A depressing prologue

Rainbow and her friends were have fun at Twilight's birthday party, but that stopped when armored unicorns started pouring into the room ahd quickly subdued everypony there. The unicorns then moved out into the garden and did the same there. They moved so quickly.

Rainbow tried to break free of her magical binding, but it was for naught. "Grr." 'How could I have let this happen?! I should have snapped out of my surprise sooner!' She berated herself. Just then she and her five friends were frown into the garden and they saw who the leader of this group was...

"Blueboood?!" Everypony shouted in surprise.

"Yes it is I, prince Blueblood, soon to be King Blueblood!" The Unicorn announced.

"Why are you doing this." Rarity huffed, seemingly more annoyed than concerned for her well being..

"Oh you're one to talk. This is all your fault Rarity. You decided to throw cake at me, then proceeded to threatened me! You didn't even get a punishment! You showed me that there's no order under my aunt's rule. Thus I must be king so that there will be order and ponies like you will get your proper punishments!" He monologued.

Unfortunately for him, during his monologue The Mysterious Mare do Well appeared and was able to silently knock out five armored unicorns. When Blueblood finally turned around he shrieked then hid in some bushes. Mare do Well quickly dispatched of the remaining armored unicorns, leaving everypony in awe.

'Wow.' Rainbow thought. 'Unlike me she actually kicked their plot!' Once all the armored unicorns were knock out the magical restraints on everypony faded, but Rainbow was too upset at herself to get up. Mare do Well checks on the bush that Blueblood hid in, but found nothing. MDW went and made sure everypony was okay. Rainbow was still upset at herself though, in seeing that, Pinkie walked over to her and lay down next to the Pegasus.

"Why so mopey lopey?" Pinkie asked Rainbow, which startled her to look at Pinkie.

"Nothing." Rainbow said quickly as her eyes darted away.

"It's okay Dashie, you can tell me." Pinkie assured Rainbow.

"No. No, I'm fine." Rainbow said sternly.

"Pleeeeeeease?" Pinkie continued to pry.

"I said I-"

"Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee-" Rainbow then put her right hoof in pinkie's mouth.

"Fine I'll tell you. You see I... I wasn't able to stop those unicorns." Rainbow admitted.

Pinkie took Rainbow's hoof out of her mouth. "And?"

"And instead I just stood there like an idiot." Rainbow continued as she hit her face into the dirt.

"Well that's not your fault Dashie." Pinkie told her.

"But it is! If I wasn't so dumb to what was going on then I could've stopped them." Rainbow slammed her left hoof into the ground.

"But nopony expected that to happen." Pinkie continued to be supportive.

"Mare do Well did! And guess what, she stopped them!" Rainbow shoved her snout up to Pinkie's in anger.

"But she's a superhero, superhero's always expect the unexpected." Pinkie shrugged.

"But I a-" Rainbow shoved her hooves into her mouth. After a few seconds she took them out. "Forget what I said!" She yelled at Pinkie, then flew away faster then Pinkie could process anything. Pinkie sat there for a few seconds trying to figure out what Rainbow was about to say, then it clicked.

Twilight also noticed Rainbow flying away and decided to talk to Pinkie. "What was that about?" She asked.

"I think Rainbow may be a superhero." Pinkie confessed in a style where one would expect a cliff-hanger.

"What?" Twilight then began to remember what Mare do Well told her. 'I'm sure you can figure out why Rainbow hasn't complained yet.' "Of course! That makes so much sense!"

"What does?" Pinkie asked, dumfounded.

"I'll explain later, for now let's just get the girls to their rooms, it's been an exhausting night." Twilight suggested.

"But what about your birthday party? It's ruined." Pinkie said sadly.

"We can celebrate it tomorrow. Come on." Twilight and Pinkie went to gather their friends and afterwards left the garden.

'Argh I'm so stupid! I need to learn when to keep my bucking mouth shut!' Rainbow Dash thought as she flew through Canterlot, eventually landing on a roof of a building. She sat there for several minutes.

"What's the matter?" Said a familiar voice suddenly, which surprised Rainbow enough to make her jump into the air and start hovering.

She then saw it was Mare do Well. "What does it matter to you?" She asked bitterly as she landed and sat back down.

"It doesn't, but whatever it is, it matters to you." Mare do Well replied simply.

"Yeah well I ain't telling you anything." Rainbow huffed.

"I never said you had to, but I would like your help." 'What?'

"Wait what now?" 'She needs my help?' "You need my help?" She wanted to make sure her hearing wasn't whack.

The caped crusader simply nodded.

"With what?" Rainbow asked, starting to become eager to know.

"Well you see, Blueblood has escaped and I'm assuming that Celestia may know where to find him. Obviously, the guards probably won't let me in, because I'm just some vigilante, but they'd have to let you in since you're a national hero. So do you understand what I'm asking of you?" Mare do Well asked.

"You want me to help you get in so that you can talk to the Princess?" 'Not as action packed as I'd like, but whatever.'

Mare do Well nodded then asked. "Are you up for it?"

Rainbow shrugged. "Eh, why not?" Desperately trying to hide her eagerness.

And so they went back to the castle. Once they got to the front gate, they were blocked by two spears that were held by gurds, both of whom looked at Mare do Well suspiciously. Rainbow stepped in front of MDW and told the guards. "Relax, she's with me." The two guards looked at each other, nodded, looked back at Rainbow and lowered their spears, letting her and MDW pass.

Rainbow and MDW made their way to the throne room and MDW pushes the doors open with her magic. They then went up to the Princess. 'I hope this works.' Rainbow worried. They both bowed before Princess Celestia. "Hello Rainbow Dash." The Princess greeted. She then looked at MDW. "I don't believe I know your name."

"I go by 'The Mysterious Mare do Well', your highness. I'm here because, as you know, your nephew, Prince Blueblood, recently set up and executed an attack at the garden party that was hosted tonight. Assumingly to get revenge on Rarity and appearently overthrow you. Unfortunately for him I was there just in time, but he escaped. I wanted to know if you have any idea as to where to find him." Mare do Well explained.

"Hmm and why would I tell you where my nephew could be?" 'What?' Rainbow didn't know if Celestia was joking or not. "For all I know, you intend to hurt him." That was the last straw..

"Oh come on!" Rainbow suddenly yelled. "After what he did?! You're worried that he may get some bruises!? He deserves a-" Rainbow stopped herself when she was tapped on the shoulder. She turned to see Mare do Well giving her a look that said 'I'll handle this.'

Mare do Well turned back to the Princess. "I promise I will not harm Prince Blueblood, unless I have to."

Celestia contemplated this for a few seconds then said. "Well then I'll tell you."

Both Rainbow and MDW arrived at their destination, which was the museum that was owned by Blueblood.

Rainbow turns to MDW and asks. "So how are we gonna get in?"

"Well he probably has guards at the front door, so you go in through the skylight." The caped crusader instructed.

"What about you?" Rainbow asked, worried that she'd be sent in by herself.

"I'm going through the front door and distracting them. I'll need you to get behind them and take them out as quickly, but as quietly as possible." MDW explained.

Rainbow scoffed. "Do you even have to ask if I'm fast enough?"

"No, not really." Mare do Well then jumped down to the front door. Rainbow took that as her cue to get ready. she flew to the skylight and opened it. A few seconds later and she heard glass shattering and magic blasts being fired. Knowing that they're distracted, Rainbow dived into the building and started knocking Unicorns down one by one. Eventually one of them notices and they change their focus onto Rainbow and start firing at her. She nearly gets hit several times, but in a matter of seconds the rest of the goons are knocked out by MDW.

"They're all down!" MDW tells Rainbow, who pulls into a full stop right before crashing into her.

"That was awesome!" Rainbow cheered.

"Maybe so, but we're not done here yet. Let's get moving." MDW said, going past Rainbow to a door. Rainbow then followed behind. Said door led to the art room, but in that room were two very muscular earthponies and four unicorns. Rainbow turned her head and saw Mare do Well looking at the chandelier. MDW looked at Rainbow and nodded her head to the chandelier. Without hesitation Rainbow prepared to fly up to the chandelier. Suddenly MDW threw down a smoke bomb and Rainbow used this opportunity to fly up to the chandelier and drop it on the goons. The smoke cleared and Rainbow saw that she succeeded.

"Good job. Now let's check the room." Rainbow heard MDW say and so she did so.

While flying around the room, Rainbow spotted something shiny. She flew down to investigate. When she got there she saw that the shiny object was a knife. Suddenly the knife rose up and cornered Rainbow into somepony's grasp. Rainbow tried to get free, but the knife pressed against her neck so that she'd stop. Mare do Well rounded a corner and into the scene.

"Come any c-closer and I'll do it!" Rainbow heard Blueblood yell, but he sounded nervous and panicked. Rainbow took the opportunity to grab the handle of the knife in her mouth, easily outstrength Blueblood and punch his lights out.

Even with the concealing, Rainbow could tell Mare do Well was surprised. "Well that went well." The hero said, then chuckled.

Rainbow shrugged. "Well he wasn't exactly strong, he just got lucky." She stated, then joined MDW in laughing at Blueblood's expense.

Mare do Well threw Blueblood onto her back. "Well we should head back to the castle."

"I'm down with that." Rainbow agreed.

Once they got back to the castle, they give Blueblood to the authorities and are told that Celestia would like a word with them. They go back to the throne room and simultaneously bow to the Princess.

"I thank you both for apprehending Blueblood and achieving so without doing too much damage." Princess Celestia praised them.

"No problem Princess." Rainbow assured.

"Rainbow, I believe your friends were worried about you." Celestia informed her.

Rainbow sighed. "Yeah, I'm gonna apologize to them for up and leaving like that."

"Good idea." Said Celestia and with that, Rainbow took her leave.

Rainbow went to where she knew Pinkie's room was to apologize to her first. Once there she knocked on the door and Pinkie opened it. Rainbow didn't even have a chance to say anything because she was tackled to the floor.

"I'msogladyou'reokaymeandthegirlswereallsoooworriedaboutyoubecauseyoulftwithoutevensayingwhereyouweregoing!" Pinkie said at a pace that no one could even hope to understand.

"O..kay." Rainbow gasped.

Pinkie then shot up. "Oh, hehe. Sorry."

Rainbow caught her breath then got up. "It's okay and I'm the one who should be saying sorry. I shouldn't have ditched you like that." Rainbow apologized.

Pinkie hugged Rainbow. "It's okay Dashie, but um..." Pinkie then let go. "Why did you leave?" She asked.

Rainbow scratched the back of her head. "Uh I... You see, uh."

"Because what you said made it sound like you were a superhero and Twilight even agreed with me." Pinkie explained.

'The gigs up, isn't it?' Rainbow thought then sighed. "Yup, you're right."

Pinkie gasped. "So you really are The Wethermare!?"

"Wait, how'd you guess that?" Rainbow asked.

"Well that's what Twilight guessed, so is she right?" Pinkie explained.

'Of course Twilight found it out.' "Yeah, she's right."

"Oh my gosh, that's so awesome!" Pinkie cheered.

"Heh, I guess it is." Rainbow smiled.

At the moment Rainbow was in a room with Twilight and Pinkie. "Oh, have you fought any villains yet?!" Pinkie asked.

Rainbow sighed. "Pinkie, I've only been doing this for a few days and I've barely even seen the cutie mark crusaders cause trouble." She said, obviously annoyed.

"Do you have any superpowers?" Pinkie continued, she had been asking questions for half an hour. At first they were obvios questions, but now they were just silly. Rainbow just deadpaned.

"I'm pretty sure Rainbow would've told us if she did." Twilight pitched in. "Anyway that seems to be all the questions that make sense, but now I feel the need to tell you something." She said to Rainbow.

"Tell me what?" Rainbow asked.

"Since we've been in Canterlot, there has been a few... Murders." Twilight tried to not choke on the rarely used word.

"What?!" Rainbow and Pinkie yelled at the same time.

"As in, a pony killing another pony?!" Rainbow asked.

"Actually, judging by the victims wounds the murderer is a badger. A honey badger to be specific." Twilight answered. "That or the murderer uses the honey badger as a way to throw the police off their trail."

'Then how are the police gonna track them down?' Rainbow thought, then an idea popped into her mind "Twilight, can you make a map of where the victims lived and make a line going from the first victim to the latest?"

"Why wou- Oh, that's a great idea!" Twilight caught on. "Pinkie, do you have paper and a quill?"

"Yepeerony!" Pinkie confirmed as she grabbed the two items out of nowhere and gave them to Twilight.

Twilight took them then started making a map. After a few minutes she finished. "Rainbow, I think you're right." She said as she gaved the map to Rainbow.

Rainbow looked at the map and just like she expected, it had a pattern. They all led around ponyville. "Wait, all those ponies love animals." Pinkie stated, now suddenly looking over Rainbow's shoulder.

Rainbow looked over the map again. "And if we add that detail to the pattern then that means... Fluttershy's next!" Rainbow immediately left the building and to zoomed towards Fluttershy's cottage.

Once she got there, she saw that the door was open and she could hear a struggle going on inside. Rainbow wasted no more time flying into the cottage and immediately she saw Fluttershy using her right foreleg to stop the Badger from biting and scratching her face. Rainbow didn't know what to do, if she hit the Badger away from Fluttershy, it would tare a part of Fluttershy's leg off with it. Luckily Fluttershy managed to hit the Badger off herself. The second the Badger hit the ground it scampered into the kitchen and Fluttershy followed after it.

"Fluttershy wait!" Rainbow shouted as she followed them into the kitchen. Once there she saw the Badger holding a knife in it's teeth. Fluttershy saw this and in return, grabbed a pan. Seeing that this situation could get out of hoof fast, Rainbow shot forward and bucked the Badger through the wall. Rainbow looked through the hole it made, but saw that the animal was already gone. She looked back and saw Fluttershy fall unconscious from blood loss.

Deciding she could go after the Badger another day, she brought Fluttershy to the hospital.

Episode 3: Spikezilla

One week later and a day, after Spike's birthday, Rainbow was flying over Sweet Apple Acres when she suddenly heard two ponies yell "Help!" She figured that if it was a big problem then she'd get her costume later. So she swooped down and found the two ponies to be Twilight and Applejack, both tied to a tree.

Thus she falls over laughing. "Haha-Don't tell heh me! You tied yourselves up?!" Rainbow asked while laughing.

"Get us out o' this right now!" Demanded AJ, but before Rainbow could say anything, they heard a loud scream. "What was that?" She asked worriedly.

Rainbow hovered off of the ground. "Sounded like Fluttershy to me." She said, now serious. She untied Applejack and Twilight and they all ran to Fluttershy's.

Once they got there Twilight called out for Fluttershy. "I'm here." Fluttershy said, peeking out of a bush.

"What happened?" Twilight asked Fluttershy.

Fluttershy stepped out of the bush, her scars from a week ago still visible. "I was... Uh, watering the flowers when suddenly, a giant rampaging dragon stormed through." She said shakily.

"That was Spike." Twilight admitted.

"Spike? But why would Spike steal my chicken coup?" Fluttershy asked, confused. "He just pulled it out of the ground then filled it with a bunch of apples and stuff." Just when Fluttershy stopped talking. They heard a scream.

"That sounded like Pinkie Pie!" Rainbow informed the others.

"C'mon girls." Twilight said, leading them to Pinkie.

Once they got to Suger Cube Corner they saw Pinkie throwing cakes at Spike.

"Pinkie Pie, stop giving him cake!" Twilight yelled.

Pinkie looked at Twilight. "I'm not giving him cake, I'm assaulting him with cake!" After she said that, she continued with the 'assault'.

Now Rainbow had a good look at Spike. 'Woah, he's way bigger than he used to be' Rainbow mused. Spike then took all of the cake from the shelf that Pinkie was sitting on, making her fall over. Pinkie got up. "How dare you take the cake!" She shouted at Spike, but her anger turned into surprise when Spike suddenly grew, breaking the roof of Sugar Cube Corner. He then ran off.

"He's completely out of control." Said Twilight. "Who knows where he'll go next!" She started chasing after Spike, Rainbow and Fluttershy right behind. Meanwhile AJ had to drag Pinkie out of the broken Sugar Cube Corner. They eventually found Spike only to find that he was even bigger and that he captured Rarity. Rainbow decided to play it smart.

Both Rainbow and Fluttershy flew up to Spike. "Don't worry Rarity, we'll save you." Said Fluttershy.

"Put her down." Demanded Rainbow.

"If you wouldn't mind that is." Fluttershy pitched in.

The dragon didn't seem to care.

"I mean it!" Rainbow threatened.

"We'd be ever so grateful if you could possibly consider putting her down."

Spikezilla was done with them pestering him, so he took a few steps back, turned around and started whacking his tail at them. Rarity said some things, but nopony could hear her. Eventually Rarity's cloak caught Rainbow and Fluttershy, broke and then Fluttershy and Rainbow fell into a river. Rainbow used the opportunity to leave, get her costume on, then come back in a blink of the eye as The Weathermare.

The Wonderbolts then showed up and tried to hit the dragon, instead they just sliced some of Spikzilla's spines off by simply flying through them. They went for another strike, but Spikzilla dodged rather easily, then made his way to a small nearby mountain. He started climbing it, but the Wonderbolts went in for another attack, again missing, but they cut the spines even shorter.

Spikzilla saw a cave a little bit up the mountain, so he climbed up to it and dumped his treasure into it. Once he finished, the Wonderbolts go in for another strike, once again missing. The Weathermare flew closer to the Mountain, but decided to continue watching from afar. The Wonderbolts go in for a straight on attack, but Spikezilla caught them in the water silo he was previously using to hold his treasure, then slammed the silo into the mountain, trapping them.

Weathermare decided that now was a good time to jump into action. She released a cloud from one of her cloud pouches, then punched it, sending a lightning bolt right at Spikezilla. The dragon barely even flinched as the lightening hit him. He scratched at Weathermare, but she narrowly avoided it. She flew up to his face and kicked it, barely doing any damage. The dragon was about to attack again, but suddenly what seemed to be a pony smacked into it's face. The pony that hit the dragon was The Mysterious Mare do Well.

Mare do Well threw two smoke bombs into Spikezilla's eyes, making it drop Rarity. Weathermare swooped down and caught her, then set her on the ground.

"Thank you darling." Said Rarity. Weathermare nodded, then saw Mare do Well get knocked into a building by Spikezilla. She picked up Rarity again and took her further away from the dragon, while doing so she heard Spikezilla roar. She put Rarity down again. "Do you know where that dragon came from?" Rarity asked.

"He's Spike." The Weathermare said simply.

"T-that beast is, Spiky-wiky?" Rarity practically shrieked. Rainbow rolled her eyes, but nodded anyway.

"But how did this happen?" Rarity questioned.

"I don't know, but Spike seems to be after you." Weathermare told Rarity.

"But... Why?" Rarity persisted, she was truly dumbfounded as to why Spike had suddenly become so... Not Spike. Weathermare's answer was simply a shrug.

Twilight ran up to them. "Rai- I-i mean Weathermare, Rarity! Mare do Well said she needs your help." She told them.

"With what?" Asked The Weathermare.

"She needs you to carry Rarity up to Spike and" She turns to Rarity. "She needs you to calm him down." Twilight then remembered something. "Oh yeah, and the dragon's Spike." She told them.

"We know." They responded simultaneously.

"Oh... Well then can you?" Twilight asked, just then they heard a stomp. They all turned and saw Mare do Well narrowly avoiding being stomped on. Without warning The Weathermare scooped Rarity into her forelegs and towards Spikezilla.

"Ahhhh! What are you doing?!" Rarity screamed.

"I need you to stay calm. When we get to Spike, you need tell him to stop." Weathermare told Rarity.

"What if that doesn't work?!" Rarity continued to panick.

"Then we'll have t-" The Weathermare stopped both speaking and moving forward, as she saw Mare do Well get crushed. "Oh no." But, to her relief and surprise, Spikezilla's foot started to be lifted up. The dragon took a step back revealing that MDW was completely fine. Mare do Well pointed at The Weathermare and Rarity and the Spikezilla looked up at them.

Weathermare flew a little closer and let Rarity talk. "Spike? Are you there? What happened to the sweet little dragon that was so kind and generous to everypony?" Rarity asked sweetly. Spike seemed to have calmed down and now looked indeterminate.

"You need to stop stealing. Please, for me?" Rarity pleaded. Those were the magic words. Spikezilla turned back into Spike and began plummeting to the ground.

"Spike!!!" Rarity yelled with worry. Thankfully her worry was short-lived as Spike was caught in Mare do Well's magic.

Weathermare flew down and put Rarity on the ground, with Rarity immediately running over to Spike to give him a death hug. Twilight arrived soon after to give Spike a normal hug. However Weathermare noticed that Mare do Well was walking away.

Weathermare flew in front of Mare do Well, stopping her. "Thank's for the help, to be honest I don't think I could've figured that out." She thanked her.

"I was mostly just a distraction, you did most of the work." Mare do Well responded.

"But it was your plan." Weathermare insisted.

"Yes, but that's all it was, a plan. A plan is useless if nopony follows it." Mare do Well dismissed.

'She's way too modest.' Rainbow thought. "... I guess you're right. Still, thank you."

"No problem." Mare do Well said as she disappeared in a puff of smoke.

Rainbow looked back at her friends. 'I guess I should get going too.'

Episode 4: The black void (part one)

View Online

Rainbow Dash started her day as normal, sleeping in, waking up, getting ready for the day in less than five minutes, going to Sugercube Corner, and then going to work. At least it was a normal day until she got to work. When she got there she found a bunch of pegasi flying away from the weather managing building. Wanting to investigate she zoomed in, but found nothing out of the ordinary.

She was about to leave to track down the weatherponies, but she was suddenly thrown into pitch black darkness. Her eyes darted around the void, searching for anything that might attack. Her gaze finally landed on something, or more accurately, somepony. That pony was Scootaloo, laying on the black ground, seemingly unconscious.

Rainbow flew to Scootaloo and looked her over, but saw no damage on her. Rainbow looked around again, then back at Scootaloo, but now all she saw was the filly's skeleton. Rainbow screamed and stumbled back, she didn't know what was happening. She looked around again, turning her full body each time her neck turned too far.

After a few more spins, she noticed that the skeleton was gone. She took a moment to eye the spot where it was lying, then turned around. She then saw her five friends, dead and mutilated. She was forced to witness their bodies wither away and turn to dust. Rainbow dropped to the floor, at some point had she started crying. She just kept her gaze on the floor not wanting to see any more.

She then realized something, none of this should be real. The fact she was suddenly in a black void, her friends somehow dying and appearing here and withering away so fast. Scootaloo suddenly turning into a skeleton, it all made no sense. She looked up again and now found herself back in the weather managing building.

She stood up and looked around again, this time finding nothing. Rainbow now knew why all the pegasi left, she looked around one last time, wiped the tears from her eyes, then left, not wanting to be there any longer. She was going to find out how that happened, but she would need some help.

Rainbow quickly flew to Twilight's library and crashed through a first floor window, startling Spike. "Woah, Rainbow are you okay?" Spike asked the obviously not okay Pegasus.

Rainbow stood up and zoomed past Spike. "Not now Spike!" She called as she disappeared up the flight of stairs. Rainbow broke through Twilight's door, grabbed her and flew out the window.

"Dah! Rainbow what are you doing!?" Twilight screamed, confused would be too weak of a word to describe how she was feeling.

Rainbow stopped in front of the weather managing building and put Twilight down. "Okay I need your help to find out what in Tartarus caused me to somehow appear in a black room, see Scootaloo dead and see you and the rest of the girls lifeless bodies wither away!" Rainbow panicked.

Twilight took a moment to process what Rainbow said. "Is this a prank?" She asked.

Rainbow's right eye twitched, then she shook Twilight violently. "Do I look or sound like I'm pulling a bucking prank!?" She let go of Twilight and took a step back. "Sorry... But no. This isn't a prank, I'm serious."

Twilight regained her composer. "I-i'm sorry too. I shouldn't have assumed that you would pull a prank on me with something like that."

"Let's not get all mushy, we still have to find out what made me see all those things." Rainbow said, determination clear in her voice.

"Right." Twilight stood up. "How are we gonna figure it out though. I don't know any spell that could make somepony see those type of things."

"You don't have to know of any, just use a spell that can detect if any strong magic has been used recently in this area." Twilight turned to Rainbow with wide eyes. "What?" Rainbow asked.

"When did you get so smart when it comes to magic?" Twilight asked.

"It's not very difficult to use common sense, Twilight." Rainbow rolled her eyes.

Twilight blinked. "Are you the same Rainbow I know?"

Rainbow glared at Twilight. "Just cast the spell."

Twilight nodded and walked into the building, Rainbow right behind. Twilight started casting the spell. "Woah." Twilight said, taking a step back.

"What is it?" Rainbow asked, her annoyance now turned concerned.

"You were right. The magical energy in this room is massive, but it's not a natural cause, it was by a pony!" Twilight exclaimed.

"So somepony is getting their kicks from seeing ponies freak out." Rainbow summarized, venom stinging her tone.

"In short, yes." Twilight shuddered.

"Is there any way to track them?" Rainbow asked.

"Unfortunately, no." Twilight hung her head.

Rainbow contemplated what to do. "We should wait for the next time this pony strikes again." She figured.

"I guess that's the only thing we can do, isn't it?" Twilight asked solemnly. Rainbow could only nod in response.

Cloudsdale was visible on the horizon, meaning that Winter would be arriving soon. Everypony was getting ready in their own way. Some were enjoying the last bit of heat from the summer, others were buying decorations. Rainbow Dash on the other hoof, had a business trip to Cloudsdale.

She had been called in to help plan the Winter alongside Twilight Sparkle. But at the moment. "I know it's faster, and I'm all about that, but why do you want me to lead your hot air balloon again?" Things could be going smoother.

"Because Rainbow, I don't want to risk being tardy." Twilight argued. "Why don't you want to fly?" She countered.

"Because I want to take a break from never relaxing."

"If you want to relax then we can do it at Cloudsdale."

Rainbow sighed. "Fine." She tied a rope around her that was connected to the hot air balloon and began her flight towards Cloudsdale. It didn't take long for Rainbow to fly to Cloudsdale. Once there she landed the hot air balloon onto the cloud. "You should probably cast that walking on clouds spell now."

"Actually it's just a modification spell. It allows me to change the magical properties of a pony for a day. For insta-"

"Twilight!" Rainbow interrupted her. "I don't need the full explanation. Just cast the spell and let's get going."

"Sorry." Twilight apologized. She cast the spell and stepped out of the hot air balloon. "Let's go." They walked towards a large factory. The Rai- I mean Weather Factory. Once there they are greeted by a group of Pegasi.

"Ah, there they are." Said a older mare near the front. She walked up to Twilight and Rainbow, then shook their hooves. "Hello Twilight Sparkle, hello Rainbow Dash."

"Hi." Rainbow responded.

"Hello, I'm guessing you'll lead us to the confress room?" Twilight assumed.

"Yes. My name is ms. puff by the way." Puff moved to the front of the group. "Follow me everypony!" She called out to the group. And just like that the group got on their way. The only things the trip down the hall was full of, was hoofsteps and an errie silence. Eventually the group was led into a room, but upon entry everypony was confused. This wasn't the confress room.

Rainbow and a few others recognized this room though, this was the cloud storage room. This particular section was for lightning clouds. "Umm, ms. Puff? Why are we here." A yellow stallion asked.

"Simple, because I need your help." Puff declared. Suddenly a bolt of lightning struck Twilight unconscious. Puff turned around to face the group. "And I prefer the name Misty Storm!" She shouted as she flew into the air, striking a pose similar to Rarity's during the best young flyers' competition.

As much as Rainbow wanted to attack 'Misty' on the spot, she decided that she should get her gear first. Two stallions fly up to try and apprehend Misty, but she dodges back. Rainbow uses this opportunity while Misty is distracted to fly out of the room, to the hot air balloon, get her costume on, then arrive back just in time to kick one of the stallion's out of the way of a much more powerful lightning bolt.

"The Weathermare? Hohohoho! You're just in time for my little education lesson." Misty cheered venomously.

"And just what exactly is that?" Weathermare aked, narrowing her eyes.

"Why a lesson in history of course. But in short, I need these ponies to help me cover the sky in storm clouds."

"... What?" Weathermare asked, dumbfounded by the shear stupidity of that plan.

"I want to blod out the sun, for the sunrays it emits are toxic and Celestia should be ashamed for forcing us to be exposed to such things !" Misty then laughed maniacally. 'Yup, she's bonkers.' Weathermare mused. "But Celestia should be more than just ashamed. She should pay for it, drastically." She continued dangerously.

Weathermare didn't like where this was going, so she aptly sped forward and punched Misty hard in the face, knocking her back. Misty quickly recovered. "Youth these days, they have no respect for their elders!!!" She yelled as electricity surged around the entire room. Weathermare acted fast, bringing out a large amount of clouds from her pouch to catch the electricity.

Eventually the barrage ended leaving Weathermare with alot of storm clouds, and some broken windows. "Hohohohoho! Looks like you did my job for me!" Misty laughed as a large gust of wind carried the the storm clouds out and into the sky. But instead of realizing she failed, Weathermare smiled. "W-why are you smiling?" Misty asked.

"Tell me, what happens when you have a large amount of electricity and a single storage space that already has a lot of electricity?" Weathermare asked smartly.

"I-it acts like a lightning rod..." Misty said with wide eyes and tone of realization. Suddenly the huge amalgamation of storm clouds shot out all of it's electricity at Misty, turning her into a light bulb for a couple of seconds before finally burning out into... Absolutely nothing. Weathermare considered if that was murder, but Misty was the one who released all that energy, she just didn't expect it to surge back into her. If anything, she killed herself.

Weathermare decided to make sure everypony was okay. "Hey, what about her?" The same yellow stallion from before asked, pointing to the unconscious Twilight.

"I'll take her back to Ponyville." Weathermare answered. "Everypony else, tell the authorities what happened when they get here. And tell them I'm sorry for the mess." She instructed with a salute, then picked up Twilight and flew away to the hot air balloon. She put Twilight in then pumped heat into the balloon, lifting it up. She then flew it back to Ponyville.

Rainbow wanted to know why some ponies were so crazy, but she knew that there probably wasn't an answer. Okay there probably is but she's not actually interested.

Rainbow quickly rolled through the air, determination in her eyes. She turned and flew directly towards the ground, quickly building up speed, the cool wind hitting her face and giving her even more of a rush. The speed she was going at began making a mach cone around her. Just before she hit the ground she made a sharp turn north, narrowly avoiding turning into a rainbow pizza.

The sudden movement also made the cone burst, signifying that the light barrier was broken, and emitting a giant rainbow rainbow spectrum. The sight was truly beautiful... And loud. After slowing down, Rainbow landed and looked to the sky, taking in her work of art.

Sure she'll probably have to explain to Twilight why she just suddenly caused a giant colour explosion, but she couldn't care less at the moment. After a moment or so, the rainbow disappeared. Rainbow lifted into the air and began flying to her house, fully done with practice for the day.

As she got home she heard a rally going on in Ponyville's town square, and so she decided to investigate. She went into town and immediately saw who the townsfolk were gathering around. It was a male Donkey, he was in a roughly similar shape to Cranky, but he looked younger and had brown hair almost completely concealed under a top hat he was wearing which was black. The donkey was also wearing a pinstripe suit and had two brown Minotaurs behind him as his guards. Something about him didn't seem right to Rainbow.

She got closer to the gathering so she could hear the donkey. She started hearing him half way through his sentence. "-stock market situation has been going down hill lately, prices have been rising and with it a good majority of you that own shops are losing a lot of bits. I know this because the same thing is happening to me. But I am ninety nine percent sure that the plan I've come up with will work to set things back to normal." The donkey seemed to have grabbed a lot of ponies attention, though some decided to just leave.

Rainbow could tell by his tone of voice that he was up to no good. It had a menacing growl to it. "If you would like to hear what my plan is, then please take one of these cards, it will tell you where and when to go." The donkey pointed to a table with a goat behind it that had several stacks of cards.

Everypony rushed to the table and grabbed cards. Rainbow swiftly got in line before it got even longer. After a few minutes of waiting, Rainbow was finally able to get a card. As she walked away from the table she noticed that the donkey was now gone, as well as his two Minotaur guards.

Rainbow flew home and when she went inside she examined the card. The place that the gathering was going to be held at was a place just outside of town. The area was relatively close to the Everfree Forest, and Rainbow found it rather shady, or perhaps she was just being paranoid, which would be a first. The time it was being held at was from 8:00-10:30 pm, rather late for a gathering. Below the when and where she saw a name. 'Mentira'

She decided that it would be a good idea to investigate the building and see if there are any other ways to get in and if so, where they lead.

Rainbow had arrived at the building, it looked like an old lumber building, but it was in relatively good shape. The area around it had withered tree stumps, but other than that, the grass, the sky, and the air quality was fine. She also noted that it smelled like firewood.

She took to the skies and circled the building, watching for any windows, doors, or even cracks so that she could enter the building discreetly. The building was completely made from wood, thus it would probably be weak with age. She saw a decent sized hole that she could probably squeeze through. If it wasn't large enough then it would probably break open more as she squeezed through.

She did just that and was now inside the building. The room she was now in seemed to be some sort of storage room, but it was completely empty. She crept to the only thing of note in the room, a door. She slowly opened it and peaked out. The room she saw was full of Minotaur guards and seemed to be the gathering room. Looks like she had a perfect entrance point.

It had been several hours since The Weathermare had looked for an entrance in the lumber-mill and had just put her costume on. It was now 7:30 and it was almost time for the gathering to begin. the Weathermare left the cloud house and towards the lumber-mill. Once she arrived she went through a hole in one of the walls. Now inside she crept up to the door and listened.

"Is everything ready?" She heard the donkey, Mentira, whisper to someone else.

"Yes sir!" The presumably guard yelled in confirmation.

"Shhh! Shutup!" Mentira hissed. "We're supposed to be discreet."

"Sorry." The guard whimpered.

"Good. Now make sure not to make that mistake again." Mentira threatened.

After that there was silence for several minutes. Eventually she heard doors open and a large amount of hooves trotting on wood. Suddenly Mentira began to speak. "Hello everypony! Welcome to the gathering i have set up. Now, as promised, I shall tell you all what my plan is to stop many ponies from losing bits." The crowd began speaking up. "Please calm down. My plan is to essentially form a vote, a vote were we choose weather the stock prises will continue going up, or not. But the problem is my company is losing money too, we cannot start the vote without the proper resources, which we cannot afford." The crowd stirred up again, but quieted down by itself.

"What we need is enough money so we can start the vote, and when the vote succeeds, then we'll all have stable lives again. What we are asking for are donations so we can start the vote and fix the stock market. Does this make sense?" Whispers of agreement are heard. "So what say you? Will you help us fix the market?!" The entire crowed cheered.

Weathermare put thought on what he said, nothing seemed wrong or deceitful about the plan, but Mentira's voice still held a sort of cruelty to it. Not just that but she was still suspicious of Mentira's words before the gathering started. She decided to wait for the gathering to end, then she'll listen in on what Mentira says.

"The donation box is over there. Every bit will go a long way!" Mentira preached.

It took a full, boring hour for the crowd to dissipate and for Mentira to announce his leaving of the room. Weathermare slipped out of the room and quickly zoomed up to the ceiling. She stayed close to it and luckily no one looked up. She searched for a weak point in the wooden wall. She then used a cloud to muffle the noise of her pushing the wood to break it apart, making a hole in the wall. She put the cloud back in her pouch then went through the hole.

Once in she immediately saw Mentira and a few guards. She saw a left over stack of logs and swiftly hid behind it. ""Boss, we have already obtained over a thousand bits." A goat reported to Mentira.

Mentira gave a dark chuckle. "Good. Once we get enough money we'll start the 'vote'. the vote will be rigged so that it will not go through, thus the stock market will only get more expensive. These naive foals don't know that my company IS the stock market."

"Sir, is it really wise to monologue your whole plan?" The goat asked.

Nothing was heard, so Weathermare peaked out from her cover, seeing Mentira giving the goat a glare. Afterwards Mentira calmed down. "As I was saying; My plan is going off without a hitch."

'So that's what he is really doing. Well now I can stop him... Hold on, it doesn't seem like many ponies know who Mentira is, they may not believe me... But I know who they will believe.' Weathermare thought. She exited the lumber-mill and began flying towards Ponyville.

Twilight was simply re-stacking the bookshelves in the Library when she suddenly heard a knock at the door. She gently lay the books she was holding in her magic down, then went to the door. She opened the door and saw Rainbow Dash.

"Hey Twilight. I actually wanted some help to research something." Rainbow said.

Twilight was about to respond but then she realized what Rainbow just said. 'Rainbow wants to do research on something!?' Twilight seemed to shut down.

"Uhh, Twilight? You okay?" Rainbow asked with concern.

Twilight shook her thoughts into place. "Yeah, I'm fine. Uh, what do you want to research?"

"Not what, who." Rainbow corrected. "You probably heard of the gathering that went on earlier. Well that gathering was held by a donkey named Mentira." Twilight instantly recognized that name.

"Oh, do you mean the CEO of Glunica, a company that is the main head of the stock market?" Twilight asked/explained.

"Uhh, I guess so, yeah."

"Why do you want to do research on him?"

"Because I spied on him, yeah that isn't right but he was really suspicious." Twilight raised an eyebrow. "Anyways I heard him explain his plan to get money for a vote that would be rigged BY HIM."

Twilight put her hoof to her chin in thought. "I can see how that'd work, not many ponies know of him, just his company. But the only way for him to submit the vote would be anomalously so that no one knows he was lying."

"So now that I know that, could you send a letter to Celestia telling her about what he's doing? I'm gonna stop him in his tracks."

"Right, I'll tell her to send guards to the, uhh, where was the gathering?"

"At the lumber-mill."

"Okay, to the lumber-mill."

"Anyway gotta go!" And with that, Rainbow left, leaving Twilight to send Celestia a late night letter.

As the Weathermare approached the lumber-mill, she saw Minotaurs moving a big box of 'donations' with several others standing guard. She also saw Mentira in the field as well, watching over the operation. She swooped down and a Minotaur looked up and noticed her. He shouted to the others and now all eyes were on her, perfect.

Weathermare pulled out a storm-cloud from her pouch the kicked it, directing it at the guards holding the donation box. All of the guards dropped the box and escaped the range of the lightening strike. Weathermare zoomed down and kick a guard in the face, knocking the down. Three other guards charged at her from all sides. but she simply flew upwards, letting the Minotaurs run into each other.

Two goats pulled out slingshots and tried hitting Weathermare with rocks, which she easily avoided. She went down to the goats and flew in between them. They took aim and fired, she swiftly moved out of the way, making the goats shoot each other.

She moved towards Mentira, but he pulled up a cane he apparently had and kept her at a distance. Just then two Minotaurs charge at her. She bucked one in the chest, stopping him instantly, then jumped over the other and kicked him in the back, sending him stumbling into Mentira's cane.

She now flew around the cane a hit Mentira to the ground. "Gah! You can't do this to me! I did nothing wrong!" He pleaded, pretending to be terrified.

"The evidence proves otherwise Mr. Mentira. You'll be under arrest when the police arrives." Weathermare shot back. She punched him in the face, knocking him out cold.

Soon afterward the police arrived and arrested Mentira and his men, they also decided to call him Silver-tongue as an alias. Though Rainbow liked her name for him better, Asshat.

Episode 8: Winter is coming -part 1

View Online

Winter had finally begun, meaning that Rainbow was super excited about the day. She was ready for anything that life could throw her way. She left her house and checked her mailbox just in case. To her surprise she saw an envelope. She took it out of the mailbox, assuming that it was just some advertisement.

Though as she opened it, she saw that it wasn't an advertisement. It was a message telling her that she was needed in Fillydelphia. She made a sound of annoyance and flew back up to her house. She really didn't understand why they didn't ask somepony else, why her? Even though she found it annoying, she knew that somepony had to do it, and that somepony was unfortunately her.

She put some winter clothes on and was about to head out when she suddenly looked back. After pondering about it, she decided to bring her costume with her just in case. With that done she began her flight to Fillydelphia. After only flying a relatively short distance, she saw heavy blizzard clouds above where Fillydelphia would be over the horizon.

'That blizzard looks too dangerous for a city, who set that up?' She wondered, but she decided to save her questions for later. For now she picked up her pace and began forwarding for mach three speeds. She would have gone faster, but that would be too dangerous in this kind of weather.

She arrived about an hour later, finding that the blizzard, while bad still wasn't bad enough to knock buildings over. She noticed a team of Pegasi struggling to stop the blizzard, but they didn't seem to be affecting it at all. She flew over to who she assumed was the captain, a grey Pegasus who looked like he was really pissed off.

"Hey!" Rainbow yelled over the bellowing wind of the blizzard. She was able to draw the stallion's attention. "Are you the captain!?" He gave a simple nod, obviously easier then trying to speak louder than the storm roars. "I'm Rainbow Dash, the one they sent to help your team!"

"Then get to helpin' us!" The captain shouted back.

Rainbow firmly nodded then flew closer to the giant blizzard cloud to examine it. Thankfully Pegasi are better at dealing with drastic weather conditions, or else she would be a multicolored Popsicle. She touched the cloud, only for it to feel as sturdy as freshly cut wood. It was like the clouds that made up Cloudsdale, but even stronger.

But it takes a good amount of time to make hardcloud. How did the blizzard suddenly show up, but be even tougher than Cloudsdale? Rainbow decided to test her theory by back up, then charging at full speed at the cloud. As she made contact it felt like she just faceplanted into a steel wall, not very fun. The next thing she knew and she was plummeting to the ground.

She twisted through the air so her underside was facing the ground. She then stabilized her wings, allowing her to safely glide. She would have continued gliding in one direction if it wasn't for the wind picking up. She continued adjusting her wings until she came to a somewhat rough landing onto a building.

Now out of sight, she decided to change into her Weathermare costume. It could help her last against the weather for much longer. She flew back towards the cloud, this time checking for weak spots. If she could punch a hole into the cloud, then she could hopefully destroy it from the inside.

She searched for quite a while, but couldn't find any flaws in the cloud. She looked around herself, checking to see how much the blizzard had become worse. Just then, she spotted something that seemed to be the source of the problem. A continuous stream of clouds was rising from a specific point on the ground. Weathermare flew towards the seemingly source of the blizzard, finding that it was coming from the police department.

She then saw somepony who she didn't expect to see at all; Mare do Well. The caped crusader was gliding through the air towards the police department, seemingly already aware of where the blizzard originated from. Weathermare followed her and watched in awe as Mare do Well effortlessly bucked the door into next year.

MDW was about to go in, but Weathermare had some questions first. "Hold up! Why are you here? How'd you get here?" She asked. Mare do Well had turned to face her mid sentence.

"I'd ask the same thing, but I'm pretty busy at the moment." Mare do Well said, then turned around and continued walking.

"Hold on!" Weathermare caught up to MDW. "I'm going too."

"Good, I may need assistance." Weathermare's wings got de-synced, but she caught herself. She was expecting to be told that she shouldn't.

They continued through the building and into a hallway. They saw several ponies, but they weren't alive. They were frozen solid, terrified expressions on their faces. Some were cowering, others looked like they were screaming. Either they were crying for help, or they were screaming in pain. Rainbow honestly felt sick. Eventually they came to a two way split, meaning they'd have to split up.

"So who goes which way?" Weathermare asked.

"I'll go left, you go right." Mare do Well decided.

"What?! Do I not get a say in this? One of us is going to find whoever did this!" Weathermare said in concern.

Mare do Well pulled a device out of a pocket and held it out for Weathermare to take. "Take this, it'll allow us to communicate from wherever we are in a one thousand mile radius." Weathermare took the device in her hoof. "Put it in your ear and press the button on it to speak to me. If I come across the pony who did this then I'll tell you on the device. The same goes for you." Mare do Well explained.

"Okay? I think I get it." Weathermare said as she put the device in her ear.

"Also if you flip a switch on it then you'll be able to speak to a friend of mine. She can assist you with bio's and information in general."

"Wait, you have friends?" Weathermare joked.

"Very original." Mare do Well said sarcastically as she began walking through the left hall. "Good luck."

Weathermare released a deep breath, now faced with only her objective. With a sigh, she walked into the right hall and began her way deeper into the building.

To be continued...

Episode 9: Winter is coming -part 2

Weathermare continued through the hallways full of frozen death, trying her best not to look at the bodies. She came across a wall of ice which blocked her path forward. She nervously smiled. "Well looks like that's the end of this hallway. Time t-" She began just before the ice formed into two ice wolves, both now growling at Weathermare. She gulped. "Uhh, n-nice dogs?" She offered.

As the wolves pounced Weathermare swiftly slid out of the way. She pulled out a storm could and punched it, sending lightning through both of the wolves, quickly melting them. She breathed heavily as she calmed down, she really didn't like anything resembling timberwolves.

She flew through the hall, not wanting to spend any more time in the open. Suddenly icicles shot out of the ice covered walls, nearly hitting her. It seemed that something didn't want her to continue down the hall. She saw a open door and immediately flew into it, then shut the door. Now inside she saw a pile... Of corpses. It seemed like all these ponies tried to huddle for warmth.

Suddenly the pile moved, making Weathermare jump in her fur. She feared that the corpses would somehow come to life, like frostbitten zombies. The pile stopped moving, allowing Weathermare to calm her nerves. She was shivering with fear and because of the slightly more than chilly atmosphere. She then remembered what Mare do Well said about calling a 'friend' on the communicator.

She put her hoof up to her ear and flips the switch on the side of it, then she pressed the button on the device and held it down. "Hello?' She tests. After a low buzzing noise she hears a static sounding female voice.

"Hello. I am Informer. I will help you with anything you need if you so ask." The voice, Informer, said.

"Okay? Umm, if so, is there a way you could tell me if anypony is... A-alive in that pile of... Frozen ponies in front of me?" Weathermare asked, having some trouble putting the situation into words.

Weathermare heard some more buzzing, then a response. "I can confirm that there are three living organisms in the pile of corpses. One of them seems to be nearing deadly levels of hypothermia. You must act quickly." Informer explained. Weathermare's eyes widened at that and immediately began deciphering how she would free the ponies in the pile. "I would recommend manually moving the bodies, and put some clouds around the pile to preserve the bodies."

Weathermare grimaced but she knew that was the only option. She took out a large amount of condensed cloud and put it next to the pile, then started rolling bodies onto it. Eventually she found the first breathing pony in the pile. She took out a warmer cloud, then put the pony into it. She continued digging through the pile until she found the next breathing pony, but telling by how unsteadily he was taking breathes, he wouldn't live long without proper help. Weathermare put him in the warm cloud as well.

She was about to search for the last pony, but the communicator suddenly bleared back up; startling her. "Weathermare, do you read me!?" She heard Mare do Well call on the the device.

Weathermare quickly used her right wing to flip the switch on the device, then pressed down the button as she continued searching through the pile. "I hear ya." She responded. Just as she said that she heard ice breaking. "What's going on?"

She heard a huff of breath, then more ice shattering. "Just taking care of some ice golems!" She heard Mare do Well say with a exasperated breath. Weathermare raised an eyebrow, but then she remembered the ice wolves. "I also found the source of the blizzard." Another crash of ice. "At least I think I did." Mare do Well sighed. "How 'bout you?"

Weathermare found the last survivor, then put her on the warm cloud since this one was a Pegasus. "I fought off some ice wolves, then found some survivors. I'm gonna head out of the building now. Think you can handle things in here?"

"Probably. Still, come back as soon as you can." Mare do Well said as Weathermare condensed the cloud under the other two ponies, then began for the exit.

"Got it." She then took her wing off the button and began carrying the cloud out.

As Weathermare exited the building she nearly flew straight into a fully armoured pony. "Woah! Who?" She questioned.

"No. Who are you and what are you doing with these ponies?" The pony asked, pointing to the cloud with three ponies on Weathermare's back.

"Err, I'm Weathermare. I'm bringing these ponies to the closest hospital." She answered. "Uh, where would that be?" She asked.

"Down two blocks to the left. I'm Alloy by the way. Do you know if anypony else is in there?"

"Yeah. Mare do Well, you probably heard of her." Weathermare confirmed. Alloy nodded then galloped into the building. "Well that happened." Weathermare mused as she began flying to the hospital.

She dropped the ponies off at the hospital then immediately flew back to the FPD. She was about to enter when she suddenly noticed something; the blizzard stopped. She flew into the building then to where she assumed Mare do Well would be. when she arrived she saw that Alloy was there too.

"Guess what. The blizzard stopped on it's own." She told them. They both just stared at her because of her sudden appearance and good news.

"Well that's... Good." Mare do Well remarked.

After that they went their separate ways, Rainbow still had to file a report on the whole blizzard debacle... Fun. But at least she didn't have to see any more corpses. Hopefully.

Episode 10: Leave me alone! (Accidental Halloween special)

View Online

It was in the middle of the night and Rainbow was sleeping in her bed, nothing out of the ordinary. That was until a sudden loud clanging noise woke her up with a start. Her eyelids sprung open and her eyes darted around the room, searching for any danger that she may have woken up to. Seeing nothing, she decided to simply lay her head on her pillow and go back to sleep. Or she was going to until she heard another clang, this time louder. She groaned in irritation and concluded that she wasn't going to sleep until she found out what was making that noise.

She got out of bed and sleepily trotted to her bedroom door and opened it. As she did, she heard another clang, once again louder. Her anger slowly bubbling, she searched the rooms upstairs, but found nothing. She grumbled as she finally decided to go downstairs, then she heard another clang. As she reached the bottom of the stairs, she noticed she wasn't in her cloud home anymore. She quickly spun around, only to find a stone wall before her.

She narrowed her eyes and turned back around, now ready to fight if she had to. Though what she saw wasn't exactly something she was prepared for. It was her, Rainbow Dash, beating a filly to a bloody pulp. Her heart began to pump faster as her brain registered what she was seeing. She managed to find it within herself to know it wasn't real, but it didn't make the scene any less graphic. Some part of her mind told her to get closer, and though she didn't entirely want to, she did it anyway. Upon closer inspection she could see who the filly was: Scootaloo.

Rainbow gasped sharply and shut her eyes, then looked away, not wanting to see the scene continue on. After waiting ten minutes she believed it would be over, so she opened her eyes. This time she saw only Scootaloo, but not all of her, only her head. She took a sharp breath then quickly exhaled and stepped back.

"It's not real." She breathed out, reminding herself once again. As she said that, she realised that this is similar to when she was in the weather managing place. With that in mind she continued to repeat the thought 'It isn't real.' in her head while closing her eyes. After several moments she opened her eyes again, but found that she was now tied to a wooden table with a single light in the room. She began to struggle in her binds in panic as she found that the nightmare hadn't stopped. Why didn't it stop?!

Rainbow eventually heard a familiar voice. "Oh Dashie~!" The voice of her bouncy pink friend sang. Out from the darkness came the pink pony, but she looked... Different; her coat and mane looked like they were grayer. Speaking of her mane, it was straight down, like when she thought her friends didn't like her parties and didn't want to be her friends anymore. But this time she still held a large grin, but it looked more menacing and sadistic.

"Pinkie?" Rainbow asked, completely forgetting that she was in a nightmare, almost as if it was forcibly removed. "Why am I strapped down?"

"Oh that? Well I was gonna have fun with you, remember?" Pinkie giggled.

The nightmare forged a memory of what might have happened before. Ate cupcake, passed out, pinkie standing over her with a devilish grin. As the 'memory's' came flooding back Rainbow tilted her head in a questioning manner, or at least as much as she could. "I-i guess? Is this a prank or somethin' 'cause, this is a bit too much."

Pinkie giggled again. "Oh silly, this isn't a prank, this is simply play time, then we get to make cupcakes!" She said as she slowly trotted towards Rainbow.

"P-playtime? Th-this doesn't look very fun then." Rainbow said, becoming more and more wary.

"Well, it may not be very fun to you." Pinkie said as she took a scalpel out of her hair and held it to Dash's cutiemark, making Rainbow's eyes widen and her fur start to stain with sweat. "But I'll have a blast!" Pinkie shouted in enjoyment as she stabbed the knife into Rainbow's thigh, just bellow her cutiemark.

Pinkie Pie was humming to herself as she was making a random midnight cupcake as a snack. She was in the middle of putting on the icing when she heard a scream, which made her spray the icing everywhere. "Oops." She muttered nervously. She put the icing down and decided to put off on cleaning the newly made mess so that she could investigate where the scream came from.

Leaving Sugercube Corner, she began bouncing in a random direction as she thought back on what the scream sounded like, all the while having her tongue sticking out of her mouth. "Iph phounded ike Raimbow Daph." Pinkie said to herself as she continued hopping in the surprisingly right direction and her tongue still sticking out.

As she approached the cloud mansion she put her tongue back in it's proper place, then looked up at it. "Dashie!" She called her friend's name, but got nothing as an answer. She decided to simply yell again. "Hello, Dashie!?" And again, no reply. She was now just a bit concerned and she yelled once again. "Dashie, you up there?!"

Rainbow had just lost consciousness and was suddenly jolted back into a groggy stupor. "Dashie!" She heard Pinkamena call to her, probably giddy for more brutal dismemberment. "Hello, Dashie!?" That was odd, why was Pinkie yelling so loudly. "Dashie, you up there!?" Now that was out of place. Rainbow opened her eyes and found that she was back in her cloud house, safe from Pinkamena and whatever else the nightmare might have thrown at her. She slowly got up as she heard her friend call for her again. "Dashie! Are you okay!?" Pinkie sounded really worried.

Rainbow shook her head to clear her thoughts, then went outside to see why her friend was there and probably thank her. She looked down and caught sight of Pinkie, who also saw Rainbow. Pinkie breathed out in relief. "Oh good, you're okay." She then laughed. "Pretty silly of me to get so worked up isn't it?"

Rainbow flew down to her and landed on the ground, still having flashes of what she saw, making her a bit cautious of Pinkie. "N-not really." Rainbow admitted.

Pinkie tilted her head and raised a curious eyebrow. "Not really? What do you mean by that?" She asked.

"Well, I don't know if Twilight told you, but a few weeks ago there was an incident at the weather managing building. Everypony just began hallucination for what seemed like no reason. So me and Twilight decided to see if we could figure it out, but the most we found out was that a Unicorn must have caused it." Rainbow explained.

"Sooo, what?" Pinkie questioned, a little confused on how this was relevant.

"Basically I just had it happen to me again. Luckily you came and, woke me up? I dunno, anyway thanks." Rainbow said, still a little confused herself.

"Oh. What happened in your hallucination, dream, nightmare, thingymabobber?" Pinkie asked, to which Rainbow grimaced.

"I-i'd rather not talk about it." Rainbow said quickly. How would she tell Pinkie that she had a nightmare of being tortured by her without making Pinkie feel bad? She decided she just wouldn't tell her.

"Okie-dokie-lokie, you don't have to tell me." Pinkie smiled and turned to leave. "But don't be afraid to!" She shouted as she bounced away. Rainbow was about to fly back up to her cloud house until she heard Pinkie again. "Stay safe!!!" Rainbow rolled her eyes and hopped into flight. She had to tell Twilight about this when morning came around, but for now she wanted to do some digging for herself and maybe actually get some sleep.

Cancellation?

View Online

Okay, so... I don't really know how to go about this... Basically I will be cancelling The Weathermare and it's sister stories, but not forever! And by not forever, I mean that I'll be making a reboot at some point. Now obviously you may have some questions why and I've already came prepared with two.

1: I have a lot of things to deal with right now and a lot to write. If you'd like to ask for more details then go ahead, but I won't answer personal questions.

2: The first few chapters of this story were honestly pretty bad and beyond my ability to fix them. Not just that but for some unimaginable reason I decided to split the story into three. I should have just had one and switch perspectives accordingly to each chapter.

Most of these are my own fault and I understand that, but I can't keep myself between everything. Once again I'd like to mention that I won't leave this story to be forgotten, I will make a reboot in the future and it'll be much better than how this started. I've learned many things while making this story and I hope to use them in the remake of it. But quality takes time and I still have things in real life I have to deal with, so it may be a while before I get working on it. But I will, and I hope you'll be there to read it.

Until then, keep a balanced mind and thanks for reading!
