Spike had been waiting for 2 hours. Something had gone wrong I guess. I checked the time, it was 4:05 a.m. Spike sighed and put my head in my hands. I knew our baby would be special I just knew it.
Meta had told me about the dragons, she said that she would have a dragon but she wouldn't be able to connect with it until her 16th birthday. No one foretold that childbirth would be this difficult. I had been in the room but I couldn't stand the pain my queen was going through.
Suddenly The doctor came into the room and I lifted my head he said "it was successful but... Something... Is wrong." Spike jumped up out of my chair and rushed into the room.
The Queen Rarity had her head pressed against our little girls head. I rushed to her bedside and asked what was wrong and my Rarity looked up and said"look there's a mark on her back. I looked on the child's back and saw the mark; they said it was a problem but I thought it was beautiful. It was a set of wings that filled her back with a crown on the top. It was red but it didn't look like it was a rash or bleeding or bruised.
Spike kissed her back and was rewarded with a slight giggle from the child. The Queen Rarity said in her velvety voice "ah I can already tell she will be a daddies girl. What shall we call her?" Spike thought for a minute and said: "let's call her Lily." Rarity smiled and I kissed her on the nose. I turned to the doctor who had been watching the scene from the doorway. "When shall we leave?"

The red and black egg dazzled in the light as the moon glinted off the egg, it was beautiful.
I looked around. I had watched as a man had come and returned the egg. We were in a clearing near a volcano. I knew that the egg would be hatching soon as I smiled down at her. The man had called it Aradace that would be the dragons name. I watched as the egg cracked, it cracked more and more.
I left before the baby could emerge from the egg. I didn't want to have an influence on The baby because it's rider would find it in 16 years. I knew it would be safe. I couldn't help but remember the symbol on the fiery egg, it had been a crown with wings that surrounded with a symbol underneath that meant power. I smiled slowly, +
It was all part of the prophecy.

I ran through the kitchen grabbing two apples and sliding down the stairs. I landed at the bottom and high-fived the guard who held up a sign that had a big number 11 on it.
I ran to the next room and entered the throne room where they were waiting. I was 17 today and they said they wanted me in the throne room for "something." I entered and was not expecting to see as many people, but I did, and every head turned to face me.
I stood up straighter and walked elegantly to my chair next to my father. On the other side was my mother the Queen Rarity. I threw the apple to my father and he caught it and crunched down on it. I gave him a smile and he winked before I sat down and studied the crowd with curiosity. The queen stood finally and I turned my attention towards her. I listened intently to her next words "I know you are all gathered here today for the birthday of our precious child Lily.
As you all know it is her 17th birthday, a big one, we have all been awaiting this day because this is the day Lily will be a mature girl. Now without further due, I bet she would love her presents now. So like that the queen Rarity turned to me, winked, and kissed my forehead.
After she sat down the people in the crowd lined up and presented gifts. I got all kinds of things like jewels and baked sweets and dresses and other clothes. After the whole line had diminished there was one last person left. He looked old and really creepy. I sat straighter in my chair and shot dad a glance and he shot his guard a glance.
The man came closer and closer until he whispered in my ear. "There is a prophecy... Two queens will rise and the new age will start, a species that has been dead for years never died completely. Two will rise and change everything." he said one last thing "You must succeed!" He stepped back and burst into ashes, he ended quickly. I lurched forward in pain my back felt like it was being ripped open. I passed out in my chair as I saw my dad rush toward me ready to pick me up and take me to my room, my mother screamed. The guards rushed to the doors and secured the palace.
I dreamed I was running through the forest and pushed through vines. There was a specifically thick place in the vines and when I pushed through I landed hard on the other side. I scrambled around till I got my footing and looked around. I was in a clearing. I looked around and saw the most beautiful creature. It looked like a...dragon.
She had very big red scales with black scales mixed in every so often. She looked like fire and ashes. I studied the dragon more. Dragons aren't real...were they? I looked at it and it looked at me. It had a marking on its wing and I grabbed my shoulders knowing on my back I had the same marking it spoke to me and Said "Lily go to the forest the forest! Find me so we can be together!" I woke with a start and woke up whoever had been sleeping by my side.
Turns out it was my father because I was embraced in a large hug. I turned my head and hugged him back. He looked at me and said, "Lily what happened I thought you were poisoned!" I shook my head and said "no my back... It started to feel like it was being ripped open." His eyes widened and he bent me over looking at my back.
He gasped and I felt his fingers trace the wings. Then he touched the crown and then he touched something new, it was a symbol in a different language. I looked back but couldn't see it. My dad looked back at me and said "you have a different mark now. It was all red but now it's specked with black with a black symbol..." I shook my head not understanding, I didn't know who would understand. I sighed, maybe I could find the answers, I just wasn't looking in the right places.
After my father left to go find my mother I took the time to think over the dream. The creature... It's not real... But it had the same marking... Can dra- "LILY!" My mother rushed to my side and covered every inch of my face with kisses. After she had finished freaking out she leaned back and said "that man... I thought he had hurt you, I thought he poisoned you! Before you passed out he exploded into dust and DIED!" I nodded I had caught a glimpse.
My father walked into the room and exclaimed "Woman! I never knew you could run so fast! Geez, you'll give me a heart attack next time I chase you..." He huffed a breathe and we all laughed after we had talked about what he could have wanted I yawned and both the queen and king smiled. Spike takes a breathe and says "Lily we have watched you grow and have decided that it is time to let you in on a family secret... Well, more of a quest per say.
But to the point me and your mother think it is time to let you know." I nodded slowly wondering what this would be about. My mother says in a soft voice. " for years our kingdom has protected a race that we never wanted to die out but after 1 year of keeping the race thriving they started to be killed off quickly... Too... Quickly.
The whole kingdom searched for the source of all the death coming to our beloved race. But nothing could be done. We were forced to watch the last die." My father cut mother off and continued the story " we thought the last had died and for years we gave up searching but now we think because you've grown this new mark, that you are the only one who can save the race." They shot each other a sly look. The race of... Dragons."
I spent the next few days in the library studying dragons. Ever since my mother and father told me about them they haven't left my mind. Now I know almost everything about dragons.
There used to be 5 tribes, forest, mountain, ice, water, and last but not least, fire. Something about fire intrigued me. I love the color and the element is just so powerful. I also knew that forest eggs were green and have a layer of poison on them so no animals would want to smash the eggs.
I know that mountain eggs were harder than rocks and the dragons inside enter the world stronger than any other dragonet. The ice egg is only found in the coldest of places. So no one, no animals, would want to go there to get the eggs. Water eggs are at the very bottom of the ocean hidden under sand so nothing can find them.
Lastly, the fire eggs are the rarest, you could only find 1 fire egg every 20 years at the top of volcanoes where the heat can feed them and make them stronger. They can, although it is tough, survive in the coldest climates because the fire within them keeps them and their riders warm. That fact hit me the hardest.
You can tame dragons... No, no if a child that would become a rider is born a dragon is born at the same time and their hearts are bound. If I am a dragons rider I need to find my dragon.
I searched through every book in our library and found no specific books about markings of dragon riders. I will have to go somewhere where only the king has ever gone. I need to go to our sorceress.
After I told my father of my plans he reluctantly agreed to take me. Even though he wasn't excited about taking me to the sorceress he was excited about riding there.
We share a horse because I don't have one yet. When we got out to the stables after getting changed I️ was met with the sight of a beautiful, new horse. It was white with brown splotches with a white and brown mane and tail.
It had one eye dark brown and one eye bright golden. My father said, "I found him at the market, it will be your mothers but you can share because I'm sure soon you'll have... a dragon of your own." I laughed and ran to the horse. I waited for father to get seated and then spurred spirit into a trot behind my father.
I loved how smooth he trotted so I spurred him to go faster, in the end, me and dad ended up racing to the forest, I won by a lot. The horse wasn't even out of breath. I patted his neck and turned to look for Spike my “father”. He was almost here. I waited till he was next to me to say "I win you lose I'm faster than you!" We laughed and I let father take the lead again.
He said "we aren't much farther. The sorceress is just a little further into the forest. I didn't bother looking for dragons; in the books, it said that the forest dragons died out first. No one really knows the truth though. People were scared of dragons and dragon riders, they hated the fact that there were people more powerful.
I was so caught up in my thoughts that it startled me when I heard my father say "here we are." I looked up and gaped at the small shack. "THIS is where the sorceress is, I would have taken it as a tool shack!" I looked around more to see if maybe it was a joke but father got off his horse and walked to the shack. He turned around winked at me and stepped through the wall. I gasped at this and got off my horse. I walked to the "shack" and felt it with my hand.
I pressed and my hand went through. I stepped back and tied the horses and when I turned back I drew up all the courage I had and stepped through. I felt a pulling sensation and then everything stopped. I didn't know I closed my eyes until I opened them. My father was sitting in a chair talking to a lady who was very stunning. I looked around, we were in a big room with doors on three sides. Where there wasn't a door there was a desk and two chairs. I walked over and sat down and said "hello." The lady nodded. She looked towards my father and he said: "Metin, this is my daughter, Lily, and Lily (he turned to me) this is Metin, the sorceress." I looked back at Metin and nodded.
I brought forth my courage again an said "I'm very intrigued by a certain subject and wondered if you have any information about... It...for me." She replied "well I know that you didn't come here just to ask about a subject in a book you came here because you are certain I will have answers... But what exactly?" I leaned forward and said one-word "dragons." She laughed and looked at my father and said "Leave us, I will have her back at the castle an hour before sunset" he nodded briskly and stood, kissed me and left. I, alarmed, looked back at Metin.
She stood and opened a door to her right and said "Lily dear come through here. We must not be disturbed by any outside forces." I nodded and walked through the door. We were in a meadow. I was confused as I️ turned to look at Metin; she said with a smile "I know I said outside forces but if you look closely you can see we are indeed inside with an outside interior." I tried to wrap my brain around her confusing sentence but decided I better just leave it. I looked around and noticed that there were shimmers every so often. Like on a hot day when you look at the horizon and you see heat waves. I smiled and turned towards Metin who had somehow brought out a desk and a stack of scrolls.
I walked over and picked one up, it was blank. Metin looked it over and said a few words under her breath and when I looked back at the scroll there were words and pictures I read and when I read over a word it seemed to be another voice it said:
dragons have intrigued me all my life, I've been studying all that I could, I've finally found one, a fire egg! I took it and brought it to my place where I put a bunch of blankets an warm objects near to keep it warm. I waited and waited but it never hatched. I knew something was wrong. I looked through all of my paper and read as much as I could while tending the egg, I finally found my information. For the egg to hatch a child must be born to it. I waited and waited.
For years nothing stirred. I was beginning to think the dragon died. Finally, after about a decade the egg moved. I finally had proof that the dragon inside was still alive. I celebrated. I waited with new found enthusiasm. After about 3 more years the dragon moved even more. I knew that there must be a child out there unborn ready to be bound to this dragon.
Finally, word got to me that a princess had been born to the southern kingdom. I knew this was it. I looked at the egg but before it hatched a man came demanding I had the egg smashed. I tried to reason with him but he took a knife to me. I said I would, that I would take it and smash it somewhere. He looked satisfied and I grabbed the egg and took it away.
Far away. I was almost to my destination when I heard the crack. It was hatching! I took it and laid it near the volcano I was trying to get to and left. I never stayed to see if it hatched; After a few days I wanted to go back but...
I looked up "that can't be it! What happened, who was the princess?!" Metin looked at me and smiled and said: "here this is another scroll about the same dragon." I looked at it and gasped. It was the same dragon from my dream! Wait... the dream... IT WAS REAL!
I spent the rest of the day with Metin talking about the stories and the marks and what it could mean. I learned that the wings meant dragon rider but Metin had never seen anything like my marking but she did know what language the mark was in.
It was in an old dragon language. It meant power. It was beginning to get late and our yawns started to get more frequent so Metin said, "here Lily time for you to go home, eat this strawberry." I was confused but I ate it.
It wasn't really a strawberry though it was good. I was teleported back to the castle. I made sure after a moment that Metin would send my horse and when I was about to give up out of no where my horse came trotting up the path.
After I had someone brush him down and feed him I walked into the castle and I walked to my parent's room and knocked quietly, after a moment and a few shuffles Spike opened the door. When he saw me he pulled me I to a hug and plastered a big kiss on my forehead.
I laughed and yawned and said "I'm done with Metin we learned lots of things. I will have to tell you later but I wanted to let you know I was done and home safe.
But I'm tired now and I shall retire to my room." My father nodded and said "I'm glad your safe, I'm also glad you and Metin had fun and you had a chance to learn about dragons.
Go get some rest and tomorrow maybe you can go back." I went through the halls skipping.
Once I came to my room I made sure my guard was there before I walked in, he was and he waved before standing at attention.
I smiled and walked into my room shutting the door softly. I changed int my nightclothes and laid in bed. The moment my head tucked the pillow I fell asleep.
I dreamed I was walking through a forest, there was a volcano to my right and a river on my left. I walked and walked and the vines grew thicker.
I came to a clearing and looked around, there, there was the creature. It was magnificent, it was about the size of a very large horse but it was still beautiful.
I walked towards it and it stared at me. I said "your my dragon, aren't you? I'm yours? Where can I find you?"
The dragon said softly "the vines are thick and the air is crisp, fire smolders and water boils the forest is as green as the definition itself and the sky as blue as can be.
I lie in wait for my master's fate under the tree that looks like a flame." I woke up gasping I chanted the words and memorized them. I jumped out of bed still chanting the ominous words and got dressed in a shirt and pants with my riding boots. I combed my golden hair and ran out the door.
I didn't stop for my guard to say Good Morning I didn't slide down the stair rail and I didn't loom in the Windows.
I ran straight to the breakfast table where I knew my parents would be. I butt through the doors making my parents shoot from their chairs.
I walked over to them chanting the words and when I got to them I said "I have to go back to the sorceress! I have to I know what has to be done!
I can't wait now I must leave." As I walked towards the doors again my voice got louder
"I can do it, dad, I can! I will! I have to go now I will see you later!" At that Is Rushed out the door. I hope my parents didn't come for me I hope they didn't move.
I sped down the hallways and called for a boy and told him to be quick and saddle my horse. He ran out so fast not even I outpaced him.
I ran to the entrance and saw my horse all saddled waiting for me. I ran out leapt on the horses back and ran away with not even a glance at anyone else.
I made record time and flew through the shack. I landed in the room and startled Metin who leaped from her chair and stifled a scream.
I said "I'm sorry but I had a dream, I know where my dragon is! It's a fire dragon!"
I told Metin all that had happened in the dream and then I told her the enchanting words. "the vines are thick and the air is crisp, fire smolders and water boils the forest is as green as the definition itself and the sky as blue as can be.
I lie in wait for my master's fate under the tree that looks like a flame." She sat back down and thought.
She looked up at me and said "I think I know where that is.
There is only one volcano in our kingdom and its surrounded by forest so green it's blinding. The river there is always hot because of the lava that is said to heat it. Here is a map I cannot go there but you can.
I will send a letter to your father now and tell him you will be going.
I nodded and said, "I will need supplies." She nodded and waved her hand and there was suddenly a backpack with a bow and quiver filled with arrows.
She said "there is food and clothes and there is a book of dragons and stuff to make a fire with. Good luck I wish you well. Now go!"
I grabbed the backpack and races outside. I sat on Spirit and raced towards the volcano. The journey to find my dragon started now. Let's hope I'm not too late for her.
rode on till night, Spirit was tired and I was tired. I rolled up the map I had been following an slid off of Spirit who lowered his head. I took off his saddle and grabbed the backpack. I ran through the items and saw a brush.
I took it out and after brushing my hair I took the brush to spirits hair. I decided to save my food but I have Spirit an apple and laid down. I was asleep in moments hoping to get a glimpse of my dragon. I dreamt. I was running through the forest again. Something crashing behind me.
I saw the clearing and made a dash for it. Once I got there I saw my dragon. It whipped it's head around and looked at me. I have a huge breath and I screamed "There's a man coming!" I woke up out of breathe. It felt like I'd been running a marathon. I stood up and looked for the sun. It was just coming up.
I packed up my stuff an woke Spirit who tossed his head. I gave him another apple and brushed him again before putting the saddle back on. I rode again till the sun was right above my head. I looked at the map and talked to Spirit as if he was a person. I said, "well we need to find some water and if the map is correct we should go in that direction." I pulled on Spirits reins but he was already a step ahead of me. He knew where the water was.
I let him lead. After he had found the river I decided to think back on what the prophesy said. Two queens will rise and the new age will start, a species that has been dead for years never died completely. Two will rise and change everything. I have never heard anything about a dying species... Wait... The dragons? But what about two queens?
There is only one queen. Can there be a queen of dragons? Or will I be queen? I thought for a second, maybe my dragon is... No never mind. I'll just focus on finding my dragon. I looked at the map.... The flame tree should be a huge red tree 3 miles to the west of this mountain... Wait no... Volcano!
I stooped down and took a drink and when I stood back up I felt refreshed. I stood and got back on spirit turned him to the northeast direction and drove him to a trot. After a while of trotting, I began to notice strange marks on trees. It looked like a carved crown. I pressed spirit a little faster and followed the crown trail. After about 30-35 minutes I realized I was still heading in the right direction. I was heading straight to the volcano.
I trotted on with new enthusiasm and even pressed spirit to go faster. By the time the sun started down, I could see the volcano! I kept my eyes on it and pressed spirit to go even faster. I made it to the volcano when it was starting to get hard to see. Once I was at the base I got off spirit and let him graze on the lush grass in the clearing.
I grabbed a sandwich and another apple and ate while watching spirit. After a minute spirit, full and content, walked over to me and decided to lay a little ways away to sleep. In the morning we would go east to find my dragon.
I woke up a little bit before dawn. Spirit had got up and started to graze and it had woken me. I decided to eat breakfast, which contained another Apple and a cold pastry. I got up and called to a spirit who came willingly.
I mounted him and turned east. I rode on marveling how beautiful the leaves looked today. They were all a light yellow/green. After an hour of riding, I started looking for the flame tree. I decided that a better way of doing that was to climb a tree.
I looked for a particularly tall tree and once I found on I dismounted and went to the base. I looked up and found the lowest branch which was sadly a few feet out of arms reach. I got an idea after about a minute of studying the surroundings. I went 10 paces away and faced the tree.
I ran as fast as I could and jumped off a large protruding root and grabbed the branch. After I hauled myself up I grabbed the next branch and the next one and eventually I made it to the top where I had an amazing view of a huge forest. It was a sea of yellow and green.
I scanned everywhere and then out of the very corner of my eye I caught a sight of a huge flaming tree. At first, I thought it was actually on fire but looking more closely I realized it was just a tree filled with red and orange leaves.
It had dark oak too. It was beautiful. I got the direction of the tree and climbed back down. I jumped on spirit and turned him in the direction of the tree and willed him into a fast trot. It was a little after sun high when I found I couldn't ride spirit any longer. I tied him to a tree and got off. I grabbed my backpack and started my trek through thick vines. I managed to make a wide path. After a long time, it started to get dark and I made my way faster.
Going through vines and vines and more vines. It was tedious. I think the moon started to come up when finally I saw the red tree. I started to run through vines and push them aside. Then when I found a particularly thick place of vines I pushed hard and fell into the clearing where there was a red tree in the middle. I looked around and then my eyes popping I gasped.
I gasped and looked at the magnificent creature staring back at me. It was red and black with green eyes that seemed to glow under the full moon.
I saw the mark on her wing and reached back to where I knew my own mark was.
The dragon stepped forward and dipped its head. I stepped forward to and copied her movement.
She walked up to me and nudged my shoulder turning me around. I looked back and pulled my shirt up. Silently the dragon studied my mark and then when I turned around she looked at her own mark.
I finally found my words and managed to whisper "beautiful..." The dragon lowered its head and I reached my hand up to her nose but didn't touch her yet. I waited for her. She closed her eyes and touched my smooth hand and let out a warm breath.
I said, "your...your my dragon." She blinked in what I felt meant yes. I cocked my head and said, "in my dream, you could talk why can't you now?" She took a step back and touched my head with her long tail gently an then touched her head. I opened my eyes wide, She huffed and opened her wings.
She drew her neck close to the ground and I figured she wanted me to climb on. I swung my leg over and say on her smooth scaled on the base of her neck just above the wings. It was like a built-in a saddle. I didn't even have time to grab something before we were launched into the air.
I think I screamed because my dragon looked back with a dragon smirk. I smiled and she flew more steadily. She flew up an up and even further up till the ground was but a speck. We flew above the clouds and when we broke through the top of the clouds all I could see where the top of the clouds tinted with blue and stars. Only stars. It was beautiful. I focused back on my dragon, she was looking back at me. She shook me and I fell.
I didn't scream or anything I just let it happen. I opened my eyes and my dragon was falling too. We faced each other and looked into each overs eyes. I somehow got closer to her and she engulfed me in her wings.
I trusted Her not to let me die so when the ground started to get closer I smiled and let whatever happened next to happen. She turned over and flew under me. She floated for a few seconds till I alighted on her neck and when she folded her wings she touched the ground. I got off and stood in front of her. She stepped closer and she pulled her chin against my back and pushed me against her heart. I felt the pain then. I felt it like I was being stabbed.
I think I cried out Maybe that or I had gone limp because the head pushed harder keeping me up. Something was happening that was hurting me. I reached out like I was hugging the dragon and pushed my head into the fold of her chest. It hurt so bad. After a moment of bearing the pain when I figured it wouldn't stop Darkness tried to settle in. I fought back the darkness and wanted to feel the pain.
I endured it for what seemed like hours. But finally, the pain started to ebb away. After it was almost completely gone my dragon let her head move away from my back. I was still pressed against her but that was because I was still gripping her crest. When I felt numb I let go and looked into the eyes of my dragon. I saw sympathy there but also love and a tenderness I will never imagine. I relaxed and the dragon also relaxed.
I also realized that I was sweating. I looked at her wing and realized something new was on the wing. Two more symbols and a smaller crown. I figured the smaller crown was mine and it symbolized that I was fully bonded to my dragon. I looked back at the dragon and said in a rough breathless voice "can you talk- are we fully bonded...?" The dragon nodded and said, "Yes Lily I can talk now, I'm sorry I had to put you through that without warning..." She dropped her head.
I said "yeah it hurt but I'm glad you did, the flying was amazing... It's something I'll never forget. ... Now, what is your name? Do I name you?" She shook her head and said "no, I was named when I was still in my egg. A voice called and said " from the volcano and from the forest I shall call you Aradace (are-dace a is silent)." So I am called Aradace." I hugged my dragon again and I said, "Aradace I love the name." We fell asleep in the clearing under the stars next to the flaming tree.
I woke up to sunlight, I was curled under the wing of a dragon, a red and black one. I smiled and curled closer to the warmth. After a second a huge head peeked from under the wing and said, "Hello sleepy head, did you sleep well?"
I nodded and she moved her wing so I could get up. I stood up an stretched, I flexed and moaned in pleasure of the stretch. My stomach rumbles and I reached for my backpack.
I rummaged around till I found bread, water, and pastries. I sat down and ate while I watched Aradace. She moved with grace.
After a moment I finished and said, "can we fly again?" She made a rumbling noise which was probably a laugh and nodded her huge magnificent head.
I smile and ran to her and swing my leg over. After a second we were launched into the air, I said "show me your best flying. Don't hold back!" She did a dragon smirk and started to pick up speed, on moments we were going faster than I have ever been, she looked back and did some rolls and then some flips.
She did fancy loops and twirls and rolls then she went up real high and then stopped flapping and we started falling back to earth.
The wind whipped past and once we were 20 feet above the trees her wings snapped open again and we flew straight. We did some more twirls and then for a second flew upside down.
We found and lake and skimmed over the water. I leaned over and touched the water. It was beautiful. After a long time of flying, we went back to our clearing next to the flaming tree and rested for a while.
Then I realized I had left my horse I stood up and started running in the direction of my horse. I got there in record speed and found my horse grazing at the length I left my rope. I was glad nothing happened.
I went over and got a bottle of water from my bag I had grabbed after I started running and gave my horse some much-needed water. He pushed my head and made some whinnies like he was scolding me. I smiled and said never again. I untied him and mounted and stared along the trail I had made.
While I was running I had made the trail larger so Spirit manages to get to the clearing relatively easily. I came back to a pacing dragon.
She looked over at me and bounded over. She looked at the horse curiously. And said "is this horse yours? I've never seen such a creature before? Does it mean so much to you?" I nodded "yes this was a gift from my father.
The king." She looked interested. Then you will be the next queen will you not, why do they call it? A queen in rising?" A queen in rising I mumbled a queen in rising! A queen rises! Wait does that mean that... "THAT MAKES SO MUCH SENSE!" My dragon looked startled and she asked, "what makes sense?"
I laughed and said "there is a prophesy...Two queens will rise and the new age will start, a species that has been dead for years never died completely.
Two will rise and change everything, I am a queen that is rising and that makes you a queen rising too! So two queens rising means you and me, a dragon species that was thought to have died out long ago never died completely, that means there must be another dragon out there! And... And two will change everything? That probably means...?" She continued in a whisper. "We will bring back the age of the dragons."
I got all of my things together and looked into my backpack to see what Metin had given me. Food an extra pair of clothes and an orb, there was a not on it that read "if you find your dragon and want to fly home then throw this at your horses' feet. It will take him home.
I was a little curious so I threw it at my horses' feet and it cracked open and mist flowed out engulfing all of my horse. When the mist cleared my horse was gone. I shrugged and turned to my dragon. She was ready to go.
We had eaten our fill beforehand so I swung my leg over with more difficulty than last time. "Have you grown, I almost couldn't swing my leg to sit!" Aradace did a dragon chuckle and said "I grow a lot faster than people.
By the time I am a young adult, I will be bigger than....Well, I have only seen trees so I guess I have nothing to compare but... I will be as tall as those branches. Aradace pointed to a branch that was at least 20 ft above our heads. My jaw dropped that's huge! I patted her neck and she leaped into the air.
We had figured out how to give signals while flying because it was hard to talk in mid-air. Aradace had said that dragons an dragon riders slowly develop a way of talking telepathically but we are too young. I pressed my left leg against her side and she turned left. I set her on a course and we flew. I looked at all the trees and occasional creeks and rivers.
I loved looking at the forest from my top tower but this was amazing. We flew low for some of the time but eventually, we got bored so we took loops high up in the clouds. Sometimes I would jump and after a minute of free falling Aradace would catch me.
Sometimes when she caught a lot of air and she didn't have to flap just carry on smoothly I would walk along her back. Aradace said that once we were past 25 years old she would have strong wings and I would be able to sit on them if she was not flapping.
We talked all day about what we did at home or in our free time. Then the question came up Aradace asked "so is there any... Boys you fancy?" I shook my head and said, "no, I don't fancy any boys, they are either all princes who are snobby and don't care for a woman or they are not taught well enough, some don't even know how to fight!"
I laid my back against Aradace's neck and thought back to all the princes that have come for my hand. Some even come for my kingdoms money and secrets. I huffed, there is no Prince Charming for this princess.
After a moment Aradace Said "you'll find your someone someday. Who knows when I'll find mine, there are no forest dragons left and there are no ocean dragons or ice dragons that I know of... I'm the only fire dragon.
Maybe a mountain dragon? I don't know." I turned around and kissed her neck. I said, "we'll find other dragons I promise." I turned back again and looked at the clouds just above us. I promise we'll find another dragon it's close I can feel it.
After 5 hours of flying, we had to land because we needed water and Aradace's wings needed to rest. I had fallen asleep and when I woke we were on the ground. I got up and stretched and walked over to the creek Aradace had found.
I refreshed myself an when I looked into the water a blurry face came up next to me. I scrambled back and looked around frantically but no one was there. I looked into the water again and there was a symbol.
It was a kingdoms symbol but what was weird about it was that my symbol was next to it and then suddenly they grew close and melted into one. I gasped and scrambled back again. Aradace came over and asked, "what's wrong I heard you gasp." I shook my head and said, "we really new to get home."I climbed back on Aradace and we flew off.
After a while some things started looking familiar, I got excited we just passed over the sorceress's shack we were almost there. I told Aradace to fly as low as she could because there was just field until you got to the castle. After a while of flying low, I saw the gates. When we were about 50 feet away I told Aradace to land.
I jumped off and lead her to the gates as I came closer more guards came to the gate at the ready. I put my arm up and said, "guards it's me, Lily, I've returned home!" They dropped their weapons and dropped to their knees, they repeated their apologies as I and Aradace passed. We walked to the castle doors an I stopped one of the guards an said, "go to my father and tell him I'm waiting at the doors." The guard rose, saluted and ran off.
I faced Aradace an grabbed her head and said "my family will love you, they were the ones that kept your race going for a long time. They couldn't stop the extinction but I know they will love to see you. I will not let anything happen to you."
When I finished speaking the doors were flung open and I was immediately engulfed in a hug. I laughed and Aradace chuckled whoever was hugging me backed off and I turned around. My dad was standing with his hand over his mouth and his eyes were as large as our famous plates.
He said, "you...you disappeared for a week to find a-a dragon!" He was in awe an shock. I laughed and hugged him. "Isn't she beautiful?" My Spike had no words so he nodded his head. I took a step towards Aradace and she lowered her head to level with mine, I scratched her head and she purred.
I smiled an took my dads hand and put it against Aradace's nose. She huffed hot air and Spike smiled. I looked around and asked "where is mother? Isn't she thrilled I'm home?" Spike stepped away. He frowned and said "I wish... You had come back home sooner... Your mother, uh she died two days ago..." His voice cracked. Everything stopped, my whole world stopped. Froze, stopped, ceased to move. I couldn't even tell if I was still standing.
I felt a claw catch me and lift me from the ground. I was out against my dragons back and she walked to where my dad must have told her to go. I couldn't breathe. I think I was crying and screaming but to me my world was deaf and blind. I moved my hand to reach up and touch Aradace. But I don't think I could move. So I let the blackness engulf me and comfort me and carry me along its thick Silk Road of nothing.
I opened my eye and looked around. I was in a dim room and I couldn't see my dragon. I panicked and called out her name. After a minute a woman entered the room and said "Lily calm down. Your safe." I screamed Aradace again.
The woman dived and called for something. After a minute my dragon swelled into the room. She glided over an laid her head on my stomach. I held her head and she spoke. "Lily, are you okay? You've been asleep for days." Days?
(Why I the dragon is, not this big it just looks cool to me)
I've been asleep for days? I looked up at Aradace and smiled and said "you've... Grown." She said "yes I believe I have haven't I?" I sat up and Aradace lifted her head. I stood up and after a few wobbles I walked to my dragon an said "take me home please." She nodded and looked towards the woman who I now recognize as Metin.
I said "how did... How did my mother die?" Metin signed and said come here. I walked towards her and she projected something on the wall of the room. It was a image, a moving image of how my mother died. She was walking out of the room but when she got to the door, she fell and clutched her chest. She tried to move but fell the Rest of the way to the floor and twitched and after a minute she stopped and her chest moved no more.
I had tears rolling down my face again and I ran to Aradace. She hugged her neck around my body and whispered comforting words in my ear. After a second I calmed myself down and got on Aradace's back and said "let's go. I nodded my farewell towards Metin and Aradace flew through the wall. We flew through the meadows and then towards the gate. Instead of walking through the gate we flew over it. I smiled it was great to fly.
We landed at the doors and I turned to Aradace and said "how will you move around the castle when your so big?" Aradace nudged me and said "Metin the sorceress gave me a Vile and said when your in the castle drink this and you will shrink to a little bigger than a large dog. I nodded and took the vile and told Aradace to open her mouth. She did and I poured the stuff into her mouth. She began to shrink, first her body than her wings and then her head and tail together.
Once she was to my chest she stopped shrinking and I gasped at how crazy it was that the sorceress was so powerful. I looked at Aradace and asked if she was alright she said "yeah I'm alright it felt weird and its awful how I had to look up at you now. I laughed and opened the door. Aradace stepped into the castle and we walked down the hallways towards my fathers room. I got in there and he was sitting at his desk. I cleared my throat and he turned around.
When he saw me he smiled and stood up. He walked over to me and hugged me. Except this hug was different it wasn't a 'I haven't seen you in forever' hug it was a 'I love you so much and I know we'll get through this' hug. I felt a few tears hit my shoulder and I leaned away from the hug and looked at my fathers face.
He was crying, after a moment he reached up and wiped away a tear that had so treacherously slid down my face. The information finally hit me. Mom wouldn't ever see my dragon thrive. She was dead.
I and Aradace went back to my room, I jumped on my huge king bed and scooted to the middle edge. I patted the bed at my side and Aradace jumped up next to me and curled up. If she didn't have scales she would be a lot like a dog.
I rubbed her head and after a moment fell asleep against the body heat that Aradace was emitting. 10 I was walking through the forest with a red blur next to me, I broke through the edge of the forest and stopped at the mountainside. I looked up and caught my breath. Up above I saw a huge shadow in the shape of.... of...
I woke up and sat straight up. The mountains? weren't the mountains hundreds of miles away? What did I see? I reached to my right seeking the comforting touch of my dragon, she wasn't there. I got out of bed and ran to the door, this can't be a dream! I ran into the hallway and came to a maid.
She looked startled and then overjoyed she said "Princess Lily! You're out of your coma!" I stopped, I was...I was in a coma? I closed my eyes and passed out. I shot out of bed and screamed.
There was a flurry of movement out of the corner of my eyes and something fell off the bed. I ran around and dove for my dragon, she made a startled yelp and flared her wings. I grabbed her and embraced her, I wouldn't leave her, she was real.
"she said in a shocked voice "Lily? Are you okay, you woke up and screamed?" I nodded, "I'm okay, I am now." she asked "what did you dream about? I relayed my whole dream and she said.
"I dreamed the same thing except I didn't see a mountain I saw a cave." We sat for a while talking about the possibilities, we finally decided that we should go talk to my dad. I went to the bedroom door and opened it, I held it open while Aradace walked out. We walked down the winding hallways till we came to a door that was no doubt, my dads.
I knocked on the door, First three fast times, then three spaced out knocks. I heard a flurry of footsteps and then the door flung open. I stepped in and immediately began pacing.
I felt two pairs of eyes on me and I started talking "I think I need to go to the sorceress, I Have no idea what to do. I know I just got home and you want to mourn mother's death but wouldn't she want me to find more dragons?
I just had a dream, I was in the mountains and I saw a shadow, I really don't know what it was but it was important. I know its important because Aradace had the same dream! I need to find answers. Maybe we can find more dragons..." I stopped pacing and faced my dad, " I can fix this mess, maybe Aradace can find a mate and we can get more dragons!
It's my destiny that's why I have the mark. My life was already planned ou-" My dad took a step forward and said "noyoucantleavethereissomeonewhowantstomeetyouandmaybepropose!"
I stopped and said "what? Slow down what did you say?" My father took a step forward and said again more slowly " No, you can't leave there is someone who wants to meet you and maybe propose..." I stood there suddenly feeling very uncomfortable. I said reluctantly "dad you know I never like any of the princes in the area" my dad held up and hand and said "that's just it, he's traveled hundreds of miles just to see you.
He is from far away in a kingdom surrounded by mountains." I stopped and stared at father, he said mountains? That's exactly where I need to go! I nodded my head slowly and said " Okay fine, I'll meet him, but don't get your hopes up."
I walked into the throne room where my dad insisted that I meet the prince. I reluctantly went to change and after a few persuasive words convinced my father to allow Aradace to stay with me.
So now I cheerfully walked to the throne room. I high fives some of the guards along the way but sadly couldn't stop to chat. Finally, I pushed open the doors and was surprised at what I saw.
My dad was sitting casually in his seat and the prince was standing and seemed pretty comfortable, the surprising thing wasn't the fact that it looked like a casual meeting what struck me was how handsome he was and how I felt like I had known him for my whole life.
I suddenly felt calm and tongue-tied. I got butterflies but then they cleared. I didn't know what I felt. But I was suddenly very happy to see him.
I walked in and strode up to the man. He bowed and took my hand placing a kiss on it. When he did the place where he kissed my hand felt like sparks had flown there.
I felt light-headed. I could also tell a lot more of his features standing so close. He had very dark brown hair with and sleek eyebrows, setting under those were eyes the color of a dark green forest after rain.
They seemed to be like emeralds glowing. He had full lips and a high cheekbones with a sharp jawline. He was so handsome. He also stood a good head taller.
I curtsied and smiled warmly at him. After a moment Aradace came flying in and landed next to me. The man seeming to be startled smiled and said in a deep lively voice "you have a dragon!? That's amazing I thought they went extinct long ago? No less a Fire dragon, they are the rarest of all dragons to find." I stared in surprise at him I smiled even wider and said " Oh yes, I found my dragon not that long ago actually, I had just been in the forests a few weeks ago.
He looked at me and said in an appraising voice "You must be a very brave and different. Different obviously in a good way.
Other princesses would have been begging for my hand now because they either wanted money or the land.
Some were just too snobby though. You are obviously not like most princesses..." I grinned from ear to ear and said "Oh I'm so glad you noticed too, your princes are just oh so snobby and undertrained for battle!
Some can't even swing a sword!" We both laughed and then with a good-hearted cough we both looked towards my father. I got red-faced while he bowed deeply to my father.
I stepped up kissed my father and said " so sorry for my rudeness. I know you love procedure." My father nodded and sniffed with hurt dignity.
I stepped back down and father said "Princess Lily meet Prince BlueBlood. He has come here all the way from the kingdom of Canterlot.
I smiled at Blueblood and said, " now where were we?" He held out his arm and said, "I don't know maybe dinner?" I nodded and said "that's a good starting point. +
We stayed up talking to each other all night.
(You might want to know why I used blueblood well I said to myself why the f#@4k, not blueblood got to much beef, in this fandom so, i said why hell not let, the hate fly like.....um....a.....bird..?um........................hey look a dog the viewer look where he saw a “dog” which their was no dog which the viewer look back at the random guy which was ever to be seen again).
The next day during breakfast I couldn't help glancing every so often at Lily, she was truly beautiful. I never imagined traveling beyond the mountains like this but after a dream and conformation from my kingdoms sorceress I decided to come to this kingdom.
I looked back at Lily for a second and marveled at how beautiful her hair was, her blonde curls raining down well past her shoulders. Her beautiful big blue eyes and how she held herself.
She was obviously confident and brave. She was unlike any princess I've ever met. I first figured this out when I kissed her hand, it felt like my lips had heated up, it was like a spark.
I smiled at the memory and then looked at the door. It had opened to reveal maids carrying platters of food for breakfast. It smelled absolutely wonderful.
They set the food down and I looked down at my plate of warm pancakes stacked up with bacon and eggs, there was also an interesting looking juice that came with it, I glanced questioningly at Lily and she looked at the drink and smiled she said "Its a sort of Guava juice, we mix it with a certain green leaf to make it really sweet. It also makes it green.
" we both laughed and then awkwardly glanced at everyone else who has looked at us both when we laughed, I also noticed a guard by the door who looked a tad bit jealous. I felt sorry for the considerably young man. But everyone knew that it was against a knights code to marry a princess.
They could be very close but it was frowned upon. I looked up at the king and he was smiling at Lily he glanced at me and smiled a little wider he said "I'm glad you and Lily are getting close, really it's good she has someone like you, you're obviously a good man if you have had this reaction from her.
I blushed at the kings very kind words. I saw out of the corner of my eye Haven turning as red as her dragon. I nodded to the king and he stood and said "A toast to Blueblood, Lily, and Aradace. The king looked to where Aradace was sitting next to Lily. We all repeated the toast and we fell silent as we all started eating the delicious looking pancakes. 6
Lily P.O.V
After the toast we all ate. It was wonderful. I would have to go see the person who made them... I looked over at Blueblood he was trying to eat the pancakes fast.
He looked so funny but I held in my laughter. No point embarrassing Jain again. I looked towards Aradace and she looked at me I said "Do you want any bacon?" she was served a big plate of chicken and turkey.
She nodded and I held out a piece for her. She sniffed it and then gently took it from my hand. As she was eating it I noticed the hush over the room and quickly glanced around. Everyone was watching as I fed my dragon.
I smiled and looked back Aradace was finished and she held up her head and licked her greasy lips. She said "that is the most wonderful bacon ever! I said " it's the only bacon you've ever had." She snorted and I laughed. My father laughed too. He looked sadly next to him where Mom should be seated and I noticed his eyes well up.
I said quickly After glancing around to make sure everyone was done eating and I stood and said "Breakfast is dismissed and guards there are new recruits to be trained." the stood and salutes me and rushed out the door.
I continued "Everyone else there will be a meeting an hour after midday please don't be late. I won't be in the castle today I have important business. Thank you." every one got up from the table and left to go to their rooms.
I got up and approached father. He looked up and said "so... So much like your mother. You'll make a great Queen one day..." I fought off years coming to my eyes and hugged my father.
He shuddered and I hugged him tighter. I said "I'm so sorry I wasn't here. I wanted to find my dragon before the bond between us rotted away. In so very very sorry." dad shook his head and said " it was never your fault.
I just wish she could have seen you grow up and watch your dragon grow too. She always loved fire dragons. The power they had was truly great. She was always so happy when she saw your mark. She said she birthed the dragon queen.
Spike chuckled. That's how she woke you when you were a small child. She would say " wake up dragon queen your army of dragons is waiting!" then you would always have breakfast and play with the knights.
Remember the boy who became a knight because you told him he had to become one so he could join your dragon army? He's your most faithful knight now..." He looked up and into my eyes. He said "You will have your dragon army soon.
I know you will." he stood and said "well you two be off now, you have a long day ahead of yourselves." He turned and walked to the door. I turned to Blueblood and he stood and hugged me.
I cried and said "I miss her so much." I stepped away and said, "what will I do without her?" Blueblood made an I don't know gesture.
I smiled and wiped my face with a napkin and said "come on I want to show you around." I took his hand and hugged him to the right door.
I pulled him through and down a hallway. I let go when we went through the kitchen, I did my usual and grabbed two Apple's and slid down the stair rail and night over the guard at the bottom.
He was the boy I had always talked to I said "Rey! Are your ready for the dragons? They will come back and I will lead them!" He raised his balled up fist and and laughed.
I laughed and he said "of course my queen I can't wait for the dragon to come back! He bowed deeply and smiled. I said "you may rise my dear knight." He rose and we laughed again.
I said "okay I'll be off." I said "thank you." at that moment Blueblood came up behind me and covered my eyes from behind I gasped and he muffled a laugh I said "hmm there are only two people I know that would do that and my dads are in his room. So... Blueblood! I whirled around and laughed he was caught off guard and he laughed too.
I said "okay come on now we have to go. I nodded to Rey and he bowed his head.
I took Blueblood hand again and hugged him out the door into the cool air. We were almost to the stables when I heard wing beats I looked up and was snatched right off the ground. I almost screamed but I realized it was Aradace.
She was back to full size and let me tell you she was big! I crawled out of her claw and up her side to sit on her neck. She rumbled a greeting and I said "well we can't just leave Blueblood." come on. Let's go get him." she dropped and we landed next to the stables.
I got off and walked up to Blue and said, "she's beautiful isn't she?" He nodded and I said "well come on your horse has been saddled and everything. Just follow me." He nodded and hopped on his horse.
I got back on Aradace and said fly slow, Blue is going to follow. Aradace nodded and blew hot hair into my face, I smiled. She was perfect. We flew off the ground and started off.
We flew definitely slower than normal and I got a good look around. I looked behind us and saw Kain riding behind us. He was a little behind but other than that he was keeping up. We flew on and then finally reached the forest where we landed.
I got off of Aradace and stood to wait for Blue. I watched as he rode up and dismounted his horse. He stood for a second while he said something to his horse and then after one last pat he strode to where I waited.
He looked around and I said "come on." I grabbed his hand and we ran through the forest. We stopped at the shack. Blueblood looked at it doubtfully but I walked through the walls already k owing what lay ahead.
I looked back and said "well come on." and then I stepped through the wall. I stuck my hand back out and once I felt a hand grab mine firmly I pulled him through. It was weird. Once we entered a bright red light started emitting from our hands.
Metin looked up startled and she gasped and stepped forward. She said a foreign word and suddenly our hand started glowing even brighter, the glow started to spread to our arms and then to our shoulder and to our chest.
The glow engulfed our whole body except where our hearts where. Metin said to Blueblood "do you love Lily?" he said almost immediately "yes." the glow engulfed his heart.
She turned to me and said, "Lily do you love Blueblood?" I said "yes." and the glow engulfed my heart. It was warm and I felt happy. I looked at Blueblood and he was smiling too. We were happy.
Then after a little the feeling wore off and we we're normal again, I looked towards Metin She had sat back down and watched us. I said "what was that? I felt really happy and Kain was just so...So I don't know he made me really really happy." Blueblood nodded in confirmation.
I looked back towards Metin and she smiled and said "That's what happens when you come into a magical room with your soul mate. Soulmate? We were would mates? No wonder I was so comfortable around him. We were made to be together.
Suddenly faint shimmers started to come from me and Blueblood chest. Mine was red and his was blue. It was weird. I looked towards Metin and she looked as confused as I felt.
I looked back at the strange particles, they were making symbols. I looked closely and the red one looked like my kingdoms symbol and the blue one looked like the symbol I saw in the river.
Suddenly I knew what was about to happen. The symbols once fully formed merged together, they combined and made a new symbol that was blue and red. I looked at Kain and he looked at me. I smiled and he smile.
He reached his hand out and I grabbed it intertwining our fingers. After several moment Metin got herself under control we had been watching her go back and forth between bookcases, scrolls, and other pieces of parchment.
After a while she finally held up a scroll that had a symbol and a rough drawing. What caught my attention wasn't the symbol it was the crude drawings of dragons.
Metin jumped and laughed and she said "yes! I've finally found it after all those years. I really need to organize..." she gave me the parchment and I found my kingdoms symbol.
Under it was a drawing of two dragons. At the very bottom was Blueblood symbol and under it was two drawings.
Metin had stepped away while we looked at it and now she stepped back and gave me a stone she said "look through it." I did and all the sudden there was color.
There were white, green, blue, dark gray, and finally red. I looks at the parchment and noticed there was only 1 dragon at each symbol except Kain and my symbol.
Me and Blueblood had 2 dragons at our symbol. There was also only 1 red Dragon which I'm guessing means fire Dragon.
Under my symbol. The other Dragon under my symbol was a green Dragon. Which means it was forest. Under Blueblood there was a dark gray dragon and a blue dragon.
I'm guessing that the gray one was mountain and the blue was water. I looked up at Kain and passed him the paper and stone. He looked through it for a moment and then looked at Metin we all stood and after a few minutes passed he said. 2
We spend about 3 days with the sorceress, studying dragons. We learned that there was a way to find dragons but we would need to go on a long hard and dangerous journey to find it.
"It" was a sacred rock with a circular stone around it. On it, there are 4 lines that say N, E, S, and W.
When The Dragon Queen touches the stone and asks for a certain dragon, the stone will go to a letter and that was the direction. Then sometimes when you go that direction there will be colors, like a glow that helps you get to the dragon your searching for.
We also learned about soul mates. If one soul mate does the other will feel lonely and empty, they will also feel like some part of them is missing, they won't feel a particular warmth anymore.
I also learned that there was a mark on Lily back. It was a pair of wings with a crown and some symbols that spelled power.
I said "Lily, it's beautiful, and I love the blue going around your wings." she looked up startled she said "what? There is no blue, there is only red and black." I said "No...there is a light blue along the edge of the wings.
As well as a form of blue in the crown. It's beautiful."Lily sighed and straightened. "I wish mother could have seen, she always loved the color blue." We all bowed out heads and then after a minute Lily said, "I'm going." I said "going? Going where?"
she looked up and searched my eyes and said "I'm going to the rock. I'm the Queen of Dragons after all. I will find my dragons, even if it's the last thing I do.
" I searched her big blue eyes, hopelessly searching for the joke I knew wasn't there. I said "Okay, but I'm coming with you.
I can't let you go alone. Plus I couldn't live with myself if you were killed." Lily nodded multiple Times and finally said "I know... Okay... We need to get back to the castles though.
So we can get permission from my father." Blueblood nodded and we looked towards Metin. She said "Lily... I want you to have something... Its, it's personal come, come here and come to my room."
Lily P.O.V
I followed Metin to a room and after she shut the door she turned and said "okay, first I want you to have this.
" she held out a locket that was in the shape of a heart and had vines going up the sides. She said, "this locket was your mothers, she told me to give it to you when I thought you were ready.
" I nodded and took the locket. She said again "now take this." she gave me a rune in the shape of a Dragon Claw.
It was red and the claw was dark gray. I took it and felt the power and a lightness. I looked up at Metin and she smiled she said "this is a dragons rune for protection.

You should know that." he nodded guiltily. I said "let's go, we need to get to the castle." when we stepped out of the shack we started walking towards the forest edge.
When we stepped into the clearing I whistled for Aradace and she flew down after a minute. I got on her and Blueblood got on his horse that he had tethered a few feet away. We rode to the castle quietly.
"Father, I need to go." he said, "No I will not allow it!" I looked at him and said one word "why." he looked at me in surprise and said "but, but because I am the king and you should listen to me especially as your father.
I shook my head and said "why can't I go find the dragons mother always said I would have, remember... My dragon army...?" my father drew his eyebrows together searching for an explanation he knew wasn't realistic.
He said in a tiny defeated voice. "Because I don't want you to leave... What if I lose you too?" I hugged father and said "I promise I'll come back.
" he rested his head on my shoulders and sighed. I said "Blueblood will protect me, even though I can protect myself." he looked up and nodded. He said "good, good. I'm glad he's going too. Just promise me you'll come back with the dragons. However long it takes." I nodded. +
We spent the night at the castle and in the morning an hour before dawn we got up and called to Aradace. After a moment she appeared and landed outside next to the stables where we were waiting.
I had requested the workers to start building a deck outside my window that Aradace could land on, even when she got bigger. I told them to make it huge. They started yesterday and already were making good progress.
I looked up at Aradace and she bent her head to my level. She said "I'm ready. The Sorceress gave me two packs to give to you and Blueblood. They are big packs but she said they shouldn't weigh an ounce.
" we both nodded and I looked towards Blueblood. He looked nervous. I grabbed his hand and Aradace bent as low as she could. We then hopped on her shoulder and slid into her back. We got comfortable and I signaled Aradace to go.
She lifted off the ground with two wing beats and started moving forward with another two. Blueblood had a tight hold on my waist and after a moment of flying he relaxed. Aradace was a very smooth flyer. After about an hour of flying.
Blueblood said "we need to go more to the right, you see towards the mountains." indeed I could see, the mountains were tall like ghosts, there must be fog. I turned Aradace and put her on course.
We should reach the mountains by nightfall. We had decided that I should go to Blueblood Castle and we could start there. I felt that was the best way. Because the scroll did say that it lay in rock. And in the mountain there are billions of tons of rock.
We flew for a while before any of us said anything. I finally said "What is your kingdom like Blueblood?" he shrugged and said "Its actually a lot like yours, though the villages are more closely compact.
The king Spike, my dad, is pretty strict on laws but he's a very heartwarming guy and doesn't care much for formality, he makes friends with all his people. He's very loved. My mother. She's a bit crazy. She cares a lot for people she's close to and a bit overly motherly at times. You would probably like her.

Everyone knew the plate had been for me, my father and mother wouldn't let anyone come near me for weeks. It was like Rapunzel except I'm a guy."

It was a very pretty setting. I started walking towards the creek when it happened. I started to sink. It was weird I didn't feel it until I couldn't move my leg forward. I let out a gasp and Blueblood shouted in alarm. I sank and then all of the sudden the ground opened and I fell.
The last thing I saw was Aradace flying to me whimpering in anguish. Then all I saw was black as My head hit an outcrop while I fell.
Blueblood P.O.V
Lily started to sink. I knew something was wrong. I started towards her but my foot sank down and I stopped.
Aradace started flying towards Lily but I knew she wouldn't be there in time. I could only watch helplessly as Lily fell with a gasp and Aradace roared in fear for Lily.
I found rocks to step on and eventually made my way to the hole. I saw Lily on the floor a good 20 feet down. I looked to Aradace and she was almost going crazy.
I felt something in my heart waver and I knew something was wrong with Lily. I got on Aradace and said "glide down, it's big enough. She jumped and for a moment we were free falling.
Once we touched the ground I jumped off and ran to where Lily lay. I picked her up and cradled her to my chest.
She stirred but other than that she was out. I checked for any broken bones and found that Lily had a huge knot on her head. I bet it hurts. I stood and looked around.
I looked at Aradace who was studying the surroundings After a minute there was a light filling her chest. It got brighter and brighter til suddenly she spewed fire and lit almost all the torches on the wall.
I glanced thankfully at Aradace. Aradace came over and laid her wing down almost flat on the ground. I laid Lily on the wing and gently made her comfortable. After a while, she stirred.
Lily P.O.V
I slowly opened my eyes. My head throbbed and I couldn't move very well. I opened my eyes fully and looked around.
We were laying on the wing of my dragon. I looked to my left and found nothing there but darkness. I looked to my right and found a very tired Blueblood sleeping next to me.
I yawned and said "hey sleepy head..." at the sound of my voice Blueblood stirred. When he opened his eyes He whispered " Blueblood? Are you really awake? Oh, Blueblood..." he leaned over and gave me a tight hug. He was gentle though.
After a minute Aradace woke and pulled her head around she said " Blueblood I'm so glad you're awake! I'm so sorry I couldn't reach you in time... I'm sorry, I'm such a bad dragon, I can't even take care of my rider..."
she said those words with sorrow behind them. I reached out a hand and touched her cheek.
I said "do you think I will grow to look back at this moment just to think wow I can't believe my dragon didn't save me. She is so bad. No Aradace. I will look on this moment and think.
What would've happened if I didn't have such good partners? You both have saved my life. I could have been bleeding out and freezing to death without it you guys.
No one would have ever noticed. Aradace seemed satisfied with what I said so I looked around and slowly got to my feet. For a moment I stood shakily but I soon got used to being upright. We were in some sort of temple.
I took a few paces away and looked down and opening in the wall. When I stepped back I turned towards Blueblood and Aradace. They were slowly getting up. I took a deep breath and said "Guys?
I think this is the place where the dragon stone is..." Aradace snapped her head up to look at me and Blueblood got a hopeful look on his face. I said "I have a feeling if we went this way" I pointed towards the opening.
"We will find the dragon Stone. Blueblood looked around and then came over and said "I don't think that just because it's a random hole in the wall that it's the way.
" I looked at Blueblood and said "I know, but the stuff that Metin gave me can lead the way and right now my necklace is heating up and when I step into the room it gets hotter.
Its obviously the way to me." Aradace stood next to me and said. Yes, I believe your right. I think this is the way. Its only fate that we landed so close to where we were supposed to go. I say it's a good sign.
" I nodded and then turned to Blueblood. He looked between me and Aradace for a second before giving in, he said with a sigh, "Okay but when it leads to a dead end don't come crying to me.
" We go the nodded and then I turned around. I pulled out my Dragon knife and gripped it in case something... Out of the ordinary... Happens. We walked deeper and deeper before I couldn't see my hand in front of my face. I stumbled and cried out. Aradace was next to me on an instant and she said "Lily, turn to me real quick."
I looked in the direction I heard Aradace and I felt her head on my chest. I went to touch her before I cried out in pain. My eyes felt like they were melting and my head began to throb. After a second Aradace stepped back and I opened my eyes. Suddenly I could...see? (I CAN SEE CLEARLY NOW THE RAIN IS GONE!!! Sorry guys.)
I looked at Aradace and she was smiling down at me. I looked over to where Blueblood was stumbling around trying to find where we were. I walked over to him and said. Blueblood? I can see so grab my hand.
I led him over to where a torch was and made him stand by the wall. I grabbed the torch and went over to Aradace. I held it up and looked at her expectantly and she gave a little whoop and suddenly the torch was burning.
I took it back over to where Blueblood was. I saw he had snapped his head over to look at the now blinding light that had suddenly appeared out of no where. I have the burning torch to Blueblood and he nodded his thanks.
I looked to Aradace and then we started off again. Whenever the torches fire went too low we stopped and Aradace relighted it. We went through arches through caves and through caverns bigger than our castle. We went down sometimes and we would go up sometimes.
We also took tunnels. After endless hours we finally stopped I said. "Okay guys. Lets camp here and we can go off tomorrow." everyone nodded and put everything down. Blueblood still held his torch which was already burning low.
I walked over to him and he said "I know we are close I can feel it. Its like a pull. Or a smell that you just can't find." he looked left and then right. "I know we'll find it." I hugged Blueblood and we stated to set up.
We first got a few torches from around the room we were in a and lit them on fire. We also got out bags to sleep on. After We laid down the moment my head touched the floor I was out.I dreamed I was walking down a tunnel, I was laughing and suddenly a scream ripped through the walls.
I gasped and turned to look at Blueblood but he was looking at me horrified. I took a step towards him and he said "no... No! NO PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM ME! YOU KILLED HER! No. You killed her...you killed..." his voice drifted away as he slowly started to melt away.
A horrifying scream ripped through the tunnel again and when I turned back around I started to walk again. I walked past my dad who was sobbing. I walked past Metin who looked ready to kill me.
I walked past Ren who looked scared and disappointed. He screamed "You lied to me! Your no queen!" I felt tears sliding down my face. I walked past my mother who said in a cold voice.
"You left me to die! You did this... You did this to me, it's all. Your. Fault. I couldn't wake up. I wanted this nightmare to end. I finally came to my dragon. I sighed and smiled at her but when I looked at her face it was burned and twisted. She said "I WILL KILL YOU! YOU LEFT ME IN THAT TERRIBLE HOLE TO DIE! YOU LEFT ME AFTER I SAVED YOU!" suddenly her mouth snapped open and she blew fire on me.
That's when I was woken. I sat up quickly and screamed. I crawled away from Blueblood and Aradace. They woke up instantly after my scream. Aradace looked over at me and took a step towards me but I whimpered and cried out "No please I didn't mean to leave you! I still love you!"
I rocked back and forth on my heels. After a moment I saw Blueblood get up and take a pace towards me "I whimpered again and said softer "I didn't mean to kill her I promise. I won't hurt you too... I'm sorry..." Blueblood took another pace and said in a soft soothing voice, " it's okay Lily, who did you kill?"
I shook and said I killed mother..." Blueblood said "No... No you didn't, your mother had a Heart attack remember?" it wasn't your fault. No one blamed you for that."
I looked up and him and whimpered "Really?"he knelt next to me and pulled me to him he said "Of course love, you would never kill your mother. You loved her too much to ever harm her."
I nodded and then Aradace stepped forward She said "Lily you never left me... You woke up on my wing and woke me before we all left to leave the main cave." I still love you with all my heart!"
I looked up at Aradace and stood. I wrapped my arms the best I could around her huge neck. I smiled against her scales when I felt a deep rumbling noise and realized she was purring. I laughed and we all stepped back.
I was back to normal. I said "I'm really sorry for giving you guys a scare. I had a nightmare and you guys blamed me for things I thought never happened. My mom accused me of killing her and Aradace you said you were going to kill me.
I turned to Blueblood and said in a almost too soft to hear whisper "you said to stay away from you because I killed her. You thought I was going to hurt you too..."
He looked heartbroken and I ran to him and he engulfed me in a warm hug. I smiled and he smiled too and kissed my forehead. I looked at everyone and then said "I'm sorry though.
We should probably get moving who knows how much time we wasted already." Blueblood said quickly "No time is wasted on you." (Awe How Cute!!!)
We all nodded and I looked into one of the tunnels. I felt a strong pull and walked in. I grabbed Blueblood hand and we all ran through the tunnels. After about 4 hours of non stop running we finally went through one last reference and suddenly we sprang into a huge cave.
It was green. There were trees growing up to the ceiling and vines hanging from the canopy. There were springs running through the forest and in the middle there was a clearing with A huge stone Platform. I gasped and said 4
I laid there not moving as I watched the travelers come into the cave. One of the travelers was a girl, she seemed to be leading them with confidence though I could feel her excitement. I looked at the other traveler he was a man.
Did he seem to be connected to the girl somehow maybe soul mates? Eh, haven't seen one in years. I finally looked at the last one.
I nearly shot out of my spot. A DRAGON! Yes, yes I know who these people are! Never said anything about a man But it's okay THEY'RE HERE! Once the got real close to the stone I stepped out.
Lily P.O.V
We looked at the beautiful cave. It has holes in the ceiling emitting a beautiful light. The trees grew thick and the foliage was teeming with lizards and other life that has made its way into this safe Lily.
(ha you see what I did there safe Lily!)
The cave was quite large but after a moment of looking and taking it all in we started moving forward. After a few moments, Aradace stepped back a few yards to make sure it wasn't a trap. We slowly made our way to the altar where the Dragon stones would be.
When we finally made our way to the forest before I could step in the forest a figure stepped out from the shadows. I gasped I heard Blueblood gulp and I heard Aradace behind me growl. She stepped forward and hid me behind her leg.
The other Dragon dipped his head and spoke. "Greetings, Lily in glad you have survived so far to be so big and such a leader. You've done good darling.
Aradace, you've done good taking care of her, a fine Dragon you've grown to be." I took another breathe and stepped forward the other Dragon dropped his head down to looks me in the eye and I said "Well, you seem to have us at the disadvantage.
You see you know our name but we do not know yours. If you would be so kind to share your name?"
I stared him in the eyes and after a moment he dropped his eyes and said "Yes, my queen, you see I do not have a name, I was never named by my rider because I've yet to find him..."
Blueblood took a step forward so he was at my shoulder. He brushed up against me and as I felt the sparks it made me shiver.
Blueblood said "Dragon? How old are you?" and what Dragon are you?" the Dragon looked at Blueblood with new respect. He said "I am 18 and I am a mountain Dragon. I and Blueblood looked at each other, "The Parchment!"
I looked back at the dragon and Blueblood took a step forward and held out his hand.
The dragon looked at Blueblood and dipped his head to lay his head against his hand. They both felt it. It was a connection like a burn.
but it felt good. The dragon reared his head back and looked at Blueblood with new found love. Blueblood whispered, "you're my dragon..." The dragon grew very happy.
He Reared up and let out a roar of joy. He flapped his wings and we all laughed covering our eyes.
Blueblood stepped forward and wrapped his arms around the neck of the dragon, well as far around as he could get.
Since Blueblood was 2 years older his dragon was 2 years older than Aradace meaning His dragon was much bigger. Blueblood stepped back and said, "Dragon your name is now Briggen." Briggen dipped his head and smiled.
I and Aradace looked at each other knowing what would happen tonight.
" After a moment, Briggen and Aradace stepped to the side and Me and Blueblood stepped forward we stepped up to the altar and looked at it. It was made of rock with 4 rocks in the shape of a cylinder on the edge of the altar.
It was beautiful. I groped around in my backpack and found my Dragon stone. I looked through it and suddenly there were dragons dancing around in the stone.
There were mountain dragons and water dragons there were beautiful green forest dragons. There were white dragons and then there was a fire Dragon.
Only one. There were many of the other dragons but only 1 fire Dragon. I'm guessing Aradace is the only one. I smiled sadly at the vision. I finally took a breathe. I said "I am Lily the Dragon Queen.
Show me where you reside so I can find you." I don't know where the words came from but all the dragons danced to different points on the altar.
I smiled. I picked a direction. "W!" all the sudden there were only the dragons on the w point. There were about 38 of them. There were a mix of blue and green.
I smiled and then there was a spark and a line of blue and green sprang from the altar and it zipped down through the tunnels. It pulsed like a heartbeat.
I looked at all the dragons and they were jumping and flying and dancing across the altar. I grabbed Aradace and Lain grabbed Briggen and they started running through the tunnels following the lines.
After a while we all decided it was time to stop. After the Dragon had ran for 2 hours straight we decided they should walk to conserve their strength for flying. Now 4 hour later we have stopped. After Lain and Briggen fell asleep together.
I got up and walked through the tunnels still following the line. After a little bit of walking I felt the wind on my shoulders. I laughed and took a deep breathe through my nose. I smelled the crisp smell of nighttime winds.
I heard the hoot of an owl and the growls of an animal stalking for a nighttime meal. I crept up and saw the stars. I looked around and noticed the blue and green line going through the forest. It was a beautiful warm night.
The moon was full and it shed a cream light on anything it touched. I smiled slowly. I looked up and climbed the outcrop of rock that was over the exit and sat down. I started off into the woods thinking of all the dragons we would find.
After about an hour I heard something below me. It was big. I'm guessing it was Aradace coming to see what was wrong. I waited. I heard a huff and a sweet voice say "Oh, what will I do with her... I bet she's so stressed about all the dragons.
Shell be living in the deep black pit of her own thoughts for now on..." I went over her words and noticed that she was right. I had been thinking about the dragons and if I really could lead them and keep them well and thriving
. I sighed and Aradace whipped around to look at me. She let out a sigh of relief and she wrapped her very long snack around me.
I squeezed her neck, not enough to make it hard to breathe but enough to find comfort. She straightened up and said "I am right aren't I?"
I nodded and she said "well, I know what will get your mind off of that." I sat up straighter and opened my eyes wide. Was she going to fly?
She nodded and I said "Woah did you read my mind...? She didn't say anything but I heard a beautiful voice in my head say "yes." then I heard it again say "You really think my voice sound beautiful?"
I nodded and in my head said "Yes of course I'll never forget your angelic voice. I'm so glad we can talk in our heads now!"
she laughed out loud and said "well yes. But now I can't talk out loud anymore so I can only speak to you now..." I nodded. Good, I only want me to be able to talk to you anyways.
" She nodded her head and said "But since you are the Dragon Queen every Dragon can talk to you Now in their heads... You can talk to any Dragon." I smiled. I liked the sound of that.
I grabbed one of the horns Aradace had been growing. It was black and very beautiful. I grabbed it and slid down her neck into her back. She took of with me standing on her neck. I laughed and said in my head.
"Let's go up to look at the stars." Aradace didn't respond but instead flew upwards. After a while she flew steady and when I looked down for as far as I could see there was a line that crosses over the land.
I looked at Aradace and said "Do you see that line. The blue and green line?" Aradace shook her head and said, "Only the Dragon Queen can see the line connecting all the dragons."
I sat in silence and after a while of flying, I felt myself drift to sleep. The darkness consumed my body and left me floating on the sea of nothingness. There was nothing yet everything going through my head. I let myself drift through the waters of life. Along the way, I saw pictures.
Pictures of everyone I love. I saw my mom and my dad. Aradace. Lain. I even saw Briggen. I saw so many other dragons but I felt that I loved every one of them. They called out they said. "Lily! Lily, whenever you need us just wish upon a star. We are all looking at the same stars! You'll find us someday!"
some called out "Come Home my queen!" or "We will protect you with our life!" some even said "We will always be there with you." then I saw Metin. She was sitting with a Dragon.
The Dragon was white and when Metin touched the Dragon it would let steam through its nose. I smiled. I let myself go even deeper into the sea of nothing.
I smiled and then I hit a wall. I grabbed it and pulled myself up. When I was standing I noticed not once did I see myself as anything or anyone.
I didn't see me as a small child and not me as myself now. Don't I love myself? Then suddenly there was a presence next to me. It was a Dragon and she said "Hello Lily. I am the Dragon Queen before you.
I am here to tell you that you're doing great and I know you'll make it. You and Aradace are doing amazing and I'm so proud. You'll be a great queen one day.
I want you to know that tomorrow things will happen that you could never have been prepared for.
Right now Metin is receiving the same words. She will realize that she never prepared you for this. But you will see through it and know what to do.
I know you will. Take care and stay with Aradace. I wasn't there to care for her.
My little one needs your protection as well as you need hers. Goodbye." I woke up and realized 7 She was a red dragon. +
I woke up and, startled I looked around the cave. I saw Aradace and Briggen. Then I saw Blueblood. I knew I was safe after a moment but the dream was still there. I got up and when I took a step Blueblood whipped his head up and gasped.
I thought it was because of me but after a minute he rubbed his eyes and slowed his breathing. I crouched next to him and said "Blueblood, what's wrong was it your dream?" he looked startled again and said "Yeah it was a really weird dream.
A huge grey dragon came to me and said he was the king of dragons and that I should take care of Briggen because it was my duty and that I should protect you too. I don't know it was weird." I gaped at him he just described my dream except my dream was with the dragon queen.
I quickly told Blueblood and he got up and said something to Briggen. I got Aradace up in My mind because I could only talk to her in my mind. Blueblood looked at me for a brief second before telling Briggen about the dream. I told Aradace exactly what I saw and she said "I wonder what this means... Now that we know that the queen of dragons was a fire dragon and the King was a mountain dragon.
That must mean that those species are more dominant." I nodded. Well. We need to still find the water and forest dragons. I need to find them." I looked at Blueblood and Briggen and they nodded their heads agreeing to my unsaid statement. "Alright, let's go then." I lead the way out having already scouted the night before. Once we were outside I turned to Aradace and she bent her head down.
I got on and I saw Blueblood look at Briggen with disbelief when Briggen followed Aradace' lead and lowered his head to Blueblood could climb up. I laughed and said "Come on Blueblood it's easy just grab hold and haul yourself over his neck. When you set the scales should adjust so it's like a built-in seat. You won't fall.
Its impossible, unless you jump." he looked incredulous and I laughed again. But he climbed on and still looked uneasy. I turned back and Blueblood said, "Who in their right mind would jump off..." I smirked and said back "You would be surprised.
" He huffed and I smirked again. I nodded to Aradace and Briggen and they both launched into the air at the same time. At first, we got some turbulence because both of the wings of the dragon were creating air gusts. Then we leveled out and started heading towards the way the green and blue line leads.
I could see the line but I guess no one else could. I smiled and once we were high enough I told Aradace of my plan and she nodded her head slightly.
I smiled and stood up. I heard Blueblood gasp and when he said "Lily you should prob-" I cut him off as I suddenly jumped off of Aradace' neck.
I free fell for a minute before gracefully landing back on Aradace' neck. I looked back at Briggen and Blueblood. Briggen'Eyes for full of admiration and Blueblood eyes were filled with Fear and Concern.
I smiled and said "I'm a great flyer you won't have to worry about me. It comes instinctively. You know being the queen and all." after that we flew on for about 5 hours before the line started to steadily curve to the right.
I focused really hard and tried to transfer the image to Aradace. After a moment Aradace curved along the line and I sighed with relief.
She said, "I thought it would take a little longer before you would be able to send pictures through the link." I nodded and said nothing. After a few more hours of sending pictures back and forth, the sun started to set again.
I looked back at Briggen and surprised myself by talking through a link I felt with him. He looked startled too and I said. We must land soon. It's getting dark." he nodded and asked "how can you talk to me in my head.
I thought only dragon riders could do that with their own dragons." I shook my head and said, "I am the queen I can communicate through a link I have with every dragon." Briggen looked at me with new respect and I smiled.
When I turned back around I noticed we had slowly started to descend looking for a place to camp. After about 30 minutes we found a big clearing. It had a waterfall I'm one corner and a rock on the other end. I smiled and we landed.
I jumped off of Aradace's neck and landed lightly on my feet. I looked around and nodded to myself. I looked up at Briggen. He was landing next to Aradace. When Briggen landed Blueblood jumped or rather jump/fell off of Briggen's neck.
I laughed quietly and then I said to Aradace and Briggen.
"You should go hunting real quick. Get something for both of you to eat and then bring something for me and Blueblood." they both nodded an took off again.
Blueblood came over and protested he said "wa- Why is Briggen leaving! I didn't tell him to go anywhere." I shook my head and said "I'm sorry, I thought it would be faster if they hunted together.
" Blueblood looked at me and smiled. He said "Yeah it probably would have. Sorry, for you know freaking out." I laughed and said "Its fine, it's normal for a king to worry anyway.
" I walked away but turned to wink at Blueblood. He laughed and then looked startled. I turned fully back around and frowned. "What's wrong Blueblood?" He shook his head and said "I'm just not fit to be a king.
I can't even look after my family let alone a whole kingdom of people and dragons..." I walked up to Blueblood and without thinking reached up and gave him a sweet and short kiss.
I said "You have me remember. I will know how to lead everyone." he smiled and took my hand. I said "Well we can't be queen and king of we can't survive one night so let's get a fire going so when the dragons come back we can eat quickly.
Blueblood nodded and took out a flint and steel from his backpack he looked up and said, "What does Metin not have in these backpacks." I laughed and shrugged.
I walked around the edge of the clearing and found some sticks and logs.
I brought them to the middle of the clearing and made them into a circle with some standing up against each other. Blueblood stepped over and struck the flint and steel once or twice to get a small fire started.
After the flame caught I bent down and blew softly on the flames whispering nice things to the earth. Suddenly the fire free big. It started to really burn. 🔥
I smiled and wiped the sweat from my forehead. I turned to Blueblood and he laughed at me. I shrugged and found a mirror in the backpack. First I rolled my eyes but I looked in the mirror to see spot covering my cheeks.
It was like black blush. I laughed and for a moment I and Blueblood couldn't stop laughing. We only stopped when we heard wing beats. I smiled and stood.
I saw Aradace and Briggen carrying something in their mouths and then Aradace was holding something small in her claws and Briggen was holding something small in his claws.
I smiled and turned to Blueblood I said "They brought food." we both smiled and turned to wait for the two dragons flying very low over the trees. Once they landed I noticed that they both had a big animal for their food and they had something very small in their claws for us.
Aradace had a type of wild dog called a rust. Its a red looking wild dog who lives in any type of woods. It's very good. Briggen had gotten Blueblood a Retune(rea-tune), it's a type of bird that's actually pretty big.
They like to roost in the tall canopies of tall trees. I grabbed the Rust and Blueblood grabbed the retune. We took it over and started to skin and pluck the animals.
After we were done with gutting and preparing the food we grabbed a metal stick they Metin had put on the side of our backpacks. I smiled and stuck the rod through the rust. Jain did the same. We then put the animals over the fire and waited while the cooks slowly.
A few hours later they were ready to eat. They smelled so good. I pulled the Rust towards me and away from the fire. I kept the metal rod in place while I ate just to make it easier. I took the first bite and a burst of a million flavors swept through my mouth like a flood.
It was amazing. I smiled and sat back while I ate. I looked at Blueblood and he seemed to be having the same reaction. I smiled and looked at Aradace and Briggen.
They seemed to be enjoying their meals. We ate and ate till we couldn't eat and what we couldn't eat we wrapped up and put in a box. (Metin gave them magical boxes AKA coolers for us) and then we put them in our backpacks.
There seemed to be endless space in the backpack Then again there probably was. We all laid down after we were done and I sat down with Aradace leaning against her neck that she curled around me. I thought to her "You are getting really big.
I wonder if the stand will be able to hold you while you shrink." she chuckled sadly and said, "We will just have to make it better." I looked at her and noticed she was gloomy and sad I asked her " what's wrong Aradace. Come on tell me.
" Aradace took in a huge breathe and said "Well... Whenever I see You and Blueblood well I don't know it hurts. I wish I could have that..." that statement broke my heart. I could hear every single piece crash the ground.
I sighed, I said "Aradace we Will find you, someone. Maybe you have to be a little older and then you'll find your mate.
" She nodded and said, "You really think so?" I said "I Know so" she seemed to be happy with my answer because she laid her head down and pureed to me. I scratched her head and she leaned against me more.
I smiled What would I do without you Aradace. Nothing. I looked over to Briggen. I saw him looking at Aradace and I said through the link.
"Briggen?" He looked startled but said "y yes?" I said "I've noticed you stare at Aradace whenever you get the chance or whenever you think you're not being watched.
Is there something you need to tell me?" he started to say no but stopped he said "yes, there is something I need to tell you... I nodded encouragement and he said "I believe Aradace is my mate.
I don't know how but I just know that whenever I'm around her I get nervous or whenever I'm away I start to worry about her.
I think... I think I love her." he bowed his head as if ashamed of loving my dragon. Something he could not touch. He looked like a girl who loved a dress but couldn't have it. I smiled and said "Briggen I'm so glad you love her. I want you to keep being near her.
She is really depressed right now because she thinks she will never find someone to love her. She needs love Briggen. I believe you could be mates but I think she needs to be a tad older. Will you do this for me?"
he nodded vigorously and said "Oh thank you, my queen, thank you. I will love her with all my heart I promise." I chuckled "Don't promise me promise Aradace.
" he stood and walked lovingly over to the sleeping Aradace. He touched her cheek lovingly and whispered "I love you, I always will, I'll always be there for you and I won't leave you.
I Will wait as long as it takes for you to love me but it will be worth it. +
The next morning I woke up Briggen had slept in a different spot but had no doubt felt a lot better. I woke up before everyone else so I was watching everyone. I gazed into the forest a couple of times.
I've sworn that there was movement. I stood up and walked closer to the edge of the forest. Close enough that I could call Aradace but far enough to where I could see. I stepped over rocks being very quiet. I looked then I looked again.
I shrugged and when I was about to turn around I felt cold steel against my throat it wasn't the nice steel it was sharp. A man was pressing a knife to my throat. I stopped moving but slowly looked to my left. He pressed harder and I stopped but I swallowed hard. He whispered in my ear "don't move, don't scream, I wouldn't want to mess up a pretty girl like you.
" I started to say something but the next thing I knew I was being dragged through the forest. Fast. I tried to remember where I was or where he was taking me. I remembered the link I screamed through it "Aradace! Help me!
Someone's trying to kill me!" I heard her gasp and stand up. She said "I'm on my way." I knew she was getting Briggen and Blueblood up. Briggen I knew would wake up immediately and Blueblood I knew after hearing what was wrong would be going.
I tried to look at the guy but I couldn't. All I knew was that we were heading the opposite way of the blue and green lines. I whispered "why are you doing this?"
he stopped. He turned me to face him and I was presented with a mirror image of Blueblood I gasped slightly I said "Why, why would you do this?" he said "Because I have to" All I saw then was blackness.
I woke up and looked around. I was chained to a wall hanging from my hands. I had no idea where I was. The lines were still there though. I still felt the link so I weakly whispered "Aradace? Are you still there?"
I heard her gasp and scream out in anger "Where ARE YOU!" I winced and she felt my pain she said "Lily, where are you? We've looked everywhere?" I shrugged and cursing silently I said "I really don't know it was a man, a man who looked exactly like... Like... Blueblood .
" I heard her tell Jain and then she roared in anger. I swear the whole world could here it but then again. I couldn't. I suddenly felt very sick and sad. I knew that this is what Blueblood was feeling. I sighed. I though I would stay in here forever but I heard the door open.
I snapped open the link and concentrated really hard. I heard a whisper and Aradace said "Whoa, I can... I can see what your doing. And what's happening." after that she was silent as she was watching. Waiting. Just like I was.
I kept my head down and I felt the presence in front of me he said "Lily, look at me." I shook my head. I grabbed my chin and yelled "Look at me!" I flinched and he said in a soft voice "Oh I'm so sorry did I scare you? Here I'll get you down sweetheart.
" I mentally threw up. He unclaimed me and caught me as I fell. I never even touched the ground. I shrugged out of his arms and he dropped me he yelled "Don't EVER do that again!" I flinched and a tear fell. I heard Aradace roar through my link.
It made me wince more and he knelt down and looked genuinely sad. He said in a sad voice "Oh sweetheart did I hurt you? I'm so so sorry for dropping you. It won't happen again. Scooter away from him and he looked hurt he said "Are you afraid of me? I'm sorry.
" he picked me up and held me tightly. He said "I'll take you to the kitchen and serve you a meal. Then I'll take you to my room so you can get comfortable. I'll leave you there while I go to a meeting and then I'll be back so we can have some fun.
I mentally cringed what did that mean? He carried me through the doors and passed the guards that bowed. I frowned and wondered what is happening. I waited to see where we were going. I took in every detail and memorized the way.
We passed a window that was open and oh I knew where I was going. He pushed through some doors and set me down at a table. He yelled "Maids! Get her a meal! And make it good so she will be happy!" threw maids rushed out of the kitchen and have me two platteres.
The lisfted them and what I saw before me looked good. I ate some of it but I just could eat all of it because of the fact that Blueblood , Aradace, and Briggen weren't eating. I heard Aradace she said "Lily eat all of it. You need a strength to run.
" I sighed and ate the rest. I choked it down and drank a glass of water. I looked up at the guy and forced a weak smile. He took it as a smile saying thank you. He said "Your welcome for the food. Now come this way and I'll leave you in our room.
He's funny. I'm not staying in that room. I molded sadly and he took that as agreement. He pulled me along and I made a mental map in my head. I knew where to go. He opened a door and pulled me over to the bed. He said "I have to go. Bathroom is in there and closer is there.
I have some clothes you can wear instead of that. I nodded. Once he was gone I went to the bathroom and pulled my hair up and walked out. I looked in the closet. I looked at all the dresses and left the closet.
I would NOT be needing any dresses. I waited a few more minutes and then peeked out the door. A guard was outside my door. I made a quick plan and opened the door. The guard turned in surprise and said "Lord Mabuz said to stay here.
" I said "Awe but I wanted a tour of the castle. I also wanted someone very strong and brave and very nice. It seems that Mabuz left me with the perfect guy." I was mentally choking on my words.
I smiled widely when he stood more proudly he said "Why of course I bet he would want me to lead you around the castle." I nodded enthusiastically he smiled and said "Right this way." I let him go first and he started talking about the castle I walked right behind him walking softly so when I left He would think it was normal.
I listened for a bit but when he walked passed the open window and I stopped and dove out of the window on the deck. I closed the window softly and quietly. I smiled and fist pumped. After a minute I looked around and said to Aradace "Have you been watching?"
she replied "Everything." I then heard wing beats. I looked over the trees and saw a huge grey dragon and a big red dragon. I laughed and stood on the railing waiting. They got closer and I started waving my hands. Aradace saw this and sped up.
She got as close to the wall as she could and sent me a message "Jump." just then the window opened and the guard and Mabuz came out and Mabuz screamed "No sweetheart don't jump don't and yourself!" I took one look at him and jumped as far away as possible.
I hung in the air for a minute before landing on aradace's neck. I slid into place and Aradace shot off. I looked back to see Mabuz and the guard standing in shock. I was happy that I got away. I screamed with joy and laughed. I yelled to Blueblood and said "You came!" I'm so glad.
" I hugged Aradace's neck and she pureed with joy. I have her the image of the Lines and she changed direction. We flew till Aradace and Briggen couldn't fly any longer. We made it back to the clearing and the camp looked the same except that there were a few deep grooves in the ground probably from a angered red dragon I knew.
It was very dark and I sat on my back and stared at the stars. I heard Aradace and Briggen They were sitting together and they were happily talking. I smiled at them and then looked to my left. Blueblood was sitting down next to me. We he was sitting I lunged at him and hugged him.
I said it was only for hours but I missed you to death. He looked at me incredulously and said "Lily it's been days. Only today Aradace could get a hold of you. We searched and searched. I didn't know that we had flown so close to Mabuz's castle. I never knew he knew about you." I sighed and said "wow I never knew.
" I hugged him again and he kissed my head. I walked over to Aradace and Briggen and in my mind I said to Briggen "so what about you and Aradace?" he looked embarrassed embarrassed he said "I told her and she was happy.
She said that she was so glad that I felt the same." I smiled and Aradace said in my head "Briggen said he loves me!" do you think that he really loves me?" I nodded and said "Aradace I KNOW he loves you. The way he looked at you.
Or sleeps close to you so he can be near you. He really does love you. So you love him?" she said "I do. I never knew how to tell him. When we first met him he was so big and nice. He cared about you and Blueblood and he made sure we were all happy.
Then the first time that Blueblood flew on him he made sure Blueblood was okay. I knew." she lowered her head and said "Its just like you and Blueblood ." I smiled and Blueblood came up and took my hand entwining our fingers together.
I smiled at him and said "Well I'm super tired so I need sleep. I sat between Aradace's feet and made myself comfortable. I soon let the darkness take over. And as most of my dreams started.
I was running. Someone or something big was chasing me. I looked frantically for my dragon. But I couldn't see anything. I looked down at my self. I didn't look like myself. I wasn't me. I came to the edge of the Ocean and looked at myself.
The waves made it to where I couldn't see my face but I knew that I wasn't Lily anymore. I was seeing through someone else's eyes. I looked back and saw two dragons running at me. One was red and one was grey. Were me and Blueblood chasing this man? I could see myself say something and I relaxed. I guess I wasn't going to hurt me- Or I mean this guy.
After a moment I started shaking. It felt weird but I could feel it too. Hands shaking me.I opened my eyes. Aradace was looking down at me and Blueblood was shaking me. I couldn't here his voice but I knew that were concerned.
I shook my head and tried to speak but nothing came out except a moan. Their concern grew. I tried again and I managed to get out "I can't... Hear. They started panicking and Aradace touched my head and I felt warmth spread through my body. Suddenly the world dropped on me and I could suddenly hear everything.
I sat up real fast and looked to the left. I saw the man there staring at me in shock. I yelled at him to stop and come here but he turned and bolted. I climbed on Aradace and Blueblood got on Briggen. I started to get Aradace to run and we bolted after him.
After a minute we broke through the treeline and saw him bending over the water. He looked at us and we stopped running. I said "Calm down, I just want to talk." I saw him relax and knew we just acted out our dream. I got off of Aradace and noticed that I fell for a lot longer.
Aradace is really growing tall. I walked towards the man and he said "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to disturb you. I was trying to find the queen and it led to you and it-" he stopped once he realized I didn't know what he was talking about. I said "Your fine you didn't disturb me.
Which queen and how are you finding her?" He took a deep breathe and said "Okay, I'm trying to, don't think I'm crazy, I'm trying to find... The Dragon Queen. And I'm using this to find her. He held out a colorful rock that had some lines on it.
I held out my hand and when the rock touched my hand all the colors on the rock started to glow one by one. I stared in wonder at all the colors. The man looked at me with awe and then when the colors faded he bowed. I felt proud and I said "You may rise. Tell me everything you know.
I'm trying to find my dragons. I believe you an help me." he said "Yes my queen, have you already been to the rock in the mountain of mazes? I nodded remembering the name for Future reference. He said "Good, have you picked a race of dragons to find? Are you following the Lines?
I nodded and said "I'm looking for the water and forest dragons. The line ends... Somewhere." I looked around and said "the forest line leads into a cave. But the water line leads into this ocean." he nodded and said "Good."
We talked and talked and talked. I learned that water dragons can breathe underwater and that they have no wings and can't breathe fire. I also learned that breeding two dragons together that are different could result in a different subspecies of dragons.
I also learned that when a mountain dragon feels sick you can feed him rocks and they will make him feel better. Fire dragons can not only breathe fire but sometimes set themselves on fire without hurting the rider. When a rider is bound to a fire dragon they are immune to fire. I really wanted to test this information.
I got up and got a torch. I got Aradace to light it and so thought telling anyone what I was doing I put my hand in the fire. Blueblood yelled out and Aradace stood up so fast I thought she would hurt herself. I kept my hand there and started to feel tingling.
I smiled and said to Aradace "blow fire on me." she was outraged she said "Of course I will NOT. Do you think I want to make you into a pile of ash?!" I laughed and said "No the man his name is Bale, he said that when a rider is bound to a fire dragon they become immune to fire.
I only feel a little tingle wherever the fire touch's." Aradace nodded slowly and then opened her mouth. I could see the back of her throat light up as the fire got closer. I saw Blueblood start to panic but I smiled. Aradace blew fire on me. It engulfed me. I could hear the swoosh and crackle of the fire.
I loved the feeling. It was like my whole body was tingling. I laughed and once Aradace's fire was out I laughed and hugged Aradace. I was ecstatic. Aradace said, "Oh my gosh that's SO cool!" I laughed and said "This is amazing.
And guess what. You can light yourself on fire and I can still ride you. And you're fine too!" she jumped around and asked, "How!?" I laughed and said "I don't know, blow fire on you foot see what happens." she lifted her foot and then blew some fire on it. At once it spread like fire and gasoline.
She said, "Your right it kind of tingles." I laughed and got on Aradace. I told her to fly and she did. We were flaming across the sky. After a little, we dive into the ocean. When we came out we were fine.
No fire no smoke. No anything. I walked over to Blueblood and he grabbed my hand. He immediately jerked his hand away and I could see a huge burn in his hand.
He said "Lily! You're hot to the touch! Oooooooooowwww!" I looked at his hand a reached for it but again I was hot to the touch. I felt tears come and fall down my face.
They steamed and evaporated into the air. I ran back to the water and dove. I swam underwater and around me, the water boiled.
I went deeper and eventually, there was no more water boiling. I swam back up and put. I touched the water and it didn't boil. I touched everything I could and got no reaction.
I wasn't hot anymore. I ran to Blueblood and grabbed him. At first, he struggled because he thought I was still hot. I kissed his cheek and then lifted his hand to look at it.
It was burned very badly. It was black around the edges. I leaned down and kissed his hand. He screamed and I saw red flames coming from the wound. It started to heal.
We both looked at his hand in awe. It was completely healed with no scar. He looked at me and then to his hand. Back and forth.
I smiled and he did too. We both laughed. Bale came over and said "When a person bonds with a fire dragon they get special abilities. That's why people were so afraid of a Fire dragon rider. You can heal people you care about. You can make yourself heat up so you burn whoever touches you.
You can also summon fire and use it for your aid." He turned to Blueblood, "When someone is bound to a mountain dragon they get 5× stronger. Basically, they are stronger than anyone in the world. You be the king, it makes you stronger than any of the other mountain dragon riders.
You can also camouflage into any earth surface." I turned to kain "Oh! Can you blend in with the trees? Come on go over and try." we all walked to a couple of trees.
With Blueblood put his back to a wide tree and waited for a second he slowly started to disappear. I looked around. Blueblood? Are you still in the same spot?" he reached out and when his hand left the tree his arm turned to normal.
I smiled. "That's awesome." he moved from the tree and for a second he still liked like a tree. I said "That's great, you can hunt much better." we all laughed. We both looked to Bale.
I said "So you have any more useful information we need to know about?" he nodded and said "I have a dragon." we stared at bale. He had a dragon? All of the sudden both Briggen and Aradace jumped over us and stood in protective stances. I walked up to them and looked between them.
On the other side of them stood a very tall very pretty bright green dragon. I stood Back and looked at Bale. He said "Yes that's my dragon. You need to calm him yourself because you're the queen and you control all dragons now. He stood back and crouched.
Blueblood stood in front of him so he was out of view of his dragon. I walked forward and to the dragon. I stepped forward. The forest dragon lowered his head so I could look it in the eye. I felt a new link and opened it. I could feel the other dragon his concern and his love for his rider.
I smiled. I said "Hello, I am Lily, you might know this but I'm your queen. I know you are worried about your rider.you probably felt his panic. He is fine and I need you to calm down because your worry is affecting me and your rider.
I had noticed that my head had filled with worry about people and about Dragons and I was wondering about too many things at once. The Dragon lowered himself to the floor and bowed his head. He said "Yes my queen. I'm sorry. Bale was missing from the cave of the forest. I was very worried that someone has found the cave and stolen Bale.
" I nodded. "Bale! Come forward." I heard hurried footsteps and bale shot forward. He said, "Yes my queen?" I laughed. "First stop calling me that and second of all I've done it. And third of all. You can go to your dragon." He smiled widely and ran to his dragon. He jumped on his dragons neck and his dragon roared in happiness.
The Dragon looked at me and blinked in thanks. I said after a moment I said to the dragon "Now, can I know your name please?" the dragon responded "My name is Herik. (Eh-rick) I nodded. That's a suiting name for a forest dragon.
I looked towards bale and asked "Are forest dragons poisonous?" bale turned surprised and said, "Yes, how did you know?" I smiled and said "I really like finding the meaning of names, his means poisonous.
" Bale nodded "That's why I named him that." I nodded and said "How about all other forest dragons.
Tell me about them." Bale nodded and we all sat down. Aradace and Briggen went over to Herik. Blueblood and Bale and I all sat down. Bale started "Forest dragon have poison. They don't have it in their mouth no that's a snake.
They are poisonous to the touch. Only their dragon rider and the King and Queen can touch them. Or someone who has the dragon rune but that's been lost for decades. Even centuries.
" I hesitated but nodded. He continued "They also can camouflage in a forest or jungle. They can fly. Expertly through trees. They have very soft scales and that's usually their downfall.
Even though their scales are coated with poison. I nodded again. I suddenly had a question pop into my head. "What happened to the dragons?"
Bale and Erik looked at me and bowed their heads. They looked up and stared and after a split second started panicking, I didn't know why but I couldn't hear them. It was all fussy.
After a minute my vision started to get dark. I tried opening my eyes but they were already open. My vision was black and I started to see images. They were going too fast to see and after a moment they all stopped.
I looked around the black room and I heard footsteps I turned to the noise and saw a tall man. We stood for a second but He said "Hello, dearest I know you must be confused and maybe scared but you shouldn't be.
I am here to take you on a journey a very short journey through the past. Its important though not many people want to see the past. Shall we? I think the past your about to see will shock you." I nodded and he held out his hand.
I grabbed it and he said a few words and a few seconds later there was a door. A beautiful door. He said, "I can't go with you but I'll see you off."
I nodded and stepped up to the door. I reached for the handle but I looked back at the man and smiled I asked, "Wait before I go through can I know your name?"
he smiled widely and said "My darling my name does not matter. Over time it has become less and less significant. I guess over time everything really degrades into nothing.
My name, dearest, does not mean anything because nothing means everything and everything means nothing. But I can tell you that your name is important.
Remember your name because it's very significant. Don't let it fade. A color as beautiful as that should never fade. Plus black doesn't look good on you.

I was ecstatic. Aradace said, "Oh my gosh that's SO cool!" I laughed and said "This is amazing. And guess what. You can light yourself on fire and I can still ride you.
And your fine too!" she jumped around and asked "How!?" I laughed and said "I don't know, blow fire on you foot see what happens." she lifted her foot and then blew some fire on it. At once it spread like fire and gasoline.
She said "Your right it kind of tingles." I laughed and got on Aradace. I told her to fly and she did. We were flaming across the sky.
After a little we dive into the ocean. When we came out we were fine. No fire no smoke. No anything. I walked over to blueblood and he grabbed my hand. He immediately jerked his hand away and I could see a huge burn in his hand.
He said "Lily! Your hot to the touch! Oooooooooowwww!" I looked at his hand a reached for it but again I was hot to the touch. I felt tears come and fall down my face. They steamed and evaporated into the air.
I ran back to the water and dove. I swam underwater and around me the water boiled. I went deeper and eventually there was no more water boiling. I swam back up and put.
I touched the water and it didn't boil. I touched everything I could and got no reaction. I wasn't hot anymore. I ran to kain and grabbed him. At first he struggled because he thought I was still hot. I kissed his cheek and then lifted his hand to look at it. It was burned very badly.
It was black around the edges. I leaned down and kissed his hand. He screamed and I saw red flames coming from the wound. It started to heal. We both looked at his hand in awe.
It was completely healed with no scar. He looked at me and then to his hand. Back and forth. I smiled and he did too. We both laughed. Bale came over and said "When a person bonds with a fire dragon they get special abilities. That's why people were so afraid of a Fire dragon rider.
You can heal people you care about. You can make yourself heat up so you burn whoever touches you. You can also summon fire and use it for your aid." He turned to blueblood, "When someone is bound to a mountain dragon they get 5× stronger.
Basically, they are stronger than anyone in the world. You being the king, it makes you stronger than any of the other mountain dragon riders. You can also camouflage into any earth surface." I turned to blueblood "Oh! Can you blend in with the trees? Come on go over and try."
we all walked to a couple of trees. With blueblood put his back to a wide tree and waited for a second he slowly started to disappear. I looked around. blueblood? Are you still in the same spot?"
he reached out and when his hand left the tree his arm turned to normal. I smiled. "That's awesome." he moved from the tree and for a second he still liked like a tree. I said "That's great, you can hunt much better." we all laughed.
We both looked to Bale. I said "So you have anymore useful information we need to know about?" he nodded and said "I have a dragon." we stared at bale.
He had a dragon? All of the sudden both Briggen and Aradace jumped over us and stood in protective stances. I walked up to them and looked between them. On the other side of them stood a very tall very pretty bright green dragon.
I stood Back and looked at Bale. He said "Yes that's my dragon. You need calm him yourself because you're the queen and you control all dragons now. He stood back and crouched. blueblood stood in front of him so he was out of view of his dragon.
I walked forward and to the dragon. I stepped forward. The forest dragon lowered his head so I could look it in the eye. I felt a new link and opened it. I could feel the other dragon his concern and his love for his rider.
I smiled. I said "Hello, I am Haven, you might know this but I'm your queen. I know you are worried about your rider.you probably felt his panic. He is fine and I need you to calm down because your worry is affecting me and your rider. I had noticed that my head had filled with worry about people and about Dragons and I was wondering about too many things at once.
The Dragon lowered himself to the floor and bowed his head. He said "Yes my queen. I'm sorry. Bale was missing from the cave of the forest. I was very worried that someone has found the cave and stolen Bale." I nodded. "Bale! Come forward."
I heard hurried footsteps and bale shot forward. He said, "Yes my queen?" I laughed. "First stop calling me that and second of all I've done it. And third of all. You can go to your dragon." He smiled widely and ran to his dragon.
He jumped on his dragons neck and his dragon roared in happiness. The Dragon looked at me and blinked in thanks. I said after a moment I said to the dragon "Now, can I know your name please?"
the dragon responded "My name is Herik. (Eh-rick) I nodded. That's a suiting name for a forest dragon. I looked towards bale and asked "Are forest dragons poisonous?" bale turned surprised and said "Yes, how did you know?"
I smiled and said, "I really like finding the meaning of names, his means poisonous." Bale nodded "That's why I named him that." I nodded and said "How about all other forest dragons.
Tell me about them." Bale nodded and we all sat down. Aradace and Briggen went over to Herik. blueblood and Bale and I all sat down. Bale started "Forest dragon have poison.
They don't have it in their mouth no that's a snake. They are poisonous to the touch. Only their dragon rider and the King and Queen can touch them. Or someone who has the dragon rune but that's been lost for decades. Even centuries." I hesitated but nodded. He continued "They also can camouflage in a forest or jungle. They can fly.
Expertly through trees. They have very soft scales and that's usually their downfall. Even though their scales are coated with poison. I nodded again. I suddenly had a question pop into my head. "What happened to the dragons?" Bale and Erik looked at me and bowed their heads.
They looked up and stared and after a split second started panicking, I didn't know why but I couldn't hear them. It was all fussy. After a minute my vision started to get dark. I tried opening my eyes but they were already open.
My vision was black and I started to see images. They were going too fast to see and after a moment they all stopped. I looked around the black room and I heard footsteps I turned to the noise and saw a tall man. We stood for a second but He said "Hello, dearest I know you must be confused and maybe scared but you shouldn't be.

One was a very dark blue, another was a very nice green and there were two completely white dragons. Then there was another light grey Dragon. After a second I could hear what they were saying. The big blue dragon said "My queen there have been dragons in the ocean kingdom dying and disappearing.
The Humans are getting stronger, what do you want us to do?" the green Dragon spoke up too he said "Yes, my Queen there are only 238 of us forest dragons left. They have weapons and armor they enable them to get past our poison." I looked around afraid.
The queen stood up to her full night and said "I believe that we will have to go into hiding, make them believe that they have killed us off. We must make them believe they have killed us off. Tonight each of you must choose. I know, we still have years and years left to serve but we need to choose now.
I and Your king have already chosen. The fate of these children, whenever they may be born, will be great. Now choose the one that will take over until the new queen and king arrive and when they do these dragons you choose need to be ready to support the new Queen and King.
" they all nodded and the blue dragon spoke up she said, "My queen, does this mean that whenever we choose we must set it up so that the people kill us off and believe that there are no more of that species?"
The Queen looked at the blue dragon sadly and said, "Yes, My most trusted dragons, yes, you will have to give your lives so we can save all of the dragons." When she said that all the dragons bent there heads low.
I noticed the white dragons look at each other sinisterly. Everything was silent and you could hear a pin drop. They all nodded their heads and the queen and king bowed their heads.
Just then from behind two doors swung open and two teenagers about my age sprinted in. The girl was crying. They came up to the queen and king and the girl went to the queen and hugged her neck. She said the most chilling words "They, They're coming!"Everything went black.
I slowly opened my eyes. I was in a bed. I snuggled into something warm and it moved. Wait... Do pillows move? I opened my eyes and sat up. Blueblood was sleeping next to me. When I sat up he opened his eyes and sat up too.
Once he saw who I was he widened his eyes and said "You're awake! Oh my gosh, you freaked me out! I thought you were in a coma." I really wasn't paying attention because my head was being probed by hundreds of different links. I calmed myself and blocked some of them but after a minute I looked around and found an outfit.
And pulled it on. I could hear a distant voice. I stopped and looked back and cleared my head. Blueblood said, "Are you okay?" I shook my head and he got up. He was already dressed.
We linked hands and he walked me out of the room. He walked me to a huge cavern. I saw only a few dragons but it only took one. It was a small Dragon. But it was beautiful. It ran up to me and it rubbed its head on my stomach and tapped its tail to my head.
I realised it wanted to talk. I opened the link and a tiny voice said "My Queen? Are you alright? You've been asleep for a few days..." I bent down and said to the Dragon child "I am fine baby. I was just tired." She nodded her tiny head and she flew off probably towards her mother.
Just then I saw a flash of red "LILY! DON'T EVER DO THAT AGAIN!" all of the sudden wings engulfed me and I was lying on the ground. I looked up at my dragons ever growing huge face. She licked me from my toes to my head.
I yelled "Ew gross Aradace whyyyyy!" She chuckled and it sounded like a huge rumbling purr. I laughed and after a moment Aradace let me up. Unintentionally Aradace had rilled up pretty much every forest Dragon. The all stood there waiting. Happy to see the two queens.
I opened all the links and said "Hello, I am. Who is the one that will be helping me. As the Dragon Queen has asked?" All the dragons bowed and one stood and walked forward. It was younger than the queen but definitely not too young to not be wise. I stood to my full height and the Dragon bowed his head.
He said "Hello I am Moth, I have been waiting for you ever since my choosing. They told me what I had to do and what was to happen a few nights from my choosing. The forest dragons were the first to "Die off"." I nodded. Those dragons were great dragons and we shall always remember them.
Moth nodded. I asked "How long has it been since you all have seen the forest and the daylight?" a lot of the dragons looked away from my gaze and other dragons looked down sadly. The Dragon said "Only I have seen the forest and the sunlight because those were my orders."
I stared at him. I said "Moth the only kingdoms around in this country now is my kingdom and Blueblood. You can go out now. You will be safe.
My Father and mother conquered all of the kingdoms around here and Blueblood conquered all the kingdom's on the other side. This country is Dragon Blueblood.
That's what my father always called it. Your safe I give you my word." Moth smiled a toothy grin and he flew to the mouth of the cave.
He flew out after a second and everyone looked at me. I said "EVERY ONE! Fly out of the cave. Its time." every one jumped to the cave entrance and flew out. Not one Dragon was left.
I took Blueblood hand and we ran outside to see all the dragons flying around the trees. I smiled and turned in a slow circle looking at all the dragons. Some mothers were holding there babies out to teach them to fly. Some were showing there kids how to hunt.
Moth was standing almost hidden watching everyone on high alert. I knew why. It was his job. He was the protector and I was the one bearing the news that dragons were safe.
I smiled and linked Herik I said "Come to me with Bale." after a moment a dragons and a person flew towards me. They landed and bake got off he had the biggest smile on his face. He said "This is the best day of my life.
After my parents left me out here saying I needed to find something and finding Herik I knew I belonged here but I never knew that the dragons would be able to fly free not confined to some cave. Thank you so much, Lily. Thank you." I smiled and hugged him. He squeezed me and we separated.
I grabbed Blueblood hand and I said to Bale "Are there any other Dragon riders?" he nodded slowly and whispered one number "5." I smiled and clapped my hands fast I said "where are they."
Bale smiled at me and he said "They like to stay together there are three girls and two boys.
" he stepped back and called there names "Nico, Zane, Amber, Jax, Nico, and Caspian! Come here!" after five long minutes five kids all different sizes flew forward. The biggest Dragon caught my eye.
It was a beautiful emerald. They all landed and there were two older teenagers and the rest seemed to be younger than 13 years old. I smiled at them and asked "Which one of you is Caspian? Who is Jax, who is Zane and Amber?" the oldest raised his hand and said, "I am Caspian, my Queen." I smiled as He got down on one knee.
I smiled and said "rise up and tell me how old you are?" he stood up and smiled he said "I am 19 my Queen." I smiled I looked to the next boy and he looked a little embarrassed I said "Hello, you must be Jax. How old are you Jax?
Instead of him saying anything the Dragon spoke, he said "My queen, Jax is mute but he is 15 My name is Lightning. Light for short." I nodded and took a step forward I knelt and said "Jax you are all the more special to me.
" he smiled I stood back up and looked at the other girls. The oldest of them said "I am Amber my Queen and I am 16 my Dragon is named Blaze he has a back for setting things on fire." I nodded and said "Its always good to know I have a friend that's the same age as me.
They all said "What? I thought you were 18!" I laughed and said "Oh no, I am 16 my birthday was a couple of months ago. I looked at Blueblood and pouted I said, "Am I really that old looking?" Blueblood laughed and stepped forward and kissed my nose he said, "Of course not."
I smiled and turned back I knelt down to the other girls and said "Now you two. I can already foresee you two being a little trouble so names?" I smiled and laughed.
The older of The two said "I am Zane and I am 10 my Dragon is named Oak she is the only forest Dragon to be a brownish color."
I nodded and turned to the youngest I said "What's your name sweetheart?" she looked at me and then to Caspian. Caspian gave her a nod and she said "I am Nico and I am 4 my Dragon is named Orchid we found her in a field of orchids before we brought her here to be safe.
" the Dragon behind her was the Dragon that I first talked to in the cave. I said to her "You my Dragon child are the youngest Dragon with a rider I know. You take good care of Nico." she nodded her head and stood more proudly.
I laughed and picked Nico up. I bopped her on the nose and said "I think I'll keep you." she laughed and said "Like my mommy used to before she left?" I stopped and said "Yes. Like your mommy."
I looked to Caspian and he mouthed I'll tell you later. I nodded and Nico got comfortable. I stood in from of them and said "Now Amber and Caspian. I know you guys have never left this place in guessing.
I need to go back to my father and tell him about this. Now. About that I need you guys to come with me. On your dragons. You'll be safe Blueblood is coming with us and Aradace is obviously coming too."
I stopped and looked towards the kids Jax looked excited and his Dragon did too.
Caspian was nodding his head and Amber was smiling along with Zane. I said "So, will you come with me?" Caspian said "I would love to come with you my Queen."
I nodded and Everyone else nodded and said "Yes my queen." I nodded and smiled I said well we leave in a couple of weeks so you guys can prepare and I'll have enough time to...Find something that is lost."
Caspian nodded slowly. Everyone else jumped on there dragons and happily flew off. I set Nico on her Dragon and she flew off towards the cave.
I turned to Caspian and he said "I want to come with you to find the water dragons. The Dragon I was with isn't mine.
He was my father's. I believe that my Dragon is in the waters. Water was always so fascinating to me. My queen." he bowed his head." I touched his shoulder and he looked up I said "Yes of course you can.
I need Blueblood to stay here to learn more about the forest dragons. We have w weeks to find them let's go.
I looked at Blueblood and he nodded. I smiled and pecked him on the lips before following Caspian. I stopped at the cave and got out agree blue bubbles. There was a not saying I left you five of these. They let You breathe underwater.
Be careful if you drink anything you'll loose the affect. Work for however long you need them. Ah I love Metin she is so great! I grabbed them and Aradace was already there so I jumped up on her with a little bit more difficulty that I though and almost fell off Aradace had to help me with her head.
She said "I'll need a latter the next time you get on. Hahaha." I said "Very funny, now let's go I bet Caspian is already there." we flew through the trees till we saw sand and eventually the sea.
We landed and I jumped down. I laughed first and then walked over to Caspian Who was looking in the water. I gave him a blue and told him the effects before I said "Don't drink anything or it will wear off.
" Aradace was listening so I just gave her it. She swallowed it and after a minute she dove into the water and went under. She spent some time down under before she came back up. She said "I can definitely breathe underwater now.
" I nodded and not into my bubble. After a minute I walked into the water and sank down. After eating the bubble it kind of made my clothes water proof. I was so cool. I took a deep breathe and noticed I could in fact breathe like the water was air.
I saw Caspian bite his after a moment he dove in and swam around. He looked at me and said "This is so cool" I was a little startled you could hear people talk underwater.
Underwater I though back to what bale had said about water dragons he had also said that when a person is bound to a water Dragon they get the ability to not only breathe underwater they can talk too. That's cool. I nodded and said lets swim down.
Aradace clapped her wings like a propeller and we grabbed her tail and we were shot of down into the depths of the ocean. Once in a while we saw a shark and we saw tons of fish everywhere.
I looked around in awe. After a little while we came to a stop and looked around we had been selling for a good part of an hour and it was pretty dark. We decided to find a place and rest. 1
We have been looking for 6 days now and finally, I looked around and saw some coral. I let go of Aradace's tail and swim towards it. It was a light blue and seemed to glow. I swam towards it and when I got there it seemed to be growing in the entrance of the cave.
After a minute I called to Aradace and Caspian "I think this is it!" I swam in and deeper into the cave. It was like a huge tunnel. I smiled and when I reached the entrance to a gigantic underwater cave I fell through. The water seemed to have just ended.
It was like glass was holding it back. I fell through into soft sand. I find even drop. I was waterproof in A way. I looked up and into the eyes of a huge water Dragon. I stood and let my power radiate off me.
I opened the link with the dragon and said "do not fear me I am your queen and I just needed to find you." the Dragon immediately knelt down lower to the ground and I could see more dragons do that too. I said out loud "I have come to ask for the Dragon who was chosen.
One Dragon stood and walked my way. She said "I am Coral and I have been chosen by a great sea Dragon to help guide you through your life as queen.
I nodded and she bowed her head to me. Walked a little and turned back to see Aradace and Caspian fall through. Caspian looked up and fought corals eyes. They both stood hypnotized by each other.
Then when Caspian stood he said "Hello, my name is Caspian and you seem to Be my Dragon. What is your name?" Coral got excited and said "My name is Coral." I've always wanted a Dragon rider!"
Caspian smiled widely and ran to his Dragon and hugged her long neck. She was beautiful and it prided me to see a bond between two new Dragon Riders. I smiled and looked to coral.
I asked are there more Dragon riders?" she nodded and called "Nahla (Nala) come over here!" a girl that seemed to be as old as Caspian came over on the back of a dark blue water Dragon. She had long dark hair and she was very tall.
I stepped forward once she jumped down from her dragons back. I said "Hello Nahla, I am Haven, how old are you?" Nahla smiled and said "I am 17 years old. My Dragon is named Aqua."
I smiled and nodded. I looked around and touched one of the dragons. They looked very dull. I looked at coral "When was the last time everyone swam in the open?" Coral shook her head and said Only I've been out.
It was my order to keep everyone confined. Safe." I nodded and said the same thing I told Moth. I told Coral about the kingdom's and how it was safe at last I said, "Everyone, Go, swim its time to get out of this cave!"
everyone roared with joy and ran to the water. The swam through the opening. I waited for all the dragons to go and then me and Aradace and Caspian and coral followed. We swam through the tunnel to find that everyone was swimming around in awe and in joy.
I and Aradace led everyone to the surface. Where me and Aradace took off into the air. I saw some I the water dragons swim under is to shore. We all stopped at the beach and Aradace went to go get some of the others.
I still notice that the dragons stayed out and never went to the cave. Some of the water dragons were in the beach looking at the forest. I nodded at them encouragingly and then stepped up to the forest and looked around.
I saw some of the green dragons high in the sky flying in circles. I smiled and after a minute of waiting Kain and Aradace, and Briggen all came into the beach staring in awe at the blue water dragons. Some being a soft blue-green. I smiled and went over and hugged Kain. He smiled and said "You did it." I thought to myself. +
It's been a few weeks. All the kids got ready to go. This has been the first time they have left the area. Well not Caspian because he went to find the water Dragon. Because his Dragon could not fly he will fly with me. His Dragon, Coral, wanted to come so she figured out how.
Since she was a Dragon obviously we couldn't carry her. But I got out a glass. After I rubbed my hand over its glass face I saw Metin's face. She said "Hello, how have you been. Have you found the dragons?" I nodded and said "Yes, I found the water dragons and the forest dragons.
But I also figured out that water dragons do not have wings. I need your help. There are more Dragon riders that I've found with the dragons. One of them is with a water Dragon and We need to figure out how to fly with a water Dragon?" Metin disappeared for a long minute but she came back with a book.
She looked through the pages and then she looked up with excitement. She told me exactly what to do and what to say and then I told her to tell my father that I'll be home soon. I put the glass away with my stuff and looked up as Kain walked in the room. He looked at me and asked, "So what did Metin tell you to do with coral?"
naturally, the king would worry about that. I smiled and told him quickly what I had to do. Blueblood nodded and we both walked out hand in hand. As we walked out we came to the new clearing we found to fit both the water dragons and the forest dragons.
The clearing was next to the water became we found a gulf where the water entered in the forest. Some water dragons decided to stay in the water and some were on land. Some of the forest dragons laid lazily in the trees. I smiled and squeezed Blueblood hand quickly. He smiled and we walked into the clearing.
When we did the riders all came forward Bale, Caspian, Nahla, Amber, Jax, Zane, and Nico. They all came forward with their dragons. Herrick, Coral, Aqua, Blaze, Lightning, Oak, and Orchid. Moth the Dragon that was supposed to help me also came forward.
The stood on either side of me and Blueblood. We nodded at each of them and then I spoke. "We will be leaving tomorrow for my home. Me and the Dragon riders will all be leaving. I need you all to stay here, Safe.
You will still be able to come out just not so far away from home. The water dragons, will need to stay need the water but some Dragon that are willing to be the hunters for everyone need to be willing to go farther. Now I also need to do something that has never been done before until now.
I'm giving 1 Dragon, wings. Coral can you step forward. From my right a blue dragon stood forward. Everyone looked to coral and she dipped her head. I looked at Blueblood and he nodded. I stood up and slowly reminded myself of what to do.
I went towards Coral and while I did I said out loud
"Give thee wings so they can soar Above the clouds that so often pour Rain and snow and wind and hail Give thee wings that shall never fail Across the sky bearing silver tipped clouds Above the awed people forming crowds."
I finally stood in front of Coral. I finished speaking and everything was quiet. I looked at Coral and stared at her right in the eyes. I reached out and touched her head and said "The Queen of Dragon shall change this Dragon this Dragon shall have a pair of wings so it can fly as free as can be.
" All of the sudden there was light a bright and beautiful light coming from Corals back. It was a mixture of blue and white. It got brighter and brighter. Then everything stopped. Everyone looked at Coral. She now had two huge wings on her back. They were blue and at the tips they grew Light blue and then to a white.
They were beautiful. Coral stretched them out and roared in delight. We cheered and Kain came up from behind and hugged me. He whispered "Good job." I turned to Nahla and asked "Do you want Aqua to have wings?"
Nahla shook her head and said "Aqua doesn't want wings. She says she belongs in the water and I respect that decision. And... I'm well... I'm afraid of heights." she looked down ashamed. I lifted her head and said "Nahla its okay to be afraid of something. Everyone is afraid of something. Just so long as we don't let that fear overpower us."
she looked up at me and nodded. She said "I've always felt better in water. Sometimes I'll go out of the cave and swim with coral because she understood that I needed to be out of the cave. Coral always wanted to fly through. You've made her biggest dream come true."
we both smiled and I looked at Caspian. He had tears in his eyes. He said "Thank you so much, Lily. In the few weeks I've known Coral all she wanted was to fly like you. She thought it would be bad that she couldn't fly and now... She can." I smiled and hugged him.
I said "Well, now she needs you Because she doesn't know how to fly. We looked to coral who was trying to move her wings together but wasn't quite getting it. Caspian laughed and walked over to Coral he started giving her direction on how to move her wings together and how to flap.
After about an hour coral was finally flying around the clearing. I stopped coral and said "Caspian, let's see if you and Coral can fly together." Coral looked worried while Caspian looked happy.
He turned to Coral and she spilled out questions "What if I can't hold him? What if he falls? What if I can't fly with him? What if-" I stopped her mid-sentence and said "Coral. Everything will be fine.
We will get you guys to fly over the ocean so if he does fall which he can't, He will land in water." coral relaxed and bent down to let Caspian on her back. He got on and they walked over to the water. Coral took a running start and jumped up into the air.
She dropped a little bit and flapped so she could get fully in the air and away from gravity. After a while she got comfortable flying and they flew in loops and in circles flew high and then dropped. It was beautiful. Finally as the sun started to go down Coral hovered and I could hear what she said, "Wow, the sunset is so beautiful from up here.
I would sleep in the air if I could." Caspian nodded and Coral turned and landed near me. She ran up and Caspian jumped off he said "That was the best ride of my life! Oh man and the sunset from there is beautiful. Thank you so much, Lily.

She came flying and landed next to coral. They had become good friends because Caspian wasn't that far from my age. Her and Coral got along just fine. Coral and Aradace rubbed each other's face in greeting and then I climbed on Aradace's back. She was getting far to big for me to just jump up so we made a little harness the goes over Aradace's back and drops down on either side.
Low enough for me to climb but high enough to not get in the way of flying. It was also soft so it was comfortable for Aradace. Once we were both on we flew to the cave. Where Blueblood, Briggen, and Amber were waiting for us. We got off and Aradace and Briggen flew off together.
I looked towards Blueblood and he hugged me. When I leaned back He pecked me and we turned to Amber and Caspian. They were talking together.

We haven't had one in forever and I can't really handle any more attention. In only 16 you know!" he laughed and grabbed my hand. He whistled and after a minute Aradace and Briggen came flying through the trees.
I said "Hey guys we are having a night out tonight and we thought we could all go flying?" Aradace and Briggen nodded and Aradace said, "That's great because we have something to tell you anyways."
we nodded and got on their backs. We flew out over the trees up almost to the clouds. We all shared and link and Aradace said "Okay, now when I tell you this. Don't freak out. Okay?"

I stared at Aradace for so long she started to shift positions. She looked scared and sad and disappointed. So many thoughts were going through my head that I thought I would mentally explode. I finally got a grip and the wheel of emotions landed in happy. A smile lit up my face and I said "YOUR HAVING A CHILD!" oh my goodness there will be a Dragon heir already.
Wow. "Aradace and Briggen nodded and Aradace said "Is- is that okay... Your not mad r- right?" I nodded and said "I so could never be mad at you Aradace. You've made my life so much better and changed it so much. I'm so happy that your going to have a baby.
This is definitely something to talk about. Well. I'm just curious on what the Dragon will be...? I wonder if it will be a hybrid. A mountain and a fire Dragon mixed together." Blueblood was talking to Briggen in their own private link. Briggen seemed to be worried while Blueblood seemed to be reassuring him. I smiled. Blueblood was already acting like a king.
He was worried about his Dragon and about all the other dragons. He is trying to handle everything. He is working very hard in trying to learn every thing there is to know about each Dragon species. And he is also showing love and kindness to all of his people or dragons. Aradace nudged me and I noticed that I had been staring at Blueblood for a while.
I grabbed a hold of Aradace and she lifted of the ground. I climbed on her back and she flew steadily. I looked back to see Briggen lifting off with Kain on his back. I smiled and laid my head on Aradace's neck. I had a dance of deja vu as my eyes slowly started to close I dreamed.
I was walking through a castle. It was very nice. I came to a door and opened it and looked through. In there were two cribs. I walked towards the cribs but as I did they slowly started to disappear. As I stopped walking they stayed in there fading faze. I looked around and saw myself but older.
I was with Blueblood and we were talking about something but every once in a while we would look over at the crib and smile and say something.
We laughed and got up. I bent down and kissed whatever was in the crib before me and Kain walked out. Turning off the lights. Once the lights were out. I woke up. 1
I sat up straight and noticed that I was in the same bed that I was in when I first arrived in the cave. I looked over at the entrance and stood. I dressed myself and then walked out. I decided to keep the dream To myself.
I looked around to my right were a few dragons sitting and to my left there was the huge cave entrance. I walked outside and looked at all the dragons who were outside. As I walked by some dragons They would now their heads it say "Your majesty." I smiled at each of them and asked how there morning was going.
They all replied with good or fine. I would nod and walk some more. I did this many many times. Even running into water dragons. Some forest dragons and water dragons would even be together. Then two came up to me. The water Dragon was a girl and the forest Dragon was male.
I smiled at them and they bowed the water Dragon said "Your majesty, we were wondering if we could... If we could be together. Considering we are two different species we didn't know if you would want us to be together or not. We didn't want to go against you." after she said that she bowed deeply almost touching her snout to the ground.
I lifted her rather large head and brought her face to face with me. Or eye to eye. I said "My darling. I do not care who you are with. If you love him and he loves you, then be together.
I support it either way. It doesn't matter that you are two different species. If anything it makes it better." the Dragon nodded and did a little bounce she looked at the forest Dragon and he looked at her.
He rubbed the top of his head on her cheek. It was adorable. I left them in peace. I looked over every one of the dragons and talked with almost all of them.
After a long time the sun started to get close to mid day. I walked back to the cave where I would be meeting the kids.
I smiled as I saw Caspian and Coral, Amber and Blaze, Jax and Lightning, Nahla and Aqua, Zane and Oak, Nico and Orchid. They all stood together looking very excited. I looked more closely and saw Bale and Blueblood Together. Blueblood seemed to be in deep conversation with Bale.
I walked over and hugged each of the kids and picked up Nico. I walked over to Blueblood . He stopped what he was saying and faced me. He gave me a quick kiss and then went back to talking. I smiled and laughed. Nico said "Ewww. That was gross." I laughed again and said "I know, I know. Gross." we all laughed and I said to all of them.
"Are we ready to go?" they all nodded. I smiled and called for Aradace in my head. After a moment Briggen and Aradace came flying lazily towards us. I smiled. Ever since Aradace told us that she was going to have a little baby Dragon Briggen hasn't left her side. Unless she gets snappy.
Then he sits a distance away watching over her. It was the cutest thing ever. When Aradace landed I climbed on her back and we turned to the Kids and their dragons. "Lets go guys we have to leave in a little bit." they all climbed on their Dragon. I noticed Caspian getting on Coral with a smile.
She looked ready to burst out. I smiled for the millionth time and looked towards Blueblood. He was already on Briggen walking towards me. I blew a kiss and he caught it and put his hand to his heart.
I laughed and I turned to the kids. They nodded and I said to Caspian in my head "Keep and eye on Nico and Orchid. I don't want them flying too far behind." he nodded and Aradace launched me into the sky. After a minute we were all flying over the trees.
Me in the front along with Amber and Blaze. Jax and Zane right behind with Caspian and Nico flying behind them. Blueblood Brought up the rear. We flew and finally after a while me and Amber both got bored and started talking. We talked about all kinds of things.
We talked about our child hoods. Out parents. We talked about animals and crushes. I then brought up Caspian and she blushed. I said "You know I'm fine with it right. I am the queen but that doesn't mean I rule over relationships right? She laughed and nodded. She said "Ever since we were 11 we have been more than close.
He came to me one morning and have me a flower. It was rare. It was a red flower with bits of Orange in it. It looked like it was in fire. That day I found a blaze. He was abandoned in a huge hollowed out tree. He was hurt and he had somehow managed to catch the tree on fire.
I burned myself quite a lot but with the help of Moth I got him out..." I nodded and smiled. That was cute. I said "I found Aradace in a clearing under a flame tree. It was a dark oak tree with red leaves. From a distance it looked like a flaming tree. I had a dream about Aradace. She told me I had to find her.
So I did. We sat in silence for a little and we looked at each other. We both said at the same time "We have a lot in common." we both stared wide eyed at each other and laughed. She had a soft gentle laugh while my laughs was more a guy laugh. It was funny and it made us laugh harder. " Blueblood flew up next to me and said "Lily your laughing so much your going to fall off of Aradace!"
that made me laugh harder and He fell back in the rear of the group chuckling. I finally had a grip of myself and we looked at each other again still quietly laughing. We flew in and in talking some more before we had to stop. It was getting dark. We landed in a clearing and me and Blueblood set up camp.
We had Briggen and Coral go and hunt for everyone while we all sat and waited. After an hour they both came back holding plenty of food. We cooked it and are our fills and stored what we didn't eat. After a while we started talking asleep. Briggen said he would watch over. Lightning would take the next shift.
And Aradace protested and she now will be taking the third shift. Me and Blueblood stayed up for a while and watched as Nico and Zane fell asleep first while followed by Jax. The as Amber and Caspian looked at the stars together they finally fell asleep.
Me and Blueblood stayed up and talked. We told each other lots of things. We also talked about ways to find the other dragons. We made a deal. We would find the ice dragons next. We might even find more water dragons. We eventually fell asleep. We figured that nothing bad happened last night since no one was woken until morning.
I was the first one up. Aradace was sitting next to a sleeping Briggen watching everything with sharp eyes and ears. When I say up she looked over towards Me and perked up.
She said "Rise and shine beautiful." I smiled and said "Good morning." I began to move but Blueblood wrapped his arms around my waist and mumbled incoherent words. I looked to Aradace who was trying hard not to laugh out loud. I blushed and took hold of Kain's arms trying to pry myself loose.
My work was worthless. He didn't budge. I smiled and whispered in his ear. " Blueblood wake up, we have to go remember. He mumbled "no... I don't wanna." I said " Blueblood I have to get up." He said "No you don't just sit here with me." I laughed and kissed him in the cheek. He smiled and opened his eyes.
He said "I get kisses in the morning?" his voice was muffled. I laughed quietly and said "Of course." we have each other a kiss lasting a bit longer than anticipated. I blushed and shook my head.
He said "Okay but I get one more kiss." I nodded and leaned in to give him a kiss. He closed his eyes and at the last second I kisse him fast on the cheek instead and jumped up. He opened his eyes quick and jumped up He said in a loud whisper "Hey, nuh uh that was cheating get back here!"I laughed and ran towards Aradace I said "Aradace save me!" she chuckled and covered me with her wings.
I couldn't see so I closed my eyes and looked through her eyes. I saw everything a lot clearer and more vibrant there was a while lot more color. I saw Blueblood come towards Aradace. He smiled and said "Aradace, can I please have Lily back. She needs a little tiny punishment for cheating."
Aradace looked at the sky and then back to Blueblood she said "What's in it for me?" He smiled and said "EVERY morning I'll make you bacon." I said to Aradace "No...no Aradace don't do this...!"
She laughed and said "Deal." she lifted her wing and I jumped up and be for so could start running Blueblood grabbed me and pulled me over to face him. He laughed and said "You think you could get away so easily but? Well looked like you'll just have to be punished.
No one likes cheaters." I said fast "No one likes sore losers either." his eyes lit up and he said "Oh your so getting it!" he started tickling me. He tickled my stomach and I face a little bounce. I could help the laugh coming out of me. I laughed and laughed.
He tickled harder and harder until my knees collapsed and we were on the ground. I laughed so hard tears were falling down my face. He kept tickling me. I tried to say something but couldn't. Lain got off of me and we got up. We started walking towards the Backpack and got the food. I smiled and took it to Aradace and she blew a tiny tiny bit of fire of it to heat it up fast. We went around and woke everyone up. As we all finished Amber looked at me and said "Have some fun huh?" I gazed at her confused and she got out a mirror.
I looked at my reflection and almost passed out at what I saw. I had sticks and leaves in my hair and my hair was all crazy. I laughed instead and decided before I left I would go and wash. I walked to the stream that was close by. I took off my clothes and stepped into the creek.
It was a little cold but not unbearable. I laid in the water running my hands through my hair. I scrubbed the dirt and grime from my body before stepping out. I called for Aradace to dry me off. She obliged and blew fire on me. The tingling started up again it kind of tickled.
I laughed once Aradace was done and when she stood up straight she held out some new clothes for me. I smiled and took them off her tail. I dressed myself and then went back to the clearing. Everyone was eating. I took my small portion and ate it quickly before getting up. I said to everyone. "Okay, we are only about 7 hours away from the castle. We should be there by late dinner."
they all smiled and got up. I noticed that Nico looked tired I said. "Nico how about you fly with me?. We can give your Dragon a rest." she nodded and I picked her up. I walked over to Aradace. I jumped up and say down with Nico in my arms.
I saw that Orchid was coming over to me. In her head she said "Thank you Queen Lily. I didn't want her to fall asleep and accidently fall off of me." I nodded and said "It is not a problem.
I looked down at a how sleeping Nico. I looked at each of the kids and nodded. They all nodded too. I looked to Blueblood and he said "Alright let's go." we flew and flew.
I kept looking down at the sea of green and yellow. I was looking at one spot when something drew my attention. It was a huge red tree. I said to Aradace. "Its where I found you. Under that red tree. She nodded and said "Yep good Times." we flew for about 2 more hours before we flew over the Sorceresses shack.
I smiled and she. We got to the field I signaled for everyone to land. When we landed I said "Okay not long, we will just walk. I bet our dragons wings are tired. I knew Aradace's And Briggen's wings Would be just fine. The other dragons wings I bet hurt and are sore. I nodded and we started walking to the gates.
After about 15 minutes we could see the gates. The kids started getting really excited. We went the rest of the way and when we got to the gates The guards dropped to one knee and said "Princess Lily, Prince Blueblood , we have been waiting your arrival for days now.
I see you've found the dragons yes? I nodded and said "Yes we found forest dragons and some water dragons." the Guards stood and moved to the sides so we could enter. We walked through town. People stood at the sides of the streets and cheered for us.
They chanted me and Blueblood name. I smiled and Blueblood waved at everyone. We finally made it to the castle and outside the door stood my father. I jumped down from Aradace's back and ran to him. I hugged him and he hugged me he said "Oh, oh my baby you did it! You found some dragons.
" I looked at him and said "We have lots to talk about father. I looked at the doors which were opening to reveal Metin She walked out holding potions for the dragons. She gave it to each of them. After they all drank it they began to shrink. I smiled. I watched each of them shrink but Aradace wasn't shrinking.
I looked at her and then Metin said "Hmmm. Aradace? Are you going to be a mother because that is the only reason you wouldn't be shrinking." Aradace nodded and Metin. Lapped her hands she said "We are going to have little baby dragons flying around!" I laughed and turned to father. I said "Okay father, let me introduce you to some new faces.
The blue Dragon with wings is named Coral. Her rider is Caspian right her. I pointed to Caspian. My father nodded and embraced Caspian. I said "The smaller Dragon here is named Orchid. She is 4. Just like her rider. I picked up Nico and said "This is Nico, she is so adorable." my father nodded and Kissed Her on the forehead.

And lastly that is Jax. Jax is mute so his Dragon talks. Dad kissed Danes head and then bent down to the boys level. He said "Your a very special boy you hear? I can tell. I bet you have lots to say about everything.
Even if your mute you'll get it out." Jax nodded and hugged my father. My father laughed and hugged him back. I mentally awed with Aradace. We laughed together.
I looked at all of the tiny dragons and then to Aradace I got back in her and I had her fly up to the landing pad. It was absolutely gigantic. It was plenty big for Aradace. The people had made it look natural.
They put plants in it and Metin had Vines growing up the sides I could tell Aradace loved it. I could also see another big change. My room was magnificent. Instead of it being a dull pretty color it was a bright vibrant Red.
I had a my big bed still but I now how black and red bed covers. It was also two times the size my room had once been. I loved it. "I smiled and said to Aradace +
Me and Aradace flew back down to where the kids and my father were waiting. I came down and landed next to them. I said "Okay well, lets get situated shall we?" every one nodded enthusiastically and followed me through the castle upstairs to my hallway. It was a huge hallway with pillars in the side.
Between each pillar was a door. We got to the first door. I opened I up and was met by a blue interior with white bedding. I nodded and shut the door. I said "Caspian, this will be your room." he nodded and walked through.
I heard a gasp before he shut the door. I laughed and walked to the door across the hallway. I opened the door and was met by a very dark green room accented with red. I nodded and looked back out I said "Amber, this will be your room."
she nodded and when she passed close I said "Nothing naughty across the hall." I winked at her and shut the door behind me. I smiled and walked to the next room. I looked in the room and saw a very light green room accented with yellow. I nodded and looked out. I looked at Jax and before I could say anything his Dragon said "Thank you so much, Jax loves the room." Lightning nudged Jax and with a blush he walked into the room.
Well he was walking into the room. He didnt white make it. He stopped at the door and what I heard made me start crying. I heard a word. A very scratchy soft word but it was there. "Beautiful..." I stepped forward and Jax turned around "He said. Again "Its... Perfect." I bent down and engulfed him in a hug.
Lightning who was next to Jax turned to him and said "You... You talked... You said a word!" I looked at Jax his face was red and tears were falling slowly down his face. I turned around. I looked to Metin who had come up to watch me give off rooms. She stepped forward with a shocked look. I opened it and found a black and blue room. I looked back and said "Nahla, this will be your room." she nodded and happily came forward. She entered the room and shocked she slowly shut the door. I laughed and the last two girls followed me. I looked into the next room and saw a vibrant green room mixed with white.
It was a very cute room. I looked back and said "Zane this will be your room." she nodded and walked in. I smiled and looked at Nico who Metin was now holding. I looked at Metin and she smiled slightly. I looked into the other room and saw a light green and light pink room. It was perfect for Nico.
Metin put her down and I said "Hey, Nico this is your room. I'm right there next to Zane's room okay? Blueblood is in the room right next to yours so if your scared he'll protect you." Nico nodded 2nd hugged me. Metin led her in to get her ready for dinner.
I walked into Blueblood room to find him in the bed. He was looking out the window. He turned when I walked into his room. His room was grey with blue accents. His bed was grey with a blue embroider and blue and grey pillows. I smiled and Blueblood said "In ready to dinner. How bout we go get you ready huh?"
I said in a matter of fact tone. "I was just coming in to see if you were lost in the closet. I can dress and get ready by myself. Remember I'm a big girl." Blueblood laughed and then in a pouty face he said with laughter "Awe but Blueblood wanted to help...!" I laughed and shook my head I said "I will be right back.
Stay here and be a good boy. He diluted and stood straight like a knight would do. I laughed as I walked out of the room. I walked across the hallway to my room and opened it up to see my beautiful red room. I went to my closet and picked out a red dress that got darker as it went lower.
When it came to just above my knees it finally faded into a red so dark it was pretty much black. I smiled and grabbed black shoes. I put them on and went into my adjoined bathroom. I brushed my hair and put it up into a very intricate bun. I did my makeup which only consisted of eyeliner and a natural lipstick.
I smiled at myself and walked back to Blueblood room. I entered and looked in Blueblood was now standing in front of the window. He turned when I walked in. His face lit up and he said "You look great Lily." I smiled and said "You don't look too bad yourself."
we smiled and he grabbed my hand. We stepped outside and right on time everyone opened their doors and came out. Amber had a green dress on that came to just over her knees. She had on soft looking slippers that had a ribbon going up and around her legs. Like vine.
Caspian had on a blue shirt with black buttons. He also had on brown pants. Jax had on a very light green shirt that had dark green buttons. He was wearing brown Khaki pants. Zane came out wearing a light green dress with white flowers. She also had on white slippers. Nahla had a blue dress with black spots starting at one side and it seemed to float across her dress to her right arm.
It was Like a starry night. She has on black heels. Then there was Nico. She had on a very pretty pink dress with with flowers and green petals. She was wearing white slippers. She also had a pink now in her hair. Metin held her hand looking proud at Blueblood.
I and Blueblood nodded to each of them and then we all walked down for dinner. Me and Amber talked about our favorite meals on the way down. She had only really had wild food so I told her about all the foods that our chef could make.
She walked wide eyed while I told her about some of the foods. When we got to the doors I could smell the wonderful smell of Pasta. The chef I could tell had made his famous white pasta. Called Fettuccini. It was wonderful. We walked through the dinner doors that two guards had Opened. All heads turned to us as we filed in.
My father stood and we all went to our chairs but didn't sit down yet. My father said "My dear daughter Lily has brought home 6 new Dragon riders. Caspian, Amber, Nahla, Jax, Zane, and last but not least little Nico."
When he said the names each one would raise their hand and smile. The boys each dipped their head. Each one of the lords or ladies clapped for the kids. And for me and Blueblood, we stood holding each other's hand. When we all quieted down we sat. After a second the Maids brought out the platters of food.
When each platter was set down the Maids all at once opened them. We all looked down to our own plates of Fettuccine. I looked over to Amber, Caspian, Jax, Nahla, Zane, and lily, they we're looking at me for help. I smiled and without it hesitation told them what it was and how to eat it. I felt no embarrassment. They were kids who had never actually grown up in a home where they even had bread. No.
They came from a nest of dragons where they hunted for food cooked over a fire. I knew that they would have me trouble. All the while I had thought them how to each my father had watched me. I looked back up to him when I was done and he smiled to me and mouthed good job. I nodded and smiled and ate my food. It was delicious. When we were done the maids brought out more platters. I smiled.
The chef was showing off. He made dessert too. When the Maids set down the platter and opened them I was met with a beautiful sight. Chocolate cake with Carmel drizzled over the top with flakes of chocolate sprinkled over. I didn't have to teach them how to eat it.
They had already dug in with their dessert forks. I smiled and looked at Blueblood. He looked at me and smiled. He said "This is delicious. I love Chocolate Carmel cake too. My chef used to make it. I said "You know when we leave to go find more dragons we should visit your kingdom.
It would be fun. Plus you could see your family. Minus your brother." Blublood nodded thoughtfully and took a big bite of cake. I laughed and ate the rest of the cake I was brought. I stood and making sure everyone but the kids were done, since they were still eating the cake, and said "Knights, I will be needing a report of how training has gone, tomorrow me and Blueblood will be joining you, there will also be a meeting tomorrow at noon after lunch so please do not be late.
I will from now on be needing two guards at both ends of my hallway since we have 6 new Dragon riders. That might draw unwanted attention. Please be on guard around 6 o' clock. Thank you." I sat back down and everyone who was down got up and left. The maids came and took the empty plates. I stopped my maid and she curtsied.
She had a worried look on her face I said in a very light tone. "Can you please inform the chef that I told him that dinner was very good and he over did himself tonight?" I smiled at the maid and she said "Very well Princess I will do that as soon as possible." I thanked her and she walked away with my plate. I looked at the kids and they were finishing up.
I looked back at Father and he laughed he said "Spoken just Like a queen Lily. Just like your mother." we both smiled. We all got up afterwards when the kids finished their dessert. We went to our rooms to find the Guards already there.
We were walking by and Nico stopped in front of the guard. She hugged on his pant leg and said in a completely innocent voice. "Do you have to stand like that all night?"
the guard smiled at me and bent down to lilies level and said " No ma'am I have to stand like this till my buddie comes and takes my place around midnight." Nico nodded and said "Your so brave to protect us." the guard smiled real big and said "Oh no I'm not as brave as you are.
You have to ride dragons and fly super high. I could never be as brave as you are." Nico smiled big and hugged the guard I smiled and Nico walked back up and held Mains hand as he walked her to her room.
I asked the guard "What is your name?" the guard bowed his head and said "My name is Matthews ma'am." I said I would like you to personally guard Nico. She is small and not yet as experienced. She will need someone to help her and teach her to do certain things.
You pay will be raised higher and I will personally inform my father. " the guard nodded and bowed deeply before standing at attention and whispering "Thank you." I smiled and walked to my room. Blueblood came back out and said I got Nico dressed but she needs a little help."
I nodded and walked in, Nico was sitting on her bed wearing a cute little green nightgown. I smiled and said come on let's get ready for bed.
I led her to the bathroom and instructed her on how to brush her teeth and on how to use the "White scary monster." aka the toilet. I told her that every day after dinner from now on she needs to take a shower.
I told her how to use it and everything. Then I told her that she will be, during the day, spending her time with the brave guard. He will teach her how to do things.
We finally set her on bed. She rubbed her eyes and I said in my head "Orchid, time for bed come to Nico's room." after a second I opened the window and a small but slightly larger Dragon flew in.
I noticed that Orchid was getting bigger. As big as a 4 year old Dragon gets. Orchid and Nico curled up and in a second they were both sleeping peacefully.
I smiled and softly closed the door as I walked out. I went to my bedroom and smiled when I saw that Aradace was sleeping with her head inside resting on a blanket.
The workers had taken a portion of the wall away so I could just walk out. I sat down next to Aradace's neck and leaned back on her sturdy scales.
I wonder if Aradace will have baby fire dragons. Maybe she will have different Dragon babies. I fell asleep thinking about little flying dragons. +
I woke up early, I had gone to bed last night late. I was up with Briggen as he worried over Aradace. I knew she was fine and after I finally convinced Briggen I got up and had gone to Lily room.
I had walked in to see Lily sleeping beside Aradace's head. I smiled and lifted Lily into my arms. For a moment I held her as she snuggled into my arms. I sighed and kissed her forehead and laid her down on the bed.
I covered her up and left The room since she would probably hate me if I had changed her into her night clothes. I had fallen asleep rather quickly thinking about Lily.
I smiled at the memories of last night and got up out of bed. Changing into some training clothes. Which to me was a tight shirt with some loose fitting pants. I grabbed some shoes and went to go to Lily's room. Before I even got up Lily came into my room basically bouncing.
She looked at me and said "Great we can go now!" I laughed and mumbled to myself "Where does she get that energy." I followed her through the castle to the kitchen. Me and Lily had some biscuits and some drink. After our quick breakfast we hurried to the training area.
When we got outside no one was there yet. Lily laughed and said "They'll be down in a little. We are early." I nodded and said "Great You can show me how terrible you are at sword fighting!" Lily laughed and said "I was just about to say that!" we laughed and both got swords.
They were practice swords of course and I'm betting my life that Metin put enchantments on them so that no one could get hurt. We stood in the center of the arena and shook hands.
I laughed and Lily smirked. Above Briggen was watching and he said to both of us. "Okay guys I want a clean fight. No tickling." I looked up "Awe Briggen you totally ruined the fun!"
we all laughed and then we turned to face each other slowly getting serious. After a minute Briggen said "Go." Me and Lily didn't spring at each other we slowly started to go in a circle around each other.
I smiled slightly and noticed Lily foot twitch toward I got read but what happened next was not what I was expecting. Lily sprang to the left and swing her sword to the right.
It his me squarely. I recovered and faced Lily. I blocked the blow I knew was coming. She threw blow after blow. She swing to my right and when I went to defend she swung it to the left.
I blocked swiftly and squared my feet. I started to push her back she blocked every blow. Though I started to hit harder. She then tripped me and I fell.
I didn't have enough time to get up so I blocked from the ground. I blocked left, right, right, left, overhead, right, left. It went on until I was pushed back against the arena walls. I was still desperately blocking.
After a moment I tripped her and bolted up. She was up just as fast and I blocked some more of her blows. I felt sweat riding down my forehead. I switched left hand and started to attack just as hard. Hesitation flashed across her features before she switched left to.
I was surprised. She was good. We kept going on before after a while she put on a new burst of energy. She hit hard. I blocked and she got faster. She kept throwing blows faster and faster. I could keep up and she finally hit a blow on the left shoulder. I switched sword hands and she did too.
I put my arm behind my back because I couldn't use it anymore. We dodged each other and she just as fast as before tripped me. I yelped and went down. I raised me sword to bock her but she hit the sword and with a loud ring it was shot away. I was defenseless. I looked up at her before she pointed her sword at my throat.
I swallowed and held up my hand slowly surrendering. She laughed and held up her sword triumphantly. I smiled and she helped me up. I noticed that all the Guards and new trainees were here now.
They had watched as we had fought. She walked over and high fives some of the Guards. She clapped some on the shoulder and some just told her she did great. I came over and the Guards greeted me.
Lily said "And that gentle men is why you do not underestimate you opponent." they all nodded. We continued and showed all the new trainees how to fight and defend themselves against different things.
We showed them how to defend against archers and other projectiles. After we were done it was a little after lunch Lily said "Okay, training is over. You may all go have lunch now."
I looked at her and she said "We have so many guards here that we have different raining times. The guards that train in the mornings are replaced by guards who train in the afternoon.
When the Guards that train in the afternoon come then the Guards that train in the morning take over then. I nodded. We put the swords and other stuff away and then we left. We headed to the dining room where her father was already.
He looked at us and smiled He said "I see you've been training the new trainees huh?" we both nodded and Haven said "Me and Blueblood also had a mock fight. It was a lot of fun."
The king looked at me and say d"You didn't win I bet, huh?" I shook my head and said "No sir I did not win." the king looked back at Lily and he said to me "You probably won't ever win, but if you do, tell me how to win."
we all laughed and I nodded "You have my word." Lily laughed and said "Too bad you'll never win." I looked at her and said "I'll win one way or another." she blushed and right on que the Maids came carrying platters.
Just as the kids came down and took a seat. Lily and I turned out attention to them immediately. Lily asked "How did you all sleep last night?" Caspian said "I slept wonderfully thank you." Nico came over and sat on my lap.
She looked up at me and said "I slept okay. I was with Orchid. We both slept fine." I mentally screamed at how cute she was. I looked at Lily and said "That's great sweetheart I'm glad you slept okay." she smiled and leaned back against me.
The maids opened the platter and there was sugar rolls and Chicken that was cut up and put on a thin stick. I smiled and whispered to Nico, this will be a great meal. Go sit down and I'd advise eating the sugar roll first.
She laughed and went and said down. We had made a chair to fit her size. She picked up the till and looked towards me. I winked at her and she giggled taking a bite.
She smiled big and said to Amber "Eat the roll, it's so good!" everyone at the table smiled and laughed at Nico. I smiled and dug into my food. Savoring how good it was.

Blueblood and Lily have become Queen and King of the dragons. father has stepped down so they may rule together. They are always finding a new species of dragons and have been content with their two kids.
Their children are in for a huge adventure when something dreadful happens at the castle. Will the two children be able to stop whatever is coming at them or will the age of dragons end as soon as it has begun?
Lily P.O.V
When we had all finished eating I stood and waited for attention. When I had it I said "Guards, Training in two hours. Morning trainees will be taking over position in around and hour in a half.
Be ready. She turned to the rest. There is a meeting in 30 minutes please be ready, we will be discussing matters with dragons." they all nodded. I looked at father, we had talked about Matthew during lunch a little.
He had agreed and even suggested a guard for all of them. I nodded and listed names. I had a few female guards so I suggested them for Zane, Nahla, and Amber.
My father agreed and Rang the bell. All the guard were in here after a minute. Father and I stood a dressing the 6 we had picked.
I said "Matthew, Blake, Luke, Sara, Rose, and Persephone. The guards that I had called stepped forward and got on one knee bowing their heads. Blake was tall with black hair and green eyes.
Luke had short brown hair with blue eyes. He also had lot of freckles. Sara had long curly brown hair with blue eyes.
And some freckles on her nose. Rose was a strawberry blonde with bright green eyes. She was young but had experience. Persephone had midnight black hair with dark brown eyes.
Her eyes almost blended in with the color of her pupil. She was actually a lot paler than you would think.
I told them to ride and said "I promise your not in trouble so please breathe before you pass out. Everyone except for Matthew let out a big breathe. I smiled and said "
I have assigned you all for something important." they all nodded and I looked at the other guards. Some had jealousy in their eyes. I quickly dismissed them all and turned back to the six guards.
I said "Matthew, you probably already know your job so you may take Nico out and maybe show her around the gardens and the stables? Show her my horse." I smiled as Nico excitedly ran towards Matthew. He walked behind her as he directed her through the doors.
I looked back at the other guards I said "Now, I want you all to know that your status has now... Risen, you will be guarding the Dragon riders because them being Dragon riders immediately puts them in harm's way. We cannot forget why we have to go looking for dragons in the first place."
they all nodded and I said "Blake you will be guarding Jax. Jax had been mute for his whole life up until now. Be kind and patient." Blake nodded and said "Come on Jax, I Show you where we train."
Jax nodded looking excited. I continued "Luke, you will be guarding Caspian, he may be older than most of them but he has lived in a cave for his whole life. You can leave his side 2 hours before dinner.
Luke nodded and motioned for Caspian to follow him. I looked back at the three female guards I said "Rose you will be guarding Zane, show her around and show her how to use some of the things we have here."
Rose nodded and her and Zane walked off through the door to our right. I looked back and said "Sara, you will guard Nahla, take her around the castle, also, show her the huge lake we have."
Nahla looked up excited and the two basically ran out of the room together "I muttered to Lily, Those two will be great friends. I tried picking young guards." Blueblood nodded and I looked at Persephone "Persephone you will be guarding Amber." I turned and whispered to Amber "you better not kill the guard."
She winked at me and was already talking to Persephone before they got out the room. I looked towards father who said "Now that is cleared up, when will you be leaving for the mountains?" I shrugged and said "I planned on leaving tomorrow morning."
my father looked slightly sad and I said "Maybe we will find a Dragon for you?" my father's eyes lit up and Metin suddenly appeared next to us. I don't move or flinch but Nico jumped and yelped a little. I looked at him and he regained his posture and said "Sorry." I laughed and turned to Metin I said "You got the letter?
Is there a way I can do it?" she nodded and handed me some parchment. She said "The directions are on here." She gave me the things and disappeared again. I read the parchment along with Blueblood.
I've been studying Dragon riders, they intrigue me. I've learned that a Dragon rider is born to a Dragon baby. When a rider doesn't know where the Dragon is but wants to find it, there is only 1 thing you can do.
The way to find the Dragon is to look at the connection and figure out what Dragon the person is attached to. It usually has to do with which Dragon species the feel a connection with. Sometimes people feel a certain pull to a certain Dragon species.
When you figure out which species it is then you have to go and look for that species. For example if say someone is attached to a water Dragon the would go to the ocean and say the words "Dragon of the sea before me, come meet your fate at the hands of your mate."
the Dragon your attached to would feel a sensation in their head and they will eventually follow a mental connection right to you.
Water Dragon - "Dragon of the sea before me, come meet your fate at the hands of your mate."
Fire Dragon - "Dragon of the Fire so dire, come meet your fate at the hands of your mate."
Forest Dragon - "Dragon of the trees before me, come meet your fate at the hands of your mate."
Mountain Dragon - "Dragon of rock so distraught come meet your fate at the hands of your mate.
Ice Dragon - Dragon of ice so nice come meet your fate at the hands of your mate.
I looked at Blueblood, that was so weird. The rhymes created special connection with that person so the Dragon could find their rider. I looked at my father. I said "What Dragon species are you pulled to, my father immediately said "Ice."
I nodded and said "Repeat after me, Dragon of ice so nice come meet your fate at the hands of your mate." my father said "Dragon of ice so nice come meet your fate at the hands of your mate."
after a second my head was filled with images I smiled and grabbed Blueblood hand, we walked towards the door.
I looked back as I got to the door and said "I can do it. Don't worry." +
We got up early the next morning. It was just beginning to become light outside. I stretched and got dressed. I looked at the backpack that had magically appeared. I smiled and silently thanked Metin.
I left the room and entered into Blueblood room. He was just about to open the door so when I opened it I stood face to face with Blueblood.
I smiled and said "Great we can go now. You ready for breakfast?" he nodded so hand in hand We walked down to breakfast.
We were pretty much the only ones so we were served by the chef. He came and sat with us and I told him about the journey we were about to embark on. After we were done I got up and the chef took our plates and we departed. Once we were outside I called to Aradace.
I smiled when she came flying. She landed and not long afterwards Briggen landed too. He nuzzled Aradace's neck and we climbed on. We flew back towards the direction of the underground cave maze.
I smiled as I remembered how we had found it. I fell into a huge part of the cavern. After a while of thinking about our first journey I started to dose. I started out with dreaming about nothing but soon I started to dream.
At first I couldn't see but then the world sorta fell on me and I was suddenly engulfed in white. All I could see for miles and miles was white.
I noticed after I took a step that it was snow. It crunched under my feet. I started to walk and after a while of noting I tried to call to Aradace.
It didn't work so I started to yell. I don't think I attracted anything good because when I stopped to listen I heard something. It was the fast crunching of snow.
It was getting louder by the second. Whatever it is it is big, and fast. I turned around and saw a half white half grey mountain.
I ran toward it and his in one of the cracks. I looked out and saw a white Dragon that was being ridden. Except it want a rider who looked to be at ease with the Dragon.
This person was struggling to control it. This was a person that had forcefully controlled the Dragon. I cringed at the long dark red slashed on its legs, side, belly and neck.
It sniffed for me and looked in my direction Before it could run towards me I opened the link and said "Don't come near! I am your queen and I am hear to save you.
Tell me what has happened. The Dragon relaxed and looked around. Then he looked back. It said "In sorry my queen. I have been forcefully taken from my cave.
It was terrible they killed a lot of us and they also took some of us young dragons and tried to control us. Please save us." all the while he had said that he had been fake looking around for me. All the while the person was yelling at it.
I felt sorry and Then I told the Dragon "Find me, I'll be captured and taken with you and I'll be able to help you." the Dragon pretended the at he suddenly got scent of me. He was walking forward as the man on him was cooing and encouraging him. It disgusted me.
The dragon found my crevice and the Dragon poked his head in and looked at me with sorrowful eyes. I smile touched his muzzle and kissed his nose.
Then I turned around and the Dragon gently grabbed hold of my shirt and pulled me out as carefully as he could. Then I woke up.
I looked around and saw we were in a clearing. I was curled up next to Aradace and Blueblood was setting up camp. I got up and started to help.
Blueblood said "Hey, you were a sleep for a long time, we flew for a full day. Briggen went out to hunt." I was a little shocked but not a lot. I sighed and said "Yeah but it was an interesting dream."
Blueblood nodded but didn't press. We set up a fire and got it real big by the time Briggen came back. He came back with some birds in his claws. We all ate and watched as Briggen fed Aradace and nuzzled her stomach where the egg was growing fast.
She was double the size of a normal Dragon is though. I had seen a few pregnant dragons and none were near as big as Aradace. I wonder why. I was brought out of my thoughts when Blueblood said "We should get some sleep we leave early.
It had gotten dark so I rolled over and Aradace pulled her wing around me and held me close. I smiled and fell asleep. I didn't dream that night.
A voice woke me. It wasn't yet light out so I stood and stretched. I looked around. Briggen and Aradace had snuggled together and Blueblood was standing towards my left. I took a step towards him and he looked at me. He said.
"I had a dream, we were in a tundra and there was snow everywhere. I was with Briggen and Aradace but you weren't there. Aradace was saying that someone had shot at us and you fell. We were near a mountain but We couldn't find you.
I panicked and woke up." I didn't say anything. I stopped and looked at the sky. "Remember the dream I said was interesting? Well I had a dream that I was in the middle of a tundra.
Nothing in sight. I started walking towards the sun. I eventually found some mountains and that's where I saw it. It was a white Dragon. It had a heart shaped face with light grey horns. It had a long narrow snout.
And a white underbelly. When it was out in the open I noticed it had fairly large wings that were light grey and white. I felt like this wasn't a coincidence I felt like this was fate telling us what might happen. +
We flew for about 3 more days after talking about our dreams. I spent those three days talking to Aradace thinking of baby names I think we have decided that we will name the baby after its looks and personality.
Because we don't know how it will turn out. After a while I looked over at Blueblood. I smiled. He looked very excited. I asked Briggen. " Blueblood looks excited are we almost there?"
Briggen looked at me for a minute and then said "Yes Lily we are almost there. Right over this mountain." I nodded and looked towards the mountain that we had started to fly over. We got higher and higher. We finally reached the top and saw a beautiful castle. I think my jaw dropped. We flew slowly towards the castle. We finally landed at the gates.
The guards there took a step back and shook in fear. Blueblood said in a stern voice. I would have expected you all to raise your weapons and take a step forward not backwards.
My legion does not have time for cowards." their eyes widened and the dropped to the ground in their knees.
They all said "sorry Blueblood." Blueblood said "You're forgiven. But this shall never happen again." they all nodded and stepped back out of the way.
Aradace and Briggen walked through the village. People lined up like my village had done. We smiled as we reached the castle entrance.
We both hopped off our dragons and Blueblood rang a bell with a speaker type thing beside it.
Blueblood after holding the button down said "Ma, father? Come down please I have some surprises that I want to show you." Blueblood barely finished his sentence before a woman rushed out of the doors.
She squeezed Blueblood so tight I thought she would an app him in two. He managed to whisper out. "Can't... Breathe...!"
his mother I guess stepped away and smiled she said " Blueblood I'm so glad your...ho-" she stopped talking as Briggen nuzzled Blueblood neck. Aradace let out a chuckle and his mom looked towards me.
She took a step back towards the door. I took a large step towards her and said "Hello, they won't hurt you I promise. These are our dragons. The grey one is called Briggen and this is Aradace. She smiled and nodded.
I gently took her hand and guided her next to Aradace I said to Aradace "Lay down."
Aradace happily sunk to the floor and I kissed her head and stroked her nose. I gently placed the queens hand on Aradace's nose.
She held it there and Aradace blew hot air out of her nose. She smiled and then stepped back again she looked at me still smiling and said "And who might you be darling?"
I smiled and said "I am Lily, Blueblood brought me here to meet you?" she turned to Blueblood "Is this the girl you talked about?"
Blueblood nodded and said "She is my soul mate..." I smiled and grabbed his hand. He kissed my cheek and we looked back at his mother." she looked very excited. And as if on cue Blueblood father came out of the doors.
He looked at me and Blueblood and then to his wife and then he looked at the two dragons. He opened his mouth to say something but closed it.
He looked to Blueblood expectantly and waited patiently to explain. Blueblood said "Okay, Father this is Lily and Lily this is my Father. My father bowed to me and then I curtsied and he took my hand and kissed the back of it.
He said "Call me Jack." the queen stepped forward and said "Call me Ella."
I nodded towards each of them and the nodded back. Ella said "I would invite you in but..." she motioned to the dragons. Blueblood was one step ahead of Ella he already had the glass like orbs.
He gave one to Briggen and we watched as he shrunk. It was funny to watch. I looked to Aradace and she said, "I'll go explore around the castle. I won't go outside the perimeter."
I nodded and she took of. Ella stepped forward and watched as Aradace started to circle the perimeter of the castle.
Ella asked "Why doesn't she shrunk too?" I smiled wide and said "Because she's pregnant." they all looked stunned. I smiled and Jack said "Well, dinner is waiting why don't we all go talk over a nice meal.
We all went in and we sat down. I was to the left of Blueblood who was on the right of his father.
As we sat down the maids brought out platters of food. They opened them and I was presented with Steak with a side of Asparagus and corn. I smiled and we started eating.
Every now and then Blueblood would give Briggen bites to eat. Before long Blueblood just asked for a plate of steak for Briggen. I almost laughed at how happy he looked.
Once everyone was finished eating Jack dismissed everyone and we all left for the library.
It was big. I smiled as we entered. We sat down and Ella and Jack looked at us expectantly. So I started from the beginning. 2 "First it started with the marking I was born with. It was a pair of dragon wings on my back.
It also had a crown on top. I grew up with my mom always telling me I would be a dragon queen and that I would have a dragon army.
When I turned 16 my mother sat up a party in the castle. Villagers would come and bring me gifts and then we would eat and go home.
I was confronted by a man who was very sinister looking we all were a bit tense when he came up to my eat and spoke the words Two queens will rise and the new age will start, a species that has been dead for years never died completely.
Two will rise and change everything. I passed out after he said that but not before seeing him explode into ashes. I though it was truly terrible.
I then woke up to find a new mark. It now has a marking under the wings a symbol. No one knows what it means because it was written in a dragon language.
My parents came in a then told me about a species that they had tried to save. It was dragon's. After that I couldn't get dragon's out of my mind.
One night I had a dream that I was in a forest under a giant flaming tree in a clearing around that was a dragon.
A red and black dragon. I woke up and went to see the sorceress and she told me that she knew where that was. I followed her instructions and I eventually found my dragon. We spent a week together before I decided to go back home.
When we got home I was told the news about my mother the Queen. I cried so much. After that I vowed I would find all the dragon's. I studied with my sorceress until we found our information.
I then learned that my father had a fellow who had traveled far to see me. So I met with him and we started off well. We went to my sorceress and when we stepped through the door magic happened before our eyes.
My sorceress told us we were soul mates. We studied some more before I decided to leave for a store in the mountain of mazes. I found it and it led to the coast.
We found two species of dragon there. Forest and water dragon's. I loved it. We met other riders too.
We eventually after maybe a month we all flew home and we set up rooms and guards or personal combat assistants and then we left the next morning.
We were on our way North so we decided to stop by the mountains to see Blueblood home. And now we are here." I finished my story and everyone even Blueblood was looking at me I smiled slightly and I said
We stayed at my castle for 4 days. The evening of the 5th day we agreed to leave. It was currently 8 in the morning.
Briggen was out with Aradace and we all had finished breakfast and Lily asked "Blueblood, We need a map. A map of the land and we need the fastest routes."
I nodded and we headed to the library once we were there we went through another door and once we were in that room I closed the door and looked at Lily.
I said "This is a family secret. Only my father and mother know about it. My father and I built it for safety reasons when Mabuz left..." I finished explaining and I moved a book and opened it.
I removed the key hiding taped to page 1002. The 10 stands for October and the 02 stands for when I got my first horse. I moved another book and stuck the key in the key home and turned it till I heard a click.
I moved back and removed the key from the hole Nd taped it back in place on page 1002. I slid the book case out and open. I then took a key from under a chair and unlocked the secret door behind the bookcase. I finally opened the door.
As we entered I took a deep breath it smelled like pine trees and new books. I walked over to a table in the small room that had a little close a compass and a few maps tied with old looking rope.
I untied that rope and we both studied the map. Me and Lily talked a while before we Boyce decided on a route. We would go through the forest of water and then we would follow the river and go past the lake of frost.
After the lake of frost it would take 5,000 miles till we got to the Ice tundra. We finished with the plans and walked towards the castle entrance. Along the way we greeted other knights and royals. We stepped out the door and I whistled.
After a second there was a shadow above us. I smiled as I watched Aradace fly down and land in front of us. We waited a moment longer and watched as Briggen landed.
Me and Lily mounted both of our dragon's and we took off silently. Both too cought up with the plans and finding the Ice dragon's.
Unknown P.O.V
I watched as they flew away. I would follow then and finally claim what is rightfully mine. The tall dark man told me she was the one that was made for me.
She was my ticket for greatness. I smiled as I watched her fly away on her stunning dragon. I couldn't wait to control The dragon's.
I would finally be able to take over everything. I looked at the man next to her. I snarled in disgust, what a parasite! Ruining everything.
I smiled wickedly he wouldn't remain with her for long. When they arrive at the frost lake I will finally be able to get Lily alone. Away from her dragon too.
I would finally get rid of Blueblood, his dragon and her dragon. I would make it seem that Blueblood turned on her.
She will think of me as a hero. I smiled once more as I looked towards my beautiful bride.
She will be mine whether Blueblood like a it or not. 11

We flew for a while. I kept going over the mental map in my head. We would avoid mud valley and go West into the forest of water.
We would follow a river and pass the frost lake. Then we would make it to the frozen tundra.
We would then seek out the mountains of ice. Next to that would be a lake. A lake that has completely frozen.
We would go there and maybe we would find out how or what has been happening to my beloved dragon's.
I hope we wouldn't be too late. We flew till night and when we landed Aradace sank to the ground gratefully as Briggen flew off in search of food for his mate.
Blueblood and I got some good out of the backpacks that Metin has supplied for us when we first left.
I smiled back in how we had stumbled into the mountain of mazes."You are beautiful when you smile."
I looked up at Blueblood and blushed he said "You look even more beautiful when your blushing."
I smiled and laughed I said "Stop it! I can't help blushing when you say that." he shifted and picked me up so I was sitting in his lap.
He whispered "I love it when you blush. Did you know you have the cutest dimples?" I felt my face head up and laughed a little about how easily he made me blush.
He whispered softer so not even Aradace could hear, "You want to know how much I care about you?"
before I answered I though over what we had been through even if it had only been a few months. Maybe 5? We have been searching for dragon's meeting knew people.
Getting kidnapped also falling down holes. I hope nothing ever changed between us. Even over the course of, 5 months,, I have never been closer to a Prince before.
Never have I felt so much peace around someone who wasn't my family. I smiled as I heard Blueblood whisper something. I didn't answer I knew he knew the answer to what he said.
I leaned back as Blueblood whispered sweet thibreaths breathe tickled my neck and made me shiver.
I smiled as Blueblood kissed my cheek. Briggen returned soon after and both Briggen and Aradace got up and walked away together.
Wings brushing wings. I smiled as Blueblood brought me around and kissed me.
I woke up before dawn. I don't really know what woke me but I was wide awake somehow.
I got up and shivered it was cold. I made my way to my backpack and found my clothes I took a few necessities and made my way to a creek we had made camp by.
I blushed as I remembered what Blueblood said last night. We both had agreed that a family would be wonderful. I just wished mother would have loved to see her first grandchild.
I smiled sadly and got into The creek. It was very cold and I shivered even more. I washed and cleaned my hair.
When I finally got out the sun was rising above the horizon. I smiled and got out while humming a random tune.
I got dressed and walked towards camp. When I got there Blueblood was awake talking with Briggen while Aradace slept.
When I walked into the clearing Blueblood smiled and blew a kiss. I smiled and shook my head.
I walked over to Aradace and she lifted her head. I walked towards her ever growing stomach and leaned against it.
She exhaled and I sighed I was perfectly content with standing here leaning against her round fiery stomach. It heated me up and I wasn't cold anymore.
Aradace said "how are you this morning? Sore any?" She chuckled as I playfully slapped her neck. I sighed and I said "How is the egg. Giving you any trouble?
Metin have me a kind of pain reducing vile. She said it would help with any pain."
Aradace leaned down and said "Nothing makes me happier than being with you and having my baby inside my body safe and sound. I could care less if it hurts.
All I know is that my child will be a strong one." I leaned my ear against stand that stomach and listened to her huge heartbeat.
I was very content until I heard two more beats. They were two separate heartbeats.
They were very faint but they were their. I looked back up at Aradace and she looked down at me I said +
We travelled for 3 weeks. The forest was so much bigger than we thought. We couldn't fly over the forest because there was some sort of fog.
We watched as a bird had flown up to it. A few minutes later the same bird fell from the sky dead. We decided to go through the forest.
We flew through the forest till nightfall. We landed in a little clearing and while Briggen went to hunt Aradace helped me light a small fire.
Blueblood kept watch. Every since I got kidnapped Blueblood really hasn't left my side. I wasn't complaining though. I felt a sudden excitement and I knew I must have been feeling Briggen's excitement for making the kill.
I smiled and waited a few minutes and we all watched as Briggen proudly flew back with a two huge deer. One was in his claws and another was in his mouth.
We cheered for Briggen and Aradace congratulated Briggen in the ways she knew would make him even more happy. Briggen and Aradace ate together with their tails entwined and their heads close together.
Me and Blueblood cooked a part of the deer and then packed up the rest of the deer for later. We ate in silence and when we were done Blueblood grabbed me and gently placed me on his lap.
I rested my head on his shoulder and for a long time we talked about dragons and our plan.
Then Blueblood asked "What about a family?" I blushed and said "I would love a family."
Blueblood smiled and I said "I want a little baby boy." Blueblood laughed and said "Well I want a little angel girl." I laughed and said "Okay, but I still want a boy." Blueblood said "If we have a girl first then we'll try for a boy.
And it'll work the other way around, deal? I laughed and held up my pinky finger.
He chuckled softly and wrapped his bigger pinky finger around my smaller one. I smiled and fell asleep dreaming about our family.
I woke early the next morning. It was dawn and I watched as the sky turned a soft coral color to a beautiful baby blue.
I was still wrapped in Blueblood arms and I slowly pried myself away. I poked the fire a little and tried to get it going again.
Once I got a small flame I sat down and watched. I watched little creatures wake up and scuttle around. I watched how Blueblood slept.
I even watched Briggen and Aradace sleep together. Briggen was pressed against Aradace and had a wing over her.
I smiled softly. I was perfectly content. I closed my eyes for a moment and when I opened my eyes I stood up very fast.
Startled I turned around two or three times because, suddenly I wasn't in the clearing with my dragon or Blueblood. I was again in the middle of a snowy tundra. I looked around. Nothing.
I ran for a long time in one direction. I reached a huge completely white lake. I looked down into what I though would be water but I found that it was a huge layer of Ice.
I was freezing. I needed warmth. I needed Aradace. I looked around again. I saw a form moving. At first I though it was Briggen but when it got closer I saw it was definitely not Briggen.
I turned and ran. The thing was faster. I turned in time so see the Dragons claws wrap around me.... I opened my eyes with a start.
I screamed at the top of my lungs because I though the dragon still had me because their were claws around me. Then I heard a voice.
It was Blueblood he said "Lily! Lily, calm down, it's okay, Lily it's just Aradace!" I stopped screaming. I looked around and saw that Aradace was holding me still and that I was now very close to a huge fire.
I stopped struggling and let Aradace sit up and pull me close to her. I was pressed against her beating heart.
Her gigantic magnificent wings closed over me and I was engulfed in red and black. Her head came through a gap. She said in a hushed voice. "Lily, why were you screaming?
You were about to run full tilt into the fire. I was scared for you." I frowned and told Aradace my vision. I also reminded her of my first snowy tundra vision when I met that dragon.
Me and Aradace talked for a while. It was more of her trying to tell me that she will protect me. I smiled and when I finally said "I know you'll protect me.
In just scared I'll lose you. Iv'e been alone in both visions what if I do lose you... I trust you I promise, it's just hard to know I might lose you on this journey." Aradace nodded and said "I know but if I do lose you, I'll hunt down every man, every dragon till I find you.
I will burn down and melt that whole tundra till I find you. I need you. We won't be apart for too long." I nodded and she unfurled her wings.
We were met with a worried dragon and a worried Blueblood. Blueblood wrapped his arms around me while I heard Briggen's worried voice telling me he promises no harm will come to me. I smiled at both of them and just nodded and agreed.
Me and Aradace knew that maybe on one part of this journey we might get separated. I got on Aradace and Blueblood hopped on Briggen. We took off low and flew through the very tall trees.
For 2 weeks we flew through the trees. We would find dry clearings every once in a while and we would set up camp there.
Most of the forest was made up of swamp with trees growing out of the water. We had fun too. We would play games and sometimes we would have competitions.
Who could fly in the weirdest position. Or who could fly standing up the longest. We did anything we could to make sure we weren't bored.
At the start of the 3rd week of flying through the forest we finally made it to the edge of the woods. We saw the river a few meters from where We flew out.
We made our way over and since it was just about 4 hours after dawn we continued on our way to the frost lake. By the afternoon it was slowly starting to get colder.
I looked around. We were flying close to the ground following the wide river. I could see flurries in the air and I knew we had to find shelter quickly before the blizzard hit.
I looked ahead. I saw a huge patch of white. I got excited and I turned to Blueblood, "Hey, I think I see the frost lake!" he turned to look and nodded his head he said back "Yeah! Maybe we can find a little bit of shelter.
I feel a blizzard is forming." I nodded back to him and I told Aradace to go faster and fly fast towards the lake.
When we finally got to the lake I looked around as Briggen and Aradace hovered. It was stunning. There were white trees and there was the lake. The lake was covered with a thick sheen of ice.
The ice was so polished it looked like glass. I smiled as Aradace touched down. I got off of her and looked around.
The grass crunched because of the frost. We walked forward and I spotted a place where we could sleep. It was a little cave under a huge white tree. I walked towards it with Aradace by my side.
We got to the cave and Aradace curled up and Briggen laid down next to her shielding her from the cold wind. Me and Blueblood laid down near the two dragons. We watched as the blizzard formed.
When it started to get dark we took our the deer and me and Blueblood took part of the leg to eat and When we stored the other leg we gave the rest of the deer to the dragons so they didn't get too hungry till the blizzard ended.
Who knew how long it would take. Me and Blueblood slept next to the dragons for heat and me and Blueblood fell asleep only a few minutes after settling down. I didn't dream at all.
I woke up late. The blizzard had stopped and everything was buried including us. I sat up and when I did Blueblood woke. He sat up blearily and rubbed his eyes.
We looked towards the opening. Well where the opening should have been. We stood up and walked over. I woke Aradace and she woke up Briggen. Together Briggen and Aradace blew fire that melted a tunnel through the snow. On top of that snow there had been a layer of thick Ice. It was harder to melt then the snow.
But the frost melted almost instantly. When we got out it was still a little windy but not as bad. We let Briggen and Aradace stretch out their wings and then we got on them and flew.
I said to Aradace "I wonder what we will find when we reach the tundra. Do you think their will be people or tribes there?" Aradace said "Yes, I think there will be because of your vision. I don't think that they will be perfectly happy to see us like the water dragons and the forest dragons.
Maybe the ice dragons hearts have been frozen too."
I though about this for a while. "Well, maybe I can convince them that there is still good." Aradace said "Well, be careful, the hardest part about being Queen is that not everyone holds you dear to their hearts." +
We flew on for a while after we left the frost lake. We flew over mostly white trees and frost covered grass. Once we came to a spring that ran constantly so it never froze over, We took ice cold drinks of water.
It tasted sweet like strawberries. It was freezing cold though. Once we had all gotten our drinks we got back on Briggen and Aradace.
I said to Briggen "What do you think is going to happen once we reach the lake? Do you think we will find the Ice dragons?"
Briggen didn't say anything for a minute but suddenly he said "Yes, I do think we will find the Ice dragons. I think we will find people too. I feel that we will need to prepare ourselves for the worst."
I thought over that. I have forgotten that not all people are thrilled to have a queen or a king.
We will just need to show them. Prove to them that not all kingdoms are bad, or totally consuming.
O smiled slightly at the picture that I suddenly got in my head. I saw Haven talking to villagers and telling them about the wonders her queen and king have brought.
Telling them about the wonders that some people brought when they cared. I was brought back to reality when I felt a deep rumble beneath me.
I noticed we had been flying for some time and we were now a few miles into a huge white, deserted, barren tundra.
I saw not a soul. But I realize that Briggen has smelt or sensed a presence that was not ours. I looked over at Aradace. She was still flying calmly.
But if you looked closer, you could see Aradace bring out her claws and snarl silently. I wondered what the dragons were seeing, or smelling. I looked at Lily. She was now standing on Aradace's neck. She was looking around.
I suddenly realized that Lily was using her bond with Arada. Lily was seeing and smelling through Aradace. I looked down at Briggen and told him briefly what was happening to the two next to us. He agreed and after a brief moment I suddenly could see way farther than I have ever seen.
I looked around and noticed movement. We were being followed. I took a deep breathe. It smelt foul, like burnt flesh. Which was ironic since we were in the middle of a vast white tundra. I heard a voice just then. It wasn't from below it was in my head. I heard Lily. She said "I need you two to fly ahead as fast as you can.
There is a mountain ridge that you'll be safe at. We will be right behind you." I nodded and Lily said "one, two... Three!"
I power I have never felt from Briggen spurred beneath me. We went so fast everything was a blur. We reached the ridge on record time and me and Briggen pressed against the ridge and camouflaged ourselves.
We looked out to where we saw red. We watched as white objects flew at them. I saw a brief moment of panic and then fire. I saw a lot of fire.
I then saw Aradace flying around in circles. I knew she was looking for something. She stopped and hovered and then she flew towards us. She got bigger and bigger until we could see Aradace fully.
We came out and after a second our bodies we're back to normal. Aradace landed and wailed the most pitiful, most sad noise I've ever heard.
I noticed that on her back there was a deep wound it was a mix of red flesh and on the edges there was white. I noticed secondly the precious cargo that was missing. I looked towards Aradace.
Briggen was cleaning her wound and after a while it started to heal. I remembered briefly what Metin had said about soulmates. I looked out into the tundra.
I sad down and listened to Aradace wail her depressed wail. After a moment I then listened to both Aradace and Briggen who wailed into the night over their lost Queen. I could feel inside my being all the dragons who were wailing into the night over their queen who was now lost.
I knew we had to find her. I wouldn't give up! I will find her. I knew who had set this trap up. There was only a few people who knew we were trying to find dragons.
Mabuz probably spied on us and found out where we were going. I yelled as loudly as I could "MABUZ" When I yelled that I heard everything still. Nothing moved at all.
The wind stopped and the creatures ceased their noise. The birds stopped screaming and dragons stopped moving.
I looked at the two dragons that were now in my care. I had a feeling that Lily knew it this tragedy. I didn't panic. I was utterly and terrifyingly calm.
I looked at Briggen. The deep sorrow and pain. I saw how his scales shifted in anger and how his scales steamed. I then looked at Aradace. She had a huge sadness and regret and anger in her eyes.
She was steaming and for a moment I was scared that her scaled body would catch on fire.
Her four long clawed feet sank into the ground and There was a huge circle around her of melted snow and ice.
She wailed one more time into the completely silent night. Even the stars seemed to pulse in sadness. We found a cave in the ridge we were on.
I was put into the back of the cave while Aradace was pressed gently against me and Briggen stood guard against the entrance to camouflage the entrance. I fell into a deep troubled sleep. Fighting off dragons to save Lily.
Lily's P.O.V
"I need you two to fly ahead as fast as you can. There is a mountain ridge that you'll be safe at.
We will be right behind you." I said that in a rush. I knew what was happening. I looked over and saw In Medieval times, dragons were considered fearsome creatures. Knights set out to slay them to impress the masses. Were all dragons evil creatures destined to be feared? People always thought so. Now, in modern times, dragons only exist in one place: Gretum. The dragons there have lived with select people for thousands of years. There are a wide variety of dragon species, most of them benevolent and kind, but there is one exception. Hiding in the dark.
Only worthy humans can tame and even ride these dragons. Every year, one person is selected and tested to see if they are worthy of becoming a dragon Rider.
One terrifying year, however, Gretum is in grave danger.Enter the world of a lonely girl named Lilly. Blueblood nod. I said "One, two... Three!" I watched as the shot off so fast I couldn't keep up with them. I turned to the white dragons.
I opened their links and said "Brothers, sisters it is your Queen, stand down please and we can talk!" we circled around and after sending their confusion and hesitation I sent out my encouragement.
One of the dragons, the leader, said "My queen I am so sorry. We are being controlled by a powerful force. We were told to attack the red dragon. We had to or the man would kill all our ice children.
In so sorry my queen forgive us please." I though over this information. I made my decision. I said to Aradace and also let the ice dragons hear the conversation. "You will need to get hurt i'm sorry there is no way out. I am going to jump once your hit and then I need you to blow fire everywhere the dragons will flee and then you need to circle around a few times and then fly towards Blueblood. You will be safe if I am not with you." Aradace made a sad wail like moan.
I watched as The people in the dragons threw white tipped spears. One of them finally hit. I moaned pitifully as I looked at the wound. I jumped off Aradace and into a huge plume of snow dust.
No one saw me. I quickly dug into the snow calling on fire to help me. I dug deep. I felt the heat as Aradace furiously blew fire. I hope all the Ice dragons made it. I told Aradace that I was safe. She needed to leave me. I but my almost frozen lip.
I made note that not one creature moved anymore. Nothing made a sound. I listened intently and then I heard the most heartbreaking noise. It was a wail of sorrow and pain for my loss. I felt it in my chest A deep connection that rattled. I felt something harden inside of me.
I felt a deep determination to find all the dragons and get rid of this evil force. I climbed out of my hole and I heard a very loud, very angry voice.
It yelled one word "Mabuz!" so that was who was behind this. I should have know that when I escaped on the back of my dragon he would look for more dragons. It looked like he had found them before me.
I listened more closely. A wail rang out into the now silent night. I felt my heart shatter as I listened to the two dragons wail. I felt all the connections I had made with the other dragons pulse. They were all grieving me. I trudged on in one direction.
I knew what I had to do. I had to keep moving. That was what the dream was about anyway. As I kept walking the sky started to break. It curled into colors so beautiful I had to stop and look.
There was blue and green and yellow green. There was a light purple. I watched in awe as the colors danced across the broken nighttime sky. I kept walking though with a new attitude. I wasn't hateful anymore I was just determined.
Determined like my mother and father. Determined like my people. And determined like all the dragons who wish to protect me. I smiled and walked. I walked until I saw the light of dawn. I was exhausted but I had to keep going.
I finally found a cave in the ground. I crawled in and called upon fire. I made myself warm and then slept.
I woke up slowly. I was a bit cold but I was okay. I looked up and saw that the sun was beginning to set. I had slept for almost the whole entire day.
I got out of my hole and walked. I didn't know where I was or where Aradace was, I just needed to keep walking. As I walked I looked around. I was scouting for any mountains or any dragons. I looked into the sky and then to the horizon.
I was kinda scared. That didn't matter all that mattered was finding that mountain that was in my dream. I set off, I realized that everything was so much better with my Dragon.
I was sad, I had no one to talk to... I stopped suddenly. I could slap myself. I could talk to Aradace. It wouldn't do much because everything looked the same. The wind was blowing so hard that my footsteps didn't even have time to form before they were blown away. I opened my mind and called out "Aradace? Aradace can you hear me?" I got no reply.
"Hello?! Aradace!" nothing. I was utterly alone in this wasteland. I trekked along. I've lost all of my enthusiasm.

I trudged for 3 days. I was getting desperate. I used snow to make water but I didn't have food. I needed food. I kept trudging. My feet were numb and I couldn't feel my hands.
I wondered if I would get hypothermia. I finally saw the mountain. I didn't know where I was. But I knew that I was now in danger.
I sprinted to the mountain. I got there just in time. When I looked out back at the empty tundra I saw a huge white Dragon. He was searching for me. Sniffing with his snout close to the ground. I smiled and opened the link.
I said "Hello, dragon, I am your Queen, you need to keep searching but I am over in the big crevice by the mountain. How are you bring controlled?" the Dragon stopped for a minute and Its eyes flicked towards me. I smiled and he walked a few paces farther away from me.
He said "My queen I'm sorry. There is a man. He called himself King Mabuz of dragons. We all knew he wasn't but he had something. Bone of us knew what it was. He can control us. I'm sorry we had no choice.
He took all the ice eggs and threatened to break all of them. Please help us. I nodded and said "Okay, act natural and come and pretend you just found me.
Pick me up by my shirt scruff and pull me out of here. I'll do the rest. The Dragon did as I said. He pretended he suddenly had a scent. The rider crooned happily. I smiled as the Dragon reched me.
He sniffed around and then stuck his head into the crevice. I rubbed his nose and kissed his nose. I turned around and he gently grabbed my shirt. He pulled me out and I suddenly realized how huge the Dragon was. When he held me up my feet were probably 6 feet off the ground.
I gulped and he set me down. I turned to face the man and he jumped off. He said "Don't try to run you don't get far!" the Dragon opened his mouth to translate but I said back "I wouldn't dream of running away. I will come." the man stared at me surprised he said "How can you speak Dragon?" I laughed and said "I am the Dragon queen. It is in my blood." the man dropped to one knee.
He said "My queen please forgive my harsh words. We had no choice but to find the one who rode the red fire." I nodded and said "You are forgiven. Please have your Dragon inform all others about me.
I want everyone notified that I have arrived." the man nodded and I looked at me apologetically and I turned around to he could bind me. He didn't bind me too tightly and for that I was greatful.
I was laid on the Dragon and the man climbed up on the Dragon and we took off. I knew I wouldn't fall. I looked at the man and he glanced at me and then on the way to the tribe he told me about Mabuz and the spell they were under.
When we got to the camp I waited for everyone to gather around. They all acted hostile but their eyes held different stories. Some held sadness other held pride and some held hope. The dragons were the same.
I got off the Dragon quite gracefully considering my arms were tied. I was "escorted" to The evil man standing by a huge white building. When we got there the man let me go and I played my part.
I signed through the role and ran towards Mabuz. I enveloped him in a hug and to my disgust he enveloped me in his own hug. I said "Oh Mabuz it was terrible. Not even Blueblood could save me.
But you did. You sent people after me to take me to you. I know now you'll take care of me. In sorry can you forgive me? I was throwing up inside my mind. Mabuz looked down at me and smiled he said "of course my love. Anything for you." I smiled and when he turned to go inside the building I took a ice knife that had been tossed to me and held the knife against his throat.
I said "But my love, I want to stay outside." I said love with as much venom as I could. The whole sentence could have burned him.
I felt everyone take a step away from me. Mabuz went very still. When he tried to move I tutted and said "Oh, I don't think you should move." he whispered "why." I said with a bitter laugh "Can't you remember a similar situation?" he went slack and said "Oh, the forest." I laughed and said "Wow your smarter than I thought!" I laughed at him and he put his head down.
He thought I wouldn't see his smile, or his hand as it gripped a dagger. I laughed as I let go of him. He immediately turned around and slashed at me.
I blocked it easily and then I stabbed his shoulder rendering his arm useless. He conducted a dirty move. He mocked my feet out from under me and I fell with a thud. I surged up and slashed his knee.
He fell. I smiled bitterly as he looked at me with scared eyes. For a moment I saw kain and I couldn't end him. But I only saw Blueblood for a moment. I stabbed Mabuz in his side and he screamed. I didn't kill him but he could bleed out.
I called a healer. "Cover his wound but don't heal him. I want him alive for when Blueblood gets here." Mabuz let's out a choked gasp when I mentioned Kain. I smiled a terrifying smile that didn't reach my eyes. I didn't want to kill Mabuz. I know Blueblood will want to. For kidnapping me.
I will leave it for Blueblood. I was walking towards some people that were smiling at me too. For a moment though their faces free in horror. I didn't understand but I turned and the healer was standing and he was smiling at me in a crazed way.
I looked to where Mabuz was just laying on the ground. The next thing I knew. +
I was flying on Briggen, me and Aradace were looking for Lily. We have never been so desperate before. Suddenly my head hurt. A lot. I yelled and we landed. I dropped to the ground. My head, it had a splitting headache. I yelled again and crushed my face into the soft powdery snow.
I screamed into the snow. I clutched my head and suddenly the pain faded. I looked up with tears in my eyes. We all knew what this meant. I climbed back up on Briggen and we flew in a direction.
I saw some mountains and we flew there. We landed and we were going to make camp but I saw something that made my whole world lighter.
I saw Dragon prints and foot prints. One print seemed to be female. The other seemed to be a big male. The Dragon feet were huge. I followed the female feet into a crevice.
They seemed to be hiding from the Dragon. I saw a little bit of fabric. It was Lily red jacket. My parents had given both of us a jacket. Mine had been black and Lily had been red.
I picked up the Price and had Aradace smell it. She nodded her head and a voice said. That is definitely Lily.
Aradace roared in happiness. She started to follow the tracks. They had walked 2nd not flown. I guess they didn't want haven uncomfortable. I jumped on Briggen. We flew over the tracks. A few hours passed, long and full of shadows. We saw a village.
It was pretty big and the tracks led right to it. We flew to the village. I didn't see anyone. We landed in the village center and when I got off someone came out and said in a hushed whisper "Blueblood? Are you Blueblood?"
I nodded and they motioned for us to follow. The village man led us to a huge building. It was filled with dragons. When Aradace and Briggen went in every Dragon bowed and submitted. My heart swelled in pride.
I saw a huge Dragon walk towards them and I saw as Aradace grew hostile but then I saw understanding sweep through her. I walked with the man as he started to say something. For a minute it sounded foreign but then I could understand the language.
He said "We know which but your queen is being held in. You must hurry. King Mabuz is holing her captive and he hit her head very very hard..." he didn't have to say any more. I would kill him. I ran to the building and opened the door. My rage was blinding. Everything swept into slow motion. Something was happening.
Everyone in the room suddenly fell to the floor. I ran to another door an ripped it open. I saw three people. They took out daggers. My rage swept over them and they fell too. I ran down a flight of stairs underground. I ran to the only door. I saw him. Mabuz. I yelled in rage and it sounded more like a snarl. I took 4 terrifyingly hostile steps towards Mabuz.
A knife was suddenly in my hand and I almost stabbed him in the heart but he said " You won't kill me. I am the only reason your mate is still alive.
I am the only one who knows how to save her. I stopped. And held my ground. I kicked his knee. It was already wounded I could see. I kicked him and he fell. He screamed.
I smiled wickedly. "Then you will make sure she lives. Or I will make your death so painfully slow you'll beg to cut your own throat." Mabuz nodded quickly and turned to look at a portal he said in a voice that held so much fear and shame that I was almost sorry.
Almost. He said "Follow me." he walked through the portal first with me right behind him. When we got through I kicked Mabuz on the ground and looked around. I almost screamed. There were three stages. 1 was a huge ring the had a huge Dragon in it. The Dragon was so big he could step on Lily and probably kill her. I gulped.
The Dragons ears had been cut and broken. The Dragon wouldn't be able to hear Lily. Not even if she spoke to him through her mind. The next stage had a thick forest. I could see hundreds of snakes.
There were also big green dragons there who were in the same shape as the first Dragon. I swallowed another lump as I looked at the last stage.
Lily had to jump across 15 floating rocks. The rocks were floating over a huge chasm. I couldn't see the bottom. I saw Lily when I looked back to the first ring. She was still unconscious but as I watched, she got up.
Lily's P.O.V
I opened my eyes. For a minute I just wanted to close then again but I knew I had to get up. Or I would die. I stood slowly. There was a huge wall before me. On the inside I knew there was a Dragon. I felt it, but there was something wrong. He couldn't hear me when I tried to talk to him.
I reached into my boot. I had stashed my Dagger that Metin have me in my boot. I put it close to my heart. I stalker towards the wall, I looked to the left, nothing. I looked over to my right and saw a little iron door. I went to the door and tightened my hold on the dagger.
With my free hand I opened the door slightly. What I saw made me fling the door wide open. There, on the other side of the gigantic arena was a huge smoky grey dragon. He had his ears cut off and totally destroyed. I stepped in the arena and opened the link. All I heard were growls and distorted words.
I tried saying something but my words were as silent as death itself. I closed the link again. I took another step closer. The Dragon finally saw me. He stalked closer.
He got to me and he put his head low and threateningly. I took another step forward. I pulled out my Dragon rune. He saw it and his eyes widened. He took a step back and placed his head on the ground. I raised the rune higher.
He closed his eyes and what I saw scared me. His eyes leaked water. He was crying. I stepped forward and said in Dragon tongue. "I am sorry friend for your suffering." I placed the rune on his head and he whimpered. I pushed on the rune and it suddenly lit up. I wanted to pull the rune away but I couldn't. I thought for a second.
Maybe it Was good. I kept the rune there and after a moment it was so bright I almost looked away. The light engulfed me and the Dragon. I could see now. A huge Dragon though instead of the battered broken grey dragon I saw a healthy looking young Dragon.
I smiled and he looked down at me. He said "My queen I am sorry. My body is not in my hands now. It is in Mabuz's please forgive me. I meant no harm to come to you. My body is destroyed. I used the rune to talk to you. I'm glad you found it. Put it away and don't take it out please. I want you to kill the Dragon in the arena. It is no longer me and it will try to kill you. I'm sorry. Goodbye."
I put the rune back in my pocket and the light faded. When I took a few stepped from the Dragon I could finally see. The Dragon had lured up and was snarling. I tightened my hold on the dagger and readied myself. I would kill this Dragon. I had to end its suffering. The Dragon suddenly dove at me. I twisted away. I ran under him and slid my Dagger onto his stomach. It didn't do anything. The Dragon turned around again and snarled loudly.
I looked at the sword it was growing. After a second it was now almost as large as one of the horns On the dragons head. I could still swing as if it was a dagger. I loved magical Dragon daggers. I smiled and swung again. This time it made a huge gash in his leg. I dived his talons and jumped into his shoulder.
He swung his head over and looked at me. I flicked my wrist and I slashed his face. I ran into his back and I slashed his wing. He roared in pure pain as his wing ripped and fell off. His wing flipped on the ground before it stopped moving. He raised himself up in the back legs and I fell. I landed hard and I yelled in pain.
I raised my ankle. I ground my teeth together and stood up. I ran towards the Dragon and dug my sword into his leg, deep inside his leg. He roared again. I ran under the dragon and slashed his belly like I did the first time.
His belly ripped open. I ducked out from under the dragon and watched as he roared and fell. I walked towards his face. I looked down at him and he moved his face close to mine. I missed his face before plunging my sword into his chest into his heart.
I sank to my knees as I killed him. It hurt me deeply. I wiped the sweat off my forehead and found out that my arm was bloody. I clasped my arm above my elbow so I didn't lose to much blood. I smiled and looked up towards Mabuz. He was having a tantrum. I also saw Blueblood. He held a knife to his back. Making sure that he didn't try anything. I looked back at the Dragon and said a prayer.
I walked towards a huge door that had appeared at the end of the arena. I held my harm and limped. I was in pain but that didn't matter. All that mattered was getting through this and freeing the dragons. I stepped through the door and saw the jungle. It was floating over a chasm. A very very deep chasm. I couldn't see the bottom. I sighed.
I looked to my left and to my right. It was a huge circular island floating. It was connected by two rickety rope bridges. I stepped up to the start of the bridge. I took my first step in the bridge and held my breath as it dipped down. I took another breathe and exhaled. I walked carefully over the bridge.
I finally reached the end and when I did the rope snapped. I jumped and clasped a outcrop rock. I turned and looked at the bridge that slowly fell down into the endless chasm. I gulped and hauled myself up. I stepped towards the jungle. I knew there would be something in there. Something that wanted to kill me.
My sword had never changed back so I clasped my still huge sword and took a step closer to the forest. I yelled as something landed on my shoulder. I heard a faint hissing sound. A snake had landed on my shoulder. And there was only one snake that lived in the jungle was a Python.
The pythons that live in the forest free to lengths of 32 feet. I gulped. Thankfully the snake tat landed on my shoulder should be no longer that 6 feet. A juvenile. I reached up and pushed the snake off of me. It landed with a dull thump. I heard another hiss. And another. I looked up to see thousands of pythons everywhere.
I screamed and ran. I ran fast dodging trees and fallen trunks. I saw so many snakes. One sight stopped me I my tracks. I saw a huge green Dragon. It was poisonous. I stopped as it stepped closer to me. It was in the same condition as the grey dragon. I sighed. I would have to kill another Dragon. It snarled and jumped at me.
I lifted my sword right as it reached me. It impaled itself. It hissed in pain and fell limp. I killed it easily. Too quickly, to easily. I then realized my mistake. I was now stuck under a Dragon.
I moved my hands and got them out but my hurt foot was crushed between a big rock and a very sharp horn. I gulped and moved it. At once there was a huge sharp pain. It was excruciating. I saw red and then. Black.
Blueblood P.O.V
I watched as Blueblood battled the dragon. It had been weird. The Dragon had laid down and then Lily had touched his head. There was a huge bright light that had engulfed them for 3 minutes. After it had faded the Dragon had risen and snarled loudly. Lily tried to cut its belly but her small dagger had done nothing. She had taken a few steps away and watched as he dagger grew into a full blown sword.
It was huge. She had taken an experimental swing and she swing it just like it was still her dagger. I now watched as she jumped on the dragons back and slashed his wing.
I watched in amazement as she cut the wing off. The Dragon bellowed in pure agony. I winced. I watched as the Dragon reared and as Lily fell. I saw her get up and she slashed his leg. He roared again and then she ducked under his belly.
She slashed it I guess because a moment late the Dragon fell. Mabuz yelled in hatred. I stuck the dagger I had deeper into his back and he winced and stood still and silent again. I watched again as She looked at the Dragon and leaned down and missed him.
She then plunged her sword into the Dragons heart. I sighed. It was dead. I watched as Lily ran to the jungle. She studied it and then noticed the bridges. I saw her take a breath and step onto the bridge. She slowly made her way to the end and when she did the rope snapped and she began to fall but she jumped and reached out to an outcrop.
I saw her haul herself up. She then walked into the jungle limping. I turned to Mabuz. I put pressure on the dagger and said "What, is in that jungle?!" he smiled a sadistic smile and said softly. "Oh just some pythons.
And poisonous forest dragons." I pushed him down and he said "You still need me alive." I growled and yanked him up. I stabbed his arm. He screamed and grabbed his arm.
I pushed him down next to the bars. Keeping us from falling the 5000 feet down to where haven was. I sent a silent prayer up to heaven. I froze when I heard a scream.
I clutched the bars. They bent under my hands. Mabuz looked at me in horror. I heard a roar and then everything was silent. I waited and waited. I heard another scream and after a few minutes finally I saw movement.

I opened my eyes. I was being crushed by something. I saw a very bright light. It was emitting from my shirt pocket. I felt the weight lift off of me and I could breath again. I moved My foot and I almost screamed. I could see through the trees. I was so close.
I dragged my useless foot under me. I almost screamed again as it brushed against a rock. I think it was dislocated. I sat down and held my foot still. My mom fought me how to do this. I grabbed a stick and placed it in between my teeth. I grabbed a rock and with all my strength I slammed it into my ankle.
It made a pop noise and I did scream. I grabbed onto a tree and hauled myself into my good foot. I gently laid my foot down on the ground. It hurt like walking on boiling hot lava. Though now that I think about it.
That wouldn't hurt at all. I took a few steps. Gaining strength. I finally made it out of the God forsaken forest. I looked ahead. There was another huge chasm. So long I couldn't quite see the end through the thick fog.
The fog was So thick you could probably cut it. I winced as I walked towards the chasm. I now noticed the 15 huge rocks floating over the chasm. What I had to do hit me in the face. I had to jump across. Without falling.
I walked to the edge of the rocks. I looked down into the spiraling darkness. I couldn't see the bottom, it dropped into the void.
I looked back I could see dragons stalking at the edge of the jungle. I guess they couldn't go any further, one thing that Mabuz did right. Saying his name made me want to gag, I hated his very being.
I looked at the first floating rock, it was about 5 feet away, slowly turning, taunting me saying I couldn't jump it. I gritted my teeth together and prepared myself, I shuffled my feet and bent my legs. I closed my eyes for a moment and when I opened them I jumped.
I was suspended in the air for a moment before my feet hit the rock, I made it. I caught my balance and steadied my extremely fast beating heart. I crouched slightly again and jumped. I made it. I smiled slightly. This rock was longer so I took a running start. When I got to the end I jumped. I was suspended in the air for a lot longer.
But my feet finally made it. I thought everything was okay but this rock was exceptionally small. I slid off. I turned my body and grabbed the end of the rock. I held myself up. Sweat ran down my face. When did it get so hot? I looked up at the rock. It was crumbling. I tried to pull myself back up but it was useless. I tried again,Harder.
I pulled myself till my chin was above the rock. I moved my arm forward and used my elbow to push me further up. I gasped as I slid back a bit. I grit my teeth together and with all of my strength I hauled my self up the rock.
I laid down on the rock looking at the top of the gigantic cavern. I almost cried. As I inhaled several deep breaths, I looked at my fingers.
They shook, My hands were bloody because of the sharp rock. I took a deep breath and stood back up a little shaky at first, but eventually my strength returned. After a moment, I took another deep breath and looked towards the next rock. I didn't want to make another mistake so I made sure that the next rock was a good size. I evaluated how much room I had and how fast I needed to go.
I looked around me and then back to the next rock. I licked my dry lips and then I jumped. I made it safely. I looked to the next 5 rocks, or at least the 5 I could see. They were all close together, or at least they were closer together than the other rocks. I crouched and tightened my fists. I took one more deep breath before I began.
I jumped on the first rock. I took one more step and then I jumped into the next. I kept going and jumped on the 3rd. This one was long so I took two more steps before I jumped into the fourth. I kept going on this rock. My Momentum carried me easily to the next rock. I stopped abruptly. I could see land. I could see the end. I smiled and looked at the rocks.
There was five left. As I studied the rocks my grin slowly fell off, I looked at the five rocks. They were big but they were far apart. I wouldn't make it. I looked around, I never looked down anymore though, I was scared I would get dizzy and fall.
I gulped and gathered my courage, I would need it to jump across these five rocks. I crouched in my jumping position and the sung my arms a few times and then I jumped. I made it safely. I didn't give myself a moment to be scared.
I jumped again and made it. This time I did stop. I looked down at the rock. It was lower than the rest but it was farther. I can make the jump I have to, I can't fall.
I jumped again and I almost made it, almost. My feet hit nothing but air. I made a desperate grab and got hold of the edge of the rock. I felt something in my left arm give and I screamed. I worked through the pain and slowly inch by inch I hauled myself back up and onto the rock. When I finally got both feet under me I sank to the ground standing on my knees. I held my arm, it felt like a thousand icy needles digging into my flesh.
I I tried to move it but pain laced up my arm and jarred my shoulder. I screamed again and shut my eyes tight. I picked myself up again. I clenched my jaw in pain and took a few steps to the edge. At the act the rocks weren't far away anymore. I let go of my arm and crouched. I pulled my hurt arm towards my chest and held it there tightly.
I grit my teeth together, clenched my jaw and jumped. When I landed in the rock It jarred my arm and I cried out in agony. I had one more jump. I stretched both legs and then my good arm. I won't be able to pull myself up again if I fall. I looked behind me one last time. I looked at the 13 rocks behind me.
I sighed and turned to look in front of me again. I crouched like I always do and jumped. I landed squarely on the rock. I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding. I smiled slightly and then got ready to jump one last time. I was getting tired and I didn't know if I would make it. I jumped and instead of landing squarely I landed on the edge. My legs slipped off but with my good hand I grabbed a rock protruding out of the ground. It held, my lower half was hanging off but with my good arm I dragged myself up.
When I had finally gotten up I stood up and shook the dust off my shoulders, back, and legs. I took a few stepped away from the edge. I didn't ever want to jump again. I looked around there was a portal at the end of the cavern. I took another step and after a moment the adrenalin went away and I sunk to my knees. I could feel my leg and my arm now.
They were probably broken. My leg was pulsing and every pulse was a shot of agony. My arm was the same way. I tried to get up but I screamed in pain as my leg gave out. The portal was so close... I looked around, there was a stick, sturdy, long and straight, laying against the wall.
I would need to get up and go there, it was only about 7 feet away. I let my bad leg go slack and with my good leg I stood. I grunted in pain as I stumbled to the wall. I picked up the stick and put my weight on it; the stick held my weight perfectly. I pulled my arm close to my chest as I made my way to the portal.
Grunting in pain every once in a while when my foot brushed against a rock or jarred itself on the ground. The portal was only 17 feet away but it felt like 100 feet. I eventually got to the portal and before I went through I looked back at Blueblood, he looked busy with Mabuz so I stepped through the portal.
Blueblood P.O.V
I watched as Lily jumped across the rocks, she had fallen in two of them. I winced as she halfway made it into the last jump. She hauled herself up int9 the ground and after a moment she got up, she walked a few feet and sunk to the ground. She was testing out her legs and arms when she screamed.
I felt a tear run down my face. She shouldn't be doing this, I should be i'm stronger. Well, I'm stronger strength wise I guess? I watched as Lily dragged herself to the wall, she stood and grabbed and stick to hold herself up.
I watched silently as she slowly made her way to the portal. She was a few feet away from It when I turned to Mabuz. He smiled sheepishly at me and back up.
I grabbed him and slammed him in the ground. I stepped on his chest and slowly put my whole weight and a little more pressure onto his chest.
I counted each crack as they happened. One... Two..three...four...five. I heard a strangled cry, he would've screamed but I had just broke 5 of his ribs.
I looked down at Mabuz who was weasing. I kicked him and he was sent flying. When I kicked him I heard another crack and when he landed I heard another two.
I walked over to him and he said "Blueblood...please *cough* please I'm very sorry, you wouldn't kill your own brother would you?"
I though about all the terrible things he did. I grabbed him and yanked him up. I brought him to eye level, and said "You tried to kill me three times, you kidnapped Lily twice, you also almost killed her four times.
You think I shouldn't kill you? When mother and father banned you, you became your own Lord and enslaved people to do your bidding.
I'm going to kill you." Mabuz looked up at me and then looked down.
He smiled slowly and said "Okay but your going down with me!" he brought about a knife and stabbed me in the stomach.
It hurt so much much but I remembered what Lily had just gone through and I held back my gasp of pain.
I smiled at Mabuz and pulled the knife out. I said "I don't think so." I turned the knife around and stabbed him.
His breathing slowed and then stopped. I looked down at my stomach. It was bleeding heavily, I ripped Mabuz's shirt off and tied it around my side.
I put pressure on it too and looked at the 3 stages. The dead dragon, the forest filled with pythons, and the 15 floating void rocks. I shook my head and wondered how Lily had done it. I was just glad that Lily had done it.
I smiled and turned back to the portal and finally stepped through.
When I stepped through I fell to my knees. My arm and my leg felt like they were being ripped apart. I need to stay strong I stood back up and faced the people surrounding the portal. They gasped and all of them stared at me in awe.
I swallowed hard and said "I need a mendon, or a healer... Please." everyone looked at each other. Some looked at the dead healer who had turned traitor.
Some people shook their head. I turned to look at the portal. blueblood stepped out and when he saw me he ran and embraced me. He was gentle and he made sure not to touch my arm or my leg.
I embraced him too. After a moment I felt a little tug. I turned to look at a small lady. I smiled and said "Yes ma'am? Can I help you?" she nodded and said "Can I help you." she smiled up at me. One of her eyes was brown and the other was bright blue.
I nodded and she grabbed my good arm gently and she lead me to a small building. She said "blueblood, please stay outside. I have a feeling you won't want to see this. I turned and nodded to blueblood and he nodded back and stood guard.
I turned back to the little lady. She had pulled out a mat and was gesturing for me too sit down. I laid myself down great fully and she whispered, "This will hurt a lot okay? I wish I could help you all the way but the best mendon we have was a traitor.
I'm deeply sorry that this has happened." I nodded and said "I am grateful to anyone who helps. I am deeply sorry you had to lose a great mendon." she nodded and then set to fixing my arm. First she put a very strong sleeping ointment on my scratches. After about 5 minutes the scratches disappeared.
I stared in wonder at them. Next the mendon lady poked and priced me and set any broken bones when she found them. Sometimes I screamed and other times I would gasp and grit my teeth together.
She finally got to my leg and foot. There was a huge gash in my calf and I also had a broken ankle and many of the bones in my foot were broken. She set the bone in my ankle right and then she set to work setting the bones in my foot right too.
She wrapped my foot after a while and then put a very hard cast on it. She also put a very hard cast on my arm too. She then said a few words over each of the casts and suddenly they weren't heavy at all. I smiled and she helped me stand.
I walked around a little as I got used to the cast. I called in my head "Aradace? Are you there? Please can you hear me?" After a minute of not hearing an answer I finally heard something. Lily? Is that really you, can you hear me?" I said again louder "Aradace! Where are you come get me please!"
Aradace roared happily and showed me her vision. She was at the mountain where I got "captured" I sent directions through our link and after about 29 minutes I finally heard wing beats.
I hobbled outside and completely ignored blueblood as he tried to help me. I ran/hobbled to the place Aradace was landing. She ran straight towards me and engulfed me in her wings and she cradled me in her arms against her neck.
She crooned and fussed over my casts and wraps. I smiled perfectly content. She finally put me down and lifted her wings. I saw Briggen as he stood beside Aradace. He lowered his giant face and nudged me.
I scratches his chin and he said "Oh Lily I was so worried. Me and Aradace searched everywhere I am so sorry we couldn't have gone faster. I nodded and he lifted his face again.
I said "It's okay it's not your fault Mabuz captured me. I smiled and Aradace said "I am just glad your back. Now you need rest I'll be right there okay?"
I nodded and suddenly realized how tired I really was. One of the leaders came to me and said "Queen haven we have a house ready for you. It will be guarded all night..." He crawled on and when he was silent I said "Thank you but I want all your guards to not protect me but to protect the citizens.
I want the village protected incase something happens in the night. I watched as the town leader nodded I said "Besides I'll have two dragons and blueblood with me. Its more than enough." He nodded again and said "Very well queen Lily. I will make sure every guard is posted. Thank you, now I will lead you to the house.
Could I get you anything else?" I shook my head and we walked to the house, It has a huge section open. This must be a dragon rider house. I deeply appreciated the house. I wanted Aradace as close to me as possible.
When we got into the house I went to the bedroom. A moment later Aradace came to the window and laid down with her head and part of her neck inside.
I noticed the bed across the room. It was a king bed. It was huge. blueblood came up the stairs a moment later and noticed me starting at the bed and the the window. He silently wrapped his arms around me and picked me up.
He set me on the bed and then grabbed the end of the bed. He pulled and shoved till the bed was right next to the gigantic window I was next to Aradace and I dropped my hand over the side of the bed and dragged my fingered softly across her head.
blueblood sat in bed and said "I had a town baker get us some food she should be here any minute. As if on cue a woman knocked on the door. I said "Come in please." a little too eagerly and the woman walked in and set the food down. She bowed her head to both of us and said "I've made this food myself it should be of the highest quality.
If it is not please send for me immediately and I shall change whatever I've done wrong." I nodded and she left the room. I smiled as blueblood got up. He grabbed a fork and stabbed at whatever was on the plate. He said "This is a type of meat they have here in the tundra."
He Fed me the bite of meat. It was delicious. He smiled as he Fed me the meat and once it was gone He moved to vegetables and eventually a smooth creamy pastry. I felt full by the time I was done.
blueblood said he had already eaten but I figured it was a lie. He snuggled under the covers, and he threw the comforter over my body. We snuggled close together and in no time at all I was asleep.
I woke up to sunlight filtering through the window. I reached for Lily but she wasn't there. For a split second I though that yesterday had been a dream but right as I got up Aradace poked her head through with Lily on her neck. Aradace had grown huge.
Her stomach too. She was almost bigger than a small house here. Briggen kept a very close eye on her. I smiled as Lily got down from Aradace. She limped towards me and I held out my arms. She gently pressed herself against my chest and everything that has been happening these past few days came crashing down on me and then passed on to her.
I took in a huge shuddering breathe as tears rolled down my face. I whispered sweet things in her ear as we both cried for a few moments. She looked up at me and I quickly drew her in to kiss her. It was a deep kiss and I enjoyed it because the last time I kissed her I thought would be the last kiss.
I smiled down at her and kissed her forehead. She smiled and she said "There is breakfast downstairs, me and Aradace were just doing some training and exercises. I nodded and we went to the bathroom to clean up. I got a few glimpses of Haven struggling with her clothes, keeping my eyes averted I walked over to her and gently tugged her shirt over her head.
I Did her belt and then got behind her and brushed her hair till it was silky and curly. I pulled her hair up on top of her head and out of her face. I tied it up with a leather binding. I tied a red sash over her shoulder and then twice around her waist to complete her warrior-like look. I smiled as she looked in a mirror.
She looked at me surprised and I smiled and laughed. She smiled back and we walked out and down the stairs with our fingers interlaced. I smiled as she got complements about her look and her beautiful curly blond hair. We finally made it to where everyone was having dinner.
Everyone stood when we entered and I raised my hand and everyone sat back down. I pulled out Lily chair and some of the girls giggled and awed. I smiled and kissed havens hand as she sat down. She looked at me and smiled as I winked.
She blushed and I sat down to the right of her. We sat at the end of the long table. It was made out of a special maple wood that you can only find in the tundra because it was so tough. When we both sat down 8 townsfolk came in with platters. I could tell they worked at the bakery.
When one lady passed me with no plate I stopped her when Haven wasn't looking and said "Could you get the red dragon a platter of bacon? She loves bacon." she nodded and rushed off. One boy was obviously new. He kept forgetting with way to put down the knives and forks.
When he got to me and tried to figure out how to put the silverware down I leaned over and said "Knives on the right and forks on your left. Knives facing towards the plate so you don't cut yourself." He looked at me awed and put them in the right place.
I could tell he was chanting that over and over and he never messed up once. I smiled and looked at the food that was being placed in front of Lily and I, it was freshly cooked flat cakes with maple syrup. It also had two skinny slabs of melted butter. The flat cakes had eggs surrounding them and bacon too. Lily grabbed some of the bacon and rolled it up in a napkin.
I knew she would give them to Aradace but I leaned over and said "I already had someone take Aradace bacon, you don't think I wouldn't forget my promise to Aradace?" she made an "o" shape with her mouth and laughed. I laughed too and we ate our breakfast. After everything was fine and everyone had finished I stood and addresses all the leaders. "Everyone, you are too kind to keep us for the night we truly thank you, but we must go. We need to be back home searching for even more dragons. Before we leave we wanted to know if there are any found dragon riders? I noticed that there were only adults." One woman stood and said "There are only two, we don't know where they came from but they are here and all us women take care of them.
Their names are Aleron and Alita." (Ale-ron) (All-ee-tah) I smiled and Lily said "Can someone call them we need to talk with them." the woman nodded and rushed out of the room. We followed after dismissing everyone and thanking them One last time. We walked outside to find Aradace finishing the last of her bacon.
She had given some to Briggen to because he also was finishing some bacon. Aradace finished and hopped over to Lily She put a wing down and Lily climbed up her wing onto her back. I jumped into Briggen's back with a little boost and right as we were going to set off a humongous ice dragon flew to us. He landed beside Lily and said out loud. "Queen haven I am so sorry to disturb you but I could help but smell you and there is a sent on you that smells like my rider. O-of course I've never smelled him before but I know it's him..."
He drawled on and Lily eyes widened and she duh around in her backpack and found a shirt. It was her father's. I didn't understand for a moment but then I realized that Havens father's dragon was ice. The dragon said "I've felt this pull ever since last weekend and I just know my rider summoned me.
I can feel it. haven held out the shirt and the dragon smelled it. He nodded his giant head and said "Yes that's it. In 100% sure that's my rider." Lily smiled real big and said something softly. The dragon reared back and bowed he said I am honored to be his dragon. Of course, of course. What an honor."
I figured Haven told the dragon that his rider was her father. I smiled and right then two relatively small dragons flew to us. On one dragon was a girl and on the other was the boy I had talked to during dinner. The one placing knives and forks. I smiled at them and they landed. They said "We are the dragon riders you sent for. What can we do for you?" I nodded to Lily and she said "I hope you can get your things packed quick.
Your coming to live at the castle if that is okay with you." I thought to myself if I told Metin now she could have two rooms already made for them... "Wait we are going to the castle wi-with you?" me and Lily nodded. I said "Yes you will be protected and you'll be trained to be a great dragon rider." they nodded and flew off.
We waited for about 10 minutes before they came back with bags on either side of their dragons. We all made sure we had everything and then with one last wave to everyone at the village we took off into the air. We flew silently for a while but eventually Lily started asking a questions 1.
Lily's P.O.V
We flew for a while silently. Questions I had for Aleron and Alita were nagging me and begging to be answered. I finally asked a question, "So Alita, Aleron, how old are y'all? Alita smiled and said "We are both 19, we turn 20 in the month of september on the 18th." I looked at them and questioned "We?" She nodded and Aleron said "We are twins." I nodded silently and asked "Where are y'all from then? Alita and Aleron cast each other a glance and said together "We don't know." I studied Alita and Aleron closer. Their mother obviously knew about dragons to name them She who is winged and He who is winged.
I looked at them both. Alita had long blond hair that was straight. It flowed like a golden river. Aleron had brown hair that is messy and spiked up. He was very good looking he had broad shoulders and he was tall. Alita was rather tall maybe 5'7 and she also had broad shoulders. Alita had very dark brown eyes while Aleron had hazel almost green eyes. Alita was rather pale though, while Aleron looked a little sunkissed. I looked away and asked "Do you know your mother or your father?" there was no response. I nodded again and we were quiet. I thought about them till the day started to end. I looked up and around at our surroundings. We had gotten directions to our Castle.
They didn't want us to go back the way we came so we were going on a shortcut. We were going to say on the coast till we came to the castle port. Then we would fly home. This trip, if we only slept at night would take us 4 days. I smiled at the prospect of getting home. Looked around again, we're a few miles from the ocean. We were still in the tundra but I could tell it would be ending soon. Here and there, there was patches of grass. It was still very cold so that grass was yellow.
We landed on a big patch of yellow grass and set of camp. Since we didn't have and wood we used leather and other resources. I smiled as Aradace lit the fire. I was warm already but I invited the fire. I played with the fire for a while when kain left to go hunting with Briggen. I could tell that Alita and Aleron were watching me play. I twirled my fingers through the fire and brought the fire up. It curled and cracked over my fingered and danced into the night air. It went higher and higher till I curled my arm back and the fire swirled down.
It was beautiful. Once I let go of the fire I sat back and watched as my hands cooled down. When I put them in fire or touch something hot the sort of her a glow to them. I smiled as the twins looked at each other in awe. I turned to them and smiled. The smiled and Aleron put his palm up and a pale blue light started to emit from it.
He smiled and swirled his finger and a little bluish white tornado rose from his hand. He sent it into the air and he made more of them. About 15 snow tornados flew around our heads. I summoned my fire and made a ball. It swirled and made intricate patterns. I sent it up into the air and it swirled around the air. It would bump into an ice tornado and when that happened the ball would go through it 2nd then the tornado would fix itself. I was amazing.
I was so fixated on the fire I didn't realise that blueblood had come back and was starting to cook the Food he had brought back. He had killed two quail like creatures. They were big and me and blueblood would share one and Alita and Aleron would share. I smiled as blueblood sat down and wrapped his arms around me. I sighed and leaned back. He was almost ice cold, I slightly raised my body tempature and he sighed as he rested his head on my shoulder.
We sat like that for a while and finally our birds were done. I ripped of a quail leg and ate most of that, it was so good. We are our fill and then put the birds in a cooler that Metin had constructed. I smiled and leaned against Aradace. She curled her neck around and laid her head on my lap. I knew Alita and Aleron wouldn't be cold. They were immune to the cold as I was heat. I smiled as they curled next to their own dragons.
My father's dragon curled up alone and I saw Briggen try to decide whether or not to sleep near Aradace or Him. I saw Briggen turn around and go towards the dragon. I heard Briggen say "I am sleeping near Aradace would you like to come with us so you're not alone?" the dragon nodded and got up saying "Thank you, i've always slept alone because I was almost the only one without it a rider..." I frowned and Aradace said "it will be fine Lily, he had friends but they slept with their families. We talked." I nodded as she concluded her statement. I knew he would be happy when we got home.
I watched as the all curled up together. blueblood curled into Briggen's side. Briggen wrapped his tail around sin and curled his neck around so his head sat on the groin close to blueblood . The ice dragon sat against Briggen. That was the last thing I saw before darkness settled in. I didn't dream that night. 2
It has been three days since we left the tundra, we should be getting the the port today. I could wait and so when we saw the port I couldn't hardly contain myself. It has been almost a year since we started looking for dragons. I was excited to finally be home. We will be staying home for a few months and then we will go to search for mountain dragon. When we returned from that Aradace will be ready to lay her two eggs. I smiled at the prospect of two little Aradace's running around. We finally got to the port and I basically had to be restrained by Aradace from jumping off of her and injuring my arm and leg even more.
I smiled as Aradace reached down and gently took me in her mouth and set me on the ground. I laughed and walked to the port/gate guard. I said "Hello, We have been travelling from a long way away and we need to get past to the castle." the guard bowed low and said "You need now ask princess Lily, you know you can pass free." I nodded as he straightened I said "I am no different I will still pay the fine
. I pulled out 4 gold coins and said "The dragons I'm afraid count as one. I dropped one more gold coin and the guard bowed low again as he opened the gate. We stepped through the gate and then got up on our dragons again. Our dragons walked fast towards the castle. They slowed when we got to the village, my father's dragon held his head high and Aradace and Briggen did too.
The two ice dragons didn't hold their heads up as high but I could tell they were curious and proud. I waved to a few people and blueblood did too. I smiled and when we finally got to the castle my father was waiting at the castle doors. I got off Aradace and was going to Run to father but a the dragon reached him first. The ice dragon jumped over my head and landed beside my father.
My father was startled at first but then startled he said "You're... You're my dragon!?" the great dragon lowered his head and spoke out loud "Yes, I am yours and you are my rider. I've waited my whole life for this." I walked over and said "Father he doesn't have a name. You name him." my father though for a minute but he eventually said "You, my dragon will be called Polaris, or North star." the dragon stood tall and did his name "Polaris... I love it! I finally have a name." I smiled and Polaris lowered his head again and my father rubbed his head.
I was so happy. I grabbed a few shrinking pearls and threw them in every dragon except Aradace and Briggen. My father was startled when Polaris shrunk to a size a little smaller than a large horse. I laughed as my father opened the doers while Polaris strode through followed by mesmerized Alita and Aleron with their shrunk dragons. I smiled and I watched Aradace and Briggen flew away bumping into each other and roaring softly in happiness. I grabbed blueblood hand and we followed my father inside.
We walked through a few halls and then we got to the dragon rider hallway. I had Metin construct a big room for both Alita and Aleron because they didn't want to be separated. The of course had separate bathrooms and beds. We got to their room and I opened the door and was met by a white interior accented with blue, purple and green. It looked like the Aurora Borealis dancing across ice, I smiled and backed away from the room.
"Go on in..." I swept my arm to the side and watched their faces as they walked in. They hugged each other and then when They came out they smiled wide and said "I love it!" together. I smiled and nodded "In so glad. Why don't you guys get ready Dinner will be in 30 minutes. They nodded and closed the door. I went to my room and blueblood went to his. Before I could open my door I was tackled by an unknown person.
I flipped them over and held their arms down. I finally got a good look at them and when I did I laughed, sitting beneath me looking so very pleased was Amber. I laughed and let go. I stood and offered a hand up. She smiled and stood with my: help a:nd she said: "I really thought you weren't expecting that...!" I laughed again and said "I wasn't that's why I acted so fast, I was reacting to something unknown, it keeps you alive."
she nodded and we walked into my room smiling. "So how was the trip to the tundra. I can tell your still hurt because of the cast on your leg." she looked worried and confused. I wouldn't blame her. I had already gotten the arm cast taken off, my arm hadn't been that bad but there would still be scars. My leg was very bad and I had to wear the cast for another week. I sighed and said "I'll tell everyone over dinner. No one knows the full story yet. So I'll share during Dinner." she nodded and Amber left so I could get dressed. I carefully put on some blackpantn and ananenandt onana orange shirt.
It was cut but casual. I smiled and a put myanblondan hair into an intricate bun. I smiled at my reflection and then left the bathroom. blueblood was waiting for me propped up on the bed.
I smiled and he took my hand and we walked out to meet with Alita and Aleron. I smiled at them and we all headed to dinner where all the kids would already be. We finally made it to the dinner and when we stepped through the door my father looked at us and jumped out of his seat. Everyone looked towards us but I was as confused as everyone else. My Father walked over and studied Alita and Aleron. His face widened and he said "Alita? Aleron? Is that you?"
I stumbled a little and said "How do you know them already? I haven't even introduced them?" at faattr talked to me and then back at them.
I was so confused but my father said: "Come here look at this mirror." I stood in the mirror and Alita joined me followed by him.
When I studied all of us my eyes widened. We were all a mirror image of the each other. My father stepped into the mirror and said look at all of you.
"I wish your mother could be here to witness all her children in the same room."
