An alternate tale of Equestria Girls where Twilight never went through the portal and her human conterpart was the one who saves the school

Twilight Sparkle, described by many as the brightest girl they know, decide to leave the prestigious school of Crystal Prep and go to a new school: Canterlot High. She wanted to a brighter and more relaxed setting for her education. However, even though she wanted to change school, Twilight does not have an interest in making friends.

But on her first day of her new school, Twilight come across a crown. Everyone told her that it's the crown that they gunna use for the upcoming dance; the Fall Formal. However, Twilight feels that there is something wrong with the crown. It didn't help matters that Sunset Shimmer, the ruler of the school, is being cruel to her for no adequately explained reason.

Will Twilight solve the mystery of the school? Will she discover a world that isn't too far from her own? What will become of the group of ex-friends that she is keep running into? Will Twilight Sparkle Learn the magic of friendship before the big dance?

Prologue- Twilight leaves Crystal Prep

Twilight Sparkle, as described by her teachers, was a bright young girl with a keen interest in learning. She is a dedicated student who often works hard on projects and receives high marks in return. There wasn't any mystery on how she got into Crystal Prep. Crystal Prep, in turn, was a prestigious school that only accept the best and brightest.

However, despite how prestigious the school is, Twilight was never quite happy with going to Crystal Prep. The students there are overachievers, but they take their academics so seriously that they tend to be cold to one another and often give Twilight a hard time. They see that if you don't do anything by yourself, then you aren't worth their time or attention. Service to say, she didn't get along well within this school.

However, things were about to change for her. Against what everyone would expect, Twilight had decided on leaving Crystal Prep and plan on transferring to a new school. What is that new school? Canterlot High, Crystal Prep's rival school.

On her last week of going to Crystal Prep, Twilight was eagerly carrying box through the hall. After the years of being tripped and being bumped into, she was able to dodge any incoming students and move out of their way. It also helps that the box that she was carrying was also light. Eventually, Twilight stopped when she reached her locker.

She quickly puts in her combination and cracks open her locker. When it was open, Twilight then began on taking out her books that she had to keep there and putting them in her box. Twilight was feeling a bit sentimental as she was doing it. She never really needed her books except on a few occasion. It just that even though she was eager on leaving the school, she still want to have something to remind her of Crystal Prep. And besides, Twilight can't leave a good book behind.

But then, as she was done packing her books, Twilight suddenly heard a voice. "So you really are transferring to Canterlot High" said the voice as it asks out. As Twilight wonder where the voice came from, Twilight's locker door suddenly shuts and Sugar Coat was revealed to be behind it.

Surprised, Twilight jump back and yelled: "AH!" Once she saw who it was, she then says: "Oh Sugar Coat, it was you."

Calmed down, Twilight then answer her question. "Yeah, I'm just getting my stuff ready and I'm leaving here tomorrow."

Without looking phased, Sugar Coat then says to her: "Really? It's weird that somebody from a school like this wants to go to a school like that."

"Well, I don't care which school I'll go to" Twilight retorted.

However, Sugar Coat then interrupted her and says: "Well obviously you do care since you want to get away from here." This causes Twilight to be annoyed for a second.

After calming down, Twilight says to Sugar Coat: "Look! Does it really matter which school I'm at as long that I get my education?" And then, in a moment of motivation, she stated: "Heck! I bet that I would be the smartest student at Canterlot High!"

However, Sugar Coat remained to be un-phased. Unintentionally ruining Twilight's mood, she told her: "... Well, you do whatever you want to do. I don't really care. Just don't expect a happy reunion at the Friendship Games" and she then left leaves.

Twilight was both annoyed and disappointed that Sugar Coat wasn't at all upset to see her gone. It reminds her one of the reasons why she wants to transfer. However, Twilight decide not to hold it against her since she knows that she is like that and at least she didn't make fun of her for transferring. After making a huff, she picked up her box and went and finishes collecting the rest of her stuff.

After making a small trip across the school, Twilight Sparkle finally arrived at her private study. It was small little room where she would do all of her important school projects which she would often do by herself. She had a giant clipboard which helps organize her schedule and help visualize her thoughts. She has a few important machines lying about, but she never had a reason to use them. Honestly, since most of this stuff is school property, Twilight doesn’t have a lot of things to pack away. However, there was still one thing that she can't leave behind.

When Twilight took a slight peak under the table, a small purple puppy leaps out from under. Catching her off guard, the dog causes Twilight to fall down on her back and he climbs on top of her. As he began licking and kissing her face, Twilight cry out: "*Ha! Ha!* Ok Spike, Stop It! *Ha! Ha! Ha!* It Tickles!" The dog was named Spike and he was Twilight's pet.

Unbeknownst to the principal's notice, Twilight often (but not intentionally) take Spike to school with her. He often follows her to school and it's very hard to take him back. Whenever Twilight tells him to go home, Spike would give her a sad, puppy dog look that Twilight could never resist. She often keeps him in the study and hides him away from the teacher (except Dean Cadence who helps her keep Spike a secret). If he was ever be found, she would get into a lot of trouble, especially since the principal has allergies to fur. However, Spike is one clever dog. Possibly even as clever as Twilight. Say something to him and he would more than likely understands it. And with his cleverness, Twilight managed to take her pet to school and never get caught.

But then, as Twilight was struggling to get Spike off of her and stop him from licking her, they both suddenly stopped when they heard someone's voice by the doorway. "Well, I'm glad to see that you got everything sorted" said a voice in a cheerful tone.

At first, Twilight was worried that it was a teacher and they had caught her with Spike. However, when they look up, they became relieved and happy to see that it was Dean Cadence. "Cadence!" Twilight cry out cheerfully.

Embarrassed that Cadence is seeing her like this, Twilight quickly got Spike off of her, swiftly got up from the floor. After brushing off any dog hair that may have got onto her, she asks her: "What are you doing here?"

Cadence replied: "I just wanted to see if you got everything ready?"

"Oh, I have" Twilight replied back. "Books are packed, schedules and checklists are checked, and by next Monday, I'll be absolutely ready to attend CHS!"

Cadence chuckle and says: "Well that's good." But then, she suddenly felt a bit of somber when she steps closer into the room. "I still can't believe that you are leaving here so soon."

"Aww Cadence! Are you gonna miss me?"

"Yeah... sort of." she replied. However, she quickly turns around, places a hand on Twilights shoulder and says: "But at the same time, I'm happy for you. This is your chance to have a fresh start on your school life."

Feeling touched, Twilight told her: "Thanks, Cadence."

However, as Twilight was appreciating the moment that she has with older sister figure, Cadence suddenly says something that damper her mood.

"This is your moment to make some friends."

"What!?"

"Yeah! Like meeting more people within your own age group, finding out that others might like the same stuff that you do and just socialize more with other people."

As Cadence was going on and on about the positives of friendship, Twilight steadily grew... wearisome. After spending years within a harsh school environment, she lost the point in having friends. She knows that no one at her new school won't be as intellectual as her, she wouldn't need any friends to help her on her work and she is very much happy on staying by herself. However, Twilight knows that Cadence wouldn't like it to hear any of that so she nervously says: "Yeah..."

Cadence quickly picked up Twilight's discomfort. Concerned, she cries: "Twilight?"

Twilight knows that Cadence is onto her. Hesitantly, she says: "Well you see..."

"Twilight!" Interrupted Cadence, sounding stern.

"... I managed to get by so far by myself, so I don't really see the point..."

"Twilight!" yelled Cadence, accidentally letting her voice to get the best of her.

The room went into an eerie silence as both girls felt slightly embarrassed. Spike was sitting on the ground, awkwardly looking at both of them. After taking a deep breath to calm herself, Cadence politely ask Twilight: "Will you at least try to make some friends at your new school?"

Twilight still doesn't like the idea. However, she doesn't want to upset Cadence even more. Begrudgingly, she replied: "... I guess I could try."

"That's good..." Cadence replied softly. When she could see that Twilight still has some reserves about making, she got up close and says to her: "Listen Twilight. Even though you might be ok with not making friends, but sometimes Twilight, people need a friend to help them to get through tough times. All I'm trying to say is... I just want you to be happy."

"Thanks, Cadence. It means a lot" Twilight replied.

But then, as they were enjoying the nice heartwarming moment, Cadence thought that the moment still needs to be a bit more cheerful. She says to Twilight: "And besides, we can still see each other sometimes."

Smirking, Twilight asks: "Like when?"

"Like whenever I have to come to Canterlot for some school related stuff."

But then, Twilight humorously adds: "Or whenever you want to see Shining Armor?"

"Twilight!" Cadence yell out in embarrassment. Despite being embarrassed, both her and Twilight began laughing out loud to their own amusement and Spike just roll his eyes.

A few days later, on the eve of Twilight's first day on going to her new school, Canterlot High was completely empty for the night. The students were long gone and the teachers had gone home for the night. With nobody around, a cloaked figure suddenly appeared and trespasses on school site.

The figure did not try to break into the school or try to steal anything from them. They just stand outside in the front yard and by the school's horse statue. There, the cloaked figure waited. They waited and they waited. And then, when the moon had reached its highest point in the night's sky, something happened. On the side that faces towards the main school, the school's statue light up and a strange gateway had suddenly appeared.

Ecstatic to see the portal, the cloaked figure gleefully says out loud: "Finally! The portal has finally open once again!" As the cloak step closer towards the portal, they then say: "Soon, every-pony will finally realize how important I'm really am."

And with that said, the cloaked figure then walked into the statue and suddenly disappears. The figure was gone and the portal light slowly dies down, nobody will ever realize who was just here and what magical event that just transpires.

Chapter 1- Begining The Path Of Friendship

On a bright and sunny morning, Twilight Sparkle was eagerly making her way to her new school.

In fact, it was close enough for her to walk. As she was walking along the side walk and appreciating a lovely sunny day, Twilight was slowly getting excited and can't wait to start learning again. She was positive in the directions that she made for herself, but it wasn’t until she saw some teenagers going in the same direction that she was that she finally became confident.

Eventually, Twilight finally found her new school: Canterlot High. In the poachers and photos that she saw, Twilight got the impression that it was a nice place to learn. It might not be the best place to learn, but she was actually quite eager to get started.

However, just before she cross the road, Twilight suddenly heard a sound of a little dog barking. As the sound was getting closer and closer, Twilight slowly realize that she recognize the voice. When she look back at the path that she came from, she saw an adorable little puppy that she knew.

“Spike!” yelled Twilight in surprise.

When Spike reaches the owner that he loves, Twilight picks him up. As she was about to say something to him, Spike gave her some quick kissing/licking which cause her to giggle.

When she got him away from her face, Twilight says to Spike: “What are you doing here Spike? Aren’t you supposed to be at home?”

“Oh come on Twilight. I want to see how your new school is like” Spike replied. Spike couldn't actually speak, only think the words that he wants to say. However, Twilight and Spike known each other for so long, she could not only imagine what he is trying to say to her, but often get it right.

Twilight put Spike and tries to be stern with him. She told him: “Now Spike, I know how much you like coming to school with me, but I just can't this time. I have to take you home.”

However, Spike gave Twilight his biggest, saddest puppy dog’s eyes in response. And unfortunately for Twilight, she hasn’t won a battle against those eyes yet and she couldn’t win against them now. When she couldn’t take it anymore, she begrudgingly says to him: “OK! Fine! I don’t really have enough time to get you home anyway.”

As the little dog was jumping and dancing to his victory, Twilight picks him up and stuffs him in her backpack. “But you have to stay in here” she told him.

“I’m cool with that” Spike replied.

And now finally, Twilight had crossed the road and arrived at her new school. As she was making her way to the front door, Twilight was imagining what this new school will be like. She was imagining what will be happen when she would get introduce to her new class. Imagine what kind of clubs that they have. Wondering if there is any kind of dumb jocks that she would be smarter than. But whatever that will happen, Twilight was hoping this would be a good change.

But then, as she was walking up to the horses statue (which she couldn’t help to be impressed by the way), Twilight slowly began hearing someone crying. She couldn’t tell where it was coming from exactly, she could tell it was nearby and she couldn’t help but to feel sad. And then, when she walked to the other side of the statue, she saw a pink hair girl, curled up and crying into her knees.

Left surprised, Twilight worryingly ask the girl: “Oh My Gosh! Are You Ok!?” .

Once she heard the sound of someone addressing her, the girl’s head shot up in surprise and saw someone that she never met before. She was hesitant at first when Twilight gave out her hand, but she eventually accepts the kind gesture.

"Sorry about that" the girl apologized as she got onto her feet.

Still very worried, Twilight ask her: "What happened? Why were you crying?"

The girl stammered, struggling to give an answer. Either what happened to her was too scary to describe or she was too shy to talk. This force Twilight to come up with her own conclusion.

"Did you just gotten bullied?"

"WHAT! No!" the girl denied. "I was just... I..."

But then, Spike pops his head out to see what was going on. And when the girl saw him, her timid personality completely disappears. "Oh My Goodness! Is that a puppy!?"

Before either Twilight or Spike could react, the girl swiftly got behind Twilight, snatch Spike from the bag and cradling him in her arms. The next thing that Twilight saw was the girl rocking Spike back and forth like he was her own baby.

“Aaahhh! What a cute little puppy” muttered the girl.

“HEY! What Are You…” shouted Spike in his head. But before he could finish, the girl began scratching Spike by the side of his neck, his favorite spot. Hitting his pressure point, Spike just relaxes and enjoys the pleasurable experience.

Eventually, the girl realizes that she snatched the dog away from someone and saw the owner looking mighty confused behind her. Greatly embarrassed, she hand Spike back over to Twilight and apologizes.

“Oh! I am so sorry. I just…”

“No. That’s ok. At least it cheered you up at least” replied Twilight. “So… You like dogs?”

“Not just dogs, but ALL Animals!” the girl replied. “I know how to look after rabbits, hamsters, dears and even bears.” Twilight was a little understandably surprised when she heard bears. When she realizes that she didn’t recognize Twilight, the girl asks:

“Are you new around here? If you are, then my name is Fluttershy.”

“Nice to meet you, my name is Twilight Sparkle” Twilight replied before she shook hands with Fluttershy.

Once the two girls have finally become acquaintances and Fluttershy has now calmed down, Twilight can finally ask her questions again.
“So… Will you now tell me why you were crying?”

Remembering the experience, Fluttershy replies: “Oh! Sorry about that. That was quite embarrassing.” Fluttershy then explains: “You see, I was handing out flyers for the local animal shelter and trying to find volunteers. However, no one volunteered…... like usual. And I guess… doing it by myself, I just…”

Before Fluttershy eyes were about to tear up, Twilight enquires: “Don’t you have friends who can help?”

Fluttershy depressingly replies: “I use to have a friend who would help me out, but not anymore.” Fluttershy almost sounds angry when she says it.

And then, as she was feeling sorry for Fluttershy, Twilight suddenly remembered something that Dean Cadecne said to her. "... But sometimes Twilight, people need a friend to help them to get through tough times." Twilight then realized that even though she might not need friends, she knows that Fluttershy is in need of one. That... and she can no longer stand to see Fluttershy being so sad.

Twilight says to Fluttershy: “You know what; I'm kind of new around here. So... if you wouldn't mind... I can be your friend.”

“Really!” yells Fluttershy in surprise.

Twilight tries to nonchalantly explain: “Yeah, well… people wanted me to make friends anyway and I don’t really mind being…” However, before she could finish, Fluttershy hugs her mid-sentence. Although she was in Twilight’s personal space, she nevertheless accepts the hug. Spike quietly chuckles behind his masters back.

Once Fluttershy let go off her, she then says to Twilight: “Thanks.” But then she told her: “But if you are planning on making any more friends here at CHS, I recommend you stay away from a person called Pinkie Pie.”

“What! Why?” Twilight replied.

“She’s the “friend” that I mentioned earlier. She wants to make everything a crazy party and never takes anything serious.” From that short description alone, Twilight could see why she would be annoying. “One time, when I try to have a silent auction for the animals, she arrived with noise makers and balloons. She almost frightens half the animals to death.”

“I see…” replied Twilight. “Well you don’t have to worry about that. I’m not planning on making a lot of friends. I was just planning…”

But then, as Twilight was about to explain her plans at CHS, the mirror behind her began to move. No one saw the mirror’s surface began acting like water as it appears that something is about to emerge from it. And then, like something coming out from a different dimension, an object shot out from the mirror and collided with the back of Twilight’s head.

“AWW!” yelled Twilight as she felt the unexpected pain. “Ok! Who Did That!?” However, when she look behind her, she saw that no one was there. Confused, she turns back around to Fluttershy and asks:

“Did you see someone?” Unfortunately, she is as confused as Twilight.

The only thing that the girls could find was the object that hit her; a fancy tiara with a large star shape jewel embedded into it. As Twilight picks it up to examine it, she was wondering why someone would throw a crown at her.

“Hang on!” yelled Fluttershy as she saw the crown. “I think that is the crown which they are going to use for the Fall Formal.”

"Fall Formal?" Twilight responded.

Fluttershy explains: "Yeah, it's the upcoming dance we'll be having in a few days. We kind have a dance every season."

Depsite how amazed she was by the timing of her transfer, Twilight was now more confused then before. Why would someone steal a crown for an important school event and just decide to throw it at someone? But the question that she find most puzzling is where it came from. She didn’t notice anybody leaving the school and she couldn’t see anybody around them. It was almost like the crown appeared from nowhere.

As Twilight was wracking her brain over this, Fluttershy told her: “I think we need to hand that to Principal Celestia.”

“Yeah, I think your right Fluttershy” she replied. As Fluttershy was expecting her to hand over the crown, Twilight told her: “I think I should hand the crown in. I have to meet Principal Celestia anyway to find where my class is.”

“OK” She cheerfully replied. The two girls enter the building together and Fluttershy told Twilight the directions to where the principal’s office was. Once she helps Spike back up and into Twilight’s bag, Fluttershy began to walk the other way. However, before she left them, Fluttershy told Twilight:

“Nice meeting you Twilight Sparkle. I hope you enjoy it here at CHS.”

“Thanks! I will!” replied Twilight as the girls went spate ways.

As Twilight was walking down the hall, she couldn’t help but to examine the crown some more. The questions were still bugging her inside her head as she feels uneasy holding the crown. When she looks at the star shape jewel, Twilight thought that it resembles the star symbol that has on her skirt. Twilight thinks that’s just nothing more than a coincidence.

But then, as she has the crown within her hands, Twilight felt an urge to put it on. She couldn’t explain why except for maybe she was looking for a laugh. And since no one was around, she felt comfortable enough to do it.

But when she places the crown on top of her head, strange visions was rushing through her eyes. Twilight could barely comprehend what was going on as the images were bombarding her mind. She saw a city made out of crystal and a purple pony that has a striking resemblance to her. She then saw other ponies that were in a wide array of colors that seems to know her. She also saw the very same crown that was on her head and quickly understood it was very important for the purple pony.

There were more images, but Twilight could stand them no longer and pulled the crown off her head. The next thing that she knew was that she was still in a hallway at Canterlot High. When she looks behind her and sees a worried Spike, she imagines him saying:

"Twilight! What just happened?"

"I don't know Spike" Twilight replied to the unspoken dog. "This crown... it just..." But when she looks back the now more ominous looking crown, she began detecting far greater mysteries that she could not begin to imagine. "How can an ordinary high school crown give her such weird visions?" Twilight thought to herself.

However, Twilight does not begin to dare what mysteries the crown holds... at least not now. She then began moving from a casual walk to a brisk run, hoping that Principle Celestia might shed some light on a few things.

Author's Notes:

Ok, some important author notes.

If you can still remember the last chapter, Twilight wasn't originally meant to be from Crystal Prep. So in order fit in that fact, I had to rearrange a few sentences and also add a few more. I think I did a good job on that.

However, What I think that I am most proud of is that Twilight remembered something that Cadence said. I just thought it was a heartwarming moment.

Also, if you were hoping that I would make Twilight to become friends with a anybody other than the Hu-Mane 5; I'm sorry but you will be disappointed. That won't mean she won't be friendly with anybody else, but I am keeping her core friends to remain the same. It won't be the same if it was with anybody else.
Also, the only reason for giving Twilight weird visions when she try on the crown is to give her a reason to become the Fall Formal Princess. It gives her a motive to keep the crown away from Sunset Shimmer and to push her to make friends with the Hu-Mane 5. I have no other way to get around that. However, in hindsight, she didn't got a lot of visions as I wanted.

Chapter 2- Sunset Shimmer

Working vigorously as ever, Principal Celestia was seething through paperwork and keeping everything in order. It may not seem like an important job, but she has the final say to everything that was going on in her school. From school activities to student’s and teacher’s behavior, Celestia was making sure that her school is a safe and enjoyable place for learning. And although being the principal isn’t an enjoyable job, Celestia is nevertheless proud of her work and seeing heppy students makes her job worth it.

But then, just as the principal took a breather and have a small break from the paper work, she had a knock on her door. Although it was unexpected, she pretty much welcomes anybody who comes to her door.

“Come In!” yelled Celestia to the visitor outside her door.

After a second of hesitation, the door opened and Twilight Sparkle stepped into the office. “Um… Good morning Principal Celestia” Twilight greeted nervously.

“Good morning” Celestia pleasantly replies. “What brings you to my office?”

Twilight was Hesitant for a secound. “Um... Don’t you recognize me Principal Celestia?”

It took a moment for Principal Celestia to search through her memories, but she eventually does remember and recognize her. “Oh Right! You’re the new transfer student, Twilight Sparkle. I remember now.”

“Yeah, That Me!” Twilight happily stated.

“Yes, yes, I remember. I was on a friendly trip to see Dean Cadence and I happen to come across you. I hope you are not bothered by the change of schools."

“No, it doesn’t bother me at all. I'm actually looking foward to the change of scenery.”

“Well that’s great” Celestia pleasantly replies. Once they got the pleasantries out of the way, Celestia then asks Twilight: “So did you come here so you can find out where your first class is?”

However, Twilight unexpectedly replies: “Actually no, that’s not what I’m really here for.” Once she got the heavy bag off of her back and rests it on the floor, she then got out the crown and show it to her “I found this by the statue this morning and heard that it belongs to the school.”

Once Principal Celestia saw the crown, she suddenly became surprised and got up from her seat. When Twilight handed her the crown, she could see how baffled and confused Celestia's expression was, almost like she couldn't believe what she was holding.

"You found this by the statue at the front of the school did you say?" asked the puzzled principal. Twilight just silently nodded.

As she sees principal Celestia holding the crown, Twilight remembers the flashing visions from when she put on the crown. She knows that's not just an ordinary high school tiara and that there is something not quite right with it. Twilight didn't like to consider it, but if that crown really did come from this school, she would find it hard to believe that the Principal wouldn't know anything about it.

However, Twilight temporally lost her train of thought when Celestia says to her: "Well thank you for handing it in. I'll make sure that Vice-Principal Luna would keep a closer eye on it." Celestia then puts the star-shape crown in the filing cabinet for the time being.

Left confused, Twilight asks out loud to her: "What! I mean... Didn't you think it's a bit strange?"

"Definitely" Celestia replied. "Why would anyone go to the trouble to steal a crown and just leave on the front lawn?"

"Really!?" Twilight responded, left even more confused then before. "So who do think would steal something like that and..."

However, Celestia interrupted her and stop her from becoming excited and/or hysterical. "Calm down Twilight, it's nothing to be worried about. It's probably just somebody playing a prank."

"Really!" Twilight replied. "So you don't think that there is something odd about the crown that would make somebody want to try and steal it?"

Principal Celestia told Twilight: "Twilight, calm down. It's just something which the art & crafts department whipped up. You don't have to make this into some great crime drama."

Twilight was confused. She knows that wasn't an ordinary crown that she just handed in. However, she don't think that Principal Celestia is lying to her. As Twilight can't decide to trust her gut feeling, she then slowly began to question if she even had the weird visions.

When Principal Celestia sees how troubled Twilight was looking, she became concerned and asked: "Is everything alright Twilight?"

When Twilight realized that she was being addressed, Twilight replied: "Hm... Oh! Yes, I'm ok. I... think I'm just not getting use to the new environment yet." Even though she still has those strange visions stuck in her head, Twilight decicded to forget about them for now.

As Twilight was about to pick up her bag, Principal Celestia asks her: Well... While your here, do you still want me to look up where your first lesson is?"

After a short moment to think about it, she shrugs and replied: "Sure, why not? It wouldn't hurt I suppose."

As Celestia went back to her seat and went on her computer, Twilight waited for her to bring up the student's timetable. To pass the time, Twilight gazed around the room and see all of the different stuff that were hanging on the walls. There were some awards hanging up, some photos of an important event is place proudly on some of the walls. But then, when Twilight was looking towards the sides, she spotted something that made her eyes widened.

The photos just show some girl who was wearing a dress and a crown and looked like it was taken at some school event or something. But what catches Twilight's eyes was how the girl looked like. With amber skin, red and yellow hair and a sinister looking grin in some of the photos, Twilight some how reconize her. She looked like the sinister looking pony that were imprinted within her mind by the weird vision.

Looking at the photo, Twilight couldn't believe her eyes. Even though a few details were a little different, but she definatly know that she saw her within the vision.

"Ah! Here it is" called out the principal who found where Twilight's class is. "Looks like your first lesson is with Miss Matilda at classroom 2-18."

Twilight broke from her daze and could barely catch what she said. When she looks back at the principal, she point towards the photos and asked: "Who is she?"

When she saw the photos which she was pointing at, Celestia replied: "Oh! That's Sunset Shimmer. She's one of the students who you well get to know." As Celestia got up and go near Twilight, she explains: "These photos were taken when she was crowned princess during our seasonal dances. She's a bright student with much potential, kinda like you in a way. But unfortunately, she doesn't get along well with the rest of the student body."

As the principal and student side by side and looking at the photos, Celestia began to smirk and jokingly whisper to Twilight: "You know... our Fall Formal is coming up. Are interested in running for princess?"

"What!" Twilight responded as Celestia finally got her to lighten up. "N-No thank you. I'm not interested in that kind of stuff." As she got her bag and her lesson, Twilight walks backwards and says: "I have much more important stuff to do than princess stuff."

She then collided with the door and Spike, who was hiding in the bag, let out a cry. As Celestia wonder what the sound was, Twilight made a hasty retreat and left the office. The principal just smile and just hope that the new transfer student would get along well in her school.

After the new transfer student have gone and seen the principal, Twilight was now exploring her new school in search for her classroom. And unlike Crystal Prep, Twilight can really say that her school is alive with interests, creativity and learning. The hallways were packed full with students and were doing whatever they want before classes start. Twilight overhear some students gossiping, some students talking about school events and clubs or doing strange stuff in doors. She saw jocks playing catch, some hippie kid playing tiny bongos by the stairs and attracting a crowd and some girls were wearing some of the colorful outfits that Twilight had ever seen. Twilight felt like there was a whole community being packed into one hallway and it somehow making Twilight is a bit livelier.

Eventually Twilight found the classroom which she thinks that her first lesson is at. She wasn't completely sure at first, but when she sees the door says 2-18, Twilight felt pretty confident that that's what Principal Celestia said. And now, since she found her classroom, Twilight had to wait by the door until the teacher arrives. She could talk to some of the students to pass that time, but Twilight didn't felt like talking to anybody.
She was just happy standing there and watching all the students going down the halls. Twilight excuse was that "she was too shy to talk to anybody" which was a total lie.

However, the one person who didn't like this was Spike who was moving around anxiously in Twilight's bag. Twilight eventually got her bag out in front of her and unzipped the zipper. And when she did, Spike's head popped out and began to moan.

"Oh come on Twilight. Let me out of this tiny bag" moaned Spike.

However, Twilight replied: "I know what you’re thinking Spike, but I can't let you out. I would get into a lot of trouble if a teacher found out that I brought my dog to school."

But speak of a devil, after she said that, Twilight spotted a teacher walking down the hallway. The teacher was an uptight looking dude who Twilight was convinced was wearing a toupee. But before Twilight could push Spike's head back into the bag, Spike was already hiding inside. The teacher walks pass her without suspecting anything.

“Ok, Fine” Twilight said begrudgingly. Twilight rest her bag with Spike still in on the floor and by her feet. Twilight then told Spike: “You can sit and watch, but I’m not letting you out of that bag.”

“Fine” Spike replied. Even though he didn’t have what he wanted, but at least his head is out of the stuffy bag and he can at least appreciate that.

And first, everything was going ok. Spike was happy to see all the new faces that he never saw before and Twilight was enjoying the peace and somewhat quiet. However, that peace and quiet also lets Twilight’s mind to drift away and began thinking about the crown again. And as she began thinking about other things, her attention was away from the dog which she was meant to keeping an eye on. And while Twilight was distracted, Spike spotted a face that captivated the little pup' and hypnotically moved towards it.

"Did the crown really belong to the school?" Twilight whispered to herself. "I mean, no way can a high school crown can give you flashing images of ponies. But then again, how did I saw the face that looked like a girls that I never saw before?" After a moment of pondering, she groaned and said "Uhh! What do you think Spike?"

However, when Twilight looked down towards her pet, she discovered that said pet was missing from the bag. In a panic, she looked around frantically in search for her dog. Fortunately, she spotted Spike fairly quickly. Spike was just stand standing next to and looking to towards an attractive girl by her locker... an attractive girl with white skin and purple hair.

"SPIKE!!" yelled Twilight as she run towards him.

The girl heard Twilight's yelling and saw her coming towards her. As she was startled and was wondering what was going on, she began feeling paws that was pressing against her leg. When she looked down, she saw the tiny little dog that was trying to get her attention. Even though she was still startled, she found the dog incredibly adorable.
"Oh My! Who is this adorable little darling?" asked the girl as she began to pet Spike.

When Twilight came to them, she tried to apologize to the girl.

"I am so sorry that my dog is troubling you."

But the girl replied: "That's ok dearie. This adorable little man wasn't bothering anyone."

As Spike was enjoying the petting and stroking from his new found love in life, Twilight pulled him from that and hold him tightly around her arms. As the dog was about to moan, Twilight told him: "I told you to stay in my bag but you didn't listen." Spike began to sulk and cross his tiny arms in frustration.

Once she had firm grip on her dog, Twilight then faces the girl and says: "I am so very sorry. My dog followed me to school and I didn't have enough time to get him back home and I..."

The girl interrupted Twilight and told her: "Like I said, everything is ok dearie. The worst that happened was that I found a charming little dog." However, once she was done looking at Spike, she then spotted the outfit Twilight was wearing and says: "But speaking about charming, Where Did You Get That Charming Outfit?"

Twilight was confused by the question. She looked down at her clothes and thought nothing special about them. "What? This?" she replied. "It's nothing special. It's just stuff that I found in my closet."

"Right, it’s just "stuff"" the girl replied back while being unimpressed. "No way that you can look as fashionable as that say that you would put anything on in your wardrobe." Once the girl was done eyeing up Twilight, she finally felt to introduce herself. "Oh! Where are my manners? My name is Rarity and I run a small fashion boutique by Cloudsdale Mall."

"Well it's nice to meet you Rarity" replied Twilight who felt that she needed to get away. She quickly shook Rarity's hand and says "My name is Twilight and I'm new around here. I have to go now so I don't be late for my class and..."

However, something clicked inside Rarity's head. "Wait... Twilight? As in Twilight Sparkle?"

Twilight stepped back and pulled away in caution. "How did you know my full name?" she asked.

"Did you happen to help a crying girl by the front statue this morning?"

Suprised, Twilight asks: "Wait! You know Fluttershy?"

In a remarkable coincidence, Twilight realized that she met one of Fluttershy's friends. As Twilight was comprehended the twist of fate, Rarity startled her by giving her a surprised hug.

When Rarity pulled away, she explains: "Fluttershy texted me and told me everything that happened this morning. I must thank you for helping the poor fragile girl off the ground like that."

"It was no problem" Twilight replied. "I was there, so I helped."

"Yeah, but you're the only one who helped" Rarity explains. "Unfortunately, at this school, the different cliques don't often help or interact with one another."

"What!" responded Twilight. "Why don't they interact?"

"I don't know?" Rarity replied as she rounded up her stuff and shut her locker. "Everyone has been like that once Sunset Shimmer took over the school."

But then, when Rarity said the name, Twilight mumbled: "Sunset... Shimmer?" She can clearly recall Principal Celestia explaining Sunset to her and how she looked in her pictures and in her vision. Twilight's mood stopped so abruptly, even Spike stopped being love struck and became concerned towards his master.

Worried, Rarity asked: "Are you ok dearie?"

When she was asked, Twilight snapped out. "Sorry... But can I ask about Sunset Shimmer?"

Rarity was confused, but she didn't mind explaining stuff to Twilight. "Well... Sunset Shimmer is a bit of a bully" she explained bluntly. "Whenever there is an opportunity to get more power or be more popular, she will do whatever it takes to get it. If someone gets in her way, she try to act all nice and kind, but she would spread nasty rumors around and make you don't want to show your face around school ever again."

"Really" Twilight mumbled.

But then, Rarity leaned against her locker and added: "Sunset Shimmer maybe a terrible person, but she is nowhere near as hurtful or insulting as Pinkie Pie."

Twilight checked her brain if she had any information on Pinkie Pie. She remembers Fluttershy talking about her... and recalls that she didn't like the description of her.

Rarity explains: "Last spring, when I tried to be princess for the Spring Fling, I agreed to help Pinkie to set up with decorations. However, she turned right 'round and says she didn't need my help. We and the rest of our friends got into such an argument, I was left emotionally broken and couldn't compete to be princess." Twilight felt so sorry for Rarity, try to comfort her when she got all misty eyed.

And then suddenly, bell rang and startled the two girls and the dog. Twilight then notice a well-groomed lady entered the classroom where her lesson is supposed be. Curious, Twilight asked Rarity: "Are you in Miss Matilda's class right now."

Curiously in return, Rarity nodded.

"Ok then. I guess we can sit together in class?"

The two girls then decided to go together to Twilight's first class. Spike, who was excited to be around Rarity some more, became upset when Twilight stuff him back into her backpack.

Sometime later, the bells rang again and lessons were over for now. As all of the students left their classrooms, Twilight and Rarity waved goodbye to each other as their next lessons are now somewhere else. Twilight was surprised that she made a second friend today, considering that she wasn't planning on it to begin with. While Rarity and Fluttershy were nice people, Twilight still want to keep to that plan as best as possible. But while she barely has any stuff in common with the two girls, she still was getting a nice and worm feeling from being around them. It was almost like that she was meant to be around them for some reason. However, Twilight push that to the back of her mind.

But then, as she was walking down the hall, Twilight suddenly heard a coin being tossed. She was about to forget about it and move on, until she saw a coin rolling pass her feet and somehow turn a corner. Curiously and yet cautiously, Twilight followed the coin as she thought that someone or something wanted her to do so. But when she does go around the corner, she was in a dark corner of the school with faulty lights and appeared to be a good place to be ambushed. Spike popped his head out of the bag to see what's wrong, but he was equally as confused as Twilight.

Being nervous about the place, Twilight decided that she want to leave. However, when she turns around, she saw an intimidating looking girl who was blocking her path. With a striking black jacket, Twilight soon realize that this person was Sunset Shimmer.

Before Twilight could have a chance to say anything, Sunset was the first person to speak.

"Well well well... looks like someone decided to follow me and go through mirror. How adorably naïve for an alicorn princess."

Twilight looked at Spike and asks: "What is she talking about Spike?" which Spike just shrugs in confusion.

Author's Notes:

Yes, Sunset Shimmer thinks that this Twilight is the one from Equestria. Honestly, this was the most humorous part of the story for me when writing the original. It just the funny reaction that Sunset will get when she realize that she was wrong. That, and also messing around with a certain character that will appeare in a few chapters.

Chapter 3- Stand By Your Friends

Stuck in a dark corner of the School, Twilight Sparkle was cornered and confronted by Sunset Shimmer, a girl which she never even met before and only just heard about. Twilight thought that she could be a simple transfer student that no one would know about and someone who you wouldn't have a grudge against. But ever since she found the crown this morning, her day became a whirlwind of confusion and mystery. Not only did she got visions that she wished she could forget, but Twilight was now trapped with her dog Spike and she could see Sunset's eyes was burning with cruelty and ill-intent.

However, all of Twilight's fear and intimidation went away when Sunset speaks to her.

"Well-well-well... looks like someone decided to follow me through the mirror. How adorably naïve for an alicorn princess."

Twilight was taken aback by that comment. "Alicorn princess", "Going through a mirror" and somehow she was following her? Twilight looked at her equally confused dog and whisper to him: "What is she talking about Spike?"

Spike just shrugs and Twilight imagine him saying: "I don't know?"

As Twilight was left baffled, Sunset began to walk around Twilight, thinking it could feel a bit more intimidating.

“You thought you could get your crown back all by yourself. But when you came to this world, I bet that you discover that it’s nothing like how you imagined.”

However, as Sunset was trying to be intimidating and “getting all up” to Twilight’s face, Twilight was not impressed nor frightened. Twilight pushed her back he and told her:

“Look, I don’t know the heck you’re talking about? I’m just the new transfer student here.”

However, Sunset gets upset to Twilight’s claimed ignorance. “You can’t fool me” she said. “No way any-pony would let the Element of Magic to get stolen like that and wouldn’t try to get it back. But I won’t let you to get your crown back because I won’t let anybody ruin my plans now.”

Despite trying to be cold and frightening, Twilight tried her best to not be afraid or intimidated. However, as she was trying to be brave and stair down Sunset, Twilight was suddenly reminded of her bullies from Crystal Prep. Girls who were so deteremined about their plans, they didn't care about those around them. There were even some students who flaunt their reputation and try to push her down. Sunset reminded Twilight of those people. And within that moment of remembering, Twilight was slowly being intimidated.

But then, Spike detected Twilight's spirit was begining waver and falter. Worried that his master was in danger, Spike jump out of Twilight's bag, catching both girls by suprised. Tapping into his beastly instincts, Spike growled: “HEY! Don’t You Dare Hurt Twilight!”

However, when Sunset looks down and sees the little puppy trying to be a dog, she just burst out into laughter. “Ha Ha Ha! Oh look, is the little baby dragon trying to protect his master?” She then knells down and says to him: “Well tough luck pooch, I’M NOT AFRAID OF DOGS!”

But then, as Twilight saw Sunset Shimmer yelling at her dog, something in Twilight's head tells her to let loose her anger. She picks Spike up; protect him with her arms and yells to Sunset: "HEY! I don't know what is your beef with me is, but don't you dare Harm My Dog!"

Sunset wasn't scared by Twilight's words, but her angry glare and ready for a fight stance made her back off. While still trying to maintain her fearlessness appearance, she chuckle and slowly began to leave.

"Well whatever" she said. "You can do whatever you like her. But if you act like that around me again, trust me, I'll make you pay".

Twilight and Spike didn't move an inch until they see that Sunset Shimmer had left them. When she was finally gone, Twilight relaxed from her posture as it was beginning to give her a cramp. She looks at Spike as she was left with even more questions. She didn't know what's going on with the crown she found or the visions it gave her. She didn't know what Sunset Shimmer was talking about or why she has a grudge against her. But when looks back up, Twilight Sparkle declared: "Ok then, Now It's Personal!"

After Twilight left the dead end hallway, she was still feeling very upset and round up as she was walking down the school. "Who was she and why is she out to get me?" she thought to herself. She couldn't wrap around Sunset's actions or understand what she said. Combined with the weird crown that she handed in, Twilight wasn't having the relaxing school experence that she wanted.

However, as she was walking down the hall, Twilight suddenly began feeling kind of hungry. She checked a nearby clock and notice that it was actually lunch time. Figuring that she can feel better after having some lunch, Twilight decide to head to the cafeteria to get some food.

It didn't take Twilight long to find the cafeteria as she had to follow the stream of hungry teenagers. When she actually went in, she saw the room was backed full with the different cliques. Each table belongs to one of the students groups and they seem to have a good time chatting among themselves.

Twilight was taken back by the view and how well everybody was getting along... until she realized that she was blocking people's path to the lunch room. Feeling embarrassed, Twilight quickly went and join the student line for the food. When she finally reached the food, Twilight was stucked between choosing a salad bowl or having cheese burger for her meal. Fortunately, there was nice veggie burger there that no one had picked. After grabbing her burger as well as a drink to have afterwards, she went to pay for her meal. When the nice lunch lady offered Twilight an apple, she just shrugs and accepts the apple.

When Twilight got her food and look out to the filled cafeteria, she began to wonder where she is going to sit. Since she barely knew anybody, she felt too shy to seat at a table with a large crowd. She hoped to find an empty table, but they were all gone. She could go to a crowded table, but all of the tables were owned by clicks and were talking about stuff which she has no clue towards.

But as Twilight was standing in the middle of the room looking for a table, she unexpectedly heard a voice calling out to her.

"Hey Twilight Sparkle! Over Here!" the voice cried out.

Twilight did not recognize the voice and was hesitant to go looking for it, especially after the last girl who seemed to "recognize" her. But as she was looking around, she spotted a table in between the jocks and the eco-kids with two girls waving towards her. However, imagine Twilight's surprise when she saw Fluttershy as one of the girls who were calling her. The other girl had rainbow hair along with a tomboyish appearance but Twilight was surprised when she saw the other girl was Fluttershy. Feeling more comfortable to sit next to someone she knows, Twilight head towards Fluttershy and her friend with the rainbow hair.

As Twilight was coming up close, the girl with the rainbow hair says to Twilight:

"Hi, so you're Twilight Sparkle?"

"Yeah, that's me..." Twilight sheepishly replied.

Fluttershy moved up the table and gave Twilight her seat and then introduces her to the rainbow girl.

"Hi Twilight, We were just talking about you. This is Rainbow Dash and she is like one of the best athletes at Canterlot High. ."

"Yo" said Rainbow

"Hi" replied Twilight.

As Twilight sat comfortably on her seat and took a bit out of her meal, Spike popped out Twilight's backpack. When Fluttershy spotted Spike, she became thrilled to see him and put him in between her and Twilight. Before he could respond, Fluttershy began offering him dog biscuits and began chewing down on them.

As Twilight was eating, Rainbow Dash decided to ask her some questions. "Hey Twilight, one of the girls’ soccer team players called in and said that she can't make it to the next soccer match next month. Are you interested?"

"What!? Oh no-no-no, I'm not very good at soccer. My brother tried to teach me how to play one time, but I... end up breaking every window in the house" Twilight replied.

"Ok then" Rainbow replied. "But what about volleyball then? I can see you making a couple of good shots."

"Sorry, but no. I'm not into sports."

"Oh... ok then" Rainbow replied, feeling disappointed.

"Sorry" Twilight apologizes.

However, Rainbow told her: "Nah, that's ok. I can't force you to play sports. Everyone have their own interests and I respect that." As she sees how understanding Rainbow was, Twilight made a little smile.

However, when the warm moment was over, Twilight told the both of them: "Anyway, I don't want to get that popular. I ran into one girl who says she knows me and was flipping crazy."

"Let me guess, it was Pinkie Pie" asked Fluttershy in deadpan tone.

Rainbow Dash interjects. "No-no-no, it was Trixie, wasn't it?"

"No, it was Sunset Shimmer" she replied.

Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy sat back in surprise and raised their eyebrows.

Twilight explains to them. "She was talking nonsense. She was talking about going through mirrors and alicorn princesses. She even said that Spike was a dragon for some reason?"

"A Dragon!" Fluttershy yelled out, sound a bit frightened. When she looks down at Spike and he saw her watching him, Spike then began to act like Godzilla and pretend to breathe fire. "Don't be silly" Fluttershy told everyone. "Everyone knows that dragons don't exist."

Twilight looks at Fluttershy with confusion. Rainbow Dash then whispered to her ear: "Fluttershy has a slight fear of lizards after a time where a snake bit her."

"RAINBOW!" shouted Fluttershy. Rainbow returned to her seat and feigned innocence.

Rainbow Dash commented: "Huh? I wonder why she did that?"

Twilight told her: "I think she was telling me to stay away from the crown?"

"The crown? You mean the one we found this morning?" asked Fluttershy

"I think so" she replied.

"Maybe she just doesn’t want you to be Fall Formal princess" says Rainbow as she thought out loud. But then, as all three girls were pondering, something clicked inside Rainbow's head that made her to stand up and snap her fingers. "Hey! Maybe you should do it!?" she says and she then point towards Twilight.

"What!?" Twilight responded.

"Run for Fall Formal Princess" she told her. Twilight was shocked by Rainbow Dash's suggestion. Before she could said anything, Rainbow Dash turn to Fluttershy and ask her: "What do you think Fluttershy?"

After being surprised from being suddenly asked, Fluttershy replied: "Well um... After what did for me this morning, I would definitely vote for you Twilight. I think you would make a wonderful princess."

Twilight blushed after hearing Fluttershy's compliment. When she took a hold of herself, she tried to calmly explain: "I... just want to inspect the crown again. I don't want to be princess unless I really have to."

When she says that, Twilight saw Rainbow Dash becoming disappointed and begins to mope. It looked like that she really wanted to her to do something protective. As she was feeling bad for herself, Twilight still wonder why she cares so much for since they just met.

Hoping it might distract her from moping, Twilight asks Rainbow Dash: "Well do you at least know who I need to speak to get a closer look at the crown."

Rainbow replied: "I don't know. But I guess Pinkie Pie since she's in charge of planning the Fall Formal event."

"Oh great" Fluttershy muttered. Both Fluttershy's and Twilight's eagerness slowly dissipates when they heard Pinkie's name. After hearing everybody's descriptions of Pinkie, Twilight got a painted impression of her which she wouldn't like to meet. Fluttershy gave a warning to Twilight.

"Be careful Twilight. No matter how much she says that she wants to be your friend, Pinkie is just a wild party animal who doesn't know how to behave herself."

However, before Twilight could reply, Rainbow Dash cut her off from speaking. "Now wait one moment..." Rainbow interjected. "Pinkie may get carry away sometimes, but she doesn't want to see people upset."

"Really, does "don't want to upset people" also means not apologizing when she made a mistake" Fluttershy argued back.

"She says that she gave you the party just like you wanted. At least she isn't like Applejack."

"Don't Bring Applejack Into This!"

As both Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash looked like that they were about to have an argument, Twilight was left confused. Twilight was a bit surprised that someone tried to defend Pinkie, especially after everything she heard about her. She didn't know if it's Rainbow Dash being a bit naïve or there something about Pinkie that she haven't heard about. She was also wondering about the person called Applejack that Rainbow mentioned.

When she spotted Twilight looking a bit puzzled, Rainbow told her: "Look Twilight, Pinkie Pie might get a bit crazy sometimes and be over-the-top, but her heart is in the right place. It's a cow girl by the name of Applejack that you shouldn't listen to."

"Who is Applejack and why shouldn't I listen to her?" Twilight asked.

Rainbow explains: "Applejack is an ex-friend of ours who lies to ya. One time, she asked me to bring the softball team to one of her bake sales. But when we went there, nobody was around. The guys were so mad; I had to be their towel gal for a month just to make it up to them. And want to know something; Pinkie Pie helped me when I had to wash those sticking towels."

As Twilight was processing that, Fluttershy interjected.

"Yeah, but Applejack helped me when I had a room full of traumatized pets. Where was Pinkie Pie for that?"

"She was busy setting up the apology party that you refused to go to."

"WHAT! She Never Made An Apology Party For Me!?"

As the two girls argue, Twilight felt left out and was too afraid to but in. She got Spike and quietly walks away from the argument with her half-finished lunch.

After finishing what was left of her lunch, Twilight heads towards the gymnasium where she believe that's where she find the party planning committee. Along the way, Twilight was dreading the idea that she would have to run for princess. However, she easily came up with an alternative.

"Who says that I have to be Fall Formal Princess" she thought aloud. "All I have to do is to join the party committee and just get a sneak peak at the crown. And maybe then I'll find out what's is wrong with it."

Twilight felt confident in her plan. But as she was heading towards the gym, she begin imagining what Pinkie would be like. Would be Pinkie be a hyperactive sugar monkey or the type of person who would say "Dude" a lot? Would she be nothing but a party animal or someone who just want to make you happy? Whatever she may be, Twilight was prepared for the worst.

When she found the gym, she discovered that it was well decorated. The gym was covered with party balloons and streamers with uplifting and cheerful colours. Perfectly placed pumpkins that remind you of the season and a spot with a backdrop and a wooden archway for where you can take your photos. Disco ball, DJ booth, tables with the food already set out, everything looks so prepared, they could have the dance tonight.

Spike detected that Twilight was being swept way by the joyful decorations and colourful scenery and growled by her ear. "Hey, isn't there something that you wanted to do here?" Spike sarcastically thought.

"Oh, thanks Spike" thanked Twilight once she snapped out of it.

Twilight looked around the hall to see if anybody was still setting up. Very quickly, she spotted a guy and a girl setting apple sider across the tables. What make them so eye catching for Twilight though is that they looked very wild-western, especially the girl as she was wearing a cowboy hat.

As Twilight walk up close to them, the two students felt the presence coming behind them. When they turn around, the two were surprise to see a student they didn't recognize (although the boy's face is more subdued).

"Well, I don't reckon we've seen you before" says the girl who tips her hat upwards.

"That because you haven't" Twilight replied. She says: "Hi, my name is Twilight Sparkle and I just transferred" and extend her head for a shake.

"Well it's nice meeting you Twilight" the girl replied as she shook Twilight's hand. "The name's Applejack and this here is my brother Big Mac'."

"Howdy" greeted Big Mac'.

"Oh, so she's Applejack" Twilight thought in her head, trying her best not to say it or even whisper it. And while everyone was exchanging greetings, Spike secretly escapes from Twilight's bag and wonder of to play with some confetti.

While Big Mac' was finishing setting out the drinks, Applejack was busy talking to Twilight. "So why would the new girl come over to this neck of the woods? Did ya come to take part in the Fall Formal or something" she asked curiously.

"Sort of" Twilight nervously replied. "I... can see that you got a big event coming up and I thought I would help out... He-he."

As can clearly see Twilight's nervous expression, Applejack began to eye her up. In her head, Twilight was yelling in her head to she would except her. But before the moment becomes any more tense, Applejack says to her: "Great! We sure can use an extra pair of hands around here." Before she could respond, AJ wrapped an arm around Twilight and began yelling towards the Stage:

“HEY PINKIE! SOMEONE’S HERE WHO WANTS TO LEND A HAND!”

“I’VE HEARD!” the voice yells back from behind the curtains.

Before Twilight could respond to anything, someone pulled her aside and gives her a tight hug that lifts her off the ground. “Wow! Put Me Down!” she says to her unknown assailant. After she was quickly put down, Twilight wanted to know who hugged her. But when she turns around, she saw… a very pink girl.

“Hi, my name’s Pinkie Pie and I heard you want to help?” she says as she was being too close.

“I am” Twilight as her step away from Pinkie. She then says: “Wait, I thought I head you by the stage?”

“I was by the stage” Pinkie cheerfully replied. “I was busy painting the back drop for when the Fall Formal princess is crowned.” Pinkie then rushes to the stage and pullback the curtains, revealing an impressive heart shaped mural.

Twilight was impressed by the mural as she saw a very excited Pinkie Pie and spotted painted splattered across her clothes. She could tell that Pinkie must have worked hard on it.

“Do like it?” Pinkie asked

“Hmm… Yeah, I like it” Twilight politely replies.

“Really!” she yelled excitedly as she invades Twilight’s personal space again. “Did it make you feel happy? Excited?! EXHILARATED!? ALL OF THE ABOVE!!”

“WHOA Pinkie!” cried Applejack as she separated Pinkie from Twilight.

Once she realizes how excited she was, Pinkie calmed down and apologize. “Oopsy daisy. Sorry, sometimes I don’t realize how close I am to people. I just want to see you smile.”

Twilight, who was slightly shaken-up, asks: “Why do you want to see me smile?”

“Because that how I know that you’re happy” she replied.

“Ok… But why do want me to be happy then?”

“What! Do I need a reason to make people feel happy?”

As Twilight was about to answer that, she realize that she doesn’t really have an answer. As she thinks about it, she can’t come up with anything other than she’s kind. When she looks at Pinkie’s innocent and cheerful face, Twilight doesn’t detect any secret intentions. “I guess not” she finally replied hesitantly.

And then almost abruptly, Pinkie then asks Twilight: “Hey Twilight, do you want to know what I can do with a balloon?”

Twilight gave nothing other than a confused and concerned look. When she looks at Applejack, she could tell that she is use to Pinkie’s behaviour a she is taking everything in stride. As she watched Pinkie sucking in the air from a balloon (one that she grabbed away from Spike), Twilight tries to tell her: “Look, you don’t have to do this just to make me smile. I know that it’s full of helium and it make you sound…”

“Like Big’ Mac?” Pinkie responded with an expectedly deep voice. Everyone was caught off guard as Pinkie sounds exactly like Big Mac'.

AJ muttered "Ya sound just like my..."

"Eeyup"

Pinkie Pie then grabs another balloon and took the air out of that too. But when she was done, she sounds disturbingly and yet humorously like Principal Celestia: "Well girls, what do you think of my voice trick?" AJ was clearly laughing while Twilight was trying her best not to and was blocking her mouth. But then, Pinkie sucked the air from another balloon and sound just like Fluttershy. And we she says: "Please, don't make fun of my voice", Twilight feel onto her back with laughter.

However, when Twilight started laughing, Applejack slowly stops. "Ok Pinkie, you can stop there" she says.

"Oh please stop, I think I'm about to cry."

"Pinkie, Stop!"

Fortunately, Applejack’s yelling quickly got through to Pinkie and she stopped. Although, Pinkie was very sour at Applejack as she gave her a cold stair. After grabbing one more balloon, she told her: “Party Pooper” in her normal voice.

However, both of them heard Twilight still laughing and rolling around on the floor. When she finally ran out of laughter, she soon spotted AJ and Pinkie Pi towering over her. Blushing, Twilight got herself off the floor and brushes the dirt off her skirt. AJ and Pinkie couldn’t help but snicker.

After feeling embarrassed, Twilight asks them: “Anyway, is there a form that I need to sign or something?”

“I guess so” Pinkie replied. Pinkie began checking her hair and other parts of her body until she found a clip board and pen. “You just need to sign your name on this and you would be an official member of the party planning committee.”

Pinkie hands the clip bird and pen to Twilight. Twilight, who was thinking that this was her first step to solve the mystery of the crown, was eager to put her name down. However, as soon the pen touches the paper, a loud voice cried out in frustration.

“This Looks Terrible!”

When Twilight, Applejack and Pinkie Pie look towards the doorway, they saw Sunset Shimmer and right behind her were two unimpressive lackeys.

“There should be more a lot more streamers towards the stage and fewer balloons!” Sunset complained as she popped a balloon with a finger.

"Hey!" Pinkie moaned.

"Yeah, more streamers!" yelled the small and pudgy lackey with a pair of scissors on his shirt.

"And fewer balloons" the tall and scrawny minion added as he tries and fails to burst a balloon.

And then, Sunset spotted what's by the stage. "And what the heck is that!" she asked as she points towards the heart mural.

Pinkie popped right next to her and says: "Oh that? It's just something that I painted. I think that everybody will..."

But before she could finish, Sunset yell to her that: "It Looks Stupid! This isn't some little girl's birthday party, It's My CORINATION!" As Sunset's cold and cruel words shatters Pinkie's heart, she then gave her a paint brush and says: “Wipe it down and do it again! But this time, do a gorgeous image of me.”

As she sees Sunset insulting Pinkie’s hard work, Applejack’s anger was lit and something ignited within Twilight. Both of them cry out at once: “HEY!” and got Sunset’s attention. Twilight yells “You can’t barge your way in here and demand whatever you want!” Applejack added: “Yeah! Who died and made you queen?”

Sunset, unimpressed by their loud stance, only took notice of Twilight. “And can someone tell my why she is here?” Sunset asked as she looks away at another direction.

Even more infuriated then before, Twilight yells: “Hey! You Got No Right To Boss Them Around Like That!”

“Oh yes I do” Sunset smugly replied as she turn back around. “You see, I’m running unopposed.”

“What!”

And unexpectedly, Pinkie Pie says to both of them: “She’s right you guys.” Pinkie then depressingly got out another clip board and explains: “No one else has signed up and Sunset is the only girl on the ballot. And since she’s going to be crowned princess, we got to do what she says."

"No way" Twilight claimed as she has a closer look at the sign up board. But like what Pinkie and Sunset said; Sunset is the only name on the list. "But... It's not a real title. It's just a stupid school contest sort-a-thing."

"Who cares" Sunset stated. "Since there is no contest, they have to do everything that they can to make the night special for me for when I get my crown." Sunset then gave Twilight an devilishly evil grin, telling her that she can't do anything about it.

Twilight was shocked and utterly confused. Assuming that they're right, then if she joins the party committee; she would have to take orders from Sunset Shimmer. But that isn’t what’s bugging Twilight. She could just ignore or tolerate Sunset orders and she still has an opportunity to examine the crown.

The thing that’s truly upsetting Twilight was Sunset bullying Applejack and Pinkie Pie; insulting their hard work and demanding obedience. But for some strange reason, it isn’t because that no one was stopping her. It because Twilight she couldn’t stand seeing Pinkie or Applejack were the ones being bullied.

Meanwhile, in all of this madness, Twilight notices Spike under one of the tables who was trying to stay unnoticed from two lackeys. When he realizes that Twilight was looking at him, he stares back with a face that says:

“Well Twilight… what are you gunna do?

After taking a long and deep breath, Twilight says to Pinkie: "Pinkie... pass me that clip board."

Snapping out of her depression, Pinkie asks her: "Which one?" as she reveals that she has two clip boards in either hand.

Twilight didn't like it, but she knows that it would help protect them from Sunset's brutality... at least for now. She clenches her eyes and grinds her teeth and says: "...... The Princess Ballot!"

Everyone in the room gave a great big shocking gasp. As Twilight grabs the ballot and pen from Pinkie, AJ tells hey: "Hey now Twilight, let's not do anything rash before thinking it through first.

"You should listen to your friend. You Do Not want to do this!" Sunset threatened.

But despite everyone's warnings, Twilight clenched the pen and put her name down on the ballot. Twilight Sparkle is now a candidate for Canterlot High's Fall Formal Princess.

Author's Notes:

I really hope that you enjoy reading this chapter. When I first start writing this, I felt that a lot of people would like the opening. Not only for Sunset's misconception but also for Spike trying to protect and Twilight would try to protect him. However, that confidence slowly drifts away when I was writing the ending. Maybe you would all point out how there are other ways it could be handled and Twilight didn’t have to change the plan that she set out to do. I am ready for all the criticism that you will throw at me.

The theme that I was trying to do for this chapter is standing up for your friends. Spike tried to protect Twilight from Sunset's threats, Rainbow Dash tried to protect Pinkie Pie's good name and Twilight tried to protect Pinkie and Applejack at the end. Whether it adds to the story or make you like it less is up to you to decide. I just hope that you like it.

Chapter 4- The Pick

"Mark My Words Twilight Sparkle, You Will REGRET This!" screamed Sunset Shimmer as she bursts out of the gym in anger. Her two terrified lackeys were right behind her, fully expecting Sunset to yell at them if they don't follow. Twilight, Applejack and Pinkie Pie stood in the doorway, watching as she storms down the hall.

Left somewhat impressed, Applejack pat Twilight on the back and commented: "Well I gotta say, I don't know if it was the best'est move you could have done Twilight, but it takes a lotta guts to stand up to Sunset Shimmer like that."

"Yeah, about that..." Twilight says nervously. "... I suppose it's too late for me to sign up for party committee, isn't it?"

"Sorry" Pinkie replied as she put both clip boards back into her hair. "A princess candidate can't run AND be in the party committee at the same time. She would have an opportunity to get her hands on the votes and stuff."

When she hears the unfortunate answer, Twilight bangs her head in frustration. She then began mope towards the stage while saying: "Well that's just great."

Coming up to her side with Pinkie, AJ asks: "Well then why did ya do it?"

"I... couldn't just stood there and do nothing" Twilight replied. "It was the only thing I could think of without running off and finding a teacher."

Clearly seeing Twilight depressed, Pinkie got up beside and told her: "Oh don't feel so sad about yourself Twilight. Standing up to Sunset Shimmer just to help US... That was really AMAZING!" Pinkie then pulls Twilight towards her and have her a nice warm hug. Even thought she was surpised by this, Twilight found the hug very comforting. However, Pinkie then ruined the mood by saying: "But then again: you did made Sunny really, really mad at you. And when she gets that kind of mad, she would do everything that she can to totally humiliate you. In fact, I think you made her madder than that." And from saying that, despite still being in Pinkie's comforting hug, Twilight's eyes widened in fear.

Pulling out from Pinkie's hug, Twilight then told her: "Thanks for trying to comfort me Pinkie, but now I have a lot of things to do and so little time." Becoming lost in worry and details, she explains that: "First, I have to research what people want to see in a princess, something which I NEVER cared about before. And then, because I'm the new girl, I have to look up the history of the school just to know about popular events that happened. THEN, I have to get everyone to vote for me, which would be really hard by how the student body got their own little cliques and that. AND... I have to do all of that under 3 DAYS!"

But then, before Twilight could panic some more, Spike let out a loud bark to snap her out of it. "TWILIGHT!" Spike barked. However, even though she had stopped panicking, it did nothing to ease the pressure in her mind.

Seeing how much pressure she was feeling, Applejack told Twilight: “Don't worry Twilight, you got nothin’ to worry about. You already got two votes right here.” She then pulled in Pinkie and says: “In fact, we would be happy to convince other people that we know to vote for you.”

Twilight smiled when she heard the kind words. “Thanks for the sentiment girls, but you don’t need to worry about me. I usually handle everything on my own.”

As Twilight grabbed Spike and her bag and was about to leave, she was stop by Pinkie who says: “Oh come on Twilight! Doing it with friends is way much better than doing it on your own. I know you haven’t been her long, but I’m sure you made other friends here who wouldn’t mind helping you.”

Twilight’s initial thought that wasn’t true. But when she stop and think about, she could think of a few people who might help her. She knows that Fluttershy would defiantly vote for her and maybe Rainbow Dash would too. When Twilight thinks a bit harder, she slowly remember Rarity and was sure she can convince her. However, that is only 5 people and 5 people isn't going to be enough.

When she sees Twilight thinking, Pinkie interrupts her and suggests: “Well… even if you don’t know a lot of people here, I know somebody who would help if you just ask.”

“Who?”

“Rainbow Dash!”

But then, before Twilight could respond , Applejack butted in: “I wouldn’t recommend going to her if I were you Twilight.”

Confused, Twilight asks: “Why?”

Applejack explains to her that: “Rainbow is a back-stabbing snake who is as bad as Sunset. One time, I had a really important back sale and she’d said that can she'd get the softball team to make an appearance. I tell everybody they're comin', but not one of 'em shows up!”

Surprised, Twilight yells: “Really!”

However, Pinkie butted in and says: "Hand on a minute Applejack. Rainbow says that she did arrived and couldn't find anyone."

In an unpleasant mood, Applejack retorts: "Are you callin' me a liar!"

Stopped in her tracks, Pinkie hesitantly replied: "Well... I mean..."

"Everyone kept askin' me: "Where's Rainbow Dash?, Where's Rainbow Dash?" I was made a fool in front of my entire family!"

As the two began to argue, Twilight was left confused. As she can recall, Rainbow Dash told her the same story too, but it was the other way around. Either she was lying or it’s Applejack who isn’t telling the truth and Twilight didn't which story to believe.

And then, to make the situation worse, Applejack turns to her and asks: "What do you think Twilight!?"

"What!"

"Do you think I'm telling the truth" AJ reiterate.

Twilight was left frozen and didn't know what to say, didn't know who to choose. It wasn't until Spike gently tugs on her hair that she replies: "I think... I should be going now to do my research."

Seeing how nervous and confused she was, Applejack calmed down and says: "Oh right, sorry. I forgot that you have nothin' to do with this."

"That's ok. Well... it's nice meeting you two" she replied as she began making her leave.

"Same here" AJ replied back. "And good luck on becoming princess!"

Pinkie then yelled: "And Don't Forget About Your Friends! OH! And Thank You For Helping Us! OH! AND LET HANG OUT SOMETIME!"

Twilight wave back them as she bid farewell to them. However, when she left the gym, she let out the stress that she was feeling with a masive breath. Not only does she need to uncover the mystery of the crown and why Sunset has a grudge against her, but now she also have to participate in the princess ballad too. Twilight couldn't how much that she have in one day.

Finally, after an hour or two later, Twilight's first day at Canterlot High was over. Students were leaving and the only ones who were staying were for club activities. Twilight could stay a little bit longer, but she now has preparations to make which she couldn't do at school. Honestly, she didn't know what to make out of Canterlot High. The mysteries that she involved herself in and her undeserved bitterness from Sunset Shimmer had truly soured her experience. However, Twilight still wishes to like the school more by the still friendlier atmosphere than Crystal Prep and still trustworthy education. The only thing that she can do is to prepare herself for another day.

That is, if she can return home safely first?

As all the other students were streaming out of the door and making their way off the premises, Twilight was carrying a ton of books that she borrowed from the library as well as several lists and notes that she made for herself. With her only companion being Spike, she has no one else to help her with the heavy load.

However, Spike is one reliable dog. Swiftly barking: "Stop!" and "Go!" to save her from making any collisions. Other students notice the barking and get out of the way from Twilight's path. It was a good enough strategy that got them to the front door.

As Twilight was now leaving the building, Spike then tried to say to Twilight: "Ok Twilight, this next part is going to be a bit tricky. You have to step carefully if you don't want to fall down the..." But unfortunately, despite how much they know about each other, Twilight still didn't know the language of dog and didn't know what he was say. As soon as she put her foot out, Twilight quickly began to stumble over the steps.

"Whoa!" Twilight yelled as she was losing her balance.

Meanwhile, they was a guy who was anxiously searching for something at the bottom of the steps. When he heard a yelling, he looked up and see Twilight who was about to fall. Before he can think, the guy rushes up and tries to save her. However, he wasn't quite fast enough and Twilight fall on top of him, stumbling both of them down the steps until they hit the bottom.

"...Stairs" Spike "said" after everything was too late.

Twilight and the guy was lying on the fall in agony, waiting for the pain to go away. Half of the students who saw it just laughed at their misery while the other half just stood there bewildered. But even though both were still very sore, each of them could still got up on their own.

"Are you ok?" the guy asks worryingly.

"Yeah OW!... Thanks for saving me. Sort of" Twilight replied.

As the two was finally on their feet, they finally looked at each other to see who they just meet. The guy had a black leather jacket with a shirt of a shield and lightning bolt underneath and had slit back and blue hair. When Twilight looked at him, she could see that he was under the term: "good looking"... but felt no attraction towards. She felt nothing other than appreciation for catching her and guilt for falling on him.

But for the guy on the ohter hand, he was absolutly star struck. Gazing at Twilight's face, he was feeling a warm attraction which he doesn't often feel towards other girls. He couldn't explain why, but looking at her cute face makes him want to know more about her.

However, his staring was creeping Twilight out. "Are you ok?" she ask, hoping it would cause him to stop.

Snapping him out of it, he realizes he was being creepy and replies: "Oh! Yeah, I'm ok."

For a moment, the two just stood there, unsure or too nerves on what to say. It wasn't until the wind slightly picks up that Twilight realized that her stuff is about be blown away. "AH! My Stuff!" she yells before she rushes down and begin picking up her fallen books and notes.

"Let me help you with that" the guy says as he begins to assist her. As they were collecting Twilight's fallen books, the guy tries to struck up a conversation. "My name's Flash Sentry by the way."

"Ok, but get my stuff first before we lose it forever" Twilight replied, more worried about her notes at the moment than boys.

In no time at all, both Flash and Twilight quickly rounded up her stuff before the wind could claim it. As Flash handed the stuff he collected over to her, he asks her: "Can I get you name?"

"Twilight Sparkle" she replied politely.

"So... I haven't seen you before. Was this you first day?"

"It was! And after just one day, I already have so many things to do."

"Really!? Well those are always a bummer."

"Yeah, sometimes."

After both of them chuckled, Flash smiles as they were becoming acquainted. Even though it was meant to be a cute moment, Twilight didn't feel the same way. Instead, she felt that she had enough time talking and began to make her move to leave.

"Ok then, I better be going now. This work can't get itself done, am I right"

As Twilight was about to leave, Flash calls out: "Wait! Don't you want someone to help carry your stuff?"

Know the obvious move that it was, Twilight turn back and asks: "Are you saying that you want to carry my books?"

Flash froze, unsure on what to say. Whenever he meets a girl for the first time, they are usually just star struck as he is right now. He never met a girl who isn't charmed by his appearance. Hesitantly, he replied: "... yes"?

"Um... that's ok. I can carry these all on my own" Twilight replied trying to be as polite as she can be.

Devastated, the only thing that Flash could say was: "Well... Ok. I guess we can chat more some other time."

"Maybe" she said back to him. As she was leaving, she didn't heard Flash trying to call out to her and breathe a sigh of relief.

While she was walking, she spotted Spike running up towards her side. "Well then Twilight, I guess we now know who your first boyfriend is gunna be" he thought to Twilight, grinning towards her.

"Spike! Stop That!" Twilight yells at him, forcing him to stop. "I was never interested in finding a boyfriend and I don't have reason to start now, especially after everything that happened today."

"Yeah, but didn't you see him back there? He really likes you. I don't remember any boys from your old school who likes you as much as he does."

"Come now Spike. I know he's a nice guy and all, but I can't really like him-like him purely on his good looks alone. He must have something in order to make me like him more. And he's..."

Before finally leaving the school ground, Twilight stopped so she can have one more good look at Flash before going. But when she turn around, she saw him crawling around the ground, looking like he was still looking for something. Left too confused to leave, Twilight goes back to see what he's doing.

Flash didn't heard Twilight's footsteps coming back to him, even when she walked got right next to him. When she looked down, she saw him seething through the dirt, looking for something that must be really small.

"Flash?"

Flash jumped when he heard his name. When he look up and discover Twilight towering over him, she asked him: "What are you doing?"

"I um... looking for my pick. You see; a pick is what a guitarists use to..."

"I know what a music pick is!" she stated strongly. "Why are you looking for it on the ground?"

Embarrassingly, Flash admits that: "I kind of... lost it and I really need it for band practice in a minute."

"I see...... Well I hope you'll find it." she said as turns back and began walking home again.

Flash, not hearing what she said, says back to her: "Nah, that's ok Twilight. I can find it on my own." It wasn't until he finished speaking that he realized that she walked away.

Author's Notes:

Ok, I know not a lot of bronies like him, but let's talk about Flash Sentry. I personally don't mind Flash Sentry. While everyone loves to call him boring, bland and a "waifu-stealer", I think he is an ok guy that don't deserve to be hated on.

But with that said, his relationship with Twilight could have been handled a whole lot better. And so, to correct that, I decided to have their relationship to be one sided. Flash likes Twilight, but Twilight has no interest for him in this story. That doesn't mean she won't be kind to him, but like what I had written, she has no feeling towards him.

But on a side note, I like how I wrote the two meet in this story. They both meet because of an accident and one of them developed a crush on them on first sight. I'm kind of a sap for those kind of stuff. In fact, as I was writting this, I couldn't help but think of Disney's Beauty and the Beast for some reason.

Chapter 5- Viral

Despite still having more than an hour before the first bell rings, Twilight was already being hard on herself for not getting there earlier. With a heavy bag in tow, she rushes towards the school with urgency for winning the Formal. Since the dance is but a day away, Twilight feels that she needs every available second that she has if she wants to win.

When the school is within her sight, Twilight stopped to catch her breath. But as soon as she does, she suddenly heard a certain little dog that seems to had followed her to school again.

"TWILIGHT!" barks the little puppy as he running up behind her.

Usually, there's a tiny part in Twilight's mind that's glad to see Spike following her to school, knowing that she has at least somebody to cheer her up. But this time, with everything that is on her mind, seeing Spike only upsets her. "Go Home Spike!" she yells at him. "I don't have time babysitting you again today!"

"No!" thought Spike, disobeying his master's command. "After everything that happened yesterday, no way I'm letting you doing this alone. You need me."

When she sees that her dog was ignoring her orders, Twilight gave him her most intimidating and stressful face that she can give. However, Spike's was not swayed and he stands his ground. As they were having their staring contest, Spike could tell that his stern look wasn't going to persuade Twilight. So instead, he uses his ultimate weapon... his puppy dog eyes. Changing his tough hound expression to an innocent puppy's face, Twilight vigour slowly saps away from her. Battling with a stern face against one that is sweet and endearing; Twilight finds it impossible to keep on fighting.

"Damn It Spike! You Know I Can't Win Against That Face!" Twilight yells, frustrated that had she lost yet again. Spike, feeling satisfied with his victory, hops into her bag and let her carry him. When she sees how cheery Spike was, Twilight remarks: "Hm... Maybe I can use you for my campaign."

The two return back to Canterlot High. As Twilight walks pass the horse statue, she recalls meeting Fluttershy and wonder how she is doing right now. She also remembers being hit by the mysterious crown and was confused on where it came from. The last memory that pops back into her head was when she was about to climb up the steps. Looking down at the dirt, she imagines Flash, still looking for his pick. But after she climbed the stairs and pushes open the school doors, the only thing running through her mind was focusing on today.

As Twilight walk through the school, she was glad to see a few students coming in early. Not only because it shows their willingness to learn but also an opportunity to talk to them, convince them to vote for her. But as she was walking by some of them, a few of them began to giggle. It was like they're telling a joke to each other and she just can't hear it. However, Twilight pay them no mind as she assumes that they were telling jokes.

The first thing that Twilight got plan for was plastering her face all over the school. Before arriving home last night, Twilight went to a poster shop and had them make a ton of copies from a poster that she made. It was a portrait of herself and list several of qualities about her that would make her an ideal princess. The added pink and purple made it look a bit girly, but it goes well with her natural body colour. She put one on the bulletin board and several walls across the school. It was a sure way to get people to notice her quickly.

However, as she was putting one poster up, Twilight overheard some students whispering behind her back.

"Hey, it her *giggle* *giggle*"

When she turns around, the students pretend that they said nothing at all. But as soon as Twilight went back to her poster, she heard them giggling again. Twilight did not like the sign of it but she ignored it.

Once she felt that she had put up enough posters, Twilight then proceed to talk with the students. She spotted one group of music dudes talking amongst themselves and she worked up enough courage to go and talk to him. When they spotted Twilight coming towards them, she says to them:

"Greetings, I was wondering if..."

But as soon as she got close to them, they all began laughing and walk off into a different direction. Seeing the bad signs becoming more and more obvious, Twilight turn around at Spike and asks out loud: "Ok, just what the heck is going on?" When she tried approach another group, this time the drama kids, they didn't laugh at her but clearly whispering about her. Twilight wasn't so sure if she wants to go and talk to people anymore and walks off.

Twilight quickly figured that something has happened that is making the students laugh at her, getting her the centre of their attentions but in a wrong way. She decided to lay low, at least until classes start and hopefully the students will calm down. However, as she was walking a hallway, she began feeling that everyone was looking at her, talking about her. Some looked concerned while some looked like they were about to laugh. This kind of attention was slowly eating away at Twilight, making her feel that the student body was against her.

As soon as Twilight thought about hiding in a nearby bathroom, she heard one girl shrieking "TWILIGHT!". When she looks and sees who it is, she was surprised to see it was somebody that she recognizes.

"Rarity!?” Twilight yells in surprised.

"Rarity!!" thought a delightfully surprised Spike.

Rarity, looking slightly dishevelled, ran towards her. Twilight asks: "Rarity, what's going on?"

But Rarity responds: "There's no time. Just come with me." She then grabs Twilight's wrist and pulls her down the hall. Twilight didn't know what was going on, but she's glad to be getting out of there.

About a minute later, Rarity took Twilight to an unoccupied classroom. As the two girls catch their breaths, Rarity peaks outside the door. "Ok, I think nobody saw use entering here" Rarity remarks before turning her attention to Twilight.

Twilight response was: "Well that's great Rarity, but can you please tell me why we need to be hiding in a classroom?"

Rarity explains: "Because you do not want to be seen in the public eye right now." She then shows Twilight a bag full of clothes and says: "I brought some outfits that you can use to disguise yourself. Here, try these on." Rarity then gave Twilight a green dress and a blond wig.

As Twilight was left confused on what was going on, Spike got out of her bag so he can meet the target of his affection. When Rarity saw the little dog, she went: "Ooh! Spike!" and picks him up. Thinking he was about to be bathed with love and care from his crush, Spike was not prepared when she put a bunny costume on him.

"There! I knew you would look good in a bunny outfit" Rarity remarks as she hugs him tightly in her arms. Twilight, upon seeing her dog in an adorable yet embarrassing outfit, forget her worries for the moment and burst out chuckling.

Spike, seeing what Rarity has done, shakes restlessly and screams: "GET ME OUT OF THIS THING!"

And then suddenly, Fluttershy appeared through the door on the other side of the room. When she sees Rarity and Twilight inside, she call out to other people outside. "This way everybody! Rarity has already found her." However, the instant that she saw Spike, she quickly becamed charmed. "Oh my gosh Spike! You! Look! So! ADORABLE!" Fluttershy then snatches Spike out of Rarity's hands and hugs him even tighter.

When Rarity and Twilight realized that Fluttershy has appeared, Applejack, Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie soon enter the room as well. But as soon as they saw Spike, they became distracted as well. While Dash fell to the fall laughing, Pinkie Pie jump-up and squeals before running over and try to play with him. Applejack half-heartedly remarks that: "Well I'll be... you do look well suited to be amongst the rabbits there Spike."

Spike now feels that he can relate to Twilight; receiving attention but not the kind that he wants. After being messed with both Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie, Spike shakes himself free from their hold and screams: "THAT'S ENOUGH!" Once he is on his own 4 feet, he storms to a corner and tries to get the bunny suit off.

As the last bits of laughter were leaving her body, Twilight slowly realizes who is in the room. "Fluttershy! Pinkie Pie! Applejack and Rainbow Dash!? What are you all doing here?"

Rainbow Dash explains: "Once we all saw the video, we thought that you might need some help." However, she adds while looking at Applejack: "And unlike SOME PEOPLE, I'll be there to actually help out."

"Not the time, RD" Applejack says back to her, grinding her teeth as she does it.

Twilight yells: "Video! What Video!? Is this why everybody has been laughing at me!?"

"What! You haven't seen it" Fluttershy asks. Twilight just nods her head side to side.

Despite not saying a word, Twilight was glaring at all five girls and was saying that she want to see the video. The girls, afraid from the glare, were understandably hesitant showing it to her. Pinkie tries to tell her that: "You know... you don't really need to see the video to know that it's bad. You just need to..." However, Twilight gave them an even stronger death glare that made them give into her commands. Fluttershy then got out a laptop and began setting it up on one of the desks. Once it was, Pinkie asks Twilight: "Are you sure you want to watch it?"

"I'm sure" replies Twilight as she sat down on the desk that has the laptop. When she press a button and the video began to play, a recognizable voice was heard which none of them liked.

"Let’s meet the person who wants to be your Fall Formal princess: Twilight Sparkle" says the voice as it shows an image of Twilight walking down a hall. "She would say that she has all of the qualities on being your princess, but does she really? Watch these clips and you decide for yourselves." The video then shows Twilight finding the library and follow her inside.

The Twilight in the video was initially start struck upon seeing the library. She rushes to a shelf of books and pull several titles. But then, the voice says: "A princess needs to be generous and share things with others." With that said and showing Twilight hugging and running away with the books, it depicts Twilight as greedy and is unwilling to share.

The video then changes over to a scene with Twilight trying to use a photocopier. As she put in a poster that she wants to use, the voice says: "A princes needs to be kind and patient and always show integrity." The video then shows Twilight trying to work the copier, but it wasn't working. She then try a bunch of buttons, growing more and more frantic as she does it, but nothing happens. As Twilight opens the lid and sees what's wrong, she gotten blasted by a blinding light which cause her to stumble over and she made a goofy face.

The scene then shifts to Twilight doing some work by a computer. The voice didn't say anything this time, but a figure appears and was hiding under a green hoody. The figure then sticks a piece of paper on Twilight’s back that says “Dork” on it. The figure would have gotten away with it… if he hadn’t turn towards camera to gives a thumps up, revealing himself to be one of Sunset’s lackeys (the scrawny one). He was snickering to his accomplishment, but was soon chased away by Spike. However, Twilight was completely unaware to any of this, despite Spike barking and growling really loudly. She even didn’t notice the librarian walking by and pulling the “Dork” sticker off of her. The only thing that made her jumped out of her seat was when a stack of book fell off the table.

The Video then shows the poster that Twilight made as the voice speaks. “Remember; when you decide on who you want to be your princess, remember the qualities on makes a princess special and ask yourself if Twilight really has them?” The video then ends by taking the face that Twilight made in the copier scene and pasting it over the poster.

When the video finished, Twilight was left mortified to what she had just watched. Not only did she lose any chance of winning, but she had also been humiliated and slenderized. She didn't know what to think no more other than her school like has just died.

The rest of the girls watched as Twilight crumbled before their very eyes. No longer able to stand seeing Twilight like this, Applejack tries to comfort her and says: “It’s alright sugar cube, it’s not the end of the world. We just… We just need to work out a way on how to turn this thing around.”

“And how do you suppose we do that Applejack?” asks Rainbow Dash.

When AJ was having difficulty coming up with an answer, Pinkie jumps and yells to everybody: “Oh I know! We throw a giant PARTY!”

“That’s you answer for everything Pinkie Pie?” Fluttershy replied, unhappy with her idea.

"Well I Don't See You Coming Up With Any Good Ideas!" Pinkie says back to her.

"Speaking of which" says Rarity as she buts in. "I don't see why you're involved in this Pinkie Pie, or how your connected to Twilight in any way?"

Offended, Pinkie told them: "Twilight is my friend too you know. Yesterday, she put her name on the Ballard just so Sunset would leave me alone."

Upon hearing the news, Rarity reactively says out load: "So YOU'RE responsible for all of this. If it wasn't for you, Twilight wouldn't even be in this mess."

Shocked, Pinkie yells: "WHAT! WH-WH-WH-WH WHAT!"

Seeing that the argument is going into a different direction and was getting dangerous, Applejack jumps in the middle of the two and says out load: "CALM DOWN YALL! Screaming and blaming each other isn't going to salve anything."

However, Rainbow Dash added herself in and added: "Yeah, we have to tear down this video and go after the one who made it." She says this while grasping her fist and looking like she's ready for a fight.

"And how is that going to help" Applejack rebutted. "Everybody had already seen the video. Tearing it down isn't going to make them forget about it."

"So not like the time where you stood me up while I had brought the softball team?"

"No... like when you stood me!"

And like that, everyone in the room started arguing. They were throwing accusations at each other, start saying insulting at one another. The room became so filled with load shouting and hatred that Twilight couldn't hear herself think. Twilight, who witness the death of her social life, slowly becoming even angrier than the girls who were shouting. Eventually, it reached to a boiling point where Twilight says:

"Would you please... SHUT UP!"

As Twilight voice echoed throughout the room, everyone else had stopped and spotted and infuriated Twilight was. Consumed in hatred, Twilight yells to everyone: "I Don't Care What You Girls Are All Arguing About Because It Doesn't Involves ME! I Was In That Video And Everyone Out There Is Laughing At Me! And Do You Want To Know Something;... IT'S ALL OF YOUR FAULT FOR GETTING ME INTO THIS MESS!" As Twilight grabs her bag and began leaving the room, she yells to them: "If I Had Never Met ANY Of You, My Life Would Have Been So Much Better Then It Is Now! But Instead, It Was Been Ruined Because I Decided To Get Involved With All Of You!" And when she was at the door, she told them: "I WISH I HAD NEVER MET ANY OF YOU!"

When she left and slammed the door behind her, everyone who was in the room was shocked. Even Spike had just seen a side of Twilight which he'd never seen before. Each was frozen like statue and none even attempted to go after Twilight. Everyone... except for Spike.

"Twilight! Wait Up!" screams the little dog as he tries to chase after his master. When he reached the door, he just barely reached the door handle and opened it by himself. When he got the door, Spike ran out of the room and was about to look for Twilight... until he ran right into her.

When he recovers, he looks up to see what cause her to stop. But when he did, he saw Sunset Shimmer, leaning by a wall toying with one of Twilight's posters.

"It's a shame to see such good friends to start fighting like this" she says sarcastically. "But if friendship can be torn apart so easily, I don't see the point in making friends to begin with."

Twilight, seeing Sunset as a target for her anger, says to her in a calm fury: "It was You! You were the one who made that video."

"I don't know? Maybe it was me?" she replied nonchalantly, almost like she thinks that she will have no consequences for what she did. Sunset then get off from leaning on the wall and toys with Twilight a bit closer. "But that not important anymore. You no longer have a chance in winning your crown back and returning it to Equestria." She says this while tearing up her poster in front of her face. And while Twilight was exposed by her confusing word, Sunset strikes a blow to Twilight currently fragile heart by telling her: "And speaking of which; go home Twilight. This world no longer wants you. You should go back to where you came from with the thought that I am better then you."

Twilight was in shock. Not has Sunset pulled the cruellest prank one could make on the new girl, but also said words that questions if she was even human. In a sudden jolt of anger, Twilight raised her hand, looking like she could either slap Sunset... or possibly even bunch her. The hand was raised so fast, that even Sunset flinched and was in fear of being hit.

Sunset was expecting a hit... but didn't expect to hear the sounds of sobbing. As Sunset was on guard for a hit that never came, she began hearing the sounds of someone crying right in front of her. When she let down her guard, she saw Twilight, so broken up by everything that happened that she had broken down into tears. The hand that was raised that looked like it was about to hurt her was now being used for a cover to hide Twilight's tears. Sunset was so surprised by all of this, she didn't know what to think of it.

Twilight, feeling a great desire to leave her current position, runs away down the hall. Sunset did nothing to stop her or her dog that chases after her. Left so shocked by her own actions, Sunset asked herself: "Did I go too far?"

Author's Notes:

Yeah... this was a little dark. But what would expect from a chapter title like "Viral". A nasty virus can do nasty things. In fact: I don't feel so ashamed for going to fix all of this in the next chapter.

For the longest time, I wondered what I was going to replace the content in Sunset's video. I literally came up with it as I was finish writing; have Twilight's actions to be interpreted in a nasty way. That way, the story won't be as contrived as it needs to be. If anybody thinks that I should add a bit more scenes in the video, I don't mind editing it a bit more.

Also, by the way; it was Snips & Snails who was the cause for the malfunctioning photocopier. I remembered them being so "sneaky" in the movie, I imagined one of them to get behind the machine and toying with the power socket.

And talking about funny scenes, let me tall to you about the beginning of this chapter. For those you have forgotten about the opening chapter of this story, I wrote about how Twilight can't resist and gives into Spike's puppy dog eyes every time she sees them. The thing is, I have forgotten about that as I was writing this chapter but I already planned on making them do a staring contest. So yeah, Twilight has never won against those eyes.

Chapter 6- The Power of Reuniting Friendship

The first bell rang and Twilight never came to class. The second bell rang and she was nowhere to be seen. No one has even spotted Twilight since school started, even her loyal dog Spike was at a lost and having trouble finding her. He was running up and down the school, frantically searching for his heart broken master. He tried finding and following Twilight's scent, but in the many skills that he's smart enough of doing, scent tracking was unfortunately wasn't one of them.

"Man! Why wasn't I born with a better nose?" Spike moaned in frustration. "Ok Spike, calm yourself. You know Twilight better than anyone else so you should be able to find her. What would be the place that Twilight would go after a lot of stress?"

After mere moments after he asked himself that question that Spike had already gotten an idea on and heads to where she might be. He ran down corridors, shifting around corners and hoping that he remembers the place from yesterday. But fortunately, he did remember as he arrived to Twilight's favourite place in the world... a library.

As he walks through the open doors, even Spike knows that she might not be here. Even though this is might be her favourite place, Twilight might not want to come back to the spot that was the setting for her humiliation. Spike knows that it's a longshot, but he would try looking here first before seeing if she ran back home.

Immediately by the entrance, Spike could see (or couldn't see) that Twilight wasn't at the computers. He checked by several book shelves on the ground floor and couldn't see Twilight anywhere. Spike thought that this was a fruitless search, until he starts hearing faint sounds of someone weeping. Using his highly tuned ears, Spike followed the weeping which led him to the second floor of the library. When he was right behind the corner from the source, Spike prepared himself for if it wasn't going to be Twilight or if it is Twilight and would really need him. When he did turn the corner, he was somewhat happy to discover that it was actually Twilight.

Twilight was sitting down into a corner, crying tears of sorrow right onto her skirt. Several of her posters were scattered by her feet and several looked like that they were torn up by her. The second Spike started to walk towards, Twilight head shot up in surprise. "Spike..." she cried, somewhat relived to see him.

"Hi Twilight" weep poor Spike as he becomes for sad his master.

When Spike got close to her, Twilight pulled him in closer and cuddles him for comfort. He didn't know anything else that he can do but to let Twilight to hug him tightly and let her to cry out her worries. With the memory of Sunset still fresh in her head, telling that she isn’t welcomed anymore, Twilight whispered softly to herself.
"Maybe it's not too late to go back to Crystal Prep?"

And with those words uttered, Twilight finally feels that she has been defeated. The whole reason that she transferred to Canterlot in the first place was so she could escape to a different more colourful environment. But with that gone however, she felt that she has accomplished nothing. As Twilight retreats into herself, she began to recall her reason transferring to a different school.

It was like any other day at Crystal Prep; being challenged with a ton of work and everyone else is more concerned with their own achievements than worrying about other people. She remembering carrying a heavy load of books down the hall way and no one wasn’t even given her a 1st glance, let alone a 2nd. Twilight always felt that she only has herself to rely on, with Spike only giving her moral support. It was like any other day at Crystal Prep, but that day had something different.

As Twilight was about to reach her locker, she accidently bumped into someone and dropped all of her books. As Twilight was registering what has happened, she realized that she bumped into someone who wasn’t from her school. It was Principal Celestia who was visiting to see Dean Cadence… who was right behind her as it so happens.

Recognizing who she had just bumped into, Twilight quickly falls into a panic. “I am so-so, so-so sorry! I promise it won’t happen again” she quickly apologizes.

But as Twilight was picking up her books, she saw Principal Celestia leaning down and helping her. “That’s ok” she told her. “I just want to know if you are ok?”

“Um... yes?” she replied, taken back by the kind gesture.

As Celestia handing over the books that she collected back over to Twilight, she realizes how many books that she was carrying. “Oh my… that is a lot of books that you’re carrying. You don’t know anyone here who will help you?”

“No, that’s ok. I mostly do everything by myself. I don’t really need anybody’s help.” Twilight replied, before whispering to herself: "It isn't like anybody is offering or anything."

"Well that's a shame" Celestia remarks. "Back at my CHS, a bright girl like yourself would most definitely be able to find some friends who would be happy to help." Upon realizing what she had just said, Celestia look back at Cadence behind her and told her: "I don't mean anything against your school, Dean Cadence."

"That's ok Celestia, I know what your meant" she replied, knowing there wasn't any ill will behind it.

With that incident avoided, Celestia turn back around to Twilight and told her: "Well anyway, if there are any issues that are bothering you, be sure to tell your teachers."

As the two principals left Twilight, she slowly began to become curious about this "CHS". She knows that Crystal Prep is a well-known school that brings out the best and brightest students, but that so far isn't making her want to stay. She was also was impressed with Principal Celestia and wonders what her school is like with her being in charge. And after that day, Twilight researched about Canterlot High. for herself and slowly become interested on transferring there.

However, Twilight now know that that curiosity had resulted in disaster and humiliation. She was made a fool on her second day by a cruel bully and if she returns to Crystal Prep now, she would still look like a fool for leaving there in the first place. And right now, the only thing that she has is her dog Spike and her own self-pity.

But as Twilight was wallowing in said pity, she began hearing voices that slowly brings her out from her depression.

"Hey! Are you ok?"
"I don't know about this Apple Bloom. Maybe we should just call a teacher?"
"Hey! Are you sleepin' or are you..."
"Hey! I think she's waking up!"

As Twilight rips away the dry tears from her eyes, she was slowly returning back to today. When she finally opens them, she discovered and was surprised to see three freshmen girls looking over her. The freshman who was closes to Twilight had a bright ribbon tied to her hair and was wearing clothes that looks suitable for working outdoors. The second one looks a bit cuter and kinda fashionable, with brighter colours to her outfit and hair. The last one looks a bit tomboy-ish, having a dark hoodie, pants and purple hair. However, they all have seemed to resemble other people that Twilight knows but couldn't put her finger on it yet.

"Are you alright?" ask the girl with the bright ribbon.

"Yeah, I'm fine" Twilight replies. Spike then jumps off of her so she could get up and stretch.

After taking notice of her dog, the girl with the hoodie came to a realization and says out load: "Hey, I Know You!"

"You do!" Twilight responded, sounding surprised.

"Yeah! You're Twilight Sparkle, the girl that everybody is talking about."

After the other two girls took a moment to stare at Twilight they both came to the same conclusion. The girl with the brighter colours of the even said out load: "Oh yeah!"

Seeing these girls recognizing her had caused Twilight to fall back down to a glum attitude. After picking Spike up back into her bag, Twilight then told the girl: "Well that's great, but you better run along before someone sees you with me and get laughed at."

"What! You mean because of that video that was made about you?" asked by the cute freshmen, stopping Twilight as she was about to leave.

Twilight told her: "Yes, that video."

After the freshmen gave a hesitant look at each other, the girl with the ribbon, now spotting the "county-ism" in her voice, told Twilight that: "Yeah... we not all that bothered by that, especially after all the videos that we've made." When Twilight looked disbelieving to what she said, she then asks her: "Do want to see it?" Curious, Twilight went with the freshmen so she can see their video.

Twilight followed the girls to the computers, at which point they bring up the video for her to watch. As Twilight was about to play it, Spike gave her some headphones so she can listen quietly. As soon as the video started, she discovered that it was some sort of a music video. But as she was watching it, Twilight slowly become perplexed. They were doing weird dancing while wearing some weird costumes and was singing a song that didn't what to say about it. It's something that she won't easily forget, but she is having a hard time putting down what she is seeing into words. When it was done, Twilight didn't know what she had just watched.

Twilight quickly snapped out of it when the freshmen took away her headphones. The tomboy admits: "Yeah... we know that isn't one of our best works." Twilight didn't have a counterargument.

But then, the freshmen with the cute outfit got in front of the computer and told Twilight: "But the thing about posting stuff on the internet Twilight is that not everyone is going to have the same opinion." As she was showing Twilight the comments of their video, she explain to her: "I mean yeah, we often get comments saying that this is the funniest thing they have ever seen. But sometimes we get comments saying how we can improve ourselves and make a better performance."

The girl with the ribbon then asks Twilight: "Did you check the comment's section on your video?"

"No I haven't" Twilight replied, somewhat amazed that she haven't thought of that.

Out of intrigue, Twilight brought up her video on the computer screen. She was afraid to what she might find, but she was also hoping that she might find something that might lighten her mood. And what she did find was something fascinating.

She could still find some hurtful comments, but the rest was overflowing with kindness and sympathy that it blew Twilight away. Not only did she discover that she still has a chance of winning, but she also realizes that it isn't the end of the world for her.

As Twilight was scrawling down to the page, she saw a group of comments who says that they want to help her. But there were two odd things about them though. One, the seemed a bit unease about them all working together. Second, something about the commenter usernames: "Pinkamena", "Rainboom", "AJ". Twilight has a hunch on who they might be, but wasn't completely sure yet to say for curtain.

But then, the freshmen with the cute outfit got in front of Twilight and point to one of the comments. "Hey! I think this is Rarity's" she said out load

Surprised, Twilight push herself back and ask out load: "Wait, how you know who Rarity is?"

"Well she's my sister. Didn't I told you that?" she replied. With a shocked expression, Twilight just silently nodded: "No."

"Whoops" muttered the girl with the ribbon. Seeing that they forgot to do it, the freshmen decided to finally introduce themselves. "Well my names Apple Bloom and Applejack is my big sis'."

"And I'm Sweetie Belle and I'm Rarity's younger sister."

The last girl to introduce herself was the tomboy who says: "I'm Scootaloo, and while Rainbow Dash isn't actually my sister, she is like my idol."

Apple Bloom then admitted: "In fact, we learn about you by our sisters before we saw ya video."

Upon learning who Apple Bloom's, Sweetie Belle's and Scootaloo's sisters were, Twilight became chuffed and says: "Wow, you are so not like your sisters."

"Yeah" Sweetie replied, sounding regretful as she says it. "It's a shame, they were really good friends to each other. It's sad to see them fighting like this."

"Yeah... it is sad" Twilight agreed, feeling sympathetic towards them.

And then Scootaloo admitted: "Yeah, we were really hoping that you would somehow bring them all back together."

"What! Why me?" Twilight asked.

Scootaloo explains: "Are you kidding? They were saying great things about you. They all haven't agreed on anything before you came around."

"Really! But I... said such horrible things to them" Twilight whispered to herself, remembering the last things she said to them. Thinking back, she realized how horrible and selfish she was. Even though they haven't forgiven each other, those five girls at least tried to put their issues aside just so they can help her. Twilight feels ashamed of herself for not being the friend that they deserve. With one shared look at Spike, she knows what she has to do to make it up for them.

Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo were left in confusion while Twilight was thinking. They were then caught off guard however when Twilight asked them: "Can I ask you girls a favour?" They weren’t sure what she had come up with, but they all happily nodded when they can tell that it was something good.

She always believes that fashion is one of the best ways to show people what is in your heart, but Rarity doesn't want to see anyone what is inside hers at the moment. All she wanted to do was to protect Twilight, but ended up bickering with her old friends instead. And after the hearing the words Twilight said to them, Rarity felt worse than ever before. While everyone else was heading for launch, Rarity was alone by her locker, feeling grieving after everything that has happened.

But as she was about to open her locker, Rarity was caught by surprise when she heard her sister calling and running towards her.

"Rarity!" Sweetie Belle cried out when she spotter her.

Not wanting her sister to see her in a depressed state, Rarity quickly organize herself and push back all of her sad emotions for the time being. When Sweetie Belle came up to her, Rarity put on a fake smile and greeted her.

"Hi Sweetie Belle! Is there something to matter?"

"Sort of" she replied. "I really need you to follow me to the soccer field outside."

Wasn't expecting that sort of answer, Rarity asked Sweetie Belle: "Whatever for?"

However, Sweetie explains (or not explains) that: "I can't tell you just yet, but I really need you to follow me."

Rarity was about to tell her that she won't follow her unless she gave a reason for it. However, when she sees the urgencies in Sweetie Belle's eyes, she can tell that it's something important. Reluctantly, Rarity replies: "Ok fine."

"That's Great!" Sweetie yells cheerfully.

As Sweetie tugs on her arm, Rarity cried out: "Careful!"

As they were walking, Rarity was left to wonder to what her sister is up to. She knew about Apple Bloom and Scootaloo, but she couldn't see them anywhere along the way. If it's something that Sweetie Belle would need help with, she feels that she would just tell her and not be so cryptic. Rarity was left praying that her sister hadn't got herself into anything.

Eventually, Rarity and Sweetie reached the soccer field from of the side entrances. Upon arriving, Rarity asked out load: "Ok Sweetie Belle, were here. So what is so important that you brought me her for..." But as she looked around the pitched, she had found the answer by herself: Twilight. She spotted Twilight waiting patiently by the bleachers.

As Rarity was left too surprised to say anything, she soon heard other people coming. By the other entrance to the building, she saw Applejack and Pinkie Pie being led out by Apple Bloom. On her other side, she saw Scootaloo bringing Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy. Once they saw who was there, everyone was just as confused and surprised as Rarity.

Seeing that Twilight had brought them there, all of them gone up to her to see the reason why. Once they got up close, Applejack ask Twilight: "Why did you brought us here?"

Twilight replied: "I brought you all here so I can apologize to all of you." Everyone was token back by that response and Twilight couldn't blame them. After taking a deep breath, she explains: "I'm sorry for everything that I said to you. When first I came to Canterlot, I wasn't really planning on making friends. I came from a very prestige school where if you don't do everything by yourself, then everyone else would look down on you for needing help. I thought I don't need friends. But I now realize that I do need friends... need all of you."

As everyone was soaking in her words, Twilight got out a year book from her bag and flip to the pages that had them in it. Not only the one where they first met, but also another group photo which they taken later. Taken after an important soccer game, everyone was wearing horse ears and tails, except for Rainbow Dash who had a soccer kit on.

"Despite all of your differences, that didn't stop you from becoming such good friends. Despite all of your issuers with each other, you were willing to put everything aside just to help me! I may not know a lot about friendship, but I want to believe it can bring people together... brink people back-together. I know said such awful things, but can all of you... be... my... friends?"

They tried really hard, but they couldn't stop the tears from flooding their eyes. The only ones who weren't tearing up was Applejack and Rainbow Dash, even thought they were probably crying on the inside. Feeling so moved by Twilight's word, they bombard her with a group hug so great, they were pretty much crushing her. But Twilight didn't mind because she was finally feeling the comforting warmth of friendship. Meanwhile, Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo was finally glad to see their sister are back together again, although the scene was a bit too sweet for Scootaloo's tastes.

Once they were done hugging, Applejack put her arm out in the middle of all them and cried out: "Alright yall; let’s say we put our heads together and make Twilight our Fall Formal Princess!"

However, as everyone else was about to slam their hands together and was about to say "I", Twilight jumped in the middle of all of them and yells: "WAIT!!!" Everyone was shocked by her sudden outburst as they assumed that this is what she want. Once she sees they all had stopped, Twilight explains to them: "I'm all for love & friendship now, but I still think we should still talk about our problem and not pushing it to the side. If we don't sort out all of our issues now, it will just come back later and haunt us"

Everyone took a moment to think about before they all sort of agree that Twilight was right. "Yeah, I guess that's true" Applejack admitted. As everyone stood around Twilight, Pinkie yells: "Let's Do This!"

"All right, let’s start with Rainbow and Applejack since their problem seems the most contradictory" Twilight told them as she point her fingers towards Rainbow.

Despite not knowing what contradictory means, Rainbow Dash replies: "Alright I guess? Shoot."

Twilight started by laying down the facts. "Ok... Applejack says that you never arrived to her bake sale with the softball team, but you said that you did arrived with the team and couldn't find anyone?" Upon everyone hearing it out load, everyone quickly picked up the contradiction. They all looked at Applejack and Rainbow Dash and none of them thinks either of them were lying. Twilight asks Rainbow: "Were you sure you went to the right place?"

"No, I was sure I went to the right place" Rainbow replied. "It was at the park on the 6th, right?"

"Yeah, that's... Wait... the 6th!?" AJ responded, sounding surprised. "My bake sale was on the 5th. Didn't I told you that?"

Rainbow replied: "You did... but then I got a text from you saying that you have move it to the 6th."

"What!"

"Yeah, I thought it was a little weird, but I decided to follow it."

But then, just as Applejack was about to say something, Pinkie Pie butted in. "Strange... that sounds like something that happened to me." Grabbing everyone attention, she explains: "When I got my text from Fluttershy, I thought it was a bit strange for her to ask for a big party. But I just thought she wanted to get people excited to adopt animals."

Fluttershy cried out in confusion: "What!"

Pinkie then got out her phone and says: "Yeah, it's right next to the text that says that you never ever, ever, ever, Ever want to come to my apology party."

However, Fluttershy told Pinkie: "But... I never sent any texts?"

"Same here" AJ added.

Both Pinkie and Rainbow Dash collectively yells: "WHAT!" and was left utterly shocked. Fluttershy even added: "I never even heard about your apology party until yesterday."

"Hang on a minute" Rarity cried out. "Pinkie; did you send me any emails saying you don't need my help decorating any of your parties?"

"Oh course not" Pinkie replied. "You know how to make things seems shiny and fancy."

As they were uncovering a dreadful pattern, everyone began looking at each other with worry. She didn't like to say it, but Applejack suggest to everyone: "Wait... are we saying that someone was sending us fake texts and messages to us... just to cause us to fight?..." Everyone was left too speckles to even mutter any sounds when they heard the suggestion. Even Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo became so worried that they were checking their own phones to see if they have got any fake texts. "Just... Who would do such a thing like" AJ asked out load to everyone.

While everyone else was left too baffled by the discovery, Twilight began remembering what Sunset said to her. "... But if friendship can be torn apart so easily, I don't see the point in making friends to begin with."

"Torn apart, not Fall apart" says Twilight as she mumbled to herself.

"Did you say something Twilight?" asked Applejack as she overheard her.

All eyes was on Twilight as they all can tell that she thought of someone. With much hesitation, Twilight says to all of them: "Maybe it was Sunset Shimmer?"

Everyone looked conflicted. None of them looked like they agree with Twilight, but none of them looked ready to disagree with her either. Rarity rest one hand on Twilight's shoulder and told her: "Listen dearie; I know we all like to blame Sunset for every little mishap, but we can't say that's what actually happened."

"Really? None of you have done anything that got you on her bad side?" Twilight replied back.

Twilight has caused everyone to think a lot harder than before. They could see Sunset do something like this and it isn't hard to get on her bad side. Rarity turns to Pinkie and ask her: "Pinkie, I don't suppose you remember when we broke up exactly? Considering you might have the best memory out of all of us."

When Rarity ask her that question, Pinkie's was forced to recall one of the hardest moments of her life and her hair spontaneously falls down flat. She replied very depressingly: "Yeah... sure. We broke up around the end of spring." But as soon as she was done talking, her joyful expression returns and her hair became lively again.

With that reminder, Rarity thought out load to everyone: "Well; the only thing that I recall all of us doing that time was trying to win..." However, Rarity cut herself off when she let out a frightening gasp as she remembers something important.

"What were you doing!?" Twilight asked worryingly.

Rarity told them all: "... When we were trying to win the Spring Fling!"

Everyone became shocked as all of the pieces were falling into place. They all remember Rarity competing against Sunset for the title of princess and they remember they all chipping in and helping her out. However, they all began fighting with each other because of the fake texts and their falling apart gave her the win by default. With a motive and correlating evidence, they were all certain that Sunset Shimmer was responsible.

Infuriated, Rainbow Dash yells out in anger: "I Can't Believe It! Sabotaging our friendship just to win a stupid contest!? Its one thing if she'd cheated, but this... This Is..."

"UNFORGIVABLE!!!" screamed Pinkie as she finishes of Rainbow's sentence.

Everyone was getting mad and Twilight was slowly getting a bit intimidated. Very calmly, she tried to say to them: "Well... it's good to see that sorted out. Now let’s go somewhere else and..."

However, Applejack cut her off as she told everyone: "Now We Have To Win This Time! Not Only Because Twilight Is Our Friend, But Also To Get Back At Sunset Shimmer!"

AJ then put her hand out in the centre again and everyone else quickly slam their hand down on top of her and voicing their agreements. As Twilight was the last one to put her hand out, they all began waiting for her. She was little bit shy, especially since they're so riled up, but she had decided to trust. "Ok, let's do this... as friends" she says before she send arm out. When their hands became connected, they all shoot their arms high to the sky and shout:

"YEAH!"

Author's Notes:

Well I hope this was a chapter that tugs on your heart strings. Not only did the Hu-mane 5 finally patch things up and Twilight is finally willing to call people friends, but she also found out there are more people who like to support her. But before I talk about my favorited part (which is the comments chat), I have got important information that I need to tell you:

It was at this chapter in the original story that I decided that Twilight was from Crystal Prep. I think the trailers and the movie clips were coming out at the time and I thought they looked really good.

However, I also watched Season 5's episode: "Amending Fences." When I found out about Moondancer and how she was effected by Twilight moving away, I thought she would make an interesting inclusion if I were to continue this story add Rainbow Rocks and Friendship Games into this universe. However, after thinking on it for a bit, I'm no longer as interested in that idea anymore. I would still add Moondancer, but would also add Native!Sunset to the Shadowbolt's team and I like that story potential a lot more.

Anyway, back to this chapter:

The reason why I include the Cutie Mark Crusader and let them to be the ones to cheer up Twilight was... well... since there's a portion of the show dedicated to them, I think they should have some more prominence then the movie. And besides; I've figured that they would be use to embarrassing videos on the internet.

However, I haven't figured out a good place to put Trixie in this yet.

Next: How the Hu-Mane 6 figured out about the fake texts and Sunset's involvement. Honestly, I've already figured out how I would do it, it was just a matter of time and how I would write it.

And last but not least: the "comments section". I would be lying if I didn't had some fun with this part. Using some of the fan nicknames and using them as the characters usernames... I just consider that genius. Take a wild guess on whom do you think "Grizelda" could be. Although, to be honest: I had some trouble finding some suitable usernames for some of the characters (the Hu-mane 5 especially... except for Pinkamena).

However, as I was writing, I realized something: Twilight is basically me in that scene. What I mean is that getting helpful and supporting comments gave Twilight the willpower to move forward. Sometimes, I get depressed and feel like I should stop writing. But knowing there are still some people who likes my work and leaving kind and helpful comments... they help give me the motivation to keep going. If it wasn't for those people, this story wouldn't had gotten this far. Thank you.

And with that said and done, I now have to do my best to not to leave this story incomplete. Just keep letting me know what I need to fix and tell me the parts that you like. I hope you enjoy my story.

Chapter 7- Help Twilight Win The Crown

With whatever time they had left, Twilight and her newly christened friends was trying their best to connive as many students as they can to vote for her. But with the bell to declare the end of lunch, they only have a few hours left before the school day ends.

As they were heading towards their next class, Applejack intercepted a pair of girls and tried to talk to them. "Hey! Can I tell you about a gal of mine called Twilight Sparkle" she asked them, hoping to get their interest.

Meanwhile, Rainbow Dash was already talking to a couple of guys she know while they were running laps in P.E. She told them: "First of: Forget about that video about her that everybody is talking about. It isn't cool."

Elsewhere, Rarity was having a similar conversation to the person next to her while they were painting in art class. "Not only it is a cruel act on Sunset's part, but it's something that Twilight doesn't deserve." Rarity told him; before she notices that he was more focus on his painting then listening to her. "A-Hem!" she sounded, forcing him to pay attention to her.

And at a different part of the school, Pinkie was trying to do a big presentation in the hallway with Fluttershy acting as an assistant. With a non-electric megaphone, Pinkie cries out to all the students who were passing by: "Twilight Sparkle Is The Smartest, Most Best-est Fall Formal Princess Ever! Please Vote For Her!"

Before Fluttershy could hand one guy a campaign button, he stopped her to her surprise. "Hang-on!? Aren't you the girls who hate each other or something?"

Fluttershy was about to respond until Pinkie put an arm around her and answer the question for her. "We are, until Twilight came around and help fix up all of our problems. We're Besties Again!" Fluttershy then cheerfully nodes.

The guy was taken aback by the explanation and even looked a little bit impressed, but he still declines the button. "Sorry, but there is no way I'm voting against Sunset Shimmer."

Back with Rainbow Dash's class who was doing sit-ups, the guys that Rainbow asked had gave a similar response. "Are You Kidding Me!" Rainbow yelled out in frustration. "You're letting a scrawny girl like Sunset push you around?"

However, one of the guys explains: "You don't get it. She has got blackmail material on us."

And then to Rarity's class, the guy she asked added: "And besides: I don't know enough about this new girl to feel comfortable to vote for her. I mean, what can she do to protect me from Sunset? But if there's any consolation..."

“… We’ll forget about the video" the girls replied before walking away from a disappointed Applejack.

Sometime later, school was declared done for the day and Twilight's second day at Canterlot was over. Twilight and her friends agreed to meet afterschool at a place which Pinkie works part time at: Sugar Cube Corner, a nice little café that isn't too far from school. Once they made themselves comfortable at one of the tables, Twilight wanted to know how much progress her and her friends had made. But despite not setting her expectations very high, she was still surprised to learn how little they made.

"What Do You Mean They Didn't Want To Vote For Me!?" Twilight cried out.

"Sorry Twilight, but they said they were too scared to vote against Sunset" Applejack replied and wanting her to calm down.

Depressingly, she asks them: "So... nobody is on our side?"

"Not Nobody Twilight!" Fluttershy answered. "The people who commented on your video agreed to vote for you."

Even though everyone knows that isn't a lot, but it's better than nothing and it stopped Twilight from panicking. Twilight then turns to Rarity and asks her: "Did you try to use Spike on a few people?"

Unfortunately, Rarity replied: "I've tried Twilight, but whenever I did, he would just do googly eyes at me." She then picks him up and shows everyone how love-struck Spike is towards her.

After Twilight face-palmed herself and was about to fall back into a depression, Rainbow Dash told her: "Hey, it's not our fault Twilight. Sunset just has everyone under her little fingers."

"And I'm not blaming you" Twilight told her. "But we only have one more day to change everybody's minds. What can we do to stop their fears of Sunset?"

Despite how difficult it was, everyone buckled down and began thinking really hard on a solution. Moments later, Rainbow came up with a vague idea. "We just need to show them that they're not alone" she thought out loud. "If we can show them that there are more people on Twilight's side then Sunset's, they won't feel too terrified to vote against her."

Everyone took a second before responding, giving enough time for Rainbow to doubt her answer. However, Twilight told her: "That's actually not a bad idea."

"Really!?" Rainbow asked, sounding surprised.

Twilight explains: "Yeah! If we can convince a really big group at once, then everyone else will sure to follow."

Wanting to contribute, Rarity added: "And I have something that can help with that." She then scavenges around her handbag until she brought out fake ears and tails. "Do you all remember these?" she asked them.

Instantly recognizing them, Pinkie jumps up and says: "I Remember Them! We help gave them out to everyone at Dashie's big soccer game in freshmen year."

"Exactly!" Rarity replies. "I thought I ripped some up and hope they will help. Not only will it show school spirit, but it will also show people that we're united for a common cause: to help Twilight."

She then gave a pair to everyone around the table and they eagerly put them on. However, as Twilight saw them with horse ears and tails, she couldn't help but to remember her weird vision. Secretly, she whispered to Spike: "Great, more pony stuff". Spike just shrugs confusingly with a vague understanding.

As Rarity was about to give Twilight her pair, she tried to decline and got up from her chair. "He he... I'll go get everyone drinks while you all think up a way on how we distribute these to everyone else."

Distracted, everyone yells out what drinks they want. "Oh! I would like a cappuccino" replied Rarity.

Pinkie eagerly shouted: "Oooh! I Want A Smoothie Please!"

Fluttershy told her: "Just juice for me thanks you."

Rainbow Dash yells out: "Bring Back Some Soda For Me!"

"Apple cider is fine for me" Applejack added.

And as Twilight was about to gladly get their drinks, Pinkie yells to her: "And You Can Put It on My Employees Discount!" Twilight then secretly chuckles as she leaves.

But then, as the girls were discussing what they're going to do, Flash Sentry entered the café in search for a quick snack. As he was about to head for the counter, he quickly spotted Twilight who was giving Mrs. Cake her order. Surprised and glad to see her, he quietly walks over and wants to talk to her.

But when he reached her, Twilight had already got the tray with all of her friend’s drinks. And as she walks backwards from the counter, she accidently collides into Flash. "AH!" Twilight shirked. She was so startled that she dropped the tray, but Mrs. Cake Fortunately caught it and avoided from having to clean a mess. When Twilight turn around to see, she became surprised when she see who it was yells: "Flash!"

"Hi Twilight" greeted Flash as he rub his nose.

Quickly deducing how his nose got bangs, Twilight was quick to apologize. "Oh I'm so sorry. Are you ok?"

"Nah, I'm ok. Believe or not, I get worst bruises then this" he replied. "But anyway, I have been looking all over for you."

"You have?" Twilight responded.

"Yeah. I saw that video of you online. Don't worry Twilight; I'll make sure everybody will forget about it."

After hearing what he she just said, Twilight chuckled by Flash's slow update. "Um... Thanks Flash, but me and my friends had already sorted it out."

"WHAT!" he replied. Hiding his disappointment for not helping her, Flash says to Twilight: "Well um... that's great."

"Thanks" she replied, feeling a bit awkward and pity for Flash Sentry. Wanting to change the subject, she asked him: "Well... did you find that pick of yours?"

"... Sort of" he replied, which means he couldn't find it and Twilight found unsurprising.

When the conversation became too awkward for either of them to bear, Twilight picked up the tray of drinks and told Flash: "Well Flash, it's been nice talking to you, but have to get these drinks to my friends."

"Oh, ok. I let you go do that... If you need any assistance, I'm happy to lend a hand."

"I let you know if I need to" she replied. As the two finally part ways, Twilight was glad that the conversation was over and breathe a sigh of relief.

When she returns to her friends with all the drinks, Twilight says cheerfully to everyone: "I'm Back! Did anyone come up with good ideas?"

However, as she put the drinks on the table, she notices that her friends were giving her some weird looks. Rarity was smirking at Twilight and looking like she's proud of her, Applejack and Rainbow Dash looked like they're on the verge of laughter, Fluttershy was giving her a small smile and Pinkie was twirling around a flashlight. Confused, Twilight was forced to ask: "What? What is it?"

"Come now Twilight, we saw everything" Rarity replied.

"You saw what exactly!?" Twilight asked them loudly.

While everyone else still like to be cryptic, Pinkie Pie admits: "We saw you over there talking with Flash Sentry and we think you two look good together."

When she heard the explanation, Twilight face palmed herself in frustration. She yells to all of them: "Look; he just some guy that I met yesterday... and just that."

""And just that?" Darling, anyone could tell that he has a thing for you" Rarity rebutted.

Twilight then stated: "I know he has a thing for me... but it's completely one-sided."

"What! I'm Shocked!" Rarity replied. "If it were me, I wouldn't mind going out with a guy like Flash Sentry. But then again, I'm not sure Sunset would be happy if anybody is going out with Flash at the moment."

"And why's that?" asked Twilight.

Rarity explains: "Sunset and Flash use to be an item until I heard they broke up."

"Really!" Twilight responded. And then, with Sunset in her brain, she sarcastically remark: "Maybe they're still together and he's been spying on me all this time?"

Everyone knew she wasn’t being serious, but they all decide to humour the thought and began spying on Flash. After they saw Flash buying a bag full of cupcakes, he began walking towards the exit. When notice the girls looking at him, he decided to wave to them. But as they were waving back, Flash then walked right into the door frame. As he stumbles out of the café, the girls turn back towards each other and they all say: "NAH!" before they began to laugh.

Once they all calm down, Rarity remarks: "But seriously Twilight, I can't understand why you're not at least a little bit interested in him?"

She replied: "Simple: I don't know enough about him to be interested in going out with him."

"Well he certainly know how to present himself" Rarity rebutted.

"I'm not that charmed by his good looks" Twilight said back to her.

"Well I heard he's pretty good on the guitar" Fluttershy added.

"Hey Yeah!" Pinkie Pie remarked. "Flash and his band played for a lot of school events and they know how to Rock The Crowd!" She then began shaking her hair wildly with load rock music playing in her head.

As Pinkie was now the one to get weird looks from her friends, something popped inside Rarity’s head. "I GOT IT!" she yelled to everyone as she snapped her fingers. Grabbing all of their attentions, she told everyone: "We'll Perform Our Own Concert!"

"What?" AJ responded as she looked as confused as everybody else.

Rainbow Dash explains: "We'll perform our own concert in front of everybody and convince them to vote for Twilight as we sing. If we work hard enough, we can get to be on our side. We show our school spirit, show everybody how amazing Twilight is and show Sunset who's she is dealing with."

Everyone took a second to think about it and realized that they quite like the idea. "That actually sounds like good idea" Twilight admitted as she thinks out loud.

Applejack asks: "But where are we going to do it? Remember, we only have one more day to do this."

"Ooh! I Know!" Pinkie yelled out loud as she raised her hand. "How about we do it at lunch? Everyone always go to the cafeteria during lunch time so why not do it there."

"That's an excellent idea Pinkie Pie" complemented Twilight who actually sounds a bit eager.

And then, Rainbow turn to Twilight and says to everyone: "And we already know somebody who can help write a song for us."

Obviously implying Flash Sentry, Twilight groaned in discomfort. But then, an oblivious Fluttershy asks out loud to everyone: "Do you mean me, right?" Grabbing her friend’s attention, a shy Fluttershy says to them: "I mean... I'm happy to write a song if you want me to?"

Eager to not get Flash Sentry involved, Twilight points to Fluttershy and says: "Yes!"

Author's Notes:

This was another funny chapter to write. Reviewers and other Brony Anylists complain that even though they might like the song: "Help Twilight Win The Crown", they still say that it was a lazy way for Twilight to get popular. I remember that Silver Quill once said that the Hu-Mane 5 should have used their clique connections and talk to students on one on one. In so, out of spite, I have them do exactly that... but still say that they need to do that dance sequence in cafeteria.

Also, about Flash Sentry. I wanted him to be funny and interesting so other people might like him more. To do that, I thought on giving him the worst of luck. Flash wants to do stuff that can help Twilight, but quickly found out that she had already sorted everything by herself. In a way, I sort of made Flash more pointless then the movie... I don't like that I did that.

Also, in the original chapter, I had Rainbow Dash giving all the good ideas. However, want at least one of those ideas to be from Rarity. She was the one who came up with the school spirit thing in the movie. I think she should still some credit. That... and so she can still be more useful than Flash.

Chapter 8- Plans & Revalations

"Snips! Snails! Where Are You Two Idiots!?" Sunset Shimmer cried out. It was the day of the Fall Formal dance and the day that Sunset had been long awaiting for. However, she was scarring the empty hallways in search for her two lackeys. "We Need To Discuss What We’re Going to Do Once We Get the Crown!" The more that she searches, the angrier she gets. But when she realizes her own hunger, she spotted a nearby clock and discovers that it was launch time. Figuring that they were having their launch, Sunset decides to head to the cafeteria so she can drag them away.

But then, Sunset began hearing a faint sound of music as she was walking. Initially, she paid it no mind and thought it was coming from the music classroom. But as she was getting closer to the cafeteria, the music that she was hearing was becoming louder and louder. As soon as Sunset realizes that it was coming from the direction that she was heading, she began hearing the sounds of singing and dancing as well. Consumed with curiosity, Sunset picked up her pace as she wants to know what was going on.

When she finally reached to door to the cafeteria, Sunset peaked through the window. But when she looked inside, she saw something that left her utterly surprised: everyone inside dancing. Regardless what clique they usually hang with or how different they are, all of the students were wearing fake horse ears and tails and are dancing together. The music was also so cheery and sweet that Sunset couldn't understand why people would like it. As she was left wondering who was causing this, she was become completely shocked when she saw Twilight and her friends were the ones sings.

"So get up get down, If you're gonna come around. We can work together, Helping Twilight win the crown"

Sunset was at a loss for words. After what she done to her yesterday, she expected that Twilight would never come back to Canterlot High. again. But not only did she not leave, she also somehow convincing everyone onto her side. And by the look of all the other students dancing and supporting her, Sunset became afraid that she might actually loose.

And as Sunset was still stuck in disbelief, she then spots Snips and Snails just on the other side of the door, wearing horse ears and slightly shaking to the music. Infuriated that her minions would be dancing to her enemy's performance, she yanks them out of the cafeteria without anybody noticing. Once she tosses Snips and Snails aside, Sunset yells at them: "What Were You Doing In There!?"

In a panic, Snips replied: "Oh Sunset! We didn't expect to see you around her? We were... uh..."

"Dancing to some catchy music, eh" Snails moronically answered. That answer that he gave set Sunset off even harder than before. As Snips & Snails was expecting her to punish them, she managed to get a hold of herself before she does anything drastic to them.

Sunset turn back to looking into the room and asked out loud: "How on earth did she manage to turn things around like this? Last time that I saw her, she was..." But then she remembers what she done to Twilight: remembering that she pushed her into tears. Guilt began to resurface and Sunset began to feel as terrible as she was before. However, instead of doubting what she was doing, she supress all of these feelings and don't want them getting in the way of her plans.

When Sunset began thinking up a plan for a counterattack, Snails timidly asked her: "Are we in trouble?"

But as she was about to respond, she was hit by inspiration. Quickly coming up with an alternate plan, Sunset began laughing deviously that made Snips & Snails even more terrified of her. She then told them: "Oh we're not in trouble, but Twilight soon will be."

Later, Twilight was taking a relaxing stroll down the hall with her new friends to accompany her. Along the way, they pass several students who began waving towards Twilight and some had their ears on. Yesterday seemed like a forgotten memory towards all of them as negativity was nowhere to be seen in the school.

Overjoyed with everything that they had done, Rainbow Dash punches the air before saying to her friends: "YES! Twilight is going to win this for sure."

Twilight could no more but smile gleefully as everything is back on track. However, Pinkie found this a bit odd so she asks her: "What's the matter Twilight? I thought you would be more excited than this."

Twilight nonchalantly explains: "Oh I don't really care about that princess stuff. I only really run just so I can stop Sunset Shimmer from bugging you." Touched, Pinkie went "Aww!" and pull and unexpected Twilight in for a hug.

However, despite being a sweet moment, something that she just said causes Applejack to start thinking. "You know, if I remembering things correctly; you wanted to try something else before becoming princess?"

And like that, Twilight's joyful experience had just stopped. She had mostly forgotten about it, but she can still strongly remember the mysterious business with the crown and how she wanted a closer look.

"Yeah! You wanted to join the party committee." Pinkie answered.

"Huh... Why's that?" Rainbow asked curiously.

Fluttershy replied: "I thing you said it had something to do with the crown?"

Trying to avoid the issue, Twilight told Flutter's: "No-no-no... It was something to do with Sunset Shimmer."

"Yes... but you began talking about the crown for some reason?" Fluttershy rebutted

Everyone stopped walking and began looking at Twilight with confusion and worry. Twilight was adamant to telling them the truth, especial since even she finds it really hard to believe. Feeling too embarrassed to reveal to them her real reasons behind her actions, Twilight tried to push away the topic and says to them: "It's... not really important. It’s just a silly little thing that I'm curious about."

They all could see that Twilight was hiding something important from them, but could also tell that was also very conflicted about it. Not wanting to pressure her any harder, AJ told her: "Ok Twilight, if you say so?"

Twilight was surprised by their unexpected acceptance and willing to let things slide for now. However, she is now feeling bad for keeping secrets from them and is worried that she lost some of their trust.

But then, as they were about to continue their walk, they spotted Sunset and her two minions walking the opposite direction from them. As they were crossing paths each other, Twilight and friends notice that Sunset doesn't look at all afraid that she might lose. In fact, she still had her smugness for some reason. Once they walked pass each other, Applejack thought out loud: "I wonder what she's up to?"

Sunset eventually arrived to her destination: the vice principal office. Once she took a deep breath and get into character, she pretend she was in a panic and began knock on the door. When Vice Principal Luna final open to door to see who was banging on it, Sunset anxiously yells to her: "Vice Principal Luna! You Have To Come Quickly! Something Bad Has Happened In The Gymnasium!"

Meanwhile, at another part of the school, Flash had just arrived at his locker to deposit some of his stuff. As he does it, the memories of Twilight's cafeteria performance was stuck in his head. There was no doubt in his mind that he really enjoyed it and was happy for Twilight. The only real regret that Flash has is that he didn't really help out with it. He tried to play his electric guitar into the music, hoping it will give it an awesome kick, but Vinyl stopped so she can do an air guitar that somehow produced sound. Every time that Flash wanted to help Twilight, fate seems to get in the way and push him aside. However, he was a patient guy and is happy to wait for the moment that he can shine.

But then, as soon as he finished with his locker, Flash suddenly heard loud footsteps come running down the hall. When he turn and look, he saw Principal Luna running alongside Sunset Shimmer and Snips & Snails. They didn't even notice Flash as they ran pass him and left him completely baffled to what's going on. He watches them run and saw them entering the gym. Curious, Flash follows them.

Flash went up and decided to hide behind the door. But when he looks inside, he saw the gym and all of the Fall Formal decorations were completely destroyed. Everything was so devastated; it left him and Luna speechless and horrified. Tables were flipped and food and drinks were spilled everywhere, no balloon was left un-popped, someone somehow brought down the disco ball and crack it like an egg. It also looked like someone had gotten a tub of paint and splashes it all over Pinkie's mural that she made the other day.

"Who would do such a thing?" Vice Principal Luna asked out loud.

Flash snapped out of his trance and remembered that Luna and Sunset was also there. He tried to stay well-hidden as he try to eavesdrop on their conversation.

Pretending to be as horrified as the rest of them, Sunset woefully told Luna: "I know you're not going to believe me, but I think Twilight did it."

And like that, Flash became so upset that he almost blew his cover. After calming down and getting a hold of himself, he listens even harder on the conversation.

"Why do you think Twilight did it?" Luna asks curiously.

Sunset explains to her: "When I realize what had happened to the gym, I found these nearby. I could not believe my eyes when I saw what was on them." She then passes to Luna several pictures. Flash didn't see what was on them, but he could tell what they were.

When the Vice Principal saw the pictures, she became even more shocked then when she saw the gym. Causing Luna genuine woe, she told Sunset: "Well I'm going to find Twilight and see what she can say for herself." With a heavy heart, she then proceeded to leave the gym.

Seeing the vice principal was heading his direction; Flash legged back to his locker. When he made it back, he pretends to do stuff while he waited for Luna to pass. When she walked by while barely noticing him, Flash breathed a sigh of relief. He could never believe that Twilight would do such a thing and had a striking suspicion that Sunset was up to something. He went back to the gym doors and continues to spy on her.

When he was back, Flash saw Sunset chuckling while Snips & Snails was standing nearby. However, Sunset isn't laughing like she had won. It sounded more like sign of a relief. When she finished chuckling, Sunset cheerfully said to her minions: "I can't believe it. She actually buy into those stupid pictures."

Chuffed, Snips told her: "Didn't I say you had nothing to worry about. Me and Snails are like the best collage artists at Canterlot. The only way she could tell they were fakes if she had the original photos that we cut from."

"Ha-ha... and what did you do with them?" Sunset asked, calming down and slowly becoming worried.

"We got rid of them as soon as we were done with them, eh" Snails replied.

Paranoid, Sunset ask them: "Don't say that you through them in the bin where anybody can find them right? Right!?" Snip's and Snail's eyes widen and look at each other with worry. Realizing that they did exactly that, Sunset's happy moment was ruined and she yell at the top of her voice: "IDIOTS!"

But then suddenly, Sunset had a tingle at the back of her neck. Feeling like she was being watched, she shot out and look towards the doorway but see no one was there. Flash was already legging it and running down the hallway. Considering they had to make the photos and print them out very quickly, he figured they had to be made in the library. Thinking this the moment where can finally help Twilight, Flash was running as fast as he can. Unfortunately, he didn't paid too much attention towards his surroundings and slipped on a girls fallen drink. Falling on his butt, he slid down the hallway. However, when he stopped, Flash realizes he was in front of the library's doors.

Getting off his bottom, Flash rushed into the library. Frightening Miss Cheerilee when he entered, she shushed him and he quickly apologized. Flash heard Snips & Snails put the cut outs in the bin so he frantically searched every bin. He confused everyone in the library, but he knew he was racing against the clock. Fortunately, after looking in the last bin that he looked, Flash finally found the photos.

Flash felt really proud with himself and eagerly brings them to Twilight. However, as soon as he turns towards the doors, he spotted Sunset came barging in. Realizing that she came for the photos as well, Flash hid around a corner and begins to panic. Figuring that he needed to hide them, he was about to put the photos in his back pockets until he came up with a better idea.

The first thing that Sunset did was head immediately towards the bin where Flash found the photos. But as soon as she looks, someone bumped into her. "Hey! Watch where you're going!" she said angrily.

However, she became surprised when she saw it was Flash Sentry. "Oh! Hi Sunset" he greeted cheerfully.

"Flash! What are you doing here?"

"I'm just borrowing a book about rock legends" he replied as his show his book to Sunset. However, what he didn't realize is that the book was about minerals (though the book was called "Rocks of legend")

But fortunately, Sunset brought it and she told him: "Yeah, whatever Flash." When Flash left her with the book and she was about to search the bin, she suddenly thought that he might be up to something. She watches him as he check out his book and leaving with it. When Flash realizes Sunset watching him, he tried to politely wave towards before walking into the library's door. Sunset then turn back, shrugs and says to himself: "Nah."

However, once he recovered and left the library, Flash opened his book in the hallway and revealed that he hid the pictures in the book. With evidence in hand, he then began to run and find Twilight. Eventually, he found out that Twilight was already taken to Vice Principal Luna's office and rushes over and try to save her. When reached the door, Flash took a deep breath and made sure the evidence is in his hands. Inside; the room was dark while Twilight was busy talking with Luna. But then, Flash barges into the room and bring in light from outside and says: "Wait! You Got The Wrong Person!"

"Flash!?" Twilight yelled as both she and Luna became surprised.

As he shown Luna his cut out photos, Flash told her: "I found these in a trash can in the library. Somebody wanted to frame Twilight and combined these photos to make it look like she was the one who trashed the gym."

As Luna was examining the cut outs and the photos, Flash felt like he accomplishes something. However, Twilight got his attention and says to him: "Um, Flash... I was already sorting it out."

Shocked, Flash yells out: "What! You Mean To Say Everything I Did Was For Nothing!?"

"Not for nothing Flash" Luna replied. "You did bring something serious to light and you should be commended for that." Even though Flash still felt really annoyed, what Luna said did calm him down a little bit. As Luna then got out of her seat, she regretfully added: "But with the extensive damage to the gym, we may have to move the Fall Formal to tomorrow night." When she finally opens the blinds, she told them: "You two are free to go." Flash and Twilight then left the vice principal's office together.

Once they were in the hallway, Twilight could tell that Flash was still upset for all of his hard effort has been for nothing. Feeling a little bit sorry for him, Twilight says to him: "Hey Flash, even if I didn't really need you in the end, I know you did everything that you could to help me out and I'm grateful for that."

"Um... Thanks" Flash replied who really appreciated the compliment. The two then stood awkwardly in the hallway as they weren't sure what they were going to do next. Twilight wanted to leave if he doesn't had anything else to say to her. However, feeling that this might be his last moment, Flash decided to gather up his courage and ask something important. "Hey Twilight... I was wondering... "

At that moment, Twilight heart stopped as she can quickly deduces what he was going to say.

"...If you don't have someone to go with tomorrow night, do you wanna..."

"STOP!" Twilight yell out, interrupting him before he could ask the question. Flash was stunned and was left to wonder if he did anything wrong. Twilight decides to tell him very bluntly: "Look Flash: I know you're a nice guy and I appreciate everything you done for me, but... I'm not that interested in dating at the moment."

Flash could tell that Twilight wasn't kidding around and saw how serious her face looked. His aspirations were falling down around him and his heart became flooded with melancholy. When she sees how much he hurt him, Twilight felt guilty and says to Flash: "I'm sorry Flash, but you understand right?"

"Yeah... I guess" Flash replied depressingly. However, as soon as Twilight pat his shoulder as a sign of comfort, and little twinkle of hope lit within him and he asks: "Well... can we at least be friends?"

For some reason, Flash's unexpected persistence rubbed Twilight the wrong way. Slowly becoming annoyed, she askS him: "Oh my gosh, what is it about me that interests you so much?"

Seeing her getting agitated, Flash calmly replied: "Well... You don't act like other girls."

Flash's answer somehow intrigued Twilight. She expected him to be too confused to give an answer or said something about her looks.

Flash explains: "Almost every girl at CHS only wants me because of my good looks or just because I'm popular. But you... you aren't interested in all of that and just want to find something else to like. You also not afraid to be honest with people... even if it might be painful. You’re also brave, cool and just an amazing person. It's hard to find something not to like about you. At least... I think so anyway."

When he finished speaking, Twilight froze for a moment before she turns away from Flash. Flash wondered if he said something wrong, but Twilight was trying to hide how conflicted she was. She doesn't want to admit it, but she was honestly touched by his words. Twilight still doesn't want to date him, but was moved enough for her to begrudgingly admit: "Ok FINE! If... If I can't find someone to dance with, then MAYBE I'll dance with you."

"REALLY!" Flash responded. Ecstatic for finally having a chance, he shouted: "YES!" However, thinking it might upset her, he calm himself down and told Twilight: "I mean... only if you want to though. I don't want to force you to do anything that you don't want to."

"Whatever Flash" Twilight replied. "Right now, I would like a word with Sunset."

After she finished talking with Flash, Twilight was storming down the halls in search for Sunset. She could barely tolerate her actions before, but she is outraged with her latest stunt. She was so upset, Twilight was practicing what she was going to say to Sunset as she walk

"You Went Too Far This Time Sunset Shimmer!" said Twilight as she loudly whispered to herself. "I mean: it's one thing for trying to bully and humiliate me. But that last stunt almost got me expelled!"

Students nearby was wondering why Twilight was talking to herself, but they was too intimidated to ask her thought. Just seeing Twilight coming towards them made them as terrified as if they were seeing Sunset. Twilight, on the on the other hand, could only what Sunset would be doing. She was getting angrier just by thinking of her.

"I swear: when I see you, I'll..."

However, as she was stomping by the gymnasium, she was hearing noises coming from there. She was highly doubtful that Sunset was still in the gym. Flash even told her that last time that he saw her was at the library. However, she was still curious enough to go and investigate. When she look inside, she initially taken back by how damaged the gym was. However, she was more surprised to see Sunset Shimmer there, trying to clean up the gym. Actually; she was forcing her minions to do heavier work while picking up bits and pieces that nearby her. But neither the less, she was making an effort to clean up a mess that she deliberately caused. Twilight was so confused that she didn't what to make of it.

"Ok, What is your deal Sunset Shimmer" Twilight yell out and grabbing Sunset's attention. "You went through the effort of getting me in trouble, but then turn around and try to clean your own mess?"

Standing her ground, Sunset replied: "I don't know why you're complaining? You know as well as I do how important tonight really is."

"What? You mean the dance?" Twilight replied, not knowing what she is on about.

"Not the stupid dance, The Portal!" Sunset explained.

"What Portal!?" Twilight asked, getting even more confused than before. "Stop talking gibberish and start making some sense for once!"

Sunset was slowly becoming as confused and annoyed as Twilight as she is towards her. "What's wrong with you?" she asked. "You are sounding like you not really from..." But then, Sunset stopped herself and something was beginning to click inside her head.

Hesitantly, Twilight ask her: "I'm not from... where exactly?"

Sunset did not answer as she was having a striking realization. She looks at Twilight and she could see that she didn't have a clue to anything that had said to her. Sunset couldn't understand why she was acting so oblivious, but she was slowly thinking it was really and an act.
Hesitantly, Sunset asked Twilight: "Wait... You're not from Equestria, are you?"

"What's Equestria?" Twilight responded as she shrugs.

And like that, Sunset sinking suspicions was proven true. Realizing that she had made a mistake, thoughts and emotions was raging inside her head and she could bare the weight of them. When she starting to laugh at herself, Twilight was getting nervous and slowly becoming worried. Sunset then abruptly stopped laughing when she thought out load: "Oh my gosh. I also made her cry". She then turn towards Twilight and says to her: "I am so-so, So-So Sorry!"

"What!?" Twilight responded.

Sunset told her: "Honestly, I thought you were someone else. Someone... who has the exact same name and appearance as you" She could tell how unbelievable that sounded and was embarrassed by it, but she was still seems remorseful. "Seriously though, I am really sorry for everything I done to you."

Twilight was perplexed by Sunset's sudden change of character. She find it hard to believe that she mistaken her for someone else, but Twilight could tell if she's faking or not. For some reason, she thinks that Sunset is really sorry.

When Twilight didn't respond, Sunset says to her: "What, you still not happy? Well uh... What about if I give you Snips & Snails? Yeah sure, they may be annoying and not very bright, but they will do anything you say to them."

"No, that's ok" Twilight replied.

"So... are we cool? Can we be cool?"

Twilight was so sure with herself and Sunset's behaviour is making her nervous, but she hesitantly replied: "Um... sure? We cool..."

"Well that's good" says Sunset as she breathes a sigh of relief.

But then, as the two girls stood around awkwardly, sounds from the P.A systems were heard and an announcement was made. "Will Sunset Shimmer Please Come To The Principal Office!" said the announce which sounded like Principal Celestia.

"Oh shoot" Sunset whispered. Both her and Twilight could tell that the principals are onto Sunset's schemes and it looks like it's finally time for her repercussions. While Twilight was chuffed by this, Sunset realizing that her plans are falling apart and need to do something quick.

In desperation, she grabbed Twilight's attention and asks her: "Listen, I need you to do a really big favour." Before Twilight could respond, Sunset explains to her: "I don't really care about the title or what others think of me. What I really want is the crown."

Twilight responded: "What!? Why do you want the crown?"

Pretending to be nonchalant, Sunset replied: "No reason. I just really want the crown."

However, Twilight could tell that she was lying and isn't going to have it. "No!" she stated. "I know something is up with that crown and I'm not handing it over until I know what it is."

Sunset became surprised. She didn't expect anybody else would figure out the crown wasn't the ordinary one. As she was unsure what to say to her, Celestia spoke again through P.A system. "I Repeat: Will Sunset Shimmer Please Come To The Principal Office!"

Starting to panic, Sunset told Twilight: "I can't say why I need it, but it's Really Important that you give it to me." When Twilight isn't budging, she says to her: "Please! I'll Do Whatever You Want!"

Twilight was reluctant to giving into her demands. However, Sunset's desperation soon cause her to invade Twilight's personal space. No longer standing it, Twilight eventually caves. "FINE!" she yells as she push Sunset away. "Put I also want you to apologize to the rest of the school afterwards."

"If it makes you happy, I'll do it" Sunset replies.

Twilight wasn't sure if she was making the right choice. She still doesn't know what the crown is nor why Sunset would want it so much. However, she could see that she is desperate and thought that this might get the answers that she wants. Hesitantly, Twilight extend her hand for a shake.

Sunset grab her arm instantly and made a firm shake. But then, when Twilight thought that she made the deal, Sunset then added: "Also: I need the Fall Formal on by tonight so can you also help fix this place up?"

"WHAT!" Twilight responded. As she was thinking on going back on the deal, the P.A system came on again but this time it was V. Principal Luna. "This Is The Last Call: Will Sunset Please Come To Our Office Or We Will Have To Find You Ourselves!"

Seeing that she had to got to go, Sunset clench Twilight's hands and begs to her: "PLEASE! It Has To Be Tonight!"

Begrudgingly, Twilight responded: "FINE! I'll fix the stupid dance."

"Thank you" Sunset gratefully reply. Once she calm herself down, she told her: "When you get the crown, let’s meet up at the statue."

"Yeah... whatever." As Sunset run off, Twilight was quick to regret her decision. However, she convinces herself that this might be her best chance to figure out all the mysteries between the crown and Sunset.

Author's Notes:

I was initially conflicted on how I would begin the chapter. Would I just skip the Cafeteria song entirely and just start where Sunset had just notice it? Or would I begin before the song and see if I can write down? Say how it would different from the movie, say how the students would feeling, etc. I decided to go somewhere in the middle: Have Sunset think she is going to win and then discover that Twilight has changed the student's minds.

I also wanted to give a whole scene to Flash. People complained that Flash was a boring love interest that can be taken out of the movie. I thought the best way to fix that was to give a scene all on his own. Showing him in his best effort to help the girl he loves and see him overcome his own bad luck. Also, I decided to boost Flash's bad luck (like any other fan-fic' writer) but with the intention to sympathise with him. But then again, by having Twilight say that she doesn't really need him really did made him pointless.

When I first came up with this story, one of the scene that I thought I would enjoy writing was when Sunset would realize that she made a mistake and she bullied the wrong Twilight. Making it really embarrassing and I would laugh while writing it. However, that did not happen to me. It probably because I was more focus on making sure my writing is readable and not enough trying to make the scene trouble. I'm now left hoping that you thought the scene was funny and you enjoyed reading this chapter.

Also, You will see Sunset getting punish by the principals in the next chapter. I wonder how well she is going to take it?

Chapter 9- Finding A New World

"Did you want to speak to me Principal..." Sunset greeted as she walked into the office. However, as soon as she stepped into the room, she saw both principal Luna and Celestia were inside.

Luna was sitting down on Celestia's desk while Celestia was standing by the window and both looked serious and disappointed. "Have a seat Sunset" Vice Principal Lune asked and she points to the free chair.

Sunset nervously sat down by the desk. There is no doubt in her mind that she is going to get punished, it just a matter of how well she can soften it.

"We have recently discovered that the photos that you handed to me earlier were fakes" Luna states as she show Sunset both the fakes and the cut outs.

Seeing if she can claim ignorance, Sunset pretends to be shocked and says to them: "REALL! I didn't know... When I found them, I just thought..."

"Enough!" Luna loudly cried and interrupts Sunset. "You knowing the photos were fake is irrelevant at the moment." Sunset was surprised because she thought the fake photos were everything that they're going to talk about.

In a regretful and woeful tone, Celestia says to Sunset: "Me and Lune have been hearing reports about you that deeply troubles us."

Luna explains: "We discover your attack ad online and saw how you tried to humiliate Twilight Sparkle." Sunset became genuine shocked and afraid this time. She never imagined them finding out about the video. Luna says to Sunset: "And with you trying to implicate her of a crime and you insulted the party committee's decorations..."

"Hang on; how did you know that I insulted the decorations?" Sunset asked as she interrupts Luna.

"We read it on Pinkie's blog" Celestia explains and she brought out her phone. When Sunset looked into the screen, she saw a saddened image of Pinkie Pie with a speech bobble that says how Sunset belittles her hard work (and how Twilight saved her). She nervously chuckle when she saw the message.

Finishing her statement, Luna says to her: "Bottom line Sunset, these are not the qualities that make a Fall Formal Princess."

Crossing her arms and stepping closer, Celestia ask Sunset: "Well... Do have anything to say?"

Sunset began searching her mind for the appropriate response. She could claim that it wasn't her video or say that Pinkie was exaggerating. However, she believes the principals wouldn't accept anything she could say to them. Eventually, she replied to them: "....... What can I say?"

"What!?" Luna and Celestia responded.

Acting unusually calmly, Sunset says to them: "I mean; you can obviously hear my voice in the video. How can I say that wasn't me? I'm ready to accept any punishment you decide to give me."

Both principals were at a loss for words. They didn't expect Sunset to be this submissive and willing. Still very confused, Luna says to Sunset: "Well... I say 2-3 weeks’ worth of detention and community service should be punishing enough?"

"Ok then" Sunset cheerfully reply. She then got off her chair and asks them: "Should the first part of my community service be cleaning up the gym."

"I guess you can, but why?" Celestia answered, confused by her unexpected eagerness.

Sunset told them: "So I can make sure the dance is still on for tonight. I mean, some people was really looking forward tonight"

Meanwhile in the gym, Snips & Snails was introducing themselves to Twilight. "Howdy!" Snips greeted. "My name is Snips and this and this is Snails"

"And I'm Snails" says Snails.

"We got a text from Sunset Shimmer that says you’re our boss now and we'll do whatever you say."

Twilight didn't know what to say to them. They tried to present themselves as professionals, but she knows that they can never come up to professional standards. However, seeing how eager they were, Twilight decided to play a little joke on them. "Actually boys..." she replied as she takes off her backpack. Twilight then show Spike to the both of them and told them: "I'm appointing Spike as your boss."

As she rest Spike on the ground, Snips & Snails stared down at the little puppy at their utter confusion before they burst out laughing. While catching their breath, Snips commented: "Seriously he-he... this dog?..."

But then, after getting a confirmation look from Twilight, Spike began barking fiercely at Snips & Snails. Despite their proclamations of not being afraid of him, they both jumped into each other arms and ran off. Twilight began laughing at their cowardness. When they were done, Spike look at Twilight with an expression that says: "Don't worry Twilight, I'll make sure these two are in line."

Twilight cheerfully smiles as she sees Spike chase after Snips & Snails. However, when they ran off, she was left alone with an enormous mess that she would have to clean herself. Some of the clutter on the floor looked a bit difficult for one person to move alone and there was still streamers hanging up and too high for Twilight to reach. She can still clean all of it, but she is disbelieving that she can clean it all by tonight. However, she still decides to give it her best effort just so she can have the answer that she wants.

A few moments later, Twilight was trying to drag out one of the spare tables from the storage closet and was finding very difficult to pull. But meanwhile, Rainbow Dash was jogging down the hallway in search for Twilight. As she was running past the gym, she stopped when she spotted her. Overjoyed, Rainbow cried out to Twilight: "There You Are Twilight! We Have Been Looking All Over For You!"

Startled, Twilight dropped the table. When Rainbow Dash entered the gym, Applejack and the others soon follow her in. While R.D, AJ and Fluttershy were defiantly startled when they see the current state of the gym, none was more surprised than Rarity and Pinkie Pie. "Pinkie Pie!... Look What They Did To Your Pretty Decorations!" Rarity shrieked before fainting on top of Fluttershy. While Flutter' just managed to catch Rarity, Pinkie yelled: "Oh My Gosh! They Completely Ruined Everything!" and then faint on Fluttershy as well.

Left surprised upon seeing her friends, Twilight yells to them: "Rainbow! Guys! What are you doing here?"

Applejack explains to her: "We here so we can give ya the good news."

"What is it?" Twilight asked curiously.

As AJ was about to tell her, Rainbow interrupts her and yells out loud: "You've Won! You're The Fall Formal Princess!"

"What!"

Rainbow Dash explains to her: "Yeah, Sunset is finally getting what she deserves and the principals disqualified her."

"Really!" Twilight responded.

"Yeah, isn't that great news or what?"

"Yeah... I guess it is."

As Rainbow gave Twilight a hug as well as a pat on the back, Fluttershy (after getting Pinkie and Rarity to stand for themselves) curiously ask Twilight: "What are you doing here?"

Too nervous to tell them the real reason, Twilight told them: "Oh you know... trying to fix Pinkie's decorations."

While everyone else was sceptical, Pinkie believed her and was touched. "Aww" she said.

But then, Applejack asks Twilight while pointing towards Snips & Snails: "Ok, but why are you doing it with those two varmints?"

Twilight became tongue-tied and was hesitant to tell them the truth. The longer she remained silent; the worry of her friends grew stronger. She knows that her friends wouldn't believe her, but she doesn't want to keep lying to them. However, at the point of her confliction, Applejack said something.

"You know, if something's bothering ya, you know you can tell us right?"

As Twilight was taken back by that advice, her friends stood around her with calming and even motivating expressions. It was like they were silently saying that no matter what the problem that is troubling her, they would still help her no matter. Soon, Twilight realized that she was being foolish for not letting her friends in on her troubles. Even though she was still doubtful, she decided to reveal the truth to them. "Ok" she replied. "I'm not expecting you to believe me, but you have to promise not to laugh."

Her friends silently nodded and were waiting patiently for her to tell them. After taking a deep breath, Twilight explains to them: "Well... When I first arrived at this school, I found this crown and Fluttershy told me that it was for the Fall Formal."

"Yeah, I think I remember. It was when you first met me, wasn't it?" says Fluttershy, temporally interrupting Twilight.

"Yes" Twilight agreed. "When I was taking it to Principal Celestia, I decided to put it on as a laugh. But when I did, weird visions began popping into my head."

Everyone's eyebrows were raised. They wasn't quite sure what she mean by that, but they could also tell that Twilight was as confused as they are. The only person who wasn't at all confused was Pinkie who was actually taking it in stride. Jumping up close to Twilight, she asks her: "Oh, did you happen to see yourself from a parallel universe? Or did you see a great evil coming for us in the future? OR-OR-OR!... did you see a vision of us from the past!?"

Once someone pulled Pinkie away from her, Twilight hesitantly replied: "I think... that might be true?" With a hand press against her temple, she told them: "I remember seeing myself and saw someone who looked like Sunset Shimmer. And if I think really hard... I think I also saw all of you!" But while she got her friends all captivated, Twilight then told them: "But you want to know the weird part? For some reason, everyone that I saw... were ponies?"

"What!?" Rainbow Dash responded as she became surprised as everybody else. True to Twilight's fears, her friends all looked disbelieving to what she told them. However, they know that Twilight wouldn't make something like this up for no reason and trying to see where she is coming from.

Rarity asks her: "Are sure you didn't just made it all up?"

Twilight replied: "I thought I did... that is until I run into Sunset." Making her friends even more confused and intrigued, she explains to them: "She acted like she knew me from somewhere and she was also interested in the crown. Not because of the Fall Formal or anything. It was almost like the crown have some great power or something and she is really eager to get her hands on it."

Rainbow asks her: "But wait; if the crown is really that important, why didn't she just steal it?"

However Pinkie then answered: "No can do Dashie. Ever since the crown was returned, the teachers made extra sure that I won't get stolen again. Even I can't see it without permission."

"And that isn't just it" Twilight added. "I don't know the reason why, by Sunset also doesn't want the dance to be tomorrow. Before Sunset went and see the principals, she got me to make a deal with her to not only to hand over the crown to her, but to also make sure the dance is tonight. That's why I'm here cleaning this mess."

Slowly but surely, the girls are slowly realizing the seriousness of the situation. As noise can be heard from the background by Spike and Sunset's minions, everything was deep in thought as they try to figure out what was going on.

But then, after a long session of thinking, Pinkie Pie thought out loud: "Hang on a minute: didn't the crown get stolen in the first place?"

"That's what Principal Celestia thought" Twilight replied as she shrugs.

"Well, how did you find it then?"

Slowly realizing that she might be onto something, Twilight replied: "Well I found it in the court yard... by the horse statue."

"Where are you going with this Pinkie?" Applejack asked.

Pinkie Pie explains to her: "Well if we searched where Twili' found the crown, we might find a clue on where it came from."

Everyone had quick glances at each other as they were slightly astonished by Pinkie suggestion. Rainbow shrugs to everyone and says: "I guess it wouldn't hurt."

But then, as everyone was about to leave the gym, Twilight yell out to everyone: "WAIT!" Once she got them to stop, she explains to them: "I still haven't clean up the gym yet. And even if we all work together, we might not have enough time."

However, before any of them could get very worried, Rarity says Twilight: "Oh you have nothing to worry about it darling." She then got out her phone and told her: "I'll get everything sorted here while you all do what you have to do."

Even though she didn't know what Rarity could do or what she was in store, but it was reassuring for Twilight to seeing her help. She then left with the rest of her friends without any worry.

Twilight and the rest of the girls quickly made their way to the front lawn and arrived in front of the horse statue. Twilight didn't know how well this is going to work out, but with her friends by her side, she hopes that they might find something that she missed.

"So Twilight, how exactly did you find the crown" Applejack ask.

Twilight answered: "Well... I didn't exactly found the crown. It was more like it hit the back of my head and I picked it up"

Surprised, Pinkie Pie yelled: "What! You Mean Someone Chucked Their Stuff At You!"

However, Twilight explains to all of them: "But that's the thing, we never saw who threw it."

When everyone else's eyes were widened, Fluttershy reaffirmed the truth. "It’s true. Even I couldn't see where it came from and I was stood facing Twilight."

Soon the girls had reached to another crux to this weird mystery. As everyone was thinking how it happened, AJ suggested: "Maybe if you retraced your steps, maybe well find where the crown came from?"

"That sound like and excellent Idea Applejack" Twilight compliment. After Applejack had a moment to blush and says "Oh shucks", the girls set about to re-enact the scene.

"Fluttershy; I think you were standing right here" Twilight stated as she moved Fluttershy into place. Once she got herself into position and facing Fluttershy, Twilight thought out loud: "Ok, I think I was standing here. So if I turn around, I should see..."

However, when she turn around, Twilight saw herself. To be more precise, she saw a reflection of herself from the stature's mirror. Twilight was surprised by this. She remembers that she was standing right up against the statue. But if that was the case, the crown shouldn't be able to hit her. The statue would have been in the way.

They took their time, but her friends soon realize the problem. "So... did someone through it from on top of the statue?" Rainbow Dash thought out load in confusion.

Fluttershy suggested: "Or maybe they through it from the other side?"

However, Twilight had to disappoint the both of them and says: "No! I defiantly remember it hitting the back of my head."

Everyone became stumped. They all want to say that Twilight was mistaken, even herself, but they all were reluctant to say it. But then, as everyone was running out of ideas, something suddenly popped inside Twilight's head. She recall that Sunset said something about "going through a mirror" when they first met each other. She wouldn't think anything of it. But as Twilight was staring at her own reflection, she was having a sinking feeling that there might be a space on the other side. She would think that this would be crazy, but her mind temporally goes blank as she instinctively reaches out her arm and towards the mirror.

After running out of ideas, Applejack says to everyone: "I don't know yall. Maybe we should head back and..."

However, with a trembling voice, Twilight interrupts AJ and says to them: "Um... Guys!" Grabbing her friend’s attention and worry, they all looked towards Twilight to see what's wrong. But when she faced them with a scared expression, she reveals to them that one of her arms had sunken into the mirror.

Everyone couldn't believe their eyes as they were seeing her arm was disappearing into the mirror. AJ and Rainbow Dash was speechless while Fluttershy looked like she was going to faint. The only person who didn't find this terrifying was Pinkie Pie as she was looking at Twilight in awe.

"Oh My Gosh Twilight! How Are You Doing That!?" Pinkie screamed in amazement.

"I Don't Know!" she yelled back as she begins to panic.

"Can Ya Pull Yourself Out!?" AJ asked.

Twilight hesitantly replies: "I... I try." Her friend’s eyes were glued on her and were preparing themselves to pull her. Twilight takes a deep breath and she braced herself for a struggle as well. However, when she slowly retracted her, it was coming out of the mirror with no problem. Again: everyone couldn't believe what they were seeing. When she got her arm out, Twilight curiously put it back in and began waving it about. With the mirror surface vibrating when she went in, it was like she was sticking her hand into water and moving about with ease. When she had enough, Twilight swiftly pulled her arm out and step back to the safe surroundings of her friends.

"This... This is impossible" Twilight muttered. "This totally shattered every form of science that I have ever known."

"Any yet..." Rainbow muttered back as she gets close to the statue. She then extends her finger and sees if the portal would work for her. When it did and she poke her finger through, Rainbow Dash proclaims: "It still awesome."

However, Applejack ruined Rainbow's fun and pulls her way from the statue. When she looks at it, she asked out loud: "Just what the heck is it?" Pinkie was about to do the same thing as Rainbow did, but AJ stopped her to.

Hesitantly. Twilight replied: "I think... it's the portal that Sunset mentioned."

Fluttershy asked: "What do you mean?"

Twilight explains: "Whenever I run into Sunset Shimmer, she kept saying stuff about portals and different worlds. I didn't get what she was saying, but now it all make sense." As everyone stare intensely towards the statue, Twilight muttered to them: "I think she said the place was Equestria?"

Everyone took a moment to let it all sink in as they looked at a gateway to another world. They didn't know what was on the other side nor how it got there. But as this discovery shattered their understanding of their realities, fascination soon envelop Twilight and begin wonder how this is even possible.

"We-We have to study this" she said out loud. "We need to know how this works and why it's doing here. We need lab equipment, tests and a lot of notes." While her friends found Twilight's unexpected enthusiasm as creepy, they couldn't help but admit that it suits her personality. As she heads back into the building, Twilight calls out: "Come along Spike. We need to make a really long check checklist on the things we need."

However, it took Twilight a couple of steps for her to notice the un-replied silence. When she turn back around, she notice that Spike was nowhere to be seen and everyone looked confused. She soon remembered that she left him in the gym.

In a hurry, Twilight was briskly walking down the halls as she heads back to the gym. She couldn't be believe that she left Spike in the hall while she was somewhere else. The only time that she feels safe with leaving him alone was if he's at home, not in a school where he could be easily taken. Despite how bright and brave Spike is, she knows that he is still a puppy and she would never forgive herself if something happen to him. Becoming increasingly worried, Twilight picked up her pace with her friends not too far behind.

When she finally arrived to the gym, Twilight slam open the doors and cried out: "SPIKE!" as loud as she could.

However, as soon as she looked around, she was breath taken when she saw what was in the gym. Not only was the room squeaky clean and shows no sign of the previous rampage, the decorations was also redone. Instead of having just one predominant colour, the room was divers with colours. If you looked all around the room, you see different spots of colour that made them their own thing. While there was still some pink confetti scattered about, there was also yellow, brown and blue streamer hanging all around the room. The tables clothes was pure white and the stage had more of Twilight's colours with her star symbol replacing Pinkie's heart. It was like looking at a rainbow if you spin around the room.

But it wasn't just that: the room was also chocked full with students who helping out. The fashion and drama group was putting up streamers. The eco-kids was setting out the food and drinks and the teckies and the rockers was getting the stage ready for the event. Despite hardly interacting much in the past, the different cliques of the student body had coming together just so they can do this one thing for Twilight. It was heart-warming to see.

"Amazing, isn't it?" asked a feminine voice that was so close to Twilight that it made her jumped. When she looks towards her sides, she saw Rarity who was checking things off on a clipboards. "I know it isn't much, but I do hope that you like it Twilight."

Still very star struck, Twilight asked Rarity: "H-How... How did you manage to get everybody to work together?"

Rarity explains: "Well, I originally called my friends from the drama and fashion clubs. But when a word got out that you tried to clean this place, more students decided to chip in and help." She then added: "I thought we could do some remodelling, since it became your corination Twilight. But with so little time, we had to use anything that the students could bring."

Twilight took one more moment to look around the room and take in the sight that she's seeing. However, she soon remembers what she came her for and became serious again. "Rarity, have you seen Spike?" she asked firmly towards.

"Spike!" Rarity responded. "Wasn't he not with you?"

"No. I accidently left him here."

"Oh dear." Both girls then scan the room in search for the little purple dog. Despite there was still students walking about and was still decorating, there was still enough space for them to spot a dog in the crowd and yet they couldn't see him. Growing even more worried, Rarity cried to a girl who was coming down from a ladder and ask her: "Hey Bon-Bon! You haven't seen a cute little puppy running around have you?"

Unfortunately, Bon-Bon replied to them: "Sorry, I haven't"

But then, just as both Rarity's and Twilight's was falling even deeper into a panic, Lyra appeared and asked them: "I don't suppose you've seen Snips & Snails? I can't find them anywhere."

Bon-Bon answered: "Actually, I think I have seen them carry a box somewhere." As she grabbed everyone's attentions, she then says: "I don't know what was in it though? They were having trouble holding it steady."

For anybody else, they might not find the relevancy of this fact. However, for Twilight and Rarity, this paints a very grim image in their heads. Twilight left Spike with Sunset's minions and now he is missing when Snips & Snails took a suspicious box away. They wish it was only a coincidence, but they know it's. When Rarity peaked towards Twilight, she was shaking at the scene. Sunset has Spike and she probably won't give him back until Twilight gives her the crown.

Author's Notes:

OH NO! How Is the Punch Going To be Spiked Now!.

HA! HA! HA! But in all seriousness, this is a really bad situation for Twilight. I've figured that no matter how curious she may be, she would never hand a potentially dangerous thing over to Sunset. And So: I imagine that Sunset would make sure that Twilight would have an incentive to do what she told. It's basically the same thing that happened in the movie, but adding a lot more tension by having Spike be kidnapped for over a longer period of time.

One thing that I debate myself over is rather or not that Twilight could have a sneak peek at the crown or just discover the portal. I originally intended to have Twilight constantly having visions of Equestria and slowly piecing things together. However, I couldn't think of any good places on where she could get them. But then I thought: "If Twilight wasn't allowed a peek, then the only way for anybody to see the crown was through the dance". And besides, I still want everybody to find the statue portal no matter what. You'll find out why in the next chapter.

One other thing that I wanted to mention is the Fall Formal's decorations. I imagine that if Rarity would be in charge of design, she would undoubtedly have a royal event style them. But then I remember that she often based her designs on other people's personalities and she is supposed to be the element of generosity. This was a last minute change while I was writing the scene.

Chapter 10- What To Wear And What To Do?

That day was a conflicted day for some. When Principals Celestia and Luna found the gym, they were left speechless when the saw that the Fall Formal was completely restored with newer and prettier decorations with a large group of students tired from the hard work. They all say it was because of Twilight and Rarity and how they motivate them to volunteer. The principals congratulate everyone for their hard work and thanked Twilight and her friends for their charity to the school. And just what Sunset Shimmer wanted, Celestia declared that the dance is back on for tonight.

Afterwards, everyone then had to leave so they can be ready for the Fall Formal. Back with Twilight and her friends, they all went to Rarity's store (that she partly owns): Carousel Boutique. Rarity then gave them all dresses to wear and they change in silent. But as they were changing, they all can spot a depressed Twilight, sitting in a corner and hanging her head in shame. They can tell that she was still being hard on herself for letting Spike be captured by Sunset's goons and is probably worried sick. I didn't matter to them if they can relate to her or not, but they can stand seeing Twilight this depressed. Fluttershy walked over to Twilight and tried to comfort her.

"Don't worry Twilight. You'll see Spike again" she says as she put an arm around Twilight.

Even though she wasn't completely cured from her depression, Twilight truly appreciate Fluttershy's support. In fact, she actually felt a lot better just by Fluttershy kind spirit emanating from her. "Thanks Fluttershy" Twilight replied gratefully.

As everyone else got closer towards Twilight, Rainbow Dash yells out load: "I can't believe that Sunset would do an underhanded tactic like that, and do mean underhanded. No Way you should hand that crown over to her."

However, Rarity points out: "Yes, but what are we gunna do? The only we get Spike back is by giving her the crown, and lord know what she might do to him if we don't?"

However, as everyone was about to think over the situation, Twilight thought out loud: "But that isn't just it." When they looked at her in confusion, she got up from her seat and explains: "I mean: we don't know what the crown does or why it is so special? For all we know, keeping the crown is actually a BAD thing and Sunset might know what to do with it."

Even though they didn't want to agree with her, everyone can understand where she's coming from. They are as clueless as Twilight about the crown and don't know what it's capable of. The first person who voices her opinion was Applejack who thought out loud: "Maybe she's right?"

However, Rainbow Dash still wasn't convinced and says back: "Are you serious? Sunset tore us apart, tried to set up Twilight and now she stole her dog. You really think it's a good idea to hand something over to her?"

But then, even though Rainbow Dash was radiating confidence and looking unpersuasive, Fluttershy whispered: "Maybe she was misunderstood?" However, even though she was trying to be quite when voicing her opinion, everyone shot their sights upon her which made her jumped. After getting over the initial startle, Fluttershy gathered up enough courage to softly explain: "What I mean is... even though what she did wasn't very nice, perhaps she had a good reason for all of this."

"A reason... to break us up?" Rainbow sarcastically replied.

Hearing her blunt remark, Fluttershy reiterate: "What I'm trying to say is that maybe there's a side to Sunset that isn't all that terrible."

When everyone was looking at Fluttershy with confused expressions, Twilight supported her and says: "Actually: When I last spoke to Sunset, she became really apologetic when she realized that she mistook me for someone else, supposedly. I know I could be wrong, but I don't think she was faking it."

Applejack asked her: "So... are you going to hand it over?"

However, Twilight felt a strain on her brain and says to her: "I don't know?"

It wasn't long for everybody to become conflicted. Not only were they worried about Spike safety, but they were also too terrified keep the crown. However, everyone was still very adamant about handing it over because they don't know what Sunset is going to do with it.

Frustrated with their moral dilemma, Applejack yells out: "AGH! If Only We Know What's Going, Then We Might Decide What To Do Things!"

And deep down in the confusion, Twilight knows that Applejack was right. If they had only a little bit more information, then they might be confident in whatever decision that they make. However, she knows one thing to gain more knowledge from... but also know her friends might not like it. Sucking up her courage, Twilight says to everyone: "I Have To Put On The Crown Again!"

Snapping out everyone from their thoughts, they all became shocked and yelled: "WHAT!"

As calmly as she can, Twilight explain to her friends: "The last time that I put on the crown, I got visions that led me to all of you. If I were to get them again, then maybe I'll find out where this weirdness is coming from."

Concerned, AJ replied: "I don't know Twilight. I don't like the sound of weird stuff messing around in ya mind."

Pinkie Pie then added: "And didn't you say that you saw houses last time? NEIGH!"

"Don't worry guys. I'm sure that the crown isn't that dangerous" Twilight responded. She then pulled them all in into a group huddle and whispers somewhat eagerly to them: "And if we work together, then we can stop any evil plans that Sunset might have."

Her friends were still not totally on-board with the plan. But as they begin to think about it and glance towards one another, their minds were slowly swayed. Fluttershy fears slowly dissipate when she see Pinkie Pie standing next who in turn felt comfortable for being surrounded by friends. Applejack and Rarity spotted Rainbow Dash getting slowly excited and shook their heads amusements and felt like everybody would need their help. And as all of them stare at Twilight's confident expression, they feel more then glad to be helping her out, even if they're scared on what's going on.

"So... Are you with me?" Twilight asked softly towards her friends.

And then, in un-synchronized unison, everyone yell out their agreements.

"I'M IN!" yelled Rainbow Dash.

"Yes Indeedily!" added Pinkie.

"I'm With You Twilight!" says Fluttershy.

"I'm With Ya!" Applejack responded.

"Can't Forget About Me!" Rarity replied.

And after a tight hug of friendship, everyone one of their arms to the air and they all screamed: "GO WONDERBOLTS!"

Author's Notes:

If you wondering why I made this chapter quite short, that was because I had trouble writing it at the time.

You see, not only did I have to make the scene the right amounts of stressful and hopeful at the same time, but I also had difficulty on making the words flow naturally with one another. I took me several days for me just to write the ending.

I also decided to end that chapter with just one scene. Not only because I had enough of writing this bit, but if I had continued to the point that I originally wanted, it would have been another 4000+ words chapter. I always wanted my chapters be around 1000-3000.

Chapter 11- The Big Night

As soon as the sun falls under the horizon, CHS students make their way back to school. Normally no one even stay around at the school after dark. But tonight was different. In tuxes and dresses, everyone was heading for the Fall Formal to have a night to remember.

But for some, this occasion won't be as happy as they wanted it to be. When Twilight Sparkle arrived at CHS's front yard, she stood there tensely in a nice purple dress and watch all the other students walking into the building. She never thought much about dances and never expected she would ever be going to one. Twilight arrived tonight not only to unravel the weird, extra-normal stuff that is going on, but also to get her beloved dog back. However, her just standing also letting her insecurities to grow and doubt soon crept into her mind. However, when her friends: Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Rarity and Applejack appeared by her side, all of her worries disappear and her confidents return to her.

"Alright, does everyone remember the plan?" Twilight asked to her friends around her.

Rainbow Dash quickly replies: "No worry Twilight. We got this covered." Everyone else soon follow behind with their cheerful conformations.

However, everyone suddenly heard a depressed sigh coming Rarity. When they look towards her, they see that she look slightly depressed. Worried, Pinkie Pie asked her: "What's wrong Rarity?"

Rarity says to them: "Oh... I made such lovely dresses for everyone and I don't want them to get ruined."

Everyone had a mixed response to Rarity's answer. Rainbow face palmed herself while Applejack simply groaned. Twilight, Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie looked at the dresses that everyone is and could tell that she put a lot of effort into them. However, like the others, they still don't think they're that important to be concerned about.

Not wanting to hurt Rarity's feelings, Twilight calmly says to her: "You can make new dresses when we get back."

Begrudgingly, Rarity reply: "... I guess I could?"

Trying to cheer her up even more, Twilight then added: "And besides; if everything turn out just like I planned, these dresses won't get dirty."

But then out of nowhere, a sudden voice cried out. "TWILIGHT!" The girls was caught off guard by loud cry and try to find where it came from. But then they spot Flash Sentry by the doorway, wearing a fancy and waving towards Twilight.

As Twilight was left utterly surprised, she began to notice her friends were snickering behind her. "You didn't say he part of the plan Twilight?" teased Rarity.

As her friend;s laughter begins to irritate her, Twilight yells: "Enough!" Once they calm down, they all follow Twilight into the school.

Later on that night, the Fall Formal went into full swing and everyone began dancing the night away. With Vinyl Scratch behind the DJ booth, she was making music that compels everyone to at least to bop their heads. With the students who weren't dancing; they were mixing with the other cliques and was breaking down the barrier that were separating the other students from interacting. The festive night was really becoming a night which no one should forget.

But as the Fall Formal was going on, Twilight Sparkle was becoming a wall flower as she was sipping her punch by the food table. Quietly watching by the side, she slowly understood how dances are so much fun. However, she was interlay content on just standing there until Fluttershy and Rarity appeared and wanted her to dance with them. Twilight wanted to refuse, but they pulled her towards the dance floor and she begrudgingly submits to them.

Once they arrived at the centre of the gym, Rarity and Flutter's begin dancing. At first, Twilight was worried about her in experience of dancing. However, she soon notices that no one was doing any complicated or elaborate dance moves. Mostly they were just shaking to the music. Seeing if she can imitate them, Twilight relaxed body and try to dance like how everybody else. But then, as she begins enjoying herself, Flash Sentry appeared who also wanted to dance with Twilight. She was very reluctant to dance with him, but she soon notice her friends were walking away and leaving her alone with him. Left with no other option, Twilight decide to keep her word and began dancing with Flash. At first, she was expecting for him trying to make a move on her. However he did not and was keeping a good enough distance away from her so she won't feel uncomfortable. When she realize that he won't try anything, Twilight appreciated Flash's self-control and began enjoy dancing with him.

A few moments later, Principal Celestia's walks onto the stage and begin speaking into a microphone: "Attention! My I Have Attention Please!" The music slowly stops and everyone's gazes were turn towards the stage. With their attentions grabbed, Celestia says to all of them: "First of, I must congratulate everyone again for your hard work on restoring the gym. Never in all my years have I seen the gym this wonderful before and you all have yourselves to thank." Celestia stopped for a moments so she can let everybody cheer. "Now let's get along to the main event of the evening. She may not have been with us for long and she may had a rough time before transferring here, but give a great big worm welcome to your new Fall Formal Princess: Twilight Sparkle!"

The crowd then began to applaud loudly to the announcement. Twilight was a little nervous, but hearing everybody cheering wormed her heart and encourages her to get onstage. When she got up there, she see a set of students who was happy for her and even spot her friends and Flash who were proud for her. When Celestia signalled someone off stage to get the crown, she hands the mic' over to Twilight with a silent message to say something to the crown.

Hesitantly, as she was finding the proper words to say, Twilight mumbles into the microphone and says: "Um... Thank you... for making me your princess..." Slowly becoming calmer, she then says to them: "I mean... it was certainly wasn't easy, being new to this school and all that. But... with a ton of support of my friends, I'd managed to see it through."

And then, to Twilight's relief, Vice-Principal Luna walked on stage with a box in hand. When she opens it, Twilight saw the crown that was sitting comfortably inside. The crown; the same one that had been on Twilight's mind, ever since she handed it in to Principal Celestia. And now, after the principals handed it to her, it was in her hands again. Emotions were swirling around inside her as everybody else was expecting her to put on the crown. Her friends in the crowd was nervous however as their worry for Twilight was causing them to bit down onto their nails. As Twilight looked into the large star shaped embedded in the crown, she could recall the feeling of visions rushing through her mind and wonder what they will tell her this time. However, she took a deep breath and puts on the crown.

But the second that she places that tiara on top of her head, Twilight had a stun expression on her face as visons and images were flooding. While everybody else was cheering and feeling happy for her, Twilight's friends were the only one who could tell what was really going on. And then, as the students were finish cheering and was calming down, they slowly notice that she wasn't moving and seeing her petrified face. As people begin to ask questions and growing concern, Fluttershy and Rarity decided move in and try to bring Twilight off stage them.

But then, as they were getting close, a concerned Celestia asked the frozen princess: "Are you ok Twilight?"

As soon as Celestia's hand touches Twilight's shoulder, Twilight was snapped out of the trance and was able to lift the crown off of her head without any assistance. Despite feeling very dizzy, she could tell that everybody was confused and try to ease their worries. "Oh I'm fine" she replied. "I just got... sunlight in my eyes or something."

While everybody was sceptical about her response, they could see that Twilight could get herself off stage by herself. Even thought she was still very confused and concerned, Celestia decide to take Twilight's word and says to everyone: "Well then... I suppose we should carry on with the formal then shall we? Vinyl!" With that cue, Vinyl turn music came back on and everybody went back to partying.

As Twilight was holding up her head with the crown in hand, she was approached by Rarity and Fluttershy. "Are you ok dearie?" asked Rarity.

Twilight reply: "Yeah. It just feels like I had a brain freeze."

"Well did the crown show you anything that could help us?" asked Fluttershy.

It took her a moment to respond, but she had a confident smile on her face and she firmly reply: "Yeah. I think I have more than enough to solve these mysteries."

As her friends worries gotten slightly better, Twilight manage to stood up tall and then says to them: "Now lets go meet Sunset"

Outside, Sunset Shimmer was waiting around by the school statue along with her minions Snips & Snails. Snips and Snails were holding box that keeping Spike trapped and they were trying their best not to let him escape. Sunset was also looking very anxious while she was waiting and constantly looking up towards the moon and acting like something is going to happen soon. However, Snips and Snails grunting as they were trying to keep their box steady was also chipping away on one of Sunset's few remaining nerves and she was about to have a go at them.

But before anything could happen, they suddenly heard somebody coming. When their gaze shot towards the school's door, they spotted Twilight coming out of the building and also saw Fluttershy and Rarity following behind her. However, the only thing that Sunset was most excited for was the crown that Twilight had with her and began rubbing her hands in excitement. As they were coming out, Twilight and her friends saw Sunset and her minions and could also spot the box that was holding Spike.

When the two groups became metres apart from one another, Twilight angrily points towards Sunset and demanded: "Hand Over Spike NOW!"

However, instead on making the moment even tenser, Sunset wave up her hands and says to Twilight: "Hey! Hey! Hey! Don't look at me. I wasn't the one who stole your dog." She then explains to them: "These two Idiots were too afraid of a silly little dog and they hid him away by themselves, without any orders from me."

"What Were We Suppose To Do!? He Was Barking At Us!" Snips remarked as he was looking frighten while saying it.

Twilight and her friends weren’t so sure if she was telling the truth and kept on looking unconvinced. But then, Sunset snatches the box away from Snips and Snails arms and open it. Spike, now free from his captivity, eagerly jumped out from the box and began running towards his master.

"TWILIGHT!" Spike barked as he became excited to see her.

"SPIKE!" cried Twilight as she became overjoyed to seeing him again. When he Spike jumped into Twilight's arms, she hugs him tightly and Fluttershy and Rarity follow suit. When he notices Rarity was there, Spike began enjoying the hug even more.

As soon as they were finishing with the hug, they let him get down and began looking at Sunset with confusion. Seeing their surprised faces, Sunset delightfully says to them: "See! I'm not really a bad person." However, even though she is trying to act friendly, Twilight could feel a hidden motive behind her words and did not relax.

"So would be ever so kindly and give me the crown now? Pretty please" asked Sunset as she extend out her hand.

For a moment, Twilight didn't do anything as she think deeply about the situation. When she was staring into the jewel of the crown, everybody around didn't know what she was going to do. But as Sunset was getting impatient, Twilight thought out load: "I might give it to you... If you tell me what this is all about!"

"What!" yelled Sunset, becoming surprised.

Twilight firmly states to Sunset: "I know this isn't some ordinary crown and I know you are hiding something. I'm not handing it over until I get some answers!"

While she was initially upset about Twilight's words, Sunset retained her composer and calms herself. She knows that she won't get what she wanted unless she gives an answer to Twilight. Keeping her cool, Sunset remarks: "Ok... if that it is, I guess I got no other choice." After taking a deep breath, she told them: "Believe it or not, but that thing you're holding actually came from another world."

Everyone around was sceptical about that answer, except for Twilight who was trying to remain unfazed. Walking side to side, Sunset explains to them: "You see, there is a parallel world called Equestria. That crown belongs to a set called that "Elements of Harmony", which are magical artifacts that are used to protect that world."

"Equestria?" Rarity muttered.

"Elements of Harmony?" Fluttershy muttered, who was as confused as Rarity.

Twilight yells: "Are you expecting us to believe that!?"

Sunset states: "I can show you." She then slapped her hand against the statue and reveals to them the portal that was on it. Everybody was shocked when they see her hand fazing into the statue. Some of them rubbed their eyes, but they could tell that this isn't a trick. Sunset explains to them: "This statue is one of the few gateways that leads to Equestria and it is only opened for a couple of days. After that, it will close and it won't reopen again for at least a year."

Twilight remarks: "So that's why you want everything to be tonight. It's the last day that portal will be open!"

"Exactly" Sunset reply.

Everyone was still finding it hard to believe. However, as Sunset continues to show of the portal by waving her hand inside it, they had no other choice but to believe. Twilight on the other hand still wasn't satisfied. "Ok, I believe you. But still doesn't explain this thing is doing here or why you know all of this."

When Sunset was hit by that question, she begins to think deeply and contemplate about her answer. The longer that they waited, more concerned that Twilight became. After a long pause, Sunset sighed and admits to them: "You see... I actually came from Equestria."

As everybody became stunned and confused, Sunset says to them: "I use to be an apprentice there and was taught by one of the world’s greatest saviours. But one day, she assigns me to guard this world and stop anybody who would try to bring magic to or from there. But a couple of days ago, when the portal reopened, I got word that somebody had stolen one of the elements and somehow brought it here. I was tasked on retrieving it at no matter the cost."

As everyone was still speechified, Sunset then looked sympatric towards Twilight and says to her: "I'm sorry that I hurt you so much. But when I heard a rumour that you handed in the crown, I thought you might have something to do with it. I am really, really sorry for everything that I done, but I had to make sure that both of our world isn't in danger. I hope you understand."

When she finished speaking, Twilight's friends was stuck in disbelief. They know that Sunset's story is farfetched and really hard to believe, but they know that she isn't lying about some of this stuff and might know what needs to be done. Ultimately, they all had let Twilight decide since she has the crown.

But then, as Twilight was contemplating, Sunset silently walk towards her and slowly and softly take the crown away from her. But as she was about to touch the crown, Twilight quickly pull her arms away and make a stance against Sunset. When everyone became by her sudden action, Twilight yells at Sunset: "NO WAY! I'm Not Letting You Have This Crown!"

"WHAT!" Sunset yells back. To surprise to think straight, she screams: "Give Me That Crown!" before she lunges towards it. She managed to get a hold of the crown, but having trouble prying it out of Twilight's hands.

As the two girls began to struggle, Twilight cry out: "GUYS! NOW!"

And then suddenly, Rainbow Dash's voice appears out of nowhere and says: "That's The Signal!" Rainbow, Applejack and Pinkie Pie then appears from behind the statue and rushes to Twilight's aid. Before she knew what was going on, Sunset was grabbed and restrained by AJ and Rainbow who forced her to let go of the crown and was pulled away from Twilight. Twilight, with no longer playing tug-of-war, lost control of her balance and was about to fall on her back. However, Pinkie, Fluttershy and Rarity catches her and save her from falling.

"SUNSET!" cried Snips & Snails who was about to rush towards their boss's aid. But before they could any closer, Spikes intercepted them and began to growl at them. The two lackeys became so scared that they jumped into each other's arms.

When Twilight got back up onto her feet, she saw Sunset was struggling to get out of Rainbow's and AJ's grip. "Let Me GO!" she shouted. "You Have No Idea What You're Doing!"

Twilight states: "I know exactly what we're doing! We Are Keeping The Crown Away From You!"

As Sunset was becoming angry and confused, she became shocked when Twilight told her: "I know you were telling the truth about Equestria and how this is an Element of Harmony, but there was one thing that you lied about. You was the one who stole the crown in the first place and brought it over to this world."

"What!" yelled a surprised Sunset. "B-But... How Do You Know That!?"

Twilight loudly proclaims: "Because I Saw It!" and Sunset's eyes widened. Grabbing everybody's attention, she explains to them: "The crown shows me everything that happened to it. I couldn't understand it at first, but I finally discover who this really belongs to: Twilight Sparkle!"

Twilight's friends became surprised and confused. "What?" Applejack asked out load.

"You see; there is like a different version of me in that world who was a purple unicorn. There, she met the pony versions of all of you and became friends, just like us. Together, they were able to find the Elements of Harmony and protected the land from evil. And after more hard challenges, pony me had ascended to an alicorn and was crowned a princess."

As well as Sunset who couldn't believe that she knows all of that, Twilight's friends were all gobsmacked. They couldn't understand all of it, but they know enough to get a clear picture and were amazed with the information.

"Wait. Are you saying we are like heroes it that world or something?" asked Rainbow Dash who was getting excited.

Rarity asks: "And you say you were a princess there?" and slowly mistakes Twilight for being a princess.

"And there were pony versions of us who were also your friends?" asked Fluttershy, who was likes the idea of them being animals.

Twilight replies: "Yes, all of it." But then she proudly added: "But just like how you are helping me right now, she couldn't have gotten anywhere without the aid of her friends."

Everybody's hearts were touched when they heard Twilight's compliment, except for Sunset who felt like gagging. As she saw all of her friends complimenting and fawning Twilight, Sunset's jealousy began fuelling her anger and it slowly grows into hatred.

But as everyone else was enjoying the moment, Pinkie Pie got a closer look at the crown and made a comment. "Wow! I guess this thing belongs to you."

Twilight replied to her: "Actually, it belongs to me from a parallel universe and..."

But before she could finish, Pinkie place the crown onto of Twilight's head as a kind gesture. However, this cause Twilight to download more visions from the crown and was left in a surprised and petrified state.

Shocked and upset with her action, the rest of the friends angrily yell: "PINKIE!" at her.

Pinkie, quickly realizing her mistake, stood back in regret and thought out load: "Whoopsies."

However, Sunset soon realize that this was her chance to get back the crown. While everybody else was distracted, she managed to shake free Rainbow's and Applejacks hold on her and then rushes towards Twilight. Before anybody could respond, Sunset tackles Twilight and knocks the crown off of her head.

"TWILIGHT!" screamed everyone in horror.

When everyone rushes over and see if she is ok, they made the horrible discovery that Twilight was knocked unconscious. Some were beginning to panic as they were fearing that the tackle and the crown might have cause some damage her brain. But as they were all being worried, they suddenly began hearing a menacing laughter. When they look up, they discover that Sunset now has the crown.

"Finally... It's Finally Mine!" muttered Sunset who became deliriously happy. "More power then I could ever imagine and it's all mine."

Twilight's friends tried to stop, but they weren't quick enough and Sunset puts on the crown. But when she did, dark energy began to shoot out and push everybody away. Sunset looked around her and couldn't believe the dark magic that were swirling around her.

"What! No! This isn't how I imagined it!" Sunset yells out.

And then, blackness began envelop her body and malevolent thoughts began to taking over her mind. As even more dark energy began surging out from Sunset and the crown, everybody else could only watch in horror.

Author's Notes:

Well this took me a long time to write. And within that time, Friendship Games had been release and Equestria Girls 4 had been announce. Anyway, lets get onto the notes.

Originally, instead of appearing from behind the statue, I thought I would have Rainbow, Pinkie and AJ jump out of the portal to surprise and restrain Sunset. I thought that would be a cleaver idea. However, after writing the last chapter and how the character were afraid of the magical unknown, I felt that they wouldn't hide in a place that they never been to before. And besides, I don't want too many people know what was on the other side just yet.

One other thing that was from the original script is to let Sunset hold the crown before Twilight spring her ambush. I was meant to give the heroes a bit of cockiness, but I decide to change it. Since that Twilight had learned everything that she needed to know, I figured she wouldn't want Sunset to have the crown for even a second.

One part that I didn't expect I would enjoy writing was the character expositioning on Equestria. From Sunset tell everyone about the existence of Equestria to Twilight revealing the truth of about the situation. And how she told everyone about their alternate selves was also quite interesting. It was like they were giving important information like how they would present it.

Oh yeah! About the portal only opens once a year. It was meant to be a "Take That!" against the idea that 30 Moons = 2 and a half years.

Also, this was the only chapter that I didn't give any sort of bad luck to Flash Sentry. I have to admit, I feel a little bit weird about that. I wanted a scene where Twilight would dance and enjoy the Fall Formal, but I wanted it to be before the big climatic fight. After one important scene that is going to come up, I will skip the night and move to a following day.

And speaking about climatic fights, the heroines is going to have one doozy of a challenge in the next chapter. Will the destructive power of Demon-Shimmer get the better of them? Or will they work together to solve a difficult problem?

Chapter 12- The Elements of Harmony

She didn't know how she got there, but Twilight Sparkle soon discover herself floating through an endless void. She wasn't feeling scared or anything, but is willing to admit that the vast empty blackness was chipping away at her nerves.

"Where am I?" she thought out loud.

The last thing she could recall was keeping the crown away from Sunset and explaining stuff about Equestria to her friends. But as Twilight flout there with confusion, she suddenly began hearing her friends call out to her.

"Don't Worry Twilight, Were Here!" yells out a voice that sounded like Pinkie Pie

"We'll Be There!" yells a voice that sounds like Applejack.

As soon as Twilight heard their voices, her hope skyrocketed. But when she try to find the voices, the blackness slowly dissipate and colour began to come in. Soon, Twilight found herself in an old, worn-down castle. Before she question why she is in a castle, she hear loud clopping coming from a nearby stair case. But then, as she was expecting to see her friends coming for her, rainbow colour ponies appeared that looked like her friends. As Twilight became startled and confused, she saw her Equestrian counterpart facing against a tall, black winged unicorn with a vaporous mane with a blue mane. It took her a bit, but Twilight soon realizes that this is another vision from the crown and it wants to show her something.

As she watches on with intrigues, Twilight saw her pony counterpart standing up to the dark alicorn. Without any fear, the purple unicorn loftily proclaims: "You think you can destroy The Elements of Harmony just like that? Well, you're wrong, because the spirits of The Elements of Harmony are right here!"

As human Twilight wonders what she meant, little broken shards began floating up from the ground and then start swirling around her ponified friends.

"Applejack, who reassured me when I was in doubt, represents the spirit of honesty! Fluttershy, who tamed the manticore with her compassion, represents the spirit of kindness!"

Twilight was sort of left in amazement as she watch her pony self list of the rest of her friends as the elements of harmony. She knew about the other elements and now believes how important friendship, but she never realizes they could go hand in hand.

Once pony Twilight reveals that Pinkie Pie represents laughter, Rarity represents Generosity and Rainbow Dash is loyalty, the evil alicorn yells to her: "You still don't have the sixth Element! The spark didn't work!"

"But it did! A different kind of spark" pony Twilight retorted as she turn towards her friends. "I felt it the very moment I realized how happy I was to hear you, to see you, how much I cared about you. The spark ignited inside me when I realized that you all... are my friends!"

At that moment, human Twilight suddenly felt a connection as they were the exact same words that she would use to describe her feelings towards her own friends. She was so moved; she accidently let a tear escape from her eye.

"You see Nightmare Moon, when those Elements are ignited by the... the spark, that resides in the heart of us all, it creates the sixth element: the element of... Magic!"

And just then, Twilight spotted a bright glowing light coming down from the ceiling. The shards that were orbiting around her friends suddenly became magical necklaces and the light slowly transforms into the crown that she recognizes. Twilight was witnessing how the Elements of Harmony came into being.

And then, once she see her pony self and friends butting on the elements, a rainbow beam shot out upwards from them and then curve down towards the villain. As soon as Nightmare Moon shouts: "NOOOOO!", the magic hits her and it made a massive explosion. The explosion was so bright; it was the last thing the Twilight could see before the vision ended.

Twilight wanted to stay longer and see what would happen next. However, she begin to feel the dream was ending and sense that somebody was trying to wake her up. As she was on the verge on being awake, Twilight could faintly hear cries that she could make out that was her name. However, the thing that really woke Twilight up was the sound of a dog moaning at her and paws climbing on top of her. When she finally opens her eyes, the first thing that she saw was Spike who was looking worried for her.

"Spike?" Twilight mumble curiously, still trying to wake up.

"Twilight!" cheerfully bark the little dog who became excited to see her awake. He then began to lick his master's face, causing her to chuckle and wash her drowsiness away.

And then suddenly, once Twilight got him to stop, she suddenly heard everybody cry out: "TWILIGHT!" When Twilight looked up, she saw AJ, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Pinkie and Fluttershy standing above her and was also looking relieved to see awake. One other thing that Twilight take notice of was that they were on the other side of the statue, the side that was facing the road and blocking the view to the main building.

"Oh it's so good to see that you're ok Twilight" complimented Fluttershy.

"Thanks Fluttershy" Twilight replied. But then, as she was getting her bearings, Twilight suddenly heard a loud "BOOM!" coming from the school. "What Was That!?" she ask out loud.

When she looks towards her friends, they all look too nervous or too terrified to tell her. She got up and tries to take a peak on what was going on. However, when she looks around the corner, she saw a flying red she-demon up in the air and attacking the school. The demon has a flame pattern hair and a fire motif dress and was shooting dark energy beams at the building. Meanwhile, in inside the building, students were left in horror as they see a monster attacking their school.

Twilight turns to her friends and asks them: "What Is That!?"

However, Applejack says to her: "That's Sunset!"

"WHAT!" yells Twilight in disbelief.

"It's true" AJ explains. "When Sunset manage to put on the crown, dark energy stuff began surging out of her and she became into That!" One Twilight look at the demon again, she could spot the crown sitting atop of her head. So regrettably, that thing is really Sunset.

As she was left to witness the chaos and destruction that was left before her, Twilight felt the urge to stop her. But when she looks towards her friends, she could see that they are all scared and confused. She is very tempted to get them all to run away so she can let hand this mess by herself. However, with her resent vision still fresh in her mind, Twilight knows what she had to do.

While everybody was still hiding behind the statue, Twilight got her friends attention and then told them: "Listen, I got a plan!"

Without letting her finish, Pinkie became excited and exclaims: "You Do!"

"Yes, but I don't like it because it would mean putting you all in danger" Twilight finish explaining.

"Oh" Pinkie responded, slowly losing her eagerness.

Twilight says to all of them: "I might need you, but I also don't want to see any of you getting hurt. If you want to leave then I'll totally understand."

Everyone looked at each other for a moment, but that moment wasn't long as all of them turn back to Twilight and Rainbow Dash told her: "Don't worry Twilight. We totally got your back."

Left somewhat surprised, Twilight asks them: "Are you sure? This could be really dangerous."

Rarity says back to her: "And you would think we would let you handle this alone. No Way!"

"Here, here!" Applejack added.

"Really... Even you Fluttershy?"

"Well... I am scared with all of this, but I'm even more terrified if something bad happen to you."

As she could see that all of her friends are in agreement, Twilight could help herself but to smile. Once everyone was psyched up, Applejack enquires: "So what's your plan Twi'?"

After take a deep breath, Twilight told them: "Follow my lead."

But as Twilight began briefing her friends about her plan, Demon-Shimmer managed to blew a massive hole onto the building. The students were now defences to Sunset's assault and most were petrified in fear. Some, including Flash Sentry, were bright enough to try and flea, but Sunset then shot out a strange beam that beginning hitting all of the students. Once they were hit by this beam, they suddenly became under Sunset's control and began acting like zombies. However, some of the students miraculously avoided being hit by the beam because Flash accidently tripped and caused some of them to fall. But even though they were spared from being mind controlled, they were still surrounded by possessed who all fall under Demon-Shimmer orders.

But as Sunset happily looked over her new minion army, a voice shouted out and ruin her mood. "Stop Right There Sunset!" the voice cried out. When she turn around, she saw Twilight and her friends standing before her and trying to look brave.

"Oh look! It's Twilight and her annoying little friends. Come To Ruin My Moment Yet Again!" Sunset remarks as she don't see any of them as a threat.

In a moment of doubt, Applejack whispered to Twilight: "Are you sure about this Twilight?"

However, Twilight replied: "It's the best I got." Once the focus went back to Demon-Sunset, Twilight yells to her: "You Need To Stop This! Don't You See What You're Doing!?"

"I know exactly what I'm doing" she menacingly replied. "Once I have enough brainless student's under my control, I will use them to invade Equestria and finally get the respect and acknowledgement that I so rightfully deserve. And with the Element of Harmony by my side, Nobody Can Stop Me!"

But then, as Sunset began to laugh evilly because of her slow decent into madness, Twilight yells to her: "No! You're Wrong!" She says to her: "You may think the crown is giving everything you want, but it's not showing you It's Real Magic!"

"What!?" Demon-Shimmer yelled

Twilight explains to her: "The magic that made the crown was born out of friendship and trust, something that you haven't yet understand!"

"Friendship?" laughed Demon-Sunset. "I have the whole school under my control while you only have 5! If victory based on friendship, then I already won."

"That Isn't Real Friendship!" Twilight retorted as she became slightly aggravated. "Friendship isn't about using other people to get what you want! It's so much more then that! It's about the enjoyment you get from being with other people and letting them be a part of you life!"

And then, as Twilight's passion began to grow, so did a light that appear within the star-shaped jewel that was on the Element of Harmony. At first, nobody seem to notice the glowing gem. But as Twilight continued on with her speech, the light was slowly becoming more noticeable.

"Friendship is about Kindness and Loyalty! Laughter and joy! Honestly and Generosity! All of those help lit up a spark, and that spark help fuel the Elements of Harmony!"

And then, as soon as Demon-Shimmer notice that the crown was reacting to Twilight, a rainbow beam of light shot out from the element and headed towards Twilight and her friends. Before anybody knew what was happening, the rainbow light exploded onto the girls and a strange and magical transformation was happening.

All of the girl's hairs grew slightly longer and form pony-tails at the ends. Everyone's ears also grew and became into a shape that resemble pony ears. Both Rainbow and Fluttershy then flout higher above the others and sprouted wings upon their backs. Rarity and Twilight had a mystical glow surrounding their bodies. Twilight's were purple and Rarity's were blue. For Pinkie Pie and Applejack, they felt a surging power going through their bodies and feeling more energized then they ever had before. Once the transformation had finished, the glowing light exploded and then vanish and leaving 6 magically transformed girls hovering in mid-air.

Everyone watches on in bewilderment to what had just happened. Spike from below barely knew what has just happened, but he was somehow excited for them and was thinking that they are gunna win. In side the school building, Flash managed to push back a zombied-students and catch a glimpse outside. When he saw Twilight "Ponied-UP", he became star struck for a moment and Flash's feeling for her started all over again. However, this caused Flash to became distracted and swiftly get's tackled by a brainwashed student. Demon-Shimmer on the other hand was left in utter confusion. She couldn't understand why the crown bestow them it's power and not her or how Twilight was able to access it at all. But while Demon-Shimmer was speechless, Twilight begin to speak again.

"You see Sunset Shimmer, that crown my site on top of your head, but you do not know how to truly wield it. That is because you don't possess the true magic that I have with me: The Magic Of Friendship!"

In a fit of rage, Sunset began yelling: "No! NO!"

Twilight turn to her friends and ask loudly to them: "Are You Ready Guys!?"

"Yes!" screamed Pinkie Pie who was very excited.

"Right Behind You!" yelled Rainbow Dash.

"Uh-Huh!" replied Applejack very enthusiastically.

"I'm With You!" said Fluttershy who was summoning her courage.

"Me Too!" voiced Rarity.

Even though they don't know what was going on themselves, they all know they can do this. They believe they can do this! And with their hearts and minds in unison, Rainbow, AJ, Pinkie, Rarity, Fluttershy and Twilight formed a heart shaped formation in the air and all wished for a single thing... to shoot out a rainbow beam of magic and blast it at Sunset Shimmer.

As the rainbow beam was heading her way, Demon-Sunset gathered up all the magic that she has use it to push the friendship beam back. Both sides were giving it everything they had to win this beam struggle. Unfortunately, the struggle was shot lived as Sunset's power was quickly diminished. As soon as the beam hit Sunset Shimmer, the area was covered in blinding light and magical energy.

For moment, everyone wasn't sure if they one or not. But as the light slowly dies down, Twilight and her friends was able to see again and saw a large crater where Demon-Sunset was flying over. Once they realized that they had caused it, the girls slowly began to drift back down to the ground. Some managed to land on the feet while others feel onto their butt's. The only one who wasn't on the ground was Rainbow Dash who was using her wings to remain in the air.

When Flash and the other resisting students open their eyes, they saw everybody else was lying on the floor. They figured that since Sunset was defeated and no longer under her control, they must have lost consciousness and fall over. When they saw some people waking up, Flash and the others went over and assist them.

Back with the girls, everything was finally sinking in and they couldn't believe it. They look at each other and saw that they had transformed. They have magic powers and had just fired a magical beam of friendship. They didn't know what to think until they heard Rainbow Dash saying to herself:

"That was... THE MOST AMESOME THING THAT I HAVE EVER SEEN!"

Rainbow then decided to test out her new wings by flying around the area. Slowly, everyone else began linking their new magical bodies. Once Pinkie was on her feet, she began doing cartwheel and yell to everyone: "WOO-HOO! I Feel Like I Can Make A Million Cupcakes!"

Applejack look at Twilight, she saw that she was mumbled to herself: "This is impossible. Impossible!" It was looking like the scientist part of her was falling apart

"Twilight?" AJ asked worryingly.

But then, as Applejack was about to become concerned, Twilight wave up her arms and yell at the top of her longs: "BUT THAT WAS AMAZING!" AJ was surprised, but can see that Twilight was ok. Twilight mumbled to herself: "We got to do tests! Make Notes! Is this permanent or only temporally!? Can we do other things with these magic powers? Can We..."

"Woah Nelly! Slow down girl!" interrupted Applejack. "We can sort all of those thing out later." When she pat Twilight on the back, Twilight smiled back.

Meanwhile, Rarity was looking over her new features with a small compact mirror. Looking over her pony ears and extended hair, she was deciding if she like it or not. "Hm... Not too pointy and don't clash with my colours... Give me ten minutes and I can come up with something to make it work!" However, Rarity is completely unaware that she isn't holding her mirror. The mirror is being suspended in mid-air with a magical blue aura while Rarity is posing in front of it. And as soon as she became distracted by Pinkie's cartwheeling, she lost focus on the mirror and it fall down to the ground.

And off by the side, Fluttershy and Spike were quietly watching their friends getting accustomed to their new magical states. Fluttershy wasn't being as excited as her friends, but she still do think that her wings look nice and pretty. She feel that she can be a little bit more closer to her birds. Spike was just happy that everyone was ok.

But then, just as Spike was about to excitingly run over to Twilight, his doggy ears suddenly picked up something. It sounded like it's someone is crying and was coming from the crater. Spike could see that he is the only one who can hear the crying and as everybody else were more focus on their new transformed states. With nobody noticing him walking away, the curious dog went and examine the noise by himself. When he went over and checked, Spike instantly became surprised and run back and tell Twilight and the others.

"Twilight, Come Quick! Somebody Is Crying In The Hole!" Spike barked

Unfortunately, Spike's barks fall on deaf ears as nobody was listening to him. He tried to bark louder but the girls was also making noise of their own. But fortunately, Fluttershy notice him and saw that he is trying to get everybody's attention. Wanting to help, she yell out: "GIRLS!"

Somehow, Fluttershy managed to get their attention and stop what they were doing. With everybody's eyes on her, she told everyone:

"Spike is telling us to look into the hole!"

Everybody was confused at first to what Fluttershy said. Even Spike as he was questioning if she could understand him. However, with everyone now quiet, they were finally able to hear the crying. They wonder how it is until Twilight remembers and yell out: "Sunset!" With everybody finally remembering her, they all ran towards the crater.

When they all reached the crater, they all became surprised when they saw Sunset curled up and crying in the centre of it. She was no longer a demon and was back to being a human again. Aside from some scuffs, marks and dirt, looked surprisingly well for somebody who have been hit by a magic beam.

However, even though she didn't look too bad physically, they all could tell that Sunset was emotionally devastated. They all spotted the crown a few inches away from her, but Sunset wasn't even trying to get it. She was just curling up into a fetal position and making streams of tears and sobbing. Even though they still hate her for everything that she did, it is still painful for them to watch Sunset be so broken like this

Curious and oddly sympathetic, Twilight ask her: "Why are you crying Sunset Shimmer?"

When she heard somebody talking to her, Sunset head shot up in surprise. But when she saw the girls that foiled her plans, her head fall back in defeat and shame. It didn't matter to her if they come to gloat or pity her, both were very painful for her. However, Sunset didn't care about anything anymore and see no point in hiding away her shame. She yell to them: "It's Because I Turned Into A Monster!"

Everyone became surprised when they heard Sunset say that. It takes genuine courage to admit to your mistake or that you might be a horrible person.

Sunset said to them: "I never really wanted power or to manipulate people. I just... wanted people to notice me and think I'm special."

"Notice You!" yell out Rainbow Dash.

Before Rainbow could say anything else, Fluttershy ask Sunset: "But... don't you have friends who pay attention to you?"

"No..." Sunset replied. "I never had any pony helping me and had to did everything by myself. I was alone for so long, I thought I never needed friends."

When she said that, Twilight's eyes widened. Nobody caring or wanting to be your friend. Being alone for so long that you think you have to take on the world by yourself just so you get recognition. It's sounded exactly what she had to went through before coming to Canterlot. But while Twilight found true friends at the end, Sunset didn't.

Bursting down farther into tears, Sunset told them: "And I thought... if I would get the crown... and got all the power... some-pony might look at me and think "Hey! That pony seems really cool and important." But I wanted it so much, I thought I had to do some really, really mean things to get it. And I... I..."

She stop speaking for a second. Sunset was crying so hard, it hampered her breathing and make it difficult for her to speak. However, with all of her remaining strength, Sunset yell out to Twilight and her friends in the most heartfelt and regretful tone:

"...I'M SO SORRY!!"

Everyone wasn't sure on what to think. They know that her actions are inexcusable and they are finding it really hard to forgive her too. However, they can clearly see that she is genuinely regretfull and realize that actions were bad. But while they were being confused, they all suddenly heard Twilight speak out.

"... I think I understand."

When she said it, both her friends and Sunset became surprised.

"When I came to this school, I never planned on making any friends. Like you, I thought I never needed anyone and could get by just by myself. Turns out I did made some friends here and realized that they aren't so bad. But then there was that video and I yelled and blame them for it. I felt so terrible after that. I thought I ruined my chance for ever making friends again."

Twilight pause for a moment as she was remebering that bad memory, but she then quickly turn around and says: "However, I soon discover that I wasn't too late. After I calmed down and learn a few things, I went back to them and apologized. I know it's too late for the actions that we did, but it's not too late for making friends."

Everyone around her was touched by her speech. Her friends behind her were so moved, they all gave her a group hug of affection. Down in the pit, even Sunset was moved by her words. Her tears of sorrow slowly become tears of joy and happiness. Sunset says to Twilight: "Thank you."

But then, after the heart-warming moment was over, everything went into an awkward silence. Twilight and everyone was sort of waiting for Sunset to get up from the pit or at least. However, she did not. Sunset wasn't getting up from the ground and the girls were slowly getting worried. Eventually, Sunset ask out to them: "Um... Can somebody help me?"

Everyone soon realize that Sunset couldn't move. Maybe after the magic blast, all of her energy also went away along with her demon form. Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie and Applejack quickly went down and give Sunset a hand. When they were helping her up, Sunset appreciated their help, especially after everything that she did for them.

Once everyone was out of the crater, the moment finally felt like a win for Twilight and her friends. Most of the student body had finally woken up and saw Sunset being carried. They felt like being angry at her, but couldn't since she might possibly be seriously injured. Everyone felt like celebrating and want to head back into the gym to finish the party, but Twilight still felt like that things aren't over yet. She spot the crown, the element of harmony, was still down in the ditch and still in their world. And when she look back at the mirror on the statue, Twilight realized that she still need to do one more thing: she must return the crown back to Equestria.

Author's Notes:

After I finished with the last chapters, I had a complet writer's block. I just couldn't come up with the write words, REALLY had trouble motivating myself and was more interested in other stuff at the time. However, when the seasons were coming around, I decided to finish my story before the end of the year.

Also, Twilight vision of seeing her pony self re-forming the Elements of Harmony. I wanted to teach Twilight on how she can use the Elements of Harmony and give her the way to stop Sunset Shimmer. In order to do that, I thought I should make her see the moment that the Mane 6 defeated Nightmare Moon.

Also, the student resistance thing. I wanted to give some of the students something to do and give Flash Sentry one last glory moment. At the same time, I also wanted to show that the mind controlled students can also be a threat, making them act like zombies and have them be an annoying threat.

Now a sidenote: The transformation. Not giving Twilight's wings should be obvious. She didn't had three seasons worth of friendship lessons and I'm sure some people might still miss Twilight as a pony. Also, I imagined that these characters would have a different transformation sequence then the movie, them going in pairs and not one at a time. I don't know, Just something different.

Also, I like writting Twilight's moments where she talk all the great and wonders of friendship. Not only because it shows how far she had developed, but I just thought it was a cool moment for her.

And now; Sunset Shimmer. I had a bit of fun writting Demon-Sunset/Demon-Shimmer, but that not what I want to talk about. It's the moment where she is crying in the crater and telling everyone her reasons. Through out this story, I tried to paint the Sunset that she is trying to be bad, trying to be an evil person. However, underneath, she was just misunderstood and didn't know on how to get the things that she want. And as I was writing down her words, even I felt sorry for her.

Ok, the next chapter is the last one. I hope all of you will enjoy it.

Epilogue- My Little Pony Friends

Twilight stands in front of the portal. With the crown held tightly within her hands, she knows what she must do. She must step through the mirror portal and must return this important item to the world where it belongs. However, with the uncertainty on who or what she is gunna find over there, Twilight's nerve was trying to get the best of her. She tried her best to remain calm and won't be deterred for this one final task.

But as she was readying herself, Twilight spotted her friend's reflection on the mirror in front of her. When she turns around towards them, she can see that all of them are understandably worried for her.

"I'm not liking this one bit Twilight" Applejack exclaimed. "This seems too dangerous."

Twilight says to them: "But we have to send the crown back to Equestria. Without it, they might have no other way to defend themselves."

"Yeah, we get that" Rainbow Dash replied. "It just... why don't we get Sunset to do this? She's the one who caused all of this mess."

However, Twilight replied back: "Sunset can't move because of our fight and I'm the only other person who has a clue on what is on the other side."

Everyone then took a moment to look behind them towards the school. They could see Sunset resting exhaustingly on the ground and being watched on by a few teachers and students. She is clearly in no shape to move.

They all reluctantly admit that Sunset can't do it. However, when they turn back to Twilight, Applejack asks her: "Well can we at least come with ya?"

Pinkie then adds: "Yeah! This Equestria place sounds like a fun place."

Twilight can understand her friend's concern. However, Twilight feel that she must do this alone (even though she can't explain it). She says to them: "Look; If I can't find anybody within the first... three minutes, I'll leave the crown on the ground and run right back. I just don't want anybody else trap over there because of me."

Her friends still don't like this idea. They can sort of understand where she is coming from, but they know that they can't let her go alone. However, when they all look at her, they each can see the determination within Twilight's eyes. Even though she might be scared, she doesn't want her friends to be in even more danger. Applejack was still against the idea, but she slowly began to notice the others around her was becoming conflicted and confused. Another look at Twilight was also begging them to let her go. Reluctantly, AJ finally caves in and she told Twilight:

"Oh Fine! Just don't stay to long, ok?"

Twilight smiled and replied: "I won't ."

Once it had been (reluctantly) decided that she was going to go alone, all of her friends said a few words to Twilight before she go. Telling her to "come back safely" and "make a note on the stuff that she sees". Once she feels that she was ready, Twilight turn around and was about to head into the portal. However, before she could make a step forward, she spotting Spike sitting below and blocking her path.

Trying to be stern, Twilight told Spike: "No Spike! You are staying here this time!"

However, as soon as she said it, Spike then put on his puppy-dog eyes and was shooting them strait at Twilight. In mere moments, Twilight ground in frustration and yells out: "AGHH! Not Those Eyes!" Her friends behind her was chuckling to Twilight's discomfort and was glad that at least somebody is going with her.

Once the scene calmed down, Twilight and Spike was prepared to go through the portal. They look at their worried friends one more time and silently telling them to see them soon. Once she took a deep breath, Twilight and Spike plunges themselves through disappeared. Her friends were then left to question if they made their right choice,

However, their thoughts became interrupted once they heard a loud thud. When they look around, they saw Rainbow Dash was down to the ground and looked like she had fell. They instantly notice that her new wings were gone as well pony ears and tail. They then quickly discover that all of their magical (pony) add-ons were gone and all of their magic were gone. They were confused, but slowly thought it might have something to do with Twilight taking back the crown. As Rainbow was getting up, she commented:

"Well... It was nice while it lasted."

Meanwhile, Twilight was plummeting through a rainbow storm as she was trying to get to Equestria. Her eyes were being bombarded with so many different colours that it was slowly giving her a seizure. While trying to fight off a killer headache, Twilight was wishing that this fall could end soon. But not long after, her wished came true. Spike and Twilight popped out another mirror and finally came to Equestria... and then received a hard landing.

After landing on her front side, Twilight began to recover from her fall and her seizure. She quickly got better and was eager to return the crown (if only she won't get trapped for about a year). When Twilight opens her eyes, she quickly found the crown in front of her... but then she saw something else.

Twilight saw a small reptilian creature that was picking itself up. It was about the size of a dog. In fact, it looked a bit like her dog. It has purple scales that matches Spike's purple fur, the green fins on top looks like Spike's green hair on his head and the creature's overall appearance reminds Twilight of Spike. Curiously, Twilight calls out to it.

"Spike? Is that you?"

The dragon-like creature instantly responded to Twilight when she calls to it. It's gaze shoot towards Twilight eagerness and excitement. However, when it saw her, its excited expression went away and was replaced with a confused look. And then, in perfect, understandable English, it speaks back to her:

"Twilight?" asked the little purple dragon

"Is that really you Spike!?" responded a surprised Twilight. "You look so strange and different and... DID YOU JUST TALK!"

Spike looked at himself and realized that he has completely changed. Oddly chuffed, Spike commented: "Huh... I guess I did." He then look back at Twilight and then says to her: "But you're the one who should see themselves."

"What do you mean?" Twilight replied.

However, it wasn't long for her to discover what has happened to her. Twilight caught a glimpse of her arms; she saw that her hands were gone. And in their place; she saw hooves. Confused and starting to panic, she soon found a mirror standing nearby. When she looked at her reflection, Twilight had made a horrifyingly discovery that she had become a pony.

Seeing what has happened, Twilight really started to panic and looking like she was about to scream. However, in the small opportunity to stop her, Spike lunges forward and covers Twilight's mouth up with his claws. She still screams with her mouth shut, but it was muffled and nobody far away would hear her. When she stops, Spike ask her: "Are you finished?" Twilight nod and Spike let go of her mouth. "Good. We don't need a ruckus on our hands."

As Twilight was taking deep breaths, she began trying to accept her new body. She looks back at the mirror to get a better picture of her at herself. She saw that she still has her horn on top of her head, but since she is was a pony, that would make her a unicorn. When Twilight managed to get onto her four legs, she didn't felt uncomfortable and was maintaining her balance. It just standing like that wasn't something that she uses to and finding it a bit awkward.

It was at this moment that Twilight and Spike discover that they were in a room. There were paintings and few decorations on the wall that tried to make the room seem posh. However, the only thing that seem striking to them was that almost everything else seem to be made from crystals. A crystal floor. A crystal ceiling. The only thing that wasn't crystalized was the door. It was also reminding Twilight of Crystal Prep for some reason.

Twilight and Spike then spot the only other thing in the room besides them; a tall mirror. Twilight quickly deduces that that's the portal that they came from and the one that they need to go back through once they were done.

"Can you walk like that?" asked Spike, snapping Twilight into attention.

After stomping a few of her hooves, Twilight hesitantly replied: "I think so?"

Once she got use to her new body, Twilight quickly found the crown and make no delay in picking it up. However, as soon as she scoops it up with her hoof, Twilight found something that catches her eye. She found a small black guitar pick. Twilight was confused and question why a guitar pick was there. However, as she was thinking about it, she remembers her first encounter with Flash and recall that he had lost his pick. He was said he lost it somewhere around the statue... and around the portal. Twilight quickly piece together how it got here. Thinking that she can return it to him, Twilight picks up the pick and tucks it away in her hair.

Once that was over and done with, Twilight remind herself what she had come her to do. She tells Spike: "Come on Spike! We wasted enough time as it is." Happily agreeing with her, Spike got up to the door (on all fours) and opens it for her. Twilight then tried walking towards the door, but found that walking on four legs was giving her a bit of trouble. When she got to the door, Twilight groan and then tells Spike: "Let's find somebody to give the crown to and get out of here."

But then, after Twilight had finally got out of the room, she stumbles into somebody. When she look and see who it was, she made the unexpected discovery that it was... Twilight. The Twilight that was an alicorn princess and the rightful owner of the crown.

When both Twilights saw each other, both of them were left absolutely speechless. Human Twilight didn't not expect on running into her herself and did not know what to say to her. Alicorn Twilight, in turn, just stare at her double in utter confusion. Even Spike was also left speechless as he did not know how to respond to see two copies of his master.

"Hi" greeted human Twilight very nervous and awkwardly.

"Um... Hi?" replied princess Twilight hesitantly.

Princess Twilight then notice that her clone was carrying the element of harmony. Human Twilight realized this and quickly told her: "I Can Explain!" Princess Twilight was a little bit suspicous with all of this, but was willing to hear her out.

Both Twilights decided to head back into the room so they can talk privately. Once they were alone, Twilight then began telling her Equestria counterpart about everything. Explaining who she is and how she got there. Explaining that she moved to a new school and how she got the crown. Talking about her new friends, Sunset Shimmer and everything that she had to do to get the crown back. Even though she should be a bit more sceptical to what she was saying, but Princess Twilight was captivated with everything that her human counterpart is telling her.

"... And with Sunset defeated, I then came through the portal so I can give the crown back to you" explained Twilight Sparkle as she was finishing up her story.

"Wow! That must have been tough" replied Princess Twilight who was certainly impressed. "I can't imagine anypony having to go through that kind of mess."

Human Twilight sighed and responded: "Yeah, it was really stressful." However, after taking a deep breath and look up, Twilight then add: "But... at least I had my friends there to help me out."

Princess Twilight look at her other world counterpart and saw how relax and cheerful she was. It was like she had learned an important lesson that she won't let herself forget. Even though it was already literal, it was like she was looking at herself. "Yeah. Friends are great" said Princess Twilight out loud.

But then, as both girls were thinking about their friends and was glad to have them, they heard a noise by the mirror. When they look towards it, they saw Spike who was standing by the mirror and looking a bit anxious. "Come on Twilight. I think it's time to head back now."

Twilight's eyes widened and responded: "Ooh, right! I don't want to be trapped here."

As the two ponies got up from sitting on the ground, Princess Twilight tells them: "Well thanks a lot for returning this to me. I was going crazy looking for this."

Twilight replied: "No problem. Just keep a better hold of it next time."

Once Twilight and Spike was getting ready to leap back through the portal, Twilight stop for a moment so she can bid farewell to her other world counterpart. "Well... it's been nice meeting you, Equestrian version of me."

"The same here" the princess pony replied. But then, just as her counterpart was about to leave, Princess Twilight told: "And remember: always call on your friends if you need help."

Human Twilight smiled and replied: "Thanks. I will."

And with that, Twilight and Spike went back through the mirror portal. And as soon as they left, the Princess stood there for a moment and wish her counterpart the best of luck before she head back with her recently returned crown.

The next day, everything mostly went back to normal. However, just because things went back to normal doesn't mean that Canterlot High hadn't changed. After the Fall Formal, the student body have been starting to interact a bit more with itself and students have been getting along better than before. Plan and preparations had been on restoring the damaged part of the school and is looking to be done within a few months. Things are turning out better than ever.

And outside in the courtyard, 6 friends were cheerfully chatting the day away by the statue. Twilight was sitting on the statue and was surrounded by her friends. Everyone had been asking and demanding Twilight on what she saw on the other side of the portal. Even though she didn't really have much to talk about, she tried her best to sedate their curiosites.

"... So yeah. After I handed back the crown and I told my story, me and Spike just headed back" Twilight explained to her friends.

Pinkie Pie, who wasn't satisfied, got up to Twilight and ask Twilight: "Oh come on Twilight! There has got to be more to the story then that?"

"Sorry Pinkie" Twilight replied. "I didn't have much to see. If I stayed any longer, I might have been trapped."

Fluttershy speaks up and asks: "And speaking of which: Are we sure the portal isn't still open?"

"Nah" Applejack replied. Since she's the who was closest to the mirror and was practically leaning against it, AJ began knocking on the mirror and show everybody that the portal is closed. "The portal is shut tighter then Granny Smith's secret to make Zap-Apple Jam."

Twilight then adds: "Yeah... Even though I might learn a lot of things by staying in Equestria, there are just so many people here who I can't go on without." After she says that, she look down to her friends, clearly hinting that she means them. Everyone else, in turn, looks back at her and felt heart warmed when she said it.

However, even though they obviously knows that she means them, Rarity gone up to Twilight ear and jokingly ask her: "And is one of those people is a blue-haired guitarist named Flash Sentry?" Twilight soon became embarrassed and her cheeks began to blush and everyone else started chuckling out loud to her discomfort.

"What, No!" Twilight denied. "I told you that I wasn't interested in him!"

However, Rarity said out loud: "Oh come now darling. Both me and Fluttershy saw you dancing with him."

"That's only because you left him with me!"

While her friends were still laughing to her expense, Twilight's annoyance steadily grew. Having it enough, she yell at them as clear as she can: "Look! I'm not interested in boys or dating. "will I date in the future?" Probably. "Will it be Flash?" Unlikely. It just that, at the moment, I don't want to be concerned about dating.

Seeing how annoyed Twilight is, everyone decided to back off and stop teasing her. "Ok Twilight, we will stop" said Rarity very politely. However, in the back of her mind, she knows that she didn't say "No" about dating Flash.

"Thank you" Twilight replied, feeling somewhat relieved.

However, while everyone was looking, Twilight secretly got out the guitar pick that belongs to Flash and silently stair at it. She could give it back to him, but she decided to keep it as memento. Even though she doesn't want to admit it to anybody, but Twilight does think that Flash is a bit charming and sweet. If he can keep it up and won't be annoying to her, then she might actually consider giving him a real chance in the future.

"What are you looking at Twilight?" ask Pinkie Pie whose head just pop out from bellow.

"Hm! Oh this!? It's nothing. Just a pieve of plastic that I found" replied Twilight while sounding very nonchalant about it.

"Okey Dokey!"

Once Twilight put the pick away, the girls just relax and appreciating the nice sunny day. However, while they were enjoying one sun, one of them notices another one coming that might ruin their mood.

"Heads up guys" yell out Rainbow Dash to the other girls.

When they look up, they all became surprised when they notice Sunset Shimmer across the yard. She seemed a bit timid and a bit nervous. Everyone wasn't sure what she want, but they began to be a bit cautious. When she builds up enough courage, Sunset side-step around the crater and sheepishly walk towards the girls.

"Um... Hi" Sunset greeted nervously.

Surprised, Twilight ask her: "Sunset! What are you doing here?"

Trying to be cool, Sunset tells them: "Well, since the portal is now closed, I can't really go back there."

"No, I think she means "Why are you still doing here, at this school?"" Interrupted Rainbow Dash. "Everyone here pretty much hates you now." With how bluntly that she put it, everyone then began giving Rainbow a cold stair. "What!? That what everybody else is saying."

However, Sunset tells them: "Don't worry. I pretty much know what everybody thinks of me. That's... actually one of the reasons why I want to come and talk." Grabbing their attention, she explains to them: "You see, when I was down in that crater, I thought my life was pretty much over. However, you still forgave me even after everything that I did. I was kind of happy... but I know that I shouldn't deserve it... "

During a moment of silence, everyone was sort of making up their mind on Sunset. The only person who really forgiven her was Twilight and they respect her for that. However, most of them still has some resentment towards her for breaking up their friendship and was a little hesitant on trusting her yet. But then, Sunset look towards them with a hopeful smile says to them:

"However... I want to be someone who is deserving of forgiveness. I want to stay here at CHS and try to make up for all the things that I did wrong. I even have to beg to Principal Celestia and Luna to let me stay."

Sunset then remembers her meeting with the principals. She told them about her plan, but they were hesitant about the idea. "But Sunset, even if you do apologize and make it up to the other students, do you think they will easily accept you?" asked Celestia.

But back at the present, Sunset told Twilight and her friends: "But I said to her "I doesn't matter if they accept me or not. All that matter is that I let go of my past and start working towards to be a better... me."" And then, while everyone take back by that small speech, Sunset says to them: "So... even if you never want to see me again, I'm just want to say I'm sorry."

Once she was done, Sunset then began to walk away and leave Twilight and everyone in an utter state of disbelief. They all look at each other and began thinking on what they gunna do.

"What do you think guys?" ask Fluttershy out loud.

While everyone else was thinking up a good answer, Pinkie was the first one to speak. "Well, she seems that she is really sorry about everything. Maybe we should forgive her?"

"Really! Do you even remember what she did to use?" rebutted Rainbow Dash. "We had been fighting for months because of her. Do you think we should forgive her that easily?"

But Rarity then replied: "I can see your point Rainbow Dash, but don't you think she isn't being sincere with her apology?"

"Well no, put..."

"And besides..." Applejack added. "She gave up goin' home for another year just so she can apologize to use. We got to think about that."

"Yes! Yes! I Know!" yell out Rainbow Dash. "I'm not above forgiving her either, it just that Twilight said that we can't forget out issues or something. Remember?"

Everyone then soon remembers that Twilight did in deed say something like that and they all nod their heads. Still very unsure about it, Fluttershy turn towards Twilight and ask her: "What do you think Twilight?" Twilight then took a moment to think about it

Once she was done, Twilight got down from the statue. Even though she didn't give a word to them, her friends sort of know on what she is going to do. Twilight then heads out towards Sunset Shimmer and cry out to her.

"SUNSET!"

When she look back, Sunset became surprised when she saw Twilight coming towards her. When Twilight caught up to her, she was left to wonder why she came after her.

In much sincerity, Twilight ask her: "Hey, Rarity is taking everyone shopping later. Do you want to come?"

Left in disbelief, Sunset ask back: "Seriously? Do you guys want me to come along?"

"Yeah, I'm sure. I bet the other guys don't have a problem with it either."

When both Sunset and Twilight look back at the statue, they saw everybody were looking happy towards them. Fluttershy and Rarity were pleasantly smiling, Pinkie Pie looked like she was excited, AJ was giving a cheerful smirk and even Rainbow Dash looked like she isn't bothered by her inclusion.

At first, Sunset thought that she was undeserving of their kindness. However, she then thought that this might actually help her to get better. Hesitantly, Sunset replied: "Ok. Sure."

Twilight just smiles and was glad that she accepted. She then take Sunset to the rest of her their friends.

A few days later, Sunset was busy filling in the crater in the school's court yard. When she was done shovelling a pile of dirt, she stop for a moment so she can stretch her aching back. However, Sunset bend over the hole that she was filling and she accidently falls in. But fortunately, the crater was already so filled in that it was just a shallow pit.

Sunset was about to pick herself up, until a figure suddenly appeared. When she look up, she saw Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Applejack, Rainbow Dash and Rarity standing over her and Twilight was leaning down and giving her a hand. Feeling happy to see them, Sunset take Twilight's hand.

*Huff* With that out of the way, let's talk about some scenes, shall we?

I really wanted Twilight to be the only person to go to Equestria (asides from Spike). However, I couldn't think of a convincing reason to get her friends to stay. I still wished that I gave a good reason, but I liked how I wrote that her eyes were filled with "determination!" That just sounds badass.

Also, Sunset being injured. That was my reason on why she never went back to Equestria in this universe. I mean, her reason for staying is still is that she want to learn about friendship, but saying that she can't move sounds a bit more legit.

In fact, as I was writing most of this story, I had been coming up with ways on fixing the problems of the movie that everybody else had a problem with. A reason why Twilight enter the princess ballad. A reason why there was a dance sequence in the cafeteria. Honestly, I never intended this story to be a fix fic'. However, I still liked the result nether the less and actually made the story a bit better.

Also, Spike speak in perfect english. I'm letting you know now: When Spike went back to the human world, he lost his ability to speak english again and went back to talking like a dog. But originally, I would have had Spike absorb some of the magic from the battle in the last chapter and could speak permanently. However, I thought some people might not like that idea so I scrapped it. Maybe he can talk again in a possible sequel?

And on a side note, I really enjoyed writing the part where both Twilight's meet each other. Picking the right dialogue was a bit tricky, but I think I did a good job.

Oh! Before I forget: Twilight and Flash might be a couple in this world's future. I know some people still hate him, but in this story, I think I did a good enough job that he might deserve Twilight. However, Twilight still isn't serious about Flash and most likely never will. She just sees him as charming and a good person, but he is still not the type of person that she likes. But still, she would enjoy his company.

Originally, this story would have had a longer prologue. The proper story would have ended when Twilight invited Sunset to the get together and the real epilogue would be Twilight helping Sunset fixing up the hole. She would talk to Sunset about Equestria and learn all the stuff the she wants to know about magic. I decided to shorten it and have it end here was because of deadlines.

Also, I wanted to have Twilight to write a later to Dean Cadence back and Crystal Prep. She would have said that she was having a good time and making friends. I wanted to add it to the story, but I somehow thougth that it would be out of place. However, I am telling you now, Twilight did send a letter and Cadence is proud of her.

And finally... the credits video of "My Little Pony Friends". I thought that since that video was the insperation for this fic', I thought that it would be best if I had it be the credits for my story. It was originally meant to be the credits song for the movie after all.
