Silver was alone for almost a year. But soon he meets a voice who will show him a new world.
Silver had been lost without his friends. He was alone. But soon he meets a voice who will show him a new world. A world filled with new friends. New lands. And a new body. How will Silver manage in this world of ponies?
(Note: The ponies are in chapter 3 the first 2 chapters just show silver turning into a pony)
It had been nearly a year since Silver had beaten Iblis. It had also been nearly a year since Silver had lost his best friend Blaze. He had been living his life lonely and quietly. The monsters had all gone and Silver was able to take all the time to study and better his personality rather than fight.
While wishing one day he would be able to see his friends again he knew this would never come to be. And as he was sitting atop a mountain under a tree sniffing a flower he thought to himself "I just want to have a friend again... I just don't want to be so alone anymore..." He had tossed the flower aside looking at the sunset remembering all the adventures he had with his friends. "You don't want to be alone anymore is that it?" An unfamiliar voice had said. "Who's there!" Silver shouted unaware that there was no one near him. "I've just come to make your dream come true dear friend. Im just in your little noggin" "Your..... Your inside my head?" Silver said completely puzzled as he sat down again. "This is some kinda joke..." "Not a joke Silver. Not a joke at all. You don't want to be alone. But I could help you ya know." The strange voice had said. "Ok.... But what can you do if your inside my head?... And what may I call you if I may call you anything at all?" "Just call me Frack! And Silver. Turn around." Silver had decided against calling what appeared to be himself "Frack" but gave in eventually. "very well.... Frack... What is it you wish to show me?"
A couple minutes had passed and Silver was waiting. "Have I just gone crazy...? Maybe there was really nothing there?" He thought to himself still wondering if the voice he had been talking to really existed. A few more minutes had passed and Silver had been staring at the now darkened sky. "Such beautiful stars.." He said to himself.
Just as he sighed to himself he turned around to leave when he felt a peculiar amount of energy from behind him. "Woh Silver don't leave yet! Sorry it took so long. But gathering the energy to do this takes quite a lot of work!" "Frack!" Silver found himself to he slightly more happier than he should have. Perhaps he just thought it was nice he hadn't gone completely insane.
At this Silver had turned around to try and see where the power surge had come from. As he did so he saw a portal. A portal just big enough for him to crawl through. "Frack? Is this your doing?" Silver said with slight concern. "It sure is Silvs! Can I call you Silvs? ahh.. I'll call you Silvs anyway. But this my dear friend. Will solve the answer to your lonely ways." Silver had stared at the portal with a worried look on his face. "You mean.... going through here?.... Will make me stop being lonely?.." Silver had a voice of slight enthusiasm as a small smile grew on his face. Although it soon went away. He started to wonder. I have only just met this being inside me.... Would it really be so wise as to trust it?.. "You know Silvs... I don't want to kill you or anything" Frack had been laughing a little. "And before you say anything I can read what your thinking. I am inside you after all!" Silver sighed staring back at the portal and walking closer to it. "Frack.... you promise.... this will help me?..." "As sure as im a cosmic being inside your head friend."
Silver grew a worried look. But soon after a very short debate he walked towards the portal. And walked in.
Silver had slowly opened an eye. His head aching and his eyes feeling groggy as though he had slept inside a dumpster. He grabbed his head with his hand to feel if he had bumped his head. No bumps. But what he found more peculiar was that he had no fingers. "No... Fingers?" He looked at his hand. Not a hand anymore. A hoof. A yellow hoof. Silver quickly pulled his head back in surprise "What... What madness is this?!" He shouted looking at his other hand which was also a hoof. "This... This isn't what I wanted!" Silver had leaned up to also looked at his feet which were now hooves as well. He also noticed he had a long golden tail instead of a short stubby one. "Why am I.... Yellow?" He proceeded to question this trying to stand up but clumsily falling trying to get used to this new apparent pony body. "Ok... Ok... I must have hit my head or something...." Silver turned to look at himself from his whole body he had been yellow. Also staring at his rear he found that he had a mark. The same mark he had on his gloves. only this one had been red. "This is so strange... Why am I like this?"
Silver finally being able to stand felt his head. He felt something on his head. But it felt nothing like a bump. Suddenly realizing Silver wasn't even at that same mountain anymore. No he was actually on a small hill with small little white flowers all around him.
"Frack! FRACK! Where are you?" Silver called but with no response. He decided standing around would get him no where so he searched frantically for anything he could use as a mirror. He couldn't find anything except a nearby creek with a great big oak tree standing over it.
Trotting over towards it Silver started to wonder. "What happened? How did I even get here?... Is this all a dream? Maybe I finally did lose it... I've gone crazy..." Silver said reaching the creek as he looked into it. He really was a pony. No doubt about it now. His quills had now been in the form of a mane no longer spiked up as they were before but more back. He also saw that what he thought was a bump on his head was not a bump at all. It was a horn. A horn that glowed white. Silver was not sure what to think. At this he realized as he looked back again he had wings. Wings that were tucked away so that he was not able to realize they were there. He wasn't even sure how to untuck them. Silver was in shock. He was unsure what to think at this point as he sat down under the great oak tree sighing "None of this makes any sense..."
"Enjoying your new body Silvs?" A now familiar voice had spoken.
"Ahh.... Frack... Your back.." Silver said blandly "You don't sound to happy to hear from me buddy." Frack said chuckling a little. "Oh can you tell? What the heck is going on here? I... I don't understand any of it!" Silver said realizing he was shouting a little and quieted down "Im so confused... I don't know where I am and I'm a PONY!" Frack had just laughed again. "Silver. I said I was gonna help you. And I will. Just have faith buddy. I will explain everything on the way. Now get your lazy butt up from under this tree and let's go somewhere." Reluctantly Silver sighed again trotted towards the creek lapping up some of the refreshing cool and clear water and started walking along a dirt road leading towards a sign.
"You see Silver. The reason I brought you here was because it's so much more lively than where you were before. Have you taken a good look around?" Silver actually didn't notice this. As he looked around he noticed it was a bright shining day with the sun out. He looked around as there was beautifully green grass and trees of all assortments such as willows and oaks and Evergreens. Silver had read about these kinds of trees but never thought he would get the chance to see one. "And you see." Frack started to speak once again. "Your a special type of pony. Not many of these kinds exist around here what you are." Silver had a puzzled look on his face. "Really? Then... Why am I the pony that I am now?" "It's because of your abilities silly!" Frack said with enthusiasm "I thought you would have been able to guess why yourself!" At this Silver thought long and hard before finally giving up "I really have no clue Frack." He said. "Alright well let's look at the things you were able to do before. You were able to levitate and fly as a hedgehog were you not? That explains the wings." At this Silver let out a slight "ohhhh." "And the horn allows you to have abilities of magic. Something the pony folk around here have.. Well the unicorns anyway." "So your saying my horn is a mirror of my psychokenisis?" Silver asked. "Now your getting it!" Frack said. He might have had a smile on his face had he been around him.
"Oh look! There. That sign. you see it Silvs? Read the directions." As Silver had realized he was fast approaching the sign he strained his eyes to read it from a short distance away before actually being only about a foot away from it now. To the left the sign had read to some place that had a strange name. But the one on the right had caught Silvers attention. "Ponyville..." Silver had said to himself. "A place where ponies live maybe?..." At this conclusion Frack couldn't help but laugh. "Way to go Einstein. Yes this is where ponies reside. This is also where you will get to meet some nice folks who can help you get rid of your..... Aloneness" Frack said trying to think of a word.
Silver had started trotting along to where the sign was pointing along the dirt road towards Ponyville as he saw a bridge not to far from it in fact. The bridge had flowing water under it and Silver walked along by looking at his reflection. He then suddenly thought to himself. "I haven't talked to anyone in ages... I won't be able to hold a conversation with any other folk around here..." Silver had blushed up a little thinking about how silly it was how he wanted friends and didn't even know how to make any. And as Silver had crossed the bridge making his way into Ponyville. He was met with someone who had bumped into him rather hard knocking him to the ground.
"Oh! Im sorry! I didn't see you! Wait.. You have wings? AND a horn?? that means your an alicorn!! That's so cool I didn't know there were any beside Celestia, Cadence, and Luna! That's so cool! But your horn is... Different. Are you a special kind of alicorn? Well that doesn't matter! We all have our own special parts right? Your horn is so cool though! I never see any unicorns with a WHITE horn! Normally yours should be yellow because your yellow! Wait your new here right? Well it looks like I have a new friend to make!!" The pony had been bouncing around as Silver grabbed his head and looked up to see the pony that had bumped into him. She was a pink pony. with even pinker poofy hair. No not hair. A mane and a poofy tail to match.
"Well seeing as your new it looks like I'll have to give you an official Ponyville welcome!" Pinkie said giggling and she hopped around in circles around Silver. "Oh I... Don't think that will be necessary thank you Pinkie..." Silver said shyly standing back up on his hooves and dusting himself off. "Don't be silly! I have to be friends with ALL the ponies in Ponyville!" She said quickly pulling a cannon from behind her. "What?.... May I ask.... Is that?" Silver said with a greatly confused look on his face. "It's my party cannon! I never leave home without it!" Pinkie said still as giggly and happy. Silver soon started thinking to himself "I hope not all of the residence here are like this.... I don't think I'll last.." Just as soon as he tried gathering his thoughts however a loud shot from the cannon went off and Silver was soon covered in confetti. "Look miss Pinkie im sorry but this really isn't necessary... But... It's nice to meet you... My name is Silver the..." Silver soon cut himself off realizing he couldn't call himself a hedgehog anymore. "...Pony." Pinkie giggled at this. "Well of course your a pony silly! were all ponies! well... except for the rabbits, squirrels, birds, falcons, eagles, turtles, frogs...." Pinkie continued naming off animals and at this Silver took his time to try and sneak away around a building corner and sighed. "I don't think I can take living like this if all the ponies are like this..." He said to himself.
Just as soon as he started to trot away Pinkie was right in his face once again still naming off animals. "And FISH! Fish are so quiet... I always wondered if fish could throw parties under water! Anyway Silver Silvy." Pinkie started to burst out laughing at this. "Haha there's your nickname! Silvy!" Silver blushed at this. He hadn't been called Silvy in ages. And he wasn't too fond of the nickname either. But he decided not to be rude by telling Pinkie this. "So im going to throw you a super amazing fantastic party! So you get to meet ALL the ponies in Ponyville and they can all be your friends!" She said beaming. "Oh I am just a simple pony Pinkie no need to throw a party thank you." Silver said slowly backing away as Pinkie kept hopping towards him. "Oh no no no no no! I have to throw this party! Everypony is going to want to meet you! We don't meet many ponies like you and im sure you don't want to be stuck without knowing anypony!" Silver started thinking at this. It's true he didn't want to be alone. However he also didn't want everyone knowing about him already. "Uhmm perhaps you can throw this party tomorrow Pinkie. maybe that would be better..." Silver said nervously. "The sooner the better! It is going to be tomorrow in the evening! And you better be there Silvy! Or I'll find you and drag you by your hooves to meet everypony!" She said now in his face their snouts nearly touching. Silver couldn't help but blush and nod in agreement and Pinkie giggled and happily hopped away.
Silver sighed in relief at her leaving him alone. "She's sweet." He said to himself. "If a bit... Clingy... What was that she was saying? EveryPONY? I guess that's how things work around here..." Silver said to himself feeling slightly awkward but laughed at it. "everypony." He said quietly realizing he was laughing at this now.
Silver soon after found himself wandering to a fountain in the middle of the whole area. "This must be the center of town.." He said to himself looking around. "I see ponies around here are quite modern.. It's actually very quaint around here..." At this however Silver noticed that most of the ponies who he had seen had stared at him with without much being said. They glanced looks at each other then back towards Silver. They whispered to each other looking at him. Silver felt very uncomfortable at this and tried to find out more about this place. He had seen a pony walking by with a blue and dark blue colored mane and a tail to match as well as some rather large glasses and music note on her rear. "Uhmm... E-excuse me.." Silver had called towards the mare. She had turned around and taken off her glasses staring at him with wide eyes. "Woh.... Dude.... That's a pretty awesome horn you got there... Not something you see on the average pony.... In face we don't see many alicorns around here. My names Vinyl! What's up?" Silver smiled a bit knowing not all ponies were as rude as he thought and felt slightly at ease knowing all of them weren't like Pinkie. "I was wondering if there was any place around here I could perhaps get a few books.. I would like to know more about where I am." "Well your in Equestria for starters." Vinyl said with a small smirk on her face as though to tease him. "More specifically in Ponyville as im sure you know. She had pointed in a direction to the East where a large tree was standing. Rather the most unique building out of the rest. "Over there is where you could get those books you wanted. You'll meet a pony named Twilight. Your new here arnt you?" Silver nodded. "Well don't be intimidated by the pony folk here. Im sure that they're just getting used to seeing a unique pony such as yourself." She gave him a warm smile. "Im the DJ of this place and maybe one day you could come out and watch? It would be awesome." She said with enthusiasm. "Uhmm.... Maybe one day..." Silver said not as enthusiastic but smiling. "It was very nice meeting you miss Vinyl. I hope to see you around." He said with a smile on his face. "Oh you will believe me!" She said putting her glasses back on and walking away. "She had a horn.... So... there are others with horns as well... She was a unicorn.... Does that mean that there are ponies with wings here as well?... hmm interesting.." Silver said before walking towards the fairly large tree before bumping into what was most likely another pony. They had both fallen down and Silver had heard a thud. Looking at it he saw it was a book. several books actually. And as Silver looked he saw a purple glow surround the books as they started levitating.
"Oh! Im sorry! I was just heading back to my library and I didn't see you there. I just got some new books I was going to read and... Woh..." She was cut off before saying anything else Silver looked up to see another unicorn. This one was Purple. With a light and dark purple mane and, once again, A tail to match. "I.... Haven't seen you around before.... I actually have never seen an alicorn like you before.... My name is Twilight Sparkle." She said helping him up. "Would you like to come back to the library with me and talk? I would like to know more about you. I didn't know there was another alicorns out there!" She said with great happiness in her voice.
At this Silver got up. Nodded and they walked towards the large tree like library together.
As Twilight and Silver were walking Twilight was asking Silver many questions about him. "So how did you come to Ponyville? Why is your horn white? Shouldn't it be yellow? Where were you before coming here? Do you have royal family? Do you know Princess Celestia, Luna, and Cadence?" The questions kept on coming as Silver just kept trotting along still trying to think of an excuse for all of it. He couldn't talk about being a hedgehog before. He didn't want to seem like a loon and be thrown into a nuthouse. He would have to lie about it. As for being an alicorn he still wasn't sure how to use his horn and wings. "I had a very sever case of amnesia and I don't remember anything. I only remember waking up in a field and that's it... Nothing comes to mind." He looked over at Twilight hoping she would buy his lie. "Oh dear? Really? Do you even know why your horn is white?" Silver shook his head. "Well.. When someone has a case like this usually some things bring back the memories. You'll remember soon enough. And I can help!" Said with great pleasure. "I really didn't know there were any other alicorns besides the princesses. Not to mention one that looks as spectacular as you!" Silver blushed a little at this. "I'm not anything special from a normal pony..." he said laughing nervously. "Are you kidding?" Twilight said with a blank expression. "Just the fact your an alicorn makes you special! But enough about that. What do you remember about yourself?"
This question quickly made Silver uneasy as he was unsure of what to think at this point. That is until they finally reached the library and Twilight changed the subject. "Oh... Well it looks like were here already. Maybe we could talk later Thanks for walking me here." Twilight said smiling. "Actually." Silver said quickly. "I was hoping I could borrow some books... You know some about Equestria history some books about spells and magics.... You know anything that could inform me about life here." Twilight's eyes widened a little bit at the thought of another pony wanting to actually read books and learn about Equestria's history. "Oh of course! come on in!" She said opening the door allowing Silver to step in. "Spike! oh Spiiike!" Twilight called. Silver was puzzled. Was Spike a pet of some sort? Just as he started to think A small purple dragon carrying a very tall stack of books was walking down the stairs. "Im here Twilight im here." He said carefully trying to make his way down the stairs.
Just as Spike was walking though A purple glow had grown around him as he started to float towards them. Silver saw this and looked towards Twilight to see her horn was the source of it. "Now I get it..." Silver thought to himself. "The horn on a unicorn must determine what they can do. I wonder if there are any other neat tricks they can do." Just so Spike had spotted Silver and greeted him with a friendly wave "Hi there! Names Spike! Im Twilight number 1 assistant!" He said cheerfully. "Spike I need you to help me find a couple books for our new friend here." Spike sighed as he saw the books he was carrying in a pile on the floor now. "Alright anything in particular?" Spike said looking at Silver. "Uhhh.... Just anything that has to do with magic and history." Silver said bluntly.
Spike and Twilight had been wandering around the library pulling books out one by one. there was only a small stack of 4-5 books on a table nearby. When suddenly a knock at the door was heard. "Well I think those are a good few books for you Silver. If you need anymore feel free to cone back!" She said speaking at Silver who was sitting in the corner of the room by himself just staring at books fly around left and right.
"Oh hey Fluttershy!..... Yes Twilight's right here come on in." Spike said speaking to someone outside the door. Just as Silver was about to walk towards the books a yellow pony with a pink mane and tail walk in holding a book in her mouth and setting it on the table where Silver's books were. "oh. Th-thank you so much for letting me borrow this book on ravens Twilight. It really helped me out. they're such sweet creatures when you get to know them." She had a soft but pleasant voice. Silver couldn't help but stare at her until realizing he would look rude as he turned red shaking his head and walking towards his books. "I'm sorry to have taken your time Twilight. Are these the books I'll be taking?" Silver said quickly to try and avoid eye contact with the Pink maned mare. "Actually since your an alicorn." Twilight said. "There's one more book I want you to read. I'll be back. Get acquainted with my friend Fluttershy while your waiting!" She said quickly running upstairs. He heard rummaging through cabinets as he sat there quietly still avoiding eye contact with Fluttershy. "Umm.... Ar-are you new here?...." She said quietly looking at him. "Yes..... I am... The names Silver. Pleasure to meet you." He said staring at the books. She had walked closer to him getting close to his face. But not staring at him directly. Stating at his horn. "Oh my.... That's a very lovely horn you have." She said blushing a little. "If you don't mind me saying... It's a very nice color of pure white..." Silver was slightly red at how close she had been but stayed quiet muttering a "Thank you." As Fluttershy smiled warmly offering a hug and just as Twilight came back downstairs Silver sighed and thought "Finally."
"Here Silver. This is for you." Twilight said with a fairly large book that was titled "Mistics and Magics" as she set it down with the other 5 books. "And don't worry about paying. These you can have until your done with them" She said. Suddenly it hit Silver rather quickly. What was money around here? And how would he get around without it? "Thanks Twilight I really appreciate it." Silver said with a smile. He quickly picked up the books setting them on his back. "Why don't you just levitate the books with you?" Twilight said puzzled. "Uhh...." Silver said quickly thinking of something to say. "Ohhh I see.... You must have forgotten how to even do the simplest of spells?" Silver quickly nodded in agreement sighing. "That's alright. Just read those books and it'll help you im sure." Twilight said smiling. "Thank you." He said nodding to both of the mares and walked out with relief in his heart that there were such nice ponies around.
While Silver went around. He soon found himself lost in Ponyville. Trying to find a way around before ramming into a wagon full of apples. "owww." Silver said falling back as his books fell as well.
"Oh ahm mighty sorry 'bout that pardner." A large red stallion spoke walking up to Silver. He had a brownish type mane and tail and had what looked like a large harness over his neck.
"Ah hope I didn't interrupt anything" He said in a strong yet bland voice. "My name is Big Macintosh but ya'll can call me Big Mac."
"It's fine... it's fine." Silver said picking up the scattered books around him. "Allow me to help you with that friend." Big Mac said picking up 2 of the books and placing them carefully on Silvers back. "Pardon me for askin' this. But your new here arntcha?" He said. "Yes I am Big Mac. Now if you will excuse me I have to find a job and perhaps a place to sleep for the night..." Big Mac smiled at this. "Do ya mind what kind of work ya'll do?" "No. I just need a job that will pay fairly well." Silver replied quickly. "Well if ya need a place 'ta sleep and a job ta pay we would be happy to have extra hooves around." Big Mac said with a firm voice. Silver pondered for a moment. "Working at a farm?.... Hmm.... I suppose it's better than nothing...." Silver looked at Big Mac and nodded "Very well I will lend a..... hoof." Big Mac smiled again. "Come over here and help me out with this cart then will ya?" He said.
Silver nodded and walked with Mac to the front of the cart and Mac strapped the cart onto Silver taking his books to hold onto them for him. Mac must have thought Silver was pretty well build if he gave him the cart to pull. Silver saw how many apples were in the cart and suggested it would have been the heaviest thing ever to pull for a pony.
He was thankful he was wrong. That or he must have been stronger due to being an alicorn. He didn't want to question it. He felt happy being able to help and not have much trouble pulling it. "So Silver. If you don't mind me asking. Where did ya'll come from? Ahm afraid I have never seen an alicorn around here beside the princesses. And even so the princesses don't have a horn such as yourself. Quite a sight to see." Silver proceeded to tell Big Mac the same story he told Twilight. While Big Mac just walked along quietly listening. "Really now?" He said. "Ahm mighty sorry to hear that. I do hope that your memory comes back. And you can remember everything before." He said with sympathy in his voice. "Hey Big Mac.... where are we headed anyway?" Silver said looking down a dirt road they were walking along some ways out of the town. "Were walking down 'ta the farm partner. Sweet Apple Acres. That's where you'll be staying and working. You'll also be able to meet mah dear sisters Applebloom and Applejack." Silver nodded and a question popped into his head. "Also.... If you don't mind me asking... These marks... what are they for?" Gesturing to his own and Macs flanks. "Well golly how much of yer memory did ya lose?" Big Mac laughed. "Their cutie marks friend. their something that everypony has when they find their special talent. As you can see mines an apple. Mah whole family has cutie marks related to apples. Well almost all of em. Applebloom is till trying ta find her special talent. she's what ya wanna call a blank flank." Silver nodded at how informative and helpful Big Mac was.
"Your cutie mark has me puzzled pardner... What is it?" Mac said staring at his cutie mark. Silver shrugged. "I guess I dont really remember...." "Ahm sure it'll come back to ya eventually" Big Mac replied cheerfully. "Ah. Here we are. Sweet Apple Acres."
It was quite a sight to see. Apple trees as far as the eye could see. They were beautiful. They were an amazing green with rich and plump looking apples. They looked delicious and Silver could feel his stomach growling. There was much land almost all of it filled with amazingly green and healthy grass. There was also dirt that looked as though it had recently been plowed and looked very level. There had also been what looked like a shed and a large house nearby. Silver never thought he would see a place as lovely as this. This one area was so strange from the destroyed future he was from. "This farm.... It's amazing Mac.... Beautiful even!" Big Mac laughed. "Generations of ponies friend." He said "Anyway. Let's get you settled in." He said as they walked through a large gate. Big Mac had taken the harness off of Silver and given him back the books. "Go inside and talk to mah sister Applejack. She'll get ya'll settled in." He said as he took the cart down to the shed.
Silver had wandered down to the house and knocked on the door unsure what to expect. And just as he was about to look through a window he saw the door open and a orange pony with a yellow mane and tail both looking as though they have been tied opened the door.
"Well howdy sugar cube! What brings ya'll down to these parts? Golly I ain't never seen your type around here. Come on in! Mah names Applejack!"
"Uhh.... My names Silver... Big Mac sent me over here to tell miss Applejack that I will be staying here for a while to work and just to bunk." Applejack smiled at this. "Really now? Ah must say that it's rare we find someone such as yourself 'round these parts. Come on in hon." She said moving to the side and moving her hoof gesturing him inside. "We have ah couch that comes out that you could sleep on." She said smiling as Silver walked in. "Do you as well have a place where I could place these books?" He said walking into a rather large living room with a couch in one of the corners. "Of course darlin' just use that there desk to settle your books down and take a rest if ya'll need it." Silver set his books down as Applejack pulled the bed out from the couch and fixing the sheets up. "Well that should settle that. If ya'll need anything just hollar." She said walking off. "The ponies here are so kind..." He said speaking to himself setting the books on the desk but keeping the book Mistics and Magics. "I should read this one first..." He said as he grabbed it with his teeth walking back outside and looking for a nice spot to read.
Silver soon walked outside and looked around the farm for a nice quiet spot to read. He noticed there was a nearby tree he was able to sit under and read. He and set the book down and started to open the first page to the Table of Contents. "So there are some pretty good chapters in here... Basic spells... Advanced spells... Hell theres even trick spells in here!" Silver said as he started to turn the pages to the basic spells parts. "So these are how levitate things!" Silver said in excitement as he saw a picture of a young pont being able to lift up a rock almost twice her size. "Okay!" Silver said as he looked up at the tree spotting a couple of apples to test out this ability on. Silver looked at the apple and clearing his mind managed to feel a small amount of power flow through his head as the apple started to get a faint glow of white on it. "Hey! Im doing it!" Silver said happily as he managed to bring the apple off the tree and plop it on his hoof that he had extended to reach for it. "Wow... That was a lot easier than I expected...." Silver said biting into the juicy apple smiling at his accomplishment. "But maybe... I can do more..." Silver said looking back at the tree and seeing there were still many apples in it. He alsop noticed a large wooden bucket placed nearby. "Maybe they pick these apples? Perhaps I could try to help.." Silver said slightly unconfident in his ability. As he looked back up at the tree he started to focus on just the apples in the tree as they all started to glow white. With little trouble at all he managed to pick all the apples off at once and place them neatly in the large wooden bucket. "Yes! I did it!!" Silver said Jumping for joy and falling back on the grass smiling widely. "That was so much easier than I thought.... And... I feel like i could do so much more.." Silver said sighing happily. He was relieved that he found confidence in himself as he turned over ad flipped to the pages of the book soon reaching the "Advanced Spells" of it.
Silver finally after almost all night had almost finished reading the book. He was amazed at all the neat little tricks he found himself able to do now. And he was nearly done with the last chapters of the "Tricks" part of it. But after a good nights rest Silver found himself awoken by a small little filly with a cute little bow on her mane standing on his stomach. "Well good morning!" She said very happy and with a big smile on her face. "Mah big brother told me we had somepony new stayin' with us but ah didn't believe him cuz I didn't see anypony new here! But now I have and I just wanted to give you a great big welcome from the apple family!" She said hopping on his stomach. "So get yerself out of bed so we can treat ya to a happy apples family breakfast!" Silver felt his stomach as it growled at the thought of food. He hadn't eaten since that apple yesterday and it only made him hungrier. "Alright. Alright.." Silver said slightly laughing as Applebloom hopped off of his stomach dashing to the kitchen. "My big sister and brother are already waiting for you! You slept in a little more than you should have!" She said before disappearing behind the wall. "Slept in?" Silver thought "How preposterous! I have never slept in before!" He said as he looked over at a clock seeing that it was nearly 10. "Well now... I guess I must have been more tired than I thought..." He said getting out of bed and he levitated the book with him as he trotted into the kitchen. He breathing in and his stomach had growled at him more than a starving dog. The smell of pancakes and sausages filled the air and he saw Big Mac sitting at the table with a plate filled with pancakes as well as Applebloom sitting as well and 2 more empty seats. Silver saw that Applejack had 2 more plates filled and set them down as she sat and looked over at Silver smiling. "Mornin' sleepy head! Glad your finally up. Big Mac was just about ta go savage on us for makin him wait to eat his breakfast!" Silver looked over at Big Mac as he intensely stared at his plate. Silver smiled and laughed a little as he set his book on the counter and sat down at the table as they all started to chow down on the food. Silver found that his hunger took over and that he found himself levitating the pancakes as he took a huge bite out of it devouring nearly half of it. It tasted strangely of apples but melted in his mouth as though it was like butter. He let out a small little "mmmmmmm" as he finished up the last of his pancakes and levitating a glass of apple juice to wash it all down. "Well that was absolutely delicious!" Silver said as we walked went over towards his book and picking it up. I hope you don't mind but I would really like to finish the rest of this book before I get to work today!" He said as Bg Mac mearly smiled and gestured to the door as he was finishing up his stack of pancakes. Silver nodded and smiled as he walked out the door and walked over to another shady tree. The smell of apples filled the air and the air smelled fresh and clean. It was so much better than smelling burning ember.
Silver finally managed to sit down and open the book to the last few chapters of the book titled "Special Tricks and Special Ponies" At this Silver smiles and began to finish the book.
Silver had finally finished reading the book that Twilight had let him borrow. He had successful mastered almost all the tricks in that book. And now that he had finished getting the hang of magic (Which was quite ease due to him being an alicorn) it was time to start getting his share in work. And pay. Big Mac had soon finished his meal and went outside to tell Silver what his job was. "Well you see." He started. "We have a problem with some of the clouds around here. Were afraid some of the darker ones will be raining down on the land. Normally that would be a good thing but we haven't finished plowing everything yet. So ah need you to fly up there and move all the clouds away from here." Silvers heart sank hearing this. He didn't know how to fly. He didn't even know how to expand his wings. But Silver reluctantly smiled and tried to udder the words "No problem..."
Big Mac nodded and turned around before looking back at Silver. "Don't worry if you think it's to much for you to handle. Rainbow Dash will be here soon to help you out. She's another pegasus." He said before leaving Silver.
Silver soon tried to steady his nerves. "Okay.... Flying... I was able to do it before... I gotta be able to do it again...." He said trying to get his own hopes up. He tried for almost 2 whole minutes to just get his wings untucked but with no success. He was getting worried thinking he wasn't going to be able to hold up his part of the deal. That is until he saw a peculiar figure in the sky. It was quick and had a rainbow trail behind it. It also uddered out the words "Rainbow Dash is here to help!!" At this Silver felt his face go red. He realized how stupid he was going to look not being able to fly. As he saw the figure approach he saw that it was yet another mare. Short rainbow mane and tail. She was blue and Silver was able to see she had the cutie mark of a rainbow lightning bolt and a cloud above it. "Woh..." She said staring at Silver as she flew closer to him staring at him. "So your that new alicorn everypony is talking about. Well I hope you know who I am!" She said expecting some sort of red carpet. Silver only shook his head. "Dangit... I was hoping my fame was growing.. My name is Rainbow Dash! Fastest flier in all of Ponyville! Maybe even Equestria!" She exclaimed. "My name is Silver. And uhh... I suppose you have heard of me...?" "Well of course! I think you might be the most talked about pony around here so far. Makes me kinda jealous actually... But I think it's just because we haven't seen an alicorn like YOU ever!" Rainbow replied. "It's pretty rare an alicorn comes to Ponyville but an alicorn with a horn like that must be special you know?" She said. "Anyway. Enough about that. We should probably get to work now. Let's go!" She said flying off as Silver sat there looking at the ground slightly red at the embarrassment. Rainbow Dash turned around and called out towards Silver. "Hey what are you doing? Get those wings flapping let's go!" "I can't...." Silver said quietly. "I.... Don't remember how...." He said getting quiet. "What do you mean you don't remember?" Dash said sounding slightly annoyed. "Boy your strange." She said as she flew down landing next go Silver as he had explained everything he did to Big Mac and Twilight. "Well that's pretty strange I gotta say... But a flightless alicorn is of no use. You gotta learn how to use those wings again Silver. Otherwise you could be the laughing stock of the whole town!" She said as a smile spread across her face at this thought. Silver looked at her slightly annoyed giving her that "Haha very funny" look. "Ok ok. Flying is easy Silver. All you have to do is just let yorself feel the extension of your wings." Rainbow said as she expanded her wings. They looked nice and had measured up to her size. Silver stood up and decided he would try as well. He tried feeling to movement of his own body. His front hooves, his back hooves, his stomach, and his back, and the magic in his horn and head. He pictured himself in the air flying gracefully yet fast and nimbly. He opened his eyes and soon after he felt his wings shoot open. They were fairly sized up to match Silvers size as Rainbow Dash let out a short "wow." And at this Silver smiled widely. "Well now that you got the hang of that." Dash said. "Your gonna have to start flapping." She said as she started to flap her wings and uplift herself a little above Silvers head. "Flapping... right..." He said looking at his wings slowly moving them trying to find a steady beat to flap them at. To Silvers surprise he was actually flapping. But not getting anywhere off the ground.Rainbow Dash let out a laugh at Silver. "Ok your wings can't do ALL the work you know. You have to help it out too! Your body has to share the work when flying otherwise you could end up crashing." She said and she started flying around in circles around Silver as though she was examining him.
"I can do this... " Silver thought to himself. "I just won't give up..." He said as he continues to flap as he jumped up in the air and hovering for some time. "Ha! I did it! I did it!" Silver said with a great big smile on his face as he kept rising slowly keeping his mind steady on not falling. He looked down and saw that he was quite some ways off the ground and he was close to the top of the apple tree.
Rainbow Dash let out a sigh of relief as she saw Silver not crashing into anything. "Well now that you got the flying part down. Here comes the tricky part. We gotta start moving these clouds." She said flying closer to him. "But.... How are we going to move the clouds?.. Wouldn't we just go right through them?" Silver asked a little puzzled. "Well to a unicorn and an earth pony maybe." Rainbow Dash replied. "Beut to Pegasus and alicorns it's not a problem at all!" She said flying over to a cloud. "Come here I'll show you." Silver tried to make his way over to Rainbow Dash. He was a little wobbly moving foward and nearly fell down as he saw Rainbow Dash with a huge smile on her face as though she was waiting for him to fall. Silver blushed up a little. Gathered himself and moved to Dash with no trouble. "Ok." Dash started. "When you see these dark clouds you gotta give it a kick. But you have to put force into the kick or you'll just end up pushing the cloud or making water come out of it. And that's not what we want." She said. "Need an example?" She said looking at Silver as he seemed to have a look of 'I have no clue what's going on.' "Yes... Please." Silver said looking at Dash as she prepared herself. She turned around and with her back legs let a mighty buck to the cloud as it poorer into small clouds and into nothing. Silver opened his eyes wide at this. "Amazing..." He said. Dash laughed a smiled a little. "Now it's your turn." She said as they flew over to another dark cloud. "Remember." She said "Not to little force or else it'll just fly off and let water out. And Big Mac doesn't want that." Silver nodded at her and looked at the cloud. He stared at it intensely and then turned and readied himself to buck it.
Silver had kicked the cloud with some force trying not to use all his energy and as he turned around he saw the cloud poof into smaller clouds and then nothing. He smiled as though he accomplished something big. "Not bad. Not bad at all. Im hoping you didn't use all your force on it though. You only use all that for the bigger clouds around here." She said. "Don't worry. I suspected as much and didn't." Silver said nodding. "Great! Then let's get these clouds out of here!" She said with a big smile on her face.
It was almost sundown when they finally managed to finish the work Big Mac gave them. Silver and Dash were kicking up the last few clouds. And as Silver kicked up the last of the clouds he let out a sigh of relief. "Hey Dash I think were done here!" Silver said calling out to Rainbow Dash but with no response. "Hey Dash?!" Silver called again. He sighed thinking that Dash had left as soon as the job was done. He had wanted to thank her for helping him but guessed she didn't really care. Just as Silver was about to fly back down he saw another cloud that was sitting there amongst the others. "Oh your a sneaky cloud arncha?" Silver said flying over to it. "No clouds can escape from me though! The all might Silver! Cloud destroyer!" He laughed at this and turned ready to buck the tree.
Just as he was ready to buck it though the cloud exploded into a puff of nothingness and Dash popped out yelling "AHA!!" As she jumped on his back and grabbed him by the neck. At this Silver nearly jumped out of his skin and and freaked out. He lost control of his wings and started plummeted to the ground. Silver closed his eyes and and his horn started to glow as a white protective bubble surrounded the ponies as they hit the ground and landed in a pile of hay nearby. "Well jeez what did you have to go and do that for?!" Silver said clenching his chest as though he had a panic attack. Rainbow Dash was to busy laughing at how Silver reacted "You shoulda seen your face!" She said laughing uncontrollably. Silver nearly threw some hay at her turning a little red as they jumped out the hay stack and walked towards a large apple tree. "So... What's it like to be a Pegasus Rainbow Dash?... I would like to know..." Silver said as he used his magic thisbis pluck off two apples from the tree and gave one to her and one for himself. "I love being a Pegasus!" She exclaimed happily. "There isn't anything I would rather be! We get to live life in Cloudsdale and help with the weather around Ponyville. And there are a lot of other cool Pegasai around too!" She said. "Cloudsdale? Where is that?" Silver asked curiously. "It's just above some of the clouds in Ponyville. If a little far flight but very worth it." She said as she began to explain life there and how the weather was made and talked about how she planned to join the Wonderbolts one day.
It was sundown as the two talked for quite a while. "Well I'm glad I was able to meet you today miss Rainbow Dash. I really appreciate the help you gave me today." Silver said smiling warmly. "It really helped." Dash had just smiled and said "Anytime. As long as one day you get fast enough to try and race me! I would love to beat an alicorn in a race!" She said grinning widely laughing. Silver mearly looked at her and laughing alongside her. "It's a deal. But don't expect an easy win." Silver said.
At this Dash looked back up at the clouds and back at Silver. "See ya around!" She said as she trotted to him and hugged him and flew off. Silver sighed happily seeing as how he made a new friend and trotted back to the house to rest up and collect his pay.
Silver had slowly opened his eyes. It was early in the morning. Around 7 to be exact. and Everything seemed very quiet. Silver took this time to brush up on his book of Equestria's history. He managed to get quite a bit of knowledge about the world of Equestria. Such as learning about Celestia and Luna. Also learning about Nightmare Moon which worried him slightly. He also had read about in some of the other books about something called the Elements of Harmony which had him interested in learning there were 6 of them. "The Elements of Harmony were used to lock Nightmare Moon away. there were six used by Princess Celestia who had passed them down to 6 other ponies. These elements were Kindness, Laughter, Honesty, Loyalty, Generousity, and a secret 6th element still unknown to the ponies... So... These were used to lock away Nightmare Moon.... I might have to ask Twilight about this later." Silver said as he closed up the final book.
Just as he had finished Silver climbed out of bed and was getting ready to start his day before Applejack had trotted in. "Oh hey! Ahm glad your awake already." She said. "I have a favor to ask. Fluttershy needs a couple of apples for some of her animals and I was wonderin' if ya'll would like to go and take em for me. Ah got the trees to buck and Big Macintosh is going out to the market today to sell apples." "Uhhh..... Sure." Silver said nodding politely. "But I have no clue where she lives..." Don't worry none to much about it suger cube. She lives not to far out from Ponyville. In fact you'd be able to spot her house a mile away." Applejack explained. At this Silver shrugged and agreed as Applejack grabbed a saddle with two bags on each side filled with apples and strapped it on his back. "Ya'll just come back when yer done." She said as they walked outside together. "And be gentle with the dear. She's just so shy." Silver nodded as he began flying up towards Ponyville before running into Rainbow Dash. "Oh hey Silver!" She said passing by. "Where are you off to?" She said curiously looking at the saddle bags on Silver.
"I'm off to deliver these to a miss Fluttershy." He spoke. "She needs em for her animals apparently." "Oh. Alright well do you know where she lives? Or do you need someone to guide you?" She said asking nicely. "No I think I'll be able to find my way." He said politely smiling. "Alright then. Good luck!" She said as they began flying in different directions.
Silver had landed back in the center of Ponyville at around 8. Not many ponies were awake it seemed as it was still a little quiet. Silver had been looking around for any unique tree looking houses besides the library as Applejack had explained to him. "Great.... Maybe I should have accepted that guide Dash offered..." Silver said before flying back up and looking around.
It was another good 10 minutes of flying before Silver finally managed to find a nicely decorated tree shaped house. Silver had landed in front of it examining it closely. It had quite a lot of white small flowers and grass all over it as the sun reflected off the house fairly nicely. Silver approached the door hoping he hadn't arrived too early as he slowly knocked on the door.
Shortly after a small little rabbit appeared staring at Silver. More specifically, at his horn. Silver stared at the rabbit back as he was unsure what to say. "Uhhh.... Is a miss..... Fluttershy here?...." He said sounding completely stupid talking to a rabbit. But to his amazement the rabbit gestured for Silver to come inside and keep his voice down. As he walked inside he could hear voices from outside. It sounded as though someone was talking to themselves. But he didn't really care too much. Silver just wanted to get this done as he was following the rabbit outside to an extremely large backyard.
It was the most beautiful scenery Silver had ever seen. There were animals everywhere running around carefree and happy. There was fresh clean in a pond where a couple of frogs were as some deer were lapping water from it. There were tree's that looked so very pretty with flowers in them and fruit that some birds were pecking at eating happily. Silver had never seen anything like it. He was astonished.
"Oh... H-hello Silver..." Said a familiarly soft voice coming from behind him. "I hope my animals arnt bugging you..." Fluttershy said walking out of the house with a bird on her back. "I'm sorry I didn't answer the door... I was nursing this poor little baby bird's wing back up." She said as the bird flew off of her back and nuzzled Fluttershy flying off to be with the other birds of it's kind.
"Wow Fluttershy... I didn't know your house was so... Amazing..." Silver said at a loss of words still looking at the many animals. "Th-thank you...." She said blushing a little at the compliment. "I work hard to keep the animals happy here... And we prepared a welcoming for you as well." She said quietly smiling. "A surprise? for me?... Well.. I don't really like surprises that much to be honest..." Silver said reluctantly. "Oh... Please Silver?.... The birds and I worked so hard..." Fluttershy started to droop her ears and stare Silver in the eyes. Silver wasn't heartless. And the face she had made was so unbearable he finally gave in and said "Alright alright... Fine...."
"Oh goodie...!" Fluttershy said grabbing Silver's hoof and pulling him to a small tree that had several birds on it. "Please just sit there and enjoy what we put together for you..." She said smiling and turning to look at the birds as she started to hum a sweet little melody and the birds slowly started to chirp in one by one.

It was a beautiful song sung by the birds and Fluttershy. They had sung so perfectly in sync that Silver couldn't help but have his jaw drop. He never thought that animals could be tamed to sing as well as they did. And Fluttershy with her well toned and soft humming constructing the birds Silver couldn't help but slowly applaud as Fluttershy blushed and giggled. "I-I hope you liked it... We had been working on it since I first met you. We didn't really get off on the right way.. So.." She looked away a little bit. "A-side I asked Applejack if she could convince you to come visit me somehow...."
At this Silver realized that Applejack didn't need him to bring apples at all. It was just a trick. Although very clever Silver thought as he smiled and untied the satchels on his sides and laid them down. "So I guess.... You didn't actually need apples at all?" He said as he pulled one out of the bag chewing on it. Fluttershy had blushed again and shook her head. "No... I didn't... But I am happy she was able to get you to come see me." She said smiling. Silver couldn't help but smile as well. He didn't take a second look at Fluttershy. She seemed somewhat lonely to him. But with a good heart. And he regret being to quick to judge. "Actually" Silver thought to himself. "Maybe I should take a second look at these ponies.... It seems I was very hesitant and judged them very quickly." He sighed and smiled at Fluttershy as he saw her feeding some of the birds. She seemed to cared a lot about animals and he respected that. "Hey Fluttershy!" Silver started. "Maybe I could help you out with some of the animals?" He asked as he flew up to a small frog that was staring at him back with beady black eyes.
"Oh. If you don't mind I'm sure the animals would love a new face feeding them." She said with a smile as she trotted over to silver handing him a slice of what appeared to be a peach. "Just give this to one of the deer." She said as Silver used his magic to slowly hover the peach to a small deer that looked up to him with big eyes. He didn't seem scared of Silver at all. In fact he even walked up to Silver quite happily taking the peach slice from him and hugging him before walking back to his patch of grass.
"Wow Silver have you taken care of animals before?" Fluttershy said giggling a little. Silver thought about it. Hmm.... Maybe me being a hedgehog still rubs off on the other animals... "Uhhh... I might have delt with animals before.. Maybe.. If I could remember.." He said as he sat back under a shady tree putting his front hooves behind his head and throwing one leg over the other. Fluttershy finished feeding some fish in a pond and flew over to Silver sitting next to him. "I appreciate that you have the ability to coax animals like I do... It's not something many ponies can do.." She said slightly blushing. "It's nice to know someone else cares for the animals like me."
Silver sighed happily as he looked at now almost setting sun as he and Fluttershy had been talking for what felt like hours. Luckily Silver was able to talk about some things of his past without revealing to much. He managed to talk about Blaze to Fluttershy telling her that he was deviated after her "departure" as Fluttershy sat there uttering a sad "oh.."
"Well.... I think I should be off before the Apple Family locks me out for the night." Silver said with a chuckle and he stood up dusting himself off. "Oh.. Well... Umm... Maybe... If you want to... You could spend the night here... I wouldn't mind..." Flutters said getting a little quiet hiding her face behind her hair. "Oh.... Well.... I mean...." Silver was hesitant as he looked up at the sun which was now nearly gone but in a beautiful sunset. "I.... I guess if you really don't mind..." Silver said reluctantly.
They had walked inside as Silver threw himself onto Fluttershy's couch and let out a sigh of relief as he closed his eyes. it was so soft compared to the bed he was sleeping on in the Apple family household. "Umm... Silver.... You know.... It would be much more comfortable if you.... Slept... Upstairs.... With....me... if that's.....ok....." She said getting now very quiet. However Silver managed to hear this last part as he felt the color flush from his face and his eyes shoot open as he slowly turned to look at Flutters who was slightly red from having told him this.
Silver wasn't sure if she was serious but as he slowly walked towards the stairs she smiled a small smile and they both walked upstairs together.
It was early morning when Silver awoke. He found his hoof around Fluttershy's waist as she was sleeping peacefully with a smile on her face. Still not sure if she believed last night really happened or not he didn't want to question it. He was falling for Fluttershy. Something Silver never took a look at was love. And being a pony must have given him a second chance to live a good life. He smiled a little. Silver tried to slowly remove his hoof from her side as she quickly put her hoof over his and opened one eye slowly. "Silver....?" She said. "Don't leave already...." She said as she closed her eye and dropped her hoof falling sound asleep again.
Silver crawled out the he'd trying to be as quiet as possible as he looked and saw the same rabbit who was hopping around everywhere have a pillow on his head as though he was trying to sleep all night. Silver smiled a little as he slowly walked downstairs and out the front door. He felt bad for just leaving her there. But he needed to return the books go Twilight as well as ask her a couple of questions. He quickly flew off back to the Apple family house to retrieve the books.
Silver was thankful he was able to make it there before anyone else woke up. Must have been pretty early. He heard Applejack snoring from upstairs as well as Big Mac and surprisingly Applebloom. They were quite loud. But Silver was glad as he quickly managed to grab his books put them in the saddle bags and quickly slipped back outside flying back to Ponyville towards Twilight's library.
No ponies were out and Silver heard noises coming from inside Twilight's tree when he got there. He put his ear to the door and listened as pages were being turned and books were clattering. "Uhhh.... Not really sure I should be here...." Silver thought and walked in anyway. Twilight was deep in her studies with Spike trying to stack books away. "Spiiiike! Be careful!" Twilight groaned as she turned and saw Silver. "Oh! Hello Silver!" She said as she was moving some books around.
"Hey Twilight.. I uhh... Finished those books.. " Silver said ducking to avoid getting hit by passing by books as he took out the books he was given. "I really learned a lot about this place and the history. And the spell book you gave me really helped me out too!" He said smiling as Twilight opened her mouth. "Oh! I'm glad you read it! I hope that you found some of those spells useful. Were you able to successfully do any of them? I know you have the memory problem but-"
"Oh no! I guess I have a knack for magic or something. I was able to do almost every single spell in that book with ease!" He said as his horn glowed as he teleported upstairs in a flash of light. "And I was really glad too! It saved me the time of trying to train! He said as he disappeared in another flash of light and was once again in front of Twilight.
"Wow. I'm glad you were able to learn them so quickly. It took me weeks to get those spells learned. I still get tired sometimes when I use them." She said. "I had a good feeling about you. Especially when I saw your horn. I thought that might have had a difference. I was so excited I even wrote a letter to the princess last night!"
"A letter to the princess..? You know the princess?" Silver said sounding a bit shocked. "Of course! I'm her star pupil! I have been training under her since I was just a filly!" Twilight responded sounding proud. "Uhh.... Twilight?.. I think the princess migh-" Spike said sounding a little woozy as he burped a green flame out and landed on his stomach. "The princess replied...." He finished.
Twilight seemed very eager as she opened up, what looked like a scroll, and began to read it aloud. "Dear Twilight, I am pleased to hear you have met a new friend. But to hear he is an alicorn is a bit of a shock. And while I don't doubt you as my pupil I would like for you and your friends to bring along your 'Silver' for a week stay here at the castle. I have sent for a carriage and it should be there shortly. Sincerely, Princess Celestia. Well this is quite an honor! You get to meet the princess Silver!" Silver was not sure what to say as he had never met a princess before. He was slightly worried and before opening his mouth to try and object he heard horses from outside and someone knocked knocked on the door.
Shortly after the arrival of Tue carriage Twilight and the six of her friends were all happily chatting about getting go meet the princess once again for a while. Silver saw as the four horses pulling the carriage stared at him with disbelieving eyes and tried to avert their gaze as Silver annoyingly looked back at them. He has climbed into the carriage with the other 6 as they were happily discussing to each other what they were going to do when they got there as Silver sat at the far corner next to a window in the carriage and looked out as they began flying away from Ponyville.
Silver was quiet nearly the whole trip. He was unsure what to say or even think besides what he was going go say if he began getting questioned on how he arrived or what he was even doing here. "Silver." Applejack broke his thought as she clapped her hooves together. "You've been quiet almost the entire trip. You alright sugercube?" she said as everyone turned to look at him. "Uhh.... Yea.. I'm fine don't even worry about me. I'm just... Gathering my thoughts..." He said as he looked back out the window. "Oh there is nothing to worry about!" Twilight said enthusiastically. "The princess is so nice. And I'm sure she'll be happy to know there is another alicorn out there."
Before Silver could reply Silver heard a "wohhhh!" from outside as the door opened and he jumped out to see he had arrived at a large castle with guards everywhere. "Welcome!" A greeter had said as he looked at Silver "The princess... ahh... was expecting you seven. Most him I'm sure.... But please Twilight you have been here before! Why don't you show the newcommer to the princess! I have to get your rooms ready!" He said as he dashed off before Twilight could reply.
"Alright Silver. I hope you have prepared yourself!" Twilight said as she turned to look at him as they stood in front of a huge door. "Try not to do anything foolish and answer any and all questions the princess has!" She sad smiling. Silver nodded as he turned and saw everyone else with a big smile on their faces. He turned around again as Twilight had pushed open the door and shouted out "Princess Celestia!" All the others ran ahead of Silver as they all were talking quickly and at once. Silver realized they were a bit smaller than the princess. She was, In fact, One of the most unique looking ponies he had seen. She had a beautifully rainbow colored mane which was flowing. She had a horn and wings he was able to see and as he slowly approached she had the marking of the sun on her side. Silver read about this and said to himself "She must be the one who raises the sun.... Huh..." Silver then shook his head quickly when a quick "Hello." Was aimed towards him when he saw the six ponies all looking up at Celestia with a big smile on his face. Silver couldn't find it in himself to really look her in the eye as he looked slightly down and let out a "Hello." back.
"So. You're the new friend Twilight wrote to me about I assume?" She said raising an eyebrow and she walked over towards him. Silver was only slightly smaller than her but he still found himself looking up to her. "Uhmm... Y-yes... I suppose.." Silver replied coughing into his hoof. She eyed him suspiciously for a moment. She was examining him. Silver could feel her eyes scanning him. Then.
She giggled.
"Is... There something funny princess?" Silver said trying not to sound rude. "Well I am just amazed that there is a real life breathing alicorn before my very eyes. LUNA! COME AND SEE THAT HE IS REAL!" She shouted as yet another pony turned the corner of the room. She was dark blue. She had the mark of the moon on her side and her mane was flowing a dark blue. She approached Silver. And once again Silver could few her eyes examining him. "Well now.." Luna said. "This is quite a surprise. It is an honor to meet you Silver." She said as both Luna and Celestia bowed their heads. Silver was unsure what to say as he bowed back. "Now then." Celestia said. "Why don't you all get settled in. I'm sure you all would like to rest up a bit as we called you here a little early." They all nodded. "Oh I must simply get some sleeping wear before we head off!" Rarity said as she walked out followed by the others. "And I'm starving!" Dash said flying out the door. "Actually I'm a bit hungry myself" Silver said.
"Hold on Silver. My sister and I would like to talk to you for a moment." Celestia said. Silver tried to hold back groaning as his hunger was getting to him. "Sorry Silver...." Twilight said." We'll see you later?" She said as the doors closed shut behind her.
Silver turned around to look at the two princesses who were now looking at Silver with a serious face. "We have never seen or heard of an alicorn such as yourself Silver." Luna spoke up as the approached him slowly. Silver felt himself backing up a little as he hit the door. "O-oh?... Well that's... A shame... I didn't even know that there were others like me as well... ehehe...." He said getting worried.
"We have a few questions we want to ask you Silver." Celestia said as Silver felt magic surrounding his body as he was being lifted into the air. "And we want the truth." Both said with a smile no longer on their faces.
"Th-the truth....? I-I mean... Wh-what do you mean by that?" Silver somehow squeaked out. He felt the magic around his body squeezing him tight. But it gave him a strange tingly feeling.
"You know what we mean." Celestia said setting Silver back down. "I think all three of us know you aren't from around here. My sister Luna and myself are the only two alicorns left. And not to mention no other pony in all of Equestria has a horn such as yourself. So explain." Silver felt his heart sink. Things were running so smooth for him. Somehow the Princesses had seen through him. Now what? He couldn't possible tell them that he came from another universe. They would probably have him killed. Or at least sent somewhere for crazy people.
"Sister. Maybe he is a changeling! He must be!" Luna said to her sister.
"Actually. It was me!" Said a strangely familiar voice. "I sent him here. He wished for it! He wanted a new life. And I granted it for him." A strange glowing ball of energy was floating from one of the windows. "Frack!" Silver shouted quickly and covered his mouth.
"Oh? You know who this is?" Celestia said looking at the ball. "Why yes. I am a cosmic being after all! I opened a portal that went from Silvers destroyed world. To here."
Celestia and Luna exchanged a glance of interest as the sat down and looked at Frack. Silver was also a little intrigued as he sat down to listen to Fracks tale.
"You see." He started. "I traveled the universe far and wide. Every now and again I tried to meet a being who was miserable. Alone. I thought I would be able to help them. Now I normally wouldn't be able to make a portal by myself. But after traveling for almost 3 centuries I found Silver here. He was powerful. I managed to borrow some of his power to open a portal here! To Equestria! Hoping I could help him start this 'New Life' he craved so much." He finished.
"So..." Silver said as he walked closer to the small little blue ball. "You grant... Wishes for people who have.. Problem like I did?... But... Why me?" Silver asked.
"Kid. You got a lot of talent. Remember those spells Twilight wanted you to read? The reason you were able to learn them so quickly was because of how used to it you are. That horn of yours. Has tremendous power. It's so powerful you can actually see the greenish glow coming from it. Not to mention the white looks quite amazing." Frack finished.
The princesses were speechless. Never before had they seen or heard of this before. "So... Tell us...." Celestia finally spoke up as the two were talking. "Who.. Or rather WHAT were you before you came here?"
Silver sighed. "Ok look.... If I tell you two.... I want you to promise... This is staying between all of us... This will never leave the room..."
They all nodded.
Silver soon began telling them about his adventures as a hedgehog. How he tried saving the future from Iblis. How he had nearly killed one of the greatest hero's as he was tricked by a foul shadow created called Mephiles. And how he had lost his best friend Blaze as she sacrificed herself to save the future.
The princesses were quiet. They gave an immense sigh as Silver finished his tale. "Well this is certainly strange day." Luna said. "I never expected it to happen... But... Well... Strange... Is all I can say...." Celestia stayed quiet. "I hope... I didn't do anything to mess this up... I really was hoping nothing bad would happen but... I suppose that didn't work out to well." Silver said.
Both Luna and Celestia only nodded. "We understand." They said. Celestia continued. "Please. This new life you want created. Stay where you would like here. But we want to keep you here at the castle for a few weeks. We would personally like to train you to see the full extent of your abilities." Silver felt a small smile spread across his face. "Oh thank you! Thank you!" He shouted as he ran up to them and hugged them both. "Yes well. Please settle down." Luna said with a smile as her and her sister turned to walk back to their quarters. "Please go find Twilight and the others. Your rooms should be ready so rest up should you feel the need." Celestia said.
Silver nodded as he turned to look at Frack. "Well where have you been mister?" He said trying to sound stern. "I was watching over you the whole time Silvs. You never left my sight heh." At this Silvers eyes shot open as he felt his face turn a little red. "Oh well that's just great to know..." He said sarcastically. "Well I hope you won't let that stop you from having fun. Hahaha! I'll be off Silvs! Ill see you again soon!" He said as he flew off to one of the windows and disappeared.
Silver shook his head and smiled a little. He was glad now he was able to spill his secret to at least some one who can keep it. "Maybe.... Things won't be so bad after all..." Silver said as he opened the door leading to the main courtyard as he left to his room.
And as he was leaving there was a familiar figure who stayed behind. Somone who was flying high in the corner just listening to private conversation the 4 had. "This.... Is just insane.... No way." She said as she flew off quickly and quietly behind Silver to confront him in his room.
As Silver was nearing his room he felt his stomach growl again. "Oh crap.... I never ate anything... Before resting up maybe I should go meet up with everyone else and go eat first." He nodded at himself and flew off to to a little restaurant where he spotted Fluttershy, Twilight, Pinkie, and Applejack. "Hey there guys!" Silver said as he landed next to them finding a seat.
"Well howdy there Silver! How'd the meeting with the princesses go?" Applejack said as she scooted over. "It went well. Better than expected actually! Princess Celestia and Luna want me to stay here to stay under direct order to train me in magic." He said smiling. "Wow! Celestia hardly takes anyone under her teachings. Well besides myself of course." Twilight said feeling proud. "You will learn great things! Celestia is great! Although I'm not too sure about Luna...." She said pondering.
Just as she was thinking a male waiter had come outside. "Thank you for choosing to eat at Chomp 'n Chow! May I take your order?" He said as he was using his magic to pull out a pad and pen. "I'll take the hay and steak combo please!" Twilight said.
Fluttershy squeaked.
"Oops! Sorry Flutters.... Ok... I'll just take a hay sandwich..." She said sheepishly grinning.
"m-make that two please..." Fluttershy chimed in.
"Aww what the hay! Make it three!" Applejack added.
"I guess it's four then!" Silver said smiling.
"Five! And a cake! and maybe some cupcakes. If you guys have any!" Pinkie said with a huge grin.
"And anything to drink?" He asked.
"Uhmm... We'll all just have a Cola please." Twilight said as he nodded and walked away.
"So where Dash and Rarity gone off to?" Silver asked.
"W-well... Rarity went off to go gather supplies for her new dress that she said she was going to make...." Fluttershy responded.
"And we lost Dash. She said she forgot something and left us faster than a pig to a dinner call." Applejack added.
"Oh..." Silver said as he scratches his ear. "Well I hope those two don't ditch out on us the whole day. Its starting to get better!" He said as the waiter came back with their sandwiches and sodas.
"Here you all are. Please enjoy!" He said as a little yellow glow surrounded each of the objects and was set down in front of them.
"Great Ahm starving!" Applejack said wasting no time to quickly pick it up and take a huge bite out of her sandwich. The rest stared at her and laughed as they all began eating as well.
They had been walking around the castle grounds talking for what seemed like hours. They had met up with Rarity on the way to the garden as she quickly shot them all a quick "hello!" and left.
"Well.... I think it's about time we should all get settled into our rooms." Twilight said as she stretched herself out.
"That's a good idea Twilight... We don't want to be busy arranging everything and not get any sleep.." Fluttershy added.
"Aww but were having so much fun!" Pinkie said sounding slightly disappointed.
"But Pinkie... Rest up now. And you'll have more time to party tomorrow!" Silver said smiling.
Pinkie gasped and hopped around happily. "You're right! Then we could all have a lot more fun!"
They all just laughed as they walked their separate ways. Silver felt his eyes a little droopy as he walked to his room before Rarity quickly ran in front of him and stopped him.
"Silver dear! Could you perhaps come to my room and help me out with something? I would greatly appreciate it!" She said batting her eyes. Silver was way to tempted to say no. But as tired as he was he nodded and followed her back to her room.
"Hey Rare... Whatever happened to Rainbow Dash? I haven't seen her all day." Silver said.
"Oh.. Err.... She is quite a busy Pegasus dear.. Celestia only KNOWS what goes through her head." She said as she opened the door to her room.
"Right...." Silver said as he walked in following her.
"So.. Uhh.... What is it that you wanted help with?" He said sitting down and flapping his hooves together.
"Actually." A voice from behind him spoke. "I needed help." The door quickly slammed shut as Silver heard flapping wings.
"Dash...?" He said turning around to see her not even smiling as she landed right in front of him. She looked at Rarity who nodded and disappeared into a puff of smoke.
"Woh wait a minute!" Silver shouted. Rainbow Dash nearly stuck her hoof over his mouth.
"I had Rarity make herself a clone. She was busy all day. I didn't have time to explain to her. So she just agreed to help me." She said.
"But... Why?" Silver asked with a puzzled look. Dash mearly turned around and spoke in a quiet voice.
"You know it would have been nice to know you weren't from here at all."
Silver felt his heart sink. He swallowed hard and he felt his throat go dry. "Wh-what?... What do you mean?.."
She turned around with an upset face. "You know what I mean!" She shouted at him. "You could have said you weren't from here at all but no! I had to find out like that?!"
Silver felt that shout. He could sense she was hurt. He couldn't describe how bad he felt. He didn't know what to say..
Then it hit him.
hard.
"Wait.... How did you even find out in the first place? The princess's and I had an agreement. No one was to speak a word of it. How is it that you know?" Silver stood up looking her in the eye.
She felt the rage leave her as it was her turn to feel awkward. "Well.. I-I kinda... stayed behind to wait for you!" She said defending herself.
"No you didn't. You didn't even tell the others where you were going. You just told them you forgot something!" Silver felt his voice raising.
Dash stayed quiet.
"What gave you the right to follow me?! You should have gone with the others and left be and my business alone! You didn't have to-"
"I WAS WORRIED!" She shouted back not letting him finish his sentence. "I saw how awkward you felt with the princesses and when I heard them talking about knowing the truth I couldn't help but stay!" She said "I might even like you okay! I never thought about it but spending that time with you at Sweet Apple Acres.. It was different than when I spend time with other ponies.... You seemed more carefree than the others. Normally I never get to relax and spend time with somepony and when I was able to finally it... It had to be with you... And... I don't know...." She said slapping her head with her hoof. "This is stupid why am I even telling you this." She said sounding irritated.
"Even if that's the case you still had no right to just intrude in a private conversation!" Silver said slightly getting a little quieter. "Now you know. And you can't let anyone know!" He said walking closer to her. "If you tell anyone Dash I won't be allowed here. Ponies will look at me different... I don't want that... I finally found... friends..." He looked down a little feeling bad for yelling.
He felt Dash put her hoof on his cheek as he looked up. She still had an upset look. but her cheeks were still a little shade or red. Silver wasn't sure what to think. But Dash slowly leaned in and kissed him closing her eyes and he could feel her tounge inside his mouth. It was passionate. and he was completely shocked and his face was beyond red.
As she pulled back he could feel a strand of saliva leading from the kiss as she wiped it off. Her face was still red but no longer angry. More embarrassed. Finally Silver managed to gather himself. He wiped his mouth and looked at Dash with a blank expression. "Goodnight." He said walking by her as she whispered goodnight back and Silver and he closed the door behind him
"Things just seem to find a way to keep going differently...." He said to himself as he flew back to his quarters to rest for the night.
"Wait.... I... I'm sorry..." Silver spoke in a low quiet voice. "I didn't know... I didn't mean to shout.... I didn't even expect to feel this way...." He said with his depression starting to get to him.
"No.... I knew it wouldn't work... And.... I know I'm not at all what would be in a normal Pegasus... I'm not all lovey dovey and.... A sap." Said a familiar Rainbow maned pony turned away as though she was speaking to the floor.
"But.... What if I said.... I might...." Silver said his lip quivering.
Silver jolted awake the alarm clock scaring him. "Oh no!" He said "I overslept I'm going to be late!" He shouted quickly getting up from his bed. He went over to the bathroom sink and washed his face and hair. He didn't have the time to fix it as they drooped over his eyes as he nearly threw them to the side and bolted out the door.
The train station was boarding its last passengers as 6 friends were mearly talking about what to do when they returned home.
"WAIT UP GUYS!" They heard Silver shout as he was flying as fast as he possibly could towards them. "Wait... I can't stop! Look out!" He shouted as they all ran out the way. The only one who didn't move and mearly grew wide eyed and put her ears down was Fluttershy.
CRASH!
The two had rolled and tumbled as Silver was laying on top of Fluttershy as they rubbed their heads and said "ow." Quickly looking down at Fluttershy his face turned slightly red and she realized this as well and quickly turned red. But with a small little smile spread across her face.
Silver quickly thought back to when they had spent the night at her cottage. and Just before sleeping they had stayed up talking about how they felt towards each other.
"I....... I have never met another pony who could talk to animals so easily... And..... I think..... That's... Very.... nice..." Fluttershy spoke getting quiet.
"I never knew someone like yourself could be so assertive when you had to be!" Silver spoke happily laughing. "And that's.... quite.... Attractive might I add..." He sheepishly smiled at Fluttershy who had turned a little red and giggled.
"And.... I think that someone who can care and talk to animals just as easily as me... Must be so kind and caring...." She said a little grin spread across her face.
They looked at each other for a while. Angel bunny was quietly asleep and there was only the sound of the ticking clock from downstairs and a few crickets from outside. Silver thought about it for a moment. "Fluttershy.... Your really... Unique... You know that?"
"Oh... Why.. Thank you.." She said as they both found themselves scooting closer to each other. soon Silver wrapped his hoof around her in a hug as they looked at each other and slowly leaned in for a kiss.
Silver quickly snapped back into focus after he heard Rainbow Dash clap her hooves together and shout "You two gonna stop staring at each other and get moving?" sounding annoyed as the others giggled.
Silver coughed and got off of Fluttershy as he helped her up and they walked to the train again with the other five.
"Man... I am really gonna miss you guys." Silver said as they all huddled together for a hug.
"Don't worry too much Silver. Celestia isn't a bother and just keep yourself in good spirits! It'll be over before you know it! and maybe you'll have learned a cool few new spells you could even teach me!" Twilight said sounding very enthusiastic and happy at the same time as she boarded the train.
"Try not to strain yourself darling. And don't miss us too much!" Rarity said she followed behind Twilight.
"Eat up well partner! And try to brag and miss my cooking too much sugercube!" Applejack laughed jokingly as they high hooves and she walked in as well.
"Try to... Make more friends Silver... But don't forget about us.. And... And try to be friends with all the cute little animals..." Fluttershy said kissing his cheek before boarding the train.
Silver looked up at Rainbow Dash who had her hoof in her mouth as though she said "eww gag." to herself. Awkwardly enough she landed next to him and they stared at each other. Both were most likely thinking about what had happened the previous night as it was still fresh in Silvers mind. Dash mearly took one step towards Silver and whispered into his ear "Your secret is safe with me..." She said as she planted a kiss on his ear.
Looking at the train the five were talking and must not have noticed as Dash walked in and they all turned to look at Silver.
"Good Luck! Have Fun! Get Lots of Rest! Train Well!" Were all said as the train door closed and they each waved. Silver raised his hoof and waved back smiling to each. He turned around to see Princess Celestia standing behind him.
"Well new student. Are you ready to begin your lessons?" Silver bowed his head slowly and smiled.
"Yes. I am ready Princess." He said. They had walked over to Celestia's huge study room which had a board filled with many things written down as well as pictures.
"Wow.." Silver said in astonishment looking around seeing all the many books stacked neatly and piled together. Celestia had used her magic to close the door behind then and turned to Silver who was now sitting at a desk with an open book.
"Now Silver. I want you to tell me how much magic you have learned. And how well you can accomplish doing this." She said as she set a cup in front of Silver. "Try to levitate this." She finished.
"Easy!" Silver said as his horn glowed a green-ish type glow. Celestia raised her eyebrow at this and saw as Silver was easily able to levitate the cup with very simple ease.
"Well now. I see you have been able to learn basic spells before meeting us have you?" Celestia said as she used her magic to hover over in front of silver a feather.
"Yes. I have learned a few things." Silver said. Soon Celestia started to tickle Silver's nose with the feather. "Uhh princess what are you do- ahh... ahh.... AHH-CHOOO!" Silver sneezed as the Cup was no longer there anymore. "Woh! Where did the cup go!?" Silver said looking around worried. Celestia was watching Silver fly around the room panicked and continuously saying "I can find it! I'll find it! Don't worry Princess I'll find it!"
"Silver!" She said giggling a little. "It's alright! The cup is gone. You see when you levitate things you have to be careful. Sneezing couses a sudden burst of magic and could either make the object go flying across the room or make is disappear completely. You need to try and keep yourself under control. The same thing happens when the unicorn is under great...." She trailed off a little unsure how to say it. "Pleasure..." She said finishing off. Silver felt his face grow a little red at this once again now realizing why his horn was setting off little sparks when he was with Fluttershy. "Are there any other spells that you know how to do Silver?" Celestia asked as she took a few steps back to see what Silver could do.
"Well I have leaned how to do quite a few things." He said as his whole body flashed in a bright white light as he was standing next to the princess. "And this was was probably the trickiest." Celestia quickly jumped to the side as Silver laughed and teleported back behind his desk.
"I am glad to see you know such advanced spells." Celestia sighed relieved she could teach Silver the most advanced spells she knew.
It was already dusk when the two had finished the first lessons. Silver was able to learn quite a lot within a short time. "At this rate we might let you go earlier than expected!" Celestia exclaimed laughing as Silver had made a duplicate of himself and was standing on his own back doing a handstand as they high hoofed. The double disappeared as Silver smiled a little knowing he was able to make the princess proud. "Well it is my time to reside Silver." He aww'd at this a little. "Don't worry. I'm sure you wil enjoy the company of my sister tonight." She said as she began to walk away. "She will be waiting for you at the castle garden. There will be a large hill that you will see her on." She said as she walked away. Silver closed the book that was open and quickly ran outside eager not to keep Luna waiting.
Just as Celestia had said Luna was there patiently laying down looking at the now night sky. The first few stars were out and Luna was looking up at them as she was smiling a little.
"Uhmm... Hello Luna. I'm here for the lesson." He said.
"Ahh Silver. Glad you finally found it in your studies with my sister to come out and join us... Err.. Me." She said as she stood up and expanded her wings. "I'm going to be teaching you a few flying tricks." She said as started to hover above Silver. "I was able to speak to your friend Frack and learn about how your body as a pony works as it did as a... Hedgehog..." She said turning her head to study how a pony such as Silver could have possibly been a hedgehog before. "anyway. I hope you are ready. You might be in for quite a surprise." She said smiling a little. At this Silver nodded and began to fly as well.
"Now the first thing I would like to know. Are you able to do anything... Like this?" She said as she began flying in circles around him. However she was leaving behind a beautiful streak of glimmering stars behind. The sight was amazing and Silver had never seen anything like it. Except on Rainbow Dash who had the rainbow trail behind her every time she flew quickly. Silver realized his jaw had dropped as Luna had finished and was now hovering in front of him with a small smile.
"Wow.... That was amazing!!" Silver exclaimed quickly and very excited. "I... don't think I can do anything like that though...." He realized sadly.
"Well that's where you're wrong my dear Silver." Luna started. "You in fact can. and as described by Frack it will be quite a sight to see. And I would like to help you do this task." She said sounding determined. Silver nodded his head as she was unsure why SHE seemed more excited then Silver. But he shrugged it off and thought it would be worth it. "So when you were a hedgehog... I was told you had a faint blue glow around your body whenever you began to use your powers... Is this true?" She asked.
"Yes! Whenever I used my psycokenesis powers top levitate or float objects it always appeared!" Silver said happily.
"Well answer me this Silver" She began to fly as he followed her. "What do you stride for? What did you fight for? And most importantly what do hope to accomplish as you are here now?"
Silver pondered this. He thought. What do I really want...? I know I really want to push myself to be my best... Be my very best! So I don't have to worry about losing anyone else ever again... Like I lost Blaze.... She was why I fought... But now I have a new reason to fight.. I have to protect the world here.... And hope nothing terrible ever happens again.... I want to accomplish that.... I want to.... Be.... The... Best I can be...... To protect everyone.... I won' lose anyone else. Never again!
Silver soon snapped out of his thoughts to look back and see Luna staring at him. Her jaw had dropped and she seemed to be amazing.
"You found that reason didn't you?" She said a smile soon growing across her face.
"Huh?" Silver looked at her puzzled as he few towards her and saw behind him a. spiraling blue light was starting to form behind his body. It was a swirl that flowed very uniquely and gracefully behind him as he flew. Soon he was lost in this amazement as he was flying. Faster and faster as the swirl turned into a streak of light blue. He started to fly up and spin in circles as amazed as he was it evaporated and he stopped flying and saw it stop at his tail.
"And that was very worth the time we have spent here..." Luna said clapping her hoofs together smiling as the last of the blue streak was gone. "I honestly didn't think that would work." She said as she flew up to Silver to shake his hoof. "Congratulations subject. We... I am very proud. That was all I could teach you. But I am very glad to have been able to see that at least." Silver quickly hugged her tightly as she smiled and hugged him back.
"Indeed it was marvelous sight to see." Celestia said flying from behind them and joining in the hug. "You have learned almost everything in such a short time. I think... You will be able to learn the rest on your own."
Silver teared a little bit at this and smiled widely. "Thank you princesses. I cannot thank you enough!" He exclaimed.
"It was our pleasure." They both said. "But." Celestia continued. "I want you to continue to visit us when you find the time." She said smiling. "and do show us any new tricks you have learned." Luna added.
"Now get some rest. And tomorrow you shall be sent back home." Celestia said. Silver nodded and hugged them both again saying "Thank you."
When Silver had approached his room he sighed happily. He looked up at the moon and yawned. It had been a good day. And a few weeks had turned into a day. He was happy to have pleased the princesses and walked into his room jumping into his bed. "I will protect everyone... No matter the cost..." He said as he closed his eyes and slowly fell asleep.
Silver stretched his arms and legs as he woke up. He hadn't slept that well since his first arrival to Equestria. He scratched his head and got up to go wash up. He smelled himself. "Ugh... I smell horrible... I better go wash up.." He said to himself as just jumped out of bed and fixed it up.
I can't wait to get back... Silver thought to himself. Spending time with the princesses was great. But I just want to settle down FINALLY. As he happily started to run the shower.
It was pretty early in the day as Silver flew out his door to the train station as he saw both Luna and Celestia waiting for him.
"Glad you managed to get your sleep." Luna said smiling. "We are sad to see you go Silver but do hope you come to visit us when you can." She said as the three of the group hugged.
"I'll try my best. and I cannot thank you enough you two. I really am thankful you helped me."
"It was the least we could do." Celestia said. "Go ahead and try to figure out more spells yourself. I guarantee you might be able to make your own spell one day. We expect great things of you Silver the Pony." Silver again couldn't help but smile as he walked onto the train and waved at the two sisters from the window until they were out of sight and the train was spiraling down a huge mountain. Silver knew that the train would take almost half the day to get to Ponyville so he took the time to lay his head on the wall and close his eyes as he slowly fell asleep.
"Hahahahahahaha!" A menacing laugh was heard as the mane six were down and bleeding. Silver only watched in horror as everything was in flames. The buildings were set on fire and Celestia and Luna... They were gone. He swore to himself he was going to protect them no matter what.
"WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS? YOU'RE A MONSTER!" He shouted as loudly as he could at the horrible serpent behind it all.
"A monster? No not at all... In fact... I was only able to accomplish this because of one person... Hahahahaha......" He said as the wrapped Silver in his tail and pulled him closer. He was already bruised and in pain and the pressure on his body nearly made him pass out. However when he was being raised he saw a peculiar purple smoke behind the evil purple serpent.
"Silver... Oh how I missed you..." It spoke in a low menacing voice. "You haven't changed a bit.. Still so naive and easy to trick.... And just when you thought things were running smoothly for you... Mwahahahaha!"
Silver who was still being strangled was able to mutter out a single question. "M-M...... Mephiles?" He said as he dropped his head in agony.
Silver quickly jolted his head as the trains horn went off signaling all passengers who lived in Ponyville that they had arrived. He grabbed his head and shook it quickly What was.... What was that....? He thought as he stepped off. He appeared to be the only one who was getting off the train as it closed it's doors and left. Ponyville was very quiet today. In fact. There was no one around. Not a single pony in sight. He flew up and looked around. Not a single pegasus in the sky. Odd.... Where is everyone? Silver decided to go see Twilight to see if she was home.
No one.
He then flew off to Fluttershy's cottage.
Empty besides a few animals eating in the back.
Silver went off to see Pinkie.
No one either.
Silver went to Rarities and it was empty as well.
What the hell....? He thought as he flew off to see Applejack. No one was working as he flew closer. But he thought he heard a loud thump from inside the house. This made him a little interested as he flew down to the front door. He put his ear to the door but heard nothing from inside. "Hey Applejack? Are you in there?" He shouted as he slowly began to open the door. As soon as he did so there was a flash of white light as all the lights suddenly turned on and there was a ton of ponies who shouted "SURPRISE!"
Silver hardly expected everyone to be able to fit in this house. Then again he never took the time to see how large the house really was. He smiled at this gesture set by all the ponies as the mane six had all ran up to hug Silver.
"Welcome back sugercube! Glad to see you again!" Applejack shouted.
"We missed you a lot more than I think we should have." Said Rainbow Dash.
"W-we missed you a lot... Even if it was only for just a day..." Fluttershy added.
"Oh boy I felt really weird with a pony not here. I dunno why but It's nice to finally have you back Silvy! Here have a cupcake!" Pinkie said as she shoved her whole hoof into Silver's mouth which held a cupcake as he just swallowed it.
"Oh Pinkie no need to make him so filthy already!" Rarity said using her magic to hand over a napkin to Silver.
Twilight giggled as she walked up to Silver offering him punch. "Here you can wash that down with this. It's good to finally have you back Silver. I hope everything with the princesses went alright and that you learned a thing or two."
"Oh you bet I did. I was really disappointed that I had to go but they said I should visit them more often." he nodded as he took the punch and drank some of it.
"Well I'm really anxious to hear about-"
"Well what are we doing talking for? IT'S TIME TO PARTY!!!!" Pinkie butted in shouting and dancing in the middle of the living room as Silver looked over and saw Vinyl Scratch blasting music at her turn tables. He saw an 11 on one of those amps and hoped it wouldn't go anywhere near that loud as he scratched his head and raised his glass in the air. to signal that the party is going to take off finally.
They had partied almost the whole morning and it was dark out by the time things had kinda settled down. Everyone was still having loads of fun. Silver had seen that everyone had too much Sarsaparilla and were parting like crazy. Especially Pinkie and Fluttershy. Boy were they able to party. Never thought Fluttershy could be a party animal Silver laughed as he took another swig of his own bottle and jumped into the dancing tournament. Most of the ponies cheered for Silver has he managed to get his blue aura to leave behind blue streaks behind him as he danced and made everyone gasp and ooh and ahh. After that was over he had talked some to Twilight about his time with the princesses and they new things he was able to learn. He even had a racing competition with Rainbow Dash. Sadly Silver had lost as Rainbow Dash finished the competition with a Sonic Rainboom. Although his defeat was bad He couldn't help but laugh. As he saw the rainbow an Idea hit him. He followed the rainbow as he wind in circles around it leaving behind a blue funnel over the rainbow as he finished off A lot of ponies cheered as he was not being a poor sport. Even Dash found herself amused as she high hoofed Silver afterwards.
Finally things had settled down. Vinyl had finished packing up her things and most of the ponies had left for home. The mane 6 had all stayed to help clean up. Except Dash who had a bit too much to drink. She was talking to a mirror asking her how tough she thought she was. They all couldn't help but laugh at the silliness.
"Well i guess that's everything done and done. We should all get our rest now." Twilight said as everyone talked in agreement.
"But what about Dashie?" Pinkie said looking at Dash who was cuddling a flower pot playing with it's leaves as though trying to seduce it.
"Uhh.. Silver of Fluttershy. Can either of you two take her home and make sure she gets there safely?" Applejack said as she threw some trash away..
"I guess we can both go." Silver said as he threw Dash on his back. He had to force the pot out of her hand as she had a grip on it. "Common Dash let's take ya home." Silver said as Fluttershy and him walked outside and began flying to Cloudsdale.
It was already pretty late when the got Rainbow Dash to her home. Fluttershy opened the door as Silver walked up the stairs and took Dash to her bed and laid her down before he started to walk away.
"Wait Silver..." Dash called to him.
"What Dash? You gotta get your sleep... We all do." Silver replied as his sleep deprivation was getting to him.
"Come here real quick.. I wanna tell you something...." She said as she stood up waiting for Silver to approach her.
He sighed and walked towards her. "What is it?" He said
She had grabbed his face with both her hooves and looked him in the eyes. "I didn't tell anypony your secret!" She shouted quite loud.
"Ok ok!" Silver said trying to hush her down. "Thank you..." He said trying to take her hooves off his cheeks.
"Silver? Is Dash alright?" Fluttershy called from downstairs.
"Yea she's fine!" He shouted back. "I'm just trying to get her to sleep!"
Dash then leaned closer to him and locked her lips onto his biting on his lip and pushing him to the ground as she laid on top of him. "Don't leave Silver...." She said muffled.
"mmf!" Silver said trying to get Dash off of him. As she closed her eyes and played with his ear. At this Silver lost control. He felt his body at ease as she played with his ear and started to give into the kiss nearly closing his eyes.
"Silv-EEP!" Silver heard at he shot his ears up and opened his eyes quickly looking at the door.
"Fluttershy... I..." He said trying to get Dash off of him as she hugged him tightly. "I was only...." He tried to think of something to saw as Flutters stood there wish a look of shock. He saw her eyes start to well up and she let out another eep as she started to cry and run back downstairs.
"Fluttershy!" Silver yelled out as he heard the door close as he lay there unsure what to do. "what have I done!...." He said slapping his hooves to his face his tiredness finally getting to him. Dash seemed to have finally fallen asleep on him sleeping soundly. Silver felt his heart sink. He had to think of something. He actually liked Fluttershy. He didn't mean for that to happen. I'm such an idiot! he thought to himself as he closed his eyes. I.... Need... To... Fix this.... He said as he closed his eyes and slowly drifted off.
(Sorry that i've been late in updates everyone. I have been VERY busy lately and been thinking of ways to kinda up the ante on the fan fic. This is actually most likely the last love confusing part for a while and I will be getting more in depth with the antagonists and plots. Hope you enjoy)
No.... It's okay.... I... I never was good as showing my feelings... I..I'm so shy... It runs a lot of things for me.... She spoke in a low and quiet voice. Silver felt his heart burst. He didn't want to let go. He knew he had more feelings for her than he let off.
Please... I'm sorry... I just.. Didn't know what to do... I.... I think I might even... Her head perked up a little bit and she slowly turned around her face filled with tears but a small smile now forming. She shook her head. She didn't want to hear the rest. She knew what he was going to say as she ran towards him and wrapped her hooves around his waist.
I.... I do... Too.... Silver looked down at her and smiles a little feeling his own tears start to well up.
Silver slowly opened one of his eyes as he saw Dash still laying on him a hoof on his cheek as she seemed lost in a kiss. Quickly jolting awake Silver pulled back and rubbed his head. "Aww... You're just no fun..." She giggled as she climbed off of him and walked over to a mirror.
"What.... What happened last night?" Silver questioned as he tried to sand up. He felt his body was heavy. It was probably because he was sleeping on the floor with a full grown mare on him.
"I'm not sure what happened last night. I don't remember much... But I woke up in your hooves... So I was pretty happy." She giggled as she started brushing her hair.
"Last night..." Quickly Silver felt a flashback of the night before as Fluttershy ran out the house upset and crying. "Oh no.." Silver spoke quietly to himself. "Hey Dash. I gotta go. This is important." He said quickly running to the door.
"Well where are you going?" She scoffed as she put the brush down and crossed her forehooves pouting,
"It's important... I made a mistake... And i need to fix it..." He slowed down a little as he got to the door. "Sorry... See ya around." He said quickly flying downstairs and out the door.
Silver was flying all over Ponyville asking everyone he crossed paths with if they had seen Fluttershy. No one had seen her at all. Not even Rarity, Applejack, Twilight, or Pinkie. Silver finally reached Fluttershy's house when he stopped at the door. He was hesitant at first then finally mustered up the courage to knock on the door.
"Knock Knock"
No one answered. He tried again.
"Knock knock"
Again no one answered. Silver quickly went around to find a window as he peered in. He didn't see much as it was very dark. He quickly used a night vision spell so he could see better. He didn't see much except a lot of tissue on the floor and a basket filled to the brim with tissue. He also saw Fluttershy's bed. A blanket over what looked like a rather large bump. He knew it had to be her and he had to find a way in. He flew back down to the front door and tried to open it.
Locked. He suggested that the back door would probably be locked to so he looked around more. Finally, looking at the chimney on her roof he sighed, "Guess Santa's coming a little early this year.." As Silver quickly shoved his way down the chimney. It was a ver tight squeeze and finally making his way down to the bottom he flew out the fireplace and nearly crashed into the wall if he hadn't used the full power of his wings to stop himself. He quietly flew listening as he heard light weeping from upstairs. He began making his way upstairs and with each second he heard the crying he felt his heart break. Finally as he was right next to her bed he landed and stood there unsure what to say.
"F....Fluttershy?..." He spoke in such a low voice that he wasn't even sure she heard him.
She must have for the crying stopped slightly.
"I... I wanted to come talk to you...." He said.
"A...Are you just here to tell me how happy you are with Dash...?" She said in such a bitterness it took Silver all his strength not to kill himself right there.
"No... I wanted to apologize for my stupid mistake... I didn't know what to do at that moment... After Dash had told me she liked me back at the castle I wasn't sure what to say... I didn't tell her I liked her the way she did towards me.. Because well.. I had already wanted to tell you how I felt towards you... And didn't want to ruin that...." He spoke with seriousness in his voice.
"And how is it you really feel towards me Silver...?" Fluttershy asked as she slowly took the cover's off her head. She looked terrible. Her mane was frizzy and all over the place and she had tear stains all over her face and her body. Hey coat had looked sticky and unwashed and her eyes made it look as though she hadn't slept at all.
"I... I feel..." He sighed his head hung down as he inhaled. "I feel as though I can do anything with you around.. I feel powerful. Like nothing can hurt me. You care so much for these animals and showed me that peo-..Ponies have love in them. And are capable of showing it.. That maybe.. Somehow I can find a way to love somebo-... Somepony as well.. You are probably the sweetest most amazing mare in the world. And without you.. I don't know what I would be doing right now.. I... I think... I lo-" He felt a hoof stop over his mouth as he looked up to see Fluttershy smiling widely with tears streaming down her face.
"I think I do too Silver.." She spoke quietly as she jumped off the bed and hugged him tightly kissing his cheek. "And I don't want anypony to change that..."
Silver felt the color rush to his face as his heart pumped faster. He felt this way before.. He started to think about Blaze. Did I felt this way towards her even before she left me?.. Maybe I did. But I guess I need to accept the fact she's not coming back He thought as he hugged her tighter and kissed her cheek. He felt this special moment as he poured his heart out.
Then as Fluttershy crawled into bed a sudden realization hit him. Hard. What would Rainbow Dash do? Would she tell everyone about how he really wasn't from this place? Just because he broke her heart? He felt very uneasy as lay next to Fluttershy hugging her closely. He didn't know. And at this point. He didn't care. Silver didn't want to spoil this moment he had with the one he knew he loved. And as he closed his eyes and drifted off he felt confused. Yet happy. Silver knew he made the right choice.
Yes my little Hedgehog.... Enjoy your time... Hmhmhhahahah.. Because you don't know... You really don't know.. I am coming back. And with a little help from a new friend.... Nothing will stop me... And soon all of Equestria will belong me... Forever. A serpent spoke in a low dark voice as a purple cloud surrounded him. His eyes glowed yellow as a wide white grin was shown.
He was sitting in utter darkness by himself. Ever since he was turned into a statue again he had no way of doing anything fun anymore. He sighed as he flicked his tail back and forth slowly and chewed on his lion paw. "This has to be the most boring thing EVER." He shouted into the dark nothingness around him.
"You seem to be lost..." A deep voice spoke from all around him.
"Who goes there!" He shouted as he took a defensive stance getting his claws ready to attack.
"I am just... A person who is here... To make sure you are the right one I am searching for..." It spoke again a now purple fog eminating around him. "Are you the one who they call.... Discord?" It spoke again.
"Well I was until I was so rudely cast into this stone statue... Again...." He said blandly as he let his guard down. "Who wants to know?"
"I do." It spoke again. as the fog started to form into a figure of a hedgehog. It had no mouth and yet spoke. It also had dark purple eyes that was unsettling as it stared at Discord. It's whole figure was dark. "I am who they call Mephilese. I have a proposition for you Discord. I have a way to get you out of here without raising suspicion that you have left this exact statue. However I will need to gain the trust of another."
"Now wait just a second." Discord quickly snapped his fingers staring at the strange creature. "How do I know I can trust you anyways? I don't even know what you are!" He grumbled as he popped up some cotton candy as he began biting into it."
"Do you have any other choice? I'm sure you are already baffled at how I managed to get into this statue to speak to you in the first place." He responded. Quickly Discord spit out the food in his mouth as his jaw dropped.
That's right... How DID he get in here?.... He thought as he only shook away his suspicions. "Very well... Mephilese. Do what you will. I have all the time in the world." He grumbled again as he laid back at stared at the darkness.
"Good. Good." He said as he quickly disappeared out the statue in a puff of purple smoke.
Luna had been sleeping during the day. Not a single thing to worry about as she peacefully turned pulling her blanket over her more. The purple fog had no intention in waking her up. And as it slowly crept it's way into her ear it made it's way into her subconscious where the true demon in her subsided.
There it was. Chained up and laying down as though it regret nothing it had done in it's past. And as she slowly rose she had a burning passion in her eyes to kill everything. With no remorse or mercy. "Who goes there!" She shouted and snarled as the chains began to rattle.
"I am here to set the demon in here free." Mephilese spoke as he began to surround her in the thick purple fog. "I have looked up quite a lot about you. And I think you may be a valuable asset..."
"Leave me be fool! You do not know what I am capable of! I will end your life here and now foul creature!" She spat.
Quickly, He broke the chains holding her down and began to rejuvenate her wings and horn that were broken ripped and torn. "You will work for me." He spoke again in a deep voice as he began to take the previous form he had when confronting Discord. "Wouldn't you want to be able to be free of this wretched body. Wouldn't you like to be set free and to wreak havoc everywhere you go. With my help. And the help of another. We can accomplish this. You can get revenge on all those who mocked you. Those who had tormented you. You can do anything you want." He spoke unmoving and staring at her as though he was looking right into her soul.
She pondered for a moment. Her horn and wings had been fixed. He could prove to be a valuable member to her. And being free of Luna seemed too good to be true. "Very well... Stranger.... Do what you will. I wish to take my vengeance on these wretched ponies.." She spoke with bitterness.
"Good... Good...." He quickly took a hold of her hoof and they both puffed into purple smoke. And left Luna's mind. Nightmare Moon. Was once again.
Free.
As they returned to Discord he was in the same spot as before. Mumbling to himself incoherently. And as he saw the purple fog begin to gather he quickly stood upright. He saw the creature begin to form. But with another at his side this time. It was a creature who looked just like the one who imprisoned him. But different.
"Who... Is that?" He stared her as he began to circle around her and pulled her face to his getting a good look at the armored looking alicorn.
"Fear not Discord. This is unlike the one who had left you in this statue. Rather the demon that resides within her." Mephilese spoke snapping at him.
"Quite." Nightmare Moon spoke annoyed as she used her magic to push him away.
"You two have suffered greatly due to the mane 6 that reside in Ponyville.... I would know.... And I an here to say.... Discord!"
Mephilese snapped as he was moonwalking on Nightmare Moons head.
"Sorry.. Force of habit." He quickly jumped off her head and sat staring patiently.
"Anyway.... There is another new one here. And I want him gone as well. I have a score to settle. And with you two here.. I will be able to accomplish this. As well as allow you two to get your vengeance." Mephilese pulled out a very decorated box and showed it to them.
"Hey! That's where the." Discord started.
"Elements of Harmony are stored." Nightmare finished for him.
"Good... And without these... They will be helpless. Now here is what we are going to do...
Wait. We are being watched." Mephilese looked up and saw a little blue floating ball which let out a quick yelp as he had been discovered.
"Ahh. So you are the one who has been giving Silver these visions. Well.. With you out of the way..." He quickly shoved Frack into a bag and tied it quickly. "He had gained the trust of many in Ponyville... We could use this to our advantage..." He quickly took the form of a blue ball and and floated down to the two.
"Now go. We have havoc to wreak." He spoke as he snapped a finger and the two quickly disappeared. "We are coming for you Silver...."
Quickly Silver jolted up as his heart was beating rapidly. "What.... Was that?...." He sighed and laid his head back against the pillow... "Man... I need to get my head checked out or something.." He closed his eyes returning to his slumber.
And as he did so the plotting had begun to bring him. and the mane 6 down. And destroy Ponyville. With no remorse. No regrets. And no mercy.
