sunset told when suddenly, the P.A. system went off saying.
“Sunset Shimmer. Cream the Rabbit. Please report to the main foyer. Vice-Principal Luna said through the P.A. system.
“Gotta go. Cream and I volunteer to show some new students around the school. Thought it'd be good for them to get to know the new me before they heard all the stuff about the old me.“ Sunset said as she, Cream & Cheese left the room.
“We've still got a few minutes before lunch starts. What do you say we do "Awesome As I Wanna Be"?” Rainbow said as the others rolled their eyes.
“Hold it Dash!” Vector called. “This isn’t just about you, this is our band!”
Rainbow laughed and said, “I was the one who made it and lead singer.”
“But what name is it called?” Vector teasing asked Dash, who ignored the question.
“End of story, that can wait later!” Rainbow growled.
Meanwhile at the main foyer, Sunset, Cream & Cheese saw nobody around and were confused as they looked left and right.
“Where are they?” Cream asked
“I don’t know? Did they leave or something?” Sunset asked as she scratched her head, then they heard one voice behind them.
“We’re right behind you, if that what you want to know.” One girl said in they shadows.
“Hi. Are you the girls I'm supposed to show around?” Sunset asked.
The three girls smirked at each other and all three of them walked from the dim light at the same time.
“We are.” one of the girls said with her hand on her hip with a smirk on her face
“Hi, my name is Cream is this my two friends, Sunset Shimmer and Cheese, what’s your name?” Cream asked the three girls.
“I’m Adagio is this Aria and Sonata and we like for you to show us around.” the girl named Adagio politely asked Sunset and Cream.
“Okay then.” Sunset answered. “Follow us and we’ll show the three of you around.” She said as she, Cream & Cheese guided them through the hallway.
Meanwhile in the hallways, Sunset, Cream & Cheese showed Adagio, Aria, and Sonata the computer room and the science room, then they made it to a Battle of the Bands poster.
“Plus, we’re having a Musical showcase this weekend, and the whole school are coming along together.” Sunset told the three girls, which got them by surprise.
“Did you say a musical showcase?” Adagio.
“I'm sure since you're new, Principal Celestia would let you sign up if you're interested.” Cream replied.
“We have been known to sing from time to time.” Aria told in a bored expression. “It’s really fun actually...” she finished with a small smile.
“Hello? We sing, like, all the time! It's how we get people to do what we want.” Sonata burst out casually as Adagio turn around to tell her to keep quiet.
“What she meant to say was that being in a musical showcase sounds like a great way to meet other students.” Adagio told Sunset and Cream, correction Sonata.
“Ohhhh, yeah. Th-What she said I meant to say. That's what I meant. To say.” Sonata nervously chuckled.
“And what you would have said if you weren't the worst.” Aria scoff at Sonata.
“You are!” Sonata shot back at Aria
“You'll have to excuse them. They're idiots.” Adagio told as Aria didn’t care and Sonata smiled behind her.
“That’s kinda mean to say to them?” Cream asked Adagio.
“Their not idiots, they just disagree with each other, but they don’t hate each other.” Adagio quickly responded.
They went silent and Sunset, Cream & Cheese looked at the three girls red jewel necklaces as it shined in front of them. Cheese flew over to Adagio and got a closer look at the red necklace and as he was about to touch it, Adagio saw Cheese and quickly grabbed his arm before he could touch, then she apologized as she let go of him.
“Sorry. These pendants mean an awful lot to us. We'd just hate for anything to happen to them.” Adagio said as she, Aria, and Sonata walked off to Principal Celestia office.
After they shortly left, Cream grab ahold of Cheese, who was rubbing his arm and looked a bit uncomfortable. The school bell rang and the students were walking to the cafeteria.
“Come on Cream, it’s time for lunch.” Sunset said as they walked to the cafeteria, but they grew suspicious about Adagio sudden react towards her necklace when Cheese was about to touch it.
In the cafeteria, the students spoke to one another and ate their lunch and being friendly as well. Sunset, Cream & Cheese walked to their friends table and they look worried from guiding Adagio, Aria, and Sonata and Cheese was whimpering as Cream was more worried about Cheese than the girls. The three made it to their friends table and they looked at them as they were about to sit down.
“Heya mates, did that tour went well?” Mighty asked, but the two girls went silent for a little bit until Sunset spoke.
“I don’t know...the girls...they were acting...strange?” Sunset replied.
“And when Cheese tried to get a closer look at one of the girls necklaces, she grabbed poor Cheese’s arm and acted strange just like Sunset said.” Cream added as the others gave each other also worried looks.
“Maybe they must be transferred from another school?” Ray questioned.
“Not only that, they acted negatively to each other and were at each other throats.” Sunset said.
“Do we really have to deal with another bully again!” Charmy said annoyed, but he realized what he said and apologized by saying, “No offense...right?”
“Non taken.” Sunset sighed as she hid in her arms on the table. “So much for making a good first impression.” Vector knocked Charmy’s head and gritted his teeth at him.
“Ya know she’s trying to move on from before you blabber mouth!” Vector hushed harshly towards the bee.
Outside the cafeteria, Adagio, Aria, and Sonata watched the students in the cafeteria.
“This is it, girls. The moment we've been waiting for.” Adagio said to Aria and Sonata with a sinister grin.
“Is it lunch because it’s ‘Taco Tuesday’!” Sonata admired as she stands beside a Taco Tuesday poster as Adagio groans and Aria rolled her eyes.
“She means it’s time to get our Equestrian magic back taco girl.” Aria told Sonata, who scoffs back at her.
“Our voices are just strong enough to make them want something so badly, they'll fight to get it.” Adagio said as she looks at the students in the cafeteria.
“So we're just gonna do what we always do? Stir up some trouble and then feed off the negative energy? Some plan, Adagio.” Aria sarcastically said to Adagio.
“It won't be the same as the times before! There is Equestrian magic here.” Adagio responded to Aria. “Their negative energy will give us the power we need to get this entire world to do our bidding.” Adagio added.
“But we can get lunch after though, right?” Sonata asked.
“What are you talking about Sonata? We don’t even eat food, we’re Sirens, not ponies.” Adagio told Sonata. “Just follow my lead alright.” Adagio told Sonata again.
“Do every plan always have you as the leader because you’re not the best leader in general.” Aria told Adagio, who grabbed her shirt and got close to her face.
“Would you just shut your sarcastic mouth for once!” Adagio growled at Aria and let go of her as Aria crossed her arms and got annoyed as Sonata giggled.
As the students continued eating their lunch, Adagio, Aria, and Sonata open the double doors and posed as everyone, including Rainbow and the others as they began to harmonize with each other.

Adagio sang as Sonata walked over to Flash Sentry and touched his back as he was talking to another student while Adagio moved her hand on top of a few students’ heads as it gain the others attention as well and Adagio, Aria, and Sonata’s necklaces brighten.
[Adagio] Here's a chance to find your flame Are you a loser or a fighter?
Adagio asked one student who saw a flame in his eyes.
[Adagio, Aria, Sonata] Me and you, you and me Why don't we see who is better? We don't have to be one and the same thing Oh, what's so wrong with a little competition? Are you afraid of failing the audition?
The three sang as they pointed at the students and then suddenly, they gave each other a suspicious look while Adagio, Aria, and Sonata sat down on some chairs, then crossed their legs as they gave the students a thumbs down.

Adagio sang to Trixie as she made her turn to her, then Aria and Sonata lifted Adagio up on a table as she walked up to one student, who was eating his food, lifted his head to look at her as he gulped his food.
It doesn't matter who you hurt Adagio jumped off the table and turned around to sing. If you're just proving you're the best

The three girls sung as their pointed at students, separating them into other music groups, and were in the center of an argument between other student as they gotten aggressively competitive with each other as it quickly turned into an huge argument with one another.

Adagio, Aria, and Sonata pointed at the students again, then Aria and Sonata stood behind Adagio and the three moved their hands and hips at the same time and Aria and Sonata stood beside Adagio and posed as Flash Sentry and Sandlewood growled at each other and green aura surrounded their bodies.
Battle! We wanna win it Let's have a battle, battle of the bands Let's have a battle, we'll go all in it Let's have a battle, battle, battle Battle of the bands!
While the three girls were singing and the students arguing with each other, Sunset grew skeptical and didn’t notice Shadow walked past them and headed towards Adagio, Aria, and Sonata, much to her surprise and so did the others.
Shadow stood right in front of them with his arms crossed and asked, “You three singing voices are a sight to behold, but it causing everyone to argue with each other. Just who are you girls anyway?”
Adagio opened her eyes and saw Shadow standing right in front of her and replied by saying, “Well if have to ask, we’re ‘The Dazzlings’ and we’re entering in the ‘Battle of the Bands’ and for someone this cute, you’d best bring you A+ game.” Adagio told Shadow as she was moved her hand on top of the hedgehog’s head.
“The Dazzlings huh, well I’m Shadow the Hedgehog and I would like to know your names as well.” Shadow asked the Dazzlings as they introduce themselves as Aria’s cheeks turned red, but Shadow, Adagio, and Sonata didn’t notice.
As the Dazzlings were about to leave, Sonata whispered to Shadow saying, “And by the way, don’t even bother telling those two Principals, if you tell them what happened, they won’t believe a single thing.” Sonata whispered as she rushed out the doors and quickly caught up to Adagio and Aria.
Shadow turned back to Sunset and the others and they looked at him confused and once he made it to the table he told them the whole conversation.
“So those three girls are called the...Dazzlings...and they did somethin’ to Principal Celestia and Vice Principal Luna?” Applejack asked Shadow.
“I knew something was off about them ever since Adagio grabbed Cheese’s arm and quickly apologized.” Sunset said.
“And what they did with the two sisters, then we have to think of a plan before things escalate higher than what’s happening now.” Espio told as he open one of his eyelids and looked at the continuing arguing students in the cafeteria as Sunset and the others walked out of the cafeteria and into the statue outside as the bell rang, signifying that the school day is over.
In the front school yard, Sunset, Shadow, Espio, and Mighty stood up near the statue while Rouge was painting Rarity’s nails, Fluttershy and Cream played with Cheese, Ray sat on top of the statue, Charmy and Pinkie eating cupcakes, Rainbow kicking her soccer ball around, Vector listening to his music on his headphones, and Applejack pranced back and forth slightly nervously.
“I still can’t believe they got to Principal Celestia and Vice Principal Luna first before we did.” Fluttershy said as she was petting Cheese while a heart floated above his head.
“And even if we got there first, would they even believe us anyway?” Mighty responded to Fluttershy as he clenched his fist hard.
“They gotten everyone!” Rainbow added.
“Not everyone.” Pinkie said to Rainbow Dash as she slide to Applejack.
“Pinkie’s right, We were there when the Dazzlings were singin' and we weren't affected. It was like we were protected somehow.” Applejack added to Pinkie’s statement.
“So let's take them down! It's not like we haven't tangled with dark magic before and totally whooped its sorry butt!” Rainbow said boastfully, then she quickly apologized to Sunset saying, “Uh, no offense.”
Sunset sighed again and said, “None taken...again.” in a disapproved tone and rolled her eyes.
“But that was when Twilight, Sonic, and their friends were here with the Chaos Emeralds and there could be magic inside of Fluttershy, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, and Applejack when you girls play music or something.” Ray responded as Sunset looked above her to see Ray. “I wonder why that happens to you girls?” Ray questioned as he glided down to the ground.
Rarity sighed as she looked at her pink finger nails Rouge was still pain and replied, “If only we could get a message to Twilight. Maybe she could tell us how to break the spell the Dazzlings have cast on our friends.”
“Well, that's not gonna happen. The portal's closed.” Rainbow let out as she threw the soccer ball at the statue next to Rouge and Rarity, but the bat girls kicked it back to Rainbow with messing up Rarity’s nail polish. “And I get the feeling they don't exactly have cell phones where she's from.” Rainbow added as she caught the returning soccer ball.
“I may have an idea how we can get in touch with Princess Twilight!” Sunset said as she quickly ran to her locker, grabbed her notebook with her cutie mark on it, then quickly came back to the statue. “When I was Princess Celestia's student back in Equestria, she gave me this. Even after I abandoned my studies, I held onto it. Deep down, I guess I knew I was making a big mistake, and I wanted to still have a way to reach out to her. Maybe it still works.” Sunset said as she remembered the good times she had being Celestia’s student before Sunset changed.
“That a book crazy, it doesn’t use batteries and what does ‘maybe it still works’?” Charmy asked Sunset as she snaps back to reality.
“It used to be that if I wrote something here, it would appear in the pages of a book back in Princess Celestia's library. I get a message to her, then she can get a message to Princess Twilight.” Sunset told Charmy and the others.
“So what are you waiting for? Get to writing!” Rainbow said she offered a pen for Sunset with a smile and so did the others (except Espio & Shadow).
Sunset grabbed the pen from Rainbow and let out a big sigh and said, “Been a long time since I've written these words.” "Dear Princess Celestia..." Sunset wrote as her writing glowed Purple and she continued writing to Twilight in Equestria.
In Equestria, the earth-ponies, pegasi, and unicorns lived peaceful and carefree lives and at the beach far away from Ponyville, a lavender alicorn named Twilight Sparkle and her multiple amount of friends like Sonic, Tails, Crash, Coco, Knuckles, Amy, Sally, & the rest of the Mane 5. When Twilight walked out of the house, a Parakoopa flew up to Twilight with a book in his hands.
“Are you Princess Twilight Sparkle?” The mail deliver asked as he handed the book to Twilight.
“You don’t have to call me ‘Princess’ Twilight Sparkle and yeah that’s me what’s your name?” Twilight asked the parakoopa.
“Oh right! I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Parakarry, I’m a mail delivery of the Mushroom Kingdom and since this isn’t the Mushroom Kingdom, I’m helping the mail delivering service here as well Miss.” the parakoopa named Parakarry told Twilight before he left.
Twilight looked at the book she was given by Parakarry and then the book began vibrating and glowed purple everything it vibrated. Twilight slowly opened the book and saw words being written in real time as Sunset was telling Twilight about the Dazzlings, then the other overheard Twilight and also looked at the book as Twilight was reading the words from it.
“What kind of book is that Twi?” Coco asked the lavender alicorn.
“It’s a book from my friends at this school from another dimension and it seems like they need my help, but what could it be?” Twilight questioned herself and turned around to her friends. “Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, and you too Spike, I need you guys for this one again.” Twilight told as they looked back at her very eagerly and nodded back at her at Twilight teleported back to Ponyville.
“Well while they’re gone, let’s go read the author’s first ever fanfic he wrote.” Sally said as she pulled out a book and began to read it.
Back at Ponyville and in the Golden Oak Library, Twilight reappeared back into her house with Spike, Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy as Twilight walked over the the book shelf.
“I’m so excited about this you guys!” Spike said, barely containing his excitement. “I might be a dog, but I can get special treats from Rarity.” Spike said, then he saw Amy looking at him with a smug face, then he quickly said, “A-and meet our old friends as well.” the dragon assistant nervously chuckled as he rubbed his finger on his head.
“I hope they did so much better after we left.” Amy asked.
“Maybe Sunset became friendly and made some new friends in the process?” Sonic answered.
“I don’t know about the Sonic, she might have changed, but it will take a lot of forgiving to do and I doubt they will still forgive her after all the things she did to them.” Knuckles told Sonic as he crossed his arms.
Before anyone could saying anything, Twilight pulled a book and she pushed a newly unlocked door and Spike, Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy followed Twilight downstairs, leading into her secret lab with potions, steampunk gears, and other stuff as well. Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy looked in awe to see this hidden room and got a closer look at Twilight’s other research, then they saw the mirror they went through before back in Canterlot.
“Hey Twilight?” Knuckles asked, “Why is this mirror here instead of the castle.”
“Well Cadence gave it to me when we came back and I put it here to see if I can go back.” Twilight answered the red echidna. “But I also wanted to tell you guys about the girls Sunset was talking about and how it the sirens.”
Everyone looked at each and said “The Sirens?” At the same time.
“The sirens were three beautiful but dangerous creatures who had the power to charm ponies with their music. But to maintain this power, they had to feed on the negativity and distrust of others. The more of this negative energy they consumed, the stronger their voices became, and the farther they could spread their dark magic.”
“They use their singing voices to charm ponies and cause them to act negative with each other, then feed off the negativity energy and the more they consume, the stronger they get.” Tails said to himself.
“If the sirens had their way, they would have divided and conquered all of Equestria. But a certain Star Swirl the Bearded wasn't having it. Rumor has it he found a way to banish them to another world – one where he believed their magic power would be lost. That world must have been the one where my Canterlot High friends live.”
“But was that a long time ago? How come this is just happenin’ now?” Sonic asked.
“Maybe they were feeding on the negative energy and that what keeping them alive.” Twilight theorized.
“Hate to break it to you Twi, but we can’t get to our Canterlot High friends because the connection is lost and how did Sunset get a message from you?” Amy asked Twilight, who quickly hugged Amy tight calling her a genius and grabbed Tails and zipped off to the mirror with machines and in just one minute, they already upgraded the mirror with the machine. On the top, two electrical poles sit on opposite ends with a familiar looking emblem holding it, and a large metal leaver holding the emblem and at the bottom, a golden metal case surrounds the bottom of the mirror.
“...And the interval between the two points is defined as the square root of the sum of the squares of the separation between the points along three spatial dimensions.” Twilight and Tails said at the same time, but they didn’t understand a single word they just said.
Twilight let out a big sigh and rolled her eyes annoyed.
“We’re going to put the magic from the book...” Twilight responded as she levitated the book and onto the emblem, then it glowed and a purple sheet moved through the a scroller and the mirror was showing a swirling purple portal. “...And into the crystal mirror.” Twilight finished.
“I’m so ready for this!” Sonic said as he was running in place as his feet were in a figure 8 motion.
“Me too!” Twilight said as she and the other nodded in agreement.
Twilight, Spike, Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy stood in place for a few seconds into the portal with Sonic going in first and the others followed suit and in the mirror as they spin with sparkle trail behind them.
Back at CHS, Rarity was painting Fluttershy’s nails, Vector was still listening to his music, Sunset was writing in a different notebook, Rainbow threw the soccer ball back and forth, Cream, Cheese, and Ray played tag, Espio and Shadow stood next to the statue with their eyes closed, and Applejack, Pinkie, Charmy, Mighty, and Rouge played with card with Applejack throw out her ace cards, then Pinkie threw out the joker cards with a sly smug grin with the other confused.
Rainbow sigh a said, “I’m starting to think they’re not coming.” As she said that, Sonic appeared from the mirror with a new look and skidded his feet across the ground and waved his finger at Sunset and the others.
“Hey guys, did ya miss me?” Sonic asked them, but before they could answer, Twilight, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy came out flying at the blue hedgehog and knocking him down to the ground.
“Well that was quite the entrance I’ve seen before.” Rouge stated as Cream and Mighty ran up to them to help them up on their feet.
As Mighty and Cream helped Tails, Knuckles, and Amy, Sunset put her hand out for Twilight and Sonic and while Sonic didn’t hesitate, Twilight did as the two did say anything to each other.
“Thanks Sunset.” Sonic said as he smiled at Sunset, who turned a little bit red and looked away nervously. Sonic helped Twilight up and once they got back up, everyone ran up and gave them a group hug (with the exception being Shadow and Espio).
“And I've got some bad news about those new girls.” Twilight said to her CHS friends as they began to worry, but their attention was caught because of Charmy’s stomach growling.
“Can we talk about this at Sweet Shoppe, I’m starting to get really hungry!” Charmy complained.
“But didn’t ya just eat before in the cafeteria?” Applejack asked the young bee and he responded by shaking his head.
“Well then I guess we’ll go there now I suppose.” Amy said as they began walked to Sweet Shoppe.
At Sweet Shoppe, Charmy and Pinkie were telling Mr. and Mrs. Cake their order while Twilight and the others sat at their table discussing about the Dazzlings.
“Oh, I do hate that you had to return at a time of crisis. There's so much catching up to do!” Rarity said to Twilight, Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy.
“For starters, a certain blue-haired guitar player was just askin' about you.” Applejack said to Twilight, who sprung up excitedly.
“Flash Sentry was asking about me?!” Twilight excitedly replied as she played in her hair while blushing about Flash, but she looked around her to see Rarity, Sonic, Tails, Rouge, Pinkie, and Sunset giving her smug looks. “Isn't that nice?“ Twilight said nervously as she began to sip up her milkshake.
“Did anything exciting happened in your world Twilight?” Cream asked Twilight as she and Cheese gave her adorable smiles.
“She's got an official title now.” Spike said as he began imitating a fanfare. “The Princess of Friendship!” Spike finished as he pointed at Twilight, who smiled nervously.
“Wow, that's really impressive. Guess you really were Princess Celestia's prized pupil.” Sunset said as she rubbed her arm and nervously smiled too.
“We were also on an adventure and met Crash Bandicoot and his sister Coco.” Sonic said with his hands behind his head.
“You guys have the coolest adventures ever!” Vector told Sonic, who gave him a smile back.
“I wouldn’t call the ‘coolest’ because of near death situations.” Knuckles said as rub while he remembered Twilight, Sonic, and Rainbow Dash knocked out unconscious, losing their abilities to Starlight Glimmer, and Metallix. “B-But what about you guys, did anything happen beside the whole school suddenly arguing and singling themselves like before.” Knuckles said as the others eyes shrunk and Knuckles quickly realized what he just said. “Sorry Sunset, I didn’t mean to-“ Knuckles said, but he was interrupted by Sunset.
“None taken. I’m used to it.” Sunset smiled as she looked outside the window.
“Smooth moves Knucklehead.” Sonic hushed at Knuckles.
“Well what Knuckles was asking was this?” Rainbow said as she showed Twilight a video of Rainbow, Fluttershy, Applejack, Rarity, and Pinkie growing pony ears and longer hair. “Pretty sweet, huh? It happens to all of us when we play.” Rainbow asked.
“But it doesn’t happen to us apparently?” Rouge added.
“Hmm. My crown was returned to Equestria, but some of its magic must have remained here at Canterlot High. Now that we're all back together, we can use that magic on the sirens. Just like when we were able to use it on Sunset Shimmer when she turned into that horrifyingly awful winged monster!” Twilight said, but after realizing what she said, she turned to Sunset and said, “No offense.”
“None taken. Again. That four in one day.” Sunset smiled again while playfully rolled her eyes.
“They'll never even know what hit 'em!” Rainbow shouted as she began performing various fighting moves and made karate noises and she almost hit Espio, but he caught it just in time.
“We don’t have it worry anymore now that you little heroes are here.” Rouge said as she wink at Twilight, Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy.
“Oh, I'm pretty sure I could find something to worry about. But it won't be the sirens.” Fluttershy said joyfully as she hugged Spike tighter.
“The sooner we do this, the better. Any idea where the Dazzlings might be?” Twilight asked, but turned to her side because of Pinkie and Charmy siping up her milkshake.
“There's a big party tonight for all the bands who signed up to be in the showcase! That would include the Dazzlings.” Pinkie and Charmy said simultaneously.
“Well it sounds like there’s a party to crash.” Sonic said as Pinkie squee in excitement.
Back at CHS, the group walked into the gym only to see all the students giving each other glaring looks and said nothing to one another and distance themselves away from each other. The group walked over to the punch bowl and continued watching the students glaring at each other.
“This looks more like a boring party than an exciting party...” Sonic stated as he crossed his arms.
“Anyone see the Dazzlings?” Tails asked as he looked back and forth, but the others shook their heads and Twilight decides to walk around to find them.
Near the stage platform, Snips was taunting Flash Sentry with his hand motion, Flash growled and raised his hand in the air and snatched his cup and turned his back at Snips.
Flash sighed and said “I'm gonna get more punch!” as he walked away towards the punch bowl, he crashed into Twilight, causing her to tumble back and she almost fell on the floor, but Flash caught just in time and was surprised to see her.
“Eh, bumped, into, always, doing?” Twilight stuttered as her cheeks turned bright red and Flash smiled as he pulled Twilight up straight.
“Twilight! What are you doing here? You came back for the big competition, right?“ Flash asked.
“Well if you’re askin’, then yeah, we’re back for the competition Flash.” Sonic replied as he walked towards Flash and he gives him a thumbs up as he answered.
“Even Tails, Knuckles, and Amy?” Flash asked the blue hedgehog, which he nodded, but Flash gave Sonic and Twilight a cocky smile and said, “Huh. Not that there's gonna be any real competition. No one here wants this as bad as my band does!” Sonic crosses his arms and gave Flash a snarky look and smile.
“Like a rival battle I see, well Flash I gotta tell ya’, you might have some real competition...” as Sonic was talking to Flash, Rainbow saw the Dazzlings and took a chocolate chip from Pinkie’s chocolate chip cookie and threw it at Twilight’s head. Twilight reached the back of her head and grabbed the chip and turned to Rainbow as she pointed her eyes at the Dazzlings.
“Can you excuse us for just a minute?” Twilight told Flash as she grabbed Sonic’s arm as she walked back to the others.
“What the deal Twi?” Sonic asked Twilight, who pointed her finger at the Dazzlings and then, the students began arguing with each other.
In the middle of the gym, Adagio, Aria, and Sonata watched the student body yelling in each other faces, others threatening one another with their fist, even some where being held back by their friends. As this was going on, the same green aura from before surrounded the students, emitting a green and cyan smoke as it was going into the Dazzlings’ ruby necklaces.
“Oh, no! No one's mingling! It's like there's some kind of underlying tension that could bubble to the surface at any minute!” Adagio mockingly cried as she snickered at her necklace.
“It's the fruit punch, isn't it? I knew I used too much grape juice!” Sonata responded as Adagio facepalmed herself and Aria gritted her teeth and clenched her fist.
“Are you really that much of an idiot Sonata!” Aria yelled at Sonata, who in return, gave her an annoyed look and acted like she didn’t hear a single thing from Aria.
“It's not the fruit punch! It's us!” Adagio told Sonata, who realized what she meant to mock Aria. In bitter anger, Aria drank her fruit punch and sticked her tongue out and threw the cup in the trash.
“Geez, what kind of punch do they even serve here?” Aria complained, which caused Sonata to get close to Aria.
“What do you know about good fruit punch?” Sonata retorted.
“More than enough to give you a punch that’ll make you shut up!” Aria threatened as she caught her fist and then cracked her bones and got closer to Sonata’s face.
“Can we save the death battle for later girls.” Adagio told as she pushed Aria and Sonata away from each other. “This is just the kickoff party. Imagine what a tizzy they'll be in by the time the Battle of the Bands starts.”
“There isn't going to be a Battle of the Bands!” A voice shouted, catching the Dazzlings for it to be Twilight and standing beside her were Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Applejack, Rarity, Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Cream, Cheese, Rouge, and the Chaotix as Sunset nodded to them and looked at the Dazzlings. “We're gonna make sure of that!” Twilight said as they started holding hands. “Alright, everyone, let's do this! Friendship is magic!” Twilight and her friends raised their hands and their eyes were shut, but it was complete awkward silence and when they open up, nothing happened.
“Was something suppose to happen?!” One student in the back shouted.
“Aren’t we suppose to create a rainbow of some sort?” Ray asked.
“What now Twilight!” Rouge hushed to Twilight, but she didn’t say anything but look super embarrassed.
“Hey Shady, can you help us over here!” Pinkie shouted, but he ignored her.
“Talk about throwing down the gauntlet! This group is obviously serious about winning! A little cocky though, aren't they?” Adagio mocked the group. “Claiming there won't really be a battle. Seems they think they've already got this thing all locked up.”
“Not if the Great and Powerful Trrrrrixie has anything to do with it!” Trixie shouted.
“Yeah and that ‘Great and Powerful’ stuff will make you look like a fool!” Flash shouted at Trixie.
“And just because you’re popular, doesn’t mean you have the best band.” Applebloom told Flash as Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle agreed with her, then the arguing started back up again.
“I think we may have found what we're looking for. Or rather, it found us.” Adagio said with a sly grin and she and Aria looked at Sonata, but she looked confused and just shrug, prompting Aria to slap her face.
“Magic!! Don't you see?! Everyone else has fallen under our spell. But not them. They’re something special.” Adagio told Aria while looking at Twilight and the group walking out of gym.
Outside the school, Twilight was prancing back and forth while her friends sat down on the step looking at Twilight.
“It doesn't make any sense. I should have been able to create the spark that would help us break their spell. That's how it worked before.” Twilight questioned herself.
“But to defeat me and Metal, you drew magic from the crown I was wearing.” Sunset told Twilight. “The sirens' magic comes from their music. So maybe youhave to use the same kind of magic to defeat them.” Sunset theorized and answered, sparking Twilight’s attention. “Or... maybe not.” Sunset dropped her answer and looked down.
“But you might be onto something there Sunset?” Tails said to Sunset.
“Really?” Sunset asked Tails.
“It's when you play music that you transform now, right?” Twilight asked Applejack.
“Yup. Ears, tails, the whole shebang.” The cowgirl replied.
“So maybe the way to use that magic to defeat the sirens is by playing a musical counter-spell!” Twilight answered.
“You mean like a song?” Vector and Charmy asked.
“Uh-huh. And in order to free everyone who's been exposed to the sirens' spell, we'll need them all to hear it.” Twilight said, which got them thinking, until Shadow voice was heard.
“The band competition.” Shadow answered, then said, “We can use that counter spell during the competition and everyone will be there to hear it.”
“Guess my band are the band to beat.” Applejack said as she looks at Rainbow Dash.
“And I believe you guys just became our newest members.” Rarity said as she stick her hand out to Twilight, Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy, which only surprised Twilight and the other were excited. The others ran up the them and chattered excitingly, leaving Sunset behind.
“So what do you guys wanna play?” Pinkie suggested after she popped up in front of Rarity and Mighty as she offered them a triangle, sousaphone, and a theremin.
“How bout’ I play the electric guitar instead? Sonic asked.
“And I’ll play bass.” Knuckles said.
“And I can play the drums.” Amy said.
“Is it okay I can do the vocals along with Twilight.” Tails said.
“Like, as in, lead singer? Cuz that's usually my gig. This being my band and all.” Rainbow told Tails and Twilight.
“It's our band!” Applejack told Rainbow. “And, of course, as lead singer. She's the one with the magical know-how to help us pull this thing off and Tails’ might be a great singer.” Applejack said as she had her arm over Tails and Twilight shoulders.
“Okay, yeah, that's cool. I'll just use this as a chance to hone my already insanely good lead guitar skills.” Rainbow said as she played an air guitar.
“It's only temporary. And we don't have to win the Battle of the Bands. We just have to perform during the first round of the competition.” Twilight told the group.
“Then how bout’ we get to learning with that counter spell.” Mighty said
“Well about that...well, that's just it. I don't know any.” Twilight told the group as the sighed in disappointment. “But I'm sure I could figure out how to write one.”
“Totally! Twilight can write a spell like it's nobody's business. That's pretty much how she got to become a princess in Equestria.” Spike confidently said to the group.
“Technically, I helped finish a spell.” Twilight corrected to the group and looked at Spike and said, “And there was a little more to it than that, Spike.”
“Yeah, whatever.” Spike said.
“I've got this.” Twilight told the group and turned to Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy while she picked up Spike as they were walked towards the doors. Cheese flew in front of them and asked them what they were doing.
“Well, last time we were here, we spent the night in the library.” Amy answered.
“Are you crazy?! We're besties now!” Pinkie told Twilight, Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy as she gave them a tight hug. “Slumber party at my house!” Pinkie screamed as she lifted them off the ground and hugged them tighter.
“Could you let us go first, ya killing me.” Sonic asked Pinkie, who dropped them and bounced off to her house as Mighty, Fluttershy, Rainbow, Applejack, and Charmy helped them up and they took them to Pinkie’s house.
“That girl is a real pain.” Sonic mumbled as he rubbed the back of his head.
Later that night at Pinkie’s house, in Pinkie’s bedroom, Pinkie was on her laptop going through her profile; Shadow was leaning back on the wall with his arms crossed; Rarity was going through her phone with Fluttershy, Sunset, and Cream; Tails was reprogramming Metal so he can act more friendly with Cheese watching; Applejack, Rainbow, Sonic, Mighty, Ray, Knuckles, Vector, and Espio played a 8-player fighting game while Rouge watched; and Twilight and Amy was busy write on a notebook on Pinkie’s bed.
“Status updates: ‘Okie-dokie-lokie.’” Pinkie said to herself as she type in the what she just said before.
Rarity turned her phone sideways and lifted it up above her and her upper lip looked looked like a cat and Sunset smiled big, Cream ears formed a heart and smile, and Fluttershy just smiled and looked a tiny bit shy and the fashionista took the selfie and put the phone down to see it, and saw Charmy, Ray, and Spike photobombing it. Rarity gave a annoyed glare at Charmy, Ray, and Spike as Fluttershy, Cream, and Sunset giggled. Rainbow, Applejack, Sonic, Knuckles, Mighty, Vector, and Espio were at one life and at a high percent and while Espio kept his cool, the others were ferociously mashing button and Rouge pushed down the power button before anyone could win, causing Knuckles and Applejack to yell at her which made her giggle.
“What in the heck Rouge?!” Rainbow asked the bat girl.
“Come on, see the cowgirl and the echidna angry is not a big of an issue.” Rouge answered as she sat up straight and put her left leg on top her right leg.
“Well I was going to win anyway until you messed me up.” Vector told as Sonic playfully rolled his eyes and shrug to Espio, who smiled.
Espio turns his head to Twilight and Amy and asked, “Hey Twilight, Amy, how’s that counter-spell coming along?”
“Huh? Oh, uh, good. Great.” Twilight answered to the ninja chameleon, then turned to Fluttershy and said, “Thanks for letting me use your notebook, Fluttershy.”
“And the song you wrote is really great for the band.” Amy added.
“Thank you two.” Fluttershy said to Twilight and Amy, then sighed and mumbled, “Hopefully one day, we'll get a chance to play it.” Fluttershy looked Rainbow Dash, holding Applejack’s controller and held her back from the controller.
“Twilight, I think I speak for all of us when I say I don't know what we would have done if you, Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy hadn't come back to help us.” Rarity said to Twilight, causing the princess to cover the book so Rarity couldn’t see it and after Rarity told Twilight, the others agreed.
“Without you guys, we wouldn’t stand a single chance against the Dazzlings.” Charmy added to what Rarity said, then suddenly, the doorbell rang.
“Pizza’s here!” Pinkie shouted as she, Applejack, Rarity, Fluttershy, Rainbow, , Sunset, Sonic, Knuckles, Amy, Mighty, Ray, Rouge, Cream, Cheese, Vector, Espio, And Charmy zipped out the room with Shadow walking behind to the door. Tails didn’t follow and Twilight was too busy think of spell and when she looked, it was just scribbles and at the bottom of the page, it was a simplified drawing of her singing at a poorly version of Adagio.
“Hey ya’ two! Pizza’s here.” Pinkie said with pizza in her mouth, snapping Tails and Twilight back to reality and they quickly nodded and Tails flew to the kitchen and Twilight put the notebook inside Pinkie’s drawer, which had a large swirled lollipop and some candy. Twilight looked back and sighed and followed the group into the kitchen.
Later that midnight, everyone was fast asleep except Twilight, who grabbed the notebook from the drawer sneaked into the kitchen without stepping on Applejack, Shadow, Sunset, and Cream & Cheese.
Twilight was in the kitchen table, writing in the notebook with her mouth and just like before, she couldn’t think of a counter-spell and she slowly got frustrated that she kept failing.
“No. That's not gonna work.” Twilight said to herself, but heard a voice singing outside and grabbed a the notebook and headed outside.
Twilight slowly opened the door and followed the singing voices and slowly made it to the backyard to see Tails singing how he can believe in himself and Twilight watched the two-tailed fox sing as her eyes shined bright like stars. When Tails finished singing his song, he opened his eyes to see Tails standing in front of him looking in awe, causing him to jump back and the same with Twilight.
“Y-You d-didn’t h-hear me s-singing, r-right?” Tails nervously asked as his entire face was blushing red uncontrollably.
“N-No, I-I only heard a tiny bit. Some of it.” Twilight nervously chuckled and rubbed the back of her head as her face blushed red uncontrollably.
It was a awkward silence between the two of them and Twilight slowly walked up to Tails and put her hand out while trying not to make eyes contact. Tails grabbed her hand and tried not to make eye contact and Twilight help him up from the ground and the two looked at each other and blushed uncontrollably again and quickly looked away from each other.
“I feel super embarrassed about this!” Tails said to break the awkward silence and looked down with his hand behind his back.
Twilight lifted up Tails’ head and told him, “You don’t have to feel embarrassed, your voice is just...wow! I think it’s the most beautiful thing out of all of this...” Twilight and Tails looked at each other with suddenly turning red and looked at each other eyes and their cheeks turned red.
“You two are up late.” a voice said, causing Twilight and Tails eyes to widen and their pupils to shrink and quickly turned to look to see Sunset with a smirk and her arms crossed. “What were you two doing anyway?” Sunset asked.
“W-Well you see. I was. What I meant to say. I-I...” Twilight stopped mid-sentence as her and Tails face turned bright red again.
“Well it seems like I was interrupting something important.” Sunset teased the two, causing them to look down, same with Sunset shortly after. “I’m sorry if I’m going to far.” Sunset apologized.
“It’s nothing to apologize about, I was just singing, then Twilight heard me singing and...” Tails stopped himself.
“You two don’t have to put so much pressure on yourself.” Sunset told Tails and Twilight, which stopped their face from being bright red.
“I know, but this counter-spell has to be perfect.” Twilight told Sunset.
“Must be nice to have everyone always looking to you for answers to their problems...instead of waiting for you to cause a problem.” Sunset said as she took out a can a whip cream and put a tiny bit on her finger and turned her head to the window and looked at the others sleeping.
“And because of that, everyone expects something from you that isn’t always 100% guaranteed.” Tails added as she looked up at the sky and saw a constellation of him and Sonic giving each other a high five.
“But it doesn’t stop them from expecting it.” Sunset added.
“Which only makes things harder because the last thing you want to do is...” Twilight added as she looked at the page in the notebook.
“let everybody down.” Twilight, Tails, and Sunset said at the same thing and Tails and Twilight looked at Sunset and vice-versa and gave each other awkward smiles.
“Hello there.” a voice said to Twilight, Sunset, and Tails, scaring the life out of them and the voice was from Pinkie’s older sister, Maud Pie and in her hands was a small boulder (not a rock) “Boulder wanted to look outside for a bit.” Maid told the three.
“I still can't get over the fact that she's related to Pinkie Pie.” Sunset hushed to Tails and Twilight.
“Yeah, both Tails and I.” Twilight hushed to Sunset while Tails nodded in agreement.
Sunset yawned and said, “I better get some sleep. Good luck with the counter-spell. Not that you'll need it. This must be nothing compared with the stuff you're expected to deal with as a princess in Equestria.” Sunset said before walking back inside the house with caused Twilight to looked a bit worried.
“Sunset Shimmer? ...Never mind. It's not important. No, I have to be able to do this. I have to.” Twilight said as she and Tails got walked back inside the house to go to sleep.
Meanwhile at Sweet Apple Acres, the group were getting ready for rehearsal and shortly played their instruments (Rainbow Dash and Sonic: Electric Guitar; Applejack, Knuckles and Mighty: Bass; Fluttershy and Cream: Tambourine; Charmy, Pinkie, and Amy: Drums; Vector: Electric Keyboard; Espio: Shamisen; Ray: Piano; Rouge: Electric Guitar (Jazz); Rarity: Keytar; Twilight and Tails: Lead Singer; and Cheese: Back up singer).
Twilight and Tails began to sing the beginning lyrics slightly off key, then a high pitch screech was heard, causing the two to sing out of pitch (sort of). Sunset turned the knob to change the pitch, but it caused the same high pitched screech to be heard again, but a bit more painful. Fluttershy gave a awkward smile to Twilight, which caused Shadow to shake his head ‘no’ and she stop playing.
Shortly after, Rainbow silent told Fluttershy to start back playing. The 3rd screech was heard again, causing Applejack, Rarity, and Ray to back down from the noise, then they gave a shrug to each other and looked at Pinkie, Charmy, and Amy with the former two trying to keep the drum stick on their hand. Amy shook the two and they quickly snapped back to reality to see Applejack, Rarity, and Ray giving them looks as the three began to play. Outside the barn house, Granny Smith was walking by and took out two already eaten apples and plugged them in her eyes and she continued walking by.
Twilight and Tails continued singing and looked at the lyric notes to be nothing but crossed out words and Rainbow and Sonic played their electric guitars and a glowing light above Rainbow’s head was shining. After the song ended, Rainbow and Sonic looked around and saw that no one was happy, causing the two to make a frown face.
“Eh, that sounded... way better than the last... five times you've played it.” Spike said, trying to not sound unsupportive followed up by a nervous chuckle.
“Nnope” Big Mac said outside as he walked pasted the barn yard.
“I think it's pretty obvious what's going wrong with this counter-spell.” Rainbow pointed out.
“You're turnin' what should be the chorus into a five-minute guitar solo?” Applejack said as she, Knuckles, Mighty, and Rarity gave her annoyed looks.
“I have to pick up the slack somehow!” said Rainbow as she tried to defend herself. “Are you guys even trying?!” Rainbow asked the band.
“I’m trying.” Cream said.
“And plus, the song not even done yet.” Amy added.
“It’s fine.” Twilight said to Cream and then nervously laughed. “It'll be fine. One more time from the top!” Twilight said, then was about to sing into the microphone, but Shadow covered her mouth and looked slump.
“Could you finish the song first?” Shadow asked Twilight, which she nodded her head as the black hedgehog moved his hand away from Twilight’s mouth.
“Or, perhaps we could take a short break, try on some of the wardrobe choices I've put together? I'm particularly fond of this one.” Rarity suggested as she pulled her small wardrobe and put on a hot pink dress with glitter on it, yellow shoulder pads, and a yellow line the goes around he neck collet and down the the bottom of the dress, creating a yellow boarder at the bottom. “Eh, of course we could always go with something a bit more modern.” Rarity said as she looked at the dress while Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy gave each other a raised eyebrow.
“In case you haven’t notice, we’re trying to save the world, not thinking about what costume we’re suppose to wear!” Mighty told Rarity, who was now in a robotic yellow helmet and a yellow suit.
”Oh, you can never have enough costumes!” Rarity said in a robotic voice as she turned away from Mighty with her arms crossed.
“She just wants to make things fun Mighty! Isn't that what being in a band supposed to be?” Charmy said to Mighty looking bored, then Pinkie played ‘rimshot’ and looked bored as well.
“We don’t have time for any of this!” Sunset told the others. “You're supposed to check in at the Battle of the Bands in fifteen minutes!”
“Fifteen minutes!” The group shouted as the same time as they began to gather their instruments.
“What? But it's not ready! If we play our counter-spell in the first round and it doesn't work, the sirens will know what we're up to and make sure we don't get a chance to play it again!” Twilight said in one breath as the others immediately stopped in their place and looked at Twilight.
“Then we’ll try our best to give you enough time to think on that counter spell of yours.” Espio said to Twilight.
“But how do you propose we do that?” Rarity asks.
“We compete in the Battle of the Bands for real!” Rainbow answered to the others. “I’ll take over Twilight’s lead vocals again and we stay alive until the finals! We unleash the counter-spell then!” Rainbow said as she turns to Twilight. “You'll have figured it out by finals, right?” Rainbow asks.
“Of course she will. Twilight Sparkle's never met a problem she couldn't solve.” Spike confidently said to the group as he turns to Twilight. “Right, Twilight?” Spike asked as Twilight awkwardly shook her head and gave a thumbs up.
“Twi knows what she’s doing ya know.” Sonic added.
“Then let's go win us a Battle of the Bands!” Rainbow said as both her and Sonic were about to run to the school, but they immediately stopped in their track by Espio.
“But we can’t compete without a band name, do anyone have any suggestions?” Espio asked the group, but they couldn’t think of a name.
“How bout ‘Chaos Rainbooms’ if that’s what ya askin’.” Granny Smith said as she walked into the backyard as she bit into an apple.
“That’s doesn’t sound that bad.” Tails said as the group nodded in agreement.
“Think about it. You guys used the Chaos Emeralds before and create rainbows with the magic of friendship.” Sunset said.
“Well no more waitin’ around, let’s get to the auditions as fast as we can!” Sonic said as he zipped off in the blue streak and Shadow followed in a yellow streak and the rest of the Chaos Rainbooms and Sunset followed too as Twilight stayed behind with Spike as she waved awkwardly.
“Are you sure you got this Twilight?” Spike asked his friend, which she responded by quickly shaking her head, causing the purple dog to gulp worriedly.
“We can’t just stand here doing nothing. Come on Spike.” Twilight said as Spike jump in her backpack as Twilight picked it up, put it on her back, and ran to CHS as fast as she can.
Meanwhile at CHS gym room, all the students sat on the bleachers and gave each other glaring looks and stayed in their own band group and stopped doing so when Principal Celestia and Vice Principal Luna walked up on stage.
Celestia tapped the microphone three times to see if it was working, which it and said, “Welcome students to the first ever Canterlot High School Battle of the Bands. I believe I speak for everyone when I say it is by far the greatest thing we have ever done here at this school!”
The students cheered with excitement as they pumped their fists in the air, gave each team members fist bumps, high fives, and nodded to one another.
“We are so glad our three newest students encouraged us to turn this event into something exciting!” Celestia added as she pointed her hand out to the Dazzlings and Sonata waved at everyone with a big smile on her face, Adagio swaying her hair back and crossed her legs, and Aria looking at Adagio and back to Celestia and Luna.
Celestia handed the mic to her sister for her speak as she said, “But their can only be one band that can become victorious, but who could it be?” This cause all the students to stop cheering and gave mean looks to one another and shortly after, everyone began to argue as the green aura surrounds them as fly into the Dazzlings’ necklaces, which causes their eyes to turn red for a second before their eyes turned back to normal.
“Getting our magic back is the easiest thing ever, these students are so easy to manipulate.” Aria said to Adagio and Sonata.
“And the best thing about it is that we’re only at half our magic and I can feel it being so close to reaching!” Adagio said as she clenched onto her necklace and eyes turning red again before turning back to normal when the double doors burst open for it to be Sonic and Shadow stopping in the middle of the gym.
“Hey! It those two from that group of students from earlier before?” Sonata asked the two as they also looked at the two hedgehogs. “Why do they look the same?” Sonata asked as the other sirens groaned.
“It is and so are the rest of them.” Adagio said as they looked at the rest of the Chaos Rainbooms catching up with Sonic and Shadow.
“But they aren’t affected by our magic. So how are we supposed to get their magic.” Aria asks Adagio.
“They just need a little...push in the wrong direction, but it’s not going to be easy to do so, but I have a feeling that they aren’t letting them win and they’ll give them a bad time as it happens.” Adagio told Aria as the Chaos Rainbooms watched the students arguing with each other, but what the Dazzlings attention was Flash Sentry talking to Twilight and Adagio just smiled as she looked down at them.
“Next up is Snips and Snails for their performance!” Principal Celestia said in the microphone as both her and Vice Principal Luna walked over to the small table in the middle of the gym and sat down in the chairs.
Snips and Snails walked onto the stage in their “rapping” like backward caps, sunglasses, gold necklaces, and a jacket as well outfits and the lights were on them now and they began their song.
(Look I don’t normally do this, but I refuse to put their song in more detail, so after 1 and a half minutes later, Snails crossed his and Snips dropped the microphone, creating a loud, screeching noise causing everyone to cover their ears.)
“Well...that was uh...an interesting performance. Also, don’t drop the microphone again.” Principal Celestia said to Snips while her sister was rating their performance as they walked off-stage and taunting the Chaos Rainbooms, but they walked slightly faster when Shadow growled at them.
“That was the most unbearable performance I ever heard in my entire life!” Ray said.
“Well at least they the least of our worries gettin’ into the finals.” Applejack to the band.
“Let show them how awesome our band is!” Rainbow Dash also said.
“Wait!” Pinkie told Dash, then asks, “Where’s Rarity?
“Oh! Here! I'm here!” A female student voice called out, grabbing the group's attention to see it was Rarity in a new musical showcase outfit as she stood up straight and posed in style, but her friends didn’t give a reaction, except Cheese by looking confused as his orb changed to a question mark.
“So what’s with a of...this?” Espio asked Rarity as he stuck his hand out at the outfits, which caused her to look slightly confused.
“Well we’ll be performing in front of an audience, and it would be an act of crime if I didn’t wear something fabulous?” Rarity said as she turned back to her friends and then swayed her hair as she stood with her hand in her hip and her leg up front the other, which made Applejack to groan and put her hand on her face and Sonic giving a sigh and shrug.
“Remember, we’ll need to be good enough to make it through but not so good we let the sirens see the magic within us. They could realize we plan to use it against them.” Twilight told the band before they walked up stage.
“Got it! Be cool enough to win, but not so cool that we end up showing off the whole ears and tails and rainbows thing. Sooo... about twenty percent less cool.” Rainbow said in her own type of language.
“And while we’re doing amazing, Twi can have more time to think of that counter spell against those girls!” Sonic added as he looks over to Twilight as she gave an awkward smile and rubbing the back of her head. “Are ya sure you got this just like Spike said?” The blue hedgehog asked, which she quickly replied by nodding.
“Now let’s go up there and Rock ‘n’ Roll!” Charmy cheered as the Chaos Rainbooms ran up stage as Sunset, Spike, Twilight, and Shadow stayed behind.
“I hope they do go up there.” Spike worryingly said.
“Well I’m more concerned about those students?” Shadow said, causing the purple dog to zip out of Sunset’s hands and beside Twilight, who was sitting near the wall trying to think of an counter spell. “They seem to be more aggressive than before and who know what they could be up to?” Shadow added as he looked at the students standing in their own band and giving other teams mean looks and some cracking their fist as well.
“You do have a point.” Twilight said, the she also said, “If anything goes wrong up there, make sure you stop it before if gets worse.” Shadow nodded before he turned his back away from Twilight and looked at the Chaos Rainbooms.
Up on stage, the Chaos Rainbooms looked down at the other band team and looked a bit worried that they’re still under the Dazzlings’ control.
“Okay team, lets try our best to make ourselves great, but not too much just like Twilight said.” Vector hushed to the Chaos Rainbooms.
“So let’s get this thing startin’!” Mighty also hushed towards the Chaos Rainbooms.
“One, Two!” Charmy and Pinkie yelled as they hit their drum sticks together to began playing.

The Chaos Rainbooms sang, trying their best to make it to the finals, but Prim Hemline and her band planned to ruin the Chaos Rainbooms’ performance and to do so, she pulled out to magnets attached to a line.

Prim hoisted the two magnets down to Rarity and the metal fringes in her clothes were now attached to magnets, lifting Rarity off the ground a few inches, then Prim started to mess with the fashionista and move her like a puppet, which caused Applejack, Vector, and Shadow to look a bit skeptical, but only Shadow noticed it since Applejack and Vector couldn’t do anything and the black hedgehog quickly makes his way up on the platform before it gets worse.

Meanwhile, Shadow reached Prim and her band mates rushed towards and snatched the string that was used for the magnets and materialized a yellow spear in his hand and cut the sting, allow Rarity to move freely and Prim and her band walked away from Shadow, but not before one of them growled at him.

They Chaos Rainbooms continued performing and Snips and Snails sneaked up the platform and grabbed on of the headlights and moved it on above Fluttershy’s head and everyone had their eyes on her, but they couldn’t stop snickering and Shadow stood behind them and threw them off the platform and onto some bags to break their falls.

The Chaos Rainbooms finished their performance and expected it to be horrible, but to their shock, a few of the students and Principal Celestia and Vice Principal Luna applauded to their performance which caused the Rainbooms eyes to widen and their pupils to shrink, but it quickly faded as they gave each other high fives.
“Well that went better than I thought it would be?” Ray said as they walked to the backstage with Sunset, Twilight, and Spike were.
“This is absolutely dreadful!” Rarity cried out. “These stupid magnets won’t get off of my newest outfit and it making my arms hurt from keeping them up after that!”
“I think they’re some scissors in a classroom to take them off of you.” Cream said to Rarity.
“Well at least you guys did better than the other band, but it won't matter if you don't have that counter-spell ready. You all find a place to practice where the sirens can't hear you. I'll keep an eye on things around here.” Sunset told the Chaos Rainbooms, then they turned their heads to Twilight, but she was too busy trying to think of the counter spell.
“So how that counter spell coming along Twilight?” Rainbow asked, which caused Twilight to put the book down and look at her friends.
“It um...going great!” Twilight nervously answered, but Spike only looked at her with an raised eyebrow and said nothing as he jumped into her backpack.
“Well you have to think about one quick before things get worse than it already has.” Knuckles said as Shadow landed on his feet next to Sonic, which startled him by surprise.
“Way to make grand entrance there bud!” Sonic responded to Shadow with his arms crossed.
“Hmph, the thing about those students is that some of band mates are getting worse.” Shadow said to the Chaos Rainbooms, which made them a little bit worried.
“So you’re saying that they were trying to sabotage our performance so and make everything really difficult for us?” Pinkie said in one breath and asked if she was correct, which the black hedgehog responded by a nod.
“I don’t mean to sound demanding, but you have to think about that counter spell really quick!” Rouge told Twilight, which she nervously smiled.
“Let’s find a place where the sirens can’t here us.” Espio said as they left out the door, but before they left, Rouge grabbed Shadow’s hand and dragged him with the others and group left the gym with Shadow leaving Sunset behind to watch over things and saw Derpy and her band performing.
As they left out the gym, the Dazzlings looked at them and then looked at each other and giggled, then Adagio told the two, “So they made it through the performance with barely any trouble? Alright girls, let’s trying something a bit more different. Adagio looked down at Flash Sentry and Aria and Sonata also looked at Flash and the three sirens smiled as their ruby necklaces glowed bright.
While the Chaos Rainbooms and Shadow walked down the hallway, Twilight bumped into Flash Sentry for the second time on the the same day. Twilight acted super nervous around Flash, but instead of saying anything, he turns his head away from her, which took the others by surprise, especially Shadow.
“Do you guys hear something?” Flash asked his band mates as they acted like they didn’t hear a thing from Twilight.
“Well what she was-“ Sonic was rudely interrupted immediately by Flash just like Twilight.
“And there goes another one! So annoying!” Flash annoyingly said as he turned his back away from the Chaos Rainbooms.
“Why are you acting like this Flash? I thought we were friends?” Twilight asked Flash, which caused him to snap at her.
“Yeah so you can use me to become popular just like what Sunset did to me!” Flash bursted out to Twilight, then said, “And to think we were friends to begin with!”
“But that not-“ Twilight tried to tell Flash, but Applejack stopped her before things got worse and headed to find a classroom.
“You really think you're gonna help them?! Ha! I bet you have no idea what you're even doing!” Flash shouted as the Chaos Rainbooms walked away, making Twilight shed a tear while the Dazzlings watched from the middle of the hallway and chuckled after the scene, but Shadow was furious from what Flash was saying to Twilight and dashed towards Flash and forced him near the lockers, which took everyone by surprise and shock.
“What did you say about Twilight!” Shadow angrily growled at Flash as he grabbed his shirt and raised his at Flash.
“I said the only reason she came back was just to become popular and win the competition!” Flash answered to Shadow, trying to push him away, but all it did caused him to glow red and before Shadow could harmed him, Sonic, Applejack, and Knuckles grabbed Shadow and pulled him away from Flash, but they were struggling against the angry black hedgehog because of his Chaos ability.
“C-C-Calm down Shadow! You can’t punch him, you’ll get in big trouble for that!” Sonic warned Shadow, but Shadow ignored him.
“I don’t care if I get in trouble, I refuse to let anybody talk bad about my friends!” Shadow angrily responded to Sonic as he knocked them off his body.
“We know, but ya can’t harm Flash or else ya make thing worse!” Applejack shouted to Shadow, but he still didn’t listen.
“You’re just giving the Dazzlings more magic to feed off of Shadow, just end it already!” Knuckles told Shadow as his eyes widen and his pupils shrunk as he began to change back to his normal state while Sonic, Applejack, and Knuckles let go of him step back a bit.
“Come on guys. Let’s leave before things get even worse than it already has been,” Twilight said as they walked away from Flash and his band so they can find a classroom with Shadow following too.
“A two-for-one deal already? This is only the first round,” Adagio said as the negative energy from Shadow went inside their necklaces, which caused them to glow red eyes and grow wings for a second before they turned back to normal.
“Looks like we’ll get our magic faster than we expected,” Aria said to Adagio and Sonata as she clenched her fist and grinned to the others.
“The next band to take the stage will be...Trixie and the Illusions!” Principal Celestia said through the inner-com.
“Better head back. We're supposed to go on after Trixie,” Adagio said to Aria and Sonata as the three girls headed their way to the gym.
“Geez, this school really need to fixed the lighting in here?” Sonata remarked, but Adagio put her and in the way as they stopped to see Sunset standing near the door and didn’t look happy to see them.
“You three just made the biggest mistake of your life!” said an upset Sunset Shimmer.
“Coming from the same bad girl who made everyone at this school to hate her? Seems a bit hypocritical don’t ya think?” Adagio teased Sunset, which took her back a bit. “You’ve gotten quite the reputation here at Canterlot High,” Adagio added as she, Aria, and Sonata slowly walked around her.
“I've changed! I'm in a much better place now!” Sunset quickly responded back at Adagio, trying to defend herself.
“You mean sitting in the back while the rest of your so called ‘friends’ are having fun,” Aria told Sunset, which caused her to feel worse about herself.
“Oh, yes, you guys are so tight. And yet... they didn't ask you to be in the band?” Adagio said to Sunset.
“Just face it bacon hair, nobody wants to see you guys play if you were up there!” Aria harshly told Sunset, which made her feel worse and she looked at her hair.
“Too bad! So sad!” Sonata teased Sunset, just adding fire to the fuel.
“If it's any consolation, no one is going to remember you at all by the time we're done.” Adagio said to Sunset as the Dazzlings walked by, but not before Adagio knocked Sunset out of the way and same with Sonata as Sunset tried to stay strong, but she couldn’t as she grabbed her arm and looked down at the ground.
Meanwhile in the gym, Principal Celestia and Vice Principal Luna looked at the stage, waiting for the Dazzlings to perform.
“Remember, girls. We want to save the good stuff for when our full power has been restored,” Adagio said to Aria and Sonata as their necklaces began to glow and then dimmed. The girls turned around and the curtains moved for the Dazzlings to start their performance.

The Chaos Rainbooms were up against Octavia as she played her cello while the Chaos Rainbooms were struggling and were about to lose, but Rainbow and Sonic were able to pull through and won against her and made it to the quarterfinals.

During one of the matches, Lyra and BonBon played the piano together against Trixie and the Illusions, but they quickly lost against Trixie. In a classroom, the Chaos Rainbooms were in a circle talking about the Dazzlings while Twilight was in the middle of it and was pressuring herself to make the counter spell work perfectly while the CMC were up to perform from the smoke as the light flashed like lightning.

In the gym, Vice Principal Luna crossed out Flash Sentry’s band after losing to the Dazzlings as they were now in the finals. The Vice Principal moved aside for Flash to see that he was eliminated from the competition, causing he to groan angrily and storm out of the gym as his two other bandmates look at him with upsetting looks as he left.
Meanwhile backstage, Sunset and the Chaos Rainbooms were discussing about the competition while Shadow was also listening with his arms crossed.
“This is it! Last round and you're in the finals!” Sunset told the Chaos Rainbooms as they were more encouraged than ever, then she looked over to Twilight and asked, “Unless you think the counter-spell is ready to be played now.”
Twilight holds the tight and looked down and uneasy, then Espio put his hand on her shoulder and said, “Don’t get too frightened and overwhelmed Twilight, the finals won’t be ready until tonight and we practice as much as we can and we promise to not let you down!” the purple chameleon said as the rest of the Chaos Rainbooms agreed, but Twilight moved Espio’s arm away from her and looked down on herself again as Sunset knows that Twilight doesn’t want to let her friends down.
“Do you guys have another spot for your band?” Shadow asked, which caused everyone to looked surprised.
“What are you saying Shadow?” Amy asked Shadow as his arms were now uncrossed and he had a small smile on his face.
“I’m saying that I wish to be a member of this band.” the black hedgehog replied as Rouge handed him a red and black guitar.
“But why now out of all the other times?!” Rarity annoyingly questioned.
Shadow simply answers by saying, “Sitting on the benches while the others do all the work is something I don’t want to go on, so you know what some may say, the more, the merrier.”
“Looks like you’re showing a bit of your soft side Shadow.” Fluttershy quietly said and quickly hid her face in her hair expecting him to become upset at her, but she took a peek and Shadow wasn’t upset at her as she took some deep breath.
“Well since Shadow joined, how ‘bout you Sunset Shimmer?” Mighty asked Sunset as she was about to say yes, but she can’t help remembering what Aria said to her.
“Just face it bacon hair, nobody wants to see you guys play if you were up there!” Aria said in Sunset’s flashback.
“No thanks, I rather watch you guys save the day, don’t want to hold you guys back.” Sunset quickly lied and nervously chuckled.
“I was just wondering. We haven't played any of our songs yet, and...” Cream asked Rainbow, but Rainbow stopped her before she could say more.
“It’s the semi-finals Cream. We gotta do ‘Awesome As I Wanna Be’!” Rainbow said
Cream was in lost for words and was about to say something, but she couldn’t and just gave Dash a ‘hold up’ expression.
A few minutes on front-stage, Trixie and the Illusions have already finished their performance and the audience cheered and clapped for her (to Trixie at least), including Principal Celestia and Vice Principal Luna as Trixie’s guitar pic was tossed on the sisters papers.
“That was fantastic!” Principal Celestia applauds as the lights turned back on and Trixie and the Illusions were about to go backstage until they saw the Chaos Rainbooms as they were about to perform too.
“Hmph. You're never gonna top that performance, ‘Rain-goons’. You shouldn't be allowed to when you have such a big advantage over the rest of us.” Trixie rudely said to Rainbow Dash and the rest of the Chaos Rainbooms.
“My superior guitar playing and off-the-charts awesome singing voice?” Rainbow bragged as Applejack, Vector, Cream, and Rarity rolled their eyes.
“Oh, don't be ridiculous. Your ‘superior’ guitar playing is comparable to a low-level hero! And don’t even get me started with that singing, ugh!” Trixie taunting, causing Rainbow to shoot her with a glaring look, but Trixie brushed it off and said, “I mean them!” the magician girl pointed at Twilight, Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy with Twilight’s cheeks turning red as she began to rub her hair while Sonic just chuckled cheekily. “You can’t bring some magical using heroes just win the Battle of the Bands.”
“Ha! Puh-leeze Trixie! Don’t be such a lame-o about it! I could win this thing as a solo act and everybody knows it!” Rainbow blurted out as the rest of Chaos Rainbooms we’re stunned to here what Rainbow just said.
Trixie scoffs and before leaving, she said, “Don’t be such a lame-o about it. Looks like you’ve already did it yourself.” Trixie throws a smoke bomb, creating smoke as the Chaos Rainbooms coughed as cleared the smoke away, but after they successfully cleared the room, she disappeared right in front of them.
“OH MY GOSH!” Charmy shouted as his hand were placed on the side of his face, but it quickly faded when Charmy literally spotted near the drum.
“Next up, the Rainbooms. said Principal Celestia through the inner-com.
“Knock 'em dead, Rainbooms!” Spike told the Chaos Rainbooms as they headed on stage while Spike, Twilight, and Sunset were standing near the double doors.
Later, the Chaos Rainbooms were about to perform “Awesome As I Wanna Be”
The song begins with the drummers beating on the drums, the guitarists played, and the others played along while Cream was bitter at Rainbow for before and Cheese emotion ball formed a yellow twister, meaning he was upset.

Rainbow sang as she slid to Tails and hopped up, catching him off guard and began playing away without seeing Tails roll his eyes. Rainbow surprised Applejack, Knuckles, and Vector as they were trying to do their best and just glared at her and as Rainbow went back to her microphone singing past Rarity, Rouge, and Ray with Rarity and Rouge didn’t look at Dash and looked a bit annoyed and Ray sighing and was a bit worried. Sonic had smile on his face and began to sing next to Rainbow side-by-side together, kinda like a mini competition.

Both Rainbow and Sonic jumped in air with the blue hedgehog playing the guitar upside for a few seconds, then the lights went out, then on again showing the two back on the stage, but playing their guitars in a different position, then again, but Rainbow swinging her hair off her face as sweats droplets flew off and Sonic gave Rainbow a grin, and so did she and they played their guitars next to each other while Pinkie, Charmy, and Amy were bored and began to space out. Rainbow and Sonic hoped forward towards the two principals and all the lights were now on them.
The rest of the Chaos Rainbooms were annoyed at both Rainbow and Sonic for trying to take the performance as a duo and suddenly, Rainbow’s hair began to glow and Shadow tried to get her attention, but Rainbow nor Sonic heard them and Sunset started to panic for a brief moment and without hesitation, tackled both Sonic and Rainbow, causing them to knock Tails down on the floor, then leading to Rarity to hit Vector and Rouge, as the crocodile fell down on Applejack, Knuckles, and Mighty, Applejack bass guitar fell away from her and bounce off of Charmy’s head as he began to see star circling around him and he fell down on the floor unconscious.
The gym lights turned on and the music stopped and Fluttershy quickly ran backstage with her face covered and Espio turned invisible and snuck backstage too. As Rainbow got up, the glowing spot on her hair faded out and gave Sunset a harsh look. The Chaos Rainbooms helped each other up and Vector picked up Charmy over shoulder. Sunset looked at the two principals and they weren’t too thrilled to see what Sunset just did to the Chaos Rainbooms performance.
“Now that's the bad girl we love to hate!” Flash called out as the other students began jeering at Sunset.
“I knew she was still trouble!” Octavia added, causing Sunset’s face to turn bright red and looked at the others with Cream’s pouting at her and grabbed ahold of Cheese; Pinkie and Ray looked at her with frowns; and the rest not turning their backs to Sunset.
“No. It...” Sunset stopped herself and followed the Chaos Rainbooms backstage and from the seating area, the Dazzling giggled at each other, then they held on their necklaces as they felt a tiny bit of the negative energy.
“Looks like they’ve almost reaches their breaking point girls.” Adagio said to Aria and Sonata as their eyes glowed red and reverted back to normal and smiled menacingly.
Shortly after the Chaos Rainbooms’ “performance” and they headed backstage, the group weren’t too fond with the stunt Sunset pulled. Cream was pouting and Cheese emote ball changed into a flame, Sonic impatiently tapping his feet with his arms crossed, Fluttershy hiding in her hair, Shadow with his back turned, and the rest were upset, except Charmy who is still knocked out after being hit by a bass guitar hit him on the head.
“Just what in the heck were you thinking” Rainbow bursted out at Sunset, causing her to feel horrible.
“Y-you were showing them your m-magic. I-I didn't know what else to do...” Sunset quick answered as her voice begins to crack, trying to tell her reasoning, but that didn’t work and caused nothing to change.
“Ugh. Close the curtains? Unplug her amp? Give us a chance to deal with the situation?” Rarity told Sunset different opportunities she could’ve done.
“The first choice would’ve been less bad, but it will still cause us too lose.” Tails told the fashionista, then said, ”Same with the second option and how could she even get our attention if we were too busy trying to play onstage?” Rarity simply brushed it off anyway.
“And Dash, Sonic, just what in tarnation were ya thinkin’!” Applejack question the two with a look and a serious tone in her voice.
“Well I was showing the crowd out awesome my guitar skill, then Sonic came in and we played against each other to see who’s better.” Rainbow defended herself as Sonic was nodding with her, but not before they were knocked on the head by Knuckles.
“OW!” Both Rainbow Dash and Sonic cried out. “What the that for?!” They asked the red echidna.
“We’re trying to beat the Dazzling from they magic and free the students, but you two are taking it as a joke!” Knuckles harshly told Rainbow and Sonic, then the blue hedgehog ran up to Knuckles faces and his face was bitter towards him.
“Listen knucklehead, we’re taking it seriously and I don’t think wanna hear from an echidna that was easily trick by Dr. Eggman, twice!” Sonic shot back at Knuckles, causing him to grit his teeth, clench his fist as both Sonic and Knuckles were about to fight and luckily, Pinkie stopped the two from fighting.
“Good, great, magnificent show, ‘Chaos Rain-brooms’.” A female voice taunted, which it was Trixie mocking the Chaos Rainbooms “performance” as she grabs Sunset’s shoulder and said, “I especially liked the part where Sunset Shimmer, in a fit of jealous rage, knocked out Rainbow Dash and Sonic mid-guitar solo which if you ask me, was probably the nicest thing she ever done for me.”
Sunset slaps Trixie’s hand off of her as her cheeks turned pink and quickly shot back saying, “It wasn't a fit of jealous rage!” Sunset turns her head to the Chaos Rainbooms to see them to look away from her, making Sunset look even more embarrassed as she held her arm and look down.
“If you say so.” Trixie nonchalantly said as her eyes were on Principal Celestia and Vice Principal Luna talking on the opposite side, which made the female magician excited. “Ooh! Looks like they've already decided who'll be moving on to the finals! I'm guessing it wasn't too difficult a decision.” Trixie mockingly added as she takes out her small mirror to sway her hair out at Sunset.
The double open and only Sunset notice the Dazzling harmonizing near the two principals since Trixie wasn’t paying attention and the Chaos Rainbooms were discussing about something, but Sunset’s attention was dragged away by Rarity and how she couldn’t use the outfit she made for the finals.
“Yep, truly a tragedy. The dress is more important instead of the competition.” Applejack said to Rarity in a teasing way.
“You know perfectly well that is not what I meant Applejack!” Rarity raised her voice at the cowgirl as the two were face-to-face before Rainbow pushed the two away from each other.
“You guys wanna keep it down? They're about to announce who's moving on.” Dash told the two girls.
“Does it really matter anyway Dash? We’re not going to winning anyway.” Ray told Rainbow as he hangs upside down with his tail.
Back onstage, the two sisterly principals walked on to announce the winning band in the semifinals to move to the finals against the Dazzlings.
Principal Celestia takes out her microphone and says, “The band that will be joining the Dazzlings in tonight's finals...” Trixie wasn’t worried at all because she knew she already won while Sunset knew the she cause their chance of winning to 0%. “...The Chaos Rainbooms!” Celestia finished, which was a huge surprise for Trixie, Sunset, the Chaos Rainbooms, and the rest of the students.
Trixie turns away and storms out the backstage, but not before saying, “This isn’t over!” After Trixie walked down to the crowd as she stomped her feet, it woke up Charmy and he saw himself on Vector shoulder.
“Whoa...what happened, and why is Vector holding for some reason?” the dazed bee asked the Chaos Rainbooms.
“Well it turns out we won!” Fluttershy told Charmy as his eyes were like stars and he had a huge smile on his face as he flew off of the crocodile as they head up onstage.
“Congratulations, you all. You deserve it.” Principal Celestia told the Chaos Rainbooms and only Rainbow, Sonic, Vector, and Charmy were excited to move to the finals, the others were perplexed to know the they won, even though their performance was ruined.
“Seriously?! We didn't even finish our—!” Pinkie tried to tell Principal Celestia and Vice Principal Luna, but Rainbow quickly hit her on the side before she could say anything else, making Pinkie frown at her.
Adagio, Aria, and Sonata appeared from backstage as Adagio congratulate the Chaos Rainbooms while still playfully teasing them by saying, “See you at tonight's big show, Chaos Rainbooms. We are really looking forward to it.” Sonic smiled and walked up to Adagio before the Dazzlings left, surprising the Dazzlings and the Chaos Rainbooms. The blue hedgehog stuck his hand out so they can give a handshake and Adagio stuck her hand out and the two began to shake hands. “Say, what’s your name anyway?” Adagio asked.
“My name is Sonic, Sonic the Hedgehog.” the blue hedgehog answered while waving his finger on his free hand with his left shoe crossed to his right shoe as he saw a grin from Adagio.
“Well then Sonic, you and your friends should really step up your game, I hope you cuties can show my what you really got.” Adagio said, which Sonic agreed too and the Dazzlings and Sonic walked away from each other.
As soon as Sonic got back to the Chaos Rainbooms, the crowd began to booing and jeering and the the group were walking out the gym through the crowd with multiple students saying they shouldn’t have won and the Chaos Rainbooms quickly made it out of there while on the other side, Trixie was still furious after losing to the Chaos Rainbooms.
“This is a travesty! A travesty!” Trixie cried out.
“It really is!” Adagio said to Trixie from behind. “The Chaos Rainbooms don't deserve to be in the finals. Not when your band was so much better in the semis.” Adagio added while sounding sympathetic toward Trixie, trying to manipulate her by messing with her ego instead of singing to get what they want.
“And wanted it so much more.” Aria added
“Alas, this is the way it's going to be. Dazzlings vs. Chaos Rainbooms, it’s sounds much better if it was Dazzlings vs. Trixie and the Illusions, right?” Adagio asked, which made Trixie question it for a moment.
“Unless, of course, the Chaos Rainbooms don't manage to make it to their set or held up for some reason?” Sonata brought up as both Adagio and Aria look at Trixie with sly looks as the magician had a evil grin, followed up by a sinister laugh.
Meanwhile at the concert where the finals are held at, the Chaos Rainbooms were getting their instruments set up, (except Twilight, who was still trying to come up with the counter spell and was getting more anxious with all the previous events that happened) Rainbow Dash tested the microphone to see if it send a feedback, but nothing echoes from it and watching near the control settings, Sunset turned the switch to the highest and when Dash tested it again, the microphone feedback worked, too well in fact that it echoed really loud it sent a piercing screech, make it worse as Sunset quickly turned it down before it can cause damage.
“How did even make it to the finals?” Amy asked the group. “Trixie and her band played better than us, but somehow we won?”
“You’re so right Rosey, we should’ve won instead of you.” a female voice said to mock Amy’s old nickname as the they turned their backs to see Trixie again, but also her two other bandmates behind her.
“What did you just call me!” Amy yelled as she tried to get near the magician girl, but Applejack held her back before things got messy.
“Hey Trixie, aren’t you supposed to be sitting down there where the losers are.” Rainbow responded to Trixie as she pointed her finger to the seating area the audience will watch.
“The Great and Powerful Trixie is the most talented girl at Canterlot High. It is Iwho deserves to be in the finals.” Trixie declares. “And I will not be denied!” Trixie told as she snapped her fingers and one of the band members pulled the lever to open the trap door underneath the Chaos Rainbooms and Sunset and the student quickly closed the door before either Tails, Cream, Charmy, Cheese, Rouge, or Ray could escape. “See you never!” Trixie taunted, then laughed evilly, then stopped to say, “Let’s go tell Principal Celestia the unfortunatenews.” watching near the entrance, the Dazzlings have saw what Trixie successful did and their plan was almost complete.
“Well it looks like Sonic failed to keep his promise, poor thing.” Adagio said as she faked feeling let down, but Sonata didn’t understand what she meant as Aria begrudgingly had to tell her the true meaning. After that before the siren were about to leave, Adagio had something new on her mind as she, Aria, and Sonata went to the door where the Chaos Rainbooms were trapped inside and used their magic to create a magic barrier, so they couldn’t escape and they were amazed by their magic and as they left, the Dazzlings began to think about their powers and get revenge on Equestria. Spike saw what happened and began to desperately find someone who can help.
Later that night, Trixie and the Illusions performance onstage in the finals while underneath, the Chaos Rainbooms were still trapped while Knuckles, Mighty, and Vector tried to break open the door, but nothing happened.
“Give it up, boys. Y’all been tryin' at this for hours. It's not gonna open.” Applejack told the 3 and while Mighty and accepted defeat, Knuckles didn’t and kept trying, causing the cowgirl to facepalm herself.
“Maybe it doesn't even matter that we're trapped down here. I don't think the counter-spell would have worked anyway.” Twilight told her friends with her arms crossed as she felt that they failed the school.
“Of course it would have worked, Twilight. Assumin' a certain band member didn't try to hog the spotlight the whole time we were tryin' to play it!” Applejack said to Twilight as her voice became sarcastic as she looked towards Rainbow.
“Hey! If you wanna tell Twilight she's getting a little too caught up trying to be the new leader of this band, you don't have to be all cryptic about it.” Rainbow shot back to Applejack.
“AJ was talking about you, Dash!” Charmy told Rainbow as he casually flew around her.
“Me?! I'm just trying to make sure my band rocks as hard as it needs to and also, Sonic wasn’t the only one!” Rainbow tried to defend herself while putting Sonic in the conversation.
“OUR BAND!!” Rarity, Rouge, Cream, Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie, Charmy, Mighty, Vector, and Ray shouted at Dash.
“But why wasn't it working? I should know what to do. How could I not know what to do? How could I have failed like this?” Twilight said as she was putting herself down and Sunset watched before her worrying attention was caught by the others.
“Just because you thought of it doesn’t mean the your the boss Dash!” Vector angrily replied to Rainbow.
“And you’re also blaming me for this?!” Sonic asked in shock. “I mean really, you can’t take the blame yourself?!”
“I hate to agree, but Rainbow’s right, you also joined in and plus, haven’t you forgotten that this isn’t a joke!” Shadow told Sonic, which caused him to look confused.
“I’m sorry to tell you Shadow, but the only reason you joined is that Flash was mean to Twilight and you never considered joining before!” Sonic yelled at the black hedgehog as Shadow gritted his teeth and budded heads at Sonic as Tails and Amy held them back.
“I'm the one who writes all the songs!” Rainbow told the group causing Cream to sputter in disbelief and Fluttershy to become assertive.
“You don’t write all the songs! We do, but you won’t let us play any of them!” Fluttershy quietly shouted at Rainbow.
“I had the most perfect outfits for us to wear!” Rarity complained, which made Applejack groan loudly in annoyance.
“Rarity I gotta level with ya’, no one gives a shooting star attention about the costume.” Mighty politely told Rarity, making her look disgusted by his remark.
“Oh I’m sorry that you and Applejack don’t appreciate the beauty of my creative contribution for the band!” the fashionista shouted at the armadillo as he was take back by it.
“I can tell you guys one thing! It’s that being in the band is the exact opposite of fun!” Charmy and Pinkie shouted.
“And I would’ve been better off without the two of you!” Rouge yelled at Charmy and Pinkie as she turned her back away from them.
“And I wished I never asked you guys to be apart of my band!” Rainbow yelled at the group.
“Good because we didn’t care anyway!” the Chaos Rainbooms (except Twilight and Sunset) shouted as they started to argue, creating a small green and teal blue aura around them before it grew bigger.
Meanwhile above, Trixie and her band have finished their performance with the crowd cheering for her as she left and passed the Dazzlings before teasing them.
“That magician is as good as dead once we get our magic back.” Aria said as she cracked her knuckles, but was stopped by Adagio before she could cause any chaos.
“Hold it sis, let’s go onstage and then we can do whatever we desire.” Aria rolled her eyes and sighed, but followed so they can get finished their goal as they got up onstage.
At the same time however, the Chaos Rainbooms were at each other’s throats as their arguing created the negative energy the Dazzlings are feasting off on and Sunset tried to get their attention, she couldn’t help but remember what the Dazzlings and students at CHS said about her as started to burst into tears and sit near the wall and Twilight notices and looks back at the script stood up and held it tight.
“I had enough of this!” Twilight shouted as she slams the notebook to the ground while everyone in the room witness the pages flew out of it. “All of our arguing, the students jeering at us, and how we suddenly won the semifinals lead up to this and I couldn’t just think of the perfect counter-spell.” Twilight said as she glances over to Sunset, who looked back before quickly hiding in her knees.
“But how could we let this happen? We have the magic of friendship?” Applejack questioned.
“And even after what the students tried to do, we didn’t let that get to us?” Amy also responded to Applejack question.
Twilight looked at Sunset again and said, “Well while we might be best friends, we let the littlest problems get the best of us and Sunset didn’t say anything about it is because...” the princess held her hand out for Sunset and she grabbed it as she was helped up from the floor, then Twilight continued by saying, “...she was still getting use to the whole ‘friendship’ thing that we have.” Sunset wipes the tears off her eyes and grew a small smile on her face as the group gave her a big hug (yep, including Shadow himself) creating a transparent rainbow mist and suddenly, the door opened and on the other side was Spike and Vinyl Scratch.
“Spike?!” The group asked in unison.
“Sorry I took so long. I had to find somebody who wasn't under the sirens' spell to help me get you out.” Spike told as he looked back at Vinyl as she gives a thumbs up.
“But how?” Knuckles asked.
“Never takes off her headphones.” Spike simply answered.
“Okay, but if she doesn’t take off her headphones, how did you get Vinyl to help you?” Twilight asked Spike as he was embarrassed to how he get Vinyl’s attention.
“I’ll tell you guys later.” Spike worryingly replied as Twilight was seen with a sly smile on her face.
“Well with that out of the way, let’s go kick those sirens’ tails!” Vector declared in determination as he catch his fist with his hand.
“We're getting the band back together?” Pinkie cheerfully asked Vector.
“We haven’t officially left, so in other words, yes we are Pinkie Pie.” Espio answered as Pinkie grabbed Charmy and spun him around.
“So what kind of spell have you been working on this whole entire time Twilight?” Rarity asked.
“Nothing because all that matters is that we speak from our hearts.” Twilight responded as she put her hand on her chest.
“You kinda sound like Celestia just now.” Spike whispered, which surprised Twilight.
“I know just the song. Fluttershy, Cream, and Cheese had written a really great one that we should use.” Rainbow said as Fluttershy, Cream, and Cheese were happy to hear they get to play their song.
“But if we’re gonna save the school, we should look our best for the competition.” Applejack told as she looked at Rarity with a smile as the fashionista was containing her excitement to finally use their new rock outfits.
“I thought you’d never ask!” Rarity cheered as she pulled the clothes from her bag.
“Looks like we got a concert to crash, don’t we Sonic?” Shadow asked the blue hedgehog with a sly smile and arms crossed as Sonic responded with a grin as the Chaos Rainbooms left the room to get ready for the Dazzlings and what they have in store for them.
At the finals concert at night, the audience were chatting with one another until the Dazzlings began singing as the green smoke flowed around them as it slowly flew inside the Dazzlings ruby necklaces while the audience’s attention was caught by the sirens.
[Welcome to the Show]
Their performance/plan started as the three girls began harmonizing at the same time while slowly dancing like half-genies as they began to levitate from the floor, but the audience didn’t seem to care and listened to their song.
The Dazzlings sang and from a distance, the Chaos Rainbooms, Spike, and Sunset stood on a hill so they can played their song, but began to worry because of one tiny problem, they’re too far away from the audience.
“How the heck are we supposed to play from all away up here?!” Amy stated the problem at hand.
“And to make things worse, all our equipment went missing and findin’ them is gonna be like lookin’ for a needle in a haystack!” Applejack added, making it two problems for the Chaos Rainbooms. Luckily, Vinyl Scratch drove up to the group in her car and from a push of a button, her car shifted into a DJ studio, allowing the team to play their music from afar as they were speechless to say how as their eyes widen, but quickly snapped back to reality and focus on the Dazzlings and they started connecting their instruments to the DJ studio.
“Just where on earth did she afford this?!” Vector asked in disbelief.
Back at the stage, The Dazzlings weren’t aware of the Chaos Rainbooms’ actions and focused on the audience. They raised their hands up as red waves flew up as they grew bigger and the Dazzlings sent their hands down as the red waves crashed down on the audience, covered their heads, but the siren’s magic was too powerful and they were now under their control.

The Dazzlings floated off the ground and their ruby necklaces created a red aura that wrapped around and now inside a cosmic space looking shell of their bodies the Dazzlings and they began to transform like Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, and Twilight as their ears became pony ears and the longer hair, but that’s when the similarities end as the sirens broke out of the shell and they revealed their new forms wings completely different wings from Twilight’s, Rainbow Dash’s, and Fluttershy’s. They began to show off their new forms, but that was short lived as their heard music from far away and Aria found the source and told Adagio and Sonata where it was coming from which turns out to be the Chaos Rainbooms.

The Chaos Rainbooms’ song started to works as the audience snapped out of the mind control and turned their attention to the Chaos Rainbooms, which both Sunset and Spike noticed.

Twilight, Rainbow, Pinkie, Fluttershy, Applejack, and Rarity started to transform as their grew pony ears, their hair extended with two colors streaks in their hair and Twilight, Rainbow, and Fluttershy grew wings as they others watched the whole thing with smiles on their face.
“So it looks like the Chaos Rainbooms want a real Battle of the Bands?” Adagio playfully asked.
“It’s like what I promise you Adagio!” Sonic answered loudly to Adagio as she grew a sinister smile on her face.

The Dazzlings continued their and used more of their magic to catch the attention of the audience and the magic cause the Dazzlings eyes to become and the red waves from Adagio’s ruby necklace to Aria’s and Sonata’s and a bright red light shined as the Chaos Rainbooms covered their eyes, but inside the light, the Dazzlings’ used their magic from ruby necklaces to release their siren forms. The light died out and the Chaos Rainbooms looked the night sky, which was now red and their pupils shrunk as they spotted the Dazzlings’ true forms and Cheese was terrified the most as his emotion ball was a tornado as he hid behind Cream’s back. The Dazzlings’ human body were like empty shells as the their true form were what they been trying to achieve.
The sirens flew ahead and swarmed around the Chaos Rainbooms and they when they were close together to attack the heroes, Vinyl turned up one of the nobs and Pinkie, Amy, and Charmy played the drums, which made the speaker shoot out rainbow waves, causing the three to spilt up, but Aria tried to get closer, but Fluttershy played, creating a swarm of butterflies around Aria. Rarity played the key-tar to send out multiple gems at Sonata with Rouge, Vector, and Ray as supporters.
Twilight and Tails sang the microphone as they sent out purple sparkles, but Adagio’s human body gritted her teeth in anger as she wanted to finished things quickly, so her siren form countered back by vocalizing, creating red, magical waves which overpowered the sparkles and pushed back Twilight and Tails, but they kept their footing, but the three sirens grouped together and vocalized, creating those same red waves, which pushed the Chaos Rainbooms back and made them fall to the ground as Twilight’s microphone flew out of her hand and rolled to Sunset Shimmer shoe as she picked it up.
The Dazzlings’ body were smiling with power as the Chaos Rainbooms were overwhelmed by the sirens magic. “Looks like we won the Battle of the Bands in the end. Wasn’t a challenge to be honest.” Adagio mocked, but quickly noticed that Aria’s siren form launched forward to the heroes for an attack, but was stopped by Adagio.
“What in the world was that for Adagio?!” Aria questioned.
“Couldn’t you not try to act like you’re the leader here? I came up with this whole plan and you’re gonna follow me lead or-“ Adagio lectured, but was suddenly slapped by Aria’s human body as the three began to argue to one another and started fighting.
While they were fighting, The Chaos Rainbooms were struggling to get up, Twilight noticed that her microphone was in Sunset’s hands and she reached out to her and shouted, “Sunset, we need you!”
Sunset worried and was having second-thoughts and asked, “I can’t, I don’t know if I can help!”
“Look Sunset.” Shadow said to Sunset and continued, “Don’t let anyone make you feel bad about yourself, you’re not like who you was before, and you are our friend!” Sunset sheds a single tear from her eye before wiping it off her cheek and was now brave as she threw off her black, leather jacket and walked forward as the soft wind breezed, causing her hair to move, Vinyl press the triangle button and moves one of the vinyls and her DJ studio were playing drums as Sunset was determined and got her time to shine.

Sunset sung into the microphone, which stopped the sirens arguing as they looked at her, helping up Twilight from the ground and they both held the microphone together and Tails helped the others up and flew between Twilight and Sunset as the three sang in the microphone.

The Chaos Rainbooms sang together as the sirens tried to attack them, but Twilight and Sunset raised their hands and waved to send out a rainbow wave, which not only did it free the audience from the mind control, but the Dazzlings eyes reverted back to normal as they questioned what just happened. Sunset started to float and began to transform just like Twilight and the others with the pony ears and the longer hair. Sunset, Twilight, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Rarity, and Applejack started to float up and they were surrounded by a white sphere as it created a rainbow with red in the middle of it. Sonic and the others watch and were amazed by it as the colors made a white ball as wings appeared from the outside of it.

Soon, the audience sang along and danced as they weren’t arguing with one another and were happy, which annoyed the Dazzlings as they looked at the Chaos Rainbooms, but they were in disbelief to see a giant mythical alicorn with a rainbow mane as it sent a rainbow beam on the sirens as they dissolved into nothing and on the Dazzlings’ ruby necklaces, shattering them into broken pieces. The transformed girl came back down to the others and the changed back to normal and they cheered with pure excitement as Vinyl changed her DJ studio back into her car. The Chaos Rainbooms stopped and walked down to the audience as they saw the Dazzlings rubbing their heads before quickly realizing that their necklaces were broken and they tried to sing, but they were off-key and the crowd booed at them and the Dazzlings ran away with their broken necklaces.
“So that explains why those things were so special to them?” Sunset said to the others.
“And without them and the magic that was brought here, they’re just 3 harmless teenage girls.” Tails answered, then heard Flash’s voice as he rushes over to Twilight and gave her a hug.
“Rainbooms rule! That was amazing!” Flash congratulates to Twilight as he hold back a little bit, then the Chaos Rainbooms giggled, (except Shadow since he was smiling instead) making both Twilight and Flash blush and looked awkward look eye-to-eyes.
“You may have vanquished the Dazzlings, but you will never have the amazing, show-stopping ability of the Great and Powerful Trixie!” suddenly Trixie causing Twilight and Flash to step back and as she was talking, Twilight, Flash, and the others couldn’t care in the slightest. Trixie used another smoke bomb as the heroes couldn’t see her in the smoke and coughed because of said smoke as the waved their hands to get rid of it, but Trixie was there which shocked Pinkie and Charmy, but was quickly disappointed to know that she didn’t actually disappear, rather she was seen trying to hop over the audience seating area before fall to the ground.
“I’m okay!” Trixie yelled
“You know, you guys are going back to Equestria soon. The Rainbooms could really use someone to help Fluttershy on backup vocals.” Rainbow Dash suggested as Sunset looked over to find a cyan guitar lying near a speaker and she picked it up and played amazing with it, which surprised the Chaos Rainbooms.
“I also play guitar.” Sunset nervously said as her friends looked at Rainbow Dash, which made her slightly worried, but she quickly covered it up and acted like it was nothing.
The Chaos Rainbooms gave a big group to Sunset Shimmer as she was now part of the Chaos Rainbooms and suddenly, the audience cheered not only for the Chaos Rainbooms, but for Sunset as well as they know that they wouldn’t be saved if it was for Sunset Shimmer helping them against the Dazzlings.
The next day, the Chaos Rainbooms stood near the statue that lead to Equestria as they said their goodbyes to Twilight and the others.
“I wished you guys could’ve stayed longer.” Vector said
“I wished we could Vector, but we can’t leave our friends waiting for us on the other side.” Twilight told
“Plus we’re on an adventure to stop Metallix with whatever he’s plannin’!” Sonic added.
“But now we can go through the portal whenever I need to. This isn't goodbye. It's just goodbye 'til next time.” Twilight said the the Chaos Rainbooms before leaving as Sonic jumping in first with the others following behind and Twilight being last to leave.
Later that same day, the Chaos Rainbooms were relaxing back at the concert and Sunset was writing in her notebook as she writes, Dear Princess Twilight, Missing you already, and I hope you'll be back soon. Things are definitely looking up for me here at Canterlot High. But I know I still have a lot to learn about friendship. Hope you don't mind if I write to you for advice when I need it. Your friend, Sunset Shimmer.
“Ya ready or what?” Charmy called out to Sunset, which caused her to snap back to reality.
“Come on Sunset, we’re about to start practice.” Espio told Sunset as they began to pick up their instruments and played.
“Ready!” Sunset called as she got ready.
“One! Two! Three! Four!” Pinkie and Charmy yelled before beating on the drums as they began practicing their new song.
Meanwhile during the battle between the Chaos Rainbooms and the Dazzlings, two black hooded people, one male and the other female, watched as they saw the mythical alicorn and they record the magic from the detector and the frequency were large and fast, so they saved the statistics before heading off.
“These stats are far different from the previous ones?” the hooded male questioned.
“Let’s inform her about this alright.” the hooded female said as the hooded nodded as he was surrounded by green aura and flew off with the female following. As they headed back, the male began to look anxious about something with made the female concerned. “What seems to be bothering you?” She asked.
“I don’t know, it’s just that this whole magic stuff is amazing, but it might be dangerous if it gets to powerful. Do you know what I’m saying right?” the hooded male asked.
“Don’t get too scared alright.” the hooded female told, once we figure out the sudden spike of magic occurring at Canterlot High, we can learn the cause of it and see what we can do about it.”
“Okay.” the hooded male said as they headed towards a school building and they made it inside to look for their friend somewhere inside one of the room.
Meanwhile, a girl that had dark blue hair with a hot pink streak on it, lavender like skin, and purple eyes, wearing a white, science coat was studying the theory that lead to the source of magic, Canterlot High School with a previous recording of the magic from CHS, but it seems to be really extreme that anything she ever seen before.
“Hope they come back with the results I asked them for?” the girl questioned as she placed her hand on her chin, but heard the door open and it was the two hooded people again as they came back with the results and she took it and printed it off so it can be viewed on paper. Once it was finished, the girl compared the two results and was more curious that before. “Looks like there’s a noticeable difference between the two results.” the girl stated.
“So what the theoretical answer?” the hooded female asked the science girl.
“It looks like the source of the magic that was happening is non other than CHS guys.” the girl answered as she walked over to her dog and petted him.
“I’m looking forward to the Friendship Games, I hope to see some new students at CHS and see what our studies say.” the hooded male said as he hold the calendar the girl’s science room as one of the days is circled around in a red marker.
“You might be looking forward to it, I’m not.” The hooded female said as a tiny ember float on her finger before making it disappear. “I’m looking for the Sol Emeralds before anyone takes them.”
“I want to see if we can find magic in CHS during Friendship Games.” the science girl gave her reason as she, her dog and the hooded people left the room to head home.
